Morton's is the most consistent steakhouse in the area. I have been here several times for all different occasions: birthdays, anniversaries, and half price happy hour. Bobby has been our server a number of times and he is fantastic. Jon, a manager, is always welcoming and friendly. Morton's gives you a more personal touch, from the staff, to the menu, to the food. They are more than happy to personalize the menus for a special occasion and take a photograph after the meal. You can tell that the food is fresh and always well prepared. Can't wait to go back!

So Miss Alexa S wrote a review earlier today decrying this restaurant for having poor management and rude staff. The true source of her complaint is that she wanted one particular server who worked there to wait on her. This server was apparently a former friend turned enemy, and had no desire to be mocked by her old mate. The manager was 100% supportive of his server's choice, and did not adhere to Alexa's request, which was rude and sadistic and childish. This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars for backing up their staff and keeping them happy at the expense of spoiled dimwits like this Alexa, who clearly can't tell her backside from her face. Go you, Mortons. Go you. Gold stars all around. Alexa should feel ashamed for acting like a brat at the ripe age of 22.

This place is absolutely divine! Service is impeccable and the food is top notch!!! I went there for my first date recently and I was very pleased!!!!! I ordered the lobster bisque as my entreè and I couldn't even finish it! It was DELICIOUS!!! Definitely an ideal spot to take someone out on a date.

It's hard not to be a fan of a classic American steakhouse. Morton's is another one of those great spots that makes you feel like a gangsta, in all the best ways. Food: It's gotta be the classic NY strip for me, every time. 16 oz of love, prepared on the rare side of med-rare, so a little blue in the center but still warm. Man, was that a well-prepared piece of meat. I took down about 12 ounces of that bad boy on general principle. Also had a Caesar salad, which was pretty tasty - a bit overdressed but c'mon, we're at a steakhouse. Sides that the table shared were, in order of my liking: onion rings (fantastic!), brussels sprouts (tasty), broccoli (just ok), and lyonniase potatoes (too greasy). We also shared a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc to start the meal and a hefty Cabernet with the steaks. A very good meal, and the NY strip was the highlight for sure. We didn't save any room for dessert. Service: Very good service, with all of the appropriate training you would expect from a classic steak joint. Attentive, unobtrusive, friendly, and hospitable. Made all of us feel like special and important people. Vibe: Old-blue-eyes-drinking-Jack-Daniels-cool. What more can I say? This place throws you back to an era where you took your damn time eating and socializing. They don't roll out the meat cart anymore with the various cuts for your to choose, which is a shame, but it hardly matters. Family-friendly: Absolutely, and there were kids dining at other tables, but I'm not sure why you would bother bringing kids here when most would just eat mac and cheese and french fries anyway. My kids would chow down on the steak, but I've trained them differently... Summary: Classic spot if you want to have a well-prepared piece of meat. I don't know about other menu items, because in good conscience can't order seafood at a steakhouse. Definitely pricey, but the quality is in the product. Go get you some beef!

The late night happy hour is great here! It has enough of selection for food and drinks. However, the last time we went, we were told that they don't serve alcohol off of the HH menu after 9pm anymore which was kind of disappointing. My friends and I always order the truffle fries, a must try!

Let me start off by saying that I really like their bread here... Anyway, we began the meal with the jumbo shrimp and the hot appetizer platter. I would order these again. Finished my meal by splitting the bone in ribeye, cajun style. I wasn't very impressed with it. I wish I sat at the bar and ordered some of the happy hour appetizers again. The staff was excellent, as expected from a steakhouse such as this.

I came for dinner. We made the reservations and we were immediately seated. The menu is mindblowing and lead to utter indecisiveness as I wanted everything. We settled on the prix fixe special which included: soup/ salad + 6oz filet mignon + choice of a seafood entree + dessert. I ordered the lobster bisque. This bisque was not as flavorful as to what I'm used to. Additionally, it only contained one piece of lobster. The bisque was served lukewarm and that may have been what contributed to the flavors not standing out. The filet mignon, I prefer mine medium rare. It was perfect & flavorful. I choose the crabcake. It was made with a combination of backfin & lump crab meat, little to no meal. Although very good, I was a bit disappointed in its size, smaller than a hockey puck. The dessert, the hot chocolate molten cake (which was not flourless... Thank goodness) although not seemingly made to order was still amazing. I say that, because it was not warm & the molten chocolate in the center had firmed. The taste is somewhat bitter as I think there is dark chocolate mixed in, but was still perfection when enjoyed with the baseball sized scoop of vanilla ice cream. I'm embarrass jeans and a sweater. Compared to the other customers, I was still appropriate however, at my next visit, I'll be sure to wear a dress... Maybe curl my hair a little.
In all of my wildest dreams I never thought I would be giving morton's two stars and that was strictly because the service was awesome! I treat myself for my birthday dinner and I went to Morton's for lobster... What a mistake :-( I ended up ordering a surf and turf and the lobster was dry... it was awful. The fillet was okay but not great Again it breaks my heart as I have dined in Morton's my entire life, to have to warn y'all do you not get the lobster it's not going to be what you want

Ladies - if you're planning on dining at Morton's, I highly advise that you take the time to doll up. You don't have to impress anyone, but when you go out for lunch or dinner at a nice restaurant, you want to feel confident and look beautiful. And I would definitely say Morton's is an intimate, classy restaurant (that's also Metro accessible) - it's perfect for a romantic dinner (or lunch) for two! :) I absolutely loved the staff! They are well knowledged as far as the food and beverages are concerned. And they actually have a sense of humor, and it's obvious they love doing what they do. I had mentioned to the server I was there to celebrate a special occasion; soon after, the host offered a complimentary photo - I thought it was a lovely gesture. And the lovely gesture didn't end there - when the bill arrived, there an approximate $15 discount - I presume it was because I was there to celebrate a special occasion. As for the food, it was most delicious! The steak was perfectly cooked. And chicken bianco was absolutely yummy too. I also tried Morton's hot chocolate cake - it was oh so warm and tasty. For the ambiance, quality and quantity of food, and overall dining experience, I would say the price is definitely reasonable. My companion and I loved the music that was playing in the background as well. I definitely plan to return to Morton's soon! PS: gents - you probably should too put some effort to look sharp. ;)
Came here for a work event tonight and the food was delicious! Let's start off with cocktail hour: The hors d'oeuvre of the night were lamb chops, crab cakes, and tomato mozzarella costinis drizzled with balsamic vinegar. Everything was delicious! The crab cake barely had any filling in it- literally all crab meat and the lamb chops were marinated to perfection. The service was excellent. For our entrees we were given a selection of filet mignon, sea bass, or chicken. They all came with a side of string beans and mashed potatoes. I chose the filet mignon cooked medium well. The steak was so juicy and paired well with the garlic green beans. The mashed potatoes were nothing out of the ordinary- they could have used a little more salt but overall everything was tasty. For dessert I chose the berries which was served with whipped cream on top. Overall a well rounded dinner and I would definitely return again.

The good: the food was excellent, cooked to order, and the service was friendly if inefficient. The bad: We felt the restaurant was trying to take advantage at several turns, and this treatment left a bad taste in our mouths. First, the waiter purposely neglected to offer the Restaurant Week menu and left us alone for 15-20 minutes to peruse the standard menu before we had a chance to even ask for the fixed-price menu. Second, the table water reeked of chlorine and WSSC chemicals, though the waiter insisted it was filtered; it was undrinkable, so we had to get a $10 bottle of mineral water. Third, and the most underhanded, two of our party asked for their filets mignons well done, so the waiter sensibly offered to have them butterflied (to cook more evenly). They did so, and each only got half of the butterfly -- a half portion, cut sideways! Finally, the wine list is heavy on big producers, and the markups are 400-500%. I view this as an opportunity lost for Morton's. I'd never been, and used the Restaurant Week excuse to try it out. They should be using it to try to convince me to come back, not to try to wring out every last cent.

The last time we dined here was over four years ago and it wasn't very memorable at all. So, we came here because of a gift certificate we need to use. I was happy to see this place got a new look - it looks more modern now not like the old stale dining room before. They have two great special menu's if you are okay with eating a 6 oz filet. I had the steak and summer menu ($59.99) and my wife had the summer menu ($49). I got the Morton's Salad (couldn't taste the bleu cheese dressing), filet with a single crab cake (cooked a perfect medium rare), brussel sprouts, and finished it off with the Hot Chocolate Cake. Man, I was so stuffed after this meal I went home and went to sleep. My wife enjoyed her food as well. The dining room was pretty empty until around 8:30PM, but the bar area was packed probably for their happy hour specials. We sat by the open kitchen where they cook the steaks. You can hear the manager bringing steaks back from customers who thought their steaks weren't cooked to their specifications. Come on people, you don't go to a steakhouse and order a steak medium or medium-well!! You have to order it at least a medium-rare. I felt bad for the cook. You can tell he takes great pride with his cooking.

There are some days when I just crave a juicy steak. My boyfriend took me to this place he thought was known for their steaks. First off, the warm onion bread was unique. It was huge and soft with flavor. I was quite disappointed with the filet mignon as my main course. I asked for medium and it came out medium well. I took a bite and it was incredible tough. It was so overly burnt that I couldn't even taste natural the flavors of the steak. I have to say the best part of the dinner was the dessert. Their chocolate molten cake is amazing. It's just the right amount of sweetness and the moist chocolate cake melts in your mouth. For the price, I've definitely had better. I only recommend coming here for the free bread and dessert.

Used to be great. Had a number of celebratory and holiday dinners there and the g'town location over the decades. Landry's has completely ruined a classic. Food, while good, is no where near the quality to justify the prices they charge. I won't go back anytime soon.
This was definitely a disappointment or me. I have been to the SF Morton's and especially for the price point they charge, the quality at this Morton's was definitely not up to par. Service was slow and the restaurant was loud and it was difficult to carry a conversation without a bit of shouting. My colleague ordered his steak medium and the steak was completely cooked when it arrived. We had the steak replaced and when the steak finally arrived, it took another 20 min before forks were given to my colleague to start eating. I am not sure if I would try other Morton's in future.

We used to go to Morton's around the country, my wife was a preferred member of their regular customers. Not to sure about Morton's as a whole since Landry's bought it, but they need to think to the future and adapt, so we'll see. The filet was great, as were the brussel sprouts. The service was top notch and their recommended Cabernet was excellent. The only thing I didn't like about the place wasn't even tied to Morten's per say. It is located in a hotel, and the hotel lobby is so outdated, looks like a 1970s Holiday Inn.

We went to Morton's for our anniversary. When I made the reservation online, it asked if this was for a special occasion. I selected 'Anniversary' thinking it would be the usual "Oh, happy anniversary, by the way" response from the hostess & then dinner as usual. Boy was I wrong. First, it started with the valet. Now even though he probably works for a separate company, he was absolutely great. Quick, polite, friendly, complimentary. Just a great guy. Now the restaurant. Not only did they have specially printed menus for us, but they went above and beyond to make the night special and memorable. They gave us an anniversary photo and comped our dessert. Our waiter, Rob, was great from beginning to end! While the steaks were not the best I ever had, they were still very good. I ordered the NY strip and my husband ordered the filet. Both were cooked just as we requested. We also got the bacon mac & cheese (definitely worth getting) and the horseradish mashed potatoes (definitely worth getting IF you like horseradish). Overall, I was really impressed by their great service. There are so many steakhouses to choose from which all have great food, so to me, the service makes the difference.

Parking was not bad for the location, however it did cost $5 even after getting validation. I came to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and they take your picture before the meal to give you a birthday card, so that was a very sweet touch to our evening. Also, there is an amazing deal going on right now where you get a three course meal with desert for only $35. My boyfriend's cup of Mccallan 18 costed $34! So definitely a good deal with the portions they give you. The food was delicious and I had a very nice evening here at Morton's.

The food here is fine but not as good as Ruth's Chris up the street. The procedure is that they bring the raw meat and live seafood to your table, which for me is wildly unappealing and a bit ridiculous. They must think it's a cool or unique element of the dining experience but I think they should put an end to it. I found the wait staff to be a bit rude, especially when they asked for the ID of only one person in my party and asked skeptic tone. Seemed very unprofessional and oddly hostile.

How can you not have a delicious dinner at Morton's? Located in the lobby of the Hyatt Hotel, we did carry out and ate dinner in bed. It was a fantastic experience; wine, steak, shrimp, crab cakes, asparagus and scallops. They offer a combo style meal, so my family and I (2 adults, 2 kids) ate plenty and paid a reasonable price for such quality. Loved it.

Atmosphere and service were delightful. Food, well to be blunt, it sucked! Maybe it was all the martinis i had at the bar and my judgment was a bit skewed, but the food was pretty BLAND! Isn't the place supposed to be on the superior side when it comes to quality of food? My food was free because the company picked up the tab, but even this free food sucked, and trust me, I LOVE FREE FOOD! OK, gonna go back this weekend, and not eat my dinner trashed. I will be be back with an update.

I was not impressed with Morton's because of the prices and the service. Granted, Morton's is known for being expensive, but that leads me to expect there to be something special about the food. I guess that's why Yelpers mention that it's best to go during happy hour for the bar bites menu which is offered daily from open - 6:30 pm and then again from 9:00 pm - close in the bar area. I realize meat eaters are willing to pay a pretty penny for a great steak, but $20 for a baked potato (butter and sour cream, not loaded) and one beer is ridiculous. Side dishes are $12 each. That's similar to room service pricing. The menu mentions that the sides are for sharing but my baked potato was not big enough to share. There was nothing special about this baked potato except that it took over 50 minutes to get to the table (as did most of the food). The service was extremely slow. We were offered the typical complimentary bread and butter - the bread was a large onion round rather than sliced bread. I had no intention of eating more than a small slice of bread but since we had to wait so long for the food, we ended up eating the entire loaf. My friend suggested we go to Morton's since he really likes the Ahi Tuna Tower appetizer. He also ordered the lobster bisque. The beefsteak tomato appetizer smothered with blue cheesed looked appetizing based on the orders I noticed coming out of the kitchen. The atmosphere is cozy, inviting and posh. The bar area would be a nice place for a first date, etc except for the prices. Parking: Valet is $10 with validation. Thanks to Yelper Libby F. for suggesting the parking garage directly across the street from Morton's (behind the building) at the intersection of Wisconsin and Montgomery Ave. The garage has metered parking and if you drive to the very top to the open-air parking, there are15 hr parking meters for .80 per hour. It's only a 1.5 block walk to Morton's.

I've been going to Morton's for many years and acquired my VIP status and card the old fashioned way / by being a regular and spending alot of $$$. Recently when I went in and was 10 minutes late for my reservation due to traffic , I was told by the terribly rude black manager with the jacked up teeth and dirty suit that since I was late (even tho I called) my table was given away. I explained that as a VIP my seat was to be held which was received by a hearty laugh by said manager and a shake of his head and with a chuckle he said "you're not special anymore, all customers are VIP now" so have a seat at the bar and wait your turn". An hour later as I watched this manager seat several people before me I approached him to get an update on my table for which I was told he could not find me. Hello!!! I was AT THE BAR WHERE HE TOLD ME TO WAIT! Terrible time. The quality of the food has gone way down. I will never go back. NOT like the old Morton's AT ALL! It is now nothing more than a high priced TGIF type chain restaurant. Terrible customer service. Rudest manager I've ever encountered in my life.

I had a nice experience here with the company around me but my experience at this location was not the best. You walk in and are immediately confused on where the dining room is because the happy hour bar crowd is in the entrance. This restaurant is poorly layed out with the reception desk off to the left in a corner that you don't even notice. We were kindly greeted by the waitstaff and got a complimentary picture taken and printed for the birthday guest. Our waitstaff was sloppy, in a rush (they were not busy) and frankly didn't seem to care. My boyfriend got water spilled all over his menu as well as coffee spilt on the table. Our waitress banged our plates on the table like she was in a rush. My boyfriend and I both have plenty of hospitality experience to know what poor and awesome service is. I do hope they read this and train their staff better. The food was pretty good. My boyfriend and I split the braised beef and scallops. Very good. We had a side of button mushrooms and spinach. It was a little tasteless. Everyone else had crab cakes and fish. I liked their side portions and push to share with others.

I really wanted to like it more....Could be the particular location. Was not too impressed for the price paid. Server was real nice though and made the experience a postive one. Probably would seek other options if I am in the mood for a steak at this price point.

"Steakhouse Restaurant & Bar in a Hyatt- Hotel Building" ~ Bethesda, MD. The Server and atmosphere were very pleasant. There were families with children who seemed to do well in the environment. Staff was friendly, but fancy and very expensive (same price like NYC). The hotel building & the garage needs a complete makeover !!! I think this Steakhouse Rest. franchise is the best you can get in this town. My opinion; It isn't the best Steakhouse Restaurant....can't compete with "Peter Luger" in New York City ~ Brooklyn.

I've been a long time patron (and VIP) and am extremely disappointed with the direction it's taken since being taken over by another restaurant group. Strange how the prices haven't changed while the quality has plummeted. Only upside is the good people that work the bar. I so miss the old school Morton's.

I'm a bit of a food snob! I guess for this area this is considered to be the best steakhouse. Steaks and service was good, but for NYC price. In MD?! That's why it only gets 3 star from me. It was a memorable evening because we opened up a bottle of Opus One 2009, price actually ok for an expensive wine like that. Anyway, if you are in the mood for a good steak this is probably the best you can get in this area. It' s located in a Hyatt Hotel, which looks a bit dated and shady. Hotel must have looked better maybe 20 years ago.

The food was good, as always, although I found the bourbon sauce to be overpowering on my filet. However, the service was not what one would expect whens pending $100 per plate. We sat for five minutes before we got our menus or had our drink order taken. Our waiter, Steven, didn't realize we were in his area (we overheard another waiter ask him why he wasn't servicing us after taking our drink order.) It also took quite some time for our plates to be cleared, for him to ask if we wanted another drink, etc. I caught the other waiter out of the corner of my eye speak to two bussers about our table and then one of them came and cleared our table in the absence of our waiter. It must be a fluke- this isn't what Mortons is known for- but it was unfortunate. It was the first time my colleague had been to one and I don't think he was impressed.

I have been a long time and frequent Morton's guest-- but doubtful anymore. the Bethesda address is not a Mortons as much as a steak chain. I recognize the days of the "Morton's Presentation" are long gone-- but the rest has followed. The once huge broccoli looks like something out of a diner. (the manager explained they no longer buy from the same place and are now trying something new-- big mistake). The onion rIngs which were once the size of bracelets are the size of fifty cent pieces-- at best. the steak quality was okay--just okay. We ordered five ribeyes and three of them were so fatty I almost returned them. The molten cake, usually so great, was burnt on the bottom and edges. In short, if you are going to still charge the same very expensive Morton's prices-- deliver the Morton's experience.

Love Morton's, just not this one! I haven't been to the Bethesda Morton's in more than a year, but a client took my wife and I as a thank you present. 7pm on a Monday night, 5 tables full, service was slow at best.50 minutes to get our mal from time of order. Spinach salad appt was very good, 4 out of 5 meals were good, my bone-in veal chop was raw. It was asked to be med. rare. Once sent back, it came to me well done. In the end, the veal was removed from the bill, but I finished eating 20 minutes after my wife and the rest of the table. Manager was a putz. Piss poor. Why can't this place be as good as the rest. DC and Tyson's are consistantly awesome.

I had a Great experience at Morton's tonight, the very Best part was service, waiter Joe O'Donnell (Big Joe) is Fantastic, he goes out of his way to make your visit the Best Experience, he is a valuable asset to Morton's,. The ladies at the bar were also Great, Rebecca and Kelly,. Food was very good, the oyster are always very fresh, we used 2 bottles from our wine locker, plus cocktails and after dinner drinks,. I have dined in the Best restaurants in Europe, The USA and Latin America,. When comes to service , Morton's is very much in line with the best.!!

I have been a regular at Morton's since it opened in 2005 and have enjoyed VIP status up until about a year ago when the company was purchased by the Landry Group. In an effort to "update" and become "trendy" so very much has gone downhill. So my visits became less and less frequent. Prices skyrocketed, much smaller portions, service suffered and the whole remodeling (cheap imitation of Vegas and Atlantic City chic) fiasco was so unnecessary. Why can't acquiring companies leave well enough alone? And of course, corporate headquarters always ruins the existing status quo with their hand picked general managers. This afternoon I decided to dine on the bar side of the restaurant for the lower priced, "Bar Bites" menu ( 5 - 6:30 pm M-F and Sunday) that are still somewhat of a value for downtown Bethesda. It came to my attention that a certain general manager ( will remain nameless) had been relieved of his duties or had moved on to other opportunities, whatever, I wish him the best. Anyway, the food was served quickly and still hot from the kitchen. We had several items from the menu - all delicious! Shrimp, oysters, steak taco, crab and steak sliders all fresh and tasty! Ambiance on the bar side of the dinning room passes, but I preferred the original decor. Both Rebecca and Kelly where both pleasant, attentive and courteous and it was a pleasure having them as servers. They reminded me of what Morton's once was ( a first class experience) and hopefully will become again soon. Joe (Big Joe) stopped by to say hello and commented that he had not seen us for a while. I mentioned that the Morton's quality experience had rapidly gone down hill and I was hoping for a turn around. If my visit today was an indicator that things may turn around, I will dine more often. We always request Joe as a server when on the dinning room side. He has always been a professional and one of the main reasons, along with the generous size portions and classy steakhouse decor, we have had so many wonderful dinners at Morton's.

It's expensive. $200 for two steaks, one appetizer, one side, with one glass of wine each, and no dessert. The service is usually pretty good. (Though one time the waiter kind of chided my husband that I was cutting his steak; he is missing half of his right hand. We've since learned that anyone can order their steaks cut from the kitchen.) The steaks are almost always perfect. Melt in your mouth perfect flavor and texture. We've eaten here with large groups, too, and they are accommodating. The bread, meh-- it's awkward to cut, makes a mess, and it's okay tasting. Everything is a la carte. The veggie sides like broccoli are meant for at least two people because it is an enormous cut. My cosmopolitans at the bar cost $15. It's darkly lit, and the ambiance feels upscale, and there are a lot of business folks who fill this place.

Great food, outstanding service, high prices, and one of the loudest dining rooms we've ever had dinner in. Between the loud voices of the other diners and the waiter attending the adjacent table we could barely speak with the other couple in our booth. Go there for some of the best food or service you will ever get. Go elsewhere for a relaxing evening.

I have been to Morton's many times over the years in many cities and it is usually a reliable top tier steakhouse with uniform quality that serves prime beef at expensive prices with everything ala carte. However, yesterday at the Bethesda Mayland location I had a very disappointing dinner. The menu is no longer shown to you with examples of the actual food. The waiters seem poorly trained and inattentive. Started with morton salad (requested no anchovies) and lobster bisque. The soup was ok but the salad had almost no dressing and it was like eating a raw head of lettuce with a few crumbles of hard boiled egg on top. The waiter didn't ask how the food was. I suspect she misunderstood no anchovy and put my order in as no dressing. I had the 15 oz tenderloin medium rare. My server even came back to ask me to make sure I wanted medium rare and not medium well. It came medium well but nobody checked with me until I had eaten about half of a terrible medium well steak burnt on outside and Grey and tough on inside. By the time someone came to inquire and I complained we were nearly done with dinner. The server asked if I wanted another steak. I was already full so I declined. The waiter then just wandered away instead of discussing other options to compensate me for poor meal. No apology. Very clueless. my wife had the bone in ribeye that she ordered medium well. It was OK but when it came out it was a half inch thick. It looked like a steak from bonanza instead of something from high end steakhouse. Again I suspect waiter mixed up order and requested both steaks medium well despite coming back to check before placing order. Or the chef is incompetent. Baked potato was undercooked and hard. Wild mushrooms were ok. Bill was almost $200 with tip. Very disappointing meal from a place that is historically reliable and decent. Won't be coming back to this location. I hope other locations have not also declined

Went for a nice dinner. The Onion soup was great, the Oysters Rockefeller was AMAZING!, The Steaks, OMG, I got the Chicago ribeye, wife got the Porterhouse. Both were cooked to perfection. I have been to Ruth's Chris and actually used A-1 on my steak there, I did not have to put anything on my steak at Morton's. No salt, no pepper, nothing, it was just and amazing steak and a great cut of meat that was juicy, tender and so good. The Spinach and Mushroom side dish was great as was the bacon and onion mac and cheese. I have seen people complain that the sides are $12 each, but there is enough there for 2-3 people to share. We both had some of the sides and had enough to bring home. for $12 it's worth it. The bartenders were amazing, as we got there a bit early and had a few beverages while waiting to be seated. Olga was Great and our Server was very informative on the menu items. This is probably a once a year treat due to the price, but it was WELL worth it.

If you go to a steakhouse and order a $57 steak medium well, it shouldn't come out rare. If you don't get asked how it was for a half an hour, how can you get it done right? The manager spent all his time sucking up to one table and didn't check on anyone else. Ruth's Chris across the street has my vote!

Of all the locations (Georgetown, Dupont and Reston) this Morton was probably the least inviting. It's awkward entrance and a very small space for a waiting area were enough to make you turn around. It didnt help that the heater was jacked up to 85F. I didnt quite undertand the wait if a reservation was made. That happened to about 5 groups of people. While waiting I decided to use the restroom. I took a peek in the dining room, it seemed like this location had a much more family-oriented, older and outdated crowd. My friend and I gave up and sat at the bar instead. The server was very friendly and attentive. My cabernet was lame it was $17 a glass but it was not full-bodied in fact it was on the sweeter side, my worst nightmare. The food came out really fast! I was amazed. The lobster looked runny, the steaks were average maybe I didn't like it as much as I used to maybe because I've had better ones. It was a matter of convenience, next time I would just drive into DC for a better ambience and steak.

Just got back home from eating here with my mom. It was her birthday and it was last minute but wanted to do something nice. Made reservations at 7pm for 8pm. They exceeded my expectations. They even had her name on the menu wishing her happy birthday. Service was excellent. About five people wished her happy birthday by name. Food wise she had salmon and I had the Cajun ribeye. They both were great. I would definitely come again sometime. Thanks for making my moms birthday dinner special Morton's!

overall I would say it wasn't a great experience. I had a sirloin which was a small portion but well cut piece of meat . it came with beans and mash potatoes for sides the food wasokay . Ambience was quite nice waitstaff was very attentive. I was a bit irked by the parking validation for only five dollars. at the Georgetown Location the parking was completely validated. And so the food experience was just meh for me and not enough for me to return

Morton's has always been the place to go for impeccable service and great food. The steaks are always fantastic and the salads / sides are huge...so keep in mind that sharing is a good thing.

The food was good, service was excellent..however the food did not match the price. For that reason, I gave Morton's 3 stars. I ordered the pear salad (minus the blue cheese), 6 oz fillet minion (sp?) and had the chocolate cake for dessert. The one thing I have to comment on was the shear size if the chocolate cake. I was accompanied by a party of 6 (3 male, 3 female) and the one slice of cake ordered was evenly split between the 6 of us (a pair sharing one slice). In addition, each piece was larger than an average cake slice! If anything I would say that left us feeling a bit better signing the receipt and adding tip at the end of the night.

Even using a gift certificate, the tab for four was quite high. On the positive side, the staff were uniformly and without exception great - friendly, informed, helpful, generally a delight. On the menu, the wild mushrooms made us all swoon and fight for scraps. The souffle was also devoured to great acclaim. The costly asparagus should have stayed in Peru or wherever it was "grown". BUT my bone-in rib eye was without any marbling AT ALL - while cooked to my request (very rare) it was so lean and pedestrian it was essentially without taste - a little dismaying, at the $50+ price. I took most of it home to recook myself as steak sandwiches on good crusty bread, with mustard to lend a little flavor. Another filet, which was ordered Medium Well ("but pink inside please") against my recommendations arrived as a grey hard lump. Another disappointment. I would go back for the mushrooms and souffle if I don't have to order any meat from this "steak house". Sorry.

Two years after bookmarking this place, I finally got to stop in for their happy hour and try their Bar Bites. Between 5-6:30 PM at $5 per plate you can get a selection of bites that are sure to impress you just as much as it did me. The three mini cheeseburgers and the four filet sandwiches plates were very impressive in overall quality and value. Three of the most tender, perfectly seasoned burgers I've had. I dare say it's almost as good as the miniburgers at Matchbox, if not bigger and heartier. And while the filet sandwiches didn't have the POW! In your face! flavor punch as the burgers, the perfectly cooked, tender meat melted in your mouth. Tear off some of the excess bread, scrape off some of the mayo, and you have the perfect sandwich. It was so good the hubs ordered a second plate for us to share. They also had $4 select beer specials, but I can only imagine what crap beer they would offer so the hubs and I opted not to get it. That aside, the beers were expensive - $7.50 for a bottle of Blue Moon or Guiness Stout? That's crazy! Definitely glad I was in the 'hood to drag my husband to for happy hour. Great happy hour bar bites that didn't skimp on size and quality for the price. I'll definitely come back for their HH specials. Heck I might even come back for a meal!

Okay, so I'm warming back up to Morton's of Bethesda. The new general manager, Lawrence Strauss, just called me to let me know he is the new sheriff in town - so to speak of course. He personally apologized for my last couple visits to the location where I encountered locked doors and lights out before actual closing time. I will give them another shot soon at the encouragement of Mr. Strauss.

I enjoyed the food here and the ambience was nice but I can only give this place 4 stars..... and why do you ask? The first thing they served us was onion bread!!! Who eats onion bread!!!! And it was god awful onion bread!!!!! It was nasty and someone at Morton's should have the common sense to know that this is unacceptable. PERIOD!!!! Yuck!!!!!......No 5 yucks!!!!!!.....Blah!!!!!!! Other than that though...... the steak was great!!!!

My review is for the happy hour bar. My first thought when I walked in was, where is this vomit smell coming from? and then I was told that the sprinklers were set on and they haven't been turned on for a bout 10 years, so the water gave the restaurant a really bad smell. It was not unbearable but it did make me gag once or twice. Aside from that, I was really looking forward to a nice cold drink until i saw the four very lame options. I get its an upscale restaurant but to have vodka martini with NO flavor !@#$%^^%^ was) , a gin martini, a mojito and a cosmo option for $7 was kind of a waste of a happy hour. I wasn't very happy to see my bill at most, because I thought happy hours were meant to be cheaper than what I got. BUT the food was pretty good, I had the mini hamburgers as recommended and the crab cake minis as well. Both were very tasteful. I had two orders of each. I also got the blue cheese steak fries and OMG those were delicious. Ask for Alissa, shes the best bartender and server there! :) I wouldn't necessarily call this a happy hour, but since food makes me happy more than alcohol it did me justice.

After moving to Bethesda from DC, I decided to try this Morton's instead of the one in Georgetown I usually go to. I was extremely disappointed. First off, I'd like to mention that they recently remodeled. They're not completely finished yet, and there's nothing worse than dining somewhere you feel is currently under construction. The new decor was very gaudy, almost Atlantic City-esque. My father and I both ordered the French onion soup for an appetizer, which was probably the best part of the meal. For steaks, he ordered the Filet Mignon and I ordered the Cajun rib eye. My rib eye was covered in juice and had a weird texture to it. My dad also commented that the texture of his filet was odd. We ordered onion rings and mashed potatoes as sides, which are both usually very good. The onion rings weren't even ready when our food came out, and my dad already finished his meal by the time they were ready. They claimed that the fryers had not been started in time. When it came time for dessert, I ordered the carrot cake and he got the creme brulee and coffee. The desserts were delicious but his coffee wasn't fresh and it was cold. They made a new pot once he mentioned it, but that took another couple of minutes. All in all, service was extremely slow and disappointing. The person below me commented that it is no longer an "experience" dining here, and they are absolutely correct. We decided that next time, we'd rather try the Ruth's Chris across the street, or make the trip down to Georgetown. They comped the onion rings and one of my dad's cocktails to make up for it, but the damage was already done. For a meal that cost almost $200, it was definitely not worth it.

Best steaks, oysters, king crab legs... And martinis... You have to try the lava chocolate cake for dessert... Enjoy.

Six people six great steaks. Service was top notch. Shrimp appetizers so good. Sides dishes we all shared all excellent. Lava cakes great too. Expensive? Yep! But for our family and a special birthday dinner was well worth it.

Love the bar, tried the hamburger and fries delicious. And a great doggy bag for later. I like the clientele upscale and professional couples who hire a baby sitter. Everything is good here the atmosphere, the service, the products the best food, service and value.Several couples on first dates. Also, employee morale is very high, down right refreshing. In their mission statement every employee is treated among-st his or her colleges whether a dish washer or waiter with the highest positive regard. Everyone goes out of their way to please, the clientele. I forgot my reading glasses they read the menu to you. Needed to find the ladies room a nice lady walked me their, from Morton's staff. At nights end, embarrassingly, I had left the house with $300, made a few stops payed my PEPCO bill and came up $20 short at Mortons. I was mortified,in a good way. They let me come back and shore up my account the following day. Think Congressional Country Club on steroids. And no 157k a year fee.

Wow. Morton's is amazing. I have been pretty stressed about work lately and the boyfriend wanted to treat me to a nice dinner a few weeks ago, and he surprised me by bringing me here. Holy mother of God. It was so delicious. It took me more than 30 years to get here, but it was oh so worth the wait. I had the "smaller" NY strip steak, and it was cooked to perfection. I have never had better steak in my entire life. My boyfriend had the Chicken Christopher, which was also delicious. Since the sides are a la carte, we just got one--the hash browns, which were crispy and great. I had the Morton's Mojito, which had pomegranate added to it, and that was amazing too. Morton's is definitely expensive (the smaller size steaks are around $50, and don't include anything else) but you get what you pay for. It was probably the best dinner I've ever had. Service is great too--they give you a presentation of the various steak cuts before you order, and the waiter was very attentive. I hope to be able to go back soon, once I save my pennies!

Two words.."Power Hour"! Yup, in case you didn't know, Morton's has an awesome happy hour. My g/f and I stayed at the Hyatt for New Years + an extra day. We were hungry and didn't feel like walking too far, not because we're lazy, but too hungover! Since Morton's is located right in the Hyatt we tried it out. To our surprise they had a late night HH called "Power Hour". We tried their lettuce wrap things, mini cheeseburgers, and chicken tenders. Everything was delish!! I can't really judge their steaks since we only the the late night menu, but if they are anything like their late night menu, I'm sure you'll be just as pleased.

Took advantage of a $45 3 course meal promotion and was not disappointed. The waiter, the concierge, everyone was really friendly. Kinda made up a story about it being a special anniversary and the staff took a picture, printed it out for free. The only dish not up to par with the rest of the other items are the salads. Plan to take home though, gigantic portions. For desert the warm apple with ice cream was amazing. The intricate detail taken to make a desert shaped from soft apple with liqueur tasted amazing even after a huge meal.

Bar Bites rule! If I could come here every week and just get the happy hour Bar Bites every time and not order cocktails without feeling like a cheapskate, I would. However, that would be impossible. My friend's Smirnoff (not Grey Goose or the like) Gimlet was $12.75. Ouch. My Sam Adams bottle was almost half of that at $7.50. I suppose alcohol is where they make up for the fantastic deals at HH. ALL their Bar Bites which normally range in price from $9-13 are only five bucks each! No ouch. Being that I am not a consumer of sliders (probably the most popular bite according to Yelp reviewers) I, along with my friend each ordered their trio of [micro] mini crab cakes. They were very tiny, but as a threesome almost equal to a normal -sized crabcake. They were delicious! Every tender, no-filler, sweet and chunky bit of them was savored in delight! We also shared the crab artichoke dip which was piping hot and served with an ample supply of Parmesan cheese toast slices. Both dishes are top notch as expected from a top notch restaurant. i felt a little out of my element here with all the business men in their suits eating lobster tail and sipping $15.00 martinis. I like martinis, especially the $4 ones at Matchbox's HH. ***Here is the biggest tip you'll get from reading my review: Don't pay $6 to have them valet park your car. Don't self park and have them validate your card for $3. Park across the street (literally across at the corner of Montgomery Ave. and Wisconsin) in the county lot. The lot is always empty, especially short term on the lower decks. For two hours of HH celebrating you'll shell out only $1.50. You'll need to save your pennies to afford their not-so-cheap vodka gimlets and the like.

I preface this review by saying I am not really a huge meat eater but the guys all seem to be!!! So I have been to Morton's several times by default. I would normally be wary of chain restaurants but there is a reason Morton's is so popular.....they rock!! On my most recent visit we arrived early for our reservation but they were able to squeeze us in and we got a great table to boot. We were met by our extremely competent and friendly waiter bearing a gorgeous hot-out-the-oven loaf of onion bread. My dining companion (DC) does not like bread (??) so I got the warm fluffy deliciousness all to myself (!!) We ordered clams casino for an appetizer, which was a new dish for me, and it was rather tasty and fresh with bell peppers and lemon. Being the indecisive gemini that I am, I was finally able to narrow my entree down to the mixed grill consisting of petite filet, three grilled shrimp and two bacon wrapped scallops. The steak was super tender and cooked exactly medium rare as I ordered it. The shrimp and scallops were large, sweet, and also cooked perfectly. It also came with some yummy fresh grilled asparagus. DC got the cajun rubbed ribeye which was perfectly marbled and monstrously big. DC said it was the best restaurant steak he had ever had, which is saying a lot because he pretty much orders steak every time we go out to eat. He very nicely gave me two bites of his and it literally melted in my mouth. Anything with the word cajun and I think super spicey but it was just the right amount of zip and the little crispy blackened fat bits were AWESOME. I longingly stared at his rapidly emptying plate, then I realized my steak was also delicious (if no crispy fat bits) and besides I got bacon!! Touche! We also shared sauteed spinach, which was garlicky and delicious and horseradish mashed potatoes, which were a bit spicey but not over the top. What a feast!!! Desserts looked so tempting, but we were just too stuffed. Maybe next time....and there will be a next time! Pricey? Yes. Worth every penny? Yes!

Morton's is fancy and expensive - drink prices are really high, even during Happy Hour. Also, the restaurant is really, really dark. I'm assuming that's the look they're going for, but my eyes have a hard time adjusting to the lack of light. I feel like a stumbling drunk every time I go to the restroom. That being said, the food (or what I've had of it) is really, really good. It has to be for the price, right? I've had the filet mignon sliders, which were sooo delicious! My mouth is actually water now just thinking about them! The meat was tender and flavorful and juicy! I've also had the oysters, which were huge, fresh, crisp, and clean. Definitely not a place I'd go on a weekly basis, but I think it's definitely worth a very rare trip on a special night out in Bethesda.

Another old school location but darn it, we enjoy our aged cuts and Morton's of Bethesda is another place to experience. I believe the hubs normally reserves a few days in advance. In addition, they offer valet parking. The attire is suggested to be more business or casual/dressy. The hubs ordered his usual tuna tartare as his appetizer and I must say that even I enjoyed a few modest bites. I am still trying sashimi so I was amazed that I accepted more samplings of this dish. I had the traditional side caesar salad w/no cheese (I have a problem with dairy... still will consume but pay for it later hehe). Sometimes I want the basics and the caesar fit the bill. And no surprise, I order my comfort cut... the filet mignon but the 'smaller' version which is the single cut filet mignon (medium rare). The side dishes are to be shared and they are comfort side dishes. The desserts range from healthy/fresh all the way to sinfully rich. And I chose the latter when I had to try the Morton's legendary hot chocolate cake. The taste lingered for days... yes.

The Mortons here was fine. but hardly up to the chain's standards in terms of taste and preparation. The steaks and side dishes lacked flavor...as if they were rationing the seasonings and butter. I've eaten at other Mortons before and been impressed...but this was mediocre at best. Go to Ruth's Chris down the street instead. That chain never disappoints in any city I've been to.

Oh yum.. Morton's. I will preface this review by saying I am not a big red meat-eater, and as such, I have never had their steak. I typically do not go to steakhouses because I will search for their token chicken dish, only to be dismayed by the blandness.. 'roasted chicken au jus with an accompaniment of pommes." aka plain chicken with boxed idahoan mashed potatoes. Why are we chicken eaters always left by the wayside? Oh but NOT at Morton's.... Chicken Christopher.. how I still dream of it. Hands down one of the best chicken dishes I have EVER had at any restaurant. I don't even know what else to say about how delicious it was. Also went there for happy hour and was very impressed at their bar menu. Considering how pricey their menu is, the happy hour food was relatively well-priced and a good variety of choices. I can't remember what I got because, hey, this was 2 years ago, and the beer was steadily flowing... but I had no complaints. I miss you Mort. I miss you good.

We have this tradition in my family, that on new years eve we fill ourselves to the brim with meat/lobster and try to fight off the protein-induced coma. If we fall asleep before the ball drops, then meat wins. If we make it to see the new year, we win. This year we decided to try out Morton's in Bethesda. The restaurant itself doesn't have the most inviting atmosphere. It's a fancy restaurant but it looses some of its luster by being underneath the Hyatt. When you enter the restaurant, you are not really sure which door is the entrance... It is confusing. The baked 5 onion soup was very delicious and my GF's salad was fresh and crisp. I ordered a giant slab of prime rib and I was not disappointed. It was juicy, thick, and well seasoned (not over-seasoned). I also tried a bite of a filet and it was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Morton's takes a very simple approach to cooking their steaks and they let the quality of the meat do the talking. This was a refreshing change of pace from Ruth's Criss where the strategy is to drown everything in butter. All of our sides perfectly complimented our meal. The hashbrown fries were delicious as were the mashed potatoes and asparagus. Overall, a wonderful meal. So, were we able to fight off the food coma and make it to see the Ball drop for new years? No. You win this round, Morton's!

We selected Morton's for New Year's Eve dinner because we wanted a very special place for that night. We arrived for the 10:30 P.M. reservation and right away ordered our meal. First, the soup I ordered was terrible; it felt like I was drinking hot water so I did return it to the waitress. After another long hour of waiting for dinner, I requested to talk to the waitress to inquire about the time it was taking to serve the order; she ignored my call and never made an attempt to explain why the order was taking so long. Meanwhile, we just drank water and more water. I kept calling the waitress and she just kept ignoring me. It took 1.5 hours for the dinner to be served, which we did not eat. The manager came to our table and explained that the waitress should have escalated to him the issue but she did not, so he was not aware of the situation, he said. The manager did not charge us for the dinner but we were charged for the side dishes what were not touched. The customer service was just not there and that soup was just bad. Morton's need to train their waitress better and management needs to manage inexperience waitresses and get some customer services training. Wendy's does a better job treating customers and keeping them!! A terrible experience, just that. What a nightmare!

I've only gone here when I've stayed at the hyatt, but the service has always been nice and they have a late-night happy hour with food and wine deals. food has always been good, though not amazing (and if I was paying full price off of the normal menu I would have been disappointed). I must admit that I haven't ever tried the steak. I would go to Capital Grill or Ruth's Chris before Morton's though, simply based on the food that I have tried. It's a better option than Daily Grill if you are staying at the Hyatt, though Morton's closes at 10, I believe, and the sub-par Daily Grill stays open an additional hour.

I know Morton's is supposed to be the "end-all, be-all" of steakdom, but I have to say I think Ruth's Chris is better. This particular Morton's is kind of a bland place - I felt like I was in a basement with bad lighting. Appetizers are okay, nothing to write home about, although I do like the chopped salad. The steak, a NY strip, was good, but a little more well done than I like, and didn't exhibit any particularly great flavor for the price. Side dishes were nothing special. The onion bread was dry, crumbly, and not so good. The raved-about "legendary" Hot Chocolate Cake? Just another version of the same molten lava dessert you can find at most chain restaurants. All said, I had a nice meal, but nothing earth-shattering, especially in view of the cost of the meal. We did have excellent service, however.

Great late night happy hour from 9-11, which includes petite filet mignon sandwiches, mini crab balls, and assorted other reasonably price items ($6 or $7). Great deals on cocktails, wines, and beer. They also have a nice selection of wines by the glass although they are more expensive. Another plus is the great bartenders!

EXQUISITE!! I was taken here for my anniversary with the BF last week. Ruth Chris has NOTHING and I mean NOTHING on Morton's! Service was absolutely impeccable. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with, "Happy Anniversary", our menus said "Happy Anniversary" and all staff ensured that we had just that. The atmosphere reminded me of Boardwalk Empire the new HBO series. I dunno why but it gave off a 1920s feel to me I loved that. The booth we were seated in was big enough for 6 and so very cozy and personable for 2. I loved it! I was very impressed with the visual/oral presentation of their menu done by the waiter. It displayed several cuts of beef, seafood options (lobster, crab legs, salmon, scallops, etc) and a veggie tray with the LARGEST Idaho potatoes I've ever seen, fresh asparagus, ripe plump tomato, broccoli and more. The presentation also included a display of their cold desserts. All food was made in a timely fashion. BF ordered the Porterhouse and I ordered the crab legs. Side dishes are for two; we went with the baked potato and broccoli. Let me first start by saying the sample that I tasted of BFs steak melted right in my mouth. So tender and juicy order medium well I was very impressed with how tender cut with no fat the steak was; crab legs were awesome. I could not finish them they had to be about 14in long. I def. recommend eating here especially for an important occasion cause they will add that special touch.

Friendly staff at this restaurant. This was my first trip to Morton's, it was okay. I ordered the mixed grill that came with 6 oz filet, 3 shrimp and 2 bacon wrapped scallops. The food was just okay, steak a little dry with very little flavor. I enjoyed the shrimp, and the scallops somewhat. I'd much sooner dine at ruths chris for the price of the food at morton's. It is not justified, but I can't say that everything else was all that bad. Friendly staff, nice perks like the printable menu and complimentary souffle because of our special occasion dinner. They took a pic and printed it out for us too. 5 dollar validated parking. If you can walk, just park across the street at the wavery place garage, free on the weekends.

I ate at this restaurant for the first time last week and it was awesome. I ordered the oysters on the halfshell to start wtih and had the porterhouse, broccoli and baked potato as well. I decided on the apple pie to finish this incredible meal. The waiter was friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere was just what I was looking for in a steakhouse. I also really liked how they don't have any specific dress code. I definitely will go back to this restaurant in the future. This might just have been the best steak I have ever had!

This review is for their Power Hour, aka Happy Hour, special in the bar area. The dining area by the bar isn't too big as you walk in and expect a darker lit room to set the mood. The bar itself can probably seat over a dozen people easily, plus some. So our server was prompt and of course we had to get some brews. Their beers aren't that cheap, as they run $5 each, but this is Morton's we're talking about. They don't have beers on tap, at least I didn't notice any right away. They also have some cocktail specials for $7 and under. Their food menu was $6 and under, depending on what you ordered and the selection was pretty nice too for bar bites type food. We ordered the prime cheeseburger sliders, BLT crabcakes, and the filet mignon sandwiches. The sliders were solid. The main attraction was seasoned well and flavorful, also still juicy. As for the BLT crabcakes, these were delicious and probably my favorite. Each cake had some nice lump meat it in and bacon!!! The filet sandwiches were a disappointment. Dry, bland, dry, and yeah, boring. The bread was vintage and I don't recommend these. Au jus please? Again, considering the prices and this being Morton's, I'll head back there one of these days. Maybe I'll just get their Prime Burger and fries for $15 and call it a night. The service was good, considering it was getting crowded towards 6:00 PM on the evening we went. I want to give it 4-stars but can't due to the disappointment in the filet mignon sandwiches. I mean this is a steakhouse.

There was this tuna tartare that I had there that was absolutely delicious. The steaks were average. Service is up there. The buggest discouragement was the price. But for quality of food, it is up there. I like the fact that most of there steaks are seasoned very basically (salt pepper) yet it retains that juiciness from the blood. It is on my top 10 steak places, but something still was missing, I wish I could pinpoint it. I did feel that this was a nice restaurant overall. Maybe it's the fact it's in a hotel that pushes it away. I know there are other locations which have a different environment (outside) But It's a chain...

***This ratings specifically for Morton's Bar 12-21*** Bar 12-21 offers the best of the main dining room's premium food and a more casual, friendly, and lively setting of a bar. At the bar, you can order from the regular menu or the bar menu which offers bargain gourmet dining during the Power Hours of 5:00-6:30pm and 9:30pm-close--EVERYDAY. Note that the Power Hour now include beverage specials. The ambiance is what you would expect in an high-end steakhouse (dark wood, dimly-lit, and elegant) but with a more buzzing atmosphere and a big plasma TV for ESPN. Led by Tudor, the service, is professional as in the dining room but more personal, friendly, and light-hearted. I have had the food in the main dining room, and can attest to the quality ingredients. However, I prefer the bar because I can have a greater variety without overindulging, which usually happens in steakhouses like Morton's that serve huge portions. Thus, I love the size of each bar bite--though only 2-3 plates per person and several colossal shrimp will satisfy a decent appetite. I have tried all bar bites and think they are all good. The following are my favorites I order almost every time: - Three Prime Mini-Cheeseburgers: Each mini is actually about 3 ounces (totaling 9 oz.!!!) of juicy, deeply flavorful beefiness. Combined with refreshing Roma tomato slice, Iceberg lettuce, and spicy purple onion, this burger reaches perfection on a tasty bun! Along with West End Bistro's burger, Morton's mini-cheeseburgers are the BEST BURGERS I have ever had! - Crab+Artichoke Dip with Parmesan Toasts: Served in a hot ramekin, this creamy dreamy dish warms the palate (sometimes sear :-P) and soothes the soul. Normally, I am not a big fan of seafood being combined with mayonnaise. However, this dish would be an exception. The dip is absolutely divine--the artichokes have a bit of tang, the jumbo lump crab and onions offers natural sweetness, celery bits add spice, and the toasts bring a nice crunch for texture. - Colossal Shrimp Cocktail: Very fresh, these beauties are definitely colossal, requiring 4-5 bites each to enjoy with nicely spicy cocktail sauce. I like to eat them right down to their tail. They are a good value at $1.75 each. I am usually not a fan of bars because I prioritize eating above drinking alcohol, which is why I love Morton's Bar 12-21 for its gourmet takes on American comfort food.

I went here with a few friends for a business meeting and we all got the filet mignon. How is it that all of ours came out blood raw when we asked for medium and medium rare? Everything we had from the steak, to the dessert was disappointing. I've been to other Morton's, and this was pretty much the worst of them all. Seriously, a steak dinner from Outback would've been 10x better.

Fantastic food that's complimented by solid service. The best place in DC to get a steak. I know going in that I'm going to be spending a good amount of money, but I've never been disappointed. Double-cut filet is exceptional, as expected. The creamed spinach is perfect. My left ventricle doesn't thank me, but whatever, it's worth it. The bar bites are great when you don't want to go to the dining room, so don't overlook that gem.

Just another steakouse in the chain. I'm really not impressed with what you get here for $60. I'd always prefer a nice cut form whole foods cooked myself on the grill. Environment inside is dark and stuffy (standard steakhouse).

Excellent dining experience! We went on a Monday night and received the same attention and service I would expect on a weekend night. Our server was great, just the right attentiveness. Our steaks, drinks and desserts were excellent. The option of ordering our steaks rare plus was absolutely perfect. That is not on the menu, but our server suggested it. We had also arrived early and waited at the bar for the dining room to open. Carlo, the bartender, was not only helpful but super nice too. He even made a drink for us that had been taken off the menu for winter, but he hunted around for the ingredients. After we were done already checked out he gave us a sample taste of a special brew Morton's was working on. We can not wait to go back. I think this has become our new staple restaurant. Glad to know that Morton's lives up to it's reputation and hype. We will return.
This is why I need to stop hanging out with people. I should just go into seclusion and live as a hermit until I can see my abs! I have absolutely no willpower to resist the lure of food when it's suggested by others. Especially when that food consists of a trio of perfectly done Morton's miniburgers for $5 during their second happy hour "Bar Bites" each evening. Yes - they have two happy hours! That's twice the opportunity to ingest delicious, moist, tender, still pink-in-the-middle, squirt-beef-juice-when-you-bite-into-them miniburgers of pseudo-orgasmic culinary pleasure. Like PC mentioned, this place looks like it's been redone, because the bar area is super snazzy and upscale. We came here late on a Friday evening and the clientele appeared to be more of an older crowd - the conservatively-suited men and women of the DC metro area - you know what I mean. I wouldn't have been surprised if we were the youngest customers there by a decade. Anyway, kudos to our witty, classy waitress that hooked me up with an Irish coffee (which I obviously 1) needed because it was COLD and wet outside and 2) totally didn't need because I was still hammered from the Manhattan I had at dinner three hours earlier). She also got Xi a Grasshopper (which she also needed/didn't need for similar reasons) before we put in our orders for oysters and miniburgers. I can't comment on the oysters, and you already know my feelings about the Morton's miniburgers, so I won't go back into my ravings about the virtues of their glory. Suffice it to say that as a second dinner, I'd be hard-pressed to turn down a trip to Morton's for Bar Bites Round II. So please, PLEASE don't ask me to go. I will hate you for it. And by "hate" I mean "love."

After finishing up a 3-course meal at David Craig, I brought up that it was going to be 9:30 by the time we got back to Tyson's so Kevin L. could get his car. I was like "you know what 9:30 means..." to which Karman L. chimed in "Morton's happy hour!". Collectively, we were like " mini-burgers and oysters!!". We gps'ed the closest Morton's and I was reminded that there was a Morton's in Bethesda. We confirmed that they have the Bar Bites menu ($5 plate specials) which starts back up at 9:30. This group has no will power - we were all stuffed and we were still going for more food! I L.O.V.E. the bar in the Bethesda location. It's part of the Bar 12-21 concept - it's not at every Morton's and the first one I've been to. If you've been to the bars at Morton's, they are very stuffy and there is no attention to style or comfort. Bar 12-21 is the Morton's bar renovated to be hip and modern with plasma tv and comfy-er seating. It was busy and loud which was great because we were beyond rowdy. Karman, Xi and I split two dozen oysters - for a $1.50/oyster could we resist? Kevin had a plate of mini-burgers. There were a few drinks in there except for me because I was the responsible DD for the night. I like the vibe at this location and our waitress was really nice and cracking jokes. I would like to think that in the future I will go out of my way to come to this location over the ones in Tysons' and Farragut North. There was no smoking either!

3/15/08 Update: The bar bites menu is KILLER. Do it. This is my go-to spot if I'm in Bethesda past 9:30. * * * Original 1/31/08 review: I'm surprised no one else has reviewed this location of Morton's! I feel a little inadequate to be the only opinion here, but for what it's worth...I like it! But I think I like Ruth's Chris better. I may be falling for their marking ploy, but I feel like it's just "cooler" at RC. I felt a little more relaxed at Ruth's Chris and I remember enjoying my steak a lot better at Ruth's. If you do go to Morton's, try the lemon souffle for dessert. It was unbelievably delicious and perfect. And please - someone else who's been here and knows steak better than me - review it so you can validate (or invalidate...) my rating! :)

I have learned not to judge restaurants based on Restaurant Week, so I will be brief. Steaks and sides dishes are better at Ruth Chris and prices are very similar. I won't be back to Morton's after a bland fillet which was way too charred.

We can here for drinks after the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation charity walk. After browsing for drinks in downtown Bethesda, we decided to head back to our hotel's restaurant. I bought drinks for everyone. One of the drinks was too strong. It tasted like pure vodka. You know the drinks are bad when the ladies don't like it. Samuel Adams in a bottle were decent. I wouldn't go there again.

I treated my dad to dinner here for Father's Day, and we both left with our bellies full and satisfied. The food was high quality and well prepared, as it should be at a restaurant of this caliber. The only thing that I could gripe about is the noise level in the dining room. For an upscale place, it can get loud. Morton's Bethesda offered a Father's Day special menu from which my dad ordered. He started with a house salad which was a variation of the lettuce wedge salad. I had some, and while it was good, there was nothing special about it. Next came his main course of a NY strip steak with a side of steamed asparagus and hollandaise sauce. I was sharing food with my dad, so I also tried some of his steak. It was about what I would expect from an upscale steakhouse: tender and delicious. The asparagus was also the same way, despite being quite large and thick. Finally, the dessert that my dad ordered was the house specialty, chocolate cake a la mode. It was warm, gooey and decadent, complemented nicely with the cold vanilla ice cream. I was already full when it arrived, but I went ahead and ate some anyway. It was a night of gluttony, what can I say? In addition to helping dad out with his special menu, I ordered some items of my own that were shared with the guest of honor. Off the menu, I had a full plate of Alaskan crab legs simply steamed and served with a lemon wedge and melted butter. The meat was nice and firm, and I definitely enjoyed it, except it could have been a just a tad bit sweeter. I couldn't resist ordering a side of onion rings to go with the crab legs. I know they aren't a typical accompaniment to crab, but I just felt like having some. The onion rings were delicious but not exceptional. Looking back, I should've skipped ordering them, as I was full to the point of being a bit uncomfortable after the meal. Overall, I think Morton's is a good solid upscale steakhouse, comparable to The Palm (at least the location in Washington DC). The food is of very high quality, and the service is very good, too. The atmosphere is traditional steakhouse with dark interior and dim lighting. The prices are high, so this is definitely a place to go when you are willing to splurge. If you want a place that is quiet and mellow, then I would not recommend coming here unless you happen to go on a slow night (mid-week maybe?). The place can get loud, but maybe it just happened to be louder than normal due to Father's Day.

Good steak cooked perfectly. Sides are good but very salty. Bread is way too big...chocolate mouse is very good.I'll go back!

The bar area (called Bar 1221) serves up "bar bites" from 5-6:30 pm for happy hour, along with a couple of drink specials. The mini filet sandwiches were great! As a young professional, eating a full meal at Morton's just isn't in the cards for me yet...

Still a good place to eat steaks, you cant go wrong at Morton's. I had a great dinner last night.

Oh dear, oh dear. First, let me start by saying that I do love Morton's - generally. I have dined at 2 DC locations, and the Chicago location. I've also dined at the Bethesda, MD location - several times. I've hosted several corporate parties in DC, and have been a longtime Morton's customer. However, after my New Year's Eve dining experience - I don't think that will be happening again, at least, not in Bethesda. I made a 9:30 pm reservation for 4 people. We arrived at 9:25 pm and were told by the hostess that "you have 8 tables in front of you - I don't know how long it will take to be seated". OK - I get it, it's NYE, but, I made a reservation to NOT have to wait for the walk in's. My husband asked to speak with a Manager and was told by the hostess that "he's busy - it's NYE". Well duh. Not sure if it was because of our bitching, but we did get seated about 10 minutes later. So - seated at 9:40 pm, we ordered our first round of drinks from waiter #1. Easy enough. 10:00 pm - Waiter #2 comes around and asks us if we would like drinks. We reply that we have drinks and we'd like the meat selections and menus so we could order. 10:30 pm (yes folks - 30 minutes later), Waitress #3 comes around with the menus and meat visual selections. 10:50 pm - Appetizers come; 11:00 pm - Salads come. 11:45 pm - Entrees come...well...you guessed it, after 2 hours plus, we missed watching the ball drop, missed being out at a bar to partake in any NYE activities. We wrapped up dessert and were out of Morton's at 12:35 am - after a 3 hour dinner. The most frustrating part - the place wasn't that busy. By 10:30 pm, there were several empty tables, and we watched several tables come and go while we were there. Several tables that were seated after us received their entrees before we received our salads. Not sure what the issue was, and can't chalk that up to NYE. The good parts - the filet, as is always the case - was delish. Tried the brussel sprouts for the first time - the are a must. Of course, old, reliable creamed spinach was excellent. Good thing we were with good friends, otherwise we could never endure a 3 hour dining experience.

Not sure if they are still doing the two for dinner special, but if they are it's a must for a special night out. Two salads, two steaks, two sides, and two desserts for $99 or $109. We went for our 3 year anniversary a few months ago. We will be back!

Morton's in Bethesda has one of the best bars in the area and their happy hour is terrific. Carlos, Steve, Megan, and Allison are great bartenders and make everyone feel welcome. I strongly recommend the crabcake BLTs and the filet sandwiches.

the prime rib was really good, i got an almost 2 inch cut which was actually a lot. the service was excellent, food arrives about the time you would expect it, but its quite expensive so i wouldnt eat here very often. aside that, everything else was good. its good for dinner parties if youre willing to spend an amount of cash for a well-cooked meat.

I love going here. It's my favorite steak house. The food is always great and the servers are friendly. They never rush you here and make you feel welcome. The steak is made the way you order it and the drinks are great. I been there for dinner and for their HH. The HH is great. Plenty of choices for food and drinks. Love to go there all the time but it can get expensive.

I have been to few Morton's and the quality of the steak is just awesome. I usually get the double porterhouse for 2 to share. This time, we also order lobster tail as well as baked potato for the side. Everything turned out perfect. You can taste the sweetness of the potato. The chocolate sufflet was awesome too. The lightest sufflet I have ever had.

As a disclaimer for this particular review, it was a free meal for a private party; so the cost played no sort of part in shaping my opinion of the place. Starting with the staff; everybody from the woman at coat check to the waiters and hosts were perfectly polite and professional. Very kind; as quick as they could be and really, hardly a foul-up/mix-up with any orders, as far as I could tell. For starters, we had a simple cesar salad. It was very good. And it tastes like one is actually supposed to taste like. You could actually taste the pureed anchovy in the dressing, which is rare nowadays. Odd, but it's true. They left a sizable mound of onion bread and butter on the table for us to carve. The bread was very good. Warm, fresh and an excellent side to hold our stomachs over until the main courses arrived. I had the fillet mignon, cooked medium rare. When it came, it was cooked perfectly. Nice and pink, but without being TOO bloody. A bit of moderation that can be hard to achieve when ordering medium rare. It arrived with a hollandaise sauce and a nice bearnaise each to pair with the meat and vegetables. Nice touch. The vegetable that came with the fillet mignon was... quite possibly the largest bushel of broccoli I've ever seen on my plate in my life. Haha. It was good though, regardless of the fact that it was bigger than my own head. For desert, it was the cheesecake. My girlfriend had the double chocolate mousse. What can I say? The cheesecake was well made, so it was delicious. I tried a couple spoon-fulls of the double chocolate mousse and can say it was also very good. Rich and smooth, but not too rich, nor too fluffy. Coffee afterwords was lovely. All in all, I'd surely return.

Morton's has a small bar called 1221 that is great. As others have mentioned on this site, the second happy hour prices are very inexpensive. Well, the first happy hour prices are just as good and are right around dinner time. Most itmes on the menu are between $5 and $8 and there are drink specials. This is a must for those looking for a nice happy hour or late snack-like dinner at a nice establishment with cheaper prices.

Great service and ambiance. The ribeye and porterhouse steaks were cooked to perfection, and the sides big enough for two to share. What was surprising was that both steaks were still excellent the next day! A great place to go for a special occasion.

Great steak. Great service. I could care less that it's a chain instead of a local place; this is where I would go for a good steak.

Dont get me wrong, the filet was great but for the price I expected to be blown away, which I was not. The crabcake was good but I have had better cakes on the shore for half the price. Service was VERY good and the environment was nice and professional. Best part of the meal was the mashed potatoes. 3.5 star.

I returned with some friends last week (not my decision) and was disappointed once again. The food and service were excellent but the General Manager's attitude ruined the experience. A young man named John (assistant manager?) certainly tried to salvage the situation but the damage was done. Neither I nor my friends will return until this restaurant has a change of leadership.

Me and the Mrs. went there last night for dinner. As soon as we were seated a BIG loaf of garlic bread came out. I ordered a ribeye while the wife opted for a filet mignon. We both asked to cook it medium. Mine came out perfect whereas the wife's steak was well done. Such a disappointment since I was told before the steak went out that they had to cook a new one for me since they overcooked it. If they fixed my steak before sending it out then why did they not checked the one for my wife. Our waiter Ali was apologetic when we showed him the filet mignon. While waiting for my wife's new steak to be cooked the maitre d stopped by and offered us comp appetizers. We politely declined since we didn't want to be too full before we finish our steaks. When it was dessert time the maitre d came back and offered us complimentary dessert drinks. Service was stellar in the front, not so much from the kitchen. I would rate it 3.5 stars overall.

Little ashamed to give a chain restaurant 5 stars, but damn it was probably the best steak I've had in my life easily topping the filet at Smith and Wollenski back in Boston a few years back. By going to Bethesda restaurant week, the meal was also under $40. Arriving at the restaurant the service was very attentive taking our coats, seating us, and getting us water refills and warm bread. The menu presentation was quick impressive with a citation of various cuts of beef, sides, and seafood. For the salad we both got the Morton's salad though solely for not wanting to get a Caesar salad. A little disappointing as we ordered teh blue cheese dressing on teh side and the salad basically became chopped letuce with chopped hard boiled eggs and anchovies. The anchovies absolutely destroyed my mouth with it's saltiness as I was not accustomed or expecting. Moving on to the steak, The steak arrived medium rare with a nice seared crust and juciy red center that melted in my mouth. It also came with a butter sauce and side (mashed potatoes for me). The potatoes were delicious restaurant style crammed with cream and butter. So unhealthy, but amazing at the same time. For dessert I ordered the creme brulee which was a nice end to a great steak dinner. Next time, I'll definitely be hitting up that happy hour menu.

Tonight we ride... right outta here I was thrilled when I heard my wife's company Christmas party was being held at Morton's. I've heard great things about the events they can throw, and have been to more than a few corporate luncheon events hosted by said company. So we show up at the Bethesda location only to find out that 'our' event is being held in the atrium of the Hyatt Regency. OK, I can roll with this. The air is clean, the noise level is diminished... and there's a small Christmas tree in the middle of the area. We arrived at the scheduled start time - 6 PM. The tables were set, but the staff was still figuring out where to put the bar... 20 minutes later they started serving wine. Ok, now we're rolling. Appetizers came out about 15 minutes later... baby lamb chops to die for, semi-authentic bruschetta and baby crab cakes that never made it past the clutch of 'hotties' that the waiters couldn't stop drooling over. So there we were, sipping our wines (Mondavi Chardonnay and what I was told was a Pinot Noir... possibly the worst offering I've ever had at a premier steakhouse) and waiting... and waiting. About 8 (remember, this was supposed to be a cocktail HOUR) our hostess suggested we start finding tables. Great, now comes the dinner! No... not exactly. As we sat swilling our cheap wine, someone decided to set up an AV rig. Yeah, let's hear some tunes now that it's DINNER TIME... never mind the fact that it would have been WAY more appropriate for cocktail hour(s). And, the best part... all they had was a "Morton's Steak House" Greatest Hits CD. Apparently some genius at the top of this empire decided that we should hear hits such as "Thank You For Being A Friend" and other shlock. And they supposedly put the bread on your table to make you lose your appetite. We spent 15 minutes calling out "bad" songs at our table before the novelty wore off. This CD played (I kid you not) for 3 revolutions before someone finally said something to the staff (along the lines of "Don't you have ANYTHING more relevant?)... They suggested plugging in someone's iPod... (way to go Event Planner). This resulted in a mad scramble by the staff to produce a patch cord which was eventually found, and then, viola... some music. About this time (we're talking 2 hours into the event) someone decides to set up a microphone (presumably so that speeches can be made... Forgive me for seeming a bit anal here, but shouldn't all of this been set up BEFORE THE EVENT STARTED??? So we have a couple of speeches as the salads are being brought out - by 3 (maybe 4) waiters. To serve 40 people. Want to know how long THAT took? (count by 5s and don't stop till you get past 30). Now I'll grant you, this IS a FREE meal, but for chrissake, my love and I got all gussied up and drove almost an hour to get to this place thickening we were going to have a nice dining experience. Instead we witnessed the downfall of service in America. From the beer-bellied waiter that couldn't pry himself away from the gaggle of 'hotties' whenever he walked out with a platter of crabcakes (they were good, but I personally watched him stand there while these 5 bitches devoured at least 20 all by themselves, to the lame timing, and the sucky wine... geez... By the time they finally got around to serving our table we were DONE. Adios, amigo, I don't care how fucking good your steak is, we're outta here. So, in the end I think Morton's totally screwed the pooch, but the one who gets the golden spike for hitting the TFU mark is the 'Event Planner' who set this whole thing up. This loser sat at my table and treated every inconvenience that came up as just another thing that 'we' had to deal with. I'm sorry, but I've worked with professionals (Thankyou "Q") and know how things are supposed to happen. Bottom line - maybe eat at Morton's Bethesda, but if you run an event there, you better KNOW what you're doing, cause they're not going to help you out much.

(4)Phi N.

I love splurging at a steakhouse every so often. This time, we had a girls night out to celebrate a friend being in town. We were greeted promptly and the staff were super nice. After being shown to our table, we ordered cocktails and were given some of the onion bread I always look forward to. We decided to split a house chopped salad - OMG delicious! Honestly, I think I'd come back just for this. Bacon, egg, avocado, red onion, and huge chunks of blue cheese, all in a great dressing. Yum! After that, my perfectly cooked medium rare filet. So yummy. So tender. So meaty! My friend's filet was unfortunately closer to rate than medium rare, but she survived. We ordered sautéed Brussels sprouts (skip those - only ok) and au gratin potatoes (get them! Now! Nom nom nom!) and enjoyed just about every minute of our dinner. To end, we shared a grand marnier soufflé. I kind of wish we had picked something else. It didn't really taste of anything except eggs and air. But it was a fun way to end the meal. I nearly had to be rolled out of there. Parking was also easy. there is a super cheap county lot within a five minute walk.

PS: gents - you probably should too put some effort to look sharp. ;)

Tonight, my boyfriend and I came to Morton's to celebrate both of our birthdays as well as our two month anniversary. The service was outstanding as our server was attentive, offered suggestions, and cleaned up crumbs and replaced utensils in between courses. For drinks, we wanted something sweet and bubbly so we settled on a bottle of Moscato D'Asti. For appetizers, we decided to share a Baked Prime Ocean Platter, which was $26 a person. This platter consisted of 2 of each of the following: Sea Scallops Wrapped with Bacon, Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, Oyster Rockefeller, and Jumbo Shrimp Alexander. The pan seared sea scallops were tender but we felt that the bacon could have been crispier. We didn't like the Apple Chutney that went with them. The crab cakes were delicious. We liked how they had large pieces of crab meats and no bread crumb fillers. The oyster rockefeller consisted of baked oyster in a shell topped with herbs, spinach, and cheese. We weren't big fans of the Oyster Rockefeller as they had a strange flavor. We loved the Shrimp Alexander, which consisted of seasoned and grilled jumbo shrimp and served with a creamy white sauce. For entrees, we got an 8oz Center Cut Filet Mignon cooked to medium rare plus. We also got the Shrimp Scampi Capellini which consisted of capellini, spinach, diced tomatoes, and pine nuts cooked in a garlicky white wine sauce. We loved how the scampi wasn't buttery! We ended our meal with a Grand Mariner flavored Birthday Soufflé. It was a light dessert. However, the Grand Mariner and orange zest combination was off, making parts of the soufflé bitter. It was nice for the restaurant to make it a personalized experience with personable menus and photo keepsakes!

Great dinner at the bar - full menu - good service

(1)Georgio S.
This place has gone down hill. Went with the family for a birthday dinner and regretted not going elsewhere. Nothing that we ordered really stood out. The steaks were not cooked to order and lacked true flavor or quality. My bone in ribeye for example was tough and lacked any seasoning. I would of preferred cooking my own steak from Costco. Thank god for the truffle butter or it wouldn't go down. The desserts were not good at all. The soufflé smelled of egg and tasted horrible. I will never return.
(2)Serena L.
(1)Gerry B.

(5)Stephanie W.
(2)Dave M.
Loved it.
(5)Terrell L.
One of my favorite places to eat. Great ambiance, delicious steaks and seafood, definitely a 5 star place. i would recommend to anyone!
(5)Joannie B.

(2)Mike B.
I really wanted to like it more....Could be the particular location. Was not too impressed for the price paid. Server was real nice though and made the experience a postive one. Probably would seek other options if I am in the mood for a steak at this price point.
(3)Oliver T.

Excellent experience for our bi-annual board meeting. Especially want to thank Martha K. Beckler for making it happen for us. Her email is: MarthaKBeckler@ldry.com

I've been a long time patron (and VIP) and am extremely disappointed with the direction it's taken since being taken over by another restaurant group. Strange how the prices haven't changed while the quality has plummeted. Only upside is the good people that work the bar. I so miss the old school Morton's.
(2)Ella T.
(3)Lauren P.
(3)W L.
(3)Jack H.

Went here for a birthday. The food was Amazing! The atmosphere was awesome. Will be coming back!

(5)Bill H.
(4)Jay B.
(4)Greg P.
(3)Daniel D.
This Morton's always does a great job - whether at the bar or at the dining room. We love this Morton's because it's always reliable and the staff, competent and friendly.
(5)Michael Q.
(2)Candice H.
The service was great. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. The food was just ok and it was really expensive. Had it been a little better, I would have given it more stars. I loved: - crabcake appetizer - chocolate cake

(5)A. J.
(1)Nicole L.

(5)Good E.
overall I would say it wasn't a great experience.
(3)Kenneth P.
Morton's has always been the place to go for impeccable service and great food. The steaks are always fantastic and the salads / sides are huge...so keep in mind that sharing is a good thing.
(5)Victoria K.

Probably the best (and most expensive) steak I've ever had!

Great steak and wine list. Worth the hit on your wallet. Great service.

The taste lingered for days... yes.
(4)Lee G.
(2)Sara U.
Oh yum..

(3)Barbara B.

(3)Harvey D.
(5)Pete D.
(3)Shine S.

It's gone down hill. Used to be great, but now is corporate owned and ruined. Never agin. Palm, here I come....

(1)Mike M.
(5)Cy K.
Just another steakouse in the chain. I'm really not impressed with what you get here for $60. I'd always prefer a nice cut form whole foods cooked myself on the grill. Environment inside is dark and stuffy (standard steakhouse).
(3)Carrie S.

We ordered from the from the savory summer menu which included appetizers, salad, entree, side and dessert for $50 which isn't bad. The ahi tuna tower appetizer was ok. Not too much tuna and a lot more crunch than would be desired. Prosciutto wrapped mozzarella was good. Morton's salad is always good but looks they put the anchovy on that instead of their Caesar salad now which was a little disappointing. Both salads were not bad though. 6oz. Filet mignon was good. The salmon was good as well (moist and not overcooked like most places), came with a nice vegetable medley. The soufflé for dessert was a disaster, quite deflated and a little burnt, completely dry from the inside. It came with whipped cream instead of sauce. Key lime pie was delicious. Cocktails were made well and cappuccino was delicious. Overall an ok experience. Capital Grille and Ruth's Chris are definitely better overall.
