Went here for a Girls Nite and I do believe I will be back. The host and waiter (HI TEDDY!!) were both super sweet and helpful. Very nice ambiance if you want to be out with your significant other or maybe catch up with old friends. We started the meal off with an order of calamari and crab bisque. The calamari was a little heavy on the salt, but still pretty tasty. But that crab bisque was heavenly and definitely needed with the cold weather lately. We both order the special which was seared salmon over lemony risotto. That happened to be under-seasoned, but again, pretty darn tasty. Couldn't give this all 5 stars because both of our fillets were slightly raw in the center. No bueno Other than that, everything was cool. Got the ricotta cheesecake to go but it wasn't anything special. I wanna try the pizzas next time!

I didn't enjoy my dinner in this restaurant. I expected to from the reviews but my experience was really dismal. The initial waitress was grumpy...she was having some disagreement with another worker when we walked in and we accidentally got another waitress who was quite pleasant but didn't know anything about the menu. The food wasn't good either...really don't understand previous high ratings. I won't return.

Me and my girlfriend had Scoozi for dinner. Since we were staying in the hotel we wanted to try the restaurant downstairs. We started off with the Calamari which was good, and a surprisingly large portion. She had the Maryland Crab Soup and I had the perfect pizza. She commented on how it was more soup then she was used to and that it was good and very creamy. She mentioned it could almost be a sauce for a pasta type dish. My pizza was very good and and a good sized personal pizza. Overall we enjoyed the food although it was a bit pricey. The service wasn't terrible but it felt like we were forgotten about a few times and our waiter wasn't sure when to bring my pizza even though her soup had been served. Probably would eat there again for convenience but it's worth taking a trip somewhere else if you're up for it.

Scoozi Restaurant. Have had business lunches for 2 & 3 there several times recently. The service runs anywhere from adequate to spotty to not worth a 5% tip. I grew up in the restaurant business and can identify the difference between a slow kitchen, and poor service. Most recently, it was both. Food consistently a B to B+ with average hotel prices. They may have a captive audience from the hotel guests, but those of us who are local know close by places with much better service, food, and speed from the kitchen for comparable prices.

Had a very pleasant lunch here outdoors. The salads are substantial, and even the simplest sandwich is done with much care and good flavor. Prices are what you'd expect for Cross Keys, but this is definitely one of my favorite places to eat when around this area. This is really a step or two above your average hotel restaurant.

Wonderful menu of European style fare, tastily seasoned with generous portions and a friendly wait staff. The bread pudding I'd to die for!

The service was fair , the food was mediocre at best....room was drafty, menu very limited. I ordered a wedge salad wi blue cheese, cMe with no cheese. Husband ordered a strip steak that was tough and came with burned asparagus,np frites per menu description... Very disappointed for the price

As far as hotel restaurants go, Scoozi is one of the better ones I've tried. The service was very good, and the wood fired pizza I had was really delicious. The chef makes each pizza fresh to order, and all of the ingredients were clean, simple, and delicious. The sauce had a hint of sweetness, which was really pleasant with the fresh mozzarella and basil on my margherita pizza. I also ordered a caesar salad, and it was surprising and tasty. The crunch of sunflower seeds was a nice addition, and the dressing was nice and light, and the lettuce was crunchy and fresh. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised. The wine list was a bit of a downer, but that is probably to be expected. My husband found a decent Malbec, and seemed happy enough. We were in the mood for a light meal, so we didn't order to dessert, but the couple next to us did and everything looked very good. I stopped by for breakfast while my husband was at a meeting, and my pancakes and crispy bacon were very good. They also have a nice hot tea selection as well. Really, you can't ask for much more in a hotel restaurant.

Great fresh flavors and reasonable prices; lively and friendly service that could use more training. An expansive and well chosen wine list. Papperdelle with asparagus and smoked chicken was pleasing; rocket salad with pinenuts in a citrus dressing was sparky. Bread pudding was good, and the caramel sauce, unusually, was real caramel with cream. Worth going back to

We shared the swordfish and NY strip steak and enjoyed them both equally. One salad, two entrees, two sodas = $54.

This is fast becoming one of my favorite places. A major bonus is the outdoor seating area. The service is attentive, and the food is fresh and good. I've had dinner here several times (always pizza), and they are dependably delicious. Their fried calamari is great, and the cheese and salumi platter is nice to pair with drinks or wine. One evening my companion had the chicken Milanese and enjoyed it very much. I think their wine list is just right, and is priced to encourage bottle purchases. What's not to like?

Scoozi gets better and better every time we go. The calamari and meatball appetizers were delicious. The pine nuts on the caesar salad set it apart, as did the light touch on the dressing. The giardinia pizza was perfect. And Brian, our server, was absolutely on point all night. He anticipated our every need and knew that the apple pie and ice cream was the right way to end the meal. Bravo!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
