The food at this Panera is on par with other locations but the bakery seems to me to be lacking a little. I see a clear distinction between the bakery items at the Bowie Town Center location and this one. Not sure why.

I love Panera! This specific location is conveniently located near my work, so I don't have much choice when it comes to which Panera I choose. Nonetheless, this Panera never ceases to impress me. For the most part, I have had especially good service (today I was treated incredibly nicely by Amy and Montell). Thank you for always being consistently speedy and kind!
I love Panera's. This location is right down the road from my job and you can usually find me here at least 2 days out of every week. In the fall, they had an Autumn Squash soup that's was divine, like a liquid lollipop. I came here everyday for that soup until they stopped carrying it because the season was over. My favorites are the hot Panini's, French onion soup and the green tea. I like that they have a "Panera VIP" card where I accumulate points & then receive coupons for $$ off a pick 2 or $1 off a pastries. Lunch time (between 12-2pm) is their busiest period, expect to wait at least 10-15 from standing in line to actually receiving your food. But when you do, the food is good. I haven't eaten anything from here that I haven't liked yet. Great customer service & food every time.

Nothing special about the location. Typical Panera experience. I like to do the rapid pick-up online so that I can skip the line save time. I haven't had a bad meal there. Haven't had a great meal either. The staff is friendly. Parking can be tricky with the Grace's crowd next door. It gets the job done.

Most Panera's are all the same. This one is a little lower on my scale just because when we entered it was somewhat of a mess. The tables were not clean and the kitchen area looked like a hurricane had been through there....one of the downsides of having an open kitchen. The one good thing about the location is that despite going at 8pm, they still had a significant number of bakery items including the pumpkin muffies that everyone treasures and multiple cookies and bagels. The staff was also friendly and very quick to get the food.

Panera Bread is such a cool place to stop in to get a hot panini, salad, soup, bagel, pastry or the best hot chocolate around. This is my neighborhood Panera and I love it! I like to come on off-peak times (not during lunch on a weekday and not too late on the weekend) otherwise, it can get pretty full or they've been known to run out of the more popular items. The food is always fresh and piping hot and all of the drinks are made to order. I have my staple items I always get, like the Frontega Chicken Panini or the Cream of Chicken Wild Rice soup, but I also like to try other items on the menu too. I've NEVER ordered something I didn't like. They recently remodeled this location and it's a bit more accessible and comfortable. For the most part the staff is usually really nice. I have experienced some that weren't so pleasant but I normally don't have a problem. Free Wi-Fi is offered, the long tables are perfect for large parties and the fireplace in the wall adds a little bit of warmth during those cold months. I really wish they had a drive-thru like I've seen at a few of the Panera's in Virginia, because the parking can be a bit much since Grace's is right next door. Oh well, just gives me an opportunity to get a brief workout in with the walk to and from. I've been a fan since the Panera franchise came to Maryland and this location gets the stamp of approval from yours truly!

The good news is that the food is always good and the staff friendly, if not always the most on top of things. The bad news is that I don't know if they've crippled their Wi-Fi or what's going on, but I was there today to do some online course work and have a snack and the connection was so poor I had to give up and leave. It wouldn't even connect to my school's website and even a basic Google search took three tries and almost two minutes to return results. And I specifically went during off-peak, around 3:00 pm. There were only four other people with tablets or laptops; I asked one about her connection and she told me that she wasn't online, so load should not have been a problem. I've been to this Panera before and it has always had the slowest Wi-Fi of any I've been to but, today at least, it was totally worthless.

This is one my favorite Panera locations. I can grab my food and jump right on the beltway or 50 and be on my way. I always get the same thing everytime, greek salad with chicken and bread. The service is always quick though it can get crowded but I've never had a bad experience. Love Panera!

Historically I haven't been the biggest fan of Panera. I've been to various locations over the years though because for some reason many of my friends find it very appealing. Until recently, my favorite item on the menu has been the soft serve/frozen lemonade that's only available during the summer. In the past I've tried many of their salads and sandwiches but haven't been blown away. But to be fair, I'm not the biggest sandwich lover. At any rate, I stopped in this location and ordered the classic salad with the brocoli cheese soup. It was fantastic. Broccoli cheese soup is one of my favorites too so I know a good bowl of it when I taste it. The salad was fresh and the balsamic vignette dressing was just right. Not to sweet nor too tangy. The location was clean and quiet. I found a table with no problems and stayed for nearly an hour. I used my computer but had my own wifi device so I can't speak for Panera's free wifi.

Wanted to buy some morning treats for work, but when I arrived 10 min early; I was told I have to wait 10 min before being served. The store opens 6:00 am....and arrived 5:50...come on now that is not professional...they should just leave the door closed until 6:00a.m. I just left and decided to go to Eienstein Bagels...where the service is great every time!!!!!! FYI..... The morning crew staff are wearing street clothes while making bread...no apron...hair net... Or gloves!!!!!! You will not gain my service anymore!!!!!

It does get very crowded at lunchtime. If you sit near the window side on the same side as the counter, you can be subject to a burned smell and smoke which is unpleasant and they say they can't do anything about it. I think the Bowie Town Center location is nicer and worth a little extra drive to get to. Otherwise, it is a typical Panera.

This was my friends first time eating at a Panera Bread. He told the cashier that I am deploying in a week and she said that she would pray for me. I thought it was so thoughtful of her to say that. I wish they had crackers to go with the soup but the friendly staff and great food make up for it!

I love Panera Bread. I have pretty good timing with this particular outlet. I seem to arrive immediately prior to the huge swath of people who want food. I was the only person in line when I arrived. :-) I usually get the turkey artichoke and the chicken noodle soup as my "you pick two" but this time, I decided to try something different. The macaroni and cheese. The cashier was super nice enough to let me get a small chicken noodle soup and a small macaroni and cheese as my "you pick two" and I got a potato chips to spare. Of course I sat down and tried to do a little work on the ol' computer with the free Panera wi-fi. As I sat there, the line grew and grew until it was almost out the door. Good job Panera! Sling those soups and sandwiches. As long as I am already sitting down with my food, the line can get as long as it wants to. When it was all said and done, I left a full, fat, happy, satisfied customer. I'm a fan of Panera Bread.

I continue to give this place a 3 star rating based mostly on the distracted staff. Management tries hard and they're the friendly and competent ones but the people at the cash register are distracted and seem more interested in each other than the customer right in front of them. One example: I wanted a cookie with the meal I ordered and it wasn't right up front at the cash register. The guy taking my order said he would get it for me from the bakery section (big plus) but then when he was done taking my money he started to make himself a cup of coffee. He had completely forgotten about the cookie ! (a big minus) I know I should be kinder since i know these folks don't make much money and turnover is high but it is a customer service environment and it could be better.

Tonight is a cold and blustery night in the DMV so what would hit the spot right now but some soup so I stopped into Panera Bread for some Sonoma chicken stew & a salad (my favorite) I walked into Panera only to be greeted by Kayla with a scowl on her face & when I greeted her she gave me a half of smirk and a mumble of a greeting. When asked about new menu items, the Mediterranean salmon salad or the salmon sandwich I was told I haven't had it & I only stick to what I like...in what restaurant universe do they not do tastings? I know for a fact that Panera does tastings because I have been in the restaurant when it was done. If this is the way Panera's service is going, I will not be back at this location.

First off, this Panera Bread is NOT in Bowie, Maryland. The panera bread website lists an incorrect city and zip code. This location is Lanham, Maryland 20706. ~~@~~ I've been to several Paneras, in several states. They all are good and very consistent. The coffee is always good, and not overpriced. I enjoy the soups and my favorite sandwich is the Chicken Caesar sandwich on multi-grain bread. The in house potato chips are very good and not greasy. This location on MLK Hwy/MD-704 used to have slow service especially in the mornings even when it wasn't crowded. But that issue was corrected a few months ago and now it operates with quick service all the time, which is especially important at lunch time because all Paneras get wicked crowded for lunch. Despite the daunting lunchtime line, the chain has its act together because they get you through lightening fast. This site is always clean. A lot of meetings seem to take place here. More adult and business clientele than teens or students. And it's true you'll often see a police 'convention'.

I came to this Panera Bread because I needed a quite place to talk with a friend, it was a Saturday mid afternoon so it was pleasantly quite. Accessing the WiFi was easy and plugging outlets were available in a few spots. I didn't want to order tea because I was afraid it wouldn't be as good as mine, I was pleasantly surprised when I did (good quality) they had an easy service for honey and individual packaged stirrers (unlike other places). I also order the chicken noodle soup and the small size was actually larger than I expected and it was very good, you could actually see and taste the chunks of chicken. I would recommend and come back to this place, found it very easy, found parking, WiFi, plenty of tables and booths which make for a more private conversation. Staff was friendly. Although I sat on some high chairs and high table which appeared very wobbly, but worked for a good two hours without a problem.

As the reigning Duchess of this location, my review is long overdue. I frequent this Panera because it's close to my office and they never run out of the stuff I like. Panera is my version of fast food. I gained a special appreciation when I was in grad school and I had to devote long hours to studying, accessing my virtual classroom (free Wi-Fi), and meeting with my team. There were too many distractions at home, so coffeehouses became my hangout. Small cafés tend to have limited healthy food offerings (non-pastry) which wasn't conducive to my long days, concentration, or waistline. Although the brand still focuses on fresh baked goods and coffee drinks, Panera has many seasonal offerings that are delicious and good for you. I like the steel cut oatmeal or four-cheese soufflé for breakfast. Most days, I get the You Pick 2 for lunch. On those brisk days, I'll order a cup of autumn squash, black bean, or creamy tomato soup then pair it with the power chicken hummus bowl or Fuji apple chicken salad. It's important to note, they only serve hormone/antibiotic free meat. I like the BBQ chicken & Southwestern chicken flatbread sandwiches too, but they frequently look thrown together or missing ingredients. I discover after I've returned to my office. The store managers are approachable & willing to address my issue, but I don't always have time for a redo. +Panera Bread supports community events and fights against hunger through their Panera Cares foundation. Support the fight!
