Diabetics at TGI Friday
If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.
Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:
Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

About TGI Friday
TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The restaurant serves alcoholic beverages primarily. However, they are also known for their low-carbohydrate and low-fat menu items to promote a healthy lifestyle. TGI Friday also offers gluten-free items on its menu for those with gluten intolerance.
Besides the cool name, TGI Friday also has an interesting background story of its origin. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.

The pregnant bartender is the absolute worst!!! I get being pregnant and cranky, but she should save that mess for home not work. In addition to the constant complaining about "needing to take maternity leave ASAP" she walked away while I was giving my order, I'm talking mid sentence forgot what I was saying when she came back!! So unprofessional! No greeting when we sat at the bar, just sat menus down and walked away and didn't address us until about 10 mins later when we called her over to place our orders, No drinks, no offer for appetizers. It was like we were invisible.

So I'm giving this review three stars ONLY because of the To-Go Servee Joshua (I believe that's his name). I went to the to-go area and saw a gathering of the restaurant employees all chatting about different things. I figured if someone saw me standing there they would stop the conversation and assist. This did not happen. A young lady with blue locs asked Josh if he was doing to-go and he got up to answer a question over the phone. He proceeded to take 3 more calls and immediately walked back to his co-workers after finishing the 3rd call. I was upset by this point so I started looking around for anyone to assist me. One of his co-workers mentioned I was waiting and he came up to greet me. I expressed my dissatisfaction for waiting but he remained calm and we ended up making light of the situation. He brought out my food and I believe it was MUCH more than I was supposed to receive. I appreciate this young man for remaining calm and not throwing an attitude at me because I expressed my dissatisfaction. And he did what he could to rectify my wait time. I think management should keep in mind how it looks as a waiting patron with 5-6 employees standing around conversing with each other. Josh is on the right track!

Server was good, and food was better! I ordered a peach mango lemonade, and the jack Daniel platter which had 1/2 rack ribs/ fried shrimp/ and chicken tenders....it was worth the $$$ and I ate everything. The server we had was attentive and we had a party of five. She had refills ready too! Food came in a reasonable time it was pretty steady. I would definitely go back

This is the worse Fridays I've experienced. I should have known when I sat down and the lady next to me had to talk to the manager about her food. I ordered a turkey burger with bacon. They have me one piece broken in half. I asked for more since I am paying for it. They sent it cold bacon. It still had harden grease on it. Drinks are horrible too. Just all around bad. 0 stars.

The only reason this place is getting 2 stars from me is because of our waitress Daniel. Other than that just like every other Friday's they didn't have something, this time no Top Shelf liquor at all! How do you have a franchise restaurant with out that? Daniel made our dinner pleasant tho.

Stopped here because I was starving and it was close to the hotel. Exterior: this location is located in a shared parking lot with a couple of restaurants and a movie theater just behind. The entrance is not off the primary road, so you might have to use GPS to find it. The exterior grounds were clean and presentable. Interior: the interior was overall clean. As I was waiting to be seated, I noticed a number of tables that had not been bussed yet. The main seating area appears to be on the right side of the restaurant, with a bar area to the left of the main entrance. I saw additional seating further to the right, past the bar area. Staff: this is the reason for so few stars. My waiter was perfect. Professional, attentive, polite, and personable are all words to describe him. The rest of the staff definitely were less so. The waitress stand was unoccupied when I went in and continued to remain unoccupied during my entire visit. I observed numerous couples/groups come in and stand for up to 5 minutes waiting to be addressed. Staff would simply walk past them on the way to or from their tables. One waitress did take care of a couple and walked to the back to yell that they needed help out front. However, no one took up the challenge of coming up front. The couple she seated waited roughly 10 minutes before anyone came to their table. I was in a position to hear there was not an assigned staff member for that area and the couple shouldn't have been seated there. I observed many of the tables around me being ignored or not getting a staff member to come but every once in a great while (after their glasses were completely empty). I couldn't identify whom the manager was (or if there was one), but having a manager visible and directing the activity would have been beneficial. Food: I ordered the Jack Daniels ribeye, mac & cheese, and tomato mozzarella salad. The ribeye was cold when I received it, but the mac & cheese was perfect. The salad was also just the way I like it. I was starved, so I didn't care if the ribeye was cold...it was cooked perfectly at least. Overall, if you find yourself starved and want immediate assistance, this is not the place to dine. There are many other restaurants extremely close to this location.

Never...Again... went w/a friend for saturday late lunch/early dinner. now, OK, maybe we're a pair of middle-aged women (i.e. not the clientele they cater to), but it took almost 20min for our server to come take our orders. he was very nice, but he also seemed to be the only staffer who was actually *working*. our food took forever to get to us. salmon was overcooked & just nasty. my steak - ordered mid-rare, was seriously overcooked AND cold. appetizers & sides? uck. again, maybe we were just too old. but the music was incredibly loud. i think TGIF's, at least the Bowie store, just wants to be a rowdy bar for the younger drinking crowd. so not impressed

We arrived around 6:30 PM on a Wednrsday nite. Restaurant had a light crowd, was quiet. Our server was T'Roya. She was quick to our table once seated, but then we waited a while until she came back for our order. We ordered the grilled 10 oz top sirloin steak and ribs and a Jack Daniels 10 oz ribeye steak with crispy shrimp. The menu said the ribeye was "generously marbled" to be tender, but it was actually a little too fatty. It was as promised, so didn't complain. The fries w/ the top sirloin were soggy. Sides in general less generous than we expected. Glad we had a BOGO to compensate for generally slow but friendly service and so so exciting food in a less than busy environment. Don't expect to return to this location since we have better satisfaction at other TGIFs.
(2)Ari H.
horrible place. i will never go here again. the staff isn't that welcoming. I was seated and not attended to for 15 mins..after placing my order..the waitress brought my main course and forgot my appetizer. Prior to ordering, i told the waitress that i have a coupon...i was told it is okay and can be used when she gives me the check. Once i gave her the coupon towards the end..she comes back to tell me that the manager said only TGIF "franchise" will accept this coupon and that they are "CORPORATE". It was the most horrible experience ever. they do not live up to their word! will not recommend this place to anyone else ever again. i finally ended up giving the waitress a "free appetizer or dessert" coupon. she then tells me, "oh this can work..i think". not a place go to if you want to be served on time!!!
(1)Jillian S.
Horrible service this place needs better customer service. It took the waitress 20 minutes just to bring sliced lemons. Note to the waitress: don't use the excuse of I have another party cause you wouldn't like the excuse of "oh I'm not going to tip you". If I could I wouldn't even rate this place with no star!
(1)Peaches P.
I didn't care for this TGIFRIDAYS location at all! I went with a friend on a Saturday night around 11pm to meet other friends. Cons: *There was not a host/hostess upon entering. We seated ourselves after trying to figure out the seating and which tables were clear and cleaned. *The layout is horrible. There are single restrooms on both sides of the venue but this is clearly not enough for a restaurant of their size. And it is very inconvenient if you are sitting on one side of the restaurant and then have to walk all the way to the other side because one is currently occupied. *The music was horrible. No variety whatsoever and my party had no idea what they were playing. *The food was gross. I guess with it being that late at night they feel like they won't make much of an effort. Food tasted like it was simply re-warmed in a microwave oven. NAS and T! *We saw a group of teenagers that had just left fighting on the side of the restaurant...no one from management cared enough to stop it or call law enforcement. *At closing time (2am) it felt like a nightclub with management turing on the lights, shutting off the wack music and pretty much kicking everyone out without even making sure all tabs, complaints, questions & issues were answered or addressed. Just rude and ridiculous. PROS: *Waiter was ok. I don't even stay close to this TGIFRIDAYS (Thank God) and definitely like the Waldorf location much better. So visit at your own risk. I've warned you.

Not too bad a place to eat on a Wednesday night. It didn't start off too great, but it at least ended on a high note. The hostess wasn't very friendly, dressed sloppy and had a very "I just DGAF" attitude. The table she sat us at was disgusting. Visibly covered in some sort of liquid and when I tried to wipe it off, nasty, yellow, sticky stuff. Our waitress moved us. Our waitress was very friendly and exceptionally attentive. Though she did try to sell us on desserts like 2 minutes after being served dinner. We ordered the Thai Tacos which were pretty good. Extremely tiny and there were only 3 on the plate which was ridiculous. I had the baby back ribs with sweet potato fries and mashed potatoes, and I was in heaven. The ribs just fell apart and had a fantastic amount of sauce and the fries were crispy and delicious as was the mashed potatoes. My boyfriend ordered the 10 oz. sirloin and ribs with sweet potato fries, he loved his food. He also had the peach crush drink thing. Jack with peaches. He loved it very much too, a nice change to his normal jack on the rocks. My biggest complaint with this place is that they had the temperature set to arctic chills. And did nothing to stop the families that had a bajillion kids from letting their kids run around screaming their faces off.
(4)Matt S.
UPDATE:******* Well, the thuggery is alive and well at this TGIFridays... All you here in this place is "Yo, yo, yo... What up son?"(Always said by white guys with fitted baseball caps on and a shirt that is 3 sizes too big for them).. Why did I even agree to meet a friend of mine there, anyway? What a shame this place is..
(1)Ky T.
Worstttttt!!! Took 20 mins to get a seat. 30min to get someone to even ask for our drinks. Never came back with our drinks. Manager finally came and offered a FREE APPETIZER. After that food finally came. And WE LEFT. I will not be returning to this location.
(1)Ramon A.
Food was fine but when a friend and I checked our bank statement (seperate checks) we saw that the waitress, Ebony, added an addtional $14 to her tip after we left. We drove back the next day and told the manager and he said he just fired another waitress for the same thing. The manager fixed the problem but never gave us any coupons or anything to compensate for our trouble. If you go here do not pay with a card! The saddest part is that we're in the army and were in uniform at the time.
(1)Tariq P.
Terrible service! The table they seated us at was dirty and we had to ask another server to please it for us! My server didn't made several mistakes with myself and my dates food orders. She charge me more than what I paid for! I had a coupon for a free dessert or app and she ended up use it on my pick 3 app which I clearly told her I didn't want to use it on that I wanted to use it for a free dessert! I like Fridays but my experience there was highly disappointing! I will not be referring friends to go to that one in Bowie!
(1)Mo A.
Everything about my original review still stands. This place is super loud and the clientele tends to be on the rowdier side, even with a cop being stationed in the restaurant. Service is ridiculously slow and our waitress went incognito on several occasions. All that being said, I can bump this place up a star for their spinach dip and their new salted caramel cake. The spinach dip is old faithful at Fridays. Regardless of how bad the service is as well as the entrees, this appetizer is consistently good. It features spinach, artichoke hearts, bell peppers and sauteed onions blended with Parmigiano and Romano cheeses, then topped with diced tomatoes. Tostada chips are your dipping/scooping vehicles. So creamy with a great cheesy flavor that is balanced without being overwhelming. The dish comes together perfectly and is great for sharing. The salted caramel cake is fantastic. It is vanilla cake layered with vanilla bean pudding and caramel crunch, then drizzled with a salted caramel glaze. The sweet/salty flavors complement each other well and offer a fun contrast. The caramel crunch offers a nice texture change up. The dessert was a little heavy on the caramel, which is a little assertive but just the way I like it. Nice portion size that is very rich and filling. My sweet tooth called and congratulated me on a great choice! If you can tolerate loud and obnoxious patrons, aloof servers, long waits for your orders and generally questionable menu options, these two choices may leave you mildly surprised.
(2)Heather L.
Don't waste your time on this place. Throughout our visit we had three different waitresses, the first one took our drink order, but didn't return again. The next person brought our drinks and didn't return again. The third waitress who never introduced herself asked what appetizer we wanted, assuming we wanted one, she was not friendly the entire evening. Food was delivered after a very long wait, partially incorrect. No refills on water, didn't see much of our waitress after the food was delivered. Very poor service and the place wasn't busy which should have been our first clue. We will not be returning to this location again.
(1)Erica J.
The service started out OK and went downhill from there. Sometimes I don't know why I continue to patronize this location.
(2)Jack K.
Can't review the food...restaurant was so loud and the service so bad, we never even ordered a meal. We were seated next to a television with the volume turned all the way up. It was so loud we couldn't hear each other, and we asked to be moved. The hostess did move us (after giving us some attitude) and then we sat. After fifteen minutes of no contact of any kind from the wait staff, we left.
(1)Joe A.
Visiting for the night -- very slow service, their frozen food is better than what they served tonight.
(1)Chris W.
We came in for a quick lunch and found out they were short of servers and had the Host waiting tables. He tried his best, but wasn't trained on the menu or order system so our food was warm and our bill had to be changed. When we tried to get the one server that was working to help get us our bill, she coped an attitude. Understand they are short staffed but making sure customers are happy is the key.
(2)Christina R.
My family and I went to TGI Fridays for lunch. There were flies everywhere the service was horrible, greasy floor, just overall disgusting! We were in a bit of a rush and to make matters worse we put our order in when we arrived. All of our food arrived except for my mothers. We told the waitess and she forgot to out in her order and it wasnt even busy that day. So my mom had to wait another 30 minutes for her food and the waitress didnt even suggest to have her meal comped. I had to ask her. The poor people next to us got their drinks spilled on them by the same waitress. What a horrible restraunt. never again. Also i hear someone was killed there recently over a fight. Stay away!
(1)Ilissa M.
Food is not that exciting, but service is excellent especially if Phillip, the head waiter, is the one taking care of you. I would only come back because of the service. The food was nothing a special not bad just meh!
(3)Miyuki L.
Horrible food and served lukewarm.... Don't let the commercials fool you, they got worse! It was the most awful and downright nasty food experience I have had in ages. The server advised me two of three things I ordered were no go good to order which I could take as honesty but they did nothing well in the end. I attempted to order the Korean tacos and then a shrimp meal but in the end based on the server went with a cheeseburger... (can't go wrong with that --WRONG!) Okay the chili cheese queso dip was ok but warm at best --- the chips they served with were crystalized with salt. The potstickers were warm as well -- temperature issues!! They might have been decent had they not been sitting or eek warmed up properly!!! Okay my daughter got the chicken fingers and barely ate the fries and in a way I am thankful who knows what I was exposing her too if the chicken fingers were lukewarm as well. Cheeseburger was charcoaled and lukewarm with a hint of fishiness... wth! The brownie sundae was mush... While I may give the chain a chance... I will not be giving this location a second chance.. cut my losses.
(1)Jasmin H.
TGI Friday's holds a special place in my heart. Many times when my ex-bf/friend and I would go on dates we would go to DuClaw for the drinks and then Friday's for food since their kitchen stays open later and plenty of NFL Sundays were spent at the bar. They have pretty good food deals from time to time and the music is loud but it didn't really bother us, we were amused. I absolutely love love LOVE the Ultimate Mojito, its the only drink I usually get here. Other than that the drink specials aren't really good, so thats the one downside. I say if your looking for a little fun in good old Bowie, stop thru. I will say that although it stays crowded we've never had to wait more than 20 mins tops for a seat. Even though there are cops that stand guard I've never had an issue or felt unsafe here. GET THE CHICKEN COBB SALAD! Sorry that thing is perfect every time I get it, its quite amazing.
(3)Amber M.
The waitress kept coming back every 5-7 minutes. It was very annoying. The bartender who was on that night was horrible. Drinks had seeds in them (some are supposed to, but these weren't). The pretzels were way too greasy. Didn't even order an entree. I will not be going back.
(2)Cyndi S.
The food is good but the atmosphere makes me feel like a gang war will break out at any time....with all the police etc; hanging out in the front working. This is close to a movie theater and many young people here late at night. The good thing is that they are open late but you may be too scared to eat here.
(3)Mike H.
I was a little skeptical about this place due to this spot making the evening news back in Aug of 2012 (google it!), but I was really hungry...so thought I'd try my luck. Came here on a Thursday night to somewhat of a club-scene in terms of the music and crowd at the bar. Very lively, happenin' place. I preferred to sit in the dining room where it was quiet and calm... although doing so forfeited my right to 1/2 off appetizers (they only give 1/2 off apps after 10pm for patrons who sit at the bar). But I instantly liked my server when I saw her (Jirae Foster), and so decided to pay essentially double for my meal simply to be waited on by her. The service was excellent. She was very attentive, smiled often (bearing an amazing braces-laden grin), charming and good looking. She was quick with my order, kept my drinks a'coming often, and generally seemed happy to be working. When I was indecisive about my order, she even suggested that I try something - and if I didn't like it to return it for something I did like. I'm not the kind to return food at a sit down restaurant (unless the food is horrible), but did appreciate her making the offer. Jirae delivered the kind of service that is unfortunately not typical of an urban TGI Fridays... so seeing her smile and being served by her was totally refreshing. The manager was also very active and visible during my visit (and actually was the one who brought me my food); so seeing him greeting people and actually working made me feel like the joint had made some positive changes to better ensure order in the restaurant on busy nights since its late summer "incident". I'm a local and will be back again!!

Sat at our table for fifteen minutes without being approached. The restaurant wasn't that busy and the wait staff was talking to one another. I love Fridays but I will never return to this one. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had at a Fridays. If I could give it quarter of a star...it would be appropriate.

Yelp needs to allow no stars because this place would get it. We walk in as a group of 5 and I already had a feeling that whoever the server was would feel overwhelmed and I was right! The hostess seemed a little lost as to whose section to seat us she had to wait mother another hostess who was clearly annoyed to help her. The table we had was in clearly in the walkway of the servers, other patrons getting to table and the bathroom. I sat in that chair and constantly heard excuse me from and nothing but a hard get out the way bump on my chair. Our server "KJ" finally came to the table after us sitting for maybe 10 minutes at this point. He was not knowledgeable about the drink menu, and food menu he actually got stuck in thought when we inquired about the ribs. He wasn't attentive and his memory was no good we asked for water 3 times. His service was lack luster in my opinion and I work in the customer service field. The overall experience wasn't good.

I was on the verge of giving this a one star rating but I hate being a total Grinch. My wife and I stopped here after seeing a movie in the middle of the day and this place was almost literally right next to the movie theater. It was about 1:30 so the "lunch crowd" should have been thinning out but this place was pretty full with crying babies and kids of all kinds. Oh yeah, the adults were there, too. At first, our server was pretty attentive although my wife's fountain drink came out a lot faster than my "custom" strawberry lemonade. The food seemed forever to come out and I tried to pass that off as "cooking to order" especially since I ordered a burger. The food was OK (not great) but passable for Fridays and we were famished so it tasted just fine. The server came around a couple of times to ask if everything was OK (it was because our mouths were full) but at the end of our meal it was like we turned invisible. We waited and waited and waited to get the check (forget the "would you like dessert" part). I finally almost had to trip her to get her attention. We got the check, I gave her my credit card and we finally got out of there. It wouldn't have been so bad and I would have gone three stars if I didn't have to sit around a noisy restaurant (blaring music, screaming babies) waiting for a check. We had clearly finished our food. Ugh!

Service is ridiculous my appetizer came in way after my friends finished their entree. The service is terrible.

The service here is hit or miss. Some days the servers know what they're doing other days they don't have a clue.

We have had a horrible experiances at other local restaurants...... TGI Fridays changed our view on bowie restaurants. The food was amazing and despite being busy our service was wonderful

After reading some of the reviews I was a little skeptical about going here but my party and I had a great time. It's fridays not a 5 star joint the people there are awesome, the food was hot and fast and the drinks are fantastic if you want a fun place with a laid back fun atmosphere this is the place. The kitchen was open late and $3 Long Islands you can't beat it I totally recommend this place especially if you are looking for some late night food and drinks.

So i've been to Fridays a few time and the food is usually decent. Today I had the misfortune to order from the special they had in which you choose an entree and app for $12 or so. For my appetizer i chose the spinach flatbread which was fairly good. However the Chicken Bruschetta (sp?) And it tasted as unappetizing as it looks. Im taking it with me to give to my mother because i didnt feel like waiting another 10 min for the waiter to reappear.

This is the WORST Friday's you can ever go to. The food is average, bar isn't clean and the service is slow. I rarely ever come here. After hearing about the roaches. I'm not coming here again.

Horrible bar experience on a Friday night. Bartender spent more time complaining about being short on staff and service was extremely slow!!! I wanted to order food but changed my mind when I noticed how long a wait was for a refill!! Won't be going back!

My boyfriend and I go there on the weekends, usually On Fridays. It's definitely the Friday night date night place, other important things to know are: It's not Romantic. The music is always loud. The bar area is packed. If you get the after 7 you will wait 30 -40 min The dessert is great, I personally recommend the new pumpkin spice cup cakes =) The wait staff have a lot of tables to tend to and sometimes seem a tad bit over whelmed, but they are very helpful and patient especially because my boyfriend and I talk ALOT before we order and while we eat our appetizers. We have never had a bad experience and usually go to the movies after which is located right behind Fridays. The parking lot is large but fills up rather quickly.

Had a great time here on Friday. The drinks were pretty decently priced, very strong and came quickly. The food was good. I had the dragonfire salmon and it was amazing, perfectly cooked. I don't understand all the negative reviews. My date & I had a nice time, our waiter was very courteous and didn't even complain that we were there for nearly 2 hours. Overall, I had a great time and enjoyed the experience. I think people have to remember that this isn't a 5-star restaurant, it is a chain restaurant that cannot control who comes in to dine and drink. I will definitely be back for happy hour as I have heard great things about their HH specials.

Stopped here yesterday with 10 friends,he waitress seats us,then the manager comes by and explains that the kitchen is busy orders are going to take 30minutes. He then proceeds to say with an attitude "You have to options, stay or leave". Oh course we jumped up and left. What kind of customer service is that? We will contact TGIF corporate in the morning to file a formal complaint.

I only came here for drinks. My partner was in the mood to go shopping. So, I joined him. But you know what...shopping can really drain your energy...especially if it seems you cannot find one damn thing. So, to relax, my partner surprised me by taking me out for drinks at Friday's. It was exactly what we needed...to relax with some drinks. I had the cherry-something margarita. I didn't feel anything while drinking but I did have something of a buzz after I finished it. Then, I had the mint mojito. Pretty good! My partner had the electric lemonade. It was done just right. Anyways, I never even thought of having drinks at the bar in restaurants (like Applebee's, Chili's, Bennigan's, etc.). Now, I see why. Friday's has some really good deals on drinks. They have Happy Hour from 4 to 7pm and then from 10pm to closing (1:30am). They have the 4-3-2-1 specials. $4 for their 'ritas, mojitos, cosmos, and long island teas. $3 for their premium drafts. $2 for their domestic drafts. $1 off on wines. Friday's gets 4 stars because of 2 reasons: 1. My partner ordered potato skins. Now, I like to salt my food. The problem was that there were no salt shaker at the table. Hello! Where are the basic condiments?!?!? 2. Service was a little slow. One shouldn't have to finish a drink before being checked up if one wants a refill.

My experience at TGI in Bowie was unacceptable. Aisha, the waitress, served my brownie obsession and wings on plates that were extremely dirty. Finger prints were visible in what appeared to be dried up sauce from previous usage on both platters. I wiped of the edges of my dessert plate but when I saw the dirty plate for the wings and tostados nachos I cancelled the order and asked to speak to a manager. I explained that this was my first time a Bowie and that the plates were dirty. He responded by saying that his dishwasher was excellent and that it is normal to see finger prints on the edges of the plates. I feel that the TGI Fridays in Bowie should be held to the same standards as the one in Arrundel Mills. I was very dissatisfied with the service and at Bowie and the service provided by the waitress and the Manager on duty. I hope that in the future they will ensure that the dishes used to serve clients are clean.

So my wife and 2 kids stop here on the way from DC to Nap Town. Waiter is nice and animated. One kid gets the Mac and cheese which is very creamy-tastes okay. My other kid gets the cheese burger which looks microwaved but she's not complaining. I get the half rack ribs which actually have a good sauce but also seem like they were warmed up. My wife gets the chicken Parm on a hot skillet. The waitress brings it out sizzling and the oil sprays on her neck and burns her amd almost burns our kid. She calls the waitress over and tells her what happened and she says oh really...I have no control over how the food comes out. really! WTF! No real apology. She asks if we'd like the kitchen to make a new one. I'm flabbergasted. My wife is so upset she tells her to put it in a box to go and the waitress says she'll have them male a new one but they won't make it hot enough to melt the cheese because it will melt the to go box. Is anyone catching this ? Mind you the Parm chicken was horrible. Last time I'm going to TGIF. TGI Over!

It's Thursday night I decided to go to Friday's for spinach dip. They have none so I had to order something else since I was there for a meeting and was starving. A manager never came over to apologize on behave of the product not being in demand. I don't think I'll be back to this Friday's

Friday's in Bowie Town Center... I have been to many restaurants and even worked in food and beverage services my own self. This establishment is by far the worst experience I've seen with my own eyes. Management is absolutely horrible when it comes down to taking care of their guest. We ordered a blue motorcycle and it was very clear to everyone's eyes that it was watered down. We asked for a manager, and the MOD, Jerry was VERY unprofessional in approaching us about the issue. "Whether you drink it or not, it'll still be on your bill." I'm sorry that we advised you about your drink that was made very poorly. We bring money to your establishment and this is how you treat your guests?? Thank you Kadija for taking care of the issue after how far it escalated, but if Jerry can do that to one guest, I can only imagine how many more are exposed to this horrible attitude of his. Yes, one customers voice might not matter too much to your establishment, but I AS WELL AS FRIENDS AND FAMILY WILL NEVER return to this establishment EVER AGAIN. #fridays #bowietowncenter #horriblemanagement #terribleservice

My advice to Management -- fire the staff and start from scratch. I mean it, the whole lot of them. I've never even *heard* of service this bad. While I waited 30 minutes just for someone to say hi (AFTER being seated), the employees were literally eating plates of food in plain view of the customers! My fiance and I left in disgust and walked over to Longhorn. We, as residents, need to stop settling for poor service or establishments such as this one will continue to hire employees who dont take pride in their work and don't know the meaning of customer service. I gave them one star for somehow managing to stay in business this long in spite their staff. Stay away from this place.

First let me preface by saying I uae to work at the largest Olive Garden in the U.S. in San Diego, we were a well oiled machine with overall good management (we didn't always like them, but we as a team got the job done) Ok let's just jump into the bad & ugly first: 1. They do not take reservations for large parties 2. They seat extremely large parties before less than half of their party arrives 3. We needed an area for a party of 12, we were originally given 3 separate tables that were way too far apart 4. They kept talking about they just seated a party of 26...this was some freaking teenagers that was less our party of 12 (like WTF???) 5. Service was slow, even to get our children drinks, appetizers, or food so my son was screaming out the entire night until he had his food. (I'm actually still mad about this right now at 6:18am...I may call you alls Regional Manager about this) *Educational Tip: When a family comes in immediately ask what the parents would like for the child to eat & drink, parents can starve to death but absolutely get pissed if our child is hungry. We also barley get to eat so putting in the child's order first when appetizers would normally go in for the entire table allows the parents to feed the child first then enjoy their own meal when their food comes around.* 6. Under staffed on a Friday night...at T.G.I. Fridays??? This was the part that didn't make any sense & resulted in a domino effect on our entire evening. Management...it's the second day of spring, use your brains... 7. "We don't have any Kid's Menus (obviously no crayons as well)...I blame management for this is well because most of your staff doesn't even know the Kid's Menu by heart...I'm irritated again. The good: 1. The food was on point & the drinks were great (alcoholic & non-alcoholic) 2. The place was very clean 3. Eric & a pregnant female server were very friendly If the management at this location was better then they could be as good as the Fridays in District Heights or The Boulevard because the servers would be set up for success. There was a lot of money in our party & you could have easily gotten a tip of almost if not $40+ but you focused on a table that was supposed to be 26 teenagers & their party was smaller than ours...smh

Usually go here on the regular and never had any issues. Went today and after finishing my food saw a roach climb onto the bar. Smh. Never again

I've never been a big TGI Friday's person, but I was out voted on where to go and we ended up here. Our server was M.I.A for the first 10 minutes after we were seated. She finally came over and was very apologetic. It wasn't a busy night, but it just seemed that the service was a bit slow. I decided on the Jack Daniel's chicken (you can never go wrong when Jack is involved) so that was pretty good. For my 2 sides I had the mashed potatoes which weren't impressive and the tomato mozzarella salad which was just okay. I can see that they've changed their menu up a bit and the prices have gone up since the last time I've been here. The bathrooms were kept clean and neat and once our server became visible, she was rather attentive. The noise in the bar area was pretty loud and a little disturbing at times. It was just a mediocre experience. Can't say that I would return anytime soon, but it is an option for a quick bite.

So folks if u follow me it appears it has been a while since I ve partaken in the fine world of restaurant dining. Well you would be absolutely correct. You might ask what do I win? Well your prize is the truth... its 2012 and it's the great recession. This past Friday I was lucky to have a super nice friend take me out and although it was just TGI Friday's we picked the best night. The server was super polite. Even gave us a to-go cup for our refill. I ordered the three course $12.99 special. First course, I ordered the stupid wedge salad. Really a wedge of iceberg lettuce on my plate. Even a rabbit wants a carrot every now and then. The entree was delicious I had the salmon which was succulent and out of sight. My wonderful friend had the fried shrimp with only Fridays quality seasoned fries. Yum-o was their reply when I asked how they liked their meal. To top it all off the Oreo desert was presented so cute I felt guilty devouring every lil morsel. The manager on shift stopped by at the end of our dinner and of course I had to give compliments to the chef for a job well done although my jeans would say otherwise lol. I had to be honest and rag on the silly salad. All and all a great experience, but don't take my word for it. After the movies hop right over to TGI Friday's and you be the judge.

Food was good, sat at the bar area and did not get the best of service. All and all a good experience

This Location doesn't even deserve 1star rating. The tables were never wiped off before being re set. The waiters and waitress looked like they just woke up. The silverware was dirty. We had to wait about 9 mins for out server to come to the table. And he forgot out kids drinks. Absolutely disgusting.

I LOVE Fridays, especially the Bowie and Laurel ones. The bartenders are the BEST.
(5)Chardae J.
I enjoy it most of the time. It's a loud environment but the margarita and long island ice tea is usually a hit (depending on the bartender), and their apps are good. I also enjoy the cheesy chicken and cheese as well.

My friend just got hired for a new job. We came here to have dinner and it wasn't so pack the we have to wait for 15mins. So we just to the bar and hangout there to and get some orders. The service was slow but the food is just ok.

Was in the Bowie Friday's a few weeks ago on a Wednesday night. The host sat us at a dirty table - seemed oblivious of the grease and crumbs left by the previous guest. It took 15 minutes before the waiter came over to take our drink order and he noticed the condition of the table and apologized. The table was cleaned while we sat at it! It took another 15 minutes to come back with the drink order, so we just paid and left and went home where the service is the best! That will be our last trip to Friday's! I agree with other reviewers, the restaurant was so loud we could not hear each other and ended up yelling to speak with each other. Not an inviting atmosphere.

Came here with my friend Tiff and we ordered drinks, an appetizer and dinner. The server's name was Elizabeth and was very friendly! She had a smile on her face and was very kind when we kept taking forever to make up our minds on what to order. Server wise she was perfect! Drink wise...great! I had a blue hawaiian and Tiff had a fiery apple because they were $5 and she was drooling about it all day. Appetizer wise we ordered spinach and artichoke dip. Would've been great except the chips were stale. Ugh..such a disappointment. Problem is we were so hungry that we ate them anyway! For dinner I had a Cesar salad and sizzling chicken. The salad didn't have enough dressing, it was like a walk in the desert looking for water. Or Christopher Columbus looking for land! The lettuce was crisp though which was a plus. The chicken was overcooked and very dry. The cheese helped to not make the chicken taste so bad and the mashed potatoes were great! Then again this is a chain and they aren't always the best places to except great quality food. Thank goodness our server was great otherwise I would've gave this place 1 star. Inner fat kid says: Drink with a friend...because friends don't let friends eat stale chips alone!
