I'm so lucky to have this place 1 mile from my home! The food is fresh & fantastic! The customer service is great and the staff is willing to let you try samples!!! Nice relaxing dining area and soothing outdoor garden eating area with a pond. Best Cheesesteaks in the area!

Having a deli spot for out in the sticks is cool! I miss having a real sandwich, hot corn beef piled high made to order, nobody does it like Detroit. This place is good for lunches...and is sometimes hit or miss. I've had breakfast a few times and it was just okay. They have fun and different names for the sandwiches, but they are lacking flavor. That punch. The bread makes it hard to even enjoy the filling...In a pinch its a place to go. But overall...its just ok .

Gigantic selection, prompt service, large portions... Prices are a little bit expensive, but the portions make up for it.

This place is brand new having just recently been converted into a full service deli and restaurant from an ice cream shop. Amazing, amazing sandwiches. Good bread to meat to toppings ratio. The menu is ginormous with something for everyone.

My husband and I LOVE the NY Deli! My hubby grew up in NJ outside of NYC, and says this place is the real deal. Everything we've ordered has been delicious, and the staff are super friendly. We love the Times Square and always end up ordering the "Crazy Johnny" size - it feeds us several meals!

Nice find. True deli, food was great, portions were huge.

This place is awesome! They use really quality ingredients in a very creative way. My favorite sandwich is the Central Park -- grilled chicken breast, broccoli rabe, fresh mozzarella, banana peppers and ranch spread. Delicious!

Stopped in the other day and enjoyed an Italian Combo Sub. It was delicious the meats were fresh and flavorful. The portions were large. The staff was courteous and charming. I am looking forward to my next meal there.

Awesome NY style deli! It is right down the road from where I work and the prices are excellent. Try getting a sub like this from Subway, you won't be able to! I recommend this place to everyone when they ask "What's good around here?" My favorite choices are the Wet & Spicy and The Palmer, but honestly, I have never had a bad sandwich from here. If you ever find yourself passing through the Brandywine area, stop in and give it a try, you won't regret it.

The best!! I'm from NY, and this deli makes me feel like I'm back home. The best heroes, highest quality meats, freshly baked breads. My family and I LOVE this place. We drive 40 minutes to get sandwiches from NY deli. So worth it!!

Did you ever not want to write a review because others may find your secret spot, well then you know my dilemma. This place is AWESOME!!! I don't know how they can make a profit on these sandwiches because they are so packed, I couldn't buy the cold cuts and make my own sandwich for the price. Plus it's Boars Head meats, and they sell them by the pound so I could try to make my own sandwich if I wanted to... but I think I'll leave it up to them.

This place has the best subs around! Each one is delicious and huge. Their variety is wonderful. Don't bother with a sandwich, you have to get the sub. The portions are very generous, all their food is fresh, and they work hard to maintain the cleanliness of their restaurant. Every time I visit, they are always cleaning or refilling something and I have never been disappointed. Absolutely worth every penny and I encourage anyone in the area to stop by and try a sub. You will be extremely glad you did.

I grew up eating the Italian food my grandfather, Luigi Sacco, used to make. Since moving to the DC area, I've been very disappointed in the Italian restaurants I've found. This isn't my grandfather's kitchen, but it's close.

This place has the BEST Subs.....they can be a lil skimpy on the fries....but you cant go wrong with them.!!!!!!!!

I "heart" this place too! I had the Tongue Fu sub, $8.99 size. Look on their web site for a description. OMG! Excellent! The sub roll, fresh baked makes it taste even better. I should have asked for a 6" size but did not know I could until another diner told me as he laughed at me and my huge sub. This diner wished me good luck on finishing my sub as he left. Since I am not as foolish as I look, most times, I ate 1/2 and took the other part home for dinner. The business in this building keeps changing every few years. I hope this reincarnation into an Italian Deli stay around longer than the other defunct businesses. We need to support local places that are good, like this place, so we have more choices than run-of-the-mill, cookie cutter type joints. They also have healthy eating choices. For example, order the Chef Salad (comes with roast beef, ham & turkey) if you want to lower your carbohydrate intake. Just go light on the salad dressing. For breakfast, order the egg whites with turkey bacon. If you want to feast out, order the "Hungry Man", gotta be enough for 2. If you have a large group, order take out. There are only a few tables to eat in. Support a local business; GO!

Deciding to come here on a whim, I thought this place would be easy to find....relatively speaking. Yea, not exactly. This place defines what it means to be "in the cut". It's located off of a side street that runs diagonally. Also, the place looks like a house. If not for the very plain sign with the restaurant name, I would've thought it was a bed & breakfast or something. Aside from the odd location and even odder exterior, everything else makes perfect sense. The interior is relatively small and during peak times, packed with folks trying to get a great sandwich. Basically you walk to the counter, look up at the menus listed above, order and pay. You're given a numbered placecard and can grab a seat while you wait or stand and watch these sandwich engineers expertly construct these delicious creations. The menu is creative and has a lot of variety. There's the standard sandwiches/subs along with specialty concoctions that come with catchy names such the "Archie Bunker" and the "Honeymooners". They also offers paninis, burgers, salads, breakfast food as well as classic Italian entrees. I tried the Brooklyn Bridge, the Palmer, the Empire State and the Big Fat Pauley. The Brooklyn Bridge is basically steak and cheese with lettuce, tomato, sautéed onion, peppers and mayo. That joint was stacked. True to their restuarant name, they make delis everywhere proud by providing fresh meat, which was tender and seasoned. The condiments were heaped on, creating a gooey and delicious marriage that would only be made better by providing some napkins and a place to take a nap. The Palmer consists of corned beef, melted swiss, cole slaw and Russian dressing. To quote Campbell's soups it was "Mmmmm mmm good"! The corned beef was fresh, tender and had a firm texture. The saltiness from it paired well with the tang from the cole slaw and Russian dressing. Now that's what I'm talkin' bout! The Empire State is a sentimental treat given that NY is my native state. Most folks across the state have had some variation of a chicken sandwich/sub with different fixings (cue drool for Buffalo's chicken finger sub). At NY Italian Deli, the Empire State consists of grilled or fried chicken, mozzarella, sautéed spinach, roasted red peppers and pesto mayo. I chose the fried chicken and went to town on that sub. First off, the sub was stacked. Definitely need two hands for this bad boy. The chicken were large pieces that were moist, fairly tender and perfectly seasoned. The pesto mayo added another layer of flavor along with a creamy element to keep the sandwich moist. For me, the spinach was the key by adding a different texture along with some color. My one complaint would be that some of the red peppers were a bit too soft, giving them a gelatinous sort of texture. The Big Fat Pauley consists of fried chicken, pastrami, jalapenos, cheese, lettuce, tomato and mustard. That sub weighs like 2 lbs! You know what? It was 2 lbs. of pure deliciousness! Flavors burst from all angles making this a roller coaster for the taste buds. I think it's the jalapenos that really make this sandwich by adding a moderate amount of heat. Plus, gotta love the name of this creation! I'm also happy to report that this lovely establishment does not engage in price gouging. A stacked 8 inch sub is $7.49. Wraps are $7.99. 12 inch subs labeled "Big Sub" are $8.99. Not exactly Subway prices, but not bad either. Can I get back there any faster? I'll get there faster than RGIII outrunning a defensive lineman. Oh....wait.....that's too easy. What I mean is, please excuse me while I plan my next meal!

I finally made my way out to NY Italian Deli & Restaurant - I've had this place bookmarked for a while based on MO A.'s awesome review, so I was pretty ecstatic that we finally were able to check this place out! (On a side note: We took the back roads to get there, as it was prime time for rush hour - however, along the way, on Floral Park Rd, we saw a residence that had 3 donkeys (which I totally got out of the car to say 'Hello' to, which made the evening even so much better HA)). When we finally arrived at the place, I thought it looked really cute! I loved the 'NY Giants' fan parking only sign and a NY taxi cab parked on the lot; the establishment itself looked like a little house (a side note: getting out is a little tricky, as it's onto a 3-way intersection). Inside, it was bright and cheery (little fireplace with cute little 'Italian chef' statues on the mantle), and the 3 guys who were on shift that night were all pretty friendly and awesome - great sense of humor, too! They had a deli case that showcased Boar's Head deli meats and cheeses, and the prep area had fresh veggies/toppings/condiments. The menu offers Italian fare (musseles marinara, calamari, avvolti, zuppa del giorno, penne con vodka, chicken marsala, lasagna, linguini, shrimp scampi, etc.), breakfast items (omelettes and breakfast paninis & sandwiches), salads, burgers/wings/fries/onion rings, as well as their famous signature subs/sandwiches. There are 5 sizes/ways you can have your sammy prepared ('Sandwich' (still on a sub roll; 6 inches), 'Big Sub,' 'Crazy Johnny,' 'Wrap,' and in a 'Panini' style) - I tried the Goodfella Sandwich (came with a chicken cutlet, prosciutto, mozzarella, roasted red pepper, lettuce, tomato, and balsamic vinegar - this was okay, but more on the 'wet' side with the vinaigrette); the Empire State Sandwich (your choice of either grilled or fried chicken (we chose the latter; it is battered, like what you would use for chicken parmigiana - my husband was a huge fan of the fried chicken, but would want that to be used in another sandwich style or in a customized one of his own)), mozzarella cheese, sauteed spinach, roasted red peppers, and pesto mayo - this sandwich was nice and fresh); the Brooklyn Bridge Sandwich (steak & cheese (American cheese), mayo, and sauteed onions (you can also add lettuce, tomato, and peppers) - I liked this one the best, as it was the 'healthiest' steak & cheese I've had); and, the Stevy the Weasel (buffalo chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, hot peppers, jalapenos, onion, and a chipotle aioli spread - definitely a lot of sliced chicken breast deli meat, but I enjoyed the jalapenos and the olives within). We also had an order of the Buffalo wings (on the forgettable side; they were on the extremely 'wet' version), Miss Vickie's chips, and a Welch's sparkling grape soda. It took a while for our sandwiches to be prepared (we did order 4 - AHAHA), but when it was time to dig in, it was pretty solid - everything was wrapped neat and tight, and the ingredients that were literally stacked and shoved into the sandwiches were extremely generous! The bread was nice and soft, and it complemented the sandwiches well. There were tons of people coming in an out for to-go orders, and this place seemed quite happening! The only thing that was a little annoying were the flies/gnats in the dining area, so it can be quite a bother if you plan on eating there rather than getting your orders to go. I'd love to come back and try out their other sub specialties - definitely a more legit option than other sub stores/chains (ie, Subway)! Everything was fresh, generous in ingredients, and had a pretty good price point. Don't forget to ring the cowbell by the door if you were satisfied :D +extremely generous in ingredients in the subs (NO JOKE)!!! +the Brooklyn Bridge Sandwich (healthiest version of steak & cheese) +friendly, awesome staff :D +ring the cowbell for awesome service/if you enjoyed your food! :D

We loved this place... four of us drove in from Arlington (one person in our party had been here previously for lunch and loved it so we decided to try it out for breakfast) to try out their Breakfast and it was outstanding!! The service was great, friendly, helpful. polite and accommodating. I appreciate when the employees don't frown when you have special instructions for the preparation of your order...these employees were eager to please. The Deli itself is impeccably clean and organized, the bathrooms were immaculate. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh and perfectly prepared. The Omlettes were plentiful, the scrambled eggs fluffy, the cheese melted to perfection and the Italian Sausage was very tasty and beautifully sliced, prepared and presented. The coffee was fresh and tasted oh so good!!! The Deli cases looked great, the food that was displayed looked fresh and very neat and clean. I really appreciated that all of their meats are Boars Head...quality product. Will definitely come back again, not only for a VERY REASONABLY priced and delicious breakfast but also to try out one of the very tempting Signature Sandwich and Entrée selections!!!

This is an interesting deli. I feel like they need a remodel to maximize their space and the flow of the restaurant. I got the cold cut sub which was over stuffed and was pretty damn tasty. I just wish the guys let me customize the sandwich, they were so quick I didn't even realize they had made it while I was standing there. If you are in the area and want a large meal for a good price make sure to come here!!

If I could give this place 6 stars, I would! Being from Jersey, I miss little mom and pop shop Italian food places. I've driven passed this place over 100 times, but just haven't had the chance to go in. The workers are all from New York, which is definitely a plus! The menu was so overwhelming, but in a good way! They have SO many amazing choices for their sandwiches... or as I would say, hoagies. They also let me try their pasta salads they had behind the glass, which were fabulous! I'm from right outside of Philly and haven't had a real Philly cheese steak in forever! There's a sandwich that is steak and cheese. So, I asked the guy how it compares. He said someone from Philly actually loves it. I was exhausted coming from work, so I didn't feel like trying to decide forever. I ended up going with the steak and cheese. ........... OH MY GOOOODNESS!!!! It was SOOOO good! I would have taken a picture, but I was too excited to eat it, and then it was so good that it was gone before I had the chance. Oops :) It was stuffed with meat, which is how hoagies are supposed to be! It's more like a cheese steak hoagie, than an actual cheese steak though because it had lettuce, tomato, and peppers (I opt out of the peppers though). They were priced fairly, too. I could literally go on forever about how excited I am that I finally found an amazing hoagie place, but I won't. :) But if you haven't checked this place out, DO SO IMMEDIATELY! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!'

This is a great cozy deli. Reminds you of something you would find in New York. Sandwiches are very good and they give you plenty of meat. Staff is friendly. I got a club sandwich. The bacon was awesome on it. Only thing they need to do is sale ice cream.

Delicious! First time here and I really liked it. Can't wait to come back and try more on the menu. Lots of hot and cold subs, quick service. Had the Italian combo and I like that the using good bread. Most places outside of NYC don't. Real community spot with lots of locals coming in and out. You always know it's good if mechanics and cops eat there.

Good find for a sandwich or hot food in MD. If you are by here and hungry, stop! Typical deli selections, not so typical for MD. Thanks for Bringing some NYC to MD.

Love coming here time and time again. Absolutely love it. The salads and subs are great. I wouldn't waste my time going to subway because it just doesn't compare.

A convenient and delicious hotspot for the locals. Due to the neighboring high school, coming around 2:30 to 3:00 might be a bit hectic but the service is quite fast and it usually clears out soon after. The only reason I gave four stars is due to the cramped quarters if you happen to arrive during a busy hour. Thankfully however, most of the time you can call in your orders for a quick take out.

A local mechanic that fixed rescued my car from death. I plan on going back. They have a lovely restaurant and outdoor patio. NY Italian Deli & Restaurant has incredible food and the drive just to eat here.

My husband has been raving about this place for years but I didn't see how a deli could be worth the hour+ drive. I was so wrong, SO wrong. I'm a vegetarian and I ordered the NY Yankees sub. It has fried eggplant, peppers, onions, spinach, cheese and a chili sauce. It is by far the best sandwich I have ever had. Life-changing is the only way I can describe it. The bread is amazing and the portions are crazy. A regular sub is enough for at least two full meals. My husband tries something new every time and has never been disappointed. His favorite in the Brooklyn bridge which is a steak and cheese sandwich. They have a few tables in the deli area with more seating in their restaurant and patio down the hall. The decor isn't much to be desired but I'm too busy stuffing my face with amazing deliciousness to care. The staff is super attentive. We were there on a slow down and the waitress's brought is the remote so we could watch we wanted on the TV. Again, too busy eating to watch TV. The owner was working the cash register and he is such a nice guy. Before we left he made it a point to ask us how everything was even though he was busy himself. Overall, eat here as soon as you can. You will not be disappointed!

Can't believe that sych a great sub place is here. Food is made with high quality ingredients. Love the John Gottiand the Central Park. Eat here often!!

If you ever find yourself in Waldorf around lunch time, you should stop here for a size able meat concoction. With fresh cuts of corned beef and many other delectable proteins, not to mention the impressive cheeses, toppings, and sauces, all served on a generous roll, this place serves up the best sandwiches you will ever have. The regular size is filling enough, but I somehow managed to eat the large size.

My co-workers and I were traveling to an event and needed a quick lunch, so I saw this place and its 4.5 stars on yelp and directed the caravan here. When we pulled in the parking lot, everyone was giving me crap because the outside looks like a hole in the wall. By the time we all ate lunch, I received apologies from everyone I was with. The food was excellent and probably a top 5 sandwich I ever had in my life. The food quality was amazing, the bread, chicken, and mozzarella cheese were perfect. We liked it so much that for the next week my coworkers kept suggesting we take a 3 hour road trip down to Brandywine for lunch to go back to this place. If you live in Brandywine, I envy you as I would be here every single day of the week for lunch. The near perfect rating is for real, these are some fantastic subs.

  • S. B.

Love the quirkiness of this place, there's an old school yellow cab parked in their parking lot. Most of the sandwiches and subs make reference to NYC. I took a moment to check out the menu board and decided to go with the Italian Combo. I ended up sharing the huge sub with my hubby. We both agreed that it was pretty darn good. I personally, would have preferred a little red onion and even a few peppers for some heat on this sandwich, but that's how I roll. On the Deli side of things they offer some very tasty looking salads and other sides. Perhaps, something to try on my next visit;))

Excellent New York Style Subs and Sandwiches, and great breakfast. This place is small and very busy, but well worth the effort to eat here

  • Leellani C.

Still good service food always fresh and even when it's busy orders come out relatively quick, also this is one place where I am not afraid to call in my order while driving home (I put the number in my hands free blue tooth list) we need more places like this hopefully with the new customer traffic quality will stay high and the business will flourish. Support local business that give good service!!!

  • Emilia R.

They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I have had many different sub/sandwiches from here over the last year since I was first introduced to this place. I have NEVER been disappointed. Trust me that is a big statement cause I am a foodie. The food is always fresh and tasty. I can honestly say these subs are probably the best I have ever had. The Central Park and the United Nation are probably my two favorites. The fries are delicious too - not too salty. Their baklava is also great, though many people who frequent the place aren't familiar with what it is. Took my boyfriend here for the first time and he had the Jimmy the King (meatball sub) and now he wants to come to work with me just so we can get lunch at this deli :) The guys working there are really nice, helpful and accommodating. My only complaint is that they are not open on Sundays, but just like Chick-fil-a, it then makes me want to get it as soon as I get the chance during the week!

    (5)
  • K P.

Do not be fooled by the small appearance when you walk in, they have on going space in the back. You get a very good sandwich and a lot of sandwich for a competitive price. They also have numerous sides - you can find whatever you are in the mood for and probably things you never knew you wanted. It has become a regular stop.

Returned many times, they don't carry tongue any more due to lack of customer enjoying this... Disappointed but still love the place... Great bread and tasty fillings. Absolutely the best sandwich shop in this area! Their quality bread and meats are so tasty. Even My picky 9 years old gave them a thumbs up and tried to finish his huge sandwich... We had a hot tuna sandwich and the Tongue/pastrami/ corned beef sub with Swiss cheese! Serious. Goooood....

Just left this place, we eat here once a week. Every thing on the menu is good. Food is always fresh, good customer service, great value for your money. Must go to.

  • Jay S.

This is definitely one place to hit up if you're anywhere near the area. There's a huge plethora of subs to choose from and they all looked delicious. Many are bursting at the seams with deli meats, cooked and crispified to make every bite sensational. They also serve up some great desserts after your sub (if you manage to finish your sub that is, because they are freaking huge).

    (5)
  • Dana M.

Great subs and bread. Next time me and my better half will split a sub. We were starving and could barely get through half a sub each. I got the Italian Combo. It had an insane amount of fresh meat- really good. My SO had the Sammy the Butcher sub and he loved it. We will be back.

    (5)
  • Jenifer S.

Fantastic is an understatement!!! I had the Italian Combo an we also ordered the Casteliano.. Wow is all I can say.. Go starving.. Cause i still had to take half my sub... Great service too... Will be back for sure

The owner is from New York and has delis up there. He moved to this area and decided to open one up here. It's a great place to eat but quaint in the front ordering area. A lot of people don't realize that there is plenty of seating hidden away in the back. Walk passed the soda machine, through the hall, and there are two rooms. One with a flat screen and a faux fireplace. It's quiet and comfortable back there. Access to outside seating is reached from there as well. Maybe I shouldn't have given up this secret.

This one of my favorite deli. Although I'm from DC, I've been to many deli in NYC and E.O. Jersey (Coopers)and trust me, this place ranks right there with them. You won't be disappointed. Great sandwiches, fast service, great atmosphere.

  • Karen S.

The subs... ! I'm in love! You walk in, it's a small area to order and sit. But go down the hallway further and there's seating in the back, enough to accommodate up to 80 people! And they have hookah!! So tonight, me and my girl go to grab a bite to eat, & hit the hookah.. Ok so it's a little confusing with the hookah because there's no big advertisement for it. We had to ask about pricing, types of tobacco and where to smoke..which felt weird because it seemed we were trying to make a illegal transaction or something. Almost like it was undercover. We ordered, sat, they brought the food,& then they gave us the HOOKAH!!! It's a large bong with two hoses to smoke from. It was kinda cool! We smoked right at our table! It doesn't smell like smoke, ours was blueberry. Smells almost like incense. But go for the food, not the bong hits! Lol! They serve Italian food, subs, pastas, salads, burgers, desserts & it's a deli as well! And there's breakfast! The staff was accommodating, friendly and very helpful. But they close @ 8pm.. I will be back!

I've been there twice. I've driven nearly 30 miles out of my way just for this restaurant, that's how delicious their eats are. I love the vintage cab sitting in their parking lot but when you enter don't be surprised if the place has standing room only. Each time I've come it's been packed (and for good reason). They have all kinds of interesting themed subs such as the Italian Combo with sopresata, capicola, prosciuttini, provolone, roasted red pepper, lettuce, tomato= 5/5 Goodfella which is a chicken cutlet, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, roasted red pepper, lettuce, tomato and balsamic vinegar= 4/5 Brooklyn Bridge is a steak & cheese (American), lettuce, tomato, mayo with Sautéed onions & peppers= 5/5 And their massive cheeseburgers and fries= 5/5. Every sandwich can be made as a sub, a wrap, or as Crazy Johnny. The subs are plenty for two to share or one for a leftover meal later (this is what I do). I haven't been displeased with anything I've had here. Meats are always fresh and plentiful, subs are full and veggies are generous, I believe you can even order online now or try their new hookah bar while you wait. I love everything about this place. There's also an actual sit down restaurant portion to this place that I haven't even tried yet!

Great little deli that you kind of have to know where you are going to see. It is easy to get to, but in a weird area. The options are amazing. My husnabd and I split the Archie Bunker. Loved the fresh bread and delicious meat and cheese. Smal dining room, but great for a lunch.

Quick, fast, and delicious!! I went during the morning hours and ordered a turkey sub (Frank Sinatra) and a breakfast platter. They move very fast and the food was ultimately the best part of it all. Ample parking and seating inside as well. Don't forget to ring the bell when you leave :)

Holy delicious everything! I bookmarked this the last time I was in town but never made it. I wish I had. The menu... insane. The size of those sandwiches... insane. Not to mention, the service is excellent. I tried the Brooklyn Bridge, which is their version of a steak and cheese hoagie. That thing was HUGE. The bread was soft and delicious and there was enough meat on it for two sandwiches. I definitely did NOT need the "big" version for a couple more dollars. Did. Not. Need. I didn't even make it halfway through. My mother ordered the NY Reuben. It looked amazing. I didn't try it, but I guess it was good if she almost ate the entire thing. The meat was stacked on that one, too. She originally ordered the shrimp basket, but they were out. Then she ordered the wings. Once she paid, they said they had no wings, so they didn't charge the extra fee for the Reuben. They also threw in a free slice of Oreo Mousse Pie just because they're awesome. They're alright with me! I can't wait to go back and try some other things.

I've been coming here periodically for lunch from work. This place is amazing! The sandwich quality here is among the best I've ever had. The Central Park is a delightfully greasy warm chicken sub that has a strong amount of savory flavor. The John Gotti is a tremendous mix of blackened turkey, pepper jack, banana peppers, and honey mustard. A deadly combination! Whatever you do, stop in at the place with the yellow taxicab outside! By far the best Sub with amazing veggies EVER. The service was great and they were quick to prepare our food. I ordered a Yankee Stadium. This sub had Fried Eggplant , Red and green peppers , sautéed onions and mushrooms with a little kick of chili aioli. I will be back, just a heads up order the sandwich portion, anything else would be a waste. The portion size is bonkers!!!

Had the New York Pastrami...so good! Best sandwich I've had in many years! Italian sub was good also. Daughter ordered a burger and fries...wasn't good. Highly recommend this place when you stick to their subs/sandwiches. Very comfortable feeling when you walk in. We will definetly make a special trip to go back for sure!

I search high and low for good places to grab lunch while working. It is not often that I'm in Brandywine but this may now be my go to place. This deli is incredible. Without the help of Yelp, I probably would have just passed by this place, and oh what a mistake that would have been. The foundation of any good sandwich (sub) is the roll. And this place has fantastic rolls. Firm, hard crust. Hold up to oil and vinegar. So far I have only had the Italian combo with sopressata, capicola, prosciuttini, provolone, roasted red pepper, lettuce, tomato, and onion. My mouth just instantly watered thinking about this. The ingredients are fresh. The portions are huge. The price would be a tad high except you could easily feed two with one of these or, as I do, save half for later. So if you are anywhere near rt 5, this place is definitely worth the trip.

Stumbled upon this place and I'm glad I did. Sandwiches are good and there is a hookah bar in the back.

This place is a little diamond in the rough. It is small and inconspicuous at an intersection that I have driving by for years and I never knew it existed. 1) The sandwiches are awesome (the Goodfella is a delicious gut bomb) 2) The selection is great 3) It wasn't crowded 4) Reasonably priced 5) Portions are big 6) Very clean inside (almost boutique-like) 7) Did I mention the sandwiches are tasty I hesitated recommending it for fear of it getting crowded. It is strange that it is right at this massively crowded intersection and most people don't even know it exists.

Simply the Best Deli in the area!! You will be hooked!!! The service is great. Every sandwich is a creation within itself. They also offer a great grilled salad for a healthy option. The bread is freshly baked every day. After eating here you'll be upset that you ever ate a sub from somewhere else!

Rarely do I hand out this kind of statement... I honestly only hold it for food that I am absolutely sure of, but this was the best sub I have ever had. The bread really makes the whole sub. I ordered the honeymooners, and I was not disappointed. It was delicious. There isn't much else to say. I've passed by this place literally all of my life, and I've never noticed it. Don't think I can have a sandwich anywhere else now. Only downside is, for a sub with chips and a drink, it came out to about 12 dollars. Little bit pricey, but it was worth it for my first time.

Wow what a selection. Food and service were great. I would recommend the smaller of the subs. Great experience.

I'm so blessed to have this sub shop in my back yard! The sub rolls melt in your mouth, the food is always made fresh, they have more deli meats and cheeses than any local grocery, and best of all..... I feel like a valued customer every time I visit!

I had this place bookmarked and on a whim I ventured out to try the cheesesteak. I did not read reviews beforehand I just knew that this restaurant got good ratings. Upon perusing the other ratings I'd have to concur that they do give you generous portions in your sandwich. The cheesesteak is quite good "quite" good just a lil bit salty felt like my feet were swelling up while eating that mug. But I would go again and check out some of the other items like the wings or tenders.... they have a pretty expansive menu with not just sandwiches so be on the look out for my update. 3.5 stars.Team Bob signing off

After quite a few people told me I needed to check this place out, I finally made it on a Thursday evening. It wasn't crowded and there were only 2 orders ahead of mine. Very clean place and one of the employees was even cleaning the light fixtures. Impressive b/c I can't tell you how many place I've been to that had layers of dust collecting on their hanging lamps. I order the Empire State without the spinach and I added grilled onions. It was a HUGE sub! Great deal. Very good and tasted very Italian due to herbs and pesto mayo. I had a side of fries that was a mix of crinkles and steak cut--nothing special and needed salt. I will definitely be going back. Can't wait to try more sandwiches.

This place is the Bomb! I'm straight out of Northern Jersey and NY where a good robust sandwich is expected, but since relocating to the DC. Metro area a good sandwich I never found even when the sign said NY style sandwiches, until I walked in this place, and rolled out. Please go get happy and visit this thumbs up place.

The food was fresh and tasted delicious. Ill never eat at a Subway again. All of the meats were Boars Head and the portions were a great value for the money. In fact I think I'm going to have dinner there tonight! Very friendly service as well and a great selection of drinks. All in all a great experience.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
