After stopping into this cozy little dessert shop a few months ago while we were at the beach, my fiance and I fell instantly in love again... but this time with the cupcakes! We both have a pretty discerning sweet tooth, so to say the cupcakes are INSANELY delicious is not a complement we hand out easily. I am pretty sure that we scarfed down about a dozen of in a matter of 3 days. After raving about them to each other for a few months, we ended up back in Berlin and met with the owners (who are seriously the sweetest people ever!) and they have agreed to make our cupcakes for our wedding next month! Everything about working with them was a delight, and we can't wait to be able to share the best cupcakes ever with our guests :) So, what to pick when faced with a wall of sugary goodness: The Chocolate Chocolate and the Carrot Cake are the best, but really- you can't pick a bad flavor. Everything is so moist, fresh, and if you want a pretty something to bring to dinner, you won't be disappointed - everything is decorated with a chic flare.

Baked is great. It is exactly what you want in a small town Bakery/Coffee shop. Simple and delicious, very accessible. A+

I stopped here after seeing the high ratings on Yelp and was not disappointed in the least. We tried the amaretto soaked cake and the croclair and fell in love instantly! I will most definitely be returning soon for a peach dumpling.

Great amaretto cake! Stopped here on a whim and was happily surprised! Bread pudding was awesome too!

This place is amazing! Cozy and charming decor, genuinely friendly owner and fabulous desserts. We went back twice in the same day!

If your in Berlin, or even close to the Beach, it's well worth a visit to Baked Dessert Cafe, everything is delicious, the owners always have a smile and there is a wonderful selection of beer and wine, you can't go wrong! Oh, the Peach Dumpling is off the hook!

"Baked" is a delicious homemade bakery in one of the sweetest little towns you'll ever find. Just 10 minutes from the Ocean city boardwalk in Berlin, Md, lies delicious options like the croissant eclare (Croclaire), cupcake bread pudding, amazing peach dumplings, cakes, and on lucky days sticky buns and sweet potato biscuits. The owner, Robin, was so sweet in taking our son on a tour of the kitchen and walking us through the amazing dessert case. They even offer 2 types of delicious homemade granola to take home. If you bring back the glass jars they give a dollar off your next jar! If you mention yelp they offer a free cookie. In summary, if you're at the beach and would like to see a cute antique town named, "Coolest Little Town in America", where they filmed "Runaway Bride", YOU MUST TRY "BAKED"!

Most adorable little cafe located in Berlin, Maryland -- with home-roasted tea of Berlin. It tasted amazing ; best coffee I have had, with a strong coffee aroma, but without the bitter taste. I had also ordered their chocolate cheesecake, which was just as amazing. and creamy. The staff was super friendly. I definitely hope to return if I go into that area.

The eclair was awesome!! The filling was light and just oh so yummy! Also the root beer float was delicious. Tried the ice cream sandwich with sandwich part made of pizzelles it was okay...I think I didn't like the ice cream part, not sure but it seemed off. Regardless, staff was friendly and I liked the other two things! I would definitely recommend this place! Tip: Check in on yelp when you're visiting and get a free snicker doodle cookie!!!!

Found this place on Yelp and there were a few good reviews so I called and ordered a homemade cake for my son's birthday. Drove 25 minutes from Ocean City to the bakery. When I arrived, the place was super cute so I had high expectations for the cake. Boy was I disappointed. The vanilla had an incredibly weird taste and aftertaste and the buttercream icing was as hard as a rock. No one ate it. Would recommend a grocery store cake over this one. Not that it has anything to do with the cake, but the owner was very unfriendly as well. No, hello, small talk, or goodbye and thank you- and the store was empty. I would have loved to give a great review of this small, local business, but I just can't.

This place is awesome! I had a wonderful quinoa dish there for lunch today and a delicious banana chocolate chip peanut butter cake for dessert! Every time I come to Ocean City I make a trip to Baked Dessert Cafe for a delicious treat! Cupcakes, bread puddings, cannoli, gelato, teas, juices, coffees and much more! The service is great and the atmosphere is cool! Lots of local art adorns the shop! You won't be disappointed!

I got the last peach dumpling and felt like a champ as I munched on it. While enjoying it at the table, a local regular came in and was immediately distraught that there were none left. She settled for some other pastry but I'm positive her day was already ruined. You snooze, you lose.

YUM! Adorable bakery just a few steps off the main street of an adorable town. Loved the brownie and snickerdoodle cookie. Appreciated the service with a smile.

This bakery has turned me on to so many new flavors. Before I went to Baked I had never drank Kombucha or smoothies but after the insistence of the sweet lady behind the counter I have tried both...and liked them! I also enjoy their brownie, croclair (an éclair in a croissant...yes, it makes me feel divine), and the chocolate bomb! I promise I have visited several times and that I haven't binged on all of these treats in one sitting! Ok, they have lunches too...see, I can be a little good sometimes. The Italian green beans are delicious; I tried these after a recommendation from a father feeding them to his toddler son. If kids and adults can agree then you know the flavor is there! The vibe is friendly with several seating options. Since the space is relatively small expect to meet friendly folks willing to chat. If you are more of a solitary eater then choose a stool at the bar that looks out onto the street and allow yourself to daydream.

Was on the way from NY to VA and stopped here on the way. Cut a parfait cup which was comprised of banana bread layered with chocolate pudding. It's such a cute coffee shop, theres a small table and a couch with books on the coffee table, room for seating is about 7ish. There's a nook with tea and coffee as well. The owner was super sweet, would definitely stop by again if I was in Berlin, very cute quaint town!

The parfait is yummy. A little pricey but worth it. The staff is super nice and helpful.

Yummy food matched by friendly cozy atmosphere. Not mentioned in other reviews (I think) - they also have a delicious savory-food selection. We got the ratatouille and the thai salad/noodle, both delicious. Portions were small but that was perfect because we wanted to save room for dessert anyway. Desserts were also great, as others have mentioned. We got the bread pudding - one of the best I've ever had, and I do love bread pudding; and raspberry mousse in a chocolate cup, which was a really great balance of those two components (a bit of each in each bite was great). We had stopped on our way home from seeing the ponies in Assateague. We basically decided to have dessert in lieu of lunch (didn't want to bother stopping in two places), so were very happy to find that they also had savory lunch things so that we could have a little bit of real lunch followed by dessert. We'll definitely plan on stopping here again on our next trip to Assateague.

Great desserts, terrific service!!! The sweets from Baked were a huge hit at our wedding! Robin provided great service and a beautiful display of deserts! Everyone raved about the variety! We will be recommending Baked Deserts and Gallery to everyone!

Get Baked! I confess. It's now virtually impossible for me to drive by Berlin, MD without dropping by Baked for a fix of cupcake bread pudding. Actually its worse than that, as I've been finding excuses to drive through this beautiful small town just to drop by for some coffee and cake; and drop in on Robin & Shelly; the sisters that share their baked goodness. What's the reason for my addiction? It is the sublime sweets? Is it the movie-set-cute town & shop? Is it the genuine warmth of the proprietors? It's all that and more. All of their baked goodies are exquisite. Not too sweet, perfect texture and consistency. We also love their savory fare as well, and now that they've added a small, but well chosen selection of wines to their offerings...please don't ambush me with an interdiction. This is one addiction I'd like to continue.

I can't really tell you what the cupcakes taste like because I was eating mine in the 2nd annual spring festival cupcake competition. I had to eat it fast with my hands behind my back! I can tell you it was moist and had a generous amount of frosting! The owners, bakers and friends of the shop are all sweet as can be. The shop might be tiny inside, but they have an adorable outside seating area. They have several tables and chairs and picnic benches. A perfect place to enjoy a cupcake or cup of coffee! Berlin is just so darn cute and Baked is even cuter!

After a disappointing breakfast at Raynes Reef, I was thrilled to find the delish treats in this cute little bakery. We went with the peach dumplings (with heavenly caramel sauce!), ricotta pastry, and two loaves of bake at home French bread. Everything was spectacular. The lady who helped us was knowledgeable and kind. I would highly recommend this place and will be back for more soon!!

This bakery is a real gem. The bread pudding is very good. They'll drizzle caramel on top should you so desire. My husband even raves about it and he's not a fan of bread pudding. Robin makes pumpkin biscuits that are to die for! I live in S. Fla and I stock up on goodies to take home with me. We've also tried the german chocolate cake which my husband devoured, brownies and rice pudding. I'm a brownie fanatic and the brownies here are dark, rich & moist, just like a brownie should be. The rice pudding is the best I ever had. The bakery is housed in a historic building, full of charm & character and there are a few tables where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and the awesome sweets. If you happen to be in Berlin make sure to stop in and treat yourself.

Yes - Baked Dessert Cafe is as good as it gets! Just had to brag about the great lunch I picked up today - spinach and feta pie, black-eye pea and celery salads. The desserts are fabulous so I tried to resist that urge! I am still dreaming about the pumpkin cheese cake Shelly did for last Thanksgiving. Anytime you need a lifet - and a treat - Robin and Shelly will make you smile!

Great food and service - they even let me in 5 mins after closing to grab some to go!

Baked Desserts makes the absolute best cupcakes, cakes, pies, and breads!!! They feature a different cupcake each week with a unique twist and always delicious. My favorites include Pina Coloda, S'mores, and The Elvis. The staff is always friendly and loads of fun. Get your goodies to go or enjoy them in one of the comfy courtyard chairs. If you are in Berlin it is definitely worth a stop.
