Place has always been quick with the orders. It is best to have the coupons, and I love the fact that it's clean when I go in.

Ok, I never go to Popeyes simply because it is expensive for no dang reason! However, It was a Friday night and that was the choice for dinner! I drive all the way over there with coupons in tow and order! I can't help noticing as I'm ordering that a 3 pc chicken strip meal was $8.99 as shown on their digital board at the front of the restaurant! In what world should it cost that much? But either way, I order with my coupon and get out of there! I get all the way home, (about 3 miles) to notice that they gave me some dang mashed potatoes when I ordered red beans and rice! How annoying! I am so pissed! I call and tell the manager that I am on my way all the way back and that I am pissed that they messed my order up! He was very nice and very friendly and tells me he will fix it and try to make it "right!" I said ok! Needless to say, when I got all the way back over there, he did just that! He was very nice and gave me plenty of extra for the mishap! This location is very nice inside and the staff were very friendly! They may need to slow down a little or something! But otherwise, not a bad spot! Just clip those coupons or check their website! Their prices are ridiculous!! The specials are your friends here!

How can you take a tried and true concept like Popeyes and screw it up? Poor management, poor customer service and cold food. I have been there a few times because it is close to my home, and quite frankly fried chicken is my comfort food. My day gets worse if I go here, so now I tend to avoid this place. My last visit was due to unexpected visitors and direction by my wife to go to Popeyes. *sigh* worse visit ever. The cashier barely mumbled a request for my order, while another worker was behind him chatting on her cell phone. Nobody seemed to notice the chicken racks were empty, so the cashier was "surprised" when he could not complete my order. He asked if he could substitute pieces, since no breasts were ready, all the while the manager was already substituting one wing for each breast...and I called him on it. The manager then told me in a huff that I would have to wait for a fresh batch. For 20 minutes. And then he got into a fight with my son because my son didn't like the way the manager was talking to me. Even with better customer service, I would give this place a two star rating. The biscuits were stale, the oil was off, and the sides had been reheating a bit too long. Future fried chicken comfort moments will take me to the Popeyes in Crofton, or maybe Freestyle.

I rarely come to fast food places, but today I had a hankering for fried chicken. Since a KFC doesn't exist in Bowie, this place served it's purposes.

I go to Popeyes about once a year, and then I start getting the itch and I asked myself why don't I go to Popeyes ever? As soon as I walk in I'm reminded there's always a long line a bunch of kids working there that don't know what they're doing and the stressed-out manager that doesn't know how to manage his people just plain bad
