Always go to Ledos, no complaints. Love the pizza, always good service. Quick and easy. Today at this location, for some reason I was given trouble bc I wanted to substitute and ingredient AND it turned out I was charged extra for it. Have the petty $1.25 just know I've crossed this location off my list. The definition of bad business right there. Since I am now waiting on my pizza to be RE-DONE bc oh guess what, they got that wrong too, I'll add that to my review. Not to mention the mozz stick and ravioli I also got will now be cold when I get home bc I had to wait so long. Never EVER again. "Let me give you a credit for next time" NO get it right now bc there wont be a next time. Keep your credit. Period. Update: the pizza came out wrong the second time as well. Waited a bit longer and they finally got it right the third time. Incredible. I will say this though. The guy trying to make it right was very apologetic but it was a lost cause at that point. I just wanted to get outta there asap.

Oh Ledo's, how I love thee. Thy ability to remain a casual,no-frills pizza chain that maintains a family business image. Thy pizza crusts so thin and toast as I seek thee out without burning my fingertips off by going for the middle piece. Thy thoughtfulness of serving beer while I waiteth for my order. Here Endeth my summary of all I love about Ledo's. It's a classic, you've gotta try their pizza. I can't speak for the other sauces but I love the ordinary ledo pizza sauce. Perfect topped with Siracha. Great selection of sizes for pizza, large entree portions for families to share, friendly staff of locals. I grew up eating Ledo's because they are more than just a takeout pizza place and casual enough to come with the fam in pajamas (bringing a wad of mail to go through as I've seen some patrons do). Only downside is some toppings can be a little undercooked on some of the pizzas I've ordered. Also, they forgot to cut my pizza last time. :( In any case, when I'm ordering pizza for a lazy evening or football games, I always go with Ledo's. It's much easier to portion control with their smaller slices and thinner crusts. Plus, you can grab a draft while you're waiting for your pizza to cook because this place offers beer and wine! Woohoo!

I've visited Ledo's/Bethesda several time. This is my first review. Visited (4/26/15) the sausage, onion & extra cheese pizza arrived @my table piping hot. Delicious tender, buttery crust, fresh cheese & red onion. Good service. Nice neighborhood place.

There are many restaurants in the Ledo Pizza franchise. The West Lake Drive is my favorite. The pizza and service are always top notch. Ledo's ability to deal with children in a restaurant setting, another 4 stars. Our waiter came to the table with a fun placemat to color and crayons. That helped to keep my granddaughter busy until our pizza arrived. He was also quick with the drinks, diet coke with lemon and lemonade. The lemonade was served in a colorful plastic tumbler that kids can take home with them. That is another plus for kid friendly. My salad is one that I order all the time, it is the Italian salad. It has mozzarella cheese, Italian salami, pepperoni, black olives, carrots, salad greens, and tomatoes. The salad was freshly made and large in size. There was way too much dressing on the salad. Now, don't get me wrong, the dressing is delicious, but less than a gallon on your salad is preferable. The pizza was delicious. It has plenty of hot melted cheese and crispy thin dough baked to perfection. The sauce is full of chunky sweet tomatoes that have been blended with a variety of italian spices. There were large chunks of cooked chicken served on half of our pizza(the way we requested). The waiter was attentive and pleasant. Truly, it was my fault that I didn't send back the salad and ask for one with dressing on the side. But, when your accompanied by a four year old, every moment counts. Next time, I will remember that and ask for my own placemat to color. Ledo's Pizza has been around for a long time and their pizza is a favorite of my family.

This is my favorite place to eat in the whole world!! This is my hometown and every time I come home I eat here (and have been since high school). Occasionally I want to take some out of state with me but I don't think it would travel well. Haha. The pizzas are delicious and taste like God food. I'm pretty boring and always get the same thing: personal cheese pizza, but I've never tasted anything like it. I've asked for the recipe if you times but I don't think I get it right anyway. If you love pizza this is the place for you.

I love Ledo's! I've been coming to this pizza place since elementary school. They have recently changed up there menu which is pretty cool I love there thin crust and the pizza sauce. It's really flavorful. I Wish they had a place on the West coast.

Ledo Pizza is definitely my favorite pizza. There sauce is awesome... I always request a cup of sauce to dip pizza crust in. If you order over phone for pickup make sure to check that order was correct. Got wrong stuff a couple times but they corrected it no problem.

We came here after eating laffa wraps at Roti. We were still hungry. We got this joint to go and told them don't even plate it. We ordered a medium vegan pizza, which came with onions, jalapeños, eggplant, tomatoes, and something else. It was pretty spicy. I liked it. I told the two cashiers that per pizza slice, the medium size is cheaper than the large size. I couldn't figure out what corporate management is thinking in their price scheme. Slices of medium pizza cost $0.4495 per slice. (It's $8.99 for a medium cheese pizza, which includes 20 slices (they don't cut corners--the pizza is in the shape of a rectangle)). Slices of large pizza cost $0.466333 per slice. (It's $13.99 for a large cheese pizza, which includes 30 slices). If you order a large pizza as opposed to a medium pizza, you are paying 1.68333 cents more per slice! If you order one large pizza per day, on average 365 days per year, and if you continue to do so for 20 years, you are losing $3685.50!

Great food. The bacon pizza is a guy's dream come true. The buffalo wings are succulent and flavorful. The services isn't great but who cares. I think I may stop there tonight and get a pie. GOD, please let them start delivering. If you do, I will come to church every Sunday.

The Good: OMG, the best pizza !! Everything is good, from the fresh toppings, fresh mozzarella, sweet tomato sauce or crisp flaky thin crust. I can only find it on the east coast DC area. Great prices as well. The Bad: They need to open one in the OC. The Ben: Whenever I find myself in the DC area I always hit up a Ledo pizza once or twice. Try it and you'll thank me :D

The vegan pizza with avocados was awesome! Nice service (ordered a take out) although it took a little longer than expected for the pizza to be ready. Like the fact that they are open late, unlike most places. They also offer great ice cream, which is always a bonus in my opinion!

Ledos is awesome I love their pizza any kind of their pizza is good. This place is great for big groups and they have numerous tvs. The wait staff is always nice and friendly. My only complaints about ledos is their salads are awful it's just some lettuce with cucumbers and tomatoes thrown in. Also the walls and booths are really dirty and some of the booths are ripped. I definitely recommend ledos but if you go to ledos don't get a salad get a pizza.

I have had the pizza here many times, it is very rich and much more flavorful than the chain pizzerias. My main complaint is that boy it is very, very greasy. There is always a layer of grease on the wax paper it sits on in the box, and my hands are covered in it after every piece. Greasy pizza can be good, but it's soaked as though it was deep fried in fat. I'll pass.

pizza is my favorite food. For 5 years, I ate it 3-5 times a week (seriously). I've also been blessed to have eaten at pretty much all the well known places in Chicago and NY having traveled to those places regularly for work in the last two decades. This is a decent affordable 'go-to' place. The crust is flat and could use some more leavening IMO. Having one pepperoni per slice is a great idea. Kids can't argue who has the slice with more toppings. LOL Sauce is a bit too salty for my taste and the italian seasoning mix is a bit on the weak side in the sauce. Cheese is of decent quality and tastes good. The slices of pepperoni (my favorite topping) is thicker than the generic types found in other pizza joints. Service is quick, it's always moderately busy with families too. A decent price for a simple pizza. Quality of pizza: 7 Environment/cleanliness: 7 Service: 7. A good go too place for something quick and consistent. If they improved the crust, I'd be there a lot more

Besides the fact that my kids love the pizza, the manager is truly customer focused. I left a pair of sunglasses there, and I had no idea where I lost them. He took the time to figure out who I was and my phone number, based on my credit card, and tracked me down and not only returned my sunglasses, but went out of his way to drop them off at my house. Amazing customer service by the manager!!! I was truly amazed and astounded as most places wouldn't take the time to find the customer for an item left behind. Amazing!

I think my heart wants to punch me in the face for eating here, but it's a guilty pleasure. The crust might as well be pie crust. Hopefully they're not using lard. The sauce is really good. Sweet, but not too sweet. And yes, I put they're sinfully thick roni on this heart stopper of a pie also.

Juliana G.
Food is awesome but not too friendly. I ordered pizza and wings to go and at the last minute plans changed and I asked if I could change my order to dine in. I was told no way because it couldn't be changed and wasn't allowed to sit and eat. Wth!

Yum yum! I will happily go back. The crust is really thin, so I feel like I can overeat. The sauce IS really sweet, and really salty. What's not to like? Great service and great prices. I really wish they had coke, or at least better calibrated pepsi fountains.

I've been going to this Ledo's for several years now and have always liked their pizza. Like the other comments mention, the sauce is a little on the sweeter side...this means you need to work a little bit harder to choose the right toppings. If you do it properly, you'll get an awesome pizza. I usually get a vegetarian with bell peppers, olives, onions, and jalepenos. Pineapples and tomatoes make things way too sweet. The quality of the pizza seems to vary a lot based on location. The stuff coming out of the ovens here is a lot better than what I've had at the Rockville location...the Ledo's in Lexington Park is equally good though. It's not the best pizza in town, so don't go in expecting that. However, it IS priced competitively and has a better quality product than most other chains.

With some time to kill, I decided to stop in here. People spoke highly of the pizza. I had high hopes. Halfway thru waiting on my pizza then eating it, I had decided I'd give this place 3-Stars. It's deserved. It is A-OK. A-OK and just that. The place is nice and clean. The staff is young, but nice enough. Certainly a more upscale pizza place. With seating spread between two sections and flat screen TV's in one section, you certainly can feel comfortable here. TV's showed Soccer and Golf....OK, I'll give you that, considering the area. The pizza though was just OK. A-OK you could say. I got a small pepperoni pizza. It came back as a square (their personal touch) cut like a tick-tack-toe board with solid round slices of pepperoni on each section ( O's win I see...) It was alright. Thin crusted and tastier-than-average, I expected it would cost more than it did, which was something of a relief. But I just wasn't feeling it. Nice place now, but seeing all the families with kids and older folks you could see that this is the kind of place you bring the family to when you want to eat out casually for pizza that fits the appetites of kids and senior citizens. This is not for me though, but I wont begrudge them for this. So if you're looking for a nice, family spot to go to, by all means come here. Oh, one turn-off was the father who decided he liked the pizza so much he'd lick each finger on his hand individually with an obnoxious slurping sound. Seems he left his manners and tact at home. So I had my Ledo's experience. A-OK but not exactly my kinda thing. But if you got kids and ole folks you want to take out to eat, by all means come here ( but please don't lick your fingers!)

I feel guilty giving it one star. It's loud, dirty and the help is obnoxious. The food on the other hand was awful!

Some good some bad.... You have to choose your menu wisely. Some menus are really horrible such as specialty sandwiches..... And alway ask them for light sauce... It will help.

This is my "fancy" Ledo's Pizza. (Probably being so because my secondary Ledo Pizza on Rockville Pike is somewhat dingy.) I do have to say that I like this restaurant. I'm not pizza fan at all and rarely crave it, but theirs is actual quite good. Quality ingredients and their sweeter sauce almost puts their pies in line with other gourmet pizzas, but for a MUCH better price. I recommend the Spicy Pizza with Chorizo. A small is more than enough for a 1 person meal. Wings or a side salad in addition could easily make it 2 meals. The calzones and salads are also good choices.

Visited my Mom in MD this past weekend. She loves Ledo's so she requested a visit. I find their red pizza to be ok, but I didn't order any this past visit. My fiance did get a white pizza, which I thought was delicious. I would order that again. I got a calzone - the cheese wasn't fully melted inside but it was hot throughout, the crust was crisp, and plenty flavorful and chock full of ingredients. I didn't make a mess of myself eating it either. Bonus points for having beer on tap.

I've been carrying out from this Ledo's for years and it doesn't disappoint. Though I always get it with toppings, don't overdo it. Some pizzas are salvaged by toppings but Ledo's is one of the few places where their basic cheese pizza is delicious on its own. It can be a little pricey especially if you compare them to Dominos or Pizza Hut. The quality is well above them, though, so you shouldn't compare them! It is very greasy but that happens when you use rich ingredients like they do for everything. If you really don't like that, wiping it with a napkin works fine. If you want to eat in, just be warned that not all the dishes on their menu are worth getting. Just stick with the pizzas and you'll love it. The service was slow the last time I went but it was crowded. Our large Ledo Deluxe still came out hot and delicious. The calzone a friend got was overloaded with pesto that overwhelmed everything else in it. The chicken tenders would have been good if they weren't cold. The waitress was friendly but either got really busy or flat out forgot about us at one point. The pizza did make up for all of those issues however. If you're craving pizza, there's no better place. If you know you're not going to get pizza, tread carefully.

This place has a few ups and downs.Their pizza is great i was always a fan of ledo's pizza.Last time i visited i figured maybe i should try something else out of their menu.so i decided to go with the pasta with the shrimp that was breaded. The breading was obviously the same they use for mozarella sticks or at least thats what it tasted like to me.The plate arrived it was like a huge sauce explosion on the place.almost like they cooked it on my plate(gross). Our server was friendly but you could tell he did not want to be there as he kept disappearing. There was a manager sitting down eating an orange not doing much he was chatting away with his staff a little unprofessional for my taste and i had to ask for the bill because we could not find our server. It just seems like the staff does not care. The place could use a little more lighjting or cleaning as it is dark and dingy.Hopefully with better service i will be back otherwise im taking my business elsewhere.

I LOVE Ledo's pizza generally, but this location isn't the best example. Their crust is super thin (Rockville Pike, University Blvd, New Hampshire Ave, and Olney all have better crust, but Olney tends to skimp on sauce and cheese and NH Ave has horrible service) and it seems like they cook their pizza too long. I've gotten pizza with scorched edges here more than once. I would recommend trying another location if you're new to Ledo's; Wheaton is my fav!

A few of us from work went to this place yesterday for lunch. They all had a personal size pizza with a side of salad, but I ordered the steak and cheese sandwich with a side of Caesar's salad. Mistake! Not only was the sandwich tasteless, but I came back to the office with an intestinal issue--sudden bad pain and the rest (you know what I mean). Something in that meal was not right, and I'm not referring to just the taste. Really a horrible afternoon. Won't eat at this place again.

I can't believe Ledos has less than three stars, that's a travesty. I'll admit, I haven't really tried the regular food at Ledos, only the pizzas. But Ledos is a pizza place. And the pizza is damn good. WAY better than Papa Johns and Pizza Hut. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.
(5)
Don L.
Their pizza seems to be overly sweet - as if they mixed sugar into the tomato sauce. They also have very slow service. If you're looking for pizza while you're at the mall next door, I'd recommend Vince & Dominic's instead. There are many better pizza places if you're further away, such as Potomac Pizza or Mamma Lucia.

Used to go here with the parents. The pizza crust is like cardboard. Ledo's recipe is not too satisfying. The cheese and sauce combination is not the best. Still, Ledo's is popular in the area and deserves better ratings.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

What a great atmosphere, only to be topped by the yummy food. It's really a great place to eat and also reasonably priced!!

The best pizza in Bethesda! Great service too! I eat here once a week for the lunch special and it is a good deal.

Liked this one better. Food was still the same, but nicer inside than the other two locations we went to. Service was good.

(5)Don L.
