It's like a cup cake for grown ups...in a good way. I like these cupcakes because they are not overly sweet like a lot of others I've tried. The focus is on natural flavors NOT straight up sugar. I've tried the apple pie cupcake, which was made with real apple flavoring in the middle and on top. And, as a carrot cake connoisseur, I also tried that one. Both were very moist and tasty. I subtracted one star because my husband, who is literally addicted to sugar, does not like these cupcakes so I'm assuming these are not for everyone. All I know I'm looking for an excuse to have a party and order a few dozen of these babies!

Dangerously good cupcakes! I've tried most of them and I haven't found one I didn't like yet, however, "oreo madness" is among my favorites. Rather than just getting a cake for a party I hosted, I ordered 3 dozen Heaven Sent cupcakes and they were a hit. I ordered a variety so everyone was able to get the flavor they wanted and I heard nothing but compliments from my guests. The cupcakes are larger and definitely much more delicious than a lot of others I've purchased in the past. I will absolutely buy from them again. Great cupcakes, great staff.

Great service and delicious cupcakes. The strawberry shortcake and death by chocolate are sensational.

This is one of the best cupcakes I've had since moving to MD. Honestly I should be giving this place a 5-star rating but I will reserve that for a later time if they prove to be consistently good. My husband ordered the Chocolate Sundae - great! I had the Death by Chocolate - wonderful! Like another reviewer also said, it has the perfect amount of sweetness so you aren't overwhelmed with the frosting, cake and cream filling. We also ordered the Cookies & Cream and Salty Caramel - which we haven't tasted yet, but I'm sure will be good as well. The prices were reasonable for a specialty cupcake. The service was good and fast with a smile. And I appreciated the pink bakery box to carry them home in. I can guarantee that I will be back!

On July 1st, they had a full selection of cupcakes, including cookies & cream, orange creamsicle, apple pie, banana split, red velvet, strawberry shortcake, chocolate cherry cordial, and death by chocolate. I tried the Banana Split & Orange Creamsicle. The Banana Split is awesome! It has a whip cream-esque icing with pineapples chunks and a maraschino cherry in it, on top of a banana cake made with REAL bananas. The cake was moist and delicious. The whole thing is truth in advertising and delivers on intended effect of incorporating the myriad of flavors in a banana split. The orange creamsicle's icing was delicious and had that aromatic orangeyness. The cake was a little dry, but still good and tasted orangey and aromatic too. Both cupcakes met or exceeded my expectations. I think this cupcakery has now become very promising and I will be returning for more.

I had a banana walnut cupcake...oh my goodness. It was great. The cake is different than other cupcake I have ever had. I can not adequately describe it. You have to try these cupcakes before the lines get to long. Once this place is discovered there will be long lines. I can't wait to go back and try all the other flavors.

I purchased a dozen cupcakes and really enjoyed them. I wasn't very fond of the red velvet. My favorite was the strawberry with cream cheese and death by chocolate. I also tried pink lemonade, dark chocolate cookies and cream and chocolate covered bananas all of which were TO DIE FOR WONDERFUL. I will come back for there other flavors because they are REAL good. I have found my cupcakery!!!

Recently opened in the Bowie (MD) Town Center serving cupcakes and beverages including coffee. Samples of key lime pie and apple pie cupcakes are absolutely fantastic! More to come.

I had tried the vanilla with cream cheese icing. My husband picked out the death by chocolate. The cream cheese icing had no hint of cream cheese, surprisingly. The vanilla cake was alright. I tried my husband's death by chocolate. The cake wasn't as moist as expected and I expected more of a "chocolatey" taste to the icing. Overall, it was alright. Not what I would want to eat at again.

I recently had the Key Lime pie cupcake. It is the BEST cupcake I've ever tasted!
(5)Robert B.
Piña colada cupcake! Sooooo goooooood Moist and all it needed was a little sand between my toes and I would have felt like I was at the beach

Ok, so this initial review is gonna be quick but I'll be back. I'm loving this place thus far. Been twice in 5 days, but I'm only about halfway through the variety of flavors purchased. Gotta taste them all to give a real good summary and ranking my favorites. The customer service is top notch and the cupcakes are amazingly good. Nom nom nom nom nom..... Tasted: Blueberry shortcake Butter pecan Red velvet Lemon Will taste: German chocolate Vanilla sprinkle Strawberry shortcake Apple pie

What's in a name? Everything if you are "Heaven Sent Cupcakery." Truly - the nectar of the gods here! At at Bowie Towne Center's Food Court?! Who knew! Run, don't walk there. Fabulous finds galore... and not just cupcakes. I had a carrot cake slice to DIE for. I appreciate the owners little Christian sayings and affirmations at the counter too. No matter what your religion, the sayings have a way of making everyone smile a bit and feel good about their day. Delicious and divine ;)

Amazing. After going here once in April, I've been back at least three more times for various events such as birthdays, Mother's Day, etc. I've probably had 85% of the cupcakes offered and none have disappointed. My favorite is the salty caramel and plain vanilla. All my friends and family love the cupcakes as well. Very moist cake with the perfect amount of icing. Must try.......

I was pretty excited to check out Heaven Sent Cupcakery. This place is located (temporarily) inside the Food Court at the Bowie Town Center (their new space will be next to Things Remembered); I was pretty surprised that they stated that all the cupcakes are baked fresh on the premise, daily. They have a variety of flavors, including Apple Pie, Banana Split, Lemon Berry, Orange Cream Sickle, Rootbeer Float, etc. I thought it was interesting that the 'cupcakes' they offer are actually known as a 'Cup-Pie,' as while looking like a cupcake from the outside, it is supposed to taste like a piece of pie. I tried the Apple Pie, a Strawberry Shortcake, and a Key Lime. All the cakes were moist, but I wasn't a fan of the graham crust bits at the bottom of the cake (the objective of the 'Cup-Pie' with the pie crust at the bottom); it seemed as if these could be added to the icing, as placing at the bottom made the cake seem more dry and a choking hazard. The icing, while generous, was just overly sweet and not flavored. I did appreciate the 'pie' filling that were on top, which added a nice little touch. I also loved the little cupcake decorations (for my hoarding purposes) :P While the place itself was very pink and cute, and the staff were just so friendly and kind, I thought the cupcakes were just okay. On a side note, once the cupcakes were put into the box, I liked that they actually ask you if the cupcakes looked okay to you (as there are some with OCD that may find a blemish or a slant on the frosting, etc.) - that was a nice little touch. +known for their 'Cup-Pie' cupcakes +cutely-decorated cupcakes +friendly staff :D +answer a trivia question correctly and get a free cupcake! :O +located (temporarily) in the Food Court at Bowie Town Center

Oh my goodness they have delicious cupcakes with good frosting. The flavors change but the ones I have had have been amazing. Go there treat yourself to a long hard day of shopping! Ps

I placed an order for a half dozen cup pies for my daughters birthday party at daycare. I ordered strawberry short cake. The woman who I placed the order with was very personable and friendly. The woman who I met at the store was also very personable and friendly. Upon approaching she was having a very nice conversation with the customer before me. The cupcakes were ready when I arrived, and presented well. While I did not taste the cup cakes the Daycare provider and the kids apparently loved them. I will use them again for future events. I love how they have specialty flavors.
(5)Phyllis P.
very good cupcakes, they have new location in Bowie town center just pass Starbucks so that is more convenient. Enjoy!
(4)Lovly1 S.
They have the best moist cupcakes ever!!!!! They taste fresh and soooo good! I just hate the box they put them in, the cupcake always moves around.
(5)Hana P.
I really appreciated the sign that says "Don't be ashamed to talk about God... Be ashamed not to." Other than that, the cupcakes were just okay. I got there around 5:30 PM on a Friday and was disappointed at how dry the cupcakes were. They were also out of a lot of flavors, which was a bummer. I ordered 2 snickerdoodles, 2 salted caramel, 1 strawberry with cream cheese, and 1 chocolate with cream cheese. Out of all of them, my favorite part was just the cream cheese icing. All in all, they weren't terrible, but they weren't anything amazing either.
(3)DeLisa H.
I was disappointed... I bought a dozen and they were overpriced for their size and they were dry like they had been on display for a few days. They won't get my money again.
(1)Brooke L.
Beat cupcakes ever!! Better than the more famous ones in Georgetown. The German chocolate is the best!!
(5)Birjette S.
This business is located inside the food court at the Bowie Town Center right beside Dairy Queen. The display looks amazing and all the cupcakes look delicious. I originally chose the chocolate lava cream cheese and the oreo cupcakes until the lady told me she also had strawberry shortcake. Of course that sounded delicious and I had to get one, along with the chocolate lava. The total came to $6.09 after tax for two cupcakes. As soon as I got home, I ate the strawberry shortcake. There was whipped cream on top of the delicious, light, perfectly flavored strawberry sugar frosting, with strawberries on top. The actual cupcake part was moist and had strawberries in the middle. Excellent! I will be a return customer!

The real reason I first tried this place was for the Tigers blood snow cone. I'm originally from Louisiana and the snow cones/balls down there area de from shaved ice. All I could find up here and in Maine was crushed ice. The snowballs are tasty and remind me of home. Their prices are very reasonable. I have only tried the almond joy cupcake, but from that one cupcake I know I'll be back for more. Definitely give them a try the food court is not usually crowded and the people behind the counter are professional they wear gloves when handling your food which makes this germaphobe happy!

My Mom stumbled upon this little cupcake place in the Bowie Town Center food court! And needless to say, they are very good! I am not a fan of overpriced cupcakes that are dry and overrated, however, these were very good! I am usually not a fan of lemon anything, but this lemon cupcake is the truth! Very light and very moist! The icing was not too much and was a good proportion to the cake! I also tried the cookies and cream and the death by chocolate! All of which I have tried were moist and delicious! Check their menu daily because flavors and options change from day to day! But for a quick pick up, these are right on time! We even ordered some for my niece's birthday! They were a big hit!!
(4)Kate W.
After sampling six different flavors, not a single one was a disappointment! The cake was moist and icing portion is just right unlike the famous bakeries in Georgetown (too much icing). Heaven Sent Cupcakery is worth the half a mile drive off of route 50's exit for an self-indulge delight!
(5)V L.
Too pricey and entirely too much icing for me, but the flavor was AMAZING and super MOIST. try the oreo cookie one. Yummmmmers! I will go back despite the price lol.
(3)Renata P.
Delicious and great staff. I have been here multiple times and I have never been dissapointed. Love it! And an added bonus that is Christian establishment.
(5)Jim G.
Over the top.............tried four different cupcakes, each one distinct and luscious. This is the desert capital of the world. Honestly, I rarely give five stars, I'd give this food ten. Really great quality and so well prepared I can't find anything I would change. Just a great experience.
(5)Ashleigh H.
Amazing cupcakes! I decided to try this place because of the awesome Yelp reviews and I'm glad I did. The German chocolate and red velvet cupcakes are divine. I will definitely visit again!
(5)Darrell K.
Great selection of....well,....cupcakes. This is totally unexpected since it's in the middle of a food court. Get your food options at one of the other places. Get your desserts here.
(3)Steven B.
Came to this food court for Chinese food figured id give them a try for desert got a strawberry shortcake cup cake flipping amazing lol mind officially blown
(5)Deanna C.
I would first like to preface this review by telling you that I am on a diet so my tastebuds aren't 100% spot on. I am not eating alot of sugar but today was cheat day, so I bought 2 cupcakes Strawberry Shortcake and Death By Chocolate. The Strawberry Shortcake was too sweet for me and would have been perfect if they took the strawberry frosting off and just left the whipped cream. The Death By Chocolate was the star! It was moist fudge chocolate cake with a chocolate frosting that wasn't too sweet. Then they topped it off with a semi-sweet chocolate square. I will come back on my next cheat day and get another Death By Chocolate.
(4)LaJeana H.
This is my absolute favorite cupcake spot. All of their cupcakes are delicious. They do a excellent job at turning some of your favorite dessert like somores, apple pie, cookies n cream into a cupcake flavor. Me and my husbands favorite is salted caramel! My second favorite is chocolate lava....yummy. Not to mention the owners are extremely nice and very personable. Customer service is top notch! I can't say enough about this location!!!!!

It's really pleasant to not have to go all the way to DC for the fancy cupcakes now that the Bowie Town Center's food court has their own arsenal! They offer ice cream, candy, popcorn and cake in addition to their wide cupcake selection! So far, I have only tried Banana Split (a flavor I've ever seen before) & Red Velvet (just so I wouldn't branch away from unfamiliarity too much). First impressions were great! The presentation of the banana split was excellent with the 3 different types of icing to represent the classic sundae look, though there was a tad more icing than what I'm used to from places like this. Despite that, I really can't complain because it tastes great (similar situation with the Red Velvet). It's $2.75 for a cupcake, $15.50 for 6, & $31 for 12, just short of Georgetown Cupcake's & Red Velvet Cupcakery's prices in DC. I definitely recommend giving this place a shot, because they're good! In the near future, I hope they develop a calendar to give out to customers of what flavors they will have when. As of now, they only list their flavors (not the availability though) on their website.

We were attending the Savor Bowie event yesterday and on one of many trips to the bathroom, I passed by and stopped to check it out. I'm so glad I did. There were so many choices to choose from. I had the Death by Chocolate and Salty Caramel and my daughter had the Rin Tin Rootbeer. I'm not a rootbeer fan so I didn't try this one but she said it tastes just like a rootbeer float. The Death by chocolate was intense. I cut it into 3rds so everyone got to try it. After the first bite, I regretted sharing. It was so chocolaty but not overly sweet. The Salty Caramel was the same way. I regretted sharing after the first bite. It was a wonderful caramel flavor with no aftertaste and the saltiness was perfection. I may have to drive 45 min and visit this place again...just for the cupcakes. Flavors I saw-maple bacon, strawberry blast, lemon pie, Apple pie, cookies n cream, butter pecan, salty caramel, butter pecan salty caramel, death by chocolate, red velvet, rin tin rootbeer.

Visiting and popped in for some cupcakes. Shared with management that the last batch of cupcakes that were bought were not up to par, management was very argumentive and provided poor customer service. Will not return and do not recommend to others.
(1)Christina G.
I had the German Chocolate cupcake and it was delicious! Even better the price was good. You can get a half gallon of organic milk for what some places charge for cupcakes. When I'm the area again I plan on trying other flavors.
(4)Lorraine R.
The cupcakes here are consistently moist with just the right amount of sweetness. Our family's favorite is their red velvet. However, we love all the cupcakes we've tried: chocolate lava, chocolate cherry, key lime and more! The service is also great. We have tried many local metro area popular places- but this is really one of the best. Scrumptious and delicious!
