This review is just for the liquor store, as we haven't made it to the bistro (we looked at the menu and it's a bit pricey for an everyday meal, so we are going to try it out on a special occasion). I want to begin with a disclaimer, my hubby and I are beer snobs. We brew our own beer and expect a lot out of commercial beers. We also like staple liquors (gin, vodka, tequila) for classic cocktails. We are new to the area and have only had Total Wine as a bottle shop before. That being said, we love this store! The selection is excellent, the shelves are organized very well and intuitively. The prices are comparable to other bottle shops. There is a cashier there also who is super helpful! I didn't catch his name the last time we came in, but he gave great recommendations and even gave us some local traffic tips (we are new to the area after all!) I really appreciate the atmosphere and that the cashiers let you wander around and browse...But are ready and willing to help you find something if you ask. I also really love the loyalty program they have, just check in with your mobile number and nothing else. No junk emails! This is our new bottle shop. It's a bit easy to miss the parking lot if you aren't familiar with the turn though, so keep your eyes open. You don't want to miss it!

Cool shop, but where's all the IBV 100+? Selection endless. Beer for me, I thought the whiskey was a bit pricey. Tons of beer, and I really appreciated the regional sectioning, but finding my favorite types proved a challenge. For me to worship here on Sundays, they'll need to beef up the selection of West Coast, super hoppy, super crisp, only moderately malty IPA's. Yes, I know that's pretty specific, but all I really found was Lagunitas Hop Stoopid. They had Stone, but I can get that anywhere.

Wowza! My mind has officially been blown. This is a hidden gem. Went here for happy hour while waiting for an oil change. They have plenty of options on tap. I had a Stella Artois Cidre and the most moist and flavorful burger I've had since being in Maryland. And the 6 oz. burger was $3...thats right, 3 bucks!!! I will definitely be back for more happy hours.

People might get turned off by the appearance of this place, as it used to be an old circuit city, but the old homage "don't judge a book by its cover" definitely applies here! There selection of beer, wine, and spirits is awesome. Definitely worth a browsing before/after you eat at their bistro. I was in the mood for barbecue flavors and ordered the BBQ wings, and True Blood Burger. BBQ wings were probably some of the best I've had. Jumbo wings meant extra meat, and with that sweet tangy sauce, well worth it. Cooked tender, and none of that overcooked stuff you see at other places. The True Blood burger was also a solid choice, cooked medium rare, the cheese and barbecue combo did it for me. Lastly, the chips were a nice sidekick - thick and extra crunchy. 5/5 for both dishes.

I was totally prepared to like this place because a lot of my friends have been here and like the place. But, like the two stars say...."Meh...." The Missus and I came here for the Bistro and not the humongous liquor store in front. So this review is more about the Bistro. We came in mid-afternoon. After lunch but before happy hour so the place really wasn't crowded at all. First, you have to walk through the humongous liquor store to get to the Bistro in the back. The liquor store looks nice like it's really trying hard to compete with Total Wine up in Laurel. It doesn't stand a chance. Beltsville and College Park are not know for their high falutin' tastes in wine or spirits. I may be wrong but it's worth it for me to drive 12 miles to Laurel and Total Wine to get expert help and tons of choice. Second, the Bistro is really no great shakes. It's like the owners had some extra space they didn't know what to do with so they put in a bar and some tables and called it a Bistro. It's not even a high end, hoity toity bar where you can sample all the high end wines, beers and spirits sold in the front. They have TVs over the bar playing sports and a couple of people sitting around swilling some beer. Third, the service is so-so (more on that in a minute). Fourth, the food is good. This is definitely the high spot of the experience. The food is good. It is made to order so you have to wait awhile so don't come in super hungry. It has great taste and a nice presentation and nice choices that are not run-of-the-mill bar food. Fifth, back to the service. Young kid who seemed to sorta know what he was doing but didn't quite know how to relate to two geezers that weren't drinking to excess and just wanted a nice late lunch. Generally, throughout the meal the kid did OK. He came to tell us the food was taking awhile because it's made-to-order, yadda, yadda. The real kicker came at the end when it came time to pay the bill. The kid came with the check, I gave him my debit card and I waited...and waited...and waited...and waited. Finally, I stood up trying to get the kid's attention (he never really did come back by the table). When he came over he asked if there was anything he could do for us. Yeah. how 'bout giving me my debit card back! He got ever so slightly flustered and mentioned he got distracted and he was sorry and so on but it was obvious he gave my card to someone to ring up and then completely forgot about us. Probably because people his own age came in complete with a couple of hotties. I probably won't be back. I don't mind slow food even if I'm the only one in the place especially if it's good. But I HATE waiting around after I'm completely done waiting to pay my bill so I can go home.

This place is (arguably) THE BEST burger in the College Park (and surrounding) area! All their burger choices are amazingly delicious, and their truffle fries are on point! I highly recommend this restaurant. If you live nearby, pick up is also a great option! Our food is always hot and delicious when we pick it up. My personal favorite is the True Blood Burger, and my husband loves the Scandal burger :). UPDATE: We still love Old Line just as much as before, and have now even been there for brunch! The bottomless mimosas are THE BOMB! However, their dinnertime fare is still my favorite...but now the Duck Flatbread has replaced the special place in my heart once held by the True Blood Burger. 9/11/15 UPDATE: I am highly allergic to shiitake mushrooms, and as such, ordered the duck flat bread and requested no mushrooms. We asked if we could pay a little extra and get more duck to substitute. We were told yes and happily paid more. However, our order arrived, and low and behold, there were mushrooms - and not just on it, but embedded in the cheese. I carefully picked off every piece of shiitake and cautiously ate half my meal. I'm currently sitting around scratching myself, and developing patches of hives as I type. There's no denying the food here is delicious, but as far as I'm concerned, when someone pays you extra for something extra and requests something be removed, it should be done. I still like Old Line, but am greatly disappointed by what I would argue is mediocre customer service.

A gem tucked away behind the Costco and in the old Circuit City building. Walk thru the aisles of beer & wine all the way to the back where you come upon the Bistro. I had low expectations but with tons of craft beers on tap and a creative menu I was a happy camper. I had the Sriracha steak sandwich. Great flavors and an ample portion. The hanger steak was well received as well. They make their own ketchup and spicy mayo, I couldn't resist. Quite tasty. Clearly this place elevates the surrounding area and I am happy I came!!

As a Montgomery county resident, I love escaping the draconian liquor laws of MoCo and driving to Old Line. Why? Because unlike MoCo, I can buy whiskey, gin, wine, champagne and beer IN ONE PLACE. Hardly a novel concept unless of course you live in MoCo. Awesome selection of beer here, all fairly priced. Friendly staff. Honestly, this place is like a toy store for adults-- aisle after aisle of libations. Love it!

Nice happy hour with $2.50 bottle beers $4.00 wine by the glass. Food specials $3.00 really good 6 oz burgers, steak and cheese egg roll and BBQ pork slides. Very nice bartenders . Plus extensive retail liquor and wine store. Hidden gem in PG county Beltsville.

How's this for a dangerous concept? You take this fairly large space, right? And you bring in nice display shelves and arrange them in wide, easy to navigate aisles. And then you start loading in booze. Wine, beer, spirits. Did you know there's a gin distillery in D.C.? Neither did I, but if you want to try some of their hootch, you can find it at Old Line. But you don't stop there. Then you a tuck small dining area in the same space and serve nifty food and drink. Yeah, let people get a few under their belts and then turn them loose in your aisles of drink. Next thing you know, they're sleeping it off in a corner. Now they aren't! They're shuffling out to their car with enough booze to fuel an army. I thought it was really neat and the menu is very interesting. We intend to go back EVEN THOUGH the service in the restaurant was ... meh? I think the waiter was new. Any way, it is more than good enough to warrant another visit. And perhaps another and another. And even if the restaurant isn't that great, there's still all the booze.

By far the best food in the area! I swear by this place. To add to its awesomeness, the bar has 20 revolving taps that switch out to different microbrews every few days! The service is always excellent, and the chef walks around and greets guests. I never see that anymore. There's a couple of must-try's on the menu: either flatbreads, the pork sandwich with plantains, the tacos, crab cake, and the bread pudding. Make sure to order the bread pudding in advance though! It takes about 25-30 minutes to bake! But it is well worth the wait. The burgers here are f**king fantastic and they're all named after TV shows (i.e. Walking Dead, Soprano, Breaking Bad). I've made my way through half the burger menu, and they never disappoint. Even the $3 happy hour burger is on point! Also, just heard this place is starting a BRUNCH, which means bottomless mimosas (or beer-mosas), shrimp and grits, red velvet waffles, and a whole bunch of stuff I can't wait to try.

I went to lunch today and ordered the lamb sliders with truffle fries. Sliders were excellent great flavor, cooked perfectly they added feta cheese that added wonderful flavor to the lamb. Fires tasted good but it is so greasy and heavy. A bit expensive for a bistro sliders were $15 and fried were $6.

I was a little confused when I walked into this establishment (that clearly is an old Circuit City). A friend told me to meet them for happy hour and to come all the way to the back. When I entered the store, I thought that I was in the wrong place. But I soon saw signs for the Bistro located in the back of the store. On my way to the bistro, I passed a very nice selection of beers, wine, and spirits. There was also a part of the store rented out for a b'day party. This store is willing to do all it can to earn your money. The employees and bartenders were very approachable and friendly. I will be back again to take advantage of the HH specials and to get a growler of beer.

I have not tried the bistro but I'm in love with the liquor store! It has the biggest selection in my immediate area, though it is a bit of a pain for me to get to from Greenbelt. It comes close to Total Wine in its square footage of store, but has a lot more open space, and so less selection. But, there were still lots of great wines, good variety of prices, and some labels of my favorite types of wine and cider that I hadn't seen before! I spent a good 15 minutes wandering the aisles just to see what they had, none of the workers asked if I needed help which struck me as odd, but oh well. I'll have to come back and try the bistro because that place was hoppin' and must be pretty good!

I would have moved to PG County a long time ago had I known it was this easy to get alcohol here. You see, I live the provincial county of Montgomery, where apparently no one drinks(FUN FACT: Montgomery County residents consume approximately 5.6 million gallons less alcohol annually, on average, compared to our neighboring counties). Some of you might say this is due to healthy living, I say it's due to alcohol being such a pain in the behind to obtain. I turned 21 a LONG TIME AGO, can the struggle be over please? Buying alcohol for me involves a trip to two stores. Up until now, for beer or wine, I had to go to a separate privately run store other than the grocery store and also due to Dept of Liquor Control pricing, I pay more for a six pack here and wine pricing is approximately 7-22% higher). For liquor, I would head to the county run stores. After jumping through all these hoops for a drank, at the end of the day, you realize it's actually just easier to buy crack than Miller Lite. Then enter Old Line. If this store existed in Montgomery County, we'd be a bunch of preppy alcoholics. It's like the Total Wine Stores found in Virginia but WAY BETTER. How is it better? Well, it has a bistro in it with a bar. A huge bar in fact, and it's really actually attractively decorated. I did not partake of the bar but I can say I spent an inordinate amount of time in the ladies room...checking out the vintage furniture. No joke, it's like Etsy up in there. Why does the bathroom have a fire engine red armoire and how can I get that in my cart? Now for the alcohol, the prices are on par with Calvert Woodley and Schneiders (for those of us in the tri state area, DC by far has a cheapest alcohol). A respectable collection of bitters and whiskey. The craft beer selection favors local breweries but there are two aisles dedicated to just beer. I did not get to check out the wine but that seemed to take up half the store. I usually walk away from liquor stores with one purchase, unfortunately here I needed to fill a rolling basket. I ended up with an Abita Strawberry six pack for $8, $19 Four Roses small batch bourbon, Cherry Herring which is never in stock anywhere in MD, and a big bottle of Dogfish Miles Davis B*(^*&^* Brew. So for the few of us in Montgomery County who actually drink, make the drive and come here. It's worth the extra miles. While you're here check out their happy hours or beer/wine tastings. I know I'll be back.

Two parts to this review: the Bistro, and the liquor store. Store: The old adage "Large quantities of liquor almost never lead to something good" holds true! After walking the aisles of beer (craft beers, local stuff, and all the hits), wine, and liquor, our cart was full, and our wallets were empty. Tons of choices, whether you like classics, variety, or adventures. There is a huge corner of the store that is currently empty, I don't know if they're going at expand the bistro or add a section for accessories (solo cups, glasses, shakers, bottle openers, etc.; this is recommended by yours truly), but it was kind of weird both times I went. Though I imagine old Circut City locations aren't super expensive to acquire, you might as well get too much space. Bistro: A nice cozy bar and spacious dining room in the back, with tasty sandwiches and unique beers on tap. I had a delicious steak sandwich and a pear beer from Dogfish Head. Server was nice, price was right, had a nice calm date with my wife over good food and drink. It is difficult to get into the parking lot due to the constant traffic on Hwy 1, but we managed. It's worth crossing the traffic!

My husband and I came here for happy hour and dinner last Friday. Overall the food and service were very good, with an excellent beer selection. There were a few hiccups that need to be addressed, though. First and foremost, their happy hour menu is pretty good. It's only available at the bar- we arrived around 5:00 and were able to snag two seats at the bar, but within a half hour the seats were all full, so keep that in mind. We ordered two meatball sliders off the happy hour menu, which were delicious- huge meatballs with a yummy sauce for $3. I was disappointed that they took about 15 minutes to arrive, though- a gentleman who ordered an appetizer ten minutes after us received his food before us. When ours arrived, the plate was hot like it had sat in the window for a while. Not sure if that's a server issue or kitchen issue, but the food was good nonetheless. For dinner I ordered the chicken and waffles, and my husband ordered the Game of Thrones burger (topped with prosciutto and brie). He paid extra to get white truffle mac and cheese as his side. My chicken and waffles were pretty good; the waffle had a great cinnamon flavor, and was topped with diced sweet potatoes with maple syrup and grated orange peel. Unfortunately, once again the plate was hot like it sat in the window, and as a result my chicken thighs were very dry. The seasoning on them was very good, so props to the kitchen for that, but I wish they had come out sooner or been pulled out of the fryer sooner. My husband's Game of Thrones burger looked amazing, and he said it was delicious. It had huge chunks of gooey brie and a generous amount of prosciutto. Sadly, we both agreed that the white truffle mac and cheese was not something we would eat again. I got no cheese flavor from it whatsoever except for the topping; it just tasted like elbow macaroni swimming in white truffle oil. Again, it seemed like it had sat in the window too long and had dried out, but based on the amount of oil left in the dish it would be better suited as "mac and white truffle oil". TL;DR version: Excellent beer selection, good menu, some hits and misses in food service and prep

First off this was an old circuit city in a Beltsville plaza that has been repurposed as a very fine wine, beer, and spirts store in the front, BUT in the far back right corner is this AMAZING bistro. The four of us had different appetizers and entrées. Everything we had was out of this world...all the way from the sweet ketchup and the jalapeño mayonnaise to my jumbo crab cake dinner with Brussel sprouts and corn. The beer selection on tap is way above average and the wait staff is ever so professional and helpful. I can't say enoug good thing about this place. So, don't judge a restaurant by its shopping center or location (because you will until you go in). This place is worth a weekly visit! I promise you this...you won't be disappointed and you will add this to your restaraunt list. The dress attire is cool with jeans and a tee shirt. We all loved it!!! BAM!!!

Located inside an old circuit city... yes that's right. INSIDE AN OLD CIRCUIT CITY (They had to do something with the failed chain of electronic stores eh?) You know it's an old circuit city because, you walk in the front door and are forced to go left into that door. Which never any made sense... Anyways, they changed the store enough where it's not creepy anymore. The aisles are filled with wines and beers. A grand selection. In the back right corner of the store in the former Bose audio lounge or whatever that was, is the Bistro! Now, this is the biggest departure from feeling like your an in an old Circuit City... the bistro sports a long bar and plenty of seating for what I'm sure are some busy nights: owing to the great beer selection and reasonable prices. We ended up going with the house cabernet, hoping it wouldn't disappoint as they are technically located inside of a wine store. It did not. It was very fresh, a bit dry, but easily drinkable. 2 glasses later, I was blurting out things like "I like my Cabernet like I like my men: cheap and fruity." We went with the happy hour specials ( 3 bucks a piece- can't beat that) ( the meatball sliders and the pork sliders). The meatball sliders were delicious. A large clementine sized meatball was shoved inside of a small soft bun. The meatball and sauce was surprisingly flavorful and fresh. The pork sliders also did not disappoint. The pork was tender, flavorful, and warm. The BBQ sauce on them was fairly generic, but not bad. All in all, I can't wait till I make it back that way to enjoy some more time there.

This is a new destination spot for Happy Hours and burgers! Old Line offers a diverse selection of craft beer, wine, and likka! The cozy and modern Bistro is awesome - my friends and I met up for happy hour on a Wednesday and chowed down on some good eats. I had the Game of Thrones Burger (topped with prosciutto & melted brie) and it was everything I hoped it would be - amazingly delicious. There are a few TV's in the bar area and there is also a larger dining room that can easily accommodate families or larger groups. Great place to watch some football!

Though the food was okay, the service was not. We were greeted by the door after three minutes by a server saying we can sit anywhere we liked. We sat and we're given a menu as the server was introducing himself saying he'd start us off with water. He came back after 10 minutes with our water, asking if we're ready to order. We wanted to start with appettizers so we ordered that. Another person brings our appetizers after 15 minutes. 25 minutes later, our server comes asking if we're ready to order our entree.... Ughhh...we've been ready 20 minutes ago but you were nowhere in sight. So, we order our food...and waited.......and waited....it was ridiculous because it was around 3pm! I could count the people in the restaurant with my fingers....and that's including me and my boyfriend! After 50 minutes of waiting, our food comes. The blacklist burger was salty with a side of contrasting taste of the white truffle Mac and cheese that was bland. Throughout our dining experience, our server filled our glasses with water ONCE and that was when we have asked for the check.that check came fast....needless to say, we are very disappointed with the food and experience and will not be coming back.

I haven't tried the bistro yet so my review is based off shopping their selections. Many options to choose from and the prices weren't too bad. I ended up leaving with two different cases of Woodchuck and some info about their loyalty program. Wish they had a location closer to Baltimore.

Perhaps I came in with my expectations too high. I was lured by the promise of a local bar with the coveted Burley Oak brewery on tap. The Bar: Sad to say yet another instance of a bartender at a craft brew spot not really having much knowledge or interest in the beer. She was also pretty inattentive. We were the only people there on a Sunday but it seemed the staff was more in the mood to hang out in the kitchen. Brew selection was solid but lacking in diversity. Popular IPAs and sport bar standards like Sam seasonal accounted for half. throw in a stout and a few mediocre local options and there was not much left as far as unique beers. Im told they will be changing taps quite a lot though so I hoping for better next time. The store: We we're there shortly before closing so I did not have the time I intended to invest in a casual price comparison to total wine. in a brief 5 min once around it seemed comparable for real beers but not quite as cheap as costco etc for large packs of regular beers. I'll update later when I have more time there. Overall still a place to get good beer taps close to home for me. It could be better and I hope it does. For now it's just the best beer option for things very close to my house, but far from my best option.

One of the things I like to do in NYC is go out and and get a burger and a beer. There are old haunts that I go to that are solid for this. At Old Line, I can walk into an old Circuit City, and repeat that experience. The beers are fresh and the burger I had on Friday was spectacular. I volunteer for trips to Costco because of this place.

A friend and I were in the area, and decided to drop in at the Old Line Bistro for lunch. We made a pass through the liquor store portion of Old Line, observing the vast selections of beer, wine and spirits. They offer some unique choices in all of those areas, and have a strong focus on Maryland made offerings. Because we were "eating light", we both ended up ordering the Chicken Caesar salad. It was great, with corn bread croutons, roasted corn and a house made salad dressing. The chef happened by, and after we commented how good the salads were, told us that he has been tinkering with the dressing for a while. There is no anchovie in the dressing, but it still has a bold flavor. He also send out a sampler of the spiked hot chocolate from the bar, which has a brandy base and was delicious. We'll be back, when we can enjoy the deep craft beer selection on draft and have another meal.

This place is in an old Circuit City, and we weren't sure about it but some friends suggested it. WOW! The burgers are fantastic!! My hubs had the Steak Frites. He loved it. And they have a wonderful selection of craft beers HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Not the usual service we receive. I order a pint of Saison beer and my husband ordered a coke as he is the designated driver. He came to the table and took our dinner order. Not only did the waiter take more than 15min just to get one drink, he also brought me a sniffer of another type of beer. He took it back to the bar. It was taking another 15min just to get a drink. It is not like the place was full. I told my husband: "We are tired and hungry. Lets not wait for another disappointing wrong order". We got up and headed to the bar to pay for my husband's coke and found him chit-chatting with someone at the bar. This is not the usual service but I am not coming back to see if this is still the case.

The liquor store has a nice variety at decent prices (not quite as diverse as Total Wine in Laurel, but certainly a close second in the area), but the standout is the bistro. Great selection (rotating constantly) of craft beers on tap and very high quality burgers and appetizers (all I've tried so far).

Poor bartender (blond on evening shift 12/6 6 p.m.) I was sitting at a booth in the bar area. Because she was mad at our server, Edwin, she wouldn't give him our drinks. I first had to wait 10 minutes for a drink and then she did not give him the drinks at all, as he stood at the bar and waited for them she talked to customers and did everything but give him our drinks. I finally went over to her and asked her for the drinks directly. Her grudge against him resulted in terrible service. He was personable and apologetic. The food was awesome as was the draft beer. The Bacardi and rum sucked bc the coke was flat. I love the ambiance but the service needs to be improved.

I hope the chef reads this. The food looks great on paper. I had the white truffle Mac and cheese and the goat cheese/caramelized onion flatbread. The key to proper Mac and cheese is bechamel. If you don't make a sauce with the cheese, you get half a cup of separated cheese oil. That's nasty at any price, but at $7 for a small side, it's just gross. And an insult to truffle oil. The flatbread was ok. Also pretty greasy. Maybe a little too much cheese, but some people might like that. I would also recommend the apples on top be sliced thin, perhaps in rings--the chunks give uneven distribution of the apple flavor. I like where your heart is, but the execution is lacking.

5 starts to the store YESS!! Great selection of wines from everywhere for fair prices. They often have beer/wine tastings and deals which makes the whole place even more interesting. Went to their bistro recently - didn't have great expectations - and the BURGER was surprisingly delisshhh!!! Too bad that it took forever even though it was not so busy.

Good menu with plenty options for vegetarians or carnivores. We tried the roasted Brussels sprouts, Elaine's salad, and sweet potato fries. Everything was very good, and the service was prompt and courteous. Nice house red wine.

Amazing find! Was looking for a nice lunch place a week or so ago in Beltsville which is not an easy task. looked at Yelp of course for guidance and found this hidden gem. tucked away in an old Circuit City store in an ugly strip center. Walked into a cavernous liquor store and very skeptical. Way behind the liquor displays was this cool bistro. Went during off hours at about 2 pm so it was quiet. But the menu, food, décor and service were way beyond my modest expectations. Brussels sprouts app was excellent as was my eggplant sandwich/fries. Friend had a steak salad which was great but had too much dressing. Shannon our server was extremely knowledgeable and offered beer samples and menu guidance. She was amazing. I would give this a 5 star rating, but for the steak salad issue. will definitely come back and may even make a special trip from Annapolis and pass by all the great restaurant options here to do so!

Thanks guys! We appreciate you all taking time to review the comments of your customers and for taking a step forward to making this a friendly environment from the front door to the back. We noticed the improvement. See ya next Wednesday!!! Old review: My husband and I have dinner and a 1/2 price bottle of wine here every Wednesday for our "date night". We love the Bistro! Shannon, Megan, and now Keisha are all awesome! :-) The restaurant manager "head chef" is phenominal. He always stops by to make sure that we are satisfied with the food. Our response is always the most favorable. The food is fantastic....I absolutely love, love the brussel sprouts and the shoe string fries. :-) Even the cashier, which usually is Tiffany on Wednesday's gives us a warm greeting when we enter the store BUT the front desk service (smh), the very first person (sometimes a group) that we see upon entering the store is HORRIBLE. It doesn't matter who is sitting there, they all respond the same way towards us. VERY SNOBBY and they never greet us even when we speak to them first. I can only assume that they are the owner's of this establishment; however, if they feel that they are above greeting their customers then perhaps they should hire someone else to be the first friendly face of the Bistro. They should consider taking a seat behind a two-way mirror if all they want to do is watch. My review would have been a 5 star review if it weren't for upper management looking down their nose's at us in total silence. At least smile, the first impression should be the best impression! See ya next Wednesday!!!

Plentiful parking in the shared plaza lot. Fantastic customer service by phone and in person. Pricing is competitive with Montgomery County Liquor Control. A small offering of flavored bitters. I didn't get around to perusing the wines, but the liquor and beer selections are interesting, if sparse. The latter is helpfully sorted by region. Nabbed their last bottles of cherry heering and Rogue pink spruce gin. I'll definitely be back to check out happy hour at the bistro in back: crab & sherry bisque, chicken pesto primavera, NY strip, Old Line mac & cheese, and their signature burgers.

This place is full of surprises. First of all, it is in an old circuit city. When you walk in, you are greeted by shelves of alcohol, clerks, and unflattering retail lighting. It is a wine, beer, and alcohol store after all. By this time, you are not expecting much. Just as you start to lose hope, you find the bistro and bar tucked away at the back of the store. It is a cozy and quaint atmosphere and a very stark contrast from the retail park of the store. I had fried sprouts and the steak salad. Both were very good. Someone at the table requested guacamole and the chef whipped it up from scratch and by request. Great service and tasty food. You can also do some wine shopping on the way out. Win-win. Highly recommended.

The bistro is all the way in the back right of the store, which is kind of strange, but we went there for lunch the other day, and everything was awesome! I had the chicken ceasar salad, and it was huge! The dressing was awesome (I had to ask for it on the side), and the cornbread croutons were delicious. I also had a side of the plantains, and they were absolutely worth going back for - so sweet & filling, and the dipping sauce was awesome! Everyone else I was with had different sandwiches and flatbreads, and they all loved their meals as well. Hardly anyone was there for lunch, so service was great! And afterwards, we browsed the store and I picked up some local wine and fun flavored vodka for the weekend! Their wine choices are extensive (and a little overwhelming if you don't know what you're looking for), but if there's something particular that you want, they probably have it! They also have a great selection of liquors and beers! Overall, it was a great lunch, and a convenient shopping trip afterwards!

I had previous given Old Line Bistro a review of 5 stars but in my most recent visit, it wasn't pleasant at all! This was Monday when we went to watch the FIFA women's world cup where the USA played Australia . The game started at 7:30, but around 8:30 to 9 the restaurant was almost empty, only a handful of folks were left at the bar watching the game. Soon after, a lady went around asking if it was ok to turn off the music and play the game's sound, most of us were all for it, and the rest of the others said they didn't care, but unfortunately the manager was not ok with it. Come on! It's Monday night! You don't have many customers! So we Concluded that if we ever wanted to watch another sports game, Old Line Bistro is definitely not the place and we will go elsewhere. Very disappointed.

This review is for the Old Line Fine Wine retail store NOT the bistro Best selection of liquor and cordials in the area. Some really interesting items that you won't find everywhere - even in top restaurants and bars. HOWEVER, be very careful when shopping for wine. They have apparently decided it's acceptable to falsely apply reviews to wines on their shelves. Specifically, I found MULTIPLE hand written "Wine Spectator 2014 Top 100" signs for wines of different vintages and even vineyards. As any wine shopper knows, the difference between a 2008 and 2010 could be huge in quality and price. Luckily I had my iPhone and was able to check. Not only did they have the wrong info but it seemed that some of the wines prices were inflated BECAUSE it was a supposed high scoring wine. I called it out to a manager/owner and he sheepishly apologized and took the misleading signs down. But I certainly didn't sense he was particularly upset or even saw why it was a big deal. I would have given 1 star if it was just a wine store. If you can't trust your wine merchant than find another. But the liquor selection is great. Bottom line at Old Line - caveat emptor when buying wine.

Awesome bar and a pretty good liquor store second only to Corridor Wine & Liquor in Laurel (AKA Total Wine). The Bistro always has excellent food and the menu is updated pretty regularly. I wish they had a different entrance so you didn't have to walk through the store to get to the bar, but, whatever... They have a very nice craft brewery draft list which, I believe, is the best anywhere in this area between DC and Columbia (about 10 or 12 on tap, always changing). I've never had anything bad from the menu. The service, at least when the bar is not busy, has always been quick and very friendly. When it's busy, the service sometimes is a little spotty, but most every bar suffers from or wishes they suffer from that problem. Definitely an awesome place for a casual date, good food, and good drink. I highly recommend it!

We had the BURGERS and they were cooked to profection, very MOISTand FLAVORFUL,,,,Also try the CRAB BISQUE=WONDERFUL!! This is definitely A HIDDEN JEWEL OF BELTSVILLE. I've been a fan of Old Line since it opened a year or so ago. The concept is rock-solid: have a sophisticated, diverse selection of beers, wine and craft spirts with a cool little pub inside. Perfect! I always have a great experience wandering down the isles and the staff are friendly and make themselves useful. Pricing is pretty good for the products I buy often - small batch gins, bourbon and whisky. I'll be back again soon

Had the Family Guy and Soprano burgers. Very good quality. Fries were of the straw/julienne variety. Beer comes in full and half pints. Nice dessert menu- something for everyone. Friendly staff. Overall, this place does the basics, and does them well. It's unpretentious without being a dive bar. We'll definitely go back. A wonderful addition to the area that succeeds where others have failed. Could this be our new "Cheers"?

VERY disappointing service. We brought my boyfriend's parents because we thought they'd enjoy the large wine and beer selection, as well as the food. The food was fine-- a little below average, but decent today. The bread was kind of stale and the dessert, the lava chocolate cake, came out room temperature, so it wasn't lava-y at all. And no whipped cream! What kind of lava cake doesn't come with some whipped cream? Our waitress was rude and inattentive. There were very long stretches where she would attend to parties all around us, including a large table right behind us, and not even look at us. She brought us a half-filled beer because the tap had run out, told us we'd get charged half, then STILL charged us full price. We would try to flag down other waitresses, and while they did sometimes help us, they told us that they were just running drinks and not available to take dessert or additional orders. At one point, we had to get up and go find someone to get service. She never refilled our water and left the menus on the table until halfway through our meal. At the end, after she brought out our room temperature lava cake, we asked for boxes. She got snarky-- "You ordered cake but can't even finish it?" Okay, if she had just heated it up or not let it sit, we'd be eating it. I brought it home and microwaved it. I've had spotty service here in the past, but it was particularly annoying today because she kept hobnobbing with the big group-- for the big tip, I'm sure-- and barely glanced our way, even when we tried to wave her down.

Used to eat here pretty consistently with family friends, never had a problem, nor with the staff. place was small enough that it was kinda hard for them to forget you if you were assertive, although they def don't know anything about wine.I don't come here for crab. When i want crab i catch it myself. Best mac'n'cheese in MD, and trust me, i know. Wine, cheese, steak, American comfort, thats what you get! We did go back like 2 months ago and it seems as business picked up, service stepped down. Mac n' Cheese was't the same, beer was still good.

WOW, what a find of a place....... I was visiting Maryland at the time and noticed Yelp's "new businesses" list and saw this place. HAD to check it out. Wine selection: 5/5 stars Whisky/Scotch selection: 5/5 stars Beer selectoin: 5/5 stars Uniqueness: 5/5 stars Price: 5/5 stars OVERALL = 5 STARS!!! From the outside the place totally looks like it was an old Circuit City. It's located in a small plaza directly next to the Costco plaza (fyi). When I went it was pretty new, so not very popping. From what I'm told (since I'm not a native Maryland-inian) is that alcohol is restricted by counties (or something like that), so this is quite the gem. I'm more of a whisky/scotch guy, but this place got me interested in wines and beers. Reason being..... TONS OF SELECTIONS!!! Wines are labeled by every type of category you can think of. Trust me. I can't go into detail b/c (like I said) not a wine guy. As for the beer, WOW..... pretty cool (and funny). They're sectioned off by regions of the states (ie "Left Coast beers"... "Midwest beers".... "Local brews"). I thought that was quite ingenius. I got an organic Mocha stout that was pretty spectacular too. 1 pint for $6..... not bad! My section, Whisky/Scotch was pretty nifty. For me, prices were a bit high on standard stuff (compared to Cali prices), but they have it all. From the Glenfiddich to Macallan to Laphroag, you got it. They even have a section of craft spirits with local whisky (see pic). Pretty neat! Lastly, they have a bistro inside the store (see pics). Didn't get a chance to try it, but I will next time. Was able to glance around inside and noticed that they have selections of wines that are IN THEIR STORE. So you can try it there in a nice little cozy atmosphere. All in all, pretty dope place to go. Not sure on their hours, but LOVE the bistro concept.

Best spot in pg. They will go above and beyond to help you choose the perfect wine. Or find a certain region or grape. The food is always on point. Love the rotating tap. I hope they are here to stay. There aren't many good places in this area. They also always have something going on.

First time visit for a work happy hour and was surprised that I hadn't heard about this great place yet since I live around the corner in Greenbelt. Service was wonderful, both in the bistro and in the store. I had a great server in the bistro who helped me figure out what to get to match my appetite. I didn't have time to fully check out the store since it's so big but I liked the selection of imported beers, seeing many I hadn't had before. Ended up choosing a ginger beer and a new to me Belgian ale - Delirium Nocturnum. I had a great conversation at checkout where the salesperson looked in the system for other beers I was interested in. I will definitely be back.

I LOVE this place. Tucked unassumingly into the back of a strip mall in an old Circuit City building, some people still don't know it's there. You're missing out! The place is a gold mine for craft beers, interesting global and local wines, bourbons, and an ever increasing range of diverse spirits. (Thanks for adding Bar Hill gin!) If they don't have what you're looking for, ask them about it. Old Line is the only place I've found locally that carries my bourbon of choice (Willet) and it's selection of other bourbons is top notch. It also carries a wide range of gluten-free beers and ciders, which helps when you have gluten allergies in the family. I've also attended a couple of events there such as wine/beer and cheese, and a fall festival. They often offer in-store events and contests and I recently won a case of wine! A CASE! I've also only had good experiences at the Bistro. I know that consistency has been an issue but I've always enjoyed my dining experiences and have often gone with a group and received very good service. I think Old Line is a great asset to our community and I hope they'll be here for many years to come.

With Old Line coming up on its first anniversary, it's time to take stock. The store is still a great find, a go-to place for the unusual and hard-to-find. The Bistro has been uneven, ranging from awesome to aggravating. The food I have ordered, for the most part, has been tasty and reasonably priced. I just had the flatbread (veggie pizza) for lunch and enjoyed every bite, and the mac and cheese is blissful. The service, though is cold and slow. I miss Pablo's friendly manner; the current bartender is pleasant but reserved, and I always feel like apologizing for asking her for anything. I have brought large parties here a few times in the last few months and waited and waited and waited to everything, from menus to a check. I joined the craft beer club and got on the mailing list, but the emails have dwindled to nothing and so have the events. I hope they are around long enough so I can enjoy it! Bottom line: I still come here to buy wine and beer. I try the Bistro now and then, but only if I am not in a rush, or with a large part. Hope they succeed, but service needs to improve and then be consistently good!

Easily the best craft beer selection you are going to find in the suburbs. The 15 or so on draft were all excellent choices. The atmosphere, food and service were wonderful. There was even Sinatra playing in the background with Van Gough prints on the walls.

It's my understanding that this place is under new ownership. The new owner was nice enough to contact me personally and offered me a free lunch. To me this reflects a positive change in this business. I bet the place is much better now, and I'm looking forward to going in for another visit.

Now there is Reason to Go to Costco with my wife. I Dread the Crowds as Costco. Here is an Oasis with good food and MORE shopping. The chefs wife is the ambassador or cheese from France, she Introduced us, had a nice talk while looking at the dive from space. Have large and small glass so you can try a bigger variety. And was given a sample of Southern tier 2x IPA. 3 Rotating Flying Dog taps, and 3 Philosophers round out the best Tap selection in College Park, IN or OUT of the beltway.

I was always a big fan of Old Line when I used to live in Greenbelt. The liquor store has the best selection of alcohol in the area. The bistro has really good food in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. I really liked the burger and grilled chicken sandwich. There are not many bistro-type restaurants in Beltsville, so Old Line really is a gem.

I am really glad I found this place! I stopped in about a month ago and since then the Bistro has become my go to restaurant / bar. The food is always Great (I'm especially partial to the Bangin Shrimp, The Crab Soup and the Steak Frites) and I've always had good service. I have grown to like it so much that I now bring clients and groups to the Bistro knowing it will be a good experience for them and for me. My experience got a lot better when I realized that I could go out through the rear of the building in order to head South on Rt. 1 instead of trying to make a left from the main parking lot.

Bistro is INSIDE the liquor store. Odd! The food is average. The service was TERRIBLE! I had a new waitress-OK. She slapped some bottle on my table never telling me what it was or how to open it [it was water], then about 10 seconds after I got my food asked how it was and was never seen again...that wasn't the bad service though.... Upon finding the bistro the veteran waitress was chatting while I stood there waiting to be seated. Finally, I asked if I seat myself and she said yes. Never leaving her conversation. Then after sitting a few minutes, this veteran waitress told me my waitress was new, was figuring out a check & would be over soon and then left. She took no drink order, no nothing. About 10 minutes later [No lie! I was about to leave] this new waitress comes to my table after I hear the veteran waitress tell her that I was her table. I understand "new", but nothing, no service at all, from the veteran waitress?! I'll never return. Oh, they were not busy!

Great liquor store, terrible restaurant. I really wanted to like this place. It was exciting to see an independent restaurant with an ambitious menu open in an area that doesn't offer a whole lot. Unfortunately, the spirit of the dank Circuit City that used to occupy the building seems to have remained (although strangely restricted only to the back where the restaurant is - the liquor store is top notch). After far too many attempts and too much money spent, I can conclude that Old Line Bistro is The Worst Restaurant. I will share my two worst OLB experiences. 1. The Crabcake Incident. There was a new menu featuring crabcake, and hey, I like crabcakes. Or at least I thought I did. The thing was so overparsleyed that it looked like a putting green-flavored snowball. Worse than that, it was about the temperature of a putting green flavored-snowball. I'm all for not overcooking things, but I remain adamant that a crabcake should be hot all the way through. To their credit, when I complained they heated it up, and a manager came to the table and offered me a drink or dessert or whatever, but still. If you thought that was bad, just wait until you hear about Crab Incident 2: The Steamening. 2. They were advertising steamed Maryland crabs, Maryland style, with all the Maryland trimmings (Old Bay, corn, stuffing, cranberry sauce, etc.). So I headed up there and got me some. They smelled great, like Old Bay with Old Bay in it. But something was wrong. Terribly wrong. Opening a crab unleashed a crab-scented deluge, leaving behind crab meats the consistency of kindergarten paste. Further inspection revealed that the crabs seem to have suffered a Moe Green-like fate - each one had a hole in its head. Our server informed us that the chef had taken it upon himself to remove the crabs' eyes, as if that's something people do. Sounds like an early sign of serial killer tendencies to me, but I don't have any culinary training. Anyway, the crabs - otherwise very nice, seemingly - were ruined. It was a good thing I bought a bunch of wine beforehand to console myself. OLB is not without its virtues. It has a long, ever-changing beer list. They offer quite a few artisanal small-batch-type liquors a half shot at a time, which is nifty. Sometimes you get a sandwich that isn't awful, and sometimes there's an interesting special (fish and chips with skate wing, for instance). That only takes you so far when the crabs have no eyes and their cakes are frigid. Please note that this review refers only to the restaurant. Old Line is a fantastic liquor store. It has a huge selection, especially strong in the local beer and microdistilled liquor areas. They have tasting events that are generous and interesting. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Just don't eat there.

Was a little tough to see from the road, but a fantastic selection of beer and liquor. The bistro in the back had about 20 different beers on tap, and the food was very good, if maybe a little expensive. I had the crab cake sandwich and enjoyed the truffle Mac & Cheese. Others on the party enjoyed a beer-soaked Reuben and a lovely burger named after contemporary television programs.

I'm going to start off by saying - I'm reviewing the liquor portion of the store... not the bistro. This store is fantastic - an amazing selection of (relatively) hard to find liqueurs and small batch craft liquors. It's the only place I've seen Balcones bourbons outside of Texas! I've found everything my little heart desired here from Green Chartreuse to a grapefruit liqueur I never imagined I would find anywhere in the DC metro area. Their wine selection is also quite fantastic. Their staff is incredibly knowledgable and friendly which is made doubly impressive when you consider how extensive their collection is. They've won me over - as long as I'm in this area I plan on patronizing Old Line.

I am a huge fan of this place! They have a gigantic selection of Great Wines and a really fun selection of beers. The liquor selection is great, too! I have been there several times and have eaten in the Bistro every time. While the owners and managers are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, sometimes the staff are a little green, so be forwarned, you are going to know more about wine, beer, and food than most of the new staff do. The passionate ones will learn. That said, the wine, beer, and food in the Bistro are DEEEEEEEELICIOUS! We've had the seared duck breast with truffled potao puree and jus, the mussels in a simple white wine butter sauce, the cream of crab soup, the french onion soup, the burgers, the baked truffled mac-n-cheese, the creme brulees (chocolate and vanilla), the bread pudding, and the ceasar salad. EVERYTHING has been really yummy. You can buy a bottle of wine out front in the store and carry it to the Bistro with the receipt and just pay a $10 corkage fee to enjoy it in the bistro if you're not happy with the by-the-glass selection on the menu, however, both times I've done this, they have waived the corkage fee. NIce! I never leave without a bottle of wine or a six-pack of beer, but FYI, they DO offer case discounts on larger purchases. On a couple of occasions, we have stumbled upon a tasting already in progress out in the store. They have fun things going on every week, so definitely check out the tastings schedule to expand your knowledge of upscale booze and catch a free buzz. Just sayin'. They also sell fun things like snarky cocktail napkins, 'I HEART BELTSVILLE" t-shirts, and yummy crackers, jams, olive oils, balsamic vinegars, and gift baskets.

We sat at a table for 30 minutes waiting to be acknowledged by the wait staff. Maybe a glass of water? We got up and left. No one, including the owner who sat one table over, even questioned our departure. Maybe we were invisible that night. I couldn't venture to guess if the food is any good.

This review is for the liquor store, as I haven't gotten to try the bistro yet. In a word: wow. This is the promised land for those of us in northern PG County. Most of the liquor stores in College Park are decidedly, well, college-oriented. A smattering of craft beers, some pseudomicros (the ones owned by giants like AB InBev), and plenty of Miller and Bud. The Village Pump is a great store, but it's small. This place is essentially what the Pump would be if it expanded in size. The first thing I noticed is that there is a ton of alcohol here. The wines are all organized by type and origin, and boy do they have lots of them. The beers are organized by origin as well, and once again they have a wide selection of six packs, big bottles, and everything in between. There's a cold beer section as well, and the prices seem to be the same as the warm beers. I didn't give the liquor section much of a look but they seem to have quite a range of those hard drinks as well. Oh, and mead too. Friggin' mead. The employees are all very friendly and helpful. They actually approach you and ask if you need help finding something, and they won't hesitate to recommend a drink if you can't make up your mind. I'd still like to try the bistro (they do beer tastings on Fridays and Saturdays), but as a liquor store, this place is excellent.

I have yet to eat at the bistro, but as far as selection and price are concerned it does not get much better. The staff is friendly and helpful. And yes, I do not mind taking an hour, roundtrip, to not only find the beer I like but save money at the same time.

Update: Old line has won me back over. Went in tonight solo after long hard day at work for a burger and a beer, only hoping one thing: that it wouldn't suck. Thanks old line, it didn't. A big delicious burger came out, fresh bun, lots of fries, medium rare just like I ordered, and it was fast. Craft beer of the day (EVO lot # 3) was excellent too, and a good value at 6.00 a pint. I'm really not that hard to please. Just do the simple things right. They've hired a tall and shapely blonde to work the bar and that doesn't hurt the overall experience either. I'll definitely be back for another burger, old line.

I attended a networking event at the Old-Line last night. Since I had never been to this establishment I really had no expectations. When I walked in I was blown away by the great selections and competitive prices on the retail side of the operation. Since we were a bit early my partner and I stopped in the Bistro to have a quick bite before networking event. The Bistro staff was excellent and it was evident they care about the customer. I'm not a big drinker and the selection was enormous. I had really no idea what I wanted. The Bartenders were awesome and explained how the different brews were made and offered tastings to help with the decision ( they care). I had one of the $3.00 appetizers and again my expectations were exceeded with the presentation and fantastic flavors. During the event the staff once again was on top of it, every time I turned around there was a friendly face offering me something from the kitchen. This place is enormous and they can handle a crowd. I would certainly endorse them for both the restaurant while on a date or hosting an event.

Three businesses under one roof: The wine and spirits store has the largest selection this side of Total, with an emphasis on the interesting and unusual. Tastings will be regular, so be sure to get on their email list. The Market is a work in progress, and is asking for suggestions. The Bistro is more like a gastro pub, with 20 brews on tap and more in bottles, a short but useful wine list, and 1/2 oz sips of craft spirits in a cozy, shadowy corner of the building. The menu is mostly light fare such as cheese and charcuterie plates, soups, sandwiches, and mussels. The burger was excellent, charred on the outside and juicy inside, with just enough bacon and cheese to compliment the beef. The fries should have been crisper. I'd love to see some live music and flights of beer and wine, and a buy it in the store/drink it in the bar deal. I hope they get enough buzz to stay alive - the location was once a Circuit City.

I loved going to this place when I lived in Greenbelt! They were always changing the food menu so you could always try new stuff. I'd recommend the burger and the mussels. The liquor store also has a huge selection of stuff out front at reasonable prices. Its the best bourbon selection I found in PG county. There are not many bistro-type restaurants in Beltsville, so Old Line really is a gem.

For a Beltsville native and frustrated foodie Old Line Bistro is a diamond in the rough. tucked in the back of the new Old Line Fine Wine & Sprits, the Bistro has a great selection of craft brews and fine wines as well a solid selection of food that is huge cut above your standard pub fair. Smoky mussels, cream of crab soup that is made in back and not from a can are just some of the options on the menu. An inventive staff and comfortable surroundings make this my new hang out and local favorite.

Stopped in for lunch yesterday and I'd have to say I'm a fan of the food but the service. It is a little more pricey then the average lunch spot but I think that came through in the quality of the food. My husband got the French dip and the baguette it came on was so soft and fresh. I got a burger and it was cooked a perfect med rare and had a great charbroiled grill flavor. The beers were delicious as well. You really can't go wrong with draft craft beers. I gave 3 stars because our server was sweet but honestly didn't do good a job. We were the only table and she did things like brought the soup then went to get the small plate of bread/brought the French dip then came back with the au jus. As a server I feel you should utilize both hands. It makes for quicker service. Also my husband ordered no cheese(he's allergic) and it came out w/cheese so they had to remake the sandwich. If we would of been the average lunch patron in a time crunch we would of been really upset about the service. I'd say give it a try but make sure you're not in a hurry.

2.5 stars. I've been to Old Line twice now, strolled through its cavernous aisles stocked with alcohol of every variety and ate at the Bistro twice. This review is really just for the Bistro, and I'm sad writing it. So, have you been to Beltsville, or at least the part of it that runs along Rte.1? It's a pit and an eyesore, unless, of course, you happen to consider strip malls, industrial areas, fast food dives and gas stations to be pleasant. It's the kind of place you drive through really fast to get away from and to your destination as fast as possible. For some reason, the good people at Old Line decided this cluttered and ugly landscape would be the perfect place for a nice french-themed bistro and a massive warehouse of alcohol from around the world. Bless their hearts. The first trip to try out the Bistro made hope blossom in my heart. My friend and I sat at a high top almost directly in front of the bar, which may have accounted for the great service we received on that trip. That mac & cheese wasn't just good, it was damned good - luscious comte and truffle melting delightfully into shell pasta macaroni, with a buttery, crunchy topping. The sandwiches each of us tried were fantastic and different. The menu, while limited, was interesting, and I can get behind a limited menu when it means it allows the kitchen to excel at each and every dish. Last night I finally got my S.O. to go with to check it out. This time we were seated around the bend (I don't know how else to describe it - the place is huge and shaped very oddly because it used to be a Circuit City), not far away from a rowdy happy table of about ten. I'm not sure, but the Bistro seemed to have only two servers on hand - which of course makes sense, they haven't been super busy either time I've been there. But that means that those two servers need to hustle when there are finally paying customers. Of course, our waiter was the one dealing with the large group in his section, as well as...well, just us. He seemed to be dealing with essentially two tables, which proved to be one table too many. We waited and waited. We waited some more. Eventually we got our drink(s) - we'd ordered one, he showed up with an extra that we hadn't ordered. He left it with his compliments - let's face it, once the beer is drawn from the tap, the beer is not going back into the barrel. Then we took some time to wait again and eventually he came and took our order. Then we waited some more. Eventually, the two dishes my husband ordered appeared. He gazed at them longingly - we were starvin' - but being a gentleman he wanted to wait until I was served. I'd ordered the special of the day - fish and chips - so that would probably be along shortly. Fast forward to the end: it wasn't along shortly, and when it did arrive it was a dry, overcooked hunk of halibut. Again, although we didn't request it, the waiter said we wouldn't be charged (for the fish & chips) due to how long the meal took to arrive. My husband's requested soda never arrived at all. Our waiter was friendly and smiling and very apologetic about the service problems and the fact that my husband had to actually get up twice to go inquire about where things were with our drinks and meal. He explained that it was his very first day. I still want this to work for them, I really do, because I thought the Bistro had promise and might be a place to take guests for some good, refreshingly-different-from-the-rest-of-the-area food and atmosphere. Sadly, I think they may become a victim of the area: not enough business to attract good talent in the kitchen and on the floor, and given their odd, hidden location, perhaps just not enough business, period.

I came for the Bistro. The good- I had no idea this place had opened. Old Line has a wide assortment of wine and beer- including many from the local area. I look forward to coming back next time I'm shopping for alcohol. The medium- The food at the bistro was ok. Not great, but not bad. The beer list was good, but they were out of 4 items on the list. I'd come back based on the food and beer. The bad- The service was awful. We ordered beers, they never showed, a second waitress found our waitress. They were out of the beer. So we ordered different ones. They came after the food showed up. I ordered the crab and lobster special. It didn't come with the lobster. I had to ask the waitress to find it. It took 3 requests to get a nut cracker. We would have ordered at least 2 more beers, if the waitress ever showed up. The water was never refilled. I read the earlier reviews and hoped the staffing issues would be solved over time. Apparently not. I'll be back to get a bottle and eat somewhere else.

A bunch of us from work went here on Friday to have lunch. Since we were going back to work we stayed away from the beer but looking at the selection you would have been happy if you were a fan of IPAs, other than that the selection was that of a regular sports bar. The service was fine, really can't complain about it. The atmosphere was kinda disappointing - you can tell it once was a retail store converted over but they are putting in a good go of it to make it look decent. As for the food, all I can say is meh... We pre-ordered which may have been a mistake because the food was obviously done and sitting a while. My over salted matchstick fries were dead cold. My French dip was cold and the bread hard as a stone and only by soaking it in the lukewarm dip did the bread soften. The real disappointment was the dry hard beef cut really thick - the only flavor that came through was salt. Sad. If I went back it definitely wouldn't be in a large group with a pre-order. For what it's worth the burgers looked decent as did the onion rings.

This is not only a liquor store with a large beer/wine selection, but one of my favorite bistros in College Park area. I have been there a few times and the service is usually ok. The cream of crab soup was very creamy and tasty and with a lot of crab meat! The steak was also very delicious. If I'm not in the mood of driving all the way to DC for food, this place is always a very good choice.

I've been in here thrice already. First shot - came in looking for a relatively hard to find rum (haven't seen it in MoCo liquor stores). They had it, and it was cheaper than the other huge liquor store on 198. Took note of the extensive and well-curated liquor selection and decided it'd be a great place to bring back my bartender roommate. Came back with him, got all kinds of goodies and ate well at the Bistro... three hours later, he was so happy and so in his element. Many goodies were acquired and the house is stocked. Third time (now that's the charm), my sister was begging for a random seasonal. Inquired on their little text box on the website and got an answer within 15 minutes from Larry. Swung by there on my way out of town and they had it as promised. Everyone who works there has been as nice and as helpful as possible. Hoping to become a regular!

When this place first opened I raved about The Bistro to everyone i knew in my own personal crusade to make it stay in business and have somewhere nice to take guests to in town. I would have given it 10 stars back then, if I were one to post reviews. In the past two months I've noticed a considerable drop in the quality of the food - the Mac and cheese with Comte and truffle oil that I used to go on and on about is now a blah watery mess. The cheese plate that used to have all kinds of unique/rare cheeses is now just blah ... The specials that used to be adventurous are now just standard fare. Tonight I learned why - the amazing chef Ben that spearheaded the opening of the Bistro is no longer there, and the replacement chef simply can't and shouldn't try to replicate Ben's recipes. He is failing. I also learned that the friendly, gregarious bartender Pablo is also gone - which is a shame because he was as good as they come. The new folks lack his personality. Bistro aside, this is a great place to buy a selection of wine and craft beers - which is why I gave it stars at all! Also, Jonathan offers great wine seminars and the wine tastings are always well selected and served up cordially and with knowledge. If I were rating on the store side alone it would be a 5 but the disappointment and dissatisfaction I now have bistro means that it's time to find a new place for happy hour (maybe I will just go and buy the goods and get takeout with friends - at least then I can enjoy the food with my wine!)

I've read over some of the previous reviews, and the Bistro dining area gets ratings from 1 star to 5. They've always been great, depending on what waitress you get. Recently a new manager has taken over and the people that provoked the low ratings have been let go and replaced. So if you've been here and were disappointed in the service or food, I'd suggest giving it another try. This place is a gem in the Beltsville area which is inundated by fast food stores, nail salons and other strip mall annoyances. The staff is attuned to their customers' needs. Larry has always been great at suggesting rare microbrews for us, the management and workers have always been helpful (even the over-the-top Red Sox fan is nice to me when I wear my Yankees hat in there!). The staff is friendly, the food is great and the beer, wine and liquor selection is unrivaled in this area! How can you go wrong? Oh, and the prices are actually very reasonable. Some items slightly below price for the area, other items are downright cheap! Also, keep an eye out for their beer tastings, the craft displays and other special events. This place is a business that deserves your patronization.

If you're in the College Park/Beltsville area and need to get to a big box beer/wine/liquor store you know you have to go out of county or state for your needs. Now we have such a store near by. And besides just that, there is a bonus none of the other places have, a Bistro/Gastro Pub. Old Line Bistro is a great place that has been lacking in this area. The Bistro in the back-right side of the store has ~20 microbrew taps with a great regular selection and 4 of them rotating. They also have a few bottled beers and a nice selection of wines and liquors (signature cocktails). The food is great, everything I've had there has been just spectacular. The Cheese platter and Charcuterie platter are really nicely selected and a real treat. I've also had the mussels which were done expertly. The pan seared duck breast is simply awesome! The staff are friendly and helpful. It is so nice that we have something like this local now and don't need to go to DC, VA or Mont. Co. Do yourself a favor and check this place out asap!

Dined here with a couple pals yesterday. Don't let the defunct Circuit City facade fool you--this place is great! Humongous beer, wine, and liquor selection, PLUS a brand new bistro in the back of the store. It's only been open about a month, but they have their act together. Very nice decor, fantastic selection of beers on tap, and gourmet food. I had the duck for lunch--very decently priced and cooked perfectly. My buddies' food (mussels and steak salad) turned out well, too. Highly recommended!

I really wanted to love this place since it was such a gem... a liquor store with a bistro in the back?! So I came here with another couple and a child... Its definately not child friendly, but doable. Its seat yourself, we found out after about 5 minutes of standing by the door, sign would help. Decor is nice and place feels very welcoming. We pretty much tried everything they had here's how it turned out... Cream of crab soup- delicious, very creamy, a little spicy but I prefer mine with a kick Charcuterie plate- Yummy selection of meats, pate was awesome but it only came with a few hard crostinis and wasnt enough for the portions of meat provided. Mussels- Very clean and great flavor, my 6 year old nephew couldn't get enough of them. Rock fish Salad- this was my entree it was a special that night, I was not happy at all with it... the raspberry vinagrette tasted completely like vinegar and nothing else, the fish was cooked to perfection but was lacking flavor, i really attempted to eat it but the overpowering vinegar and lack of flavor I gave up! Steak Frites- Fiance ordered this and again steak was cooked perfectly but needed some seasoning. The grill on this steak though was excellent, it is truly hard to find someone to who can cook a perfect steak! the french fries which seemed to come with most meals were addictive! Old line Burger- Nephew had this and I grabbed a bite! Broche bun yummy, burger pretty tasty. Cheescake- Ordinary cheesecake, but the sauces that accompianed it were very yummy! I told you we pretty much ordered everything! all in all the food was pretty good for what i expected and prices are fair. We did notice a group of people some employees of the resturant take a table in the middle, there were about three gentlemen and they walked around and talked to almost every table to seem how things were but then returned to their table and never acknowledge our table. I found that off putting. Also the waittress was pretty slow, we recieved our check and she disappeared for 15 minutes, also wasnt very good at keeping the drinks refilled. We had to ask the bus boy for drinks refills, It might be because she was the only waitress for the bar and dining area?! All in all i would come back to the place and enjoy some beers at the bar. One tip to owner- a list of your daily food specials would be great, I only knew you had specials from previous yelp reviews as the waitress did not mention them.

This place is awesome, there is really nothing else like it out there. Liquor, beer, wine, and a restaurant! This place is going to be on my weekend errand list from now on. I'll stock up on booze and have a nice lunch! What could be better than that? Definitely worth a visit.

What a find? In Beltsville of all places! This place is not your average "liquor store". It has a large and diverse selection of wine, beer, and spirits. There is also a pub in the back of the store with great food and service. My one complaint is that the cheese and meat plates could use more bread. Try the fried oyster and creamed spinach on toast if it is available. It's sublime!

We were a little nervous about grabbing dinner at the Bistro after reading other Yelp reviews and getting personal reviews from friends. We wanted to give it a try, however, so we decided to go for it. I guess that all the feedback has made a difference, because the service was AWESOME. Our waitress was attentive, the food came out quickly, and everything tasted great. We tried the cream of crab soup after all the raves, and it was delicious. Towards the end of our meal, the manager also stopped by to see how we were doing, so that was a nice touch. The store itself also has a great selection. I'm always on the search for new craft beers, so it was nice to have a few to choose from. The staff was also very friendly. We'll definitely be back! The store prices seemed reasonable to me. The Bistro was a bit on the pricey side.

Why is there no ZERO star rating? That's what this bistro deserves. Total disaster for our party of 30 celebrating some work successes. We had a reservation, but they could not have done a worse job if they had tried. Entrees came out over an hour and a half period- most people had already left and 6 of us were still waiting for our entrees 3 HOURS after we ordered. No drink refills, appetizers that took an hour for a cheese plate, wrong drinks, no water, no bread....then they ran out of food! "Manager" apologized and did comp those last 6 entrees (that they ended up handing us in to go boxes), but then she went home while 6 of us were still sitting there with no food. I understand that things go wrong, but they didn't make any effort to fix anything while they were destroying our party. The worst restaurant experience I have ever had- and the food they shoved in my to go box was not even close to what I ordered.

The bistro is awesome! Do not let the fact it is in the back of a liquor store fool you. Great selection of beer on tap, and wine. The staff is friendly and the food is great. My wife and I have been to the Old Line Bistro three times. The food is very good and not terrible expensive. Pablo the bartender was very helpful and didn't hesitate to let us try samples of beers and ciders before we ordered. Since my wife doesn't drink beer Pablo was very helpful at making drinks she likes. As for the food. We have tried Pan Seared Duck Brest, Charcuterie Plate, Old Line Burger, Chicken& Pork Gumbo, and Popcorn Shrimp. All were very tasty. The duck especially was amazing. Tender and flavorful. The beer selection at the bar is very good and they even have hard ciders on tap (when available). The bistro is a nice place to watch a game or just relax. The liquor store has a huge selections of wines, beers, etc. We will be back next weekend.

New favorite spot! Went there for lunch today and had a great experience. Loved the atmosphere, nice cozy bar. The burgers were delicious but just a little bit too pricey in my opinion. Overall we had an amazing experience and definitely will be back - maybe for the happy hour next time!

Food was really good - people aren't lying about the Cream of Crab! We had burgers which were big and very filling - I couldn't finish. Cocktails were also good - I will be coming back to try more!

Awesome happy hour food, awesome happy hour beer. Hidden treasure in Beltsville. Please don't come here - locals only.

Nice happy hour with $2.50 bottle beers $4.00 wine by the glass. Food specials $3.00 really good 6 oz burgers, steak and cheese egg roll and BBQ pork slides. Very nice bartenders . Plus extensive retail liquor and wine store. Hidden gem in PG county Beltsville.

Love it!

Went there for an office happy hour yesterday. Great atmosphere, really good beer selection, and steep discounts on food during happy hour. Plus the service is good. Definitely coming back.

We had the BURGERS and they were cooked to profection, very MOISTand FLAVORFUL,,,,Also try the CRAB BISQUE=WONDERFUL!! This is definitely A HIDDEN JEWEL OF BELTSVILLE. I returned a week later for dinner and enjoyed myself just the same.

I have had a number of things on the menu including the mussels and been very happy. This is a great find, and you can grab whatever you need in the store on the way out: )

Excellent food and great craft beer selection on draft in the bistro. The store is also a welcome addition to the Beltsville/College Park neighborhood. Good selection of wine and beer and especially craft spirits which are often hard to find.

Awesome. Nough said. Seriously folks I wish I had this place in our area. Beer, wine, liquor, and a great Bistro - it is great. Thanks to Pablo especially for being a wonderful host/bartender. We will be back!

Fabulous place! We stopped for lunch as we were passing though. Delicious food. Excellent and very attentive service. My husband, who loves wine, had a hay-day buying wine at this establishment.
