BLAZE who??? I wasn't much of a fan of Blaze to begin with since I feel that even though they let you have as many toppings as you want, the way their crust or pizza is made, God forbid you put any more than 2 / 3 toppings MAX on your pizza, would it fall apart. That's what happened the two times I went and on top of that the crust was soggy. Then I tried &Pizza in rio and omg did I fall in love. The spicy sauce is amazing and no matter how many toppings I put on, it stays together! the crust is crispy and delicious. Now there's one CLOSER to me on old georgetown, I have to limit myself from coming here too often haha. I would definitely try this place out if you havn't already done so. The price is good and the portion size is great too! Customer service is good as well! Oh yeah, and the BOX hehe this may not matter but it's car ride friendly!

This place is the Chipotle of pizza in a good way. You pick your ingredients and they make you a pizza in just a few minutes. The pizzas are good and they have suggestions to get you started so you can avoid making a set of terrible choices to start off with. To cap it all off, they have "craft" sodas which are really just better and more interesting mixes of typical sodas you'd find. Still, they are really good. I got the Gnarlic and my wife got the Farmer's Daughter. The gnarlic was clearly the winner of those two with great garlic sauce and fresh basil on top. The farmer's daughter was also good, but just didn't stand out quite as much. I guess garlic is better on pizza than eggs. The black cherry cola was fantastic and actually justified getting a drink. This is likely to be one of the few places I actually pay for a non-alcoholic drink.

This place is amazing! I have gone to all other fast casual pizza places in the DMV and this one, at this location, is by far tops! The customer service is very well considering it's a bunch of young adults/teens who I genuinely know don't want to be there; they're very friendly and ready to answer any questions. And then we get to making the pizza and the endless selections just make it all worth it. I'm a vegan so having so many veggies and proteins to choose from is amazing for me. The array of sauces they have put all other places to shame; I try a new sauce every time I visit and have never been disappointed. When you finally get your pizza, it looks like a work of art and taste even better! It's a 30 minute drive from my house but for quality food like this, I don't mind one bit.

Love & pizza. This place is always my go-to place when I'm starving because I know that I can get a nutritious meal in seconds. I love all of the toppings that &pizza offers us. They have so many toppings to pick from that it's overflowing with your toppings when you're done creating your own pizza. Their toppings include: spinach, mushrooms, peppers, artichokes, chicken, sausage, eggs, cherry tomatoes, sun dried tomatoes, olives, arugula, chick peas, basil, goat cheese, and soooooo many more. All the toppings are unlimited except you have to pay extra for the shrimp. This &pizza location was smaller than the other ones I have been to, but it does not lack in character. It is edgy and classic. Not to mention I loved their huge & chalkboard. Cute location and nothing can beat their awesome pizza!

Can you hate &pizza? I'm a customer for life. Their pizza is like subway in the form of a pizza shop. Of course &pizza offers much more fresh and nutritious toppings than subway. So maybe I should stop comparing the two... There are 6 steps to making your perfect personalized pizza. Step one, pick your dough. Step two pick your sauce. I have tried most of them, but I always end up with the classic sauce. It's my favorite. This is a tip, you can also get half and half sauce or even combine sauces if your up for it. Step 3, pick your cheese or cheeses. I usually go with their mozzarella cheese. It is house made, so you know it's fresh. Step 4, pick your veggies. Step 5, pick your protein. I would suggest their sausage and chicken combo. Or if your up for it, get an egg on your pizza! The last step is to pick your fixings. Get their olives. They have high quality olives... I love olives, and I especially love their olives!!!

"Houston, we have a problem" because i want to eat here everyday for the rest of my life!!!! Alright alright, let me not hype this place up...But who reads my reviews anyways right? Since March, I have been working in the great Bethesda area. &pizza has been one of the wonderful new discoveries that has enticed my taste buds :) I've gone to two three locations, the one in Rio, the one in Germantown and this one, off of Old Georgetown Road. I am happy to report, that all three are very consistent with the food and staff service. &pizza is like a "chipotle" style place where you build your own pie. They have so many sauces, a number of toppings and all the protein you can put on your pie - not to mention the arugula topping by the cash register is like the cherry on top (LOVE ARUGULA) I usually get the classic dough, and i am very particular about my pizza dough, the thinner the better for me. They also offer gluten free dough! I mix my sauces...either the classic with the garlic or the classic with the truffle mushroom sauce. It's so hard to decide. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Then we get to the toppings - fresh mozzarella rounds and a bit of shredded mozzarella, spinach, sauteed mushrooms. They have a number of very fresh veggies and other types of cheeses as well. I can't explain it - you just have to go see for yourself! Here we go with the proteins...the best thing about &pizza is that they do not charge extra for ANY type of topping. Meats on top of meats on top of meats, they're like #aintnoTHANG I usually get a craving for the half sausage and half italian meatball. The sausage adds a little kick to it and has a bit of roasted pepper flavor, it's not to spicy for me, but just right. After harassing the pizza maker, and making his head spin with my indecisiveness...he throws my pie into the over for a few minutes, and out comes this fragrant, piping hot, fresh rectangular pie. Wait...it's not over yet - i top mine off with fresh cherry tomatoes, arugula and garlic oil. All for about $9.00 - NOT BAD RIGHT? Wait until you devour your pizza at the table...I resist eating the whole thing because i have to go back to the office and face the other half of my work day, but if i could, i'd totally man vs. food that whole pie. I think i went to this place twice in one week...that's just how good it is. They give you a variety of toppings and they don't charge extra when you ASK for extra...what more can you ask for? This is definitely my favorite lunch spot, and i can't wait for the Pike and Rose location to open - that means i'd be even closer! #pizzafordays

Another pleasing iteration of this fast casual pizza conveyor belt. See my review of the E street location for full details on &pizza in general. Seeing as how they offer delicious food and are exceptionally sensitive to everyone's dietary needs and are fast and affordable, I look at all of these places as being in the 4.5 star very good range; what I give them will likely just depend on what I got that day, honestly. At Bethesda, I augmented my order with the vegan beef crumbles. Tasted like seitan (wheat) to me; adding that to a grain-based crust doesn't add a ton of flavor, but it is more filling. This location was also the first time I got fresh mozzarella, for whatever reason. Oh. My. Goodness. Why they offer a choice to *not* get that, I don't know. If you eat dairy at all, definitely try fresh. The Bethesda locale is quite small even by &pizza standards, with only one indoor table, a couple of seats by the window, and a couple of small tables outside on a nice day. Don't count on eating in. The location is quite close to the Metro, however, and weather permitting there are a number of public areas within a couple of blocks where you can sit.

I went through an & pizza obsession at one point. It is just so good. Always consistently good. It's really a genius idea (probably not originally & pizzas but whatever). You can make whatever type of pizza you want and then it goes through a super super hot oven and is out for you to eat in a matter of minutes. I've introduced many people to this place and plan on continuing to do so! Everyone loves it. Pizza making tips: - Scramble an egg on top!! It's tasty. - There's this dope fig sauce they can put on your pizza at the end. Maybe try it on just a few slices at first - it's sweet but amazing.

Most people who have visited both this place and their new location near White Flint Station have been here first -- after all, it was open for a few months before the White Flint location was. But it seemed that I was never in Bethesda at lunch time at any point while this place was in existence before the White Flint branch opened, and I've been there two or three times before I got to sample this location's product. So my comparison runs the other way from other people's. The pizza (and drinks) here are identical to those at White Flint (no surprise; you expect different stores in the same chain to be alike in that respect). I really like their pear/fig soda; that is one of the distinctive things here. I also am a big fan of the fact that you can get sausage AND pepperoni AND meatballs without paying an arm and a leg. (I just wish they had anchovies!) The store is extremely small. Of course, when I was here yesterday it was empty until I was about 3/4 finished with my pizza -- apparently, though they open at 11, most of the customers do not show up until almost 12. I imagine that when they do get busy, there is a line stretching out the door. I do not like the layout which makes you go to the back of the store to begin your order. They would have been better reversing the positions of the assembly line. But the main criterion is what the food tastes like (allowing for price). And they give you a good product for a decent price. I hesitated a bit about giving them the same 5 stars as I gave the White Flint location, but I don't think the differences are enough to warrant deducting a star.

While it's not really a place for a nice sit down dinner, the food is definitely worth a visit. We were there from out of town and found this place to be the best for lunch and dinner. We could pop down from our hotel and grab a quick pizza or salad, eat there or take it back to the hotel. As parents with an infant it's always nice to get wholesome good quickly so you can eat and go before the baby gets fussy. :). The creative pizzas are a good place to start if you're overwhelmed on your first visit. But, there are some great toppings (spicy chickpeas) to choose from if you want to make your own. It's quick and you feel better about eating pizza when you can put fresh ingredients on it and control the amount of cheese, etc. I love their innovative craft sodas and the salads are definitely the perfect meal! I'd highly recommend it to locals and fellow travelers.

Pretty good pizza but a chaotic experience during dinner time. First of all, this is a very small location with a few number of seats. If you're looking to dine in, don't come during meal rush times or you won't find a seat and if you don't like being crowded. The assembly line also gets a bit chaotic with lots of people. It was hard identifying which pies were mine when I got to the register. The actual pizzas are a generous size and have good flavor. I really enjoyed the spicy marinara sauce option. Warning for those getting the farmer's daughter. Ask them to cook the egg all the way through. I asked for half cooked and it basically came to me raw which made the pizza soggy. Not pleasant. The pesto and ricotta sauce base that I used in my diy pizzas were also so-so. However, I like the variety of toppings they have. They also have very interesting soda choices. I would come again for take-out or a bigger location next time around.

I'm going to be a bit of a heretic here, but I wasn't too impressed with Ampersand Pizza. Certainly, the toppings are of an interesting variety (falafel, egg, chick peas)...but the two Signature Pizzas I tried thus far (Backyward Garden and Grecian Market) just didn't fit too well together. Topping overload perhaps? I'll give it a few more tries, especially since you get a lot for the price, but maybe flatbread-style pizza isn't my jam - I much prefer the simplicity of Blaze Pizza. As for the Bethesda location - it is way too cramped inside (seems like they just wanted to be sited next to the Chipotle), not enough seating, and (most blasphemous of all), they had to "remake" my wife's pizza since it bubbled up inside the conveyer belt oven contraption...although she actually likes the dough bubbles, for some insane reason, and wouldn't have mind (minded?). However, despite the fact that we told the cashier where we were setting (within his line-of-sight, no less), our post-remake pizza was sitting on the back counter until we went up to ask for it (granted, they were just getting the dinner rush coming in but still...poor service). Overall, 4 stars for taste/quality but 2 stars for subpar service. I'll avoid this location in the future and go with other ones.
If I am unable to order a pizza, it's kind of hard to leave her review. But that's my review. I pick up my wife nearby almost every day. sometimes I go to the chipotle right next-door like I'm doing right now. But sometimes I go for what is usually pretty tasty pizza here at & pizza. On numerous recent occasions, I've been the only person at the counter and not gotten anyone's attention standing there where you pick the type of crust you want. There are people prepping and someone at the cashier but none of them seem to care at all about the hungry guy at the counter. I've already got my bowl at Chipotle (because they were so quick to take care of me) next-door. I noticed the lock box on the door as I was leaving and have to wonder if & pizza may be closing up shop in Bethesda because nobody likes the pizza or because the service sucks.

This is one of my favorite chains. It's a brilliant concept: make your own pizza and pile on what you will. I recommend the garlic and pesto sauces (you can have both!), though the spicy marinara is also tasty. I have always had the ancient grains dough which I enjoy. In terms of toppings, I usually load up on the homemade mozzarella, artichokes, falafel crumbles, roasted peppers, spinach, caramelized onions, and top it with oregano oil, arugula, and cherry tomatoes. A few tips: - Don't order an egg cracked on top. It often doesn't cook properly and can become a runny mess -- too runny, even for me. - Ask for the pizza to be cooked an extra minute. Otherwise, it doesn't cook fully in the middle. - Make sure it's your pizza. The last time I was here, I got someone else's pizza which was very similar to mine and still delicious, but well, it lacked some of my favorite items. I keep forgetting that there are a number of very interesting natural flavors of soda to try. Must remember the next time!

Love everything about this place!! 9.75 for a pizza no matter how many toppings you add, wonderful typing choices, super friendly, great ambiance, the whole package! It's a tiny place, not a lot of seating. That is literally the only reason I give this place 4 and not 5 stars. It's very Subway-esque infest you can get one of their signature pizzas or you can just make your own! If you're looking for a greasy slice of pizza with pepperoni and oil drilling from it, this is not the place for you. This Place has stuff like arugula, goat cheese, Sun dried tomatoes, chicken, bacon, chickpeas, sausage, broccoli, shrimp, salami, parmesan, etc. It's super delicious! This is definitely a must try place! Everyone is so friendly and helpful! It was the best food I've had in bethsda yet! I've only been here about a week, but that's besides the point!

great place for fast casual pizza. I'd say it definitely beats out similar places like Blaze. great variety of toppings and selection and good bang for your buck especially if you to create your own. definitely worth coming back for a quite bite

I like this place because you have unlimited options with what you can do. Your pizza is going to be what you make it. The crust is thin but not crispy, or soggy. I like the beverage options. I like the price. The only draw back for me was that it wasn't particularly clean in the dining room, overflowing garbage cans probably cause the flys to hang around. It was almost closing time and plenty of staff to cover the few customers at that time of night. Makes me question what the back of the house looks like.

Back again in less than two weeks, but it's my first time at this Bethesda location. It's much smaller than the D.C. one and the staff was not as friendly, unfortunately. Toward the end of the line, they were low (but not completely out) on goat cheese for my boyfriend's pizza and the employee just seemed like he was irritated that we would ask for it. He did not offer to refill the container and just told us to get something else. How rude. When it came to my pizza, he was very stingy with my basil and proscuitto request-- It's not like I'm asking to pile it on, but at least be reasonable, shesh. Regardless, we didn't let our experience with one person ruin our love for &pizza and still thoroughly enjoyed our dinner! - metered street parking until 10pm!

I'm not walking all the way back in the cold to complain about a missing corner of my pizza. This is evidence of why this my least favorite &pizza location-- someone put this in a box for me and said to themselves, "Ehhh, that's good enough." If my coworkers insist on coming back, I'll have to see how their salads compare. Egg whites cook through more here than other locations but not completely, if you're squeamish.

So. MUCH. YUM. &pizza is so good. So so so good, if you couldn't tell from the other reviews. My favorites are the Moonstruck (goat cheese, fig, mushrooms, truffles-- I add on carmelized onions) and the Farmer's Daughter (mozarella, spicy tomato, egg with runny yolk, spinach, sausage, chili oil-- I replace the spicy sauce for mild and add arugula). The ingredients are so fresh and high quality. At some other locations (K Street, I believe), they make the mozzarella right in front of you. I LOVE that you can customize your pizza by adding as many toppings as you want for under 10 bucks. The artisan sodas are another delicious touch. Lastly, the people who work here are the BEST. I don't know what their hiring process is like, but they end up picking cool, chill people who are awesome to talk to while your pizza is cooking. Everyone who works here seems to genuinely like the place, and that can't be said about pretty much any fast food restaurant ever. That's definitely the mark of a great business.

I've been to the Bethesda location about 4 times and have always had a good experience. &Pizza always hits the spot! I mean, how could you go wrong with a $9 fully-customizable pizza with unlimited toppings? If you don't like what you get, then it's probably you're own fault bc of your poor design choices. I tend to stick with what I love, such as: crumbled goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, arugula, jalapenos, roasted peppers, spicy chickpeas, italian sausage, bacon, etc. topped w a splash of garlic/oregano oil and tabasco. Mmhmm, Delicious!

Recently read they had some new salads. One sounded good. It was not. It was one of the worst salads I've ever had, with the worst falafel I've ever had. Stay away from both the salads and the falafel. The pizza looks pretty good, which is why I'm giving them 3 stars. But for the love of god stay away from the salad + falafel.
Seems like this location has the smallest space of them all but I'm sure it is the business area, people can grab their lunch and go. Don't expect to sit down, especially during the lunch rush. I'm excited that the newer space that is coming in Rockville will have more space to enjoy their yummy pizza. The pizza is good, consistent with all the other locations. Ingredients are always fresh and yummy. Love the garlic sauce at the end!

&pizza has the best flatbread pizzas in the DC area hands down! You can pick from their signature pizzas or create your own for the same price. My favorite is the farmer's daughter; has a kick with the chili oil. Cheap, fast and delicious. What more could you ask for!

I have been hearing about this place and seeing the large boxes being carried around for a while now. I was curious to try this place. And I have to say, that I am not disappointed at all. I was skeptical about tbe concept at first, but the pizza was good, no lie. To be honest, it's more of a flatbread than an actual pizza. But that works for me, since I tend to like thin crusts anyways. The one star is for the price, I mean it's kinda steep for lunch. And I get that you could get as many toppings as you want and still pay the same price. But it's pizza, how many toppings can you really add??? I will be back for sure and I will recommend it if you don't mind paying $10 for a single size pizza. P.S. I meant to take a picture of the pizza itself but got distracted with the food, and only remembered when I was done eating LOL!! A testament to how good it was :)

I don't normally eat pizza, but &pizza has got me hooked. I love that I can choose as many toppings as I want and customize my own pizza. It amazes me that the staff is always super friendly and energetic, even during the lunch rush, and that every time I have gotten a pizza there it's always on point and never lacking enough toppings. Great place to go for any time of the day, including after drinking on U street :p

Awesome place to eat and hang out on a Friday night . Employees are nice and funny and upbeat from the pizza maker to the cashier to the guys cutting the fresh mozzarella. Only complaint is on the weekend the line can get a little hectic . But let's be honest that's what attracted me to stop past here anyway if the line is long you know the food is good They have all different kind of toppings and sauces you can put on your pizza . I like to keep the vampires away so I pretty much throw garlic all over it lol . My first time visiting here the guy that made my pizza was hilarious . Lol I was so overwhelmed by all the toppings lol he actually helped me chose what to put on my random spinach broccoli chicken onion pepper pizza lol and that's not all I put on it . Just wanted to say to the owners of &pizza you rock lol and everyone in line always says "why didn't I think of this idea " oh and I loveee the homemade soda mango passion fruit . Great place guys

Delicious! It's so cool to see them roll out the dough right in front of you. Housemade mozzarella is literally taken straight out of the brine and crumbled right onto your pizza. You can choose toppings as you go and they are totally cool about giving you extras of anything you like. We went on Valentine's Day for lunch and were offered complimentary cupcakes or candies for the occasion. Also, the housemade drinks are amazing. The ginger berry lemonade is delicious but I LOVE the dark cherry cola. It's so good. Makes me not want to go back to the canned stuff. Also the staff were awesome and very nice. Can't wait to go back!

Super excited to find &pizza yesterday as my typical haunt in Bethesda (Vace) was closed. I thought the pie was terrific. Nice, thin crust, zesty marinara, high-quality toppings. At $9.50, my mom and I split the pie, and it was plenty for lunch. Great deal! If you have a larger appetite, watch out, as the ex-football player seated across from us looked at the pies and did scoff a bit. :) The basic set up here is, pick your dough, sauce, toppings, and accoutrement; then, your pizza passes through a very hot oven on a conveyor belt and you have more sauces and toppings to pick at the end of the cooking process. My suggestion is to **start with a printed copy of the menu before getting in line**, as the menus posted where you order are a bit opaque. The choices for dough are threefold: original, ancient grain (think quinoa, kamut, etc.), or gluten free. I opted for the ancient grain and thought it was terrific. There seems to be multiple (say, six?) sauces available. Ranging from the generic marinara to zesty marinara (next time) all the way to pesto sauces and garlic oil. Lots of cheeses and toppings as well. I went with the fresh mozz--it was perfectly squeaky and delicious. I included sauteed onions, salami, jalapenos, and mushrooms (the man's out of town!) and my mom went for the backyard garden. This is one of their assembled pies, with marinated red peppers, artichokes, and other veg. Once out of the oven, like I said, numerous other choices await. I wanted to add everything, but opted to just do feta. I was quite pleased with how everything came out, me being a newbie and all. So, yes, I highly recommend. The service was prompt (about as quick as a Subway, frankly), place was clean, and the food was good. Lingering questions I have include, are all the pizzas $9.50 no matter what you put on them? How fantastic are the homemade sodas? (I didn't see those til the end) Is there outdoor seating during better weather? As others note, the place is small with few seats. Likely taking the 'za to go during the workweek lunch, I imagine. All in all, solid four star experience. Thanks!

Being a first timer, I must admit the staff went above and beyond to make my experience memorable. I was greeted, and upon asking immediately informed about their top sellers. I decided to go with the Farmer's Daughter. I was hesitant due to the sunny side egg ingredient, but still gave it a try. Afterward, I was slightly disappointed because the egg was too running for my taste. The cook, AJ immediately demonstrated exceptional customer service by remaking it to my liken. The pizza is very spicy, fresh and absolutely amazing. I will be back to try other signature pizzas!!!!

I love this place. And not in the late night drunk rage "I need a pizza NOW" kinda way. This pizza tastes better than pretty much any other I've tried in this area, whether I'm sober or not. And the business model of $9 for any pizza, any topping, is freakin genius. With vegetarian and vegan friendly options too! Go here and you won't be disappointed.

I've already talked about how much I love &pizza in my reviews for the H St, U St, and E St. locations. I've also mentioned how friendly the staff is. Sometimes I think the friendliness of the staff is too good to be true. Well, during my visit here, the employee didn't crack a smile. It had to happen eventually. I came here to meet up with a friend. Over the past year or so, all my visits to Bethesda have ended (or began with) a visit to Cava Grill (which is pretty much my #2 obsession behind &pizza). When I asked my friend to meet me in Bethesda, she said, "I guess I'll meet you at Cava Grill." I said, "No, &pizza!." My friend hadn't yet been to any of &pizza's locations, but revealed that she had thought about going to the U St location the night before, so was really excited to try it for the first time. I arrived to &pizza before my friend, so when I entered knowing I wasn't going to order immediately, I felt like I had to apologize to the employee that was just glaring at me. I said, "Sorry! I'm just going to have water for now as I wait for my friend." The employee was busy making something, so I don't have any other complaints except that she was missing that &pizza pep. I ordered the gnarlic and added pepperoni, chicken, feta cheese, and pepper. This is always a winner. I don't even know what my friend ordered. I think she topped her pizza with at least 75% of the available ingredients and started eating forkfuls of toppings off her pizza. When &pizza says unlimited toppings, they really mean it! My friend has a much tinier appetite than me and announced that she was full when she had only finished about half the pizza. She ended up only leaving one slice. at the end. You really can't stop eating this stuff. In my review of the E St. location I did use the words "keep up the good word young man" when I referred to an employee I thought was really hard working. As I finished up here, I saw a young man walk inside with a shirt from another location. Pulling double duty at &pizza I see. Keep up the good work young man!

It's noisy as all get-out, and it's a bit of a tight squeeze--but it's worth the wait and the trouble. Honestly. The pizzas made here are large and delicious, toasted to perfection. The assembly line system works incredibly well for the place and the staff are friendly, outgoing, and observant. The seating, if you can lock any down, is pretty decent inside and out. I can't recommend it enough. &pizza's selection can soothe any tired, hungry soul, and the place has a great vibe to boot.

Wow! Bookmarked this spot months--if not years--ago and just recently had the opportunity to try it. Kudos to them for staying open until 11 p.m. on weeknights when everyone else around downtown Bethesda seems to close by 10--that's the primary reason we came here. As a self-proclaimed pizza monster, I can vouch for this pizza. The ancient grain crust was surprisingly really great. Fresh, quality and unique ingredients make this pizza fab. The Chipotle model is genius when it comes to pizza--no more arguing with your S.O. about what type of pizza to get. The portion size is generous--I had two slices left over for lunch the next day. I didn't get a drink, but the soda flavors sounded awesome, especially the mango passionfruit one. I will be back!

The experience: chipotle style pizza, done the right way. They have a menu with different kinds of pizzas to try (which are delicious) but the experience of building your own pizza for $10 is nothing short of amazing The crust: the MOST IMPORTANT part of any pizza. The crust is delicious and has the perfect amount of crunchiness and chewiness. It's thin but not too thin, still allowing for a few bubbles. I enjoy some bubbles on my pizza! The sauces: they have numerous sauces, all of which are delicious and flavorful. Traditional, spicy, pesto, mushroom truffle and many more The cheese: house made and great! The toppings: all toppings are fresh and go in the order of veggies-meats-bake-finishers. Yeah that's right, I said finishers. After they bake your pizza there's still more!!!! Beverages: they make their own soda, it may be a little to sweet for my taste but their sodas are unique and yummy. This does not take away from my stars because it's not a problem in my eyes. The staff: are kind but sometimes forgetful. I enjoy their pizza so much that as long as I walk home with a pizza in my hand, I'm happy, therefor the sometimes forgetfulness of the staff will not subtract any stars even though it would at other establishments.

I like this place a lot. They have tons of option for everybody under reasonable price more like pizza/chipotle concept and definitely recommend to Try at least one, better than blaze pizza If you are pizza snob who likes Napoli style real Italian pizza than you may not like this place(hint: don't try margarita) However, you mix and match sauces ; especially their chickpea sauce is awesome with ancient grain dough. Overall you should try with different sauces and toppings. They have great soda options too as oppose to generic markets sodas.

As of today I vow to never eat Pizza Hut or Papa Johns again!!!! From the moment you walk in the staff is helpful and friendly. For me, customer service is a plus. The pizza is big and economical, I paid 11.75. I went for lunch and will definitely be eating the remainder for lunch. The pizza was amazing! I had the Backyard Garden with shrimp. They made sure that every 'slice' has all the requested toppings, a big plus. The concept of &pizza is very forward thinking. Keep it simple, use fresh ingredients and make it affordable. I'm glad that these concepts are emerging as 'fast food' options.

Amazing custom pizza! The fresh mozzarella they put on their pizzas is so appetizing, even before being put through the oven that turns it all melty. Highly recommend the Gnarlic with salami.

So this place has grown on us. I think for the price, you're getting a nice level of quality and convenience. The pizzas also consistently overdeliver. From the signature pies, to the simple versions we grab for the kids, it's never a disappointment. The sauces - red, pesto, white, and the finishing sauces also - are all very good. Fresh, balanced, and not overseasoned, or oversalted. For example - hadn't been in a while, saw someone's Gnarlic (to which they had added salami) in a Yelp pic, tried it - great. Another interesting thing about the place is that none of the toppings look all that appetizing on the line in the buckets before they become toppings, but they always turn out on the pizza. The meatballs, the salami, the chicken, the mozzarella - all looks pretty uninspiring, but comes out great out of the oven. I thought the onions looked just okay, but they were not too wet/sloppy or bland - they were yummy. So if you think it will taste good, no matter what it looks like, go for it. Downside is the wait is unquantifiable. I've waited just 10 minutes in a line to the door with a 3 man team. I've waited 15 minutes behind 2 or 3 people with a 4 man team. I've waited just a few minutes behind just a couple people. I think the concept is volatile, because I've never thought what are these guys doing? They are always working so hard you feel bad for them, especially as they go out of their way to engage with you, make you feel like your order is important, and be friendly! I feel like I never know what I'm getting into when I jump in line. I think the process of making a pizza from a Chipotle format, is a process that, once delayed, or prolonged, or interrupted, is much harder for the crew to recover from, than, say, throwing some chicken in a few tortillas quickly. But all the credit to the concept guys, and the crews they have for making it work as well as it does so far. It's volatile, it's imperfect, but 90% of the time, it works every time. Also, if you're trying gluten free, and they're out of gluten free, don't act all put out because you're the one that got in line to get gluten free PIZZA in the first place. I get it. And I even order it sometimes. It's a great GF crust, but come on.

Really good pizza here! I had a build my own pizza. It was so delicious! The service was good and the place was clean too. They have healthy diet pizza as well. I think I'd go here again, but I'm not buying drinks here though.

I love this place. It's a fair price for unlimited toppings and the specialty pizzas have really great flavors. The moonstruck pizza was delicious and my friend got a custom pizza. We both were very happy with our meals. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful for first time customers. Will definitely be going back for more

Great lunch spot. Interesting topping combinations and love being able to customize. We tried the farmers daughter and gnarlic on ancient grains crust, which both rocked. Great value for the price too.

Ordered the Farmers daughter pizza on ancient grains. Great price for good quality ingredients. Pizza was a little too oily after the sweet chili oil was put on but that will be an easy fix for next time. Will definitely come back.

I love the food here, and have tried many combinations of sauces and toppings, and it continues to be one of my favorite spots for takeout. What a great concept for a personal pizza that is just the right size, and customizable with so many great toppings! My favorites are the house-made mozzarella, and the flavored oils on the "finishes" portion of the menu. It doesn't offer much in the way of dine-in, but a few people can definitely sit down and eat there if desired (not a desire of mine so no issue at all with that). I have interacted with some really friendly staff and one time they even gave us a free soft drink to try their unique sodas! The only negatives - extremely loud music during lunch last week. Everyone in my party was commenting on it. I even tried commenting *loudly* but I doubt if the staff heard me over the music. Not only was that uncomfortable to endure for the 10 minutes we were in there, but the man who starts the process with the dough and sauce got my order wrong twice, which obviously resulted in wasted food before getting my dough + sauce combination correct. Also, the basil topping is hit or miss. Why bother having it if it's wilted and looks like it's gone bad? I'd rather see it as a "sometimes available" topping so that customers are sure to only get fresh ingredients on their pizza.

The concept of &pizza is genius. At least, it is in my opinion. As I was telling my co-workers about this pizza, I found myself explaining it the best way I knew how "the pizza version of Chipotle". The place is small. There is only about three tables in the place. Patrons can get as many toppings for under $9. I opted for the vegan RedvIne pizza. Spicy vegan tomato sauce with jalapenos and red chili oil gave this pizza true kick. I also loved the fact that &pizza has Daiya cheese for the vegans. In addition, &pizza had homemade sodas. I stayed in the safe zone with the Cole flavor one. For the meat eaters, my sister created her own pizza with pepperoni, beef, and shrimp. She topped it off with feta cheese with garlic sauce on the side. She loved the pizza, and she was vowed to continue to eating at &pizza. Although I enjoyed the pizza, the Bethesda location isn't near my house. Luckily, there is one on H-street which is closer to my house. If you are in Bethesda and want a pizza that is awesome, please try out &pizza. Your taste buds and wallet will thank you.

Pizza was ok at best. Not only that, service was lacking... Lacking very much. Not only did the service give my pizza out to some random lady who I saw just walk in and said it was her's. They took another 30 minutes to make my pizza. It also took 30 minutes to make my friend's pizza who ordered right after me. His was just a pepperoni... Not sure what was going on that day. But I suggest you keep an eye on your pizza as it comes out of the oven.

Hooray for vegan pizza! I came here when I was in the DC area and I was pleased with the quick service (the setup was like a Chipotle or Subway line) and, of course, the vegan options! I also tried their house-made soda, I don't remember which one, but it was good.

My husband works in Bethesda a few nights a week and brought us home some &Pizza last night. My husband had raved about it since having it at a worked catered function. We decided on the backyard garden pizza and a cheese pizza for our kids (sadly, he forgot that I requested that he also bring home a dessert pizza...oh well). Since I grew up in the NJ/NY region lets just say I am a huge pizza snob (especially because I am Italian). This pizza isn't your run of the mill pizza--it is artisan but OH SO GOOD you can almost forget that any other type of pizza exists. After plowing through the two pizzas my husband brought home I told him that he better bring home double the amount next time. My kids woke up this morning asking for more &pizza...and so did I. I hope they open a Fairfax location soon...so we can get our fix of &Pizza more often! P.S. the pizza crust is almost bread like and SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would recommend buying more than one--the slices are half of what a normal pizza slice is.

Just left and can not believe I've lived so close to such Mecca of Amazingness! The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly about all the different options. I wanted the Grecian Market, being vegan couldn't get the original version of it and they were more than helpful telling me my different options. What we made was perfection in the form of pizza. The cashier was very sweet and adorable with bright red lipstick. Appearance is very important although people don't like to admit it but no one wants to be served by someone who looks unkempt. All in all amazing pizza, perfect price and superb staff.

Absolutely LOVE &pizza..! Visited this location for the first time today, for the Yelp &Pizza event and I have to say everything about this place was phenomenally yummy! I got my favorite - moonstruck, and I loved every bite of it. I love how the taste is consistent with the H street location as well. My sister tried the Grecian Market and she is a fan ( that is a lot coming from the picky eater she is :p) I think this is a reasonably priced local business that I would love to support any day. Staff was friendly. I did feel the assembly line process was a little slow, but looking at the girl in the end who finished off my pizza with utmost case and finesse, I did not really mind the wait :) Oh don't forget to try some of their Sweet Chili Oil - it was soooo yummy!

Great pizza with as many toppings as you'd like! All for ~$9. I've been here twice and I've not left disappointed each time I visit. The seating venue is a bit small so you might have to order the pizza to go.

My experience with And Pizza was much like that of a classic love story. Pizza wasn't my thing, but this restaurant somehow caught my attention. The smell was enticing, warm and inviting. So I decided to give it a try. As soon as the first bite hit my mouth, I was in love. My "Garlic" was an explosion of flavors in my mouth and I tasted the perfect balance of cheese, sauce, bread, and toppings. I was lost in decadence and pizza induced ecstasy. My wife might have a serious contender because it feel like I found my true love, my every waking thought is of this amazing pizza, it even manifest in my dreams. I have found the pizza of my dream, the moon to my ocean, the ketchup to my burger, the apple to my pie. Thank you &pizza making me feel more alive than I have ever felt in my life.

I was a fan as soon as I walked in and took a whiff of the bread, and sauce, and fresh ingredients. We stopped in for dinner and although the indoor seating was limited do not let that deter you from a visit. You can choose from different types of bread and order from the menu or if you are feeling creative you can build your own delicious concoction. I opted to get something from the menu and I was not disappointed. The Kiss & Fire was tasty as can be with its use of meatballs, spiciness, and mushrooms. I added a little bit of extra tomatoes and cheese and my pizza because a behemoth of taste and happiness. I definitely have to give kudos to the staff as well who were very friendly and outgoing. I asked a couple of questions to a few different employees about the ingredients and what they preferred and they were all very helpful. There is extra seating available outside around the corner which is nice as well. I have to return to taste each pizza now that I know how good it is. Definitely worth a visit and all for under 10 dollars.

This place is simply amazing. The minute I walked in this afternoon, I was greeted by a friendly, personable employee who seems to love her job. When she explained how to order, I was astounded to hear that they offer an unlimited number of toppings for just $9.00 - but that was just the beginning. They offer three varieties of crust, including an ancient grain crust and a gluten-free crust, about eight different sauces to choose from, and a remarkable number of veg ( and non-veg ) toppings. The veg toppings include hard-to-find options - dairy-free cheese, falafel crumbles, veggie crumbles, and so many others. Additionally, they offer eggplant, fresh basil, arugula, roasted chickpeas, and a lot of other terrific options that pizza shops seldom have. The pizza was ready very quickly, and was one of the best I have ever had anywhere, hands down. For some reason, I had struggled to find great pizza in this area - until today. This is now my go-to restaurant for all things pizza - I can't wait to start bringing others here!

I was craving their spicy tomato sauce so I came to an &pizza for the 2nd time in 3 days. I was still very impressed. However, I noticed a major difference with the friendliness of the staff between the U st location and this one. At the U st location, everyone was very nice and cheerful even though it was 2am. At this location, the two women near the check out were extremely moody and unfriendly. It wouldn't kill them to smile or act like I wasn't torturing them by asking for some goat cheese and capers. They would benefit from some chik-fil-A customer service training.

I've been to other &pizza locations but Bethesda is definitely the best. The service is good here, while they aren't always the friendliest. They are the fastest and this location is barely ever so busy that the line is out the door compared to the DC locations. I look forward to them opening more in MoCo! One thing that irks me about them: while their menu states that they have a gluten-free option, every time I try to order it, it's not available. And then an employees always tells me that all of their pizza crusts are gluten free, so if that is really the case, why does it specify on their menu that only one is? They have a great selection on premium toppings, and most of them are veggies! They feature your standard vegetable toppings as well as marinated and roasted options. They also have shrimp, falafel crumbles as well as meat options like sausage, chicken and pepperoni. For cheese, they have homemade cheeses, standard shredded as well as Daiya cheese which is the vegan substitute. It's actually the best vegan substitute. So that is definitely a plus! This location is really small and space is limited. It's so hard to get seating and when you do, people are always trying to get through and hitting the back of your chair. Parking is kinda tough in this area, but you can find something eventually within walking distance and it's all paid parking. Prices are great. You pay one standard price for all the toppings you want AND it's under $9 each pizza! Best deal ever.

I was walking back to my hotel from a wonderful massage, walked past this place, and literally turned right back around and inthe door based on the smell alone. It smelled like everything I wanted pizza to be! My husband loves pizza, but we don't match a lot in our favorite pies. I love thin crust, lots of veggies, and non-red sauces. He loves deep dish with lots of meat. So I was pretty excited to order a pizza just for me. I built my own with: - Traditional crust (good thin crust pulled into shape right in front of me) - Spicy red sauce (yum) - Housemade mozzarella (super yum) - Artichokes, mushrooms, jalapeños, pepperoni before the oven - Prosciutto, pickled red onions, and parm after the oven It was delicious. Another reviewer here stated that baking the jalapeños into the pizza and then removing them before eating gives the right amount of spice, and I have to agree - those were some hot peppers! And although my husband would be a bit pickier in ingredients, there would've been plenty here for him too (minus the whole deep dish thing)! Overall 5 stars for the ingredients, the concept, the taste, the price (8.96 per pizza), the portion, and the service.

This place is really good. The ingredients are fresh and the pizza is made right in front of you. They do not deliver and I can see why (you make your own pizza essentially). I will be back.

Very friendly staff, lunch rush was busy but good was great. You can have healthy options too like gluten free or vegan and the crust is spot on. So many gourmet toppings to choose from all for $8.95 is not bad.

I have been back to &pizza twice now, and it is now one of my favorite places to pick up food from when walking past. I was a little bit overwhelmed the first time, but this is how it works. All pizzas are the same prices, regardless of what you put on it. You pick your dough, sauce, toppings, and "finishes", and they have a wide selection of each to pick from. They also have signature pizzas that you can choose as-is, or customize them. Both times, I've gotten variants of the gnarlic with salami- it is (very) garlicky and absolutely delicious. I've gotten it with arugula on top, as well as prosciutto. The pizza is generally fast, although I feel like they should have two people handling the pizzas that come out of the oven- each time, they've only had one person on the receiving end, and she has seemed a bit overwhelmed. But each time, I've been in-and-out within 10 or so minutes. The pizzas are an individual size, and it's the right size to make you satisfied but not uncomfortably full. My pizza with tax came to $9.50, so it's quite cheap as well, especially depending what you put on top! They also have dessert pizzas and salads, although I haven't tried either. Definitely a great addition to the area, and a great place to pickup take-out! They do have some counter seats and one community table if you prefer to eat there- there has always been seating when I've come.

The pizza here is fantastic. I got the Maverick- Classic Tomato, Housemade Mozzarella, Salami, Pepperoni, Hot Sausage, Smoked Bacon, Parmesan Reggiano, Oregano Oil. Excellent thin crust which is light but slightly chewy, puffed up on the ends with appropriate char. Place makes their own mozz as well. They have some interesting option to go on the pizza after it comes out the oven. I went with a spicy sauce that they drizzle on top of the pie and spme fresh parmesan cheese.Had a tasty fountain Cola to wash it down. This location goes with a Rock & Roll High School theme which is very cool. I would say the place deserves 4.5 stars. My only knock would be seating is somewhat limited. Get here soon- the line will surely be out the door soon!

I was dying to try this place out and came away very unsatisified. I thought the pizza was average. Maybe the store is too new, but I think for real connoisseurs of pizza, this isnt the place. Also, for a first time customers, they seem to lack patience. They want you to move, move down the line, but come on, give me a minute to figure this joint out.

This place is the fucking bomb. Chipotle style "pick whatever you want" pizza with awesome, fresh ingredients. Huge selection of doughs, sauces, toppings, finishes etc. and very generous portion for the cheap price. It's a tiny place though, and it's always packed. The three things holding this place back from being a 10/10 is 1) there's basically nowhere to sit 2) the music is way too fucking loud to eat in peace (and I'm a college student, not some grumpy old man) and 3) they have such an awesome selection of delicious stuff I always end up putting too much shit on my pizza!! So I guess that last one isn't really their fault... Anyway, this place is awesome and I highly recommend it.

Stopped by &Pizza for the first time today at lunch. Luckily I walked right in but about 5 seconds later there was a line out the door. Apparently a popular place. I ordered the Grecian salad. Maybe that was my problem... salad at a pizza place? The salad consisted of mixed greens that included a LOT of flat out lettuce spines. Big huge hunks of white hard gross lettuce spines. If you are going to include them, at the very least chop them down. Or better yet just don't include them! This salad also includes falafel... I was imagining some nice patties or balls.. instead there was a minimal amount of broken and chopped up falafel... seemed like random leftover crumbs and the falafel really didn't have the good flavor i was hoping for. The rest of the salad was alright flavor wise. Along with the salad comes a piece of their fresh baked crust brushed with olive oil and a dash of salt and pepper. This could possibly have been the best part of the whole meal however instead of a dash of salt and pepper it was a legit handful dumped on. It was basically inedible without trying to brush off the majority of the salt heap. This would be much better applied via a shaker of some sort, not by hand in heaps. If I make it back to &pizza again I guess I'll stick with pizza in hopes that works out better for me.

So this review is probably biased because they handed me a free pizza and sticker right outside the Bethesda Metro: I was given a shrimp pesto pizza which was very tasty. There was a good amount of srhimp on there, and the size of the shrimp was also a good size. The packaging is interesting, as the pizza comes in a rectangular box instead of the traditional square box (this place seems to specialize in personal size pizzas). Seems like a great to-go pizza spot just right off the Bethesda metro. Apparently they also have other locations throughout DC.

Intimidating, at first, with so many fresh and colorful ingredients in front of you. You can play safe with the signatures or go wild. This is the casual dining model that is currently popular and it works! The trick is to try to restrain yourself and only choose ingredients you actually want. Too many toppings will spoil the pizza especially water-laden ones. The portion size will leave you with lunch for tomorrow, unless you haven't eaten all day and are famished. And their homemade sodas are unique and tasty!
(5)

I like this concept and it is very quick. The pizza is not the best I've ever had, but it's good considering what it is. The pricing also seems fair. I would go back to &pizza in the future.

An original and brilliant take on pizza! There are a plethora of decent pizza places around Bethesda. I know this is a chain but I think its the best. What sets it apart is the ability to make it your own. And the ingredients are phenomenal - the dough, the sauces and mozzarella just reek of quality. They do craft beer (in their DC locations) and craft soda too! What's not to love.

When my kids want pizza, I look for coupons for nearby pizza joints. When *I* want pizza, I walk over to &pizza, which is about 10 minutes from my house. Person 1 takes your order for the type of dough, sauce/spread, and cheese. This is handed off to Person 2 for the toppings, which are right there behind the sneeze bar :) so in addition to perusing the menu you can actually see what looks fresh or good -- vegetables, proteins, oils -- as many as you want. Then your pizza goes in the oven, rolls through, out the other side. Finally: items from the longest menu column (Finishes) are put on AFTER your pizza comes out of the oven, by Person 3, who also rings you up. It is DELICIOUS. I'm partial to the spicy tomato sauce. Since toppings are unlimited some folks turn this into a pile-o'-stuff, which isn't the way I like pizza. But hey -- it's not my pizza, it's yours, right? You do you. WHY I KNOCKED A STAR OFF: It's so loud in there it's really hard for customers to communicate with counter staff taking the orders, and how people sit in that racket to eat, I don't know. Second, I wish about half of the "finishes" were over with the rest of the toppings to get baked. The split is so random -- why wouldn't you bake capers, goat cheese, olives or prosciutto? Some of my favorite toppings are in Finishes, but I don't want them all dumped cold on my pizza.

I finally tried &pizza! Yay! And it was better than I expected. I love the system - it's like a Chipotle, but pizza. Your choice of crust, sauce, unlimited toppings, all for the same price. The pizza was cooked perfectly and the crust was excellent. I got the classic tomato sauce, with spinach, mushrooms, eggplant, roasted red peppers, and caramelized onions. I didn't get any mozzarella or anything, but got a sprinkling of goat cheese at the end. It was great!! I will definitely be back.

Awesome service and great food!! The Manager AJ actually brought the pizza out to me because I had a sleeping baby in the car. Its sort of Like Chipotle but for pizza, you Pick the crust, sauce, and as many toppings as you like (which they have an endless selection of)for $9.50. Would definitely recommend

Not the same as used to be. Service is very slow plus attitude. a few times i came they were closed 1/2 hour early. These are a new employed than when they opened first year. I don't think I will ever come back if the piazza wasn't good.

Phenomenal gluten free pizza! Is gluten free anything ever going to taste as good as the real thing? Probably not. But this is a valiant effort. Great customer service, really cool sodas, and amazing pizza!

Excellent gluten-free pizza. The lunch-time line is a bit out of control, and there is precious little space to sit here, but if it's good food you are interested in, &pizza can hook you up. I was very pleasantly surprised by the chewiness of the gluten-free dough (many versions are quite dry), and loved the selection of sauces and toppings. I masterminded by own pizza creation: basil pesto, mozzarella, mushrooms, carmelized onions, roasted red peppers, chicken and bacon...it was delicious! Good price point, friendly service (definitely not for the highly gluten intolerant, though), and really good pizza - I'll be back!

&pizza is a fancier and more diverse local version of Chipotle but with pizza. The quality of food, overall value, and the service make it a great place for a quick bite without compromising quality or flavor. While different from the Neapolitan-style counterparts, &pizza's is a nice thin-crust boat-shaped pie that can be loaded to the brim with premium toppings at a reasonable $9.50/pie (inclusive of tax). For the past few years, I was wondering what all the buzz had been about &pizza (the original H St NE branch being one of the highest rated places on Yelp) but didn't feel like going all the way across town. When one opened in Bethesda, I had to try it with my dining companion. After two very satisfied visits, we very much enjoyed the freedom with which we can choose the crust, cheese, sauce(s), toppings to cook, toppings after cooking the pie, and other garnishes. We haven't made it past the traditional crust or fresh mozzarella, but we can definitely say the pesto (green and garlicky) or truffle (plenty earthy) sauces are great selections. The ricotta spread is very watery so be warned when conceiving your pie's composition. Among the toppings to cook, the shrimp is decently-sized and fresh, the house-made sausage is wonderfully herbaceous and perfectly seasoned (most sausages tend to be too salty but definitely not the case here), pulled chicken breast adds body, jalapenos provide a crispness without the sweetness of bell peppers, and the artichokes are a nicely smooth and gentle savory that complements the meats. In addition to the above, the fresh toppings are among &pizza's highlights. Fresh and abundant with flavor (and generously loaded on the pizza), the basil, arugula, and cherry tomatoes balance the aforementioned substantial ingredients with a refreshing balance as well as adding a natural bitter or tartness. For a light kick, the chili oil adds spiciness without taking the spotlight away from the pizza's overall flavor profile. We have not yet tried the dessert pizzas but would like to sometime later. While we rarely drink sodas due to their offensive sweetness, the Mango-Passion Fruit is pleasant, fragrant, and reasonably sweet without numbing the tongue as the HFCS-loaded generic sodas do to our palates. In a town of Neapolitans popularized by 2Amys, &pizza shines in its own right by encouraging experimentation with different combinations of high-quality toppings. Ample flavor, quality, quantity, variety, and value. What more could we ask for!

Unlimited toppings for $9...YES PLEASE. Great choice for vegetarians! You can even split your pizza into halves and have two different sauces. 1 huge pizza definitely shareable between two ppl!

the quality and value of the food is really good but last few times I have gone toppings were thrown on carelessly so there was none on part of the pizza and way too many on other parts. wasn't even busy.

I've been to numerous pizza joints around the USA and this joint is by far the greatest. The sauce was not the typical red sauce but a homemade mix of fresh veggies and spices blended to perfection. The bread was perfectly toasted and the cheese golden brown. My pie was topped with fresh oil, tomatoes, and spinach. Really, this place is great!

I love this place! They're always polite, quick and efficient. There are a couple of metered parking spaces right next to it but those are almost never open, you're better off parking in the garage on the next block, only .80 cents an hour and free on the weekends and only about a three minute walk down the same street! Last time I came, they accidentally gave my pizza to the man in front of me, which looked exactly the same as his but had one less topping, but they quickly fixed it and made me a brand new one and apologized. The guy who I'm assuming was the manager bought me a soda (not just a regular coke or sprite, but one of their craft sodas, which were surprisingly tasty and absolutely made up for my pizza troubles). After I got my pizza, they checked on me multiple times to make sure it was okay and even made sure I liked my (free) soda! All the employees there are super nice and seem to actually care about their customers and make charming conversation, asking how my day was, what I'm up to on the weekend, etc. As for the food, it's great! The ingredients all look and taste fresh and they are very generous with the toppings. The house made mozzarella is great! And, in case you haven't read it in the other reviews, you can get whatever you want, and however much you want, on a pizza for $9.50 after tax. And it's a pretty big pizza. Could definitely fill one hungry person up or be enough to share with someone else. The only things I disliked about this location is the seating. I wish there were more seating! There is only one long table that seats I think about 6-8 people, then there's room for 3-4 more people to sit along the wall. Also a two tables outside made for two people each. So just keep in mind that depending on the day, you may not be able to dine in. It'd be great it there were more tables, but it's a small shop and there really aren't room for more. But overall, I love this place and will continue to eat here often!

Really enjoy the pizza, but the music in the restaurant is so loud, the patrons and employees constantly yell "what" at each other. Get the chickpeas on your next pizza.

Came here at 1035pm, the door was already locked. When I came in I asked if they were closed and they said, basically, they didn't want to do any more work so they locked the door. Classy. Pizza was fine - not bad not great. Did see flies flying around in the restaurant and landing in the ingredients. No one seemed to really care... Not sure I'd go back to this location.

I came here for a yelp event last week since this spot just opened up in Bethesda and it was so much fun! First of all, I am not a big pizza eater but due to this event I am totally a fan! I made the most insane pizza ever and it was DELISH! I had the regular house crust, spinach, the house blend cheese, mushrooms, peppers, SHRIMP, chicken and a bunch of other stuff including the sweet balsamic dressing on my pizza. It was so good! I could not even eat the whole thing so I ended up taking it home and eating it later for a midnight snack. I am truly a fan!

So my husband's favorite food is pizza. He had been telling me about his outings to the downtown locations and couldn't wait for the opening of closer locations. I like pizza, just not as much as my husband, but I do appreciate the "foodie" type ingredients that are available here. It has worked out that each of our teenage kids have wanted to bring friends to try Bethesda's newest pizza spot so I have been 3 times since the Bethesda store opened. Having heard all about the place from my husband and having looked over the menu ahead of time, I was familiar with the system: 1) go to the back of the store (not the cashier) to choose your crust: traditional, multi-grain or whole wheat 2) select a "Signature" pizza or select your sauce and pre-bake toppings 3) watch your pizza come out of the oven and select your post-bake toppings and finishes 4) end at the cashier For the 2nd and 3rd steps, selecting your toppings, I do suggest looking over the menu in advance either online or by grabbing a paper copy available when you walk in. The & Pizza concept is to prepare a fresh made pizza with great toppings in only a few minutes so there is little time to be sorting thru all of the dough, sauce, and pre and post baking toppings and finishes when walking thru the line. To simplify the task of choosing your toppings, they have created some "Signature" pizzas but you are free to modify the toppings or totally choose your own. As others have written, seating is very limited at this location but we have always taken ours to the tables down the street. If possible, some seating outside the shop would be great. With so many possible combinations to try, I'm sure we will be back many more times! We are also looking forward to future suburban locations.

I must say, this was a really great restaurant experience. Pros: +There were lots of different options for your pizza, even gluten-free dough. +The ability to choose your sauce is amazing, and there are so many to choose from. +It's really quick, about 2 minutes to order, and then 1 more to pay. Chipotle style. +The pizza tastes really authentic and fresh, even though it was made so quickly. +Indoor and Outdoor seating +Unlimited toppings Cons: -When I walked in on a Saturday night, it was packed full of people waiting to order. It's just too small a space -It is on the expensive side of things at $9 a pizza All in all, it was a great atmosphere, and certainly somewhere I'd stop by again for a bite to eat.

Since this was seriously the best pizza I had ever had and would have been a sure 5-star review if not for the horrific customer service I experienced on my first visit, I wanted to give this place another try. All of my previous comments about the pizza are still spot on - it was still the best pizza I've ever had. This time, I at least didn't feel unwelcome in the store, though even this time, they were still not very friendly or helpful. Because the pizza is so awesome, I'll probably just put up with the sub-par customer service and keep coming back. Maybe they'll eventually hire some decent employees, or maybe I'll give the Gaithersburg location a try when it opens soon.

Needed a quick pizza fix and found &pizza. Got the ancient grain dough, spicy marinara, house made mozzarella with pepperoni and freshly sliced jalapeño - it was to die for! The staff was very friendly and fun. House made sodas were great and loved the pizza box. Can't go wrong for $12 with half a pizza to eat later.

This location - much like the H street location - is delicious. I went last night and got the moonstruck with an egg, caramelized onions, garlic oil, and extra goat cheese on top. Unfortunately, since it just opened, the employees aren't as familiar with the menu as they could be and service was a bit slow/uncertain. I fully expect the kinks to get ironed out in the next few weeks and this location to be just as good as the H street location. The pizza is fantastic. Unlimited toppings for $9 on a pizza that is the perfect size. Literally get WHATEVER you want. My girlfriend got arugula on top and they put enough for a small salad. The problem i see with this location (other than the trainee cashiers) is that there is virtually no seating inside. There is literally one table that seats 8 (will be awkward to sit there next to strangers) and maybe 4 chairs on a small bar. I hope they do enough carry out business to stay around for a long, long time. Parking in this place is also tough. There is only street parking and a large metro parking lot. The location does not get much foot traffic. I sure hope management did enough research before opening this location....

I rely on & Pizza at lunch time, and today I was told they may no longer have the gluten free pizza offering. I know germantown and a few others like U street do not have it, but Bethesda's location sells a lot. I would pay an increased price to indulge in this pizza if I had to, but currently i love the ability to get what i want on my pizza and not be charged extra to be "normal" in a pizza place. they always take great care of me here, and i hope i can continue to do business here. the springfield mall location surprisingly had the gluten free pizza the one day i went since they had it on accident, but told me not to get used to it. The bethesda location always takes care of me, changes their gloves, use a new pizza cutter, etc. I dont see a downside to them serving the GF pizza. Dominos currently sells a GF pizza that doesnt even come within 20 feet of the & pizza gf crust, pizza hut comes out with a new one january 26th which im sure will not compare, so the only actual competition is Ledo pizza and they dont even deliver nor are they in walking distance of downtown bethesda. Please continue to keep this dough for people like me who have grown to love the pizza, and who have helped make & Pizza a Bethesda staple. Plus where else can you go around here and get as great service, up beat attitudes and friendly faces? If you stop selling the GF pizza i'm stuck going to chipotle and crying everytime i see someone with that long white box.

Ok, maybe because it was opening day and the pizzas were free, but, that basil and arucola that you actually were thinking on putting on my pizza, gee whiz, did they actually grow in soil? and if so, how long have they been in the refrigerator? two, three weeks? Wouldn't you say more? So, beware of the more discriminate paying customer, because that unrecognizable yellowed wilted basil and arucola shouldn't land on any kind of pizza, even if it's free.

Pizza is good, a lot of topping options however my friend left her cell phone inside on the counter and when we went back to retrieve the employees working said they hadn't seen it. We then traced it to an apartment in Maryland which was a little sketchy. However, I have been back many times since and have not seen any of those same employees since. The staff I saw last week was friendly and very helpful!

I've been 5 times since my initial review. It truly gets better each time I go!! The ingredients are so fresh and delicious. This is what I've had so far: The farmers daughter: I suggest adding meatballs to this one. The sauce they add at the end has a little spice to it. So , ask them to go light or leave it off if you don't like spicy foods. Jenny: basically, pesto, shrimp, and capers. I added eggplant to mine. Kiss and fire. Again, another spicy pizza but just the right amount of heat if you ask them to mix the spicy tomato sauce with the original tomato sauce. Moonstruck: lots of mushrooms. I like mushrooms, but this one didn't do it for me. Customer service is AMAZING!!! Everyone is so nice and willing to help you decide on toppings or give you suggestions. The service is fast too! I get in there and am usually eating my pizza in about 5-7 minutes. There a lot of good pizza out there. Not just in this city but all over this country. I've travelled a lot and eaten a lot of pizza. The original concept of this place, the amazing quality of every individual ingredient, and the top notch customer service makes this some of the best pizza I've ever had!

Wow. It's like a fancy chipotle but with pizza ingredients. The drink mixes are great; I love the pear fig one. I had a pizza on a 7 grain crust, with red chickpea sauce, daiya cheese, spinach, roasted chickpeas, mushrooms and veggie meat crumbles. Oh my word. I didn't want any of the chewing to end! I love that they have many vegan options to choose from. My nonvegan fam and friends can definitely enjoy this place as well. Will definitely be back, and ps: they're opening a new one at Pike & Rose. So excccited! Double time at the gym = pizza here once a week.

I like this place. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Food was good. I would suggest the maverick pizza. Price is not bad for the amount of food. Not too much space to sit but it is a great in and out place.

Giving a second rating based solely on responsiveness to my post. I was immediately contacted by business manager, and told that they will look into the problem and they offered to make up for my disappointing experience. I appreciate that!

This place is so great in general but the other locations are far superior. The Bethesda location has a serious tendency to go light on cheese and toppings. The Dupont location is way friendlier and they'll put all the toppings you want. U Street location is also better.

This place is super tiny Only a handful of community bench seats inside and tables outside. This is a neat concept. Quite tasty for fast food. The night we went they were out of all dough except for the Ancient Grains, which is whole wheat. It wasn't bad and probably wouldn't have noticed if they didn't say anything. I had the Moonstruck, which is one of their signature pizzas. I would recommend if you are a mushrooms fan. It had an interesting flavor profile with the combination of spicy chili oil and sweet fig marsala as a topping. The dough was a tad bit soggy from the heavy sauce. Husband made his own pizza with red sauce, mozerella, olives, and prosciutto. He enjoyed it. Only downside is the size of this location.

So good! Great idea! So many topping combinations. They even have a couple choices for your pizza dough. For under $10, it's a great size. You will be full, do yourself a favor and go. You will be overwhelmed with the choices!

This place is definitely unique! It's like Quizons only with pizza. The pizza toppings are endless. You can't go wrong. Most of the customers do carry-out. One pizza is large enough to share if you aren't starving. The only thing I missed was a beer next to my pizza. No adult beverages here.

I like it for what it is. Make your own pizza subway style. I like their list of ingredients and sauces and the pizza is quite affordable at about $8 a personal pizza. I enjoyed it a lot.

This place is awesome because for 9.50, you can get anything on a pizza. Their "signature" pizzas are adventurous and very delicious. I struggle with spending almost 10 dollars on a Flatbread style pizza that really only feeds one but the quality of the food may make up for that.

This place is awesome! Customized pizza. The pizza is about $9 and it's pretty good size for two.

So I popped in here after a workout tonight hoping to get a reasonably healthy but tasty pizza. The service was great and there were a lot of fresh, healthy and vegan options. They understand which toppings need to go on last vs prior to baking, so the crust stays crisp, which is a must for me. I'm a pizza purest and found the original tomato sauce to be zesty and flavorful. The house made mozzarella was excellent as was the fresh basil. When I went to reach for my wallet, I felt terribly embarrassed. Ladies, you will appreciate this if you carry more than one purse in a season, but, I left my wallet with all my money and cards in another bag! I told the clerk and she immediately said, "hey, don't worry, this one is on me!" I offered to come back to pay, but she insisted that I have one on the house! This is a fabulous new addition to Bethesda and at & pizza, it really is LOVE & Pizza! Looking forward to going back and supporting this place while I eat terrific pizza.

I don't think 5 stars is enough. I'm not going to grade a restaurant like this on loudness like some people. Look, if you go on a Friday night to any popular restaurant , expect it to be loud. Anyway my first time Going there was this past Friday, I would always pass by the one on H street but never went in. I decided to go to this one just to see what all the buzz is about. I like pizza but I always have the pizza dilemma, I want toppings that I like but don't want to pay $2 per topping...anyway this place is amazing if you want your pizza exactly how you want it for less than $10. You start off with your crust, sauce of your choice, cheese(regular or vegan), proteins, veggies, then it cooks and you can put a oil on it or anything else you want. In my family, we generally get pizza from the place down the street but with different tastes it's hard to agree on something everyone likes. If you don't want a big pizza that's fine too. You can get half of one pizza and half of another. It's 100% customizable. I'm done with the pizza huts of the world, I'm sticking to this.

I love love love this place. I've been three separate times bringing a total of four people with me and I believe all of them would agree with my review. This place is delicious. There are reviewers saying that certain things didn't work together, but of course that's true, You should have common sense when making your pizza and know that everything there does not magically go together to make a great pizza. What impresses me about this place is their speed. My husband and I went in at a 2pm on a Wed and there was no one there. We were probably out of there in five minutes or less. We came in and there was a line of about 12 people. We were out in 10 minutes or less. I also love how accommodating and non-judgmental the staff seems to be! I like a quarter of my pizza to have the spicy oil, a quarter to have the oregano, and half to have the garlic, and they comply without confusion. Staff is great, food tastes great, one of the best pizza places I've been to, ever. I will definitely come back!

Don't worry about the line and being crammed in with a lot of people. You have to watch a lot of pizzas being made before yours comes out - possibly more interesting ones than the one you prepared. Oh well. Relax! It's tasty. Music is loud but you can sit outside if you are not rockin'.

Great pizza! Nice way to customize the pizza the way you like it. Plenty of toppings to choose from. They have unique and specialty toppings also.

This place has been open for a while, and I've finally gotten around to trying them out. They have a lot of options as far as the pizza itself is concerned, down to the dough. I'm not super adventurous, but even just my cheese pizza was very nicely done. The crust is crispy and the sauce has just a little bit of a kick to it. Even their soda is better than most--they must have a supplier other than Coke or Pepsi. The only complaint I have is the atmosphere of the restaurant. It's small and the seating is a little awkward, and they have their music at high volume, none of which is conducive to conversation. Overall, though, a very good place for a personal pizza.

Walked in at 1130am and I was 2nd in line. Order one of their signature pizza (gnarlic). I was asked if I wanted salami with that, I said yes. My pizza gets moved to the 3rd staff member who places the meat portion of the toppings. I get asked again if I wanted to add anything to my pizza, I look around and add artichocks..and ohh.. the salami (didn't I already say I wanted salami?). Pizza then goes into the conveyer belt oven. I walk towards the finishing station and wait for my pizza. Out it comes and I am asked again if i want to add anything to my pizza. I scan the options and get basil leaves. I forgot the cracked black pepper though. While waiting for the pizza to cook, I have moved over to the cashier to pay. Of course, that moved you past the finishing station so you have to back track to the finishing station to add stuff to you pizza. 1) If i order a signature pizza, why do I NEED to tell them what I want on it? Just put the items specified on the menu and don't ask me! 2) they need to sort out the finishing and payment section. I was 2nd in line and the 1st three customers caused a hilarious back and forth between the cashier & finishing station. what a mess. the pizza was tasty. I give it that. Come early to avoid the lines.

Not bad. Order individual pizzas -- they take about five minutes. Fun to watch and order , toppings are extensive and generous. Decent prices and size. Watch out the gnarlic is GARLIC to the hilt GARLIC!!! Very little seating.

Very good pizza at a very reasonable price. Concept is great in that you can basically build your own pizza or add whatever toppings you want to their pizza specials. Had the Maverich with some my own favorites, artichokes, onions and roasted peppers, all at no extra charge. The place is very small so it is really a take out place but it does have maybe 10 seats. All things considered a very nice product, just the way you want it and at a very reasonable price!

Strange ingredients thrown together in off-putting combinations and nowhere to sit. I feel queasy thinking about the pizza here.
(2)
Aparna R.
Great ingredients and pizza choices, so the food is great...but in terms of efficiency, there must be a better way. The staff can be slow when putting together the pizza...and for some reason, they almost always feel the need to follow the "assembly line" order, so if a pizza is ready to go in the oven but the pizza in front of it is still being prepped, they wait for that pizza to be prepped before putting it in the oven. The space is small and cramped so there's almost always a back up of people waiting to place their order. So only go to &pizza if you are feeling patient.

Went for dinner. Not too crowded on a Friday night, and it being so small in there that is probably a good thing. The employees that work there were very helpful in helping us order since this was our first time at an &pizza. A bit confusing at first but I think I get it now. Two pizzas were a good amount for the two of us. Cheap... fast... vegan... tasty pizza... I'll be back soon...

I love this place, not nearly as much as my older sister does but I like it a lot! They are so clean, so funny, which it makes the pizzas taste even better, or at least I think so. I've been to & Pizza a couple times and both were great experiences. I love the fact that I can pick whatever I want and that the workers there kind of help with the decision making just by being honest about what each taste would bring to my pizza. I love the fact that no matter what I get, I still pay the same price as if I was getting more or less. I built my own each time I went in and I knew what I liked and didn't like and what I wanted for the next time I went in.. The only reason I didn't mark it at a 5 stars was because I didn't like their drinks choices, but that's just me.. I think everything else was AWESOME!! I really liked that there was a black board where anyone could write a little message, I think that was a sweet touch to the intimate setting they have.. Can't wait to go back!!!

For 9$ it's a real good pizza. Any toppings you want, same price. I get the Maverick and throw on a bunch of veggies with classic crust. Love it.

I requested PLEASE!! use your regular tomato sauce INSTEAD of the garlic mash base they use on the pizza I ordered. I guess that was much to difficult to ask of this 'build your own pizza' style restaurant. My mouth is on fire from al the garlic after only 3 bites. I wondered why the sauce was so WHITE. They used so much the pizza is completely soggy. I now have NO DINNER.

Update: tried the Annie Mae dessert pizza the other day and it was good, although a little messy for sure. It is definitely worth a try but I would recommend maybe a little more binder and a little less juice if possible. The pizza itself was just a touch too saucy the way it is currently made. Going to go back and try the Lori lane another day. The pizza here is amazing and I love that it is basically one price for any topping you want. I have not created my own yet but I have added topping to their specialty pies and have loved every combo so far. Biggest surprise yet was how much I loved the farmers daughter pizza! Be adventurous and try something new that you would not ordinarily order. They can put the ingredients on a small part of the pizza so if you don't like it it's easy to remove. I have not had anything I didn't like so far. There sodas are also uncommon flavors that taste delicious. Have not tried the dessert pizza yet but when I do I'll update with the verdict.
Great ingredients. Great crust. Great combinations. Reasonable prices and really friendly service.

amy k.
It was just ok. I did not find the crust had any flavor, they skimped on the cheese so the ends of my pizza were tomato sauce and one mushroom. I also like cooked mushrooms, not raw on a pizza. The conveyor belt cooking just adds no flavor to the pizza. For $9 I will stick with true pizza oven places.

Great to have the Bethesda location finally open as it is much more convenient than the downtown locations. Like taking the signature pies and modifying them a bit (take the maverick and replace the salami with bacon crumbles and some broccoli). So many great ingredients available that you can experiment and try something new each visit. Hope outdoor seating arrives soon for the summer!

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

(5)Ann P.

A couple people told me about $pizza's popping up all over town, I heard it described as the Chipotle of pizza. Kinda. The ingredients are spread in front of you like Chipotle, you pick what you want, they make the pizza, and they put it in a signature long box. But the difference is, Chipotle has all the classic ingredients you want in a burrito. &pizza has some weird (albeit creative) pizza topping choices, but they were lacking the classics. I was cool, though. I thought maybe I was missing out on pizza with their toppings. I'm game to try new stuff! I ordered the Grecian Market pizza, which has (copied from the website because it is so much I forgot what was on it) "Red Chickpea Purée, Local Mushroom Blend, Broccoli Florets, Falafel Crumbles, Kalamata Olives, Pickled Red Onions, Crumbled Feta Cheese, Tzatziki Yogurt" Um, yes, it tasted like the crumbs from the dishes at a Greek restaurant, I wasn't impressed. It didn't seem like pizza, like how an open-faced sandwich isn't really a sandwich. What if Chipotle did a spaghetti burrito? Just get the classics right and then expand from there. On top of that, this tables and floor were pretty dirty, the trash was overstuffed-full (guess what happens when all your customers have 16 inch long boxes!), and the house made beverage machine dripped all over my hand, very messy (though my ginger lemonade mixed with mango passion fruit was pretty good) Overall, I can get good pizza elsewhere, not for me.

(1)Kevin F.
carbon copy of the other locale in G-burg, but more worse parking, ay. I've yet to have a pizza anywhere in MoCo that would blow my socks off!
(3)Caroline K.
The farmer's daughter pizza is delicious. The homemade sodas are good, too! The pizzas are a good size for the price.
(4)Erica L.

(4)Julia T.
great place for fast casual pizza. I'd say it definitely beats out similar places like Blaze. great variety of toppings and selection and good bang for your buck especially if you to create your own. definitely worth coming back for a quite bite
(4)Jenny D.
(4)Mindy D.
(4)Ruth C.
(1)Samantha S.
So. MUCH.
(5)James M.
(4)Michael K.

I feel like I can really accurately review &pizza. A while ago I went to a Yelp Event at the U st. location. I went to the opening of the Bethesda location I went late night to the Bethesda location & we just had an Elite Event at that same Bethesda location. So, I've been there in the name of Yelp and I've been there when they had no idea who this Jolly Happy Jewish individual was. I feel like I can accurately review this pizza establishment, and by the length of stars on top, you can tell that I'm a fan. I like my pizza very personalized. Let's go through something I've been thinking about for a very long time. The Kinsey Scale of toppings. Tomatoes: Don't get cooked enough in the oven Mushrooms: Don't get cooked enough in the oven- only way they'll be on my pizza is if they are sautéed before hand ( #PaccisInSilverSpring Does that) Pepperoni: I'm totally here for pepperoni Salami: Sign me up Sausage: Here I'll create a firestorm. I think sausage overwhelms the flavor of the dough and sauce. I don't want a sausage cracker. I want a pizza. Chicken: My pizza is not a taco/ or a southwest chicken salad- no thank you Spinach: I'm here for spinach. Subtle nice flavor add. Doesn't intrude- no Steve Urkel Jalapenos: I like the spice they add. I think baking them on a pizza and then taking off the actual peppers adds a perfect amount of spice Meatballs: Depends on my mood Eggs: Egg on everything makes it better. #Bibimbap #PastaCarbonara #SomethingBenedict #Burgers #PointProven Smoked Bacon: Same issue as sausage Then you can get all these finishes and what not. I went with their oregano oil last time which was ... just freakin' delicious. So... OBVIOUSLY I'm not really picky about what goes on my pizza... That's why I LOVE that I can do a personal pizza for 9 bucks. I've put a lot, nay- more than the common man's thoughts into this toppings game; and I just want to say... I'm not amateur. I'm also here for basil as a finish on my pizza. Yeah, I'm classy like that! They have goat cheese, feta cheese, caramelized onions (I think they need a little more caramelization), and more finishes. I love how they make it in front of you and I love how FRIENDLY THEY ARE! They are all so nice, friendly and ready to serve. A great staff is what you'll find at all &pizzas. I'm 100 percent sure that I will be there soon!
(5)Brittany S.
(4)Puthavy U.
&pizza has the best flatbread pizzas in the DC area hands down! You can pick from their signature pizzas or create your own for the same price. My favorite is the farmer's daughter; has a kick with the chili oil. Cheap, fast and delicious. What more could you ask for!
(5)Kelley S.
Love the concept and the food did not disappoint. I've eaten here twice and enjoyed it both times. Love the choices of sauces and finishes! Great crust too!
(4)Taylor F.
We stopped at the &Pizza in Betheada as first timers and loved it! Can't wait to try something different next time!
(5)Ari C.
(4)Jackie S.
(5)Jasmaine S.
(5)Christine H.

Thanks!
(4)Clayton K.
Usually I don't like places that just try to imitate Chipotles system, but these guys really do it well. The staff is very friendly and my pizza always tastes good.
(4)Corrona B.
(5)Eric S.
Literally the freshest pizza I have ever had! 9 bucks and I put 5 meats on it! Are. You. High ?! I wish then I could eat more pizza!
(5)Sheri D.
(5)Melinda C.
(5)Jono S.
Such dope pizza. You'll be like man I can't eat this whole pizza. Then you eat the whole pizza and afterwards you don't even feel bad about yourself.
(5)Nicole B.
(5)Kat F.
(5)Marc R.
(5)R P.

I love Tiffany. She is the love of my life! Tiffany is love. Tiffany is life. I have small d and she made me feel Better about it. Therefore, I came out store with bigger d. Aroused d

(5)Anna I.
Amazing custom pizza! The fresh mozzarella they put on their pizzas is so appetizing, even before being put through the oven that turns it all melty. Highly recommend the Gnarlic with salami.
(5)Eric B.

(5)James M.
I love this place. It's a fair price for unlimited toppings and the specialty pizzas have really great flavors. The moonstruck pizza was delicious and my friend got a custom pizza. We both were very happy with our meals. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful for first time customers. Will definitely be going back for more
(5)George L.
Fast and delicious pizza with very interesting ingredients. The service was also friendly to boot. Totally recommended!
(4)Whitney P.
Great lunch spot. Interesting topping combinations and love being able to customize. We tried the farmers daughter and gnarlic on ancient grains crust, which both rocked. Great value for the price too.
(5)Rebecca B.

(1)Kayla P.

(5)Swatee G.
(5)Xiaoxi W.
Finally, somewhere in Bethesda worth eating besides chicken on the run. This place is a beacon of hope amongst the mediocrity that permeates this sterile town.
(5)Kelvin C.
Great pizza with as many toppings as you'd like! All for ~$9. I've been here twice and I've not left disappointed each time I visit. The seating venue is a bit small so you might have to order the pizza to go.
(5)Jack W.
(5)Luis D.

(4)Natasha S.

(5)Rodger S.
This place is really good. The ingredients are fresh and the pizza is made right in front of you. They do not deliver and I can see why (you make your own pizza essentially). I will be back.
(5)Krad K.
Very friendly staff, lunch rush was busy but good was great. You can have healthy options too like gluten free or vegan and the crust is spot on. So many gourmet toppings to choose from all for $8.95 is not bad.
(5)Lisa S.
(5)Fernando F.
(4)Barry C.
(2)David L.
Excellent pizza, outstanding service. Fresh ingredients on a flatbread crust, subway style but a lot classier.
(5)Michael F.
(5)Colleen G.
(2)Elaine C.
(4)Samuel L.
(5)Stephanie W.
I like this concept and it is very quick. The pizza is not the best I've ever had, but it's good considering what it is. The pricing also seems fair. I would go back to &pizza in the future.
(4)Eric H.
(5)Easy A.
(4)Heather J.
(5)Anna R.
(5)Bif B.
Not the same as used to be. Service is very slow plus attitude. a few times i came they were closed 1/2 hour early. These are a new employed than when they opened first year. I don't think I will ever come back if the piazza wasn't good.
(2)Elena R.
Phenomenal gluten free pizza! Is gluten free anything ever going to taste as good as the real thing? Probably not. But this is a valiant effort. Great customer service, really cool sodas, and amazing pizza!
(5)Dee B.
(5)Mickey L.
(5)Rohan O.
Unlimited toppings for $9...YES PLEASE. Great choice for vegetarians! You can even split your pizza into halves and have two different sauces. 1 huge pizza definitely shareable between two ppl!
(5)Jonathan P.
the quality and value of the food is really good but last few times I have gone toppings were thrown on carelessly so there was none on part of the pizza and way too many on other parts. wasn't even busy.
(3)Stefan S.
(5)Francisco S.
WOW great pizza. The variety of ingredients and sauces is awesome. When we want a good pizza we think of this delicious place.
(5)Courtney W.
(5)Patrick D.
Really enjoy the pizza, but the music in the restaurant is so loud, the patrons and employees constantly yell "what" at each other. Get the chickpeas on your next pizza.
(4)Michael D.
(2)Muriel H.

Amazing pizza. Super great deal. Incredible sodas and I will definitely be coming back
(5)Boby M.
I like this place. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Food was good. I would suggest the maverick pizza. Price is not bad for the amount of food. Not too much space to sit but it is a great in and out place.
(4)Michael S.
Never fails. I love the grain dough and the finished product. Best pizza in its class!!
(5)Robin K.
Giving a second rating based solely on responsiveness to my post. I was immediately contacted by business manager, and told that they will look into the problem and they offered to make up for my disappointing experience. I appreciate that!
(5)Anna F.
This place is so great in general but the other locations are far superior. The Bethesda location has a serious tendency to go light on cheese and toppings. The Dupont location is way friendlier and they'll put all the toppings you want. U Street location is also better.
(2)Amanda S.
(4)Samyuktha K.
It can't get better than the Moonstruck!
(5)Chris J.
So good! Great idea! So many topping combinations. They even have a couple choices for your pizza dough. For under $10, it's a great size. You will be full, do yourself a favor and go. You will be overwhelmed with the choices!
(5)Molly H.
This place is definitely unique! It's like Quizons only with pizza. The pizza toppings are endless. You can't go wrong. Most of the customers do carry-out. One pizza is large enough to share if you aren't starving. The only thing I missed was a beer next to my pizza. No adult beverages here.
(5)Brett M.
I like it for what it is. Make your own pizza subway style. I like their list of ingredients and sauces and the pizza is quite affordable at about $8 a personal pizza. I enjoyed it a lot.
(5)Danielle G.
This place is awesome because for 9.50, you can get anything on a pizza. Their "signature" pizzas are adventurous and very delicious. I struggle with spending almost 10 dollars on a Flatbread style pizza that really only feeds one but the quality of the food may make up for that.
(4)Lara F.
This place is awesome! Customized pizza. The pizza is about $9 and it's pretty good size for two.
(5)Elisabeth O.

(5)Melanie M.
(5)Elliot K.
Don't worry about the line and being crammed in with a lot of people. You have to watch a lot of pizzas being made before yours comes out - possibly more interesting ones than the one you prepared. Oh well. Relax! It's tasty. Music is loud but you can sit outside if you are not rockin'.
(4)Chawn P.
Great pizza! Nice way to customize the pizza the way you like it. Plenty of toppings to choose from. They have unique and specialty toppings also.
(4)Girard B.

(3)Jay B.
Not bad. Order individual pizzas -- they take about five minutes. Fun to watch and order , toppings are extensive and generous. Decent prices and size. Watch out the gnarlic is GARLIC to the hilt GARLIC!!! Very little seating.
(4)greg g.
(4)Suthern B.
This evening me and my husband checked this spot out. Awesome pizza. AJ was excellent. He walked us through the menu and explained everything well. Excellent customer service. We'll definitely be going back for more.
(4)Eileen N.
Strange ingredients thrown together in off-putting combinations and nowhere to sit. I feel queasy thinking about the pizza here.
(2)Aparna R.
(3)T R.
(4)Randy M.
(4)Glenn F.
For 9$ it's a real good pizza. Any toppings you want, same price. I get the Maverick and throw on a bunch of veggies with classic crust. Love it.
(4)Cheryll A.
(1)Vicki W.
(4)Sean W.
With no other options for food late on a weekday night we ended up at &pizza. It is a Chipotle style pizza place. There are several preset pizza combinations, but I steered clear of them as I wanted more toppings. The price of a specialty pizza is the same as one with toppings. It appeared we could have unlimited toppings. I ended up with a chickpea based sauce (hummus?), house mozzarella, meatballs, bacon, falafel, sautéed onions, prosciutto, and feta. I might have missed a topping or two. The pizza was great, and as a leftover the next day for lunch was also great. This is a great way to get a 'slice' or two. I will definitely go back.
(4)D B.
Great ingredients. Great crust. Great combinations. Reasonable prices and really friendly service.
(5)amy k.
(2)Steve G.
