Always bustling, giant variety of enticing pizzas on view ready for you to select-a-slice that will be popped in the industrial oven. However! The pizza crust is of the puffy styro variety, so I avoid. What I do get (often) is a piping hot cheesesteak. It comes with provolone and is encased in a crunchy hoagie style bun. Fries are nice - the steak fry type. Very kind owner is always at the till - a sweetheart. Wish they had something other than sports on the tube.

For lunch today, I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan with rigatoni, which came with a salad. I'm a tough judge and I found it to be very good food at a good price, especially if you're craving Italian food.

The entire staff was amazingly professional and kind. Our food came very quickly, but was absolutely delicious (I had the crab pizza). The price was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. I'd definitely recommend.

Shared a plain cheese pizza with our three kids of different ages. No complaints - the cheese was ample (it seemed like an extra cheese pizza), though sometimes fell off the slice entirely. The price was reasonable, and they had a decent cross-section of sodas. Everyone felt satisfied with two slices. The atmosphere is meh, but the pizza was hot, fresh, and good, so whatever.

I have been here many times now and have tasted the pizza, chicken parm sub, Italian sub, and a few other things. All the food is actually decent, and I have been pleased with the taste and quality. Now....the reason for my 1 star rating: the owner is THE biggest jerk with a massive attitude! He NEVER greets or speaks to customers as they enter or exit and he doesn't even smile. He is just rather surly, rude and unpleasant. And as I mentioned, I have been more than 6 times in the past 2 months, and never once did he say "hey, nice to see you again", or "welcome back". He also yells at his staff in front of everyone, and offers zero in the way of any kind of customer service. I will not be going back because the owner needs a major attitude adjustment. He is really that bad! With so many restaurant choices around....why would I spend my money at an establishment that clearly doesn't care. No thanks.

Why are all the male servers at Vitos in Cockeysville so pompous. They make you very uncomfortable If carry in wine policy with a $10.00 corkage is not appropriate then proprietor should change policy. Waiters should not try to humiliate you Ordered fish of day. Portion was less than child's portion and not filling. Have been going to this restaurant for twenty years. Many undesirable changes and frequent establishment less and less often Too bad. Was a great restaurant

Best pizza I have found in b-more. Granted places like Toss and Iggies are great, but they are overpriced. This is a great place for a good slice!

Of the pizza. Dough was undercooked, toppings were soaked with garlic butter to conceal their low quality and tastelessness, and thrown together with so little care that one piece would be loaded, while the one next to it would be bare. Will not be returning. Hopefully this review causes them to improve.

Best slice in bmore!! Very impressed with the pie; the dough was thin and lovely. Cheese could have been a little fattier, sauce wasn't offensive. Fried mushrooms to beat the band. All for just a dollar or two more than shoddier chain pizzas. This joint certainly doesn't deserve the critique on the front page; the owner is sweet if a little brusque. Overall 9/10!

The pizza is decent but the main guy is incredibly rude. This review was primped by our most recent experience. We ordered 5 pizzas on Halloween for a 5:20pm pickup. At 6:10 we were still waiting for our pizza order and when we finally went to the register to tell them to cancel our order...enough was enough....they threw 5 pizzas at us. No apology for waiting an hour, no nothing.

It's ok. Had cheesesteak w/fries. Not terrible certainly not the best in town. Same for sausage and pepperoni pizza. Again ok, but not the best. Owner behind the counter looked at me like I was crazy for asking for Old Bay on my fries. This is Baltimore! Geez.

SO AMAZING. Bought 10 large pizzas and got a discount for 5 FREE salads. Their subs are so delicious along with their ravioli. it's literally heaven there. The owner is really awesome if you get to know him super funny! great man! FOREVER LIVE VITO'S PIZZA.

The service wasn't very friendly, but the food was fantastic. I only got carryout and we got cheesesteaks which were some of the best in the area. I'm not a huge fan of chains, but will be returning here.

I have no idea what people are talking about when they say staff/owner is rude. We order every Friday and the man at the register is always nice to us. Their pizza is much better then any others around the Rodgers Forge area.

Love this place. From New York and Vitos pizza is just as good if not better than anything from NY. Guy at the counter is very friendly, says thank you every 5 seconds. Get the chicken parm slice and forget everything you ever thought you knew about pizza. White slice is very good as well.

I agree with every negative review. I have tried to give this place more than one "second chance" and its a terrible experience every time. Calling in, you are never really sure what you ordered is what you will get. (better look first before driving home). Ordering and paying at the register is that gentleman everyone is referring to, spending all his attention on looking up at the TV and not focusing on you the customer. Finally the food. Its just ok not good.

A friend and I went there for some pizza on a Tuesday night. We ended up getting a small veggie and an order of fried mushrooms. The mushrooms were fried super hard and weren't all that great. The veggie pizza was surprisingly tasteless. I didn't know such a thing could happen! Anyway, I won't be rushing back. It wasn't horrible, but I've had much much better.

Yum! Best Pizza and Subs in Towson! LOOOVE for gnocchi! We always order from here! Delivery would be a great addition, but we like the food enough to drive the 10 minutes to pick it up. One note: deep fried veggie items we've ordered have been burnt every time. They could be delicious, but they're burnt so we don't order zucchini or mushrooms anymore. See you soon, Vito's!

I went to college up the street from this place for 4 years, and in all that time I was unable to find a better slice. Bear in mind, though, that says way less about this pizza than it does about Baltimore as a city. I'm probably spoiled growing up so close to NYC, and enjoying all that comes with that privilege, but that doesn't change the fact that this pizza is just OK.

Great pizza, with a variety of pizza types that are often overlooked at other pizza joints in Baltimore. The regular cheese pizza by the slice is closer to NY Style then other places I've tried in Baltimore. Subs are decent as well. The counter help can sometimes come off as a bit curt, but it seems to be more of a language/cultural thing then anything personal, so that never bothers me one bit.

I'd rather eat a Trader Joes frozen pizza. The subs and other stuff is OK though.

Surprisingly good pizza! It all depends on the kind of crust you like.It is not the greasy, bread like crust. The one here is very italian (thin and airy) and the pizza with the white sauce, brocolli and ricotta cheese was very good. I would definetly order again. The place is busy during lunch time.

In discovering the local restaurants I stopped in Vito's for a quick slice. They had a good selection and some what looked like pepperoni rolls. I would have tried one of those, but not wanting some heavy, decided to skip the greasy looking rolls. So, I tried the margarita slice. A bit pricey at $4.00 a slice, but I guess that extra effort of hand placing a leaf of basil on each slice of mozzarella is the cost. The crust was thin and that along with the very mozzarella and basil should have made a wonderful slice of pizza. Perhaps if I were to stopped by earlier in the day the pizza would not have been as stale and old tasting. I guess a slow Saturday had it sitting since before noon. So, not a bad place for local pizza, just don't get there late in the day. Pasta Mista in Towson does not seem to have that problem as they are busy all day long.

Excellent New York style Pizza. Outside of my favorite joints in New york (and Boston and Providence, which also have great new york style pizza), this is the best New York style pizza that I've found. They know the secret for the cheese and their gravy is top notch. Whenever I go to Baltimore, this is a must stop. Hey guys, I'll be back in November. "Fin Fan out".

(Update: When I called to place a complaint he talked over me and then hung up on me.) I just visited Vito's for the first time tonight (1/18/2013) with a coworker who told me the food was great, so I said I would give it a try. The employee or owner who works at the front with the glasses, was initially a little pushy to get me out of the way as I looked at the menu. Then after me and my coworker ordered and received our food, I asked for one of those small cardboard boxes for us and as one of the other employees went to hand me one, he stopped him and just said no. He wouldn't even look me in my face, he just kept working on another order while saying out the side of his mouth that he wasn't giving me one unless I paid for it. He was extremely rude and didn't even have the decency to look me in the face while speaking to me, like as a customer I wasn't worth it. I was a first time and potential repeat customer that your business just lost.

Food is so-so . The Italian cashier is often downright rude. Don't try to save time and call in a take out order. You have to get in the ordering line and wait to pay and pick up the food. Customers picking up should be able to be pay immediately. Maybe that's why I can't say the food is better, it's been sitting while I stand in line. Get another cash register or when the line develops to more than say 4 people, call out for Pickup customers to come forward. The are just so many other eateries nearby that provide better service to develop customer loyalty.

I came here with my folks, who prize convenience over Good Food and atmosphere, and it's in the ease-of-use department that Vito's really excels. The fluorescent lights are super bright, so there's no need to worry that you'll leave with anything other than a clean plate. The slices, too, are so slick with grease that they're guaranteed to just slip on down your throat. ESPN is turned up so loud in the corner that there's no need to worry about conversation, and finally, it's right next door to Well's Liquors, so after stuffing your face with comfort food, you can pick up a six-pack of Bud Light and head home to drown your sorrows.

Was looking for pizza joints around Towson and came here on york road. Its in a shopping center with a tasty donut/ice cream store, and a rite-aid. Went around 11:30am and the place was buzzing with customers. Very nice staff gets you in and out quickly, even with a line. I tried the bbq chicken pizza (which was very tasty, but a bit too much sauce) and the cheese pizza, which was good. The thing here is the dough, which is fantastic. The slices are large, so order two and you'll be full til dinner time.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
