its the home of the 5.00 you cant even go to the grocery store and compile a soul food meal for this price. fast food meals are more than this. baked chicken is good. fried chicken is good. mac and cheese is decent. greens and cabbage are okay. fried fish was pretty good. soul food and affordable. will return.

Great dinners, soul food flavor. Reasonably priced! Very divey. But what they lack and decor they make up for in amazingly flavored food. This is as close to a home cooked meal as you're going to get! They take time with each order, not throwing slop in a container and sending you in your way so I recommend calling the order in at least 10 mins ahead as they make each meal to order. Cash only which is a blower but like that's gonna stop me from returning ha!Not open on Sunday's :-(

For the price I guess you cannot be upset...I've wasted $5 on other things. I got the crab cake and it was full of filler, but heck I paid $5 so I don't know what was wrong with me for expecting a good crab cake. I also got mac and cheese and it taste like Velveeta cheese and noodles. Now the garlic mashed potatoes were to dye for...yup I found something in my platter I liked. I also ordered a chicken wing just to taste it and I ended up with a Turkey wing...talk about dry as sandpaper...it was dry. So let's back track a little. My husband ordered about 4 different items and we went around 5 or 6 and they had run out of all of the entrees he wanted. So you can just about imagine how he was feeling. So, I told hubby, "Sounds like to me you should be asking what they do have to help save time." He ended up getting salmon cakes mac and cheese and greens. He actually loved the salmon cakes, but I didn't taste it so I can say if it was good or not...his sides..not so much. He was in them. So, maybe we will give them one more try. For $5, I keep asking myself what am I complaining for, but then again money doesn't grow on trees...

Family owned & operated great food, I love the greens made with turkey meat. Nice spot to get a good meal!

This is my first time coming here but never again. I ordered the stuffed chicken breast with garlic mashed potatoes & greens. The greens were good but everything was bland and cold. Stuffed chicken breast isn't really stuffed but it's two chicken breast with a thin crabcake in between. It was supposed to come with shrimp but they were out of it. The mashed potatoes were ice cold with gravy that didn't have any flavor. The people that worked here was fairly nice but the food wasn't good. I could've saved my $10 but oh well ..trial & error lol
