Driving to get lunch, I was thinking Wendy's. Then I saw this on the side of the road and wanted to contribute to a local business. We are happy we did. 4.5 stars. My lunch companion can't stop raving about his Mexican pizza. My chimichanga is better than expected. Nice crispy shell with lots of veggies!! Good portion prices for $9 each. The salsa is really tasty as well. We will come back.

I ordered the chicken fajitas and honestly it looked like something I could make at home easily. None of the fajita ingredients were separated, everything was kind of just piled together one big plate. And it just didn't taste flavorful at all, it wasn't good. It was just "ok". Also the prices were expensive! I say drive a few exits down to Chevy's, they have really good food.

The service here is just deplorable. Like it really is the absolute worst. I've been here many times (my family likes to come here) and it is always bad. Yesterday, I was with one other person and they literally sat us and never came back. Two tables seated after us got their drinks before they even took our drink orders. I literally had to get up and ask the owner (he is always there) if he would please take our drink order. I could go on and on about the terrible service. The food is DECENT.

Bought this meal coupon from groupon some time ago. Decided I should use it foe date night during the week. Came on a Wednesday. Extremely friendly staff, always checking with you and making sure everything is perfect. We both ordered the same thing...so typical. Sierras platter of three enchiladas, chicken cheese and beef! Wonderful!!! We even got dessert sopiallas I think it's spelt. Everything was great! Would def be back! Go if you are thinking about it. Drinks are good too!
La Sierras was a middle of the road experience for me. The salsa is standard tex-mex restaurant salsa, edible for sure (ones that are just tomato soup tasting are inedible IMO) but I wouldn't ask for seconds. We started with the churriso fundito, a cheesy, sausagey mix that came across a little bland. I'd like it better with a different cheese mix (like chihuahua instead of the monterrey/? mix) or with spicer sausage. I ordered the mexican style tacos with chicken, corn shells: check, onion and cilantro: check, but just grilled chicken. Would have been stellar with tinga styled chicken or better tasting salsa to give it that extra go. The margarita pitcher was an excellent value from a size/cost standpoint, but uses standard mix margarita that isn't exciting enough for me to make it worth the calories.

#Best Salsa dip ever! Like Ever!! Went to this place with family. Had a great time, great food and polite service. Delicious salsa and nachos to start of with followed by bean and rice burrito and Mexican Pizza! Wow! I would say that this is one of the best Mexican places I have been too! Satiated all my flavor cravings. I would definitely recommend this place to all my peers and will surely come back to this place! #HappyPuppy!

Delicious enchiladas for a great price! Great service too! The waiters and waitresses kept our complimentary chips and salsa supply fresh, replacing the baskets whenever empty. They were friendly and inviting! Chicken enchilada 4.5/5 - chicken was yummy, moist and tender with a nice pulled texture. Refried beans were a little on the saltier side, though

I was enticed by Jerry S.'s review even though I am not a meat eater. I love quaint Mexican places. Even better, there was a Groupon for this place a couple of months ago. It wouldn't be hard to spend $30 if I brought my pal. We started with the cheese empanadas. Four small hot treats for $5.00. Not bad, but could have used more filling. Also, they reminded us of Totino's pizza rolls. I ordered the fish tacos ($14), my second favorite Mexican food after quesadillas. I didn't realize they were DIY tacos. After retreading the description, I realized that was what I was suppose to get. As shown interest photo, I received two large tilapia fillets atop three tortillas with the usual accompaniments. The fish was good, but I would not order this again because I am a traditionalist, and I like cabbage and chipotle sauce on mine. Don't judge me, but I love California Tortilla's version. My friend ordered the two street tacos ($8) - one chicken, one steak. She really liked them. We shared the dessert pictured. It was good, but I am a chocolate kind of gal. All in all, we got a lot of food for $34, made even more affordable thanks to Groupon.

Found Sierras thanks to Yelp. Drove right by it using my nav system without seeing the place. Park in the shopping center then walk around to the front and you will see it. Not a dive by any means, but simple. Very friendly wait staff, got seated right away. They have four categories of margaritas, each with about 6 sizes (from 12 oz to 64 oz). The price difference is not all that much. Had a 16" Cadillac (top end) for about $9. Pretty tasty, not too much syrupy "filler". Plenty of chips and interesting salsa were served. The salsa has lots of items in it, noticeably onions and cilantro. I normally don't care for cilantro, but this was really good. Got the three enchilada plate for dinner. The cheese enchilada was a bit undercooked as the cheese was still hard, but the beef and chicken along with the rice and beans were decent. I'd definitely stop here again and would recommend it.

This place is a hidden gem The food here is so good Try their combination platters This food is so good we went here 3 times this week!!! We used to go to uncle julios but it seems like lately they're cutting on ingredients Come to this place and try it I'm not bullshitting you

Thanks to Yelp, us out-of-towners found this hidden gem. Active dining area, great service, team wait-staff environment. The good is authentic Tex-Mex and delicious! The chili queso was a big hit! Our dinners included the beef nachos, chicken chimichanga, enchilada supreme and beef soft tacos. I was very pleasantly surprised that the prices were so reasonable. Margarita's were made from scratch, too - no machine drinks!

I've come here for family dinners, dinners with coworkers and lunches with coworkers. The food here is very tasty, the portion sizes are very good and there is plenty of seating. It can feel a bit cramped if you are with a large group. A few times when I have come here there's been a bit of a soapy smell that can be strange. But personally...I'd rather it be soapy than another smell. Wait staff will keep bringing you as much chips and salsa as you want. The salsa is not overly spicy but does have a kick (it's really tasty). The prices are decent (though every time I have come here the bill has been taken care of by somebody else). So you might say that I'm a bit biased as free food always tastes better. Though the food genuinely IS tasty. I've had taquitos here and enchiladas. Both were very good. Food is always served fresh/hot here. I think one person in my party had a minor issue with their dish but it was quickly and professionally taken care of. It's a good stop if you are local to Calverton and looking for a nice sit-down place to have tex-mex. It's not worth coming from a long distance to eat here, though. Being in the DC area there are so many options that are in the same category as Sierras Grill. No dig against this place, though. HEADS UP: Scammers like to frequent the parking lot for this restaurant. I've had the same scam attempted on me 4 times by the same man. He claims to be from a local fast casual restaurant like Five Guys and says his car is broken down. DO NOT give him money. He's a fraud!

I was disappointed in the salsa, possibly canned tomatoes and big hunks of maybe onion and cilantro. The chips were not greasy but had no salt. Then I was disappointed in the chili con quest ...pale with big pieces of jalapeño and tomato. Possibly more of a flour mixture than a cheese mixture. The rice was boring with 2 pieces of carrot?? On purpose or did it just fall there? The beans were ok. The ground beef and chicken in the supreme were overcooked and not very flavorful. I am pretty sure we wouldn't come back even if it was convenient. Try using some fresh stuff and your food would be much better! However, the service was good...

Food is well seasoned. I wish the server would smile, he looks like it's the end of the world. There where not a lot of people at the restaurant when I arrived and left Decor: 3 Food: 5 Service: 3

Your typical Tex-Mex restaurant. Nothing out of the ordinary. My food wasn't bad, but I was expecting better. Service wasn't bad. The owner even came over to our table and introduced himself. Nice family-owned establishment.

I LOVE this restaurant! Actually this is the best Mexican food ever to me. I ordered beef enchiladas and empanadas. Taste, amount are perfect. Room and tables are clean, the owner is friendly. I enjoyed talking to him because I wanted to tell him how good their food is. I highly recommend this place and of course I am going to come back to eat.

Just updating to say this place is still 4 stars and is very consistent. I have learned to find what you like at Sierra's and stick with it. The enchiladas are the best in the area. Some of my coworkers don't even look at the menu they just always get chicken enchiladas. I usually order Cheese Enchilada, Pork Tamale, Mini Chimi rice and beans. That is a solid order with a good price. I do not care for the Chile Relleno, The California Burrito, or the Beef Soft Taco. The Plantains are killer, the Quesadilla is good, chips and salsa yay. This is a family owned business. The family is very engaged with the community. I met the owners daughter through the work she does with UMD for special needs kids. Alma is a sweetheart. I don't know the owners name, but he is awesome. Thanks Sierra's grille, you are my holdover until I get back to California.

I LOVE this place. The chicken enchiladas and pork tamal are delicious. The beans and rice are just right, and they compliment the chips and salsa that they provide at the beginning. The only downside to this place is that they don't have horchata.

Meh, had better. The guac tasted like it was cut with something to make more, not pure avocado. The carne asada which usually is skirt steak, here was a thin slice of ribeye that was greasy, fatty and sorta salty. The service was not great disappearing after dropping the entree. I would have ordered another margarita if someone came back but they didn't. Even the table chips and salsa was uninspiring. Would not make a point to come here again.

This is the best Mexican food east of California! When we lived in Maryland this place was a regular stop for us because the food tasted so much like the food we knew in California! The place is clean and the wait staff is attentive but the owner is awesome! He regularly comes out into the restaurant to greet customers and make sure they are enjoying their meal! Fast forward to 10 years after moving back to California and we are again eating here when in town for a conference. It is amazing and tastes just the same as we remembered! I would highly recommend this restaurant. Great food in a wonderful place for a good price!

One con and an annoying one at that, is their parking situation, which reminds me of Lotte and Hmart on a weekend - total madness, crunched spaces and poor drivers After looking for a parking space, you'll be screaming for one of their margaritas! I must confess that I'm not particularly crazy about Mexican food, so for me to give any Mexican restaurant 5 stars, is astonishing. We went with a Mexican friend, who vowed for the authenticness of this restaurant. We started off with chips, served alongside a spicy cheese sauce. Creamy, spicy, cheesy - we were fighting over the scraps of crushed chips - to get the last bites. I ordered a little of this and that. Crunchy pastries, filled with cilantro/beef, pork filled tamales & fried plantains - plus, I also sampled the hubby's, enormous chimichanga, topped with fresh pico de gallo, served with guacamole, seasoned with lemon juice. The pork was tender and the corn tamales, toothsome and homey and the plantains, dense, sweet and filling. Our friend greatly appreciated his meal and even more so - his margaritas! And lastly, the dessert our friend recommended, arrived. Beautiful crisp, puffy triangles of fried dough, dusted with powdered sugar, prettily arranged around a huge mound of explosively delicious vanilla ice cream. If you can brave the parking lot, then you're in for a real treat!

Delicious....I had the enchiladas and chile relleno....the reason the lost a star was because the chile wasn't that great and the chips were stale....but we kept eating because the salsa was flavorful... Hot food was piping hot....q Will def be back....

This place is awesome and has been a local favorite of mine for over 10 years. The food is always fresh and prepared well. The servers and staff are always courteous and anxious to help. Chips and salsa are a great appetizer while you wait but your wait won't be long because the food will arrive at your table almost as soon as you order.

The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. We tried the Sierra Platter which consists of three enchiladas one each of the following; chicken, beef and cheese. You also get a side of beans and rice. Our order was to-go which was ready in about 10 minutes. The food was delicious and seemed a little more authentic to what you usually find throughout the MD area. If I'm in the area I'll be dropping by again.

Loved this place. Love the old man (owner), so nice and friendly, that greets me at the door to take my order. The younger manager (son?) not so nice, kind of rude. Repeat customer for their chicken fajita. Guacamole is delicious. Awesome that chips come with takeout! Update and Negative: Bought a groupon for dining in only by accident, when I wanted the take out one. The younger gentleman manager (son?) wouldn't make an exception even though I eat here 2-3 times a month. This has now deterred me coming back. It was an honest mistake and they still get their money.

The sign says Taqueria, but this in no way resembles the traditional street food style that name implies. It's a quint little family style sit-down restaurant, with Mexican art, cow skulls, and photos on the walls and Latino ballads playing at a level that allows conversation. The chips were as good as any I have had: fresh, crisp at first bite and stone ground texture and flavor following and an authentic hint of alkali. The salsa had a nice texture and a few chunks of onion and tomato, with a whiff of smokiness that suggested that the moderate heat came from chipotle. The trucha asada (grilled trout) was perfectly cooked, with crispy skin and moist flaky flesh. It was accompanied by tender rice and a refined pico de gallo. This is one of the most authentic meals I've has north of the border. I will be back to sample the border style dishes and margaritas. I live about a mile away, so maybe when the weather is as nice as it was today I'll walk! Ole!

We came here for lunch and it was pretty good so we decided to come for dinner...and after experiencing it at dinner time we will probably never come here again. There is something offputting about seeing other people who, a) came 15 minutes after you, and b) have a bigger party, receive their food before you do. They were very busy because the food is pretty good (which why I still have them 2 stars) but we were there for over an hour and a half, forcing us to change our movie plans after. We waited 15 minutes for the waiter to take our order and when he failed to do so, we had to ask the hostess to let him know we were ready. A Carne asada cooked medium should not take 45 minutes to make. And even though it came out way over cooked which made it really dry, it still shouldn't have taken so long because the meat is very thin. And of course they had to take the entree back because they did not get it right. If you're going to charge $16 for a Carne asada you should probably make it worth the money because most other places charge no more than $12. Needless to say, we had to flag someone down for our check as well BTW this wait might not have been so bad had our waiter checked up on us from time to time. Or at the very least apologize for the unconvenience.

I've been coming to Sierra's Grill for 20 years because they have consistently good, unpretentious TexMex and good margaritas. Tonight was a surprise. From the moment we entered it was clear they'd made a change for the better. Same good food and drink but the service and atmosphere were kicked up several notches.

Traveling from Richmond to Albany makes one hungry. Saw other's reviews of this place and figured 'why not'. Lucky me! The food is excellent, the staff are courteous and the atmosphere authentic without 'jumping the burro'. I had the grilled chicken quesadilla and my driver had the chicken burrito: both were spot-on. Stop in, get fed, be happy. Service was a bit slow, but if you want fast go to Taco Bell...

Randomly tried this place for the first time yesterday. Never seen it before, I was actually heading to wendys and made a quick U-turn when I saw this Mexican restaurant. The chips and dip were good. We ordered buffalo chicken empanadas, they were amazing but small. Not your regular size empanadas. We both ordered enchiladas.... Probably the best ones I've had in a while! Only bad thing I can say is I didn't like their cups but that is a personal preference. Nothing irks me more than those Amber cups. Other than that, this place is awesome!

No vegetarian options, had to leave the place after eating chips and some drinks. Not even willing to serve grilled vegetables on the side. Vegetarians only have cheese, beans and rice as an option. Doesn't help much. Went to El Azteca few miles away and loved the food they had to serve.

Talk about awesome. Don't judge a book by its cover, this quaint little Mexican place will blow your socks off. The salsa is very spicy and had an interesting style to it. Definitely falls under the category of being a Tex-Mex place but was very flavorful and fresh. Ate a California burrito, one of my all-time favorites.

We were visiting the DC area for a wedding and needed a place that would accommodate a large group. We brought a group of 19 in. So I have lots of food to review, though I don't remember the names of all of them. The chicken enchiladas were probably the best I've ever had! My husband had the princess something or another (exact name unknown, but you'll know it when you see it). It too was a force to be reckoned with. Someone ordered the arroz con pollo (again, name comes into question but it is listed right below the princess something or another on the menu). Again delicious! My daughter orders this with shrimp instead of chicken and a side of tortillas to put the Stuff into. I prefer it this way. Kids got the "chicken fingers". Now from a parents perspective, I can appreciate these being REAL chicken tenders made in house and not the prepackaged, processed, form-pressed frozen ones. But the kids (not my own) did not. We had to rationalize with them that this is what a chicken tender is SUPPOSED to look like! People ordered tacos, nachos, quesadillas, etc. all were reported to be awesome. Guacamole could have used a little more lime, but I like mine pretty limey! Jalapeño poppers were also made in house, not prepackaged. Another appetizer we had were the flautas (rolled up chicken meat in corn tortillas). Very good! Perhaps the reason I can't remember the names of everything is because we ordered a few pitchers of margaritas. They aren't the stiffest margaritas I've ever had, but they were tasty. This place was so good, we went back again a couple days later. Easy to miss because of its location in the shopping center, but worth the bit of aggravation we experienced.

I think the best thing about this place is the fact that I can easily walk to it anytime I want because it's less than a quarter mile from where I live. You can't beat that location! On top of that, the food here is excellent. The traditional guacamole is nice and they have free chips and salsa. That may not be a big deal in a lot of places, but I have been to more than one restaurant that gives you one for free and then charges you ala carte for any others you want. Good thing to, because I think we finished off at least 7 or 6 bowls of chips and salsa (hey, we had 6 people that last time). I had the Treo Fajitas the last time. One thing I noticed about the fajitas is they added broccoli to the vegetables. I love broccoli, so it didn't bother me one bit. Additionally, the nature of the broccoli absorbed the flavors of the meat and added a lot of flavor to the dish, like some sort of delicious Mexican sponge. Just a tip though, if you have kids and you order the 'chicken fingers' make sure you realize that they're actually grilled strips of chicken. These are not chicken tenders like you think they are.

Nice spot for some good tex mex and authentic latin food. Margaritas are to die for. Waiters are nice enough and offer good service. Owner is always present and engages with customer instead of sitting in the background. I think i will become a regular.

If I gave 5 star reviews yet(I'm still new to yelp) this place might get one. However my motto is theres always room for improvement. Thats just my personal opinion. This place is great though. The food/staff/service have always been on point, and im always satisfied with my experience when i go. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, and have recommended this restaurant to family and friends. Even the bathrooms are clean..lol and that says alot! Especially about the people running this establishment. They seem to take alot of pride in this restaurant. It shows! I've been here many times and I will return! 4.8 's we'll leave some room for improvement just because anything is possible.

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm Yes and YES! One of my new fav Mexican spots! Came here for Father's Day on a whim and my family loved it so much we came back for my birthday. By now you probably know I was Mexican in my former life and my family is from San Antonio, Texas so we are all about authentic Mexican. Sierras Grill has met the mark! My first visit I got the Carne Asada, which was alright but not prize winning worthy. My second/third trip I got both beef and cheese enchiladas. Can we say yummy! They may be some of the best enchiladas I've had that aren't homemade by my mom. If you're lucky, you may even find a Groupon special going on and they also have a text club that I just found out about that texts you specials from time to time. My family has also gotten salads (which were beautiful and tasty) and quesadillas which were pretty good. Definitely give Sierras a try, I'm sure you won't be sorry.

This is far from authentic Mexican food! Chile rellenos are made out of canned Ortega chiles, beef enchiladas made out of ground beef, tacos made with boxed taco shells and served soggy that they fall apart when you pick them up!! Save time & money and go to Taco Bell!! Btw...Caesars salad comes loaded with black olives...wtf?!

Listening to a fellow non eater on yelp I got the "veggie" burrito but its really just broccoli... So I asked could I have both beans and broccoli. I got it and it was just okay. The chips were not fresh/warm but the salsa was good. What stood out is their customer service.... Not good. They talked a lot to the regulars but no one ever asked how was my food and I had to ask for help each time I got it.... Can I order please? Can I receive a to go box? Not much flexibility on options either.

I came here because of my "Mexican food experts" who love this place. It did not disappoint. The Margaritas where fresh (not from that powdered stuff). It is Cinco de Mayo week, so there were many specials that were amazing. Friends liked the chicken tacos. We all loved the refried beans (not made w/ meat)! We came back 3 days later to do it all again (before the deals ran out!) VERY tasty!

We had a quick dinner here after one of my husband's hockey games at the Gardens Ice House. Got there at 8:40 and we were out by 9:10. The restaurant is comfy and the service is efficient. Salsa ranks up there with the best, especially if you like spicy. I got two chicken soft tacos, pretty standard. My hubby got a bean burrito and our son had a cheese quesadilla. Everything was solid and flavorful. We liked that the servings weren't massive and the plates weren't overloaded with rice and beans. Wasn't in the mood for sangria but will definitely try it next time. And hopefully we can spend more time too!

AMBIANCE: I tried this quaint little restaurant for the first time last night. When we walked in, my fiance and I were a little skeptical because there wasn't anybody there but we were directed to another dining area that was starting to fill up quickly. SPECIALS: The first thing we noticed was the happy hour on the flyers on the table said it was from 2PM-8PM...SCORE! The beers were $2.75 and the margaritas (frozen or on the rocks) were $2.95. We tried the mango margarita and it was delicious. FOOD: Onto the food...we ordered the Tacos del Mar (fish tacos) and the chicken burrito a la carte because we didn't want too much food. The fish tacos came as DIY tacos with a whole filet of grilled tilapia and 3 warm tortillas so that you could dress it however you wish with rice, beans, salsa, and guacamole. The flavor was really good and there was plenty of food. The chicken burrito was a very decent size for a la carte and just had chicken and rice inside and it was topped with a sauce and some cheese. I preferred the fish tacos more but the burrito was good as well...just wish it was grilled chicken inside the burrito but it tasted more like rotisserie type of chicken so it was a little on the dry side that day. SERVICE: There are plenty of servers which is nice because our water glasses were always full and the servers were attentive.

Great chicken nachos, great service. Salsa is too spicy, water had a bleach taste too it, tacos and enchiladas where a bit bland. As we were leaving we heard someone complain about the salsa and the waiter offered them the mild salsa. Maybe they should mention there is more than 1 option when they bring you chips and salsa rather than waiting for you to complain.

Yay found a new go to place for my tex-mex fix!! I have eaten in 1 time and picked up a to-go order another...both experiences were great. There is a lot of seating in the restaurant so space is definitely not an issue if you have a group. The waitstaff were attentive and helpful. Tried the Buffalo chicken empanada's and they are awesome!! Tried to get them again on my to-go order but they were out of them...sigh...The pricing may seem a bit high at first glance but here they actually serve good size portions of good food for the price. I finally found a place that serves a LARGE Chimichanga as I hate all the tortilla of ordering 2...will definitely order again...the chips and salsa provided were very good, although I must say the salsa is HOTTTTTTTT!! but...it's so tasty that I kept eating it and eating it...and you get the idea...haha!! Overall I was very satisfied with all aspects and will definitely return for more!!

I visited this place just today for the first time. My review is admittedly bias because I LOVE Mexican culture. Upon walking in the restaurant, I immediately felt at home. You will probably notice the nice art work of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera on the walls, and the festive sound of Mexican music in the air. My visit was in the early afternoon, so the restaurant was basically empty. I chose a menu and ordered to go. I was greeted by a very welcoming gentleman who was quick to take my order. I ordered the beef burrito and tacos. The prices are very reasonable, and I think you get a lot for what you actually pay. The food is absolutely delicious and authentic Mexican fare. I am very interested in returning to the restaurant to taste other food choices. They seem to have a well stocked bar, so I want to try their drinks as well. As I left the restaurant, I felt as if I exited a portal that gave me temporary access to a small part of Mexico. Cool.

Saved our valentine's day! We were on our way to DC for a nice valentines day dinner when the snow derailed our plans. We stumbled upon this gem! The service was great and the food was delicious. We had tacquitos as an appetizer and they were great. Highly recommend! Good prices and lots of food!

Really good mexican food. I dont normally eat the rice and beans that come with the burrito dishes but this place had rice and beans that tasted really really good. Relaxed atmosphere. They keep the temperature very cool (which is great in August!) Only con: price per quantity of food. I've seen better. I'm suprised they dont offer cheaper lunch specials at the very least.

Quiet and down to earth with decent food. Although Sierra's is in a strip center (actually on the outside perimeter) it actually serves pretty decent Mexican style food combined with traditional American fare. The service is quick and friendly and the food is served hot. The Martgueritas come in two sizes (12 oz and 16 oz) and always manage to get my wife a little loopy so they must be good. The atmosphere is nice without being fancy and the prices are decent for what you get. The artwork on the walls is interesting, too. If you don't want to put up with the noise and prices of a place like Chevy's this is a great alternative.

I never knew this place was 10 minutes from me?!?! Thanks to another reviewer and Yelp friend Shawn M. I now know a few Mexican restaurants in the Silver Spring area! I visited Sierras on a Monday afternoon, the place was empty which was no big deal. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a waiter and handed a menu to review. I ordered an enchilada and a chimichanga, about 8 min later the food was already bagged and ready to go! Both dishes were just ok, however my coworker thought the chimichanga was excellent! The food wasn't horrible but I have tasted fresher Mexican dishes. It tasted like the dishes were pre-made and reheated. However, I will return and try something new to give them a second chance.

Great service and very friendly staff. Authentic. The salsa was very good. The beef empanadas were awesome. The guac, rice and beans were pretty good. Chicken flaunta was good. I think the beef was a little under seasoned. Maybe they are going light on the spices to appeal to to their clientel? Overall its a good place that I will return to.

I used to enjoy eating at Sierra Grill back in the day...but now that I've lived in CA for 10+ years my standards have changed. The salsa is mediocre at best; the food doesn't seem as fresh or flavorful as it could be. The service is good - the staff are friendly and quick - but that doesn't make up for the lack of quality in the food. Next time I'm back in town, if Dad says "let's get Mexican food" I will say no to Sierra.

I highly recommend the San Antonio special. Best cheese enchiladas this Texan has ever had! Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. One of my local favorites.

Written by a third grade student at Beltsville Adventist School: My first time at Sierra's Grill was amazing, let me tell you why...When I first walked inside Sierra's Grill I knew I was in for a treat. The walls were fantastic they had cool little decorations. Then a nice waitress took my family and me to a seat. The tables were clean and the seats were warm, I was already having a great time. Then she asked us what we would like to drink and before you could snap your fingers she was back with our drinks, and she didn't get them wrong. Then my mom went to the bathroom and it was a sparkly wonderland. When she came back, the food was already on our table and she thought, wow. Then it was time to eat and when I took that first bite I almost zoned out, it was so good. It had great flavor and the beans were so nice and warm. The only downside thing I have to say about Sierra's Grill is sometimes cold in there. Until this day SIERRA'S GRILL IS #1 !!

I tried this restaurant for the first time tonight. I typically won't try new Mexican restaurants because I already have a favorite place, but a Groupon deal persuaded me to try it. I'm glad I did; I had an enjoyable experience and would go back. The good: -The food is is really good, and the portions are huge. I got the California chicken burrito and my husband got the beef chimichanga. We would both order them again, but would like to try something new next time. -The service was great, everyone was friendly and food and drinks came quickly - There were some regular customers that chit-chatted with a waiter on their way in - the fact that people keep coming back is a good sign The average: -The margarita was okay, but not great. I would get it again, though, because it was reasonably priced. The bad: -There was nothing truly bad about this restaurant. I intend to go back. The only thing that I was unsure about was that the menu said that happy hour is 4-6 and the flyers on the table said that happy hour is 2-8.

This is what happens when you're trying to drive South on 95 and realize that you need to use the bathroom, are hungry, and really aren't thrilled about sitting in all those brake lights coming up ahead. I veered off and decided against the normal fast food stops. Instead I tried out Sierras Grill & Taqueria. Clean bathroom. Plus! Chips and salsa waiting for me. Plus! Water that kinda had a soapy residue taste? Eh, load your washer better or use less dish-washing liquid please. It was minimal but I think the reason why no one really cared was because no one was drinking water. This is a margarita place! Now I know. I saw this interesting cheese and broccoli small burrito on the menu. Who orders that??? I guess people like me :-) Sooo good. Who knew. It was perfect to keep me going and not be full when I got to my friend's house. They would've been really mad if I didn't have an appetite when I arrived. It's so easy to make at home too...just need to figure out their light sauce/salsa they use. I love hole in the walls.

We showed up at 8 PM on a Wed. night with nine people and no reservation. Half of the group had never been to Sierras before. Everyone was impressed. The food and drinks were great and service was excellent. Margaritas are still the best value ever.

There was nothing special about the food at this restaurant. In addition, we were hungry when we left. Usually there is too much food at Mexican restaurants (or at least, enough). Tonight, there was such a small amount of meat on the Chicken Barbacoa platter, it would have fit in two shot glasses. Not impressed.

All I can say is wow. I was looking for just a hole in the wall Mexican resturant to visit to celebrate my son's new karate belt and came across this place on groupon. I can easily say that I had the BEST experience in this restaurant food wise and service wise. We had 3 servers that were so attentive to our needs. The staff was so patient and so kind and genuinely happy to service us. The food came our hot and timely and was bursting with flavor. When I asked my wife what she thought I tried to prepare myself with her negative review for everything possiple, she told me she would give this place a 9.5. Lol jokingly when I asked her why is wasn't a 10 she told me that the food was so good that she feels obligated to eat the whole plate and that's not good for her diet. Lol. This place is now my absolute favorite mexican place in the area. It's one of those places that has everything you need plus alot of tequila. What more can you ask for. Lol.

tl;dr - Get the California Burrito, it was tasty. Bring a coat. Went here twice for lunch when I was on a work trip in the area. The California Burrito was very good with the perfect ratio of rice, beans, chicken, guac, and sour cream, mmm. Sadly, I got the chicken enchilada / beef taco combo on my second trip. Semi-bland chicken in the chilada and the taco beef was so greasy it broke through the bottom of the hard taco shell (which made it a taco sandwich I guess?) The rice and beans were meh, didn't have much flavor. The chips were under-salted, salsa tasted ok but needed more cilantro and was not chunky enough. Admittedly I am spoiled after living in San Antonio where there is real Tex-Mex. Service was good, although it took a while to get the check on the second visit. Oh, and bring a coat because it was cold in there (went in April).

Good Mexican food for local city. However appetizers are pricey comparing to Austin. Glad I live out there where most places are affordable and reasonable. Salsa is very hot and spicy. My nose is running!! Drink lot of Pepsi. Grinning.

Why is it so hard to find decent Mexican food in the DC area? Do they they really need to make everything as bland as possible? Is Chipotle really the best place to get Mexican/ Tex-Mex food? The answer appears to be yes... Sierra's is not a bad spot for lunch considering the neighborhood- its chief competitors on the block are McD's, Wendy's and TacoBell/KFC. The service was friendly enough but struggled heavily with English. And to sum it up, the food was bland and tasteless. Not much else I can say really...

My husband and I went here and the staff is friendly, the food is in generous amounts and warm and tasty, plenty to order off the menu, the salsa is a bit runny and hot, as in spicy, and the chips are good, not salty enough; Prices are good, like 12-15 a plate. I ran into a friend, as it was our first time at this restaurant, and she was with her hubby and parents, and said they go here all the time and it's been a family chime for a few years and love it. So that was good news before we started ordering! The only complaints I have is that we had to literally ask for the check. I don't know if we are hurry people, or it just took a while, or what, but we asked for it and it took a few minutes before we got it back after "paying" with our credit card.... hm. Also they have like their whole staff running around, with one getting chips and drinks and tabs, one clearing tables, and one waiter...and then mixing up jobs; so we only saw the waiter like half time. But anyways we will be going here again, next time, get a couple margaritas they looked fantastic ;)

Here was my experience. Service was slow. Very slow, and from what I could tell, one side of the restaurant was empty. But beyond slow, they weren't very attentive. They brought one tiny bowl of chips and semi-okay salsa. For 4 of us. And one bowl is all you get. Because once your order, you don't see anybody again. Until the food arrives. The menu said complimentary refills on soft drinks, but don't expect the wait staff to give extra of those either. If you can find a member of the wait staff. They must be trying to keep costs down. When the food came, we took the opportunity to ask for more Coke. He said I will bring you a pitcher. We said great. He brought the pitcher. Handed it to us for us to pour. And then took it. We foolishly assumed he was going to leave it. The food was, on the other hand, good. It wasn't fantastic or great, but it was good. Everybody liked their meal. Paying the check took quite some time as well. It's certainly better than the local competition (KFC, Taco Bell, Wendy's), but I will go one more exit or two next time.

Sierra's is our local Tex-Mex restaurant. We end up here several times a year because it's one of the closest non-chain restaurants to our home and sometimes you just need a casual spot where you can quickly pop in, down a margarita, and then get the baby home by bedtime. Here's what I like about Sierra's: Decent margaritas at a decent price, especially if you're with a group and can share a pitcher Although the salsa isn't spicy at all, it's still pretty tasty Nice combination platter option that allows you to do a 1, 2, or 3 item combo with rice and beans for a fair price It's kid-friendly. It has plastic table cloths and it looks like it hasn't been renovated in a decade or two, so it feels very casual and laid back. Did I mention how close it is to home? Here's what I don't like about Sierra's: The food is fine, but there's nothing special here that I crave (other than the chips and salsa and margaritas which, let's be honest, are more or less the same at every Mexican restaurant). Each time we eat here I long for the real Tex-Mex of my home state. I suspect that very little of the food is made fresh by the restaurant. Case in point: last time we were here I asked for some sliced avocado for my baby. The waitress brought me a side of guacamole, and when I said that I wanted an actual sliced avocado (and that I was happy to pay extra for it), she went and got the manager. He informed me that they have no avocados, only guacamole. Um, what? What kind of Mexican food restaurant doesn't have avocados? What that tells me is that it's very, very likely that the guacamole dip is coming pre-made in a baggie from Sysco Foods. That's fine at TGI Friday's, but not what I want from a Mexican restaurant. Our neighbor dined here recently and had a similar complaint about the red sauce on her dish tasting pretty much like a can of tomato sauce had just been cracked opened and poured over the plate. The service is hit-or-miss. It's usually attentive enough, but not always friendly. Overall verdict: I wouldn't make a special trip here from elsewhere in the area, but if you are in the immediate neighborhood this is probably the best option for a sit-down meal.

I have been eating at this restaurant since 1992. The food is excellent. The offerings are far superior to those served by these Americanized, so-called Mexican food chains. I especially like the vegetarian burrito. Portion sizes are generous. Free refills on drinks, chips and (excellent) salsa. Good value for the money, too.

Great atmosphere, clean, comfortable, and of course, yummy Mexican food! The young waiter was attentive, respectful, and friendly. He did a quick little bow after taking an order or instruction. Warm chips and salsa were immediately provided, and I thought they were perfect. I enjoyed the music, an expressive and soulful Mexican genre. I was hungry, but took a chance on a less expensive "a la carta" menu item, the "mini chimi," a fried burrito that was served piping hot. I cut my fork into it and a delicious mix of chicken, beef, and cheese oozed from inside. The dish included a generous side of guacamole, sour cream, lettuce, and chopped tomatoes. All tasted fresh. Before I left, I used the bathroom, and found it immaculate. Can't wait to bring my girlfriend next time next try their entrees!

i was really impressed with this place. its a hole in the wall but totally fine. im not even that big of a fan of mexican because 90% of the time if you've seen one you've seen them all. however if you took this menu out and tried to place it at another you cannot. its actually creative and unlike many places they are just swapping meats/sauces (i should not have said that probably) but you can tell they put some thought into it. staff was really friendly and its a tad hard to find. you have to walk along the right side of the building and go behind it (there's a sidewalk) as the front door faces a slanted perpendicular road. jeans: OK BY FAR order: waitstaff

I absolutely LOVE this place!! I have been going there for YEARS and years!! The staff is always super friendly, and helpful!! The food is delicious!! This is a quiet little hole in the wall Mexican grill and I love it! As long as you don't come here expecting the best Mexican food ever (which by some of the reviews about this place, they did) you should have a great meal and time. This place has just what you need, good food, big portions, friendly service, and a great atmosphere. Also, you can't forget about the free chips! I will say that their original margarita is amazing but STAY AWAY from their strawberry one. It is just down right foul.

My boyfriend and I tried this out the other night with a Groupon. The atmosphere and staff were both super pleasant. Our server was the nicest I've had in a while and was very attentive without being pushy. My bf had a chicken chimichanga and I had enchiladas. The portion sizes were just right. These enchiladas were the best I've had around here! Very cheesy& fresh! Finally, upon getting the bill, they gave us an amazing chocolate dessert on the house. We will definitely be going back!

This poor review is totally my fault. To Sierra Grill, I apologize. You see, it isn't your fault that your food isn't Tex-Mex, or even close, as you state on your menu. It was totally my fault, as someone who loves Tex-Mex, comes from San Antonio (where those chili enchiladas that had jalapenos on them with some melted cheese in the tortillas you called the "San Antonio Special" most likely were supposed to mimic), and knows good Tex-Mex, for believing you could be as good as the Yelpers said you were. The Spanish rice had no color, tomato, bell pepper, or onion pieces in it - it was just slightly (and I mean slightly) orange colored rice. There was no flavor. My beef enchilada was made with a store-bought corn tortilla. The ground beef had no comino, no ajo - it tasted like ground beef without even any salt. I ordered a chile relleno with the enchilada, and that was also flavorless. I had to use the cheese from the relleno to try and make my enchilada worth my time. The salsa was - I'm not kidding - tomato sauce with water, pepper, and bits of cilantro, bell pepper (I think) and whole pieces of garlic that they tried to chop up. I give the place two stars for the friendliness and the attempt to run a Tex-Mex joint in a place so far up north. But, you know, Los Barrios sells a cookbook, where anyone can learn some Tex-Mex secrets for like, 12 bucks or something.....

First time at Sierra's. The salsa was not very good. The salad was better. The entree was ok. The service was overall very mediocre. Furthermore there was a hair in the meal of one of my friends. The manager was very rude about it, and did not offer anything to compensate for this. I have never seen such poor service before. I will not be going back!

In my nearly 50 years, I have learned a thing or two. One thing is, when it comes to Mexican restaurants, always stop at the one that you say to yourself as you pass by "Looks sort of dumpy on the outside, but I'll bet they have killer margs and salsa." After all, what is a Mexican restaurant without that? Another thing....If you distrust your first instinct, trust the traffic. If they are packed by 5:30 on week night, you have nobody to blame but yourself if you keep passing by without stopping. Grandma always told me, an empty parking lot is a bad sign. We rolled into Calverton late on a Monday after 3 long days of traveling from L.A. to our new home somewhere in the Greenbelt area, which at the time, had yet to be determined. We drove by this little strip mall several times on our way to the McDonalds across the street from our hotel, and those familiar Mexican restaurant cravings would grab me every time we passed. After a few days of McDonalds and other assorted fast (yuck) foods, we let our intuition guide us. We were not disappointed. Based on a few recommendations from fellow yelpers, we ordered a pitcher of Cadillac Margaritas. The chips and salsa were delivered to our table hastily and with the confidence that there was nothing else that needed doing at that moment. The margs were delicious and hit the spot. Not the best we have ever had but let me tell you, they were far from the worst, and coming from L.A., home of the $12 Top-shelf variety, these were about the best value I have had in a long time...since we used to drink them by the $12 pitcher back in Ann Arbor. The chips were crisp, not at all greasy and with just the right amount of salt. The salsa...well, it has been a long time since I have had salsa that good. I will say it was the best I have had since we left Indiana, and that was most affectionately referred to as "crack". Never had any better, but this salsa was a very close second, so much so that if I never got back to Ft. Wayne for my crack, I could live on this quite happily. Nice fresh tomato base with fresh green onion and chilies and maybe a hint of cayenne and a touch of garlic? However, as one yelper pointed out, it did lack that cilantro flavor that seems to marry all the ingredients. Maybe that is why it is second? Still, I would not change a thing less it compromise the recipe. In any case, the heat factor was very present but not at the expense of flavor. Well done! Their steak fajita burrito was wicked wonderful, loaded with cheese and strips of marinated beef and carmelized onions that were tender and savory. We also had an appetizer consisting of melted cheese (Colby-Jack?) topped with Mexican chorizo, served with warm flour tortillas. At first, I was not thrilled with the choice of cheese, but it worked very well and was melt-in-your-mouth yumminess. I also tried the Grilled Chicken Fajita Salad. That was a bit of a disappointment in large part, I think, because I had tried all the others first. It was decent and fresh but with the chicken on the bland side, it did not stand up to the incredible flavor of the others. All portions were ample and I could have survived quite well on the margs and even split the burrito with hubby. As was mentioned in other reviews, it was cold in there, though we were one of the first to arrive, but by the time we left, the place was packed and temperature was lovely. This is Mexican grill food the way it is supposed to be...nothing pretentious, just good Mexican-American fare with a great margarita (or 3) to wash it all down with. Prices were fair and met my criteria for the perfect little Mexican joint with the bar tab outstripping the food fare. Service was friendly and prompt. Our server was patient and explained everything with great pride and professionalism. When we told him how much we loved the salsa, we were greeted by the manager (Owner/chef?) who seemed wholly offended that we deemed his salsa second best. We had a lovely chat and he must rest assured that he has nothing to be ashamed about when it comes to being second to the "Crackhouse". This will be a favorite of ours and intend to make it into a 5 joint establishment by the time we leave this area....we did it for the "Crackhouse"...we can do it for Sierras "dispensary". I am jonesin' for a fix at this very moment.

I LOVE this place! My co-workers and I are lunch regulars here. You have to go for the chips and salsa but the rest of the menu is fantastic as well. Great portions - reasonable prices and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The place is always busy at lunch time!

Mmmm. Fish tacos. That's all I need to say. Where in the DC area are you not only going to find a fish taco but a damn fine fish taco? Sierras Grill & Taqueria in Beltsville is where. The atmosphere of this little hidden away restaurant is a typical Latin restaurant, but the food is divine. I ordered the rainbow trout which was seasoned and pan fried and served with rice and fresh pico de gallo. After my first bite and declaring it good, those were the last words I spoke to my fellow diners until my plate was clean. Sierras Grill is tucked away on the side of a shopping area so can be a challenge to find, but I'm going to seek this little place out again. Fish is good.

Went to this place just the other day. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and food was authentic, not like some of the cheap places out there. The atmosphere is super casual and relaxing. The only complaint was that service was a little too relaxed. Great place that I would definitely try again!

This is one of the best mexican places I have ever been! I was introduced to this place by several friends who frequent this place (so much so that the owner knows them by name---since he is actually present---and greets them whenever he sees them). They are always efficient and incredibly accommodating to food requests (some of my friends really do have the weirdest requests....) and service has been timely. They have great margaritas---tons of flavors as well as quality levels based on the type of tequila--- and even have pitchers which are often better than most others happy hours prices. This will be one of those places that I will happily drive up from Virginia to eat there. I've ordered most on the menu or had it by proxy (a friend ordering it) and I have never had anything that was not simply delicious.

It's easy to look past this places, it's a small storefront restaurant in a strip mall. But, do yourself a favor and eat here one night. Great service and even better food. The margarita's are the best I have had. The homemade salsa is delicious, I would highly recommend the Acapulco Princess. All in all, this place is worth the trip.

Ugh. Everything tasted weird. What odd spice are they using? We had the chile con queso appetizer: lots of chili pieces, which was nice, but the cheese was an odd texture and actually tasted like it had chicken broth in it. Yuk. I had shrimp fajitas, while my husband had the combination fajitas. They came with tons of onions, which was nice, but also tons of bell peppers, which was not so nice, and BROCCOLI, which I don't think I've ever had in fajitas before (and never missed them). All components of the fajitas had this very odd spice on them - it couldn't be OREGANO, could it? It was awful. The refried beans, again, tasted like they had chicken broth in them. The rice had no taste at all. The chips were too thick. The guacamole seemed to be more of a ground up paste. Basically it was just weird tasting from beginning to end, like someone in the kitchen was experimenting, and not in a good way. Go anywhere else, go to Taco Bell. It would be better. Pluses: Friendly service. The end. We did see one funny thing, which is why I gave one star (in addition to the fact that Yelp won't let me give no stars). An older couple came over to the table next to us and the waitress put down chips and salsa, and the guy got all panicked and said "we don't want that! we don't want that!" referring to the salsa, and his wife said very loudly "too spicy! too spicy!" It was hilarious. It was like they thought the salsa would attack them and burn them with its insane spicyness. Of course it goes without saying that the supposed spicyness of the salsa was undetectable. Just push it aside, people! Salsa can't hurt you unless you actually eat it! I don't freak out when I see pepper on my table. I just. Don't. Eat it.

I must tell you my husband to be found this place with some members of our church and decided to share this whole in the wall restaurant with me. Actually, it is where he proposed (the second time). lol. Anyways, our first visit was wonderful, maybe it was because it was a night filled with beautiful words that will be ingrained in my heart and soul forever. Ok, enough violins playing in the background, time to review. There are two sides to the restaurant. When you enter there is a bar and tables, the other side has a dinner atmosphere. The decorations on the wall are authentic and full of cultural pride. This is a tex mex restaurant so cheese and sauce are staples in many of their dishes. We were offered chips and salsa upon arrival. The chips were light and crisp, salted perfectly. The salsa was full of flavor and had a aromatic roasted taste. I requested a cherry Pepsi, which they don't carry on tap, but the server made me one with grenadine without even questioning my request. This was just the beginning of his over the top service. Probably the best Roy Rogers I have ever had. We ordered arroz con pollo and their house special burrito. Unfortunately, I cannot pronounce it, let a lone spell it. Both dishes were great but the burrito was mouth watering and smothered in their homemade sauce and melted cheese. The Burrito was served with some of the best re fried beans I have ever tasted. The rice was good, I am just not a big fan of the rice served in most Latin restaurants. The arroz con pollo was good. Ample chicken and vegetables. My husband to be is fluent in Spanish and had an enjoyable conversation with the owner, Louis. Fortunately, I can understand, just can't verbalize it well enough to enter a real Spanish conversation, luckily for the men. We ordered coffee to end the night. Regular coffee. I had anticipated dinning at another restaurant and enjoying a good Cuban Coffee but the coffee was good and it was served with such a wonderful spirited server that I forgot all about the Cuban Coffee. I have served my share of tables through the years....had to pay for college etc somehow....to know that great service can over shadow ok items. But this night, the food was good, and the service put our dining experience over the edge. Note: I only gave them four stars because we went back for a subsequent visit and the food did not meet the expectations of our first visit. The owner's son was waiting/managing that night. He had a steak quesidilla, which he said was the bomb. I had the special burrito this time. It didn't seem to be prepared the same way as previous times. It was good, just not great. The chips and salsa were ok, the chips just weren't as fresh as the first visit and the salsa had whole pieces of vegetables in it and was not as blended as the first visit. I plan to go back. We have friends who swear by this place and are regulars. We look forward to becoming regulars too.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Not so good to me. We ordered two blue moons, app of guac, carne asada and the three enchiladas. The complimentary salsa was pretty good. Totally different from anything we had so we were a little excited for the meal. Blue moons were 3.75 each. Guac was a whooping 7$ for an ice cream SCOOP size, insane. Carne asada (14$) was a 12 oz rib eye which didn't seem close to 12 oz.. It was a thin piece with a lot of fat. My fiancé requested med rare by it was basically rare. The outside had a grey brown color.. Not charred or fried or anything. Because the piece was so thin the rareness didn't bother him. My enchiladas (13$?) were filled with ground beef, cheese and chicken. I love cheese but the cheese enchilada was was too cheesy for me. Beef tasted like Taco Bell beef. And chicken was just okay. I did enjoy the rice and refried beans. Over all just okay. We both are carne asada lovers and this place just didn't do it for us.. Prob won't be coming back unless I was a basic Mex dish like tacos or something.

Swear this place has fleas .. Something kept crawling on me and when i finally saw something .. Deff a flea .. Food was good tho
(2)Kevin D.

We visited on 09/4, the staff was great and food and Margaritas was excellent! I will be going back soon.

We used to go to uncle julios but it seems like lately they're cutting on ingredients Come to this place and try it I'm not bullshitting you
(5)B H.

(4)Cynthia S.
(1)Wayne H.
Food is well seasoned. I wish the server would smile, he looks like it's the end of the world. There where not a lot of people at the restaurant when I arrived and left Decor: 3 Food: 5 Service: 3
(4)Chris C.
Your typical Tex-Mex restaurant. Nothing out of the ordinary. My food wasn't bad, but I was expecting better. Service wasn't bad. The owner even came over to our table and introduced himself. Nice family-owned establishment.
(3)Miho T.
(5)Michael B.
(4)Jasmine S.
Love love love Sierras Grill. I mean look at that plate! So good. Chicken enchilada, cheese enchilada, & a bean burrito.
(5)Kartik R.
Simply love the flavor. It's much spicier and more flavorful than any Mexican place I've been to. Their chips n salsa is the best. Had a sumptuous meal and would love to visit again
(5)Marlyn R.
I LOVE this place. The chicken enchiladas and pork tamal are delicious. The beans and rice are just right, and they compliment the chips and salsa that they provide at the beginning. The only downside to this place is that they don't have horchata.
(5)Brian B.
(2)Emily K.
Great salsa dip and brunch menu. Ask for Hannah - awesome and attentive waitress. Good spot in Fed Hill.
(5)Linda W.
(5)Jackie A.
(5)Brooke L.
Delicious....I had the enchiladas and chile relleno....the reason the lost a star was because the chile wasn't that great and the chips were stale....but we kept eating because the salsa was flavorful... Hot food was piping hot....q Will def be back....
(4)Monica D.
(4)Matthew Y.
(4)DJ L.
(4)Jerry S.

(4)Duane L.
(4)Jessie J.
(4)Sneha R.
No vegetarian options, had to leave the place after eating chips and some drinks. Not even willing to serve grilled vegetables on the side. Vegetarians only have cheese, beans and rice as an option. Doesn't help much. Went to El Azteca few miles away and loved the food they had to serve.
(1)Devin A.

(5)Shawn M.
(4)Emily M.
Nice spot for some good tex mex and authentic latin food. Margaritas are to die for. Waiters are nice enough and offer good service. Owner is always present and engages with customer instead of sitting in the background. I think i will become a regular.
(5)Joe J.
(4)Gerry O.
Great fajitas and guac. On a groupon moderately busy on a Friday at 6 pm. Great service. Will be back
(5)Théo L.
Probably the friendliest place ever, and the food was awesome perfect right before going to see a movie on Friday night.
(5)Laura B.
(4)Cynthia L.
(1)Dee D.
DELICIOUS!!!!! Small, authentic mexican restaurant!!!! Drinks are delish as well. I love the salsa! Service is great too!!!! It's my fave go-to mexican restaurant in Beltsville/ss!!!!
(5)Jan N.
One of the best local restaurants with excellent, quick food and more importantly great staff. This family friendly restaurant has a large menu with generous portions and great pricing. A true diamond in the rough.
(5)Rick M.
Always great to find a half-decent Mexican place in the DC area, as options are few and far between.
(4)Sivan B.
Yummy!!! Got the street style tacos. Salsa is yummy. The workers are kind. Nice chill place.
(5)Angela S.
(2)M M.
(5)Lori R.

(3)Amanda B.
(2)Chad H.
(4)Liz R.
Wonderful service, wonderful food, great prices- need I say more? I can't wait to eat there again!
(5)Kurt C.

(4)Collin F.
(4)Ken M.
(4)Devida N.
(3)Chris L.

(5)Ruth M.

My favorite place for the chimis and the margaritas drinks are great they have all sizes!!!

Lol.

I love Mexican food and I love this place. Nothing fancy- food was great and so was the service! Best Mexican in the area!!!

tl;dr - Get the California Burrito, it was tasty.

(2)Steph F.

The place is a little small "hole in the wall" type of place... but the food is authentic, and just delicious!! I highly recommend the Grilled Chicken Fajita Salad!!...drool!!!
(5)Pat K.
(4)Krysten C.

The service and food are excellent. We go here usually after visiting my wife's grandmother across the street. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants authentic good Mexican food with outstanding service.
(5)Stephanie M.
I LOVE this place! My co-workers and I are lunch regulars here. You have to go for the chips and salsa but the rest of the menu is fantastic as well. Great portions - reasonable prices and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The place is always busy at lunch time!
(5)Susan F.
Mmmm.
(4)Dick C.
Great local place. Good mexican food. Wonderful and friendly staff.
(4)Shannon H.
Went to this place just the other day. Food and drinks were reasonably priced and food was authentic, not like some of the cheap places out there. The atmosphere is super casual and relaxing. The only complaint was that service was a little too relaxed. Great place that I would definitely try again!
(4)Kelly M.
(5)Patrick C.

(4)Roger R.
My wife & I stopped by on Black Friday in the afternoon and enjoyed an excellent lunch - we've been driving by for several years when we've come to visit family and this was our first stop. We'll certainly come back again.

I LOVE sierras grill. The margaritas are the best! Try their steak and cheese burrito (its my fave).
