We had a great experience here. Our server greeted us by our reservation name within minutes. We ordered the petite filet and the NY strip. Both cooked perfectly. We loved the au gratin potatoes and the lyonnaise potatoes. If you are looking for a classic steakhouse that has great service and excellent food, then this is the place - but it comes with a price. This isn't somewhere we could come all the time, but its a great place for special occasions.

I have been coming here so long they dint even hand me a menu. But if your coming here with a date sit upstairs away from the bar. Stragglers like myself tend to be loud. Chopped Salad with Crab meat is awesome also the lamp chops (butterfly style) is to die for. Drinks are always on point I like Ciroc ( Ciroc Nation YAY!) but there is also Johnny walker Baileys and a Cadre of alcoholic selections

Overall: excellent food, ok service. I've been to the one in Bethesda, the service there is much better. We had a Sunday reservation for 6 pm. The place was relatively empty. For some reason we were seated near the bar. It would have been ok, except the staff was watching football and would cheer every now and then. Not something you would expect at a high end steakhouse. The crab and sweet corn chowder was delicious. I devoured every last drop. My husband enjoyed oysters, which were fresh. The porterhouse for two was more than enough for the two of us. Our server managed to remain professional, so I give four stars. The only strange thing is when he told us the specials, he told us how much each special cost. Not to sound snobby, but that's something that should be saved for Outback, not Ruth Chris.

With all my calorie counting I've neglected the finer cravings on my days off dieting with comfort food. But not today. I met two friends at Ruth's Chris steak house today for a 4 o'clock dinner. This is my first time at the power plant location. I like the valet parking but didn't expect to pay for it. I don't ever remember paying at the Eastern Ave location. Anyway, it's convenient and the valet guys are pro's. We were walk ins and figured getting a table wouldn't be a problem and were seated immediately after a friendly hello from the manager. The decor is fancy enough for a special occasion but also warm and inviting for a casual dinner. We were here for the later. Our waiter Paul ran down the specials, I started with lobster bisque soup which was perfect, minced lobster on top of a creamy savory velvety soup, very good. My friends had the lobster bisque soup as well and a crab meat appetizer. the crab looked decadent and he said it was good. We ordered steaks for dinner, I chose the Cowboy Ribeye. The Cowboy is a hunk of USDA aged prime cut Ribeye steak with bone-in. After finishing our app's our steaks arrived sizzling on 500 degree dishes, the beautiful meat quickly melting the dollop of butter on top from it's 1800 degree searing. Nice. Tender, succulent and flavorful sums up the beef. I devoured it completely and washed it down with a nice dry glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. My friends had the Rib Eye and enjoyed their steaks as well. We all shared an order of Mashed Potatoes, Broccoli au gratin and Sauteed Mushrooms in butter. how can something as simple as mushrooms taste so good? The manager came over and checked in on us halfway through our meal to make sure everything was ok. After that we ordered desert, you have to try their signature Creme Brulee, its the best I've had so far anywhere. Creamy egg custard with specks of black vanilla bean on the bottom, caramelized crusty surface served with fresh berries, and strawberries makes this one fantastic dessert. I sipped a 10 year old port while savoring every bite of this. The rest of my party did the bread pudding. I got the Bread Pudding with Whiskey sauce to go as well. It was good but not the best I've had. the service was very good, Paul was awesome in recommending drinks and his knowledge of the menu/specials and food preparation was impressive, we wanted and waited for nothing. Nice job. For three of us having dinner, drinks and dessert the bill came to about 320 bucks. Not cheap but you get every bit of your moneys worth in service and food at Ruth's Chris Steak House. This is how a steakhouse is done. Two thumbs up for Ruth's Chris Steak House!

Very good cuts of meat perfectly prepared as ordered. The melted butter gives it an excellent flavor. I had the filet mignon medium rare. Cooked perfectly ! Steak salad to start was simple with romaine lettuce and tricolor lettuce a few croutons and a few cherry tomatoes. I opted for the balsamic vinegar and oil for dressing. The sides I tried were the mashed potatoes and the creamed spinach. Very attentive service although the hostess was clueless. I have experienced this several times here when attending a large dinner and they brought me to the wrong room

The service was absolutely horrible. It took over 2 hours to get through our meal. It's bad enough that you pay as much as you do, you should at least have good service. The food is amazing, and the filet that I had was prepared perfectly! The bleu cheese crust is arguably the greatest thing I've ever had, but I won't be back solely based on the wait staff.

Ambiance was great, restaurant workers were very friendly, and the food was magnificent! Attended the Holiday Lunch here and will definitely make this a yearly stop over for the holidays. My steak sandwich was very tasty, cooked to perfection, french fries were delish.

Attending a conference in Baltimore I urged a group of friends to give RCSH a try. BIG mistake and was I bashed for pushing to eat here. Could have easily been one star. Very pompus and expensive. Everything is ala carte and adds up quickly and if you drink or have wine you are in the stratosphere of expensive. Service was minimal and the food very average. I think a supermarket steak would have been on par with what we experienced. A small filet is served on a large serving platter. It is pathetically comical to see this tiny piece of $32 meat sitting alone on the hot platter surrounded by its burned juices well highlighted by the whitness of the otherwise empty platter. Taste? Certainly not a $32 experience. Given the la-de-dah of the server you would have thought that he had brought gold to the table. Such a scam! I realize that Sean Hannity's enthusiastic endorsement was bought and when he would arrive my guess is that he would have gotten great service and free meals. I further guess that unlike Paul Harvey, Hannity does not try products he endorses. I was stunned at the number of groups celebrating birthdays and such, along with the glowing reviews here on Yelp*. Maybe RCSH is the best they have ever experienced. I do not recommend RCSH unless money is no object. You can do far, far better at just about any other steak place around.

Came here this weekend. Bone in filet mignon was great. The mojito was refreshing. The primary reason we ate here was for the Carmalized Banana Pie. Man, it's one of the best deserts ever :)
I am giving this place 3 stars because I am not a huge fan of steak. Also for the price I expected a more upscale dining experience but I found it average. The steak was really good, as was the dessert. I would return on someone else's dime.

Five star service from beginning to end!! I had a meeting here last night and Sallyann their private dining coordinator was THE BEST! Extremely professional, sweet as pie and she went above and beyond to make my event perfect!! Dawn, our server was phenomenal!! Attentive and accommodating!! Ask for her and tip her well!! My meal was AWESOME!! I usually get the Fillet but per recommendation I got the Ribeye (medium well) and it was sooo flavorful, juicy and simply melted in my mouth!! Dare I say, one of the best steaks Ive had next to Flemings and Capital Grille!! Mashed potatoes here are always good here! That's a staple dish you can never go wrong with. Green beans was standard, as expected. I fell in love with their bread pudding with whiskey sauce!! Just marvelous!! Although its small, I recommend sharing because its a bit much or save for another day! Overall experience was PHENOMENAL!! My favorite location so far! Pikesville is closer to home for me but based on my previous experience with both locations the Water Street location will gladly earn my money!!!!!

Excellent service and great food. I have never been to a Ruth's Chris that I didn't like. This particular location has a small plates lounge, which I haven't tried yet. I brought all my groomsmen out to dinner the week of my wedding and Ruth's Chris took care of us. We all ordered that night's special cut, a large bone-in filet. We also ordered the lyonnaise potatoes, stuffed mushrooms, onion rings, and steak fries. The dirty martinis, wine list, and beer selection were all very good. I will be back.

For the past four years I've been dining at this Ruth Chris location about four to five times a year. Unfortunately there has been some major service issues recently. A place where people as in me spend easily 150 per person I feel like they should have someone take your coats and there shouldn't be a sign on how to dress when you walk in, that just simply looks ghetto. The sad part about my last experience here is that the manager didn't even come around to ask how things are. I will say that if you go there, sit at the bar because the tender with the blonde hair is a great server and is always very attentive. Hope this helps.

Fabulous Food Prime Location And Aewsome Bartender I really enjoyed dining at this location. The food was amazing. Loved the Sear Ahi Tuna and Sweet Potatoe Cassarole. James was my bartender and he was awesome! He made THE tastiest and best drinks. Its a great location to have a fabulous cocktail, tasty dinner followed by a nice stroll in the Inner Harbor!

I've always wanted to try Ruth's Chris and while walking through Baltimore stumbled upon this location. Our server Scott was very awesome along with the girl at the front desk. The food is great! The double pork chops were cooked well and tasted phenomenal! Mashed potatoes were great as well. I'll definitely be back.

Wanna feel fancy? Come to Ruth's Chris. The atmoshpere is intimate and the food is tasty. WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR?! Oh, the prices, well, LEAVE A LITTLE ALREADY. The steak is obviously is claim to fame and is worth the price. The creme brulee is to die for! Always a good bet for Restaurant Week.

My preferred Mayland Ruth's Chris location. Very romantic location for newly dating couple or just a night out with wife or long term lady friend... I've never been a fan of a hearty steak; however when you dine in a Steak House you eat Steak... And... Mmmmm this Lady knows how to enjoy a good steak these days. Melt in your mouth tender, the knife wasn't needed. But sliced this steak up like thin sheets of paper. Every bite was enjoyable, moist, tender, perfectly seasoned and OMG... The sides came out like platters so you get your monies worth for sure. There was some type of pepper-corn dressing that my party asked for to glaze the top of the steak.... No steak sauce needed.... All i can say is, Wowwwwww... I'm a believer.

This being my first yelp review, I hate to be so negative, but unfortunately I think it is necessary. On the other hand, there were still some positives to the meal, but food poisoning really overshadows any good. I went here on a random weeknight with my girlfriend for a quick meal in the bar area where there is the option of ordering from a bar menu with cheaper options. I had a burger, which was exceptional. Perfectly cooked and tasted great. The fries were also perfect. My girlfriend got the seared tuna salad. She enjoyed the salad, and said the fish tasted fine, but then she ended up getting food poisoning from the meal. I realize that you don't typically go to a steakhouse to order rare fish on a salad, but I would at least hope that the fish is fresh enough that it doesn't cause absolutely horrible food poisoning and debilitating illness for a full 24 hours. Aside from my girlfriend being bedridden for a full day and night following this meal, the meal itself really did seem fine, which is why it's so unfortunate that the fish made her sick. As far as service, even though we sat at a table, our server was the bartender, and the service was still quite good. Walking out of the restaurant, I was thinking this was a 4 star meal and was happy to recommend it to anyone, but I think food poisoning, especially this being some of the worst food poisoning I've seen, really overshadows the positive.

I took several friends here prior to deploying to Afghanistan this past spring. The food was no where near as good as I have had at other Ruth's Chris locations. The food came out cold, to include an order of french fries that were microwaved when they were sent back. To top it off, they stole my credit card!

This was my second time coming to this steakhouse and I have to say the first time was better but it was still good. They had a special $49.95 or $39.95 3 course meal. I got the steak salad, ribeye medium rare and the chocolate cake dessert for $49.95. The steakhouse salad was pretty good and I also go the French onion soup. It was pretty good. The ribeye steak was cooked a little too much and it came out more medium well than medium rare but it was still good. The garlic mashed potatoes was good, the creamed spinach was ok. I also tried the crab cake and I really liked it because it had some spice to it. The chocolate cake was also pretty good. I thought the service was just ok compared to the other time. Anyways, I still thought it was pretty good so I would come back again but I was disappointed that it wasn't as good as my first time here.

Solid, traditional fancy-expensive steakhouse. The steaks are always delicious - come to you on a very hot plate dripping in butter; however are they worth the cost? Side items are extra and I actually did not like the sides... and the offering of sides is a big outdated. The creamed spinach is better at Prime Rib, the sweet potato casserole was too sweet, the steak fries and shoestring fries could use more seasoning. Service is always excellent and the ambiance is near perfect with just the right amount of lighting and ornate details. This is the type of place to go on an old-school date or for your grandparent's anniversary... you are going for the experience. Dare I say that my tummy and wallet are better satified at Outback? Hell, get Outback to go and eat it on dining room linens at home!

This was my second time at this Ruth's Chris and it was even more delicious this time. Maryland style crab cakes (3) - Disappointingly small, flavor was weak. Maybe the Baltimorean in me is being too critical, but there are plenty of other local establishments that have bigger, better, and much less expensive crab cakes. Skip it. Porterhouse for two (5+) - insert superlative compliment here:_________. It was served 2 inches thick, cooked perfectly to medium-rare, and served on famous melted butter. The strip was immensely flavorful while the tenderloin was melt in your mouth soft... steak done right. Quantity is certainly enough for two.. Pricey, but definitely worth it. Creamed spinach (4.5) and garlic mashed potatoes (4) - Both were delicious, but overshadowed by the porterhouse. Spinach was rich and velvety. Mashed potatoes were buttery and silky smooth, but lacked seasoning and could have used more roasted garlic. Overall, a good experience. Next time I'll try the ribeye and the beef carpaccio appetizer (although this was a special).

My brother in-law and I had the absolute WORST porterhouse for two ever here. Our piece of meat was not suitable enough to be served at Sizzler. It was fatty, tough, gristly, and woefully cooked. So why the 4 star rating? Every once in a while the steak gremlins slip one past the goalie. A place like Ruths Chris serves thousands of steaks, most very very good, one is bound to be bad eventually. It's the law of averages people. The reason for my 4 star rating is for the way the staff handled the situation. Both our waiter and the manager were excellent in this regard. They explained what the possible reasons were for the bad cut, they offered their sincere apologies, and asked if we wanted a replacement steak. The manager then invited us, as his guests, to the cigar bar located above the restaurant with complimentary cigars, and he comped almost everything on our bill. Bad steaks come and go and can be easily forgotten, but how it's handled by the staff leaves a lasting impression.

I love the quiet romantic atmosphere and the quality of food. I enjoyed a short wait at the bar, before being seated up stairs. The filet mignon and lobster were superb and I will add this place to my go to list for romantic evenings. The wait staff was excellent, the wine was delicious I cannot say enough

A group of us from our convention went down here. The meal and the service were delightful. Our waiter had the greatest personality and joined in on our fun. I would definitely go back and I don't eat steak but the fish plate I ordered was super. He split up our bill with no problem. He was very attentive to our table as well as the others he was servicing at the same time. Truly an enjoyable evening.

Been going to Ruth's Chris as far as I can remember. I think I've been to everyone of them in our Metro area. This location is by far the best location. Great food, and great atmosphere. I love the old wood beams. It looks like how a classy steak rest. should look like. I always go here with 2-3 people. That way I can order what I always do, Porterhouse - medium rare. Filet side is just amazing on it. NY side is little too chewy. Their soups and vegetables are also well done. My favorite being lobster bisque and potato au gratin. Can't go wrong visiting here. 4.5 stars, just notch below Prime Rib in DC and on par with Capital Grille.

I mean to me all the ruth Chris all taste the same. And I mean that in a good way. Not all serve my favorite apple pie dessert, but this one had it for me.lol. Service was terrible, but host took care of that by removing a $50 dish from the bill.

I went here with my coworkers to celebrate my birthday. We met at the bar for drinks beforehand to capitalize on the happy hour specials ($5 wines and well drinks and $3 beers!!!) For dinner, we splurged and went to the dining area. Since we're on a budget, we each had the 3-course special ($39.99 or $49.99, depending on entree selection). I had a salad, 6 oz. filet with grilled shrimp (cooked to medium) and creamed spinach, and a slice of sinfully chocolate cake. The steak was AWESOME - a week later, my mouth still waters when I think of it. It melted in my mouth, so tender, juicy, and flavorful!!! I don't eat red meat very often so this was definitely a special occasion spot. If you're craving a quality hunk of meat, this is the place to go! The patio is also really nice for happy hour and the patio menu is reasonable!

I'm always a fan of Ruth's Chris, and this visit was no exception. The one thing I would warn about, however, was the location. It happens to be right underneath a dance club. I was there on New Year's Eve, so it may have been louder than usual, but we experienced a continuous thumping from the club over our classy dining music. Besides that, the restaurant is just beautiful, and the service was wonderful, as usual.

Came in on mothers day around 7pm, and the restaurant was slow, sat in the players lounge. Our server Brandon gave a great opening speech at the table, that is where the level of service I would expect from this place stopped.. --Ordered a bottle of conundrum...Brandon did not even offer for me to tatste it, just poured 2 glasses ??? who does that --not offered pepper with ouR caesar salad --wine sat in the bottle while my glass was empty...I had to pour in myself --Messed up our order, we ordered a filet and crab cake entree to split order came out with the steak and a single crab cake AND THE WORST WHEN WE LEFT THE ENTIRE HOSTESS STAFF PLUS THE GM (BALD MAN FROM THE SOUTH) LITERALLY IGNORED US AS WE WALKED OUT NO THANK YOU, OR GOODBYE IF THE GM IS TRYING TO CHANGE THE CULTURE OF THE STORES IN MD....KEEP TRYING

I would only go here for restaurant week: otherwise I would consider this place slightly overpriced. Despite how busy it gets during restaurant week, i found this location perfectly fine, AS LONG AS YOU MAKE A RESERVATION. For both years my roommates and i went for restaurant week, ruth's chris offered the same prix fixe menu. I had the seafood gumbo, petit filet, and flourless chocolate cake. i would have given this place 4 stars for their food alone. the fact that they seem to serve their steaks on a burning hot plate was good, but soaked in melted butter/oil, not so good. it makes me believe that the tenderness is attributed to the fat content of the dish. during my second visit, however, my steak came out fully burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. they fixed my order without any hassle, so that was a +1 for them. as for location, the waiting area is very small, and especially being next to inner harbor and during january, it can get very cold waiting outside. i will definitely go here again for the upcoming restaurant week in spring 2010.

Ruth's Dis - Morton's next time! The steaks and sides were fantastic as they always are so let's put that to bed. We arrived 15 minutes late for our 6:00 pm reservation on Friday. The occasion was my son's 18th birthday. Strike one: They attempted to seat us in the bar. We were dressed well and sober so I have to assume that they were seeing if they could save the upstairs tables for the Pasha of Parkdale. Strike Two: The manager had us stand at the bottom of the stairs like peasants in Les Mis while they "got our table for five ready". At 6:20 pm - REALLY? Clearly a ruse to justify their attempt to stow us in the lounge. Our waiter Matt was very good. He was friendly and well versed in the specials and menu. Strike 3: We brought a special bottle of wine but were denied corkage because "their liquor license did not allow it." I look forward to reviewing Morton's in B'more for my daughter's 21st next month.

I can't complain about the butter steak. It's always rich and savory. However for high end steak places it's okay but not spectacular. The Ribeye is done well. The garlic mashed potatoes are also surprisingly good. Good for a busines dinner.

I've been many, many times and never ever disappointed!
Great service in the bar. Monday night late so, of course, no crowd. Salad and steak (rib eye) were awesome, as expected. Steak served sizzling on the plate which was a great touch.

This particular Ruth's Chris earns three stars on the basis of its food alone. While the service and surroundings are a cut above your everyday chain restaurant, it didn't seem to jive with the upscale prices. For instance, the dimly lit dining room is comfortable, but a bit cramped and the decor is uninspired. Our server was friendly and courteous but his appearance was sloppy (sagging dress pants) and the service was somewhat casual. Then again, as noted above, the food is excellent. The steak is the main focus, of course, and it shines under this spotlight. Served on "500-degree" plates, the meat is juicy, tender, and well-seasoned. Serving it on butter may not please everyone though, so tell your server if you want to change things up. Portions were large and tasted okay, though not as amazing as the steak. The house salad wasn't anything to write home about. Everything lacked in presentation, as food was served on boring white plates that show major signs of age. Frankly, after all the great things I'd heard about Ruth's, my visit was something of a disappointment in that it just wasn't the all-around amazing experience that I had envisioned. Perhaps it was because my visit fell on a Sunday evening. The dining room was only half full, and despite the "Proper Attire Required" lettering on the door, my friend and I were seated despite being dressed very casually. In sum, this Ruth's Chris won't wow you with the service, decor, or presentation, but one thing you won't complain about is the meat.

I did not have a good experience here. The service was slow and the food was cold by the time we got it but I burned my hand on the plate it was so hot! Yes, cold food on a hot ceramic plate. My steamed veggies were boiled and lifeless. :-( Even paying took so long I actually stood up to leave because I knew that would make them move faster.

I pick this as the top steakhouse in Baltimore. I know it's a chain, but in terms of the old school ambiance, the awesome steaks that's sweetened with butter (I always ask for extra), and the flaming banana's fosters (off the menu desert), this place has it all. Oh, and I've ONLY received great service here.

I've been to this Ruth's Chris location 3 times now and have always had an excellent dining experience. The previous times were for dinner on special occasions but I recently went with my family for Christmas Eve lunch and wasn't sure what to expect. Lunch service was new to this location (I believe it was only for the holidays and no longer offered on a regular basis) and they pulled it off tremendously. You could still order all cuts of steak but they offered several lighter appetizers and entrees. I got a tenderloin and portobello salad which had a small salad with a sliced tenderloin and portobello on top of grilled asparagus. It was great because I could get the steak I wanted, but as part of an overall lighter meal; perfect for lunch. Afterwards I was very satisfied and didn't feel weighed down as if I have just gorged on a huge steak dinner. Service was also excellent. The waitress was very helpful, offering insight into all the dishes and providing recommendations based on what we were looking for. She happily brought out a full-sized piece of chocolate sin cake (which chocolate loving people tell me is unbelievable) when we told her it was my stepdad's birthday. Ruth's Chris is great for a special dinner or night out, but apparently it's also a great spot for lunch as well. And prices are quite reasonable too!

Most of the meal was outstanding. The service was great. The damn steak was over cooked. I should have sent it back. I think I should give myself two stars for being to dumb to send a $42 steak back. Next time I will. If there is a next time.

This particular Ruth's Chris location is very good. They can be hit or miss sometimes. I have been here several times and had the bar special and it has been excellent and so has the service. The guys at the bar are very nice and helpful. I plan to keep going back whenever I am up in the city.

Best steak around. All cuts are excellent but the porterhouse for two, filet mignon, and New York strip are sure winners. I find myself comparing all other steaks, and establishments serving steaks, to Ruth's Chris, often being disappointed as nothing comes close in comparison.

After we left the horrific "McCormick & Schmick's" (should be schmucks) we went around the corner to Ruths. GREAT service and, although not the best steak in town, the food was certainly worth the price. Great wine list and the beer was super cold.

love ruth's chris - who doesn't? great management in the baltimore location, though. my friend wore a white peacoat to dinner and hung it on the back of her chair. one of the bus boys must have dropped some type of sauce and it splattered all over the back of her jacket. none of us even noticed or knew until the manager approached her with his card to tell her what had happened. as he explained, the assistant manager came over with club soda and a napkin and began trying to get the sauce off as much as he could. they offered right away to pick up the tab for the dry cleaning. pretty awesome, i think. none of us would have ever even known!! very impressed.

They serve the steak on 500 degree plates (ok, maybe 400, but it's hot so your food stays that way). I order the NY Sirloin medium rare sans butter. (They serve their steak in butter and I personally prefer it "plain".) It is pricey, but you won't be disappointed.

I have frequented many Ruth Chris restaurants from coast to coast and unfortunately I must say this was the worst location I have ever visited. The first impression is a dirty waiting area. After using the restroom the front lobby didn't seem as dirty. The restaurant was not clean, the service was extremely slow and the meat was not cooked to order. I asked for a rare+ filet. It came out closer to medium? However, the meat was tasty. That is one consistent thing I have noticed about Ruth Chris is the quality of the steak. However, for a $50+ a person dinner you should expect the facility to be CLEAN, the service to be timely and the steak to be accurately cooked to order.

I've dined at this location four times, and every time I've been very pleased with the food and service. Filets, porterhouse, ribeye, prime rib... it's all good :) To be honest, my experiences at Ruth's Chris, albeit not the most expensive, have been better than many other steakhouses (Morton's, Smith and Wollensky, Fleming's, Nick and Stef's). So much so that I don't really have a desire to go back to the other places (unless you're buying).

The old saying,"You get what you pay for" rings true! The steaks are simply heavenly! This place has become our celebration station. The service is unparalled. Try the porterhouse for two. Try the lobster bisque and lump crabmeat( I have never seen crabmeat so white), the sauce that comes with it is to die for! The apple pie a la mode is spectacular. The players club room does get kind of loud. Ask for Jeremy, he is a dream! I can't wait for my New Year's Eve reservation.

My wife and I went to celebrate her birthday on a Sunday night. We hadn't been to Ruth's Chris in years but had always had good experiences. After being seated the hostess graciously accomodated our request to move to a warmer part of the restaurant. The bread basket offered a rather average selection of breads but both of our filets were perfectly cooked and delicious. Service was excellent and the manager was attentive without being overbearing.

I love Ruth's, and the one nearest the water in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore was a great example of this chain I've grown to love. Not only did I get the perfect petite filet (with extra butter), but they had a great dinner special my husband and I took advantage of. Sunday and monday nights, you can order an appetizer, an entree and a side dish (each a subset of the full list of avail. items on the menu) for $36. I had a lobster bisque to start, a petite (8 oz) filet and sauteed mushroom on the side. Not just a great deal for Ruth's, a good deal for a great meal. The ambience was modern and chic, not as plain and boring as I've seen in some Ruth's locations. They also had an outdoor seating area in front of the restaurant which would be lovely on a warm evening. Overall, the service was attentive, helpful, and light-hearted, as it should be to make a lovely evening for their guests.

This was only my second visit to a Ruth's Chris Steak House, the other one being in Bethesda, MD many years ago. I had such great memories of the food from that visit that I expected the same. Alas, while the lobster bisque and bread was great, one person's steak was overcooked - yes, I know the difference between medium and medium well - and the sauce for the fish special overwhelmed the dish. Plus the sauteed spinach was cold by the time it got to the table. I do give kudos to our server and other wait staff who were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. However, I think I will try a few other steakhouses in the area before returning here.

a little overpriced, but with the decor and food, it def worths eating there. they even have closed out areas if you have more than 8 people. after dinner, you can walk over to the bar and try out their 27 yr old scotch (that is if you still have any cash left =P)

oh man, this is a great steak place. so expensive but so worth it. granted, i had fish when i went and only a bite of steak (due to taste aversion from the night before), the steak i tried was amazing. i also recommend the sweet potato pie side, so delicious, i could have eaten that for my dinner. i hear they have really great crab cakes. this ruth's chris is better than the one in philadelphia.

Came to eat here for the last day of Restaurant Week. The portions during that week are usually smaller. But I was still full. I had the petite steak and it was amazing. Very juicy and fresh. I had a side salad as well. The food was wonderful and the staff is great. Sonia took care of us. I would def come back in the future.

My daughter goes to school in Maryland and we have frequented this location of Ruth's Chris several times. The valet comes in VERY handy as there is not convenient parking. We have not had bad service here, ever, in fact, the service has been exemplary as you would expect in such an establishment. They are concerned that your food is just how YOU would enjoy it, no questions asked. The restaurant is in a fabulous old building in baltimore. High industrial ceilings, original wood work and floors. Very pleasing to the eye and the taste buds!

Great location and atmosphere. The service was fantastic. Our waitress Nicole was very friendly. We started with drinks and crab cake. The entrees were fantastic. We enjoyed the Cowboy ribeye, 16 oz bone-in filet, and lobster tail. All were delicious and cooked perfectly. No complaints from our visit. We will definitely be back again in the future.

Amazing as always! As always- the food was amazing. And the service impeccable! Your classic steak house food done perfectly. We were there for restaurant week last year... our waiter (who's name I wish I could remember) and the rest of the staff were perfection- anticipating your every need before you even know you want something- but never annoying about it.

Excellent restaurant week experience! Filets broiled to perfection and the creamed spinach a delight! Efficient, friendly, hard working staff.

Went here to celebrate someone's birthday and they had been to this location before. It is located near Rams Head Live (walking distance) and there is parking available - Valet Parking by the restaurant was $10 and there is a Parking Garage around the corner on Frederick Road that is $10 after 6pm (weekday); A second Parking Garage is located on Water Street near the restaurant as well. As we entered the restaurant, the host that greeted us informed us that they had a coat check (good to know) and so a few in our party checked their coats; they also have a mirror too, so when you leave, you can check to make sure everything is in place. We then were seated in an area that had about 3 group tables, but the lights in the restaurant are dim and so it was VERY HARD to read the menu. We struggled, but in the end was able to manage and order a few appetizers - Lobster Bisque (those who had it said it was salty on this visit - tasted fine on past visits) and Lettuce Wedge (portions are massively huge). For entrees we had Spicy Salmon Crispy Shrimp, Stuffed Chicken Breast (was told this was delicious), Porterhouse for Two (by just looks, it could feed 8), Sweet Potato Casserole (tasted very good, but can be shared between two), Fresh Broccoli (plentiful, but hard - was told that it must not have stayed in the water long enough) and Alaskan Crab Legs (some of the shells were soft, but others were already cracked open for me, which is a huge plus as I did not have to struggle so much in trying to access the crab meat). Melted butter was provided for dipping the crab meat and it was in a little dish over a lit candle so that it stayed warm the entire time I ate. The food took a long time to come out, but we threw those thoughts out the door because the service we received from our waiter was on point - Excellent Service. This was my first time at this location in Baltimore, but it was my third Ruth's Chris location in a month and their food has always been great on each visit.

This was my first time visiting this location and it was just OK. The staff seemed distracted and not as polished as the other locations I have frequented. I was attending a business mixer that night in Power Plant so I needed a quick bite to eat so I sat at the bar. The bartender was very nice and polite and was on point, I ordered my food and it came out prompt and was just OK as well, nothing to write home about and I recall not being overly satisfied as I usual am after leave a Ruths. I had a ton of options that night and I chose RC based on my prior experiences and didnt not feel the atmosphere, warm vibe from staff and food were a good example of RC. I most likely would not go back and next time would try something else based on this visit.

This place is awesome. Weather your eating at a Ruth Chris in Tampa or Baltimore your always going to get a great meal. As I was driving over here I saw I billboard for 3 course meal for $30. How can u beat it. Well it met my expectations and more. Great seafood gumbo soup. Filet was cooked perfectly and so tasty and finished the meal with a great price of cheesecake. All portions were regular sized without sacrificing quality. Ask for Brittany as your server and she will take care of you wonderfully. Roger the manager came by and made sure I enjoyed my meal which I thoroughly did. Thanks for a great meal.

I came here a few weeks ago for my company New Years party on a Friday evening. We were in a nice room upstairs by the elevator that had it's own little bar. It was tight but we all fit! We had some time to socialize and mingle before sitting down in which we had crab balls and little pieces of steak passed around. Both were really good. I enjoyed a nice glass of malbec while we chatted. Upon sitting down and taking orders, they poured us more wine which I declined because I had to drive. I did, however, get a half glass more of red when the steaks came out. The steak was probably my least favorite part of ruth's chris which I wasn't expecting. i ordered the filet. It either wasn't very tender or their knives needed sharpening because I struggled to cut that thing. It tasted good- I'm more of a grilled steak fan and I think they sear it in butter. The mashed potatoes and green beans were spot on- I don't even care for green beans but those were tasty. The chocolate cake for dessert was awesome, even though too rich for me to take more than a few bites. Also, shout out to Mark, our server who was friendly, funny and patient.
G/F and I went there for restaurant week. Made a reservation for 6:30pm on Feb 15, a Sunday. We waited for about 5 mins for our table. We pick the restaurant week specials. She has the steak house salad, petite steak, and some desert, which escape me right now. I had the soup, stuffed chicken, and chocolate sin cake. We also ordered a calamari as appetizer. Took about 30mins for our salad and soup to come out, then another 15 mins for the appetizer. And about another 25 mins before the main course came out. Her "petite" steak was really petite, like a size of a plum. She said it was good. My stuffed chicken was the smallest chicken I have ever seen. I not sure what the stuffing was, mostly cream cheese from I can tell. It was stuffed between the skin and the meat, which I have never seen that before. It was okay. The desert, hers were good, my chocolate sin cake was a bit bitter. Overall, I think what made me to drop a 4 star is the service. It was top notch. The food was...were, merely okay for me.

I went to this branch of Ruth's Chris at the request of my boyfriend when we were in Baltimore one day. It was pouring rain, and we walked all the way across the Inner Harbor to make our reservation time of 5:00. Here's where the problem starts. I was wearing jeans this day (since it was pouring rain) and the first thing the hostess said to me as I walked in was, "You DO realize we have a dress code?" I was so taken aback, neither my boyfriend or myself knew how to respond. The hostess asked if we would like to speak with the manager in order for him to judge whether we could be seated, but I was already left with a bad taste in my mouth. We walked back out into the rain and took our $100+ somewhere else to eat. As a waitress at an independent five-star restaurant, I was absolutely appalled at he rudeness of this staff member. After that exchange, I didn't even care how great anyone said the food was; the experience had already been ruined for me by the hostess. The "strictly enforced" dress code also doesn't seem particularly consistent, especially since my boyfriend eats there before going to concerts at the Sound Stage, wearing jeans and a T-shirt (as you can guess, he told me my outfit was fine for the venue as we were leaving for Baltimore). I guess admittance to the restaurant is determined by who is running the front desk that day. Needless to say, I will not be returning and would not recommend Ruth's Chris in Baltimore to anyone.

Went here last night for a work event with the man. Paul, our server was awesome. Very attentive and provided great recommendations. The table ordered oysters, tuna, calamari and scallops as appetizers. I enjoyed everything besides the scallops, which were a bit salty for my taste. I ordered the lobster bisque, which was yummy. For my entree, I had the petit filet Chesapeake style (with a bernaise sauce, lump crab and asparagus). The cut was tender as hell, and the crab meat was moist. The table also ordered mashed potatoes and I ordered the sweet potato casserole for myself, although shared with the table. Can't forget my drinks! Blue Hawaiis! Yum, yum, yum! I brought home the bread pudding. But, haven't had any yet. Will try that this evening. Overall, a great dinner. I'd return. Thanks, Paul for the great service!

I went here for our anniversary. They really made an effort to make our anniversary special. They had rose petals for the table. The server had great recommendations. All of the food was delicious. We tried the filet and the rib eye Chesapeake style. The steaks were definitely the best I have ever had.

Been to this Ruth Chris a handful of times. Food is pretty consistent. The filet mignon has always been buttery and good. The sides of mashed potatoes are creamy and again buttery (you are in for some rich food at Ruth Chris). The string beans and crunchy and perfectly done. I have never thought that they were that flavorful, but I think it balances out the rest of the meal. Today, for the first time, got the Louisiana gumbo, which was excellent. The rice comes first and the soup is poured over it. The shrimp and sausage, everything else is well balanced. Good place for steak and rich food, for a price.

If I were a rich man and less caring of my health I would probably find a way to eat here every day. Lemme first start by saying, don't waste your time and money coming here for Restaurant Week. Yes it's significantly more affordable, but unless you're only in it for a petite filet, you're cheating yourself of a exceptionally superior dining experience. Me and the finomcee eat out a fair amount, and usually to very different cuisines that are well-yelped and come highly recommended from friends. That being said, we recently enjoyed one of our best-ever dining experiences here. Here's the breakdown: Appetizers: Lobster bisque - made with brandy, which cut the creaminess a bit, in a good way. Really unique and really delicious. Seared scallops - great taste but not a great value @ 3/$17. Go with the blue point oysters instead. Steak house salad - Really good house-made ranch, best damn croutons I've ever had. And I am a crouton snob. Entrees: STEAK - NY strip, medium rare. Enough said. People that go to fancy steak restaurants and order their prime, aged beef anything above medium should be put in jail. Seriously. I cry beef jus tears thinking about all that flavor being cooked right out of the meat at 1800 degrees. Finomcee prefers leaner cuts and got the RW 6oz petite filet, which she agreed after trying mine, couldn't compare to the NY strip. A-la-carte: They really really shine here. Our favorites are the creamed spinach, scalloped potatoes, and sweet potato casserole - which we eat for dessert. There are no bad choices here. Drinks: Ruby Red Greyhound - if you like grapefruit, you must try this. A nice red - from Argentina, to go with the steak. Our server, Steve, made a great suggestion If you're craving steak, and good food in general, and have some dough to throw. Come here. You will leave in a state of foodie nirvana.

Some really great food! The steaks are perfect, tender, and cooked well. Don;t like steak? Their halibut was also amazing. As expected, the wine list is also quite impressive. Service was impeccable. Not the cheapest place in the world, as expected. Good for a special occasion.

This Ruth Chris location runs a pretty tight shift the drinks are great servers are funny and fun to talk to they know the menu extremely well and the ability to up sell is great I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this location and we recommend that if you live in the Montgomery County area to eat at this location in particular it is probably their newest location to date.

This was my first time at this location. My waiter was horrible, and showed very little attention. My order came with a salad, and it took 20 min for the salad to come out, after I had to flag another waiter down to complain. Other families came after us and received their entrees before us. I ordered the crab cakes, and those were great. Napkins for both myself and date had wholes in them. Probably won't eat at this location again

Had a horrible experience here. Took an employee and his wife here on a Saturday evening before Christmas. Had reservations for 4 @ 8:30 arrived at 8:15 and was told we would have to wait 20 min. No problem so we went to the bar and had a few cocktails. Went to ask where we stood in about a half an hour. They said about 20 min. Again, no problem. We had another cocktail and waited 30 more minutes. Asked again ND they said it would be 30 minutes. At this point I asked to see a manager who acted like we were being unreasonable. It was now almost 10:00. They finally said they had a spot for us and opened up a empty back room where they tried to seat us in an empty banquet room. Never felt soo disrespected at a Restaurant in my life. I dine at Ruth ' s Chris often and this was such a disappointment that ruined our evning!

We dined here on Saturday evening and much like all Ruth's Chris Steakhouses the food was good. The atmosphere is nice and place is large. If I had one problem with this place it was the time it took to get seated. Our reservation was for 7:30 and there had to be at least 8 other groups waiting to be seated when we arrived. It took about 30 minutes before we were seated. This location is extremely busy on the weekend so you have to prepare for that when you decide to eat here. All and all a pretty good dining experience. (Although not the views you get at the Arlington, VA location which is on the 11th floor). If you like Ruth's Chris you'll love this one too.

This is a solid 3.5 star chain steakhouse. I went for a work event. The ambience is typical for a steak place-dark, wooden, and a bit musty. The service was okay as we were often hailing the waiters over to fill our wine and water glasses. The food: the house salads to start were adequate, nothing special. The petit filet was a very generous portion and served hot gushing with butter which I loved. However, the flavors weren't fully there and the meat was not that tender goodness you expect with a filet. The mashed potato and creamed spinach sides were good but not great. No wow factor. The chocolate sin cake was your typical decadent over-the-top rich chocolate cake. Overall a solid but not exceptional experience.
For my last night in Baltimore, I decided to treat myself to a steak dinner. On previous trips I have eaten at Sullivan's (a couple of times), but the Ruth's Chris reviews I read were very positive, so I decided to give them a try. Service was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. Since I was by myself, I ate at the bar. A nice selection of reasonably priced wines by the glass (I had an Argentinian Malbec). Started with a classic wedge salad...nice touch with some baby spinach and arugula on the plate...cherry tomatoes...only criticism is that the amount of iceberg could have been less...they give you a choice on the dressing, but why would you go with anything other than blue cheese? Side of Au Gratin potatoes was delicious, and low cholesterol :-). Tenderloin of beef was cooked absolutely perfectly...medium rare...sizzling hot plate...cooked in butter. Desert menu was enticing, but I was stuffed. This restaurant is an absolute classic...perhaps a little worn on the edges, but a place I look forward to returning to next time I'm in town.

Pretty Empty, but that was kind of nice. Made me feel as if the whole place had been reserved for just my wife and myself. Obviously very expensive but you definitely get what you pay for.

This is how we would all eat out all the time if we had the money. We started off with some cocktails, which were wonderful. The stuffed mushrooms were divine. The steaks were....I don't think there is a word for how good they were. And dessert? Well, I couldn't finish it all, that's how good it was. The filet came on a plate that was heated to 500 degree to keep it hot, and still the meat was just as tender as could be. We also had spinach au gratin. My mouth waters at the memory. Our server was so helpful and attentive, a real joy to have for the evening. He even brought down a picture of the building in the early 20th century when we remarked on the wonderful architecture of the place. Take your significant other and go, and enjoy. Meal like you have here make memories to last a long time, and are well worth every penny.

The best Ruth's Chris I've been too period. The building and decor is elegant and feels very fancy. The food quality is exceptional, and this particular restaurant is what I hold EVERY Ruth's Chris up against. Trust me when I tell you no other Ruth's Chris (especially locally) compares to the Water Street location. I routinely visit this restaurant as I've never had a bad experience.

Some of the best food and 5 star service that I've had in a long time! By far the BEST Steak House in Baltimore. I'll be back soon. Thank you for a PERFECT evening. The steaks and the seafood were superb. Live lobster and bananas foster too! It doesn't get any better. They even have valet parking and a free shuttle! Thank you Ruth!
This was my first time at Ruth's Chris Steak House, and my girlfriend's third time. We are unlikely to ever dine at this place ever again. We ordered calamari and oysters Rockefeller appetizers, and they arrived barely warm. Our waiter (more on his excellent service and personality) apologized and ordered another round. My calamari was piping hot, as it should have been, but my GF's oysters were just okay, according to her. To be fair, I liked them. We both ordered the filet mignon, and they were succulent, tasty and heavenly. We asked for the meat to be cooked medium rare plus, but the steaks were medium rare minus at best (albeit hot). For steaks that cost $63 each (that's SIXTY-THREE DOLLARS PER CUT) from a place that specializes in beef, meat that is not cooked correctly for, lest you forget, $63, is utterly inexcusable. I expect better kitchen work from Outback. With two appetizers, six drinks, two filet mignons, one coffee and one dessert, our bill came to a stratospheric $250!! If the meat and appetizers had been perfect, no prob. At $63 each, my steak should cause me to make my own bearnaise sauce, if you're picking up what I'm putting down. Holy crap, that is a lot of coin. Sorry, this steak was worth $30, tops. For a $250 meal for two, serving lukewarm appetizers that had been sitting on the warming shelf is inexcusable. Our waiter, Bernard, was terrific. He was not a wait staff drone but actually had a lot of personality, and was fun and real. We had a great time talking with him and getting to know him. He is an asset to the company.

I feel really weird giving outback a higher rating than Ruth Chris but I cannot help myself and I need to be honest. We came here for restaurant week so we got the fixed price menu. A bargain! But if I were charged full price for some of the things I consumed, I'd be pretty upset. Appetizer: Hubby got the walnut, apple, salad thing which was probably the best choice. I got the gumbo and was pretty disgusted with it. Very little diversity, the menu stated that there were to be sausage, shrimp and crab meat in it. I didn't see a shrimp in there and I looked! The flavor wasn't very full. Main Course! Best Steak EVER! Petit Filet was off the hook, straight up... the best thing I ate here! I know you are thinking, well obviously it's the best thing, it's what they are known for. True, But they literally smother it in butter...HEY! I'm not complaining. :The regular price for a steak this size is around 40-50 dollars. Not worth it in my opinion. I feel like I could go to other steak houses, pay top dollar and still get the same or close quality for a tad cheaper. Yes, it was done exactly how I wanted it, so they got that right. Desert So, I love deserts. I love chocolate and I love sugar. We got the cheesecake and the chocolate sin cake. I tried both and was not incredibly pleased with either. I've had better of both. The cheesecake wasnt very rich or good in texture. The chocolate sin cake was better, in my opinion, but I wish they would tell you that its a very dry, rich, dark chocolate with a coffee flavor. I like my chocolate to taste like chocolate. The coffee ruined it for me. I think if they added some freshly made whipped cream to the side it would help both deserts. Also, the raspberry decoration on the plates made (which tasted badly for me) kind of ruined parts of the desert. I wouldn't come here again and pay full price. If I did come back, I'd only get steak. I'd also like to note that it was incredibly dark in this restaurant. Wait staff was running around like crazy (not very romantic) and it was freezing. I was shaking while we ate desert and that was after I asked to be moved to a different table because the window seat was giving me chills.

You definitely get what you're paying for. Ruth's special was a good deal and I was blown away with each course. The strawberry bleu cheese salad, fish of the day (salmon), and the cheesecake with peach compote and dark chocolate bark (exceptionally delicious). Also the fingerling potatoes were great.

This Ruth Chris location is sub par. I have dined at several locations but this location seems to have issues. The valet parking is $10 plus tip?! I am going to spend a lot of money for dinner.. provide free valet. The shape of my petite filet was like a teardrop and overcooked on one end. There were two instances where loud glass shattering was disruptive. Not the experience I expect from Ruth Chris.

I've eaten at several Ruth's Chris locations in my travels. I've always gotten great service and great food until this time at this location. Service was great. They did have a dress code, that seemed to vary from location to location and it appeared as though they weren't enforcing it last night, which was fine.. It was a slow night so we got a table without a reservation. Service was great as I'm use to. The food unfortunately was mediocre at best. The steaks were cooked correctly but the flavor didn't pop like I'm use to for every other Ruth's Chris steak I've ever had and it was a little in the dry side. The sides and vegetables were bland. And it just occurred to me this morning that the asparagus came without the hollandaise sauce it should have had on it. Even my Cajun BBQ shrimp was a little off. I'd still eat at a Ruth's Chris again but if I'm in Baltimore again I wouldn't go to this location..

Sat at the bar, had nice service , wasn't too hungry to try entree so started with app and a drunk, our bartender was pretty cool, I had the stuff mushrooms which I enjoyed, I love mushrooms ..and the seared tuna... Nice , no complaints but you can't really mess up on those things, I'm not a fan of steakhouses because I don't like steak but sometimes they have seafood along side, I'm esp not a fan of Ruth Chris because everyone hypes it up

After contacting me on Yelp and asking if there was any way to make things right, I provided my contact information and requested. They never followed up, and I had been open to trying them again to see if it was a single bad experience and revising my review. Now I will not waste my time or money.

For a first-timer I was highly impressed with the level of sophistication and warmth of the staff. Our waitress was very helpful in assisting with the menu choices and suggestions. I ordered the Cowboy Ribeye which was excellent. However, I recommend that the steak medium to get the full flavor and tenderness of the meat. The side dishes and the drinks were very good, I had the au gratin potatoes and the Bacardi O Mojito, which I will be ordering on my next trip here. Overall, this was a great experience that should be enjoyed by everyone at least once in their lifetime.

Oh, and I've ONLY received great service here.

love ruth's chris - who doesn't? great management in the baltimore location, though. my friend wore a white peacoat to dinner and hung it on the back of her chair. one of the bus boys must have dropped some type of sauce and it splattered all over the back of her jacket. none of us even noticed or knew until the manager approached her with his card to tell her what had happened. as he explained, the assistant manager came over with club soda and a napkin and began trying to get the sauce off as much as he could. they offered right away to pick up the tab for the dry cleaning. pretty awesome, i think. none of us would have ever even known!! very impressed.

Excellent restaurant week experience! Filets broiled to perfection and the creamed spinach a delight! Efficient, friendly, hard working staff.

The Best steak in town, even better when they have a deal going. love the atmosphere and the service, the staff wants to be there.

a little overpriced, but with the decor and food, it def worths eating there. they even have closed out areas if you have more than 8 people. after dinner, you can walk over to the bar and try out their 27 yr old scotch (that is if you still have any cash left =P)

oh man, this is a great steak place. so expensive but so worth it. granted, i had fish when i went and only a bite of steak (due to taste aversion from the night before), the steak i tried was amazing. i also recommend the sweet potato pie side, so delicious, i could have eaten that for my dinner. i hear they have really great crab cakes. this ruth's chris is better than the one in philadelphia.

Came here this weekend. Bone in filet mignon was great. The mojito was refreshing. The primary reason we ate here was for the Carmalized Banana Pie. Man, it's one of the best deserts ever :)
Absolutely loved my first experience here. Jamie H. our waitress was out of this world. I have never received better service. The food was amazing.

(5)April C.

One would expect excellence from any Ruth's you walk into. I've dined at several locations around the country and always had an excellent experience. On this particular evening, we had challenges with traffic, parking and finding the restaurant. When the odyssey finally ended and we walked through the door, the staff (having been apprised of our plight) was exceptional. The front of house staff completely turned what was starting to be a bad evening into a wonderful dinner. David the GM sat us at a table upstairs by the window and made sure we got our first round of drinks. Our servers provided flawless service. The food was, as always is the case at Ruth's Chris, exceptional. Steaks were cooked to perfection. Try the filet au poivre if it is available as a special. Outstanding. Salads, sides and appetizers... all wonderful. They have a very nice wine list that covers all taste and spending ranges. The list of wines by the glass is lengthy and welcome if you just want that one glass with your meal. The décor and atmosphere is comfortable and quiet upstairs, but not without energy. All in all, this is a wonderful place to dine. It is Ruth's Chris. However, this particular location will become a go-to spot because of the exceptional service of the entire staff.

Excellent food, excellent service, great place for a special occasion.

Great service and excellent meal. The server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Not a bad place to try, if you're looking for a quality meal and overall good time

expensive. but oh so freaking good! almost worth the money. better than capital grille hands down!

I took several friends here prior to deploying to Afghanistan this past spring. The food was no where near as good as I have had at other Ruth's Chris locations. The food came out cold, to include an order of french fries that were microwaved when they were sent back. To top it off, they stole my credit card!
(1)Andrew K.

(4)Max L.
(4)Bartholomew C.

(5)Christine D.

(4)Sanie A.
I mean to me all the ruth Chris all taste the same. And I mean that in a good way. Not all serve my favorite apple pie dessert, but this one had it for me.lol. Service was terrible, but host took care of that by removing a $50 dish from the bill.
(3)Deann G.
(4)Hillary L.
(4)jay m.

(2)Matthew L.
I can't complain about the butter steak. It's always rich and savory. However for high end steak places it's okay but not spectacular. The Ribeye is done well. The garlic mashed potatoes are also surprisingly good. Good for a busines dinner.
(3)David B.
I've been many, many times and never ever disappointed!
(5)Tiffany F.
This is my favorite restaurant of all time, and if I could only go out to one place for the rest of my life, this would be it. The Perfect Menu: Appetizer - Mushrooms Stuffed with Crabmeat Salad - Steak House Salad Entree - Petite Filet (Chesapeake Style) Potato - Lyonnaise Potatoes Vegetable - Fresh Asparagus Dessert - Creme Brulée As for beverages, I'd have Merlot with the meal and coffee with dessert. If you aren't drooling yet, I don't know what to tell you.
(5)Scott C.
Great service in the bar. Monday night late so, of course, no crowd. Salad and steak (rib eye) were awesome, as expected. Steak served sizzling on the plate which was a great touch.
(5)Shawn F.
(3)Brandima A.
(1)Matthew K.
(5)Jeff W.
(5)Tom W.
Most of the meal was outstanding. The service was great. The damn steak was over cooked. I should have sent it back. I think I should give myself two stars for being to dumb to send a $42 steak back. Next time I will. If there is a next time.
(2)Drew M.
This particular Ruth's Chris location is very good. They can be hit or miss sometimes. I have been here several times and had the bar special and it has been excellent and so has the service. The guys at the bar are very nice and helpful. I plan to keep going back whenever I am up in the city.
(4)Andreas L.
Best steak around. All cuts are excellent but the porterhouse for two, filet mignon, and New York strip are sure winners. I find myself comparing all other steaks, and establishments serving steaks, to Ruth's Chris, often being disappointed as nothing comes close in comparison.
(5)Renato S.
I love this ruths chris, classy layout with nice decor. My steak is always good here, cooked to perfection with nice service. The lighting can be a little dim though.
(5)Lee M.
After we left the horrific "McCormick & Schmick's" (should be schmucks) we went around the corner to Ruths. GREAT service and, although not the best steak in town, the food was certainly worth the price. Great wine list and the beer was super cold.
(4)Jennifer W.
love ruth's chris - who doesn't? great management in the baltimore location, though. my friend wore a white peacoat to dinner and hung it on the back of her chair. one of the bus boys must have dropped some type of sauce and it splattered all over the back of her jacket. none of us even noticed or knew until the manager approached her with his card to tell her what had happened. as he explained, the assistant manager came over with club soda and a napkin and began trying to get the sauce off as much as he could. they offered right away to pick up the tab for the dry cleaning. pretty awesome, i think. none of us would have ever even known!! very impressed.
(4)Todd V.
Love this place. Always awesome. Beautiful Restaurant. Great Staff. Delicious Food. Regardless of where you are seated. You will love it. Definitely the best of the RC chain that I have tried.
(5)Rebecca Y.
They serve the steak on 500 degree plates (ok, maybe 400, but it's hot so your food stays that way). I order the NY Sirloin medium rare sans butter. (They serve their steak in butter and I personally prefer it "plain".) It is pricey, but you won't be disappointed.
(5)NoCal N.
(1)Dan K.
(5)Donna H.
(5)David G.
Good if you like ruth chris... a fun atmosphere for anyone.
(4)R L.
(4)Swati L.
(5)Valerie B.
(2)Hanitizer H.
The Best steak in town, even better when they have a deal going. love the atmosphere and the service, the staff wants to be there.
(5)Josiah L.
a little overpriced, but with the decor and food, it def worths eating there. they even have closed out areas if you have more than 8 people. after dinner, you can walk over to the bar and try out their 27 yr old scotch (that is if you still have any cash left =P)
(4)shilpa p.
oh man, this is a great steak place. so expensive but so worth it. granted, i had fish when i went and only a bite of steak (due to taste aversion from the night before), the steak i tried was amazing. i also recommend the sweet potato pie side, so delicious, i could have eaten that for my dinner. i hear they have really great crab cakes. this ruth's chris is better than the one in philadelphia.
(5)Camille A.
(5)Joy T.
(5)Scott D.
(5)Rachel I.
(5)Sue H.
Excellent restaurant week experience! Filets broiled to perfection and the creamed spinach a delight! Efficient, friendly, hard working staff.
(5)Kizzy Y.
The food was great and the waiter name Joshua was awesome. The restaurant is very beautiful. I would definitely come back here again.
(4)Gail R.
(4)Nick C.
(3)Rich C.
(5)Sarah G.
(4)Ashley M.
The first thing we noticed when we walked in was how amazing the atmosphere was. This location has so much character and charm to it, you can't help but love it. The waiter was phenomenal!!! Paul was his name and he took the time to show is around and give us some great history of the building and background of Ruth Chris steakhouse. I wish all servers were as knowledgable and personable as he was. I had their CEO dirty martini(something like that) it had to have been the best martini I have ever had, at $14 it should be, right?!? ;-) as for the steak... Quite possibly the BEST sirloin I've ever eaten!!! It was so tender and flavorful, I was in heaven with each bite! We also had the sautéed mushrooms which were super delicious as well. I will for sure visit this establishment again before I leave the area.
(5)Jake L.

(5)Letisa H.
(2)Sunny W.
The food is great, and all the people there are nice! I love this place! It is the best place I have ever been in Baltimore!
(5)Ray H.

(4)Kris L.

For unknown reasons, I have never found myself at a Ruth's Chris steakhouse. I have tried just about all other large name steakhouses and some not so large name ones. We decided to go to Ruth's Chris for our 10 year anniversary, never hearing a bad review we thought it would be a pretty safe bet. The service was good, the waiter was attentive and provided additional information and wine recommendations that were wonderful. The food however, was just okay. We both ordered filet, asparagus with hollandaise, and the potatoes au gratin. I ordered my filet medium well, and it was completely well done with the outside of the steak almost stringy and tough. I ordered my filet with a béarnaise sauce that didn't really have much flavor. My husband ordered his steak medium rare, and it was so rare on the inside that it was purple. The hollandaise sauce for the asparagus tasted like just plain butter. The potatoes were cut pretty thick and had a bit of a crunch to them (it may be a personal preference, but I don't like my potatoes to have a crunch). We were disappointed in the quality of the food we experienced here. It seems honestly like any other chain restaurant with nicer waiters.

(5)Arthur C.
Pretty Empty, but that was kind of nice. Made me feel as if the whole place had been reserved for just my wife and myself. Obviously very expensive but you definitely get what you pay for.
(5)Amy P.

(5)David D.

My last review was actually for the location on Pier 5. This review is for the location next to the Powerplant, which I went to for Mother's Day. I was looking forward to going, because I enjoyed my experience at the Pier 5 location so much. However, this location is mediocre in comparison. I guess I had high expectations and I was very disappointed. The food was okay. The best thing that I had was the creme brûlée. It was SO delicious. And I appreciate that it was given to me, because it actually didn't come with my pre-fixe meal. The problem is that I really expect a lot from a higher end restaurant. One pays a lot at these restaurants (our bill came to a little over $250 for 3 people) so everything should have been impeccable, but it was not. Here were my issues: *The waiter's uniform was not ironed/pressed, and know that is nitpicking but it's the little details that are important. *To prepare the table, one of the waiters took a knife, and scooped all of the crumbs from the table onto the ground. YES, this really happened. *That being said, the floor was extremely dirty, because there were basically crumbs all over the floor. *There were entirely too many tables in one area. It felt too crowded in the dining area, but it wasn't even that many people in the room. *They didn't enforce their dress code, so while some people were dressed up, there were others who were a little bit too casual for the atmosphere. The table next to us just came from the Os game so obviously they were dressed extremely casual (which is great because, being the proud Baltimorean that I am, I love the Os but not for a restaurant with a dress code). *Most importantly, as mentioned before, the food was just okay and THAT is not okay. I could have gotten a better meal at Panera Bread (except for the creme brûlée) and that is a problem. So I know that I will not be going to this Ruth Chris again. I, honestly, don't recommend it. I don't know if the Ruth Chris in the other location is still as good as they were, but I'd recommend for one to try that one over this one.

(3)Emil C.
(5)Judy S.
(2)Vincent E.
(3)Britty-britt W.
Sat at the bar, had nice service , wasn't too hungry to try entree so started with app and a drunk, our bartender was pretty cool, I had the stuff mushrooms which I enjoyed, I love mushrooms ..and the seared tuna... Nice , no complaints but you can't really mess up on those things, I'm not a fan of steakhouses because I don't like steak but sometimes they have seafood along side, I'm esp not a fan of Ruth Chris because everyone hypes it up
(4)Heidi H.
After contacting me on Yelp and asking if there was any way to make things right, I provided my contact information and requested. They never followed up, and I had been open to trying them again to see if it was a single bad experience and revising my review. Now I will not waste my time or money.
(1)Aleem A.
(4)Tiffany F.
(5)Shawn F.
(3)Brandima A.
(1)Matthew K.
(5)Jennifer W.
love ruth's chris - who doesn't? great management in the baltimore location, though. my friend wore a white peacoat to dinner and hung it on the back of her chair. one of the bus boys must have dropped some type of sauce and it splattered all over the back of her jacket. none of us even noticed or knew until the manager approached her with his card to tell her what had happened. as he explained, the assistant manager came over with club soda and a napkin and began trying to get the sauce off as much as he could. they offered right away to pick up the tab for the dry cleaning. pretty awesome, i think. none of us would have ever even known!! very impressed.

Love this place. Always awesome. Beautiful Restaurant. Great Staff. Delicious Food. Regardless of where you are seated. You will love it. Definitely the best of the RC chain that I have tried.

(4)Rebecca Y.
They serve the steak on 500 degree plates (ok, maybe 400, but it's hot so your food stays that way). I order the NY Sirloin medium rare sans butter. (They serve their steak in butter and I personally prefer it "plain".) It is pricey, but you won't be disappointed.
(5)NoCal N.
(1)Dan K.
(5)Donna H.
(5)David G.
Good if you like ruth chris... a fun atmosphere for anyone.
(4)R L.
(4)Sue H.
(4)Swati L.

The Best steak in town, even better when they have a deal going. love the atmosphere and the service, the staff wants to be there.
(5)Josiah L.
a little overpriced, but with the decor and food, it def worths eating there. they even have closed out areas if you have more than 8 people. after dinner, you can walk over to the bar and try out their 27 yr old scotch (that is if you still have any cash left =P)

oh man, this is a great steak place. so expensive but so worth it. granted, i had fish when i went and only a bite of steak (due to taste aversion from the night before), the steak i tried was amazing. i also recommend the sweet potato pie side, so delicious, i could have eaten that for my dinner. i hear they have really great crab cakes. this ruth's chris is better than the one in philadelphia.

(5)Letisa H.
(2)Sunny W.
The food is great, and all the people there are nice! I love this place! It is the best place I have ever been in Baltimore!
(5)Ray H.

(4)Kris L.

(5)Arthur C.
Pretty Empty, but that was kind of nice. Made me feel as if the whole place had been reserved for just my wife and myself. Obviously very expensive but you definitely get what you pay for.
(5)Amy P.
(5)Christine Y.
I went here for our anniversary. They really made an effort to make our anniversary special. They had rose petals for the table. The server had great recommendations. All of the food was delicious. We tried the filet and the rib eye Chesapeake style. The steaks were definitely the best I have ever had.
(5)Jay L.

(2)Heather W.
(3)Emil C.
(5)Judy S.
(2)Vincent E.

(4)Stephanie I.
(5)Le B.
(5)Michael N.
(5)David D.
(5)April C.
(4)Monique C.

(5)Ken L.
Wow, best steak ever! Sill the best steak. But I must say I went there again and not as good.... Not bad but not awesome...
(5)Fat T.
Came here this weekend. Bone in filet mignon was great. The mojito was refreshing. The primary reason we ate here was for the Carmalized Banana Pie. Man, it's one of the best deserts ever :)

Celebrating with my boyfriend and tried a new vodka called Fuzzys, so smooth! You have got to try a Fuzzy cocktail paired with a nice Steak and Lobster, unbelievable meal!! We tried the cheesecake creme brûlée and the chocolate explosion, both were incredible! Try this out next time you visit Ruth's Chris Steakhouse :)

Absolutely loved my first experience here. Jamie H. our waitress was out of this world. I have never received better service. The food was amazing.

(4)Sonny A.

Excellent food, excellent service, great place for a special occasion.

(5)Christine D.

(4)Sanie A.

(2)Matthew L.
I can't complain about the butter steak. It's always rich and savory. However for high end steak places it's okay but not spectacular. The Ribeye is done well. The garlic mashed potatoes are also surprisingly good. Good for a busines dinner.

I've been many, many times and never ever disappointed!
