This is one of the best Thai food in Baltimore. I really love spring rolls here. its taste is very different from another restaurant. Goong Khob Pho is also my favorite. It is so spicy and it has wonderful unique smell and taste. For the entree, I really love 610 Panang Goong. The code is 610. You have to order it. It is always the best food. Giant shrimp come with the orange sauce. Extremely amazing. The service here is very good too. Five stars.

I ate from here twice so far - once was dine in and once was take-out. I ordered the pad thai both times, but I'm sure they gave me the wrong entree once because I definitely did not get the same entree twice. That's the only reason I am giving four stars instead of five. Otherwise, the food is absolutely delicious! I recommend dining in because the ambience is nice and cozy (the restaurant is small). The food is somewhat pricey, but the portions are gigantic! I always have food leftover to eat later. I highly recommend the egg rolls with either shrimp or chicken. Even though I was given the wrong order once, both times the food was delicious.

I came here for a graduation dinner after a nearby establishment that will remain unnamed coldly refused our party. At Thai Landing, the hostess sat us upstairs so we could have more privacy. The waitress was very cheerful and patient and the menu was able to accommodate those who had peanut allergies. I also like to come here for lunch and order smaller dishes like spring rolls. On a side note, when I play tour guide to Baltimore, I like to start in Mount Vernon and walk down Charles Street. This is a nice part of the city and it is a treat on a sunny day to bring your walking shoes and have lunch and visit attractions like the Walters Museum, Peabody Library, Washington Monument, Basilica, etc. before heading to the Inner Harbor. I usually park in a UB garage and take the Circulator back.

I ordered Thai Landing through the Eat24 app and I wasn't impressed. I got the wrong order completely. It was a more expensive order, but the food wasn't too good. The Pad Thai noodles were mushy and it just wasn't that good. I love Thairish Pad Thai better. I believe the order included Massman Curry, I couldn't tell for sure since I didn't order it. It had a decent amount of oil in it and it just wasn't very good. I don't like writing poor reviews, but the food wasn't good. The delivery was quick so that's why I gave one star. All around, disappointing.

(2/27/2015) This is one of our favorite Thai spots in town, so great with the classic balance of sweet, savory, sour, hot. We've been coming here almost 20 years. Love that there's finally new dishes to try out! Love the southern-style fried chicken; marinated in curry paste (fragrant mix of toasted, ground spices), coconut milk, peanut, drummettes Frenched from the bone and fried hard and served with a sweet-tart chile dipping sauce. Had the sticky rice flour chive dumplings (like a plump dim sum fave, gao choy bang), piping hot, crusted golden exterior, most sticky interior chock full of piquant, sauteed chives. Lots of new things to look forward to and a whole new vegetarian menu, I'll be coming back and often.

I had their vegetarian curry with peanut sauce and rice. Food was tasty. I was with a group of friends giving a farewell dinner to a friend. The place is cute and cosy so it was a good choice for the occasion.

This place is my new favorite delivery Thai place in Baltimore! We ordered Thai from Thai Landing on something of a whim and were pleasantly surprised. While I can't say much about the place itself (never seen it), the delivery was a bit lengthy - it took over an hour to get our food. Delivery was free, which was nice, but given the price of the food given the area, I'm sure they more than make it up. The food itself was worth the wait. The Yum Pet Yang, a simple duck appetizer, was absolutely delicious and a great start. The pad thai was also great. The Panang Curry, which I had, was rather awesome - it was exactly what you would expect it to be, but hit the spot in a nice way. Suffice to say, I'll definitely be re-ordering either of these if I get a craving for basic Thai and get too lazy to leave my place!

I have been trying to go to this restaurant for more than 20 plus years but because of their hours, I never made it. Well, the other night my neighbor ordered carry-out. At first I was like, Huh? The place that never opens? LOL!!! But to my surprise and delight, I was very pleased. Even our friend who is a picky picky picky eater enjoyed it. And from the comments, Carry-out is for me.

This place is okay. The food is just okay but the prices are a little expensive. But I find that every thai restaurant is somewhat overpriced. That just seems to be normal for them. Ordered tom yum gai soup and pad ka prao chicken, my usuals, and they were okay but not great

Thai Landing is a small intimate restuant located in the heart of Mount Vernon. Great location but parking may be a hard to find depending on what time you arrive. The servers are clean and very friendly even when they barely speak english. Jae a female server is a sweetheart and love being served by her. I love the Thai Tea.. its basically tea with cream/milk. YUMMY! Thai landing is perfect for date night or going there durning lunch time.

I have only ordered take-out from Thai landing, and it was delivered very slowly, taking almost 30 minutes longer than they said it would take. My dorm isn't that far from the restaurant. The food was a traditional Thai cuisine, and I ordered a Pad-See-Ew. I found this dish very oily and a little too sweet. However, the dish was large and filling, and I was able to save some for the next day. I think microwaving the noodles without the lid the next day helped reduce the amount of oil in my dish.

Very authentic Thai cuisine. I am always satisfied with every dish I order. The Thai iced tea is especially good! Great service. The food always comes very fast.

Delicious Thai food and reasonable prices. Their lunch special is among the best buys in Mount Vernon. Friendly staff, good food, and reasonable prices. How much better can you get?

A solid 4 stars. Much better than the two other better-ranked places in Baltimore I've tried. Great spice level to their spicy dishes; they don't overshadow the heat with too much coconut milk or cream like many places. I will probably try one or two other places before making this my go-to for Thai, but I'd be more than happy if that were the case.

Solid thai food and very friendly service. The restaurant is tiny, so I've only gotten takeout here.

I go to school down the street from this place but yet never had a chance to visit till yesterday. As we entered we were greeted and seated promptly. Our server name was Benz and she was a sweet heart. I ordered the chive dumpling pan fried which was really fresh. For my entree I ordered pad thai and man was it spicy. My eyes were watering. But it was still good. I ordered the ice tea which was good. I be coming back

I used to work nearby and really enjoyed eating here. I was pleased to see they deliver to me and started ordering from them. Now not so pleased. Don't get me wrong--the food is great... when the order is right and it actually gets here in less than two hours. They are one of the few Thai places that has vegetarian options clearly outlined in the menu. So it's really disheartening that I've gotten shrimp in two of my veggie papaya salads. That would be forgivable if they cared enough to just re-deliver the right thing when I called. But no--"You're too far away," they have said. This is their same refrain when I call to ask (always politely) at 9:30 about the whereabouts of the order I placed at 7:30 that was supposed to arrive at 8:30. WTF? I live two miles uptown! I can get there on a bike in under 15 minutes. Hell, I could walk it in a half hour. If you don't want to deliver, just don't. But don't whine about it when I call. I really want to like this place because they have a few truly unique veggie things that I just adore. The aforementioned papaya salad is awesome. I ask for it extra spicy (which they always seem to get right at least). Also, the larb tofu is really nice. And the chive dumplings... And the veggie duck... But until they ditch the snarky attitude, I'll think twice about ordering again. Except that I have really been craving that spicy papaya salad--I think they put crack in it.

*Note: This is a review on ordering take out.* A lazy day once again... had delivery and it took about 40 - 45 minutes. I had the thai iced tea and roti massaman curry with lamb cubes. The meat was incredibly tender and the roti was pretty soft. It also comes with a side of rice. I wish they gave me roti instead. The curry was pretty rich and it wasn't too greasy or anything. This place is rich in flavors of authentic thai cuisine. The peanuts were a nice touch to the curry.

So I just got delivery from here again via Eat24. I put in my order in the early afternoon but the restaurant didnt open 5pm...I was on the chat with Eat24 at around 5:05 to make sure that the place got my order...they were not really of any help so I got on the phone with the restaurant ...as soon as I got a live person lo and behold there was a knock at the door... it was the delivery guy 5:15 I get my order wow. Both the delivery guy and the lady on the phone were super nice. I was going to get pad thai but heeded others' advice...instead I had the green chicken curry and dcided to try a new dish the basil eggplant with shrimp; both delicious. I am sooooo pleased. They rock!

We enjoyed our dinner there. We shared a plate of chive dumplings and I had green curry with chicken....loved both. Thai Landing is a pleasantly quiet, small place on two floors with good service and a pleasant setting. Nothing took my by storm, but it was all good enough to come back another night.

DELIVERY REVIEW: I order from Thai Landing pretty often, and have had no problems with the food or delivery speed and service. There are a lot of vegetarian and even some vegan (gluten-free, at least) options, and their Thai iced tea is comparable to the one at the Bun Shop (which is great!).

My biggest complaint would be the food is simply overpriced, but there were other problems that added up to my never going back: 1) The green duck curry was $15. In fact all the curry dishes are around this much - probably some of the highest prices I've seen for curry. First impression - I've never had such a watery curry before. I like my curry sauce thick, unless of course I intend to eat it as a soup, which you could have in this case. Also there was a lot of curry and veggies, but not much duck. I liked the addition of grapes, green beans, and pineapple, but there was not enough duck to compensate all the pineapple. Lastly the green curry was a listed as on the lesser side of spicy but it was quite spicy and the waiter never asked how spicy I wanted it - which is standard practice for most thai places I've been to. 2) To go along with the curry I got the brown rice - it's another $2.50. Ok my meal with the curry is now $17.50. I get the brown rice and it's one of the smallest portions I've seen and doesn't even come close to being enough for the amount of curry I had. If you actually wanted to eat your entire curry dish properly and not have "rice soup" you would need to get two orders just for yourself. So yeah that's now a $20 mediocre curry dish. I do not like restaurants that nickel and dime you this way. 3) The Pad-Si-Eew. Also overpriced. Don't get me wrong it was good, but sorry not worth $13 for mostly noodles. 4) Don't get the "102. Thod Mun Pla." We wanted the catfish appetizer but they were out so I asked about the only other fish appetizer, and the waiter recommended it. I didn't read closely enough but it's fish that's kneaded into paste. It tasted just like tofu - I will never know how much actual fish if any was put in this paste but it was super doughy and just not good for $9. The waiter could've mentioned that this fish dish is not at all like the catfish option and really was just fish-flavored dough. ew. 5) While we were eating the waiters starting using chemicals (windex or bleach) to spray down the tables around us. So yeah we got to inhale that while we were eating. Several waiters did it without any mind to the fact that this is a tiny restaurant and the smell would indeed make it quickly to our table. We were the last of two tables still at the restaurant around 10pm (we weren't the last to leave), but you CANNOT do this while people are still eating. Bad bad waiting etiquette. 6) My friend and I split the bill and the waiter charged my card twice - that's never happened to me before and again goes to show the waiter was not paying much attention. 7) The bill for two came out to $40, then with tip $48. We only had waters, two entrees (duck curry and pad-si-eew) and one appetizer. Too much money for that experience.

Every Thai place in and around Mount Vernon definitely benefitted from the nosedive that Banthai took after it was taken over by new ownership, but I didn't find myself going back to Thai Landing after the first few visits. The quality of food and the flavor was great. Absolutely no complaints there. My issues are primarily the portion sizes compared to the price. If they're going to charge the prices they do, then they need to up the portions (or vice versa). I have a feeling that most people are satisfied enough with the taste that they're willing to excuse the high prices. Another reason could be the atmosphere in the restaurant, which is fantastic. I've only ever gotten takeout from them, but it would be a great spot for a date.

I have never eaten here as I live in Hawaii. I am giving 1 star review based on their business practices. My card was just charged for dinner there... And I am currently 6 hours behind, in Hawaii. I haven't even had dinner yet. I just got off the phone with my card company and they verified that it was manually entered. So.... It looks like there are some shady employees working there and making fraudulent charges, or they accept written down credit card numbers for payment without any proof of actually BEING the card holder. I am pretty furious right now. None of the places I have ever worked at would EVER allow this type of thing. If you eat here, pay cash.... Who knows who might steal your info!

Agree with other reviews - expensive for the quality. Have received half frozen apps before as well as have waited over an hour and a half for delivery. Food used to be a lot better, recently always leaves me disappointed. Even worse because it's so close!
I've ordered delivery from here 3 times and have only tried the Pad Si-Eew, but it is so consistently delicious I may not ever try anything else. The portions are generous which is rare for a Thai restaurant and the chicken used in the dish is real chicken, not pressed chicken. This is our home's official Thai delivery spot.

This is my favorite Thai place nearby. The service is great and the food is too. I love the pad see ew and the pad see pak but my favorite menu item is the golden fritters (it's soy "chicken" fritters). I share this appetizer even with my meat-loving friends. The Thai iced coffee and tea are excellent too. I come here about once a month and I've never had a bad experience.

I've had Thai Landing several times now and I think 3 stars is appropriate. There is nothing special about it. The inside is OK, but kind of cheesy in terms of the decorations. The food is good, but not great. They do deliver, which I'm a fan of. Parking around Thai Landing can be kind of rough, especially between 4-6PM. I think there are much more welcoming places to say bring a date for Thai food than here, but if you're looking for decent food with no frills then Thai Landing gets the job done.

I tried 3 items at this place: fried spring rolls, shrimp pad thai, and sticky rice with mango. Everything was completely delicious! The level of spice in the pad thai was a little high for a medium (not a bad thing) but something to be aware of. The sauce for the spring rolls was a great complement to the rolls. The ambiance is great! It is very "hole-in-the-wall" and very quiet. I liked it a lot!

Excellent and unique thai. Delicious. Get the Gai pad kra-prao!! Amazing. Great service. The food is super authentic because this place is run by a few thai ladies who cook for their families from real thai recipes.

I have ordered from Thai Landing twice now. I want to like it because they offer some tasty wings. That said, all of the entrees have been decidedly not good - weird ingredients, overspiced, and overcooked. Sad...I really wanted to like this place.

One of the many Thai places in Baltimore. This one rates somewhere in the middle. The restaurant has probably been around for a while. Thus the interior and design reflects that. There is never a wait, I have always have sat right down. The one dish I enjoyed was the roasted duck (Pet Pad Kra-prao), it is my go to dish. The noodle dishes are okay, I think there are better places for them in the area. The service is friendly. The waitress was nice and reminded us that mangos were not in season, and suggested against getting the mango sticky rice for dessert. Not a bad alternative for Thai food, especially when its dinner time and the waits for the surrounding restaurants are unbearable.

I was looking for Thai food in Baltimore, and went to Thai Landing restaurant with friends for a dinner, it's interior and ambiance is warm and welcoming. "Pad Thai" was better taste than other few Thai restaurants I visited recently. I asked the server to recommend the best dish in green and red curry base, yet didn't get authentic taste as experienced when I was in Bangkok. Service was friendly and helpful. I was expecting a slightly bigger portion of food, but we got big bowls and plates instead. Will be there again and recommended !!

Ordered delivery from this restaurant. Horrible experience. It took two and a half hours to get here. We called several times and were told each time that it was "on its way". The would not tell us when the food went out or where it was. When it arrived two and a half hours later it was cold, and disgusting. The spring rolls were mediocre. The shrimp pad thai was bland and the shrimp was chewy. The soup with chicken and straw mushrooms in the lemongrass broth - there was one big chunk of veiny chewy chicken, and the mushrooms were regular white button mushrooms, not straw mushrooms. And the soup container was only half full. I called before and after our food arrived and asked for a refund (I remained professional) and the woman there literally hung up on me four times. Luckily I had ordered it through an online service and it was able to refund my money. Bad food, slow delivery, and horrible customer service.

I've been obsessed with Thai food ever since my husband and I had our honeymoon in Thailand. I've been to this plan several times (most recently last night) and I've never had a bad experience I had a chicken curry dish that was amazing and had some of this duck dish that my friend ordered. I overheard the host (a short older Asian male who I believe may also be the owner?) go around everyone else's table asking if their meal was ok. He was friendly and told them that if there were any problems with the food, he wanted to know. I couldn't finish my meal because I was so full, and when it was time to ask for the check he asked me what was wrong with the chicken. I laughed and assured him it was delicious and I wanted to take the rest to go. It's a small restaurant but it has a nice cozy atmosphere and friendly service. I read all the negative reviews and they all seem to be with the delivery service. I think the sit-down experience is much different.

I just got carry out here for the first time. I was in between 2-3 stars. I got the pad woon sen. It was okay, very flavorful but I probably wouldn't order it again (it has way too many veggies than I had somewhere else and way more than my liking). However, this comes with tofu, chicken, and shrimp. I only got ONE (yes 1) shrimp!!! For $15 I was pretty upset about this. I asked for them to make it spicy, and it was, so that's good. But I probably won't be going back here again. Especially since Stang of Siam is 10x better and only a block away.

I went for dinner and brought a bottle of wine, since they offer BYOB during the holiday season. We ordered fried spring rolls, larb ghai and pad thai. Everything was delicious, but the lettuce served with the larb ghai was a bit limp. They were very accommodating about our spice preferences for the pad thai, and the portion was big enough to share between two adults, and still have leftovers. Our waitress was very nice and attentive to requests and refills.

I LOVE AUTHENTIC THAI! And I can truly say Thai Landing is pretty authentic. My best friend is Thai and the cooking here is just like how her mom cooks back at home. I love the owners too! They are always welcoming and they have a new menu system for lunch. For about $10 you get an appetizer and an entree. I always get 3-5 star spicy! And their dishes go far beyond Pad Thai... in fact I pretty much eat everything on this menu. Of course you have to let the waitress know how much spice you want. If you can't handle the heat then go for 1-2 but if you want really spicy to make your eyes water 5-6 stars is your deal! If it gets too spicy get some thai tea it will cool you down, I PROMISE :}

Horrible food. Delivery was fast and friendly. There were 3 hairs in my appetizer, so I threw it out (a $7.50 waste) and I ordered Pad Si-Eew, which I could only taste way too much salt to taste anything else-yuck! I've had this dish many times, it is supposed to be large, flat ride noodles with a smoked sweet soy sauce and chinese broccoli. It came with regular broccoli, it didn't specify on the menu, but I've never seen it made with regular. The noodles were soggy and not the right kind. The sauce was very watery, like chicken stock. The look and taste of this dish reminds me of crappy chinese food (I don't eat chinese because most of them use crappy ingredients and too much salt. I've never had Thai food this bad before. Huge disappointment and waste of money!

The food took over two hours for it to be delivered and they demanded tip. They wouldn't give me my food until they received tip and had a very rude attitude. The food was alright, but I would not go again. I definitely prefer Stang of Siam over this place!!

Great food, fast service, and cool interior. We left Stang of Siam off of Calvert St. angrily and embarrassed after waiting a full hour and not receiving even our salad or appetizer or an explanation from the server. We went into Thai Landing with very little time left for lunch, ordered and within ten minutes had our spring rolls and dinner served. Awesome crispy veggie spring rolls!!! So good! I mean as good as fried deliciousness will be. Pad Thai was delicious, but a bit on the smaller and pricier side compared to the $10 lunch special at Stang of Siam. Portions are a bit small, but the services was quick and our server constantly filled our water and was very attentive. I would def go here again as a work lunch or recommend this place for people who need take out near the area or want a cute romantic dinner.

I love Thai Landing. The food is always perfect. I love that they have a vegetarian section on the menu and the assurance that food can be made fish-sauce free. Service is uneven but always pleasant. The galangal soup is especially good!

Due to the bad weather, we decided to eat at a nearby restaurant and Thai food won the what do we eat contest. We always indulge our Thai tastes at Thai Landing because of its convenient location off of the JFK. We had our usual meal starting with some tasty Chicken Satay. The owner was nice enough to give us a six-piece portion instead of four so it could feed three equally. We were not disappointed as the appetizer came out quickly with the peanut sauce, slices of bread (terrible white bag bread) and a dipping sauce with cucumber and onions. The chicken was tender with nice size pieces and it tasted good to all of us. We each ordered something different for our main course but we all had seafood as the main protein. Each dish was served with a cup of the fluffy white rice. I had a one * curry dish featuring tender shrimp, carrots and snow peas. I love the sauce as it is so good on the plain white rice. Another diner had shrimp with mixed vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage) no hots in a mild brown sauce. The third diner had a spicy two * dish that contained tender scallops and an assortment of vegetables in a light brown sauce. They both liked their meals and showed it by cleaning their plates. The owner/waiter gave us unlimited cups of Thai tea. I'm still counting those tea cups an hour after the meal. Of course there were glasses of cold water to help with the "fire in the mouth" condition that sometimes comes with Thai food (it's those HOT peppers). For dessert we tried the Thai rice pudding which is served hot in small cups. It was okay, nothing special, and it tasted like sweetened cream of wheat. I would not order it again. So to sum up the meal: I would rate it good as it has always been as this is a very consistent restaurant. When I looked around the filled room and saw all the happy diners eating their attractively plated meals and looking happy, I felt we had all shared good food and wonderful service on a cold snowy Saturday night in Baltimore. Note: The plates are not large and yes the prices are a bit high, however, I've eaten in less expensive Thai places and found the food not as tasty or as well-prepared. You have to pay for what you eat if you want good food. This place is not Thai Express Loco.

Edit: First experience was awful and I thought it was utterly mediocre. A year later, I've gone several times and quite like it. Solid food, the thai restaurant equivalent of Ikea decor, and good service.

We'd not been to Thai Landing in several years but decided to order delivery. Every dish we got was HORRIBLE! I would never eat there again! Flavorless and not even resembling real Thai food.

Chicken pad tai was less than average. Very little chicken, just kind of small chunks. Didn't enjoy the taste of the sauce. Very little veg. I won't go back there.

Looking for a restaurant near the Lyric Opera House and stumbled on this gem! All of our dishes were exceptional (Shrimp with curry and veggies, Duck, Tofu with coconut milk - extra spicy and delish!). The owner is also a gem - very accomodating with great service.

If you are considering this restaurant, you should really consider the bad reviews before you decide to eat here. I will not be making a second trip here. I was looking for cheap takeout and decided to try out the chicken pad Thai. I think this place should be named Thai-ish. It's like Thai food but it's just not good. This place is not comparable to nearby Thai restaurants like Stang of Siam and Thai Landing. Its edible, but you will not be satisfied if you have had better tasting Thai food. I also tried the Thai iced tea. Again, it was drinkable, but I was not satisfied. This place is a waste of money. Here's what the food is like. Pan fried rice noodles that are overcooked. Some are hard and crispy. Not in a good way. The chicken breast was dry and overcooked in a similar manner. Besides rice noodles, chicken, and bean sprouts, there are no other pad thai ingredients. In order to add some more flavor to this dish, I added some peanut sauce from whole foods. That helped, but still left something to be desired. If you are making the decision based upon cost, spend more money and eat at a better restaurant. If you are making the decision based on location, travel a few blocks north and go get better food in Mount Vernon. If a friend recommended it, you need to really re-consider that person's taste level. Ultimately, the food leaves something to be desired. That desire is actual Thai food because this place is below average.

Food - 4+ stars... Service - 2 stars for one simple little trick they pulled... Decided to split the bill of $43.85 into $25 cash and the rest credit. When they returned with my credit slip it was for $23.85.... So I thought I must have seen the bill wrong and it was $5 more than I thought... Well I deliberated in my head for several minutes, clearly confused, but no interaction from the server. So finally, I caved and tipped 8.00 and just thought to myself that it was weird. Then, no sooner than I had tipped out, the server appeared and picked up my slip, THEN said "I split the bill between cash and credit and tipped out with some of the cash..." WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO SAY THAT WHEN YOU HANDED ME THE CREDIT SLIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, this bothered me. It has grown to a near infuriating feeling that, admittedly is only a couple bucks, but is a TERRIBLE PRACTICE! Otherwise, the food was tasty. Had Tom Yum Goong soup and Gaeng Dang Chicken, wifey had some Tom Yum Puk soup and a green curry dish.

At first we balked at the price (just over $14 for green curry?!?) but when we got it home and dug in, we realized it was quite possibly the best Thai we had since we lived in San Francisco. I think worth the investment if you're looking for fresh, authentic Thai that is made with care. It had an elegance of flavor and ingredients that you don't get in your average place. We had them "up" the spicy from a 2 (regular) to a 3 on their scale of 4. It was almost too spicy. Increase the spicy level with care. It's pretty pricey, but delicious.

I can't remember how many times I hopped on the JHMI shuttle with my friends to come eat here. It was always a favorite for any occasion, from just one-on-one catch up sessions to large group gatherings. One thing I always remembered was how SPICY they can make their food, which I love. I consider myself something of a spicy food champion (I think there's maybe something wrong with my tongue) and the extra spicy pad see ew here made me weep ("5 stars, please!" I delusionally requested). Now I keep it to around 3-4 if I still want to taste my food. Of course, you can always get it without any spice if you like. Drunken noodles, spring rolls, and the sticky mango dessert were also popular choices. Their Thai iced tea is decent. Portions are decent and reasonable priced (for Baltimore), servers are friendly, and the decor is adorable. Once I forgot my phone here for almost half a day, but when I realized it and my friends called it, a waiter immediately picked up and said they would keep it there for me and stay open a little later so I could go pick it up. This would be kind of amazing anywhere, not to mention in a place like Baltimore. Even without their kindness, I would still strongly recommend Thai Landing by the strength of their food alone. Also, it's conveniently located in Mt. Vernon and is next to a lot of other cute dessert stores/bakeries if you feel like exploring for ice cream. I know some people say Thai Restaurant is better, but I prefer Thai Landing. It won't be the most amazing Thai food you'll ever have in your life, or the cheapest, but it's solidly delicious and always a great choice.

I have come here a few times and have ordered the pet chu chee (duck and veggies in coconut curry with white rice). The dish is always as perfect as the last time. For dessert, I usually order sticky rice with mango when in season. Service is always friendly and quick. The only reason for the four stars is I think the price could be a little cheaper, but then again, I guess duck should be a little more expensive. After seeing the pics from other reviewers, I think I will try the Pad Thai next time.

Love this place and the staff but received really bad food poisoning on one visit in 2008. Oddly I had just come back from Thailand where I ate tons of questionable food and survived without a problem.

Awful awful. Ordered delivery. First time from Thai Landing. Pad Thai was $13 for poorly cooked noodles mashed together with 4 shrimp (shrimp at least were cooked ok). Fried spring rolls were blah. Tiny, greasy and in watery sweet sauce. Very overpriced for bad food. I'm one and done with this place.

Hit, hit, hit...the food is good: well seasoned and tasty. The service is amazing, if Charles is your waiter or you get things to go, keeps the drinks coming and the water glass filled. They always have my favorite beverage: Ginger beer Located a few steps away from Penn Station in the Mt Vernon neighborhood. Go especially for the mouth watering, Mango Sticky rice (You get more if you take it TO GO). I ate in and went through the menu from appetizer to dessert. Then, I returned and got dessert. Yes, it's a bit pricey but the food is good regardless of serving size. Appetizers: Dumplings & Spring Roll (very good)

I'm super disappointed ... I just moved back here and the reviews of this place were so great ... Ughhhh... I ordered Chicken Pad Thai. I picked it up and took it back to my apartment (two blocks). When I opened the contailer I was a bit worried. It didn't smell like anything. I tossed some into a bowl and the noodles were all stuck together. Eating it was a whole other experience. It tasted like nothing, the egg and tofu were rubbery and the noodles just congeled. I was so upset that I took it back ( In the pouring rain) ... I was met with four woman. Three argued with me that it took me took me too long to eat, they kept insisting they'd make me another order, and all I kept saying was, "No thanks I'd like my money back." ...seriously one woman said it was impossible and that I let it sit too long. Finally one of the ladies intervened and said she'd give me my money back if that's what I wanted! I might give them one more try ... we all have bad days .... but ughhhh!

Ordered delivery - it took over an hour to arrive and, when it did, the food was mediocre at best.

Food tastes good, but as other have said they are skimpy here and there for the price. Four tiny egg rolls for $6.50? And the rice is a small scoop. Of you want to make two meals out of your entree you need to order extra. The thing that literally burned me up was that my husband ordered extra spicy curry and I ordered mild shrimp pad Thai (there are only four shrimp). Of course his came mild and mine was so hot it was inedible. I even tried to salvage it by picking out the flakes and seeds to no avail. For $75 worth of take out there should be NO excuse for not getting it right. You are reading off of a computer printout, not mishearing someone. I called in and the woman who answered asked me to hold while she talked to the kitchen. Then she tried to say mild is one star hot. Yes, I KNOW. This is not one star hot it is inedibly hot. She said she would refund me for the entree and talk to the kitchen guy. Yes, talk to him and tell him if he can't get it right he should pay the $13. It's not fast food.

Oddly meat-centric for Thai. The menu is limited for those of us that don't eat seafood or meat. Ordered take out with the roomie, and grabbed it with my flashers on sitting in a truck loading zone... I had the green curry - and I asked for it to be spicier than it typically is. They have a key for spice on their menu, and knowing I enjoy hotter food, I opted to have it made to 3-4 stars (1-4 scale). That made it pleasantly hot. It's a watery curry; I'm not alone in that observation, it seems. I hadn't ever seen cauliflower in Thai curry but it was yummy. Not a lot of tofu. Just alright, really. It's a little on the expensive side for the portion size and a very tiny container of rice. Considering I didn't find the food quality on par with other Thai I've had, I'll opt for cheaper for take out.

I do not know why I havent been here sooner considering that I live right in the area. I went to dinner there on a date, and I must say the food was impressive. It was a rather chilly night so me and my date started with their lemon grass soup, I had the shrimp and my date had the chicken, which were both nicely prepared. For dinner we each tried the Pra King, I had the beef and he of course had the chicken. We also shared their spring rolls which were very light and flaky. The restaurant wasnt packed for a thursday night so that was a plus, which made it more cozy and intimate. I woudl most definitely return to try the other dishes. I am glad that I actually got the chance to finally try this place. Based on the other reviews I found the price to be more moderate to me, I dont know I am used to paying for good food.

Was excited to see a Thai restaurant close to my house as I love Thai food! However, much to my disappointment the pad Thai and fish cakes i ordered were mediocre at best. The pad Thai was bland and the fish cake appetizers tasted like the fish was rancid. My boyfriend ordered red curry chicken and said it was excellent, so maybe Thai Landing is hit or miss with their menu.

We went here on New Year Eve. Lots of people who were waiting for tables. I understood that I had to wait our seat and foods at least 1 hour. I did't believe that the staff seated me and brought out foods very fast. It was impossible but it was possible. The staff was nice and friendly....always poured the water frequently while they were busy. We ordered some appetizers and shared two main courses. We love Spring rolls. For main course, sweet and sour chicken was pretty good. Next time we will order beef stir fried with garlic source that out of order on that day.

I came to this place on a unusually warm night, and the place was rather empty. The staff was extremely nice and the establishment is compact and cute. I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu, and a hot Thai tea. The pad Thai was tasty, but it wasn't anything to write home about. I will say this--- if I am in the area, I will stop again to eat there, but I am not making any special trips.

I feel so bad giving this place 2 stars because the people who own the restaurant are so friendly. As I do at every Thai restaurant, I ordered the pad Thai. But it came out as a clumped mess - plus it didn't have the requisite lime and I'm pretty sure it didn't have a fried egg. My wife had a beef dish which was mediocre at best. If the total bill came out to $20 with tax and tip, I would have been fine, but the total was nearly $40. Oh well, I guess my quest for really good Thai in Baltimore continues.

this is one of my favorite... no this IS my favorite Thai Restaurant I have ever been to. I travel a lot and still have yet to find one as good in any other state. It is actually the top of my list of all Baltimore restaurants. Parking can be a pain (I have a large vehicle), so I usually try to go on weeknights when it's less crowded on Charles Street. You must have the sticky rice and mango for desert. My wife is a vegetarian, so it was good to see that they recently added a special vegetarian menu.

Quite possibly the best Thai food I've ever had. I first tasted drunken noodles here and now notice that it might not be prepared in the most traditional manner here. However, it is extremely tasty and is by far my favorite dish EVER (i.e. I could live on a deserted island off of this dish alone). It is spicy so I recommend a sweet Thai iced tea with your meal if you order this! All dishes are probably a few dollars more than most, but the flavors that each dish generates are well worth it. I've had a number of all the appetizers on the menu and they each have characteristics that make them distinct and unique. Extremely fresh ingredients used. At most Thai restaurants I've gone to, the dishes come out either too greasy (like take-out) or dumped in sauce (most curries). Thai Landing might offer more of a contemporary take on Thai cuisine, and therefore not the most traditional option. However, in my opinion, it's the best of all that I've been to (Tara Thai (Bethesda), Sala Thai (Bethesda), a few in NJ, etc.). I also recommend the pad thai with chicken, shrimp, and tofu. Very clean tasting. Mango with sticky rice is a great dessert to end the meal. As mentioned above, the only real con I can mention is the price, but the pros heavily outweigh this enough for Thai Landing to still warrant a 5/5.

Ask for Charlie - he is the best waiter in the place. When you order, watch him carefully - if he hesitates to write down what you want, go with your second choice... he knows what is fresh and best day to day. The food is authentic, the portions are slightly larger than average, but not huge. Hot means hot - but the spice compliments the flavor and if you want they are happy to adjust to your level of heat. The best appetizer, IMO, is the rare beef and lettuce. (YUM NAHM THOK) It's a solid 3 on the heat scale, and absolutely worth trying. If you're new to Thai food, try the pedestrian pad thai, it's tasty and not a bit hot. If you're feeling adventurous, they have a basil chicken dish that has a hint of black licorice taste from the basil. (GAI PAD KRA-PRAO) that my wife is very fond of ordering. I'm working on trying everything on the entree menu at least once. Thai Landing is my destination for special occasions. It's easy to spend a hundred dollars for two dinners with wine and some sticky rice for dessert so it's not like we can go every day.

This is a great place to go if you're craving some curry! It wasn't the best Thai food I've ever had but it was certainly delicious! And not only that, but they have a whole menu that clearly shows all of their vegetarian options, which was very helpful. I got a green curry dish with vegetarian duck which I was very happy with. Spicy, but I wasn't crying. And don't forget to get some sticky rice with fresh mango! I will gladly return for more.

Great experience. I will be back. My coworker was always talking about this place since he previously worked in the area. I had never been and wanted to try it since I like Thai Food. They did not dissapoint. Service was great and food came out in a timely manner. Thai Basil Chicken was the dish I wanted to try. I usually go for pad thai or thai basil chicken and my coworker only gets the thai basil chicken. Their version of thai basil chicken with rice was great. It had the right amount of spice but could do with more rice.

Came here on New Years Eve, and the staff was completely overwhelmed. They were really trying, but you could tell that it just wasn't working. The restaurant needs to wise up and have more waiters working on busy nights. The food was okay. I had pad thai with chicken. It was bland and kinda dry. It also had some sizeable hunks of tofu slip into the dish, which was okay, but made me wonder if chicken is going into the tofu dishes. Anyway, I wouldn't get the pad thai again. My companion got chicken fried rice. SO GOOD. I never get fried rice, because, really, how good can it be? Really good, apparently. There were just layers of flavor that I was not expecting. Good portion size, although $13 for fried rice is a bit pricey. There was a good amount of various kinds of veggies in with the rice- snow peas, tomatoes, cauliflower, regular peas... probably a few more. It wasn't just a pack of frozen mixed veggies thrown in with the rice. Good for them for going above and beyond. The thai iced tea was really good, although, kind of skimpy. It seems like thai places are always stingy with the thai iced tea--not sure what that's about. Had a tanqueray and tonic, which was good although again, small, for the $7 price tag. I would go back, but not get the pad thai.

I came here for a friend's birthday, I think we were about 7 people total. The service was great, the people who run this are friendly and attentive. The food was all kinds of blahhh. I had the green vege curry, and it was strangely watery and thin and not all that flavorful. The vegetables floating in it were kind of bland and very few in number. Everyone else in my group got pad thai. Pad thai is kind of a staple for thai restaurants, but I think they said it was okay. I haven't had good thai food in baltimore yet.....................

It tastes good, but where are my leftovers?! I must be spoiled by every other Thai place I've ever eaten at. The portions at this place are small. So, I don't think I'll be enjoying any mid-afternoon food coma to distract me from getting my work done :-( I think I'll lick my plate just to get my money's worth-my lovely panang was $9.50 plus tip for something the size of a lean cuisine entree.

I went here with my wife and a friend of mine and completely enjoyed the experience! The food was fresh and delicious, the owner frequently came by and ensured we were happy with everything. He was actually quite an entertaining fellow, sanguine, cheerful, full of smiles, and a bit of a joker. Our water glasses were filled without prompting with hawk-like surveillance and cat-like speed! I would definitely come back, great experience.

This place is so cozy! When you walk it, it's screams intimacy. Take a friend here to catch up before leaving town. It was so hard to choose but everything looked great. I had the red snapper with red curry and it was perfectly cooked. The portions can serve two if you order extra rice. This restaurant isn't wheelchair accessible.

The place is pretty compact so we had to wait about 30 mins to be seated (Sat. night) but the food is tasty and the service is efficient. I tried the Gaeng Keow Whan (green curry) with chicken...good amount of heat and lots of flavor. For about $14, I would have liked a little bit more in terms of portion size (it's always nice to have some to take home, but I was able to wolf through this dish easily). Fiance had the pad woon-sen which was really good, especially the bean thread noodles. While it wasn't the best Thai we've had, it was definitely satisfying I'm looking forward to returning to try some of the other options.
I was really impressed with this place, and given some of the other reviews, I didn't necessarily expect to be. I came here with my mom and boyfriend, and everything we ordered was really great. It started with the spring rolls, which were better than I had anticipated and was a little sad I was sharing them with two other people. My mom ordered a scallop dish which she all but licked the plate of. My boyfriend loved his chicken pad thai. But I think the best dish was mine... their special of the evening was Massaman curry, which is hands down my favorite curry, so there wasn't really a question of what I was going to order. I got the lamb version, and it was by far the best Massaman curry I've ever had. I'm eating it as leftovers as I write this, and it's just as good reheated as it was last night. The owner, who was our attentive waiter and incredibly sweet, told us that if there was enough demand for it that it will become a regular item on their menu. Honestly, I'd be willing to go back a handful of times to try and ensure that! And for the nitty gritty stuff, I think for Baltimore it might have been a little pricier than your average Asian restaurant, but the portions were generous and the quality was fantastic. I really had such a great experience here, we'll definitely be making this a regular spot.

That's my FAVORITE place for Thai food. We try to go there once a month or for special occasions,it is a little on the expensive side but for getting great tasting food i don't care paying a little more once in a while, well my husband doesn't :) You have to try the appetizer THUNG TONG - really good.My entree is always Chicken PANANG 1*(don't like it too hot) i love the coconut milk in it-delicious! Dessert ,try the STICKY RICE AND MANGO very yummy! Parking really sucks- sometimes takes us over 15min to find a spot.

Yum. Drunken Noodles, Thom Kha Gai! (funny, yelp would accept just the above writing as it says it only accepts reviews in english. Let me try to type a bunch of proper English terms and see if they can cancel out my broken english/Thai dish typing) Very tasty. Noodles that are drunk and a soup with stuff in it. Yeah!

Like several other reviewers on here, I really wanted to love Thai Landing. Location was awesome for us, the atmosphere and service were nice. However the food was just fair to not so good, especially in light of their prices. Portion sizes were very skimpy. Food did not taste fresh and lacked the correct balance for Thai food. Also, the food did not have ANY heat, which was disappointing as I expect Thai food to be spicy. If this is the best Thai that Baltimore has to offer, I will be holding out for a visit to DC or some other major city.

What's the deal with thai food in Bmore? Was I spoiled in the PNwest? While we weren't blown away, Thai Landing did have some positive points: the pad thai was the best we've had since we moved here (but that isn't sayin' much!) Be prepared, my mouth was on fire. I only ordered a 1 for heat and hubbers ordered a 2. 1=Yowsa, 2= Holy Jesus. Serious authenticity, methinks. The portion sizes were okay, maybe a tad small, but we fat americans are so used to supersizes... The wine and beer selection is super weak, but our server was a champion at pouring our water- very attentive service all around. The orange walls and thai artwork are fun, but the place is quiet...too quiet. Like hear a pin drop. They don't offer chopsticks either (back to authenticity again?) which I was kind of bummed about, and I missed the limes that I'm used to getting with pad thai. But all in all, not a terrible experience and I'll probably be going back. For a beer, soda, order of spring rolls, and 2 pad-thais we got out of there at $40- not too shabby.

Bland. Tofu red curry tasted more like water with some pepper flakes rather than a thick, spicy blanket covering your mouth and your esophagus. Pad Thai was more so sweet than having a distinct flavor. On the expensive side of Thai food. I'm assuming it's the case because of the Mt. Vernon location. Still in search of a great Thai place in B'more.

Excellent food, attentive service, clean and classy, great location: this restaurant is a winner. Family operated, Thai Landing features authentic, tasty food with real hot spice (when called for), something usually missing in Baltimore's ethnic food offerings. All dishes can be spiced up or down. Portions are generous. Beer and wine selection, while limited, are of good quality. The rare beef salad appetizer is very good- though sometimes served with hotter spice than the 3 stars listed on the menu. A half dozen soups include both broth and coconut bases. The curries very well prepared and the entree selection is terrific. I'm partial to the drunken noodles- sometimes also served too spicy (and I'm no wallflower when it comes to heat!) and with too few noodles, but still a nice, filling and tasty dish. The location is very convenient to the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, Theatre Project and other cultural institutions in Midtown and Mt. Vernon. Don't let the streetscape construction that is dragging on too long discourage you from checking out this Thai gem.

Horrible. We had the veggie pad thai and the veggie green curry - both were mediocre at best. The green curry was bland and watery, and the few veggies it did have were cheap and undercooked. The pad thai was bland and stale. Maybe their meat dishes are considerably better to warrant the many good reviews? Maybe if the food wasn't overpriced I would have lower expectations? Regardless, I'll never go there again.

My fiance lives in Mt Vernon and I visit frequently from the DC area. One day we decided to order take out from Thai Landing. The food was really good. So we decided to go and eat there. Well I was less than impressed with the place. The service was terrible. The wait staff was not hostile and seemed nice but they were extremely inattentive. We waited an inordinate long time to get our orders taken, even though it's a small place and we could see the staff just congregating and talking. Once we got our food they never came by to ask for refreshment refills. When I asked for a refill on my coke, I was told that that would be an additional charge. We waited forever for the waiter to come back so we could pay and get out of that place. The food was okay. Service terrible. I would not go back there again. I probably wouldn't order out from there either.

Thai Landing was very first experience eating Thai food. That was back in 1996...though I've moved around a bit over the years, I've made a point to hit Thai Landing anytime I'm in Baltimore- and it's just as good as ever. Seriously, I can't say enough about this place. I would be content with this being the only Thai food I've ever eaten, because everything else pales in comparison. I always start out with their spring rolls- couldn't tell you what makes them so special, but they are delicious. For my entree, I always order Kapow with chicken. They ask you to tell them how spicy you'd like it, on a scale of 1-10. I usually request a 7 or an 8- and as another reviewer indicated, they definitely love the spice factor, so keep that in mind while ordering. For dessert I order the mango with sticky rice. Again, very typical Thai dish, but something about the way they prepare it makes it amazing. Enough gushing for now, though I could go on all night. Enjoy!

There really is a dearth of good thai places in Baltimore. The best place i've been is in Columbia(i'll withhold the title because if you are a foodie, you know which restaurant i'm talking about) and there's a lot of great places in Northern Virginia. That being said, if there's one place I will go for thai food, it's Thai Landing. It's situated in Mt. Vernon and the unassuming exterior makes way for a beautiful, quaint interior. Going on a Friday night, we were seated among all older, classy couples(50+ yrs old). This means a few things. One, yes it'll be a bit more expensive than the type of thai prices you may be used to(especially as it compares to Banthai and Thairish or Mythai), but the food is definitely better than those three. The portions are also small, but i've found it more pleasant to eat good food, and be left satisfied, yet with enough room that can easily be filled with a cup of good coffee somewhere nearby. I had a roasted duck dish, where the sauce was similar to Panang curry. My friend had the Drunken Noodles. One word of advice, if you ask for 3 stars(they do 1, 2, or 3 with 3 being the spiciest), be prepared for spicy. I'm used to spicy food but here, they definitely mean SPICY. Service was attentive and friendly. The lights were a bit low but i'm assuming that was part of what they were going for. Overall, if I were to recommend a Thai place, i'd look outside Baltimore, but if time and distance was a factor, this is the only place i'd recommend in Baltimore.

If you want the best thai food this is not the place. I've had much better comparatively. But they have excellently fast service and a nice atmosphere. Their prices are a little high for the quality, but its satisfying.

Fantabulous Thai! Tends to run on the spicy side, so order a star-step down from the heat level you usually choose at Thai places - I like spicy, but I still want to taste the food! The older gentleman is the waiter to get - he knows the food well and always makes the best sggestions from their specials. One of the best Thai options in B-more.

In Mt. Vernon there are 3 thai restaurants that I have frequented and like superheros, each has it's own strength. Thairish is cheap and rather delicious for the money. Banthai has a huge menu and authentic family owned feel and taste. Thai Landing is fancy and refined. It's a bit expensive for the type of food they serve, but the service is top notch, the dishes exquisite, and the atmosphere very pleasant. If you have a special occasion and are craving Thai food, this is the best option. If you want cheaper and simpler then travel a few blocks on N. Charles St. toward downtown.

Really liked this place. I have had trouble finding good Asian food in this area - and I think I have solved my problem. The staff is very friendly and the food is wonderful. The menu is very extensive - with good explanations of the dishes. I would recommend this place whole-heartedly!

Delicious Thai food and reasonable prices. Their lunch special is among the best buys in Mount Vernon. Friendly staff, good food, and reasonable prices. How much better can you get?

They rock!

I have ordered from Thai Landing twice now. I want to like it because they offer some tasty wings. That said, all of the entrees have been decidedly not good - weird ingredients, overspiced, and overcooked. Sad...I really wanted to like this place.

This is our favorite restaurant in Baltimore. Everything great which we got once on an adventurous dinner. The green curry dishes and pad thai noodles are all great. i like the chicken satay appetizers. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend trying My Thai.

I LOVE AUTHENTIC THAI! And I can truly say Thai Landing is pretty authentic. My best friend is Thai and the cooking here is just like how her mom cooks back at home. I love the owners too! They are always welcoming and they have a new menu system for lunch. For about $10 you get an appetizer and an entree. I always get 3-5 star spicy! And their dishes go far beyond Pad Thai... in fact I pretty much eat everything on this menu. Of course you have to let the waitress know how much spice you want. If you can't handle the heat then go for 1-2 but if you want really spicy to make your eyes water 5-6 stars is your deal! If it gets too spicy get some thai tea it will cool you down, I PROMISE :}

The food took over two hours for it to be delivered and they demanded tip. They wouldn't give me my food until they received tip and had a very rude attitude. The food was alright, but I would not go again. I definitely prefer Stang of Siam over this place!!

I love Thai Landing. The food is always perfect. I love that they have a vegetarian section on the menu and the assurance that food can be made fish-sauce free. Service is uneven but always pleasant. The galangal soup is especially good!

Edit: First experience was awful and I thought it was utterly mediocre. A year later, I've gone several times and quite like it. Solid food, the thai restaurant equivalent of Ikea decor, and good service.

Had Tom Yum Goong soup and Gaeng Dang Chicken, wifey had some Tom Yum Puk soup and a green curry dish.

this is one of my favorite... no this IS my favorite Thai Restaurant I have ever been to.

Looking for a restaurant near the Lyric Opera House and stumbled on this gem! All of our dishes were exceptional (Shrimp with curry and veggies, Duck, Tofu with coconut milk - extra spicy and delish!). The owner is also a gem - very accomodating with great service.

I might give them one more try ... we all have bad days .... but ughhhh!

Chicken pad tai was less than average. Very little chicken, just kind of small chunks. Didn't enjoy the taste of the sauce. Very little veg. I won't go back there.

Limited menu. WAY over priced with small portions. I'd rather go to Ban Thai down the street.

Insanely over priced beef salad nine dollars for a tiny dish of iceberg lettuce no sauce and a little beef. Will never return.

Yeah!

Five stars.
(5)Spandana M.

(5)Quin A.

(4)Nannette F.
(4)Emily K.
This place is okay. The food is just okay but the prices are a little expensive. But I find that every thai restaurant is somewhat overpriced. That just seems to be normal for them. Ordered tom yum gai soup and pad ka prao chicken, my usuals, and they were okay but not great
(3)Ariel N.
(5)Erica M.
(2)Alexandros A.
Very authentic Thai cuisine. I am always satisfied with every dish I order. The Thai iced tea is especially good! Great service. The food always comes very fast.
(5)Ryan G.
Delicious Thai food and reasonable prices. Their lunch special is among the best buys in Mount Vernon. Friendly staff, good food, and reasonable prices. How much better can you get?
(4)Brian S.
(4)Patty G.
Solid thai food and very friendly service. The restaurant is tiny, so I've only gotten takeout here.
(4)Camille A.
I be coming back
(5)Melissa B.

(1)Annemarie P.
Agree with other reviews - expensive for the quality. Have received half frozen apps before as well as have waited over an hour and a half for delivery. Food used to be a lot better, recently always leaves me disappointed. Even worse because it's so close!

This review is for lunch only: Came here today around 1pm and was quite shocked at how good it was. It's been years since I've eaten at Thai Landing... so long that it was before I even had a YELP account. I always thought the food was okay but nothing special. I've been supporting Stang of Siam from the day it opened because I always felt that it was superior. But now, I must say that the lunch here was just as delicious as Stang... maybe even better! I ordered the mushroom/chicken galang soup... creamy coconut milk based soup with a little heat and tender chicken and mushrooms. A simple soup, but one that was PACKED with flavor. For my lunch entrée I ordered M1 (not attempting to pronounce the name) and my buddy ordered the M9 (diced chicken with string beans and carrots). My meal consisted of beef, broccoli, carrots and a light brown garlic sauce. Both entrées were served with a heaping portion of rice and were perfect in size. For $9/$10 this was a GREAT lunch deal. I also really like the fact that you can pick your appetizer from a list of about a dozen different options, and then pick your lunch options from about 20 different options. I think I prefer this kind of setup to Stang where each meal comes with an automatic salad and spring roll. You can't choose your app. like you can here. My one issue with Thai landing is that the place could use an update as far as the interior is concerned. The restaurant is located in a prime spot and has 2 levels. It has such potential. Unfortunately, the inside is VERY dated.. kind of reminds me of what my grandma's house would look like if she were a Thai woman. Our server was very friendly and professional, so no complaints there either. I'll be back for sure very soon!!
(4)Aaron B.
(4)Kaitlin J.
(5)Tom V.
(3)Gabby M.
(4)Jesse S.
Excellent and unique thai. Delicious. Get the Gai pad kra-prao!! Amazing. Great service. The food is super authentic because this place is run by a few thai ladies who cook for their families from real thai recipes.
(5)nicole c.

(3)Moon W.

(5)Reed B.
Delivery took 2 hours +. Granted it was pride weekend, but 2 hrs is ample time to get from the restaurant to hampden. Really disappointing because the food is good.
(2)Jack D.
This is our favorite restaurant in Baltimore. Everything great which we got once on an adventurous dinner. The green curry dishes and pad thai noodles are all great. i like the chicken satay appetizers. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend trying My Thai.
(4)Elisa G.
(2)Allie P.

I LOVE AUTHENTIC THAI! And I can truly say Thai Landing is pretty authentic. My best friend is Thai and the cooking here is just like how her mom cooks back at home. I love the owners too! They are always welcoming and they have a new menu system for lunch. For about $10 you get an appetizer and an entree. I always get 3-5 star spicy! And their dishes go far beyond Pad Thai... in fact I pretty much eat everything on this menu. Of course you have to let the waitress know how much spice you want. If you can't handle the heat then go for 1-2 but if you want really spicy to make your eyes water 5-6 stars is your deal! If it gets too spicy get some thai tea it will cool you down, I PROMISE :}
(5)Michelle H.
(1)Amy K.
The food took over two hours for it to be delivered and they demanded tip. They wouldn't give me my food until they received tip and had a very rude attitude. The food was alright, but I would not go again. I definitely prefer Stang of Siam over this place!!
(1)Sara O.
(4)C S.

(4)J. M.
Edit: First experience was awful and I thought it was utterly mediocre. A year later, I've gone several times and quite like it. Solid food, the thai restaurant equivalent of Ikea decor, and good service.
(4)Helen S.
We'd not been to Thai Landing in several years but decided to order delivery. Every dish we got was HORRIBLE! I would never eat there again! Flavorless and not even resembling real Thai food.
(1)Justin A.
Chicken pad tai was less than average. Very little chicken, just kind of small chunks. Didn't enjoy the taste of the sauce. Very little veg. I won't go back there.
(2)Tigerlilly R.

Casual fun place with great Thai food! Excellent service. The crispy spring rolls were delicious as was the Pad Thai. Food was so good we brought the menu home with us for future take out! Enjoy!!
(4)Holly N.

(4)Sean E.
(4)Kamau M.
Love this place and the staff but received really bad food poisoning on one visit in 2008. Oddly I had just come back from Thailand where I ate tons of questionable food and survived without a problem.
(1)Manda G.
(1)Latanya J.

I might give them one more try ... we all have bad days .... but ughhhh!
(1)Lisa W.
Ordered delivery - it took over an hour to arrive and, when it did, the food was mediocre at best.
(2)City G.
(3)Vickie S.

(5)Laura V.
(2)Nancy M.
(4)Taheerah B.
(3)Dave A.
(2)Chris R.
this is one of my favorite... no this IS my favorite Thai Restaurant I have ever been to.

(2)Rose B.
Limited menu. WAY over priced with small portions. I'd rather go to Ban Thai down the street.
(1)Nancy J.
(3)Peter M.
(5)I Wen W.
Great food, great service. Try Pad Thai and spring rolls! Lunch has a good deal!
(5)Zachari C.
(3)Sly C.
Pretty spicy. Yet Found iceberg lettuce in my Pad kee mao. Really?
(3)sarah b.
Pad thai is bland, just a hint of fish sauce. Thhai tea is really good tho.
(2)Trevor B.
(3)Panda B.
I had the Thung Tong for appetizer, the Panang for entrée and the sticky rice with mango for dessert. Basically, I had a party in my mouth for 2 hours. This place was a delight. It is small enough to have this homey, cozy feeling, but large enough to entertain a party. The menu is riddled with wide selections extending from vegetarian to squid to noodles to rice to bamboo shoots. Portion sizes are just right, and flavors are smooth and refined without being pretentious. I will be retuning soon, so you should check it out too.

(5)Liz W.
Food and ambiance are okay. Good-sized restaurant, plenty of seats available. Happy with the staff; friendly and warm.
(3)Mantong Z.
This is just a OK thai food restaurant. Nothing special but worth to go
(3)Ulrike R.
(5)Ryan G.
Yeah!
(4)Nick U.
Good service, but I've had better pad Thai. I also expected to get a little more food for the price...
(2)Jayson H.
(1)Annie M.
(3)J C.
(2)Raymond L.

This is one of my favorite places in Baltimore. It is so cozy! The staff are nice. I am craving a Thai Tea right now!
(5)Anabel T.

Went here with high expectations. I had to send my fish back. I could not cut it since it was "rubbery" They tried to seat us upstairs, but after our request we were downstairs. The stairs were steep.

(4)Sarah S.
If you want the best thai food this is not the place. I've had much better comparatively. But they have excellently fast service and a nice atmosphere. Their prices are a little high for the quality, but its satisfying.
(2)Kathryn E.
(5)romych M.
(4)SavvyTraveler H.
Really liked this place. I have had trouble finding good Asian food in this area - and I think I have solved my problem. The staff is very friendly and the food is wonderful. The menu is very extensive - with good explanations of the dishes. I would recommend this place whole-heartedly!
(4)Tonk H.
Five stars.
(5)Spandana M.
(4)Adele T.
(5)Lauren S.

(5)Quin A.
I had their vegetarian curry with peanut sauce and rice. Food was tasty. I was with a group of friends giving a farewell dinner to a friend. The place is cute and cosy so it was a good choice for the occasion.
(3)Kirk S.
(4)Nannette F.
(4)Emily K.
This place is okay. The food is just okay but the prices are a little expensive. But I find that every thai restaurant is somewhat overpriced. That just seems to be normal for them. Ordered tom yum gai soup and pad ka prao chicken, my usuals, and they were okay but not great
(3)Ariel N.
(5)Erica M.
(2)Alexandros A.
Very authentic Thai cuisine. I am always satisfied with every dish I order. The Thai iced tea is especially good! Great service. The food always comes very fast.
(5)Melissa B.
(2)Ryan G.
Delicious Thai food and reasonable prices. Their lunch special is among the best buys in Mount Vernon. Friendly staff, good food, and reasonable prices. How much better can you get?
(4)Cyndi K.
They rock!
(5)Virginia Y.
(4)Brian S.
(4)Patty G.
Solid thai food and very friendly service. The restaurant is tiny, so I've only gotten takeout here.
(4)J C.
(1)Camille A.
I be coming back
(5)Jeremy L.

(4)Doug S.

(4)Kaitlin J.

(3)Gabby M.
(4)Jesse S.
Excellent and unique thai. Delicious. Get the Gai pad kra-prao!! Amazing. Great service. The food is super authentic because this place is run by a few thai ladies who cook for their families from real thai recipes.
(5)Jay L.

I have ordered from Thai Landing twice now. I want to like it because they offer some tasty wings. That said, all of the entrees have been decidedly not good - weird ingredients, overspiced, and overcooked. Sad...I really wanted to like this place.

(4)Allie P.
(4)Elisa G.

I LOVE AUTHENTIC THAI! And I can truly say Thai Landing is pretty authentic. My best friend is Thai and the cooking here is just like how her mom cooks back at home. I love the owners too! They are always welcoming and they have a new menu system for lunch. For about $10 you get an appetizer and an entree. I always get 3-5 star spicy! And their dishes go far beyond Pad Thai... in fact I pretty much eat everything on this menu. Of course you have to let the waitress know how much spice you want. If you can't handle the heat then go for 1-2 but if you want really spicy to make your eyes water 5-6 stars is your deal! If it gets too spicy get some thai tea it will cool you down, I PROMISE :}
(5)Michelle H.

(4)Amy K.
The food took over two hours for it to be delivered and they demanded tip. They wouldn't give me my food until they received tip and had a very rude attitude. The food was alright, but I would not go again. I definitely prefer Stang of Siam over this place!!
(1)Latanya J.

(4)C S.
I love Thai Landing. The food is always perfect. I love that they have a vegetarian section on the menu and the assurance that food can be made fish-sauce free. Service is uneven but always pleasant. The galangal soup is especially good!
(1)Simone D.

Casual fun place with great Thai food! Excellent service. The crispy spring rolls were delicious as was the Pad Thai. Food was so good we brought the menu home with us for future take out! Enjoy!!

this is one of my favorite... no this IS my favorite Thai Restaurant I have ever been to.

(4)Sean E.
(4)Kamau M.
Love this place and the staff but received really bad food poisoning on one visit in 2008. Oddly I had just come back from Thailand where I ate tons of questionable food and survived without a problem.
(1)Manda G.
(1)Tigerlilly R.
Looking for a restaurant near the Lyric Opera House and stumbled on this gem! All of our dishes were exceptional (Shrimp with curry and veggies, Duck, Tofu with coconut milk - extra spicy and delish!). The owner is also a gem - very accomodating with great service.
(4)Michelle M.
I might give them one more try ... we all have bad days .... but ughhhh!
(1)Lisa W.
Ordered delivery - it took over an hour to arrive and, when it did, the food was mediocre at best.
(2)Vickie S.
(3)City G.

(5)Laura V.
(2)Nancy M.
(4)Dave A.
(2)Taheerah B.
(3)Justin A.
Chicken pad tai was less than average. Very little chicken, just kind of small chunks. Didn't enjoy the taste of the sauce. Very little veg. I won't go back there.
(2)Holly N.
(4)George P.
(5)Tim R.
(4)Rebecca H.

Limited menu. WAY over priced with small portions. I'd rather go to Ban Thai down the street.

Great food, great service. Try Pad Thai and spring rolls! Lunch has a good deal!

Insanely over priced beef salad nine dollars for a tiny dish of iceberg lettuce no sauce and a little beef. Will never return.

Pretty spicy. Yet Found iceberg lettuce in my Pad kee mao. Really?
(3)sarah b.
Pad thai is bland, just a hint of fish sauce. Thhai tea is really good tho.

Food and ambiance are okay. Good-sized restaurant, plenty of seats available. Happy with the staff; friendly and warm.

This is just a OK thai food restaurant. Nothing special but worth to go

Yeah!

Good service, but I've had better pad Thai. I also expected to get a little more food for the price...

(2)Sarah S.
If you want the best thai food this is not the place. I've had much better comparatively. But they have excellently fast service and a nice atmosphere. Their prices are a little high for the quality, but its satisfying.
(2)Kathryn E.

This is one of my favorite places in Baltimore. It is so cozy! The staff are nice. I am craving a Thai Tea right now!
(5)Anabel T.

Went here with high expectations. I had to send my fish back. I could not cut it since it was "rubbery" They tried to seat us upstairs, but after our request we were downstairs. The stairs were steep.
