Best Peruvian flavors Great location Friendly staff Delicious sauces Tender beans and rice Thank you Felix

It's chicken and rice. Rice and beans are good, the plantains were okay. Not as good as Sardis but it is cheaper. They do a lot of business so that keeps the prices down. Haven't tried anything else but I'm tempted to try the fish they always advertise.

This PLACE in Bladensburg, Maryland is AMAZING! I'm not sure if there might be another place named the same but do not get them confused because only this one serves the best charcoal chicken! The taste is very authentic and nicely apportioned. The line moves at fast pace so there is no waiting in line forever unless they're busy cooking the chicken. The fries are so delicious. Although they've recently decided to sell the sauces, it hasn't stop me by asking for more.

I go to this place almost every week. The chicken is delicious and the staff is very friendly.

The only Peruvian chicken joint that gets 5 stars from me is Pollo Rico (Wheaton & Arlington) but this place was very good! Great layer of spices (hint of curry?) on the chicken and it was super-moist. Icing on the cake was the fried yucca: crispy and light, not tough and stringy! Service was nice and fast too.

Been here twice and ordered the half chicken with beans and rice each time... Service was alright, but wasn't expecting people to be particularly courteous at a hole in the wall chicken joint. The chicken was delicious. Seasoned well and juicy.... Breast was not as good reheated... I would recommend this place. Food was tasty, portions were large, and prices were low... Closest thing to Pollo Loco you're probably going to find here!

I decided one day that I should check out this spot in Bladensburg, knowing in my mind that there's no way their food could exceed the quality of 'El Pollo Loco.' I was never crazy about Yuca but today I decided, what the heck? So I ordered a whole chicken and my sides were fries and yuca. I've never tasted yuca that was so soft in texture and not hard like the yuca I had tasted at Pollo Loco. And don't get me started in the chicken. I am a true believer and I have officially abandoned 'El Pollo Loco'.

Sometimes i don't feel like driving all the way up Route 1 to go to Sardi's. When that is the case, I go to Super Chicken. It's convenient and on my way home from work. I've 3 or 4 times now to get my fix of pollo la brasa. What I can say is that its inconsistent. My last trip was not as good as the first ones because the chicken seemed like it had been sitting under heat for a while (not the norm). I normally order a half chicken with plantains and yuca. My other gripe is that they don't have a vegetable option as a side dish. All in all Super Chicken is good. Its run by a great family and sold at a good price.

From humble beginnings they've built a decent business. There's always a line at the counter. I go in bi-weekly to get their abundant Chicken Caesar Salad. It's loaded with delicious skinless grilled chicken! It's always fresh and at a decent price. They serve the dressing in little resealable containers, so you can measure your own. Wonderful!

Man....this is/was a really great meal at a very inexpensive price. I have too say that we've have El Pollo Rico a serious pass on their delights...And I pride myself as being an ala brasa Connisseuer ...this definitely gives EPR a run for their money and in my opinion has begun to surpass

As denoted by the Yelp star system, I've become a fan of this place. I've tried many of the rest in MD, and this is (so far) the best. I went recently and have a few things to update. Food - The prices have jumped quite a bit. A 1/4 chicken meal will still run you about $6, but the 1/2 chicken meal has increased to nearly $9 and the whole chicken to $14! Still, it is the best Peruvian chicken stop in MD. Location - They still don't have menus or a signboard up at all, which I find a bit annoying but they now accept credit! For you MoCoers who insist that Crisp & Juicy is the be-all and end-all, drive down to Super Chicken and be prepared to be amazed.

Super chicken is the best name for this place!! It makes me sooooooo happy to even pull up in front of the building... I get excited knowing that I'm about to get the best chicken in all of DC! No, really, its fail proof. The food is always good every time, period!

Super Great Chicken should be the name! We walked in just passing through and starving. What a great little hole in the wall. No frills, great price, and fantastic food!

This chicken is the bomb! Whenever we have a party at work, I purchase 2 whole chicks and ask the chicken guy to cut them up into small pieces (in Spanglish of course). My coworkers love the smoky cumin flavored chunks of meat and they all rave over that electric green jalapeno sauce that comes on the side. I've tried the beans, rice and salad (all pretty run of the mill), I stick to the chicken. The leftovers make great enchiladas.... Come to my hood for some of the best Peruvian chicken in PG. Co. Peace out!

I'm Sure Ryan Z. would like restitution rather than retribution :), and it sounds like he's got a legitimate beef with this chicken shack, but I'm sure he ordered from them in the first place 'cause THE CHICKEN IS AWESOME. Ask for extra chimichurri (spicy green parsley and garlic condiment), cause Ryan's right about that, too. It adds a lot to this already spectacular flavor. The atmosphere is what you'd expect in the neighborhood...carry out with a couple of tables. As I mentioned, the chicken is great. I always get the fried yucca as one side, and then follow my whim for the second side. I have never looked to see if there are any mains besides the ahem awesome chicken. And if you're feeling a little peckish, pop into the little Mexican variety store next door to pick up a tasty tamale from the front counter.

Excellent Peruvian charcoal broil chicken.. They use charcoal and a smoker right in front of you while the food is being prepared. Lots of other food such as curry tripe and stew beef and many more..

Was craving rotisserie chicken yesterday and planned to head up to Boston Market as a last resort because I didn't want to stray far from home. On my way up on Kenilworth road I was rethinking my decision remembering how much I hate the service at the boston market on Kenilworth/East West Hwy (they always make you wait over 15/20mins for take-out which is SLOOW considering they have all the chickens and sides already made.. does it really take 20 minutes to put an order together and put it in a bag? At Boston Market.. yes!). Anywho.. I digress.. so I'm dreading going to BM but really want some chicken... as I'm standing at the light right before Super Chicken I see the words.. "pollo a la brasa" Peruvian chicken... so I go where not many dare to go and stopped blindly at this strip mall looking thing to try this peruvian chicken. (I know I live dangerously.) I found parking right in front of the place and peer in and see only one lonesome diner eating... I almost turn back but then see another customer approaching the door.. I figure what the heck. So I gather my things... start to go outside.. lock my car.. walk to the door... the previously mentioned customer is already heading towards the door to head out.. I'm like... Huh? Did they run out of chicken or something... that was quick. Still perplexed I go on to my now "theres no turning back peruvian quest".. what's the worst that could happen? Dried out chicken? Burnt even? Been there done that.. and I survived. So I walk in... I'm greeted by a nice latino gentleman welcoming me and asking how they can serve. I asked for the half chicken with side of rice and beans. He asks would you like the beans in a closed container or in the same plate.. I say seperate. I ask if they take debit cards.. he says "YES" hooray... I pay... and before I even get my receipt to sign it.. my food has been chopped, served, bagged and ready to go. I pay and head out.. I think the whole transaction took me no more than 4 minutes. So then I worry.. hmm I wonder how long my chicken had been sitting there before I got there.. still skeptical I get in my car and start the 10min drive home. The chicken starts emitting this delicious odor that makes me want to stop my car on a side road and dig in right then and there! I'm happily surprised but stand my ground and miraculously make it all the way home. I get home and open my food.. it looks good! (I took a picture for you guys). Then I proceeded to attack the thigh first... I touch the drumstick and it's super hot! Too hot to handle which I'm extremely happy to see since it was carry out. I wait for it to cool a few minutes and attack it a second time.. I pull on the drumstick and the entire bone comes out clean off the meat.. wow no that's what I call falling off the bone! I tried the chicken without any sauces to really get a taste of the flavors... i was in chicken heaven. The seasonings were delicious.. the chicken was moist and the skin crispy.. success!! The rice and beans were nicely done too and the portions were huge! I had my fill and still had some leftover for lunch today! (still delicious!!!!) Definitely a fan and will be back often! Boston Market.. it's over.. I found someone new.. someone better.. someone who will not make me wait and leave me with cold chicken when I get home. Goodbye forever! (Ps. Unless I'm craving corn bread) (Pss. You better hope Super Chicken never starts making corn bread).

As a restaurant owner I know what it takes to make people happy, it's not easy, but this place does not care about there customers one iota. I order hundreds of dollars of food from this place every week and this time the forgot my sauce, which is the best part. I called them after I got back and they could not have been more rude. They basically told me it was my fault and they would do nothing to rectify the situation. After half way through the conversation the lady told me she did not speck English and hanged up. There chicken is pretty bad by it's Self and none of it got eaten. All I was looking for was an apology and some kind of retributions, but they did not care and lost a customer. To bad
