My husband and I ate here for dinner on the 4th of July. We made reservations, and even though we showed up a little early they were able to accommodate us right away. It's a small but cozy place with a decent amount of outdoor seating. We ordered the tots as an appetizer, which were yummy and the highlight of the meal. Our meals were good, but nothing spectacular. You get a plenty of food for the price. Overall it was a fine experience, but next time we are in the Federal Hill area we will probably check out a different place.

My go to place in federal hill for dinner or breakfast. It's good but not blow you away food. Good salads, sammies, and brunch always leave satisfied. I almost always get the daughters frittata for breakfast, and the last time I went the two others with me got the maple pecan waffles and some sausage scramble. Both had good reviews. Also I like the muffins instead of bread basket. Bartenders are attentive but don't over do it. Good place in the neighborhood

Very slow service for a Friday night. We were promised a table in 15 minutes and no one ever came out to seat us, 50 minutes later, we were finally seated. The food was good, the waitress compted our dessert. I highly recommend making a reservation for this quaint little bistro in Baltimore.

I only stopped here for a happy hour crawl, so got an appetizer and 1/2 priced bottle of wine. This place has been around for a long time, and went here because my father mentioned going here on the daily when he was young and lived in Federal Hill. Since I only stopped in for an appetizer, I can't review too much of the menu, but if you take anything away from this review, just know this: Get the Tator Tots. They are sooooooooooooo delish (and definitely not healthy).
(4)Steve F.
Tots were excellent but took an hour to arrive. We waited an additional 45 minutes for our entrees. This is the second and last bad meal I will eat here. NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR WAIT. There are plenty of great places to eat in Baltimore, this is not one of them.
(2)Marye I.
I'd give this place 4 or 5 stars if they brought their prices down about 10-20%. It's a nice atmosphere, tasty food, friendly service - just too expensive.
(3)Cat B.
Regi's is a great place for brunch, lunch or dinner. Anything with crabmeat in it is going to be legit. The crabcakes have huge lumps of pure meat, and almost no filler, like a true Baltimorean would seek out. The summertini is a refreshing drink, perfect for its namesake season. Portions are large - I've rarely left without a doggie bag. The outdoor seating is lovely, too.

Known to have slow service at peak times, Regi's won back my business with their quick service with a smile last week. I deliberately took a late lunch to avoid the rush, so in all fairness can't compare it to other times I've been. Taking advantage of the restaurant week menu, I crabbed out witih crab chowder, then crab soup and ended with pecan pie. Their desert could use a little panache, but overall a satisfying and relaxing dining experience.

Calamari was good. Fries are tasty. Thai salad is NOT Thai salad (don't be fooled by the "we've been making this salad for 30-years spiel"). Very friendly staff. Good bread. Good butter. Great with the water refilling. No frills, no thrills. Wouldn't return, but I have some friends who enjoy frequenting.
(3)Jeff B.
Great food...lots of dishes to chose from. and Services was great.
(4)Logan M.
Always wonderfully prepared food with large portions and fresh ingredients. Whether brunch or dinner, family or date, you'll never go wrong. Everything from the drinks to the service, absolutely one of my favorites.
(5)Betty H.
I would give this restaurant 4.5 stars. Loved this restaurant.. We have eaten at several places in Federal Hill and so far this is the best by far. It really sounds weird but the Tater Tot Appetizer and decadent and absolutely delicious. We went to dinner early after a matinee at the Hippodrome. The restaurant was not crowded when we arrived but by the time we left they were packed. I had the Cashew Encrusted Talapia and it was quite tasty. Everything was fresh and delicious. I am looking forward to going back!
(4)Theresa G.
Ate here two days in a row. Great food and warm ambience.
(5)Panda B.
We had the: Cream of Crab Soup: smooth and flavorful (filling too) Grilled Oink & Mooo Meatloaf : AMAZING Anchor Pork Medallions: Delicious South Beach Mojito: not as good as Milan's Mojitos Quality food for a decent price. Definitely a date place. The crowd is older but very jovial. +1 point for all the Federal Hill Paintings adorning the walls!
(4)Meredith M.
Regi's in Federal Hill always seems pretty busy whenever I pass by. my girlfriends and I went for a late lunch on a Tuesday and the outdoor seating area was full (in September). The sandwiches all sounded amazing. I settled on the Brie with turkey on ciabatta bread. My only problem with the sandwich was that the turkey was a little dry. My friends loved their sandwichs though..... if only I could remember what they had. if you go, definately sit outside so you can people watch. =)
(4)k r.
Wrap was good though the fries didn't look appetizing or taste all that great. I came here to try the cronut which was decent but nothing I would rave about. Or stand in line for (the cronuts in NYC must be out of this world or something!).
(3)Ellen B.
I've been to Regi's a couple times and always had a good experience. My dad, the crab cake connoisseur, says they are some of the best he's had: large lumps of crab with no breading or filler. Their crab dip app is also cheesy and yummy. They have a bunch of different fish options (my fav) but most recently we had the pork tenderloin special and it was really flavorful and really hit the spot. also you can sit in the bar area and watch TV and eat from their regular menu.
(5)Matthew F.
Their online menu is inaccurate. My friend and I walked from Mt. Vernon to Federal Hill for brunch in anticipation of having the polenta and rosemary infused waffles, only to find out upon arrival that they haven't had that on the menu in forever. My bacon, egg, and cheese panini did not come with gruyere as advertised, but rather cheddar, and the panini was more like a lightly grilled cheese in consistency. To top it off, our two cups of coffee cost $6.50. Our waitress was friendly and responsive on the upside but the kitchen has a little work to do on the refinements.
(2)Seth N.
This was our first time trying Regi's and we were not happy with the experience. We ordered an appetizer (Tater Tots), that we either not put in for order or was fogotten by the waitress. I ordered the Asian Salmon (came with stir fry vegtables - were descent) which was a terrible cut of salmon and had absolutely no taste whatsoever. The sesame seeds were not crisp and seemed as if they had been sprinkled on the salmon the night prior. My girlfriend ordered a Chicken dinner special (came with a dry piece of cornbread and squash/zuccini) which was nothing more than a chicken breast slathered in bbq sauce and diced into four slices. It was half off bottle of wine night so we did enjoy our drink. I'm sure I will give Regi's another try but with so many other options in the city I would guess it won't be for some time.

This is a quiet little place in Federal Hill that is a MUST-EAT! We can here on restaurant week, and even though we'd made a bigger reservation than the number that actually showed, they happily adjusted our table to better suit our size. The service is great. They are attentive, they are aware of when the table should be cleared, they refill the water pitcher, and they give plenty time for waiting for late arrivals/slow order decision making. The food is dericious. I had the gazpacho, not traditionally made but blended so that the separate ingredients are more closely mixed, but still grainy enough that you can parse out each individual flavor. The flat iron steak came with broccoli (that wasn't overcooked, which is hard to find!) and two types of potato slices, thicker creamier ones and thinner chip-like ones. The onions were just lightly caramelized without becoming flaccid and the steak was absolutely perfect. I had the peach cobbler for dessert and also sampled my companion's strawberry creme brulee. The peach cobbler was a bit spicy from the generous helping of fresh ground cinnamon but they kept the natural sweetness of the peach and added a dollop of whipped cream to balance the taste. As a person who dislikes creme brulee and flan and other custardy things, I found their brulee just light enough to be enjoyed w/o choking from the creaminess and thin enough that the balance between the flamed crust and the creamy interior matched perfectly. All in all, a great find in Fed Hill (and reachable by Charm City Circulator, yay!)

Regi's Bar & Restaurant is a great lunch spot as you tour the Federal Hill area. I recommend this restaurant before you visit the Visual Arts Museum which is roughly 8 minutes away. I dined on the outdoor patio on a beautiful Fall day. The patio is small and noisy. However, the staff was superb and was very attentive. The lunch I had ordered was an extremely good tuna melt. The dish was a homemade white meat tuna salad with sliced tomato and melted cheddar cheese on twin English muffin halves. The fries were perfectly done. I had a soft drink (coke) to drink. The carbonation was excellent and fresh. I highly recommend Regi's Bar and Restaurant for lunch. Enjoy Baltimore!
(4)Scot W.
I would give this restaurant 3.5, if I could. The food was pretty good and the service was great and friendly. The tater tots with brie and bacon is good, but should be shared by two people as it is quite rich. Their gazpacho with lumps of crab was good, but the grab didn't add much to it, really. The soup itself was good, though. I had the eggs benedict and thought they were very good, although the hollandaise was a little on the bland side. So were the home fries; they needed some serious spicing up with salt, pepper and a touch of malt vinegar. My girlfriend had a buffalo burger with goat cheese; she said it was quite good, although the buffalo burger was not as good as a Ted's buffalo burger. All in all, a solid restaurant with an interesting menu and a good brunch selection. PS. The men's room is very bizarre,

Regis came recommended but Overall we were disappointed. We arrived for Sunday brunch and noticed rather quickly that the dining room was very warm and the noise carried horribly. We were impressed with the warm muffins and butter delivered to our table they were absolutley delicious! After reviewing the impressive selection of menu items I opted for the servers selection of eggs chesapeak which is my favorite breakfast item, the server advised us that the hollandaise at Regis was amazing, the best he has ever had! After that tid bit I forgot that we were sitting in stagnant air with now a newly seated table almost on top of us, it was odd and uncomfortable BUT with the best hollandaise in town in route to my table it's hard to complain!! My partner ordered the tuna and tomato grilled cheese on Texas toast...sounds pretty good right? Not something you would normally see on a menu. Our food came out and the potatoes were outstanding, fresh and delicious! Onto the best eggs chesapeak....no way, not even close. The poached eggs were undercooked which some people do prefer but I'm not a fan, they were runny with part of the whites too undercooked for my liking. The hollandaise was lacking everything including flavor, I had to salt it which is something that hollandaise should never need when it is at your table. The crab was nice jumbo lump but still to me lacked in something. I had eggs chesapeak the day prior at Todd Conners in fells point and it was amazing (and that's basically a corner bar). The tuna, tomato grilled cheese was good but could have been so much better, the cheese had no taste I'm not sure how that even happens. The bread was dry (but still ok). Potatos again, fantastic and the fruit garnish was delicious, yellow watermelon and cantelope. The bar also does not serve dark and stormys Which was dissapointing for a federal hill hot spot. Overall if you have never been, keep looking..BUT we were curious about the tarot tots and may consider a bar order only for those!

I will say their wine list could use a lot of help. Our intentions were to go here for a few glasses of wine and a few appetizers... We ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and a good 15 minutes later she came and told us they were out... (it was the ONLY bottle on their entire menu, mind you). They had another sparkling by the glass, so we ordered two glasses. What came were small cans of canned sparkling wine, complete with really fancy straws. Sofia it was called. It tasted like cheap sparkling wine, which is what it was I guess... brian couldn't finish his so I got two. Outside of that, the other options on the wine list were... well. just grocery store. Literally... Red bicyclette? Come on. That's bargain basement safeway wine... For food we just ordered the crab dip appetizer. It was good, as expected I guess. The plate that was on the table when we sat down had remnants of butter and some smudgey stuff on it. Their other food looked good, but service didn't seem that great. Their men's bathroom is very, very strange. Many other places we passed had some sort of happy hour going on, this was one of the few that didn't.. Their outdoor seating area was nice to sit at. Cramped quarters, but what bistro isn't.
(4)Chris B.
Decent food. Great tater tots. Slightly overpriced. One of the only outdoor seating spots in fed hill. I heard the breakfast burrito with avocado is awesome. The ahi tuna sandwich is mediocre and the crab soup was too rich.
(3)Sol B.
A nice, homey restaurant for those seeking good food in Baltimore. We were up from DC visiting the Walters Art Museum (great show on Greek Heroes) and Yelped to find this neighborhood gem. On-line reservations for a large group made it even more of a snap. The tater tots stuffed with crab - for that matter all of the crab related dishes - were a big hit as was the slightly spicy and nicely crunchy macaroni and cheese. The special for the day was yellow fin which came out beautifully rare; several of us enjoyed the huge and well-seasoned meatloaf; and others enjoyed the crab cakes and steak. Only con (if you can call it one) is the strangely placed men's restroom which you happen upon at the end of the bar as if it were a linen closet but with out any of that freshly clean smell.
(4)Jennie L.
slow service but AMAZING food you MUST try the crab dip here. it's full of 80% jumbo lump crab and then they top it with MORE jumbo lump crab.. soo good!! and for only $11 i think, soo worth it! the calamari was also excellent, as was the monte cristo sandwich. definitely recommend!
(4)Susana M.
I was hoping this place would be my holy grail brunch spot in Baltimore since it looks cute and is so close to my house, but after stopping in for brunch a few weeks ago, I was definitely disappointed. The service was slow and the food was meh. It's nice that they have outdoor seating (which I took advantage of when I was there), but then again every restaurant in Federal Hill does. Not impressed. It always looks crowded in the evenings, so maybe they have good dinners, but I don't think I'm going back to find out.

We went here for brunch after a night of rather hard drinking. Despite my hangover I was very pleased with the meal. It was an incredibly nice morning and we were fortunate enough to get a seat outside. We were greeted by our server immediately and served a decent cup of coffee. My friend demanded we get the tater tots which, as someone mentioned, weren't stuffed as the menu says. They were quite delicious however and were gone in about five seconds. I ordered chesapeake benedict which was ridiculous. My two poached eggs were topped with LOTS of crabmeat and I loved it. This is a must have if you come here for brunch. My friends were pleased with their meals as well and we walked away very satisfied. Its such a shame they lied about the tots. I have to dock a star because I hate being lied to. Those bitches are TOPPED with cheese, not stuffed.
(4)Voltaire D.
While visiting a friend in charm city he took my buddy and me over here for brunch. It was fairly quiet and was seated quickly out in their heated patio. We just got there maybe thirty minutes after they opened so everything was fairly quick, the food and our drinks. The only think that took awhile was the check but by then Regi's was starting to fill up with people. The food was good and the muffins where tasty. I can't really remember what I ordered but I know it was big enough to where I took half home with me. The bloody marys were pretty good and they put a rim of old bay and a craw fish in it. I would say a must try. Definitely get there early.
(3)Jessica L.
I went here for lunch with a friend I teach with. It was a very cute place with great decor and great seating outside. Thee outside was full so we sat inside. We both had the urkey and Brie - Fresh roasted turkey breast right off the bone! with melted brie cheese and cranberry demi-glaze served on ciabatta bread. It was very thick! It came with these fresh made fries that reminded me of boardwalk style fries. Both the fries and sandwich were very good. The service was very good. Most sandwiches were $8-$10. The menu had a nice wide selection and I would love to go back and try some other things. The only con I saw was parking- Federal Hill is basically all metered street parking so good luck! We lucked out and it was lunch time. I couldn't imagine dinner time!
(4)Richard R.
Great service. Crabcakes unbelieveable. Sat outside, terrific people watching. Recommend.
(4)Aaron B.
I great find in Federal Hill - food is always great and the specials always surprise and never disappoint. The tots are the best starters around and you must try them when you go. Leave room for the upside down apple pie desert - it is worth leaving room for
(4)Amy A.
Ate here based on Yelp reviews. Found the tater-tot appetizer to be the highlight of the meal but the rest lacked appeal. I had the meatloaf which was moist but the tastes were just too "heavy" to enjoy the whole thing. Our child had pulled pork which was, in her words, "mushy". My hubby had chicken which was good, but not great. If we had it to do over again we'd look around for something else.
(2)Doug N.
Great place, if you're 60 and enjoy subpar food and waaay overpriced drinks. Most of the patrons seem to want to believe they're in DC or Chicago, and are happy to pay these exorbitant prices.
(1)Kitty N.
This place makes an awesome crab cake. The tuna appetizer was also good. I would say it's a little on the pricey side, but great place to try out on a nice evening.
(4)branden g.
wow .... LOVE THIS PLACE ... for what it is ... it is a great bmore restraunt ... not on a fancy street or anything . Just on a regular bmore st with a bunch of other great restraunts . The crab cakes were 5star !! and the sea food period is super fresh and delicious (seasoned well, not over seasoned though) . the menu has a little bit of a creative twits to it . Frendly charm city staff , quaint little spot , outdoor seatting & once again FRESH FRESH FRESH !!! layed back atmosphere , not formal (still professional) small wine list .

full stomach, empty wallet, hit or miss otherwise. regi's is a busy and intimate place to split a bottle of wine on a thursday night with that pretty lady who tolerates your company or binge on fancy foods with friends or family. be ready for a wait if you've got a group as chatty campers will wear out their welcome long after they've paid their check and gotten their doggie bags. this is a fault of the patrons and not of the very accomodating hosts; who, despite the traffic, will do their best to let you know they value your business. along the same lines, busy nights will slow down the service to a frustrating crawl. for what you're paying feel free to gripe about not seeing your waitress for up to a half hour between drink refills, but maybe we shouldn't be chugging our wine right out of these little decanters either. besides, you'll want to go easy on the wine as the mark up is insulting and the selection is mediocre at best. their food can be hit or miss, with many items falling far from specification. ask for meat well done just to be on the safe side as you might get rare if you ask for anything close. many of the starters and sides can be quite bland (lobster mac/cheese, mashed potatoes, peppers, etc) but you still have the option to add a nice fat crabcake to anything on the menu! i highly reccomend the BIG peanut thai salad with crab as it could probably feed an entire family and it's among the best salads i've ever had. still, for what you pay one expects more from the supposed main courses, making regi's a once in a while place for dinner. make more out of your money and stop by for a wrap/burger/sandwich at lunch and be sure to sit outside if it's nice.

My husband & I went here for dinner with 6 friends tonight. We had reservations so didn't have to wait in the crowded bar area for a table, but we were about 15-20 minutes late for our reservation because we had to drive around and find parking (Saturday night, 8:00). The room we were in was VERY hot. It was about 35 outside so they had a fireplace going but it was probably too much. We were all intrigued by the $9 tater tots appetizer so we got two. They were described as "traditional tater tots stuffed with brie and applewood bacon", but when they came they were just tater tots with some cheese melted on top and a couple bacon chips. Still tasty, but WAY overpriced. My husband split the Buffalo Oysters with a couple of the guys and they said they were great. The filet was "OK", and the Blackened Tilapia wrap looked like salmon, not tilapia, and wasn't that good. Atmosphere was very nice, service was good, however it took a good 45 minutes to get our meals. Not a bad restaurant, but not spectacular.
(3)S. W.
Much better than any of the chain restaurants in the harbor. Bar area seems like a local hangout and dining room is decorated in a very different (nice) style. Waitress was great....friendly and a good sense of humor. Our group had the peanut Thai salad with crab, Mahi Mahi, steak, and cubano. All was very tasty - cubano was a bit heavy.
(4)Sam O.
My boyfriend and I came from DC today to go check out the visionary art museum ! Friends recommended that while in Baltimore we just had to come to Regis and try " AJ's loaded tater tots"! We made a reservation for 1130 and told the hostess we were celebrating our anniversary. We got a beautiful table inside by the window but opted for outside seating to better enjoy today's amazing weather. Before even ordering the famous tots were sent out by the owner complimentary and these really beautiful mini muffins! I had crabcakes eggs Benedict and my boyfriend ordered a breakfast wrap! Everything was simply great! Perfectly seasoned potatoes with old bay and fresh melon! The owner is welcoming to everyone walking by and the place is dog friendly! We will be coming back!!!
(5)Nat M.
My girlfriend had the twisted chicken sandwich and the chicken had obviously been cooked before and then reheated in the microwave. The texture of the chicken was rubbery and pretty much inedible. The menu also described that the sandwich had guacamole on it but there was none to be found.

Had a very wonderful meal here on a recent Saturday night. I and my Mother had checked this place out in the afternoon and the Owner himself had given us a tour of the inside. We came back that night for Dinner when none of the Harborplace restaurants appealed to us. Boy, are we glad we did. We started with the appetizer of Hong Kong Wings which were of good size and quality. The Asian glaze on them was authentic and delicious. Our Caesar Salads were fresh. I had the New York Strip with Bleu Cheese crumpled on top. The Steak was flavorful and juicy and stayed moist the whole time. Bleu Cheese on top was heavenly and clearly the best I'd ever had. Best Steak I'd had in years. My Mother ordered a Shrimp & Pasta dish with some of the biggest Shrimp I'd ever seen. For Dessert, I had the Apple Pie which was served warm, and my Mother had the Chocolate Layer Cake. All in all, one of the best meals I've ever had out. This place serves some seriously good food, a notch above, and the Owner is a cool guy. Please try Regi's, if you haven't already. Made our night!

Unfortunately, I have found that the stigma associated with Federal Hill's nightlife scene has transgressed into a general stigma where people won't even want to pursue day-time activities there. Well, those people are somewhat missing out. Federal Hill has some good breakfast and weekend brunch options (notably, Spoons and Ryleigh's) with Regi's being one of them. I have been to Regi's once and was seated on their outdoor patio on an early fall afternoon. They have limited seating both inside and outside so I would recommend calling to see what's available before you devote yourself to driving around searching for parking (if you opt to drive) for 20 minutes. I ordered the Eggs Chesapeake Benedict. When it comes to brunch in Baltimore, I tend to gravitate toward crab anything ("when in Rome" philosophy, I guess). The most I can say is that it was good. After all, I did eat all of it. But I must admit, I have had better. Especially for the price: $17 for crab cakes that were certainly on the small end and did not have that lump crab look or taste. Service though was very friendly. Aside from the service and the outdoor dining option (which is a little rare in the Federal Hill area), this place was pretty unremarkable. I'd recommend going around the block to Spoons and getting yourself some unique, tasty, and better-priced breakfast/brunch/lunch dishes. If you are looking for outdoor seating AND a seafood-heavy menu, Regi's offers the most seafood breakfast/brunch options I've seen on Federal Hill menus (aside from Ryleigh's Oyster of course). Just be willing to pay a little extra than you would elsewhere.
(3)Delinda J.
I love love love this place! Best alcoholic beverages made with fresh fruit and strong! Food is equally fresh! Innovative menu relies on local products. Bartenders are friendly and when owner is there he greats all his guest personally!
(5)Emgy M.
Made me a tuna steak sandwich even though they took it off of the menu without even batting an eye. Waitress was great and on top of everything. A nice place to escape from the usual fed hill crowd. My friend had the salmon special- with strawberry sauce and it was a unique but great combination.
(4)Miriam P.
My first time traveling to Baltimore and I can across this restaurant because it was recommended by the hotel concierge. I was told that this place was a local favorite and that I needed to try the soft shell crab as it was in season. Sure enough I arrive at the restaurant and the house special was the Soft Shell Crab. It was yummy! I highly recommend this place. I'm used to soft shell crab in a sushi roll as that's how it's typically served in the west coast. I was not expecting 2 whole soft shell crabs. It was delicious!!! I also had the French onion soup prior to the entree and that was also very yummy! The service was friendly. I will definitely come back to this restaurant the next time I'm in town!
(5)Calvin Y.
I was recommended Regi's by an acquaintance of mine. Within ten minutes or so of arriving, I can understand why he recommended it. Regi's is a small restaurant with a really warm atmosphere. Upon entering, you're greeted by friendly staff and are seated in the small area the restaurant occupies. There always seems to be quite a few people who are eating there. The place looks great, and the food is presented quite beautifully. Now, you're probably thinking, "That's awesome! Why only three stars then?" I'd be asking the same thing too. All good points aside, Regi's seems to be one of those places where part of what you pay goes towards the ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant. A decent chunk of what you pay, actually. Any way I look at it, the prices of every item I saw on the menu is at least a few bucks more expensive than what I would have thought they would be priced at, and it doesn't seem that there are any good cheap options either. In addition, the menu seems a bit uninspired. I didn't really see anything on the menu that really stood out to me, and rereading the menu several times didn't yield anything different. Service, while friendly, was a bit slow, although I never got the impression that my table was completely forgotten. I guess I expected a bit more from a restaurant with this one's particular price point and the strong initial impression it made. Maybe I'm just hating. Maybe the service was a bit off that day. I also here that brunch is where this places really shines too. If I decide to come back here to try it, it'll probably be after exploring more places around the area looking for something better.
(3)Siman H.
IMO, it's the best restaurant bar in federal hill, great food/service/people. There are three bartenders that work there regularly, Tricia/Colin/Dena and the trio are very attentive. They will make you feel like home, and the owner Alan will greet you at the moment you walk in. I love their concept about supporting local produces and also with fresh herbs/veg straight from their rooftop garden. Everything is super fresh! Namaste
(5)Casey C.
Surprisingly this is one of the best places for delivery (via orderup) in Federal Hill. Everything shows up fresh and as ordered every time. We have been happy with everything, especially the salmon burger and fries. The crab cake is good but it is very small so I would avoid that.
(4)Patti N.
I like to call this my Cheers Bar in Federal Hill. A place where the locals love to hang out and the owner is always on site making sure his guests are happy. Just recently popped in and they were celebrating Hanukkah- serving fresh jelly donuts, brisket dinners and their same wonderful daily menu. There was a lively crowd and everyone seemed really happy. I enjoyed a chicken Caesar salad and my friend had matzoh ball soup and potato pancakes with fresh applesauce.
(5)Denise D.
I love going out and trying new things. But I often fall back on the ol' familiar. So when some friends came up from DC to visit, we ended up visiting Regi's for lunch. And I'm glad we did. The menu has a nice solid list of usual stuff they serve every day, and a separate page of daily specials. I decided to go with the cranberry chicken salad, but with tater tots rather than fries. Why? Because tater tots rule, obviously. Friend #1 got the broccoli/cheddar omelet made with egg whites (zero hassle when she asked for just whites, btw), and Friend #2 got the salmon with green beans & tots. He also ordered a tot appetizer. Nutshell: everything was good. Friend #2 said his salmon was the best he's ever seen in the area, with a nicely blackened outside and a nicely cooked but not overdone inside. Friend #1's omelet was the size of her head, and looked amazing. As for me? My sandwich was gigantic, and the certainly didn't skimp on the chicken. I'd have liked a bit more dressing on the salad, but then I've always been a mayo junkie. That's a me problem, not a them problem; having that much chicken on a sandwich is definitely nothing to complain about. The appetizer tots were delicious, and lightly covered with a white sauce & shaved parm. I'd have never thought to put "real" parmesan on tater tots, but I will now. Thanks, Regi's! I'll be back y'all. BTW, they make their own pickles, which are a crazy-cool mashup of dill and bread & butter. I loved the strange "hey, this dill is...wait, now it's kinda bread & butter" Willy Wonka-ness of 'em, but the waitress said they're a love/hate proposition. Me? Can I buy 'em by the mason jar please? I know you have jars, you serve your beer in 'em. Mmm, beer. Just far enough for me to walk to, and then walk off lunch from...I'll be hitting this place again. Especially since our waitress told me that they put a crayfish garnish on their Bloody Marys. Let the crayfish boogaloo commence!

We wandered over to Regi's American Bistro from the Book Festival, and were pleased that they were able to seat our party of 8 outside. We were disappointed to see they did not have a menu posted, and if we had noticed their limited selection and their prices we would have kept walking. The service was very good, and the food we had was prepared very well but all their sandwiches are in the upper teens and they didn't have any entrees less than twenty bucks. Price wasn't really an issue, but we were hoping for simpler fare. I ordered the salmon flatbread believing it was a pizza, but it was listed under the sandwiches because that was what it was. It was tasty, but impossible to eat as a sandwich since flatbread is not going to hold anything anywhere. I've been meaning to try Regi's for a while now, and I think I've had my fix.

I have eaten at this location approaching 10 times and I can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. The brunch is awesome! Whenever my family comes into town they always ask if we can go to Regi's. I just had the soft shell crab entree with a glass of Pinot noir and I literally savored every bite.

This review is mainly on my experience, since I was unable to try the food. Though tuna French toast sounds horrifying, all the food I saw looked decent. The bartenders were nice. And the Bloody Mary was great. Unfortunately, I got here at 10 on a Sunday. A Ravens home Sunday. I requested a table for 3 and was told the wait would be 90 minutes. So I grabbed one of three obviously empty bar stools. I ordered a drink and was even offered a menu by the bartender. Of about 12 bar stools, apparently 7 were "reserved." Four were clearly reserved (they were tilted up against the bartop) and at about 10:30 a group of older gentlemen came in. Ok. But when two people tried to take the other seats next to me, the host came running over. Quote the man I assume to be the owner, "people call weeks in advance for these seats!" Never in my life have I heard such a thing. At this point, I decide I refuse to give business to this guy and request my check so when the others in my party arrive we can leave immediately. Thank goodness because about 5 minutes later, three Fed Hill stereotypes strolled in, pointed and said "those are our seats." I will never again set foot in a business that condones and encourages behavior of the sort. We walked twenty feet away to Blue Agave, were greeted by a friendly hostess and bartender, shown seats immediately, and enjoyed our brunch to some reggae music.

Monday night is chicken parm night and let me tell you what...it was like something straight out of wherever they invented chicken parm. For $11 bucks, I seriously got a challenging portion. First they start you off with a crazy good Cesar salad...hit the spot, then out comes this huge chicken breast with awesome sauce topped with cheese...and as an added bonus, like really good pasta. YOU HAVE TO ASK FOR THE CRACKED PEPPER! Bartender knew how to mix up the drinks too for our neighbors but I just stuck to water.

What I ordered: Fried jalapeno deviled eggs Baked meatballs Prime rib with stuffing and acorn squash Steak with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts Bread pudding Apple pie What I thought: Delicious. Casual chic atmosphere. Good American bistro food. Everything was well prepared and made with love. Service was great and seating was comfy. It's the neighborhood restaurant you want to be a part of. Why you would go: Great place if you're looking to grab a good meal with friends, family or even a date. Why I would return: The prices were so decent for what they offer. And I love their food.

This is our second time going there and the first time was perfect. Food, service, everything! This next time the service was bad. The hostess was our server and she has short with all of her responses. We needed to change rooms because there was a group that was very inconsiderate and obnoxiously loud to everyone else in the restaurant. We over heard our server talking about us to them whether she was friends or not with them or not it was unreal. It was very very unprofessional of her and very rude.

Fantastic spot for brunch, great outdoor seating. I had the crab omelet and Bloody Mary. The tator tot app was sooo good as well!!

The worst place we went to in all of Baltimore Harbor. The place is very nice and intimate when you walk in, and we were seated promptly. From there the whole experience was terrible....The chicken for the chicken parm was like rubber, and the linguine was basically mush. When our waiter saw that we hadn't eaten our food, he basically turned right around and didn't return for 10 minutes. Then a woman came over and asked us if we were finished and if we wanted a box, and we said no. She asked us if the food was ok, and we said it wasn't very good. Then she gave us an attitude and said, "Well, do you want something else because you looked pissed." Actually, wasn't pissed at all; just wanted to leave before the already awful experience could get any worse...but of course it did... She brings the check and says very loudly, "I took off the chicken parm....you're welcome." And gives us a disgusting look. The place may have had an off night in food, but they SERIOUSLY need to work on their service, because this was one of the worst experiences I've had eating out.

Used to be my favorite place until they stared with the old seafood switcheroo. Restaurants are becoming notorious for this cost cutting fake out. As a life-long fisherman (woman) I can tell when I'm being served farm-raised fish labeled as "local." Fake flounder and bland Indonesian crab. Ruined my last dinner there. Which will be my last dinner there.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE TRYING TO WATCH YOUR WEIGHT. (unless you are watching it break the scale!) Used to live in Baltimore, years ago and whenever I get the chance to come back, this is the ONLY place I want to go. I have introduced countless people to this gem. Love the setting in a little row house, but outdoor seating is great. The bartender sure knows a thing or two about mixology. On a visit about a year ago, I had some kind of martini that had lavender liqueur - forgot to ask on the recent visit, but I have to have it again next time! I have had the Peach & Pom-tini and although I thought it may be too sweet with all that peach going on, the vodka "punch" put this drink in the "grownup" slot for me! Ok - they make crab cakes the way they USED to make them on the eastern shore! Nobody does that anymore. You taste nothing but lump crab and it's not so fancied up or fusioned that you lose the entire Chesapeake crab experience. Next - the button buster.. I mean A.J.s Tater Tots. These are the best surprise you can imagine. Just order them. I can't even talk about them. OMG Don't go changin'. I'm counting on you to keep it real for my upcoming visit.

Great brunch place! The PBJ Wafflewich is divine! Basically a PBJ sandwich wrapped up in a waffle! Check out my blog for more details and photos: adayinthelalz.blogspot.c…

Went here yesterday with a big group for restaurant week and had a great time. I actually opted to try their "Big" Thai Salad with salmon instead of their RW menu. It was awesome! The peanut sauce complemented the salmon perfectly. True to the name, the salad was definitely entree-sized and very filling. My compadres' RW selections looked great as well. They all came out quickly and were plated nicely as well. The watermelon salad was very fresh and tasty (who knew watermelon and feta could go so well together?) The desserts were also fantastic (from the few that I sampled, peace cobbler and creme brulee). I especially liked the super friendly and accommodating staff. It was a busy Friday evening but I never felt like they rushed us with ordering our food or the check. Plus, (I think) the owner of the restaurant was going around introducing himself and welcoming guests to his place. (Okay well it was either the owner or just a very happy Oriole's fan...but I'm *pretty* sure it was the owner). Great experience, I'll be back!

Regi's has changed. I suspect the current chef is the culprit. They used to have, what I thought was the best fried calamari in Maryland but no more. I fell back on an old favorite - the Mile High Meat Loaf this time. It's no longer mile -high and it seemed very fatty. I'll wait until I hear they have a new chef before returning.

Besides that the fact the manager barked at me when I walked in (such a Baltimore greeting) my experience at Regis was great. We were seated after a decent wait (and the manager yelling) Beyond that, our service was prompt considering it was a crowded busy Friday O's game night. The food was great. We tried the pulled pork, salmon, and of course Gary's burger (yes, they have Gary's turkey burger here...the stand from the farmers market!) Everyone loved their sandwiches and their fries were reminiscent of ocean city boardwalk fries!

I had a crab cake that was pretty awesome! I sat outside which was nice this time of the year. It was an overall great experience.

A neat little restaurant on Light Street in Federal Hill. I had the fish tacos with blackened tilapia. These were very good. We also had the garbage salad, which was a very large salad with shrimp, salami, and bleu cheese on it. There was also twisted chicken club. Servers were attentive. Food seemed a little slow coming out of the kitchen. I was there for lunch so will need another visit or two to refine the rating. But for now it's a solid 4-star place for lunch.

I live across the street from Regi's and always see a lot of people eating outside. I always equate lots of people equals good food. I tried Regi's for the first time for restaurant week. I liked the fried oysters, a bit spicy but good. The soft shelled crabs were okay. I just thought the crabs were a bit bland. I was looking forward to dessert and was VERY disappointed in my strawberry creme brulee. The creme brulee had the consistency of banana pudding. I personally like my creme brulee smooth. Maybe it was what I got for restaurant week but my dining companions loved their food.

We came here for the Christmas '13 dinner service. My wife and I ordered off of the prix fixe holiday menu, which was a solid selection of classic, delicious American fare. For our appetizers, we tried the Jalapeno Deviled Eggs, which were cleverly deep fried and served with dipping sauce, and the Meatballs, which came baked in a cheese and marinara bedding. Both were generously sized and delicious. Our main courses were the Flat Iron Steak and the Rib Eye, both of which were cooked skillfully and came with contemporary takes on traditional sides of mashed potatoes, squash, sweet potatoes, and shaved brussel sprouts. Overall: delicious, satisfying American food served in a lovingly worn, yet well-kept and decorated neighborhood setting. I would love to come back again to try their subsequent offerings.

I have been to Regi's twice, for dinner, and for brunch. I was pleased both times. My boyfriend is a huge fan. He loves cozy restaurants, and he loves more traditional American style food. Also, he loves crabmeat. A given. I will definitely go back for brunch again, I really couldn't make up my mind on what I wanted. And I love the drinks. Helpful hint, the tots are really rich. Service was above and beyond both times, with two different servers.
(4)M C.
The cream of crab soup was chock full of crabmeat which was good. However, the wait staff didn't seem to enjoy being there much or let's just say they lacked personality. Overall, it ok I'll try them again to see if I just visited on a bad day. Hmmm

Every restaurant should have tatertots with brie because they are a genius idea. We stopped here for a quick snack since I had missed lunch and we already had dinner plans. Since it was a lovely day, we opted for the outdoor seating which was nice and our server was appropriately attentive. Along with the tatertots, I had a tuna appetizer which was tasty and tuna was good quality...it just needed something else..maybe some spice or zest or acid. I also had a blueberry vodka lemonade drink which was quite tasty and perfect after enduring modern air travel.

I came here for Restaurant Week's dinner menu. The first course, the watermelon and feta salad was interesting, and sometimes the watermelon and feta clashed in a bad way. Someone else liked the combination though, so maybe it's just my taste buds which thought it was weird. The main course was amazing - soft shell crabs! The seasoning was Old Bay and brown sugar, which worked perfectly for me because I only like Old Bay in small quantities. The corn on the side was also amazingly good. For dessert, the strawberry creme brulee was really unique and good. They caramelized it perfectly so that it didn't taste burnt, which other places easily mess up. The creme part underneath tasted like pureed strawberry in a pudding-like consistency - really creative and tasty.

Had the Monday special - Chicken Parisian and it was amazing. Cesar salad, chicken parisian, and pasta was great and the cracked black peeper made it even better This place was very nice on the inside and had a cool little patio along the front. I will be back for the Tuesday NY strip special!!!! On the pricey side if you don't get the daily specials.

We really enjoyed our lunch here. We were in Baltimore for the weekend and decided to head over to Federal Hill for a casual lunch. Regi's hit the spot. It's a small restaurant and can get crowded, but we were one of only a few parties there. It was cozy and quiet. For our entrees we got the turkey burger and one of the brunch specials, the smoked turkey panini. Both were very good. The turkey burger was moist and flavorful and came on a sturdy brioche bun. The panini was great as well; I really liked the combination of the sweet honey mustard with the smoky, salty turkey. It came on potato bread, which is one of my favorites. The fries were hand-cut and made fresh, and went great with Regi's awesome homemade ketchup. The entrees also came with delicious homemade sweet pickles. I wouldn't hesitate to return to Regi's next time I'm in Baltimore.

Every time I've been to Regi's, it has been a different experience. I was there pre-fire for lunch a couple of times and the food was good, not great, but the drinks were excellent. We finally got in for dinner post-fire late last winter, and we were pleasantly surprised - their menu seemed to improve, as did the food. We ventured there again last night and we were struck by two things; how sweet my mojito was and how loud the main dining room is. I got the farm pasta, which had lots of fresh veggies in a garlic olive oil over linguine. The husband had the shrimp salad sandwich. Both were good, but not exceptional. Overall, I'd rate Regi's a B+, not because it's bad but because it can be better! Kudos, though, for the rooftop garden, which allows for fresh mint in the overly sweet mojitos.

Came here for the cronut knockoff. Not what I expected but the salmon salad was very tasty

From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. Our waiter was very attentive, but not a overwhelming. And...let me not forget to mention the soft shell crabs. They were divine! Incredible...left me waking up this morning wishing I had more. I would highly recommend this place. They'll make you feel like your home.

So the food was fine. Pretty good actually. Love the porterhouse pork chop special a lot. However they rung in a different wine than was ordered and the price was off. When we inquired about the different item, they said they needed to use a different button, which is fine, but it did not honor the price. Even though the price change was minimal, honor the price and don't charge us more!! After a second inquiry they said the menus were obsolete and they would change it (in a very disgruntled manner). Forget it. We don't care about a lousy couple of bucks but don't be misleading and honor your prices.

Tried Regi's again after a long hiatus. It's still lively and cozy, and I think we snatched up the last available table on a Friday night. Our server was friendly and attentive. The cocktails and food were both disappointing. Both of the specialty cocktails we ordered were sickly sweet. I especially had hoped the grapefruit martini would be more balanced as grapefruits themselves are tart, but it was so sugary. The blueberry lemonade tasted watered down, but still too sweet. The appetizers were better than the main courses: the buffalo oysters was a nice portion, well-cooked with good accouterments. The veal parmesan smashed balls were tasty, although the melted cheese on top immediately congealed into a solid sheet that had to be cut with a knife. Entrees- really disappointing. We shared The Garbage Pile salad which came with a carafe of syrupy sweet dressing, but in a bowl so full of lettuce it could not be properly dressed without sending it flying all over the table. The other ingredients (shrimp, salami cubes, etc) were ice cold and bland. Just totally BLAH. But better than the other entree, a special of miso glazed sea bass, which was totally raw and cold in the center and had to be sent back. They did comp us a drink while we waited, which was nice. When it returned it was cooked through, but still had a weird mushy texture. The wheatberry salad on the side was good. Very disappointing for a$100+ dinner for 2. If I ever go back to Regi's I'll stick to sandwiches and beer (but plenty of other places in fed hill do sammys and beers)

Regi's delivers a solid performance, but doesn't blow it out of the water. Service was prompt and our server was polite. Perhaps wine by the glass was a *little* high ($19 for Stag's Leap Cab) but no biggie. As other reviewers noted, the tater tots with brie and bacon are a tasty novelty and a great comfort food in February. However, the beets served with goat cheese and pistachios fell a little short on flavor and could have used some more pistachios. The Jumbalaya contained a decent amount of shrimp with some nice spice but was missing pizazz. Still, a solid dish. The Thai chicken salad was also solid, but nothing I couldn't make at home. the dressing appeared to be made in house, but the Mandarin oranges seemed straight from the can. The cozy-atmosphere and friendly owner and staff makes for a comfortable evening but Regi's needs to tweak some of its dishes.

Hands down on of my favorite Baltimore spots. The crab cakes are incredible and hearing that they have veggies grown on the roof makes me feel the food is good and clean too. I love bringing people here.

Everybody seems to love this place; well, I'm not one of those people. This place has mediocre, over-priced food. Some things are really good but then some things seem like you ordered them at Subway. If I were to Pro/Con Sunday brunch it would go like this: Pro: The drink specials are good and you get fed; Con: You will get the most of your drink specials because the breakfast food, at times, is seemingly inedible.

While I am a fan of this restaurant, I feel their customer service is at DIRE need. My family and I were looking for a quick breakfast for Mother's Day and since it was early, I didn't make a reservation in an aim to keep our options open. We arrived and although the WHOLE restaurant appeared quiet and seemingly empty, the female waitresses were definitely not content to see us arrive at the restaurant. We were told that in an hour, people who reserved tables were coming so therefore, we had to "eat quick" for them to make room. OK, that's fine but they could have explained this information in a less dire and dramatic way: PROFESSIONALISM lacking! While we were then treated by the same waitress in a nicer way during our meal, a couple began to seat themselves outside, when our waitress came busting out of the restaurant door stating that they do not allow self-seating, that the couple should come inside, and that since they didn't have a reservation, it was bad timing. Although the couple initially accepted the menus, they left which was of course, reasonable. I wouldn't stay either if a restaurant does not welcome business. Yes, I have owned a restaurant and understand how chaotic it can be but keep in mind that regulars (as was this ^ couple) will most likely not come back! The words "sorry" and "please" can go a long way especially in such a thriving ambience. As far as the food my family and I received, we were pleased. The food was not a huge portion and although we felt full, it was a very light and healthy meal which we definitely appreciated. Since the customer service was ridiculous, I will most likely not come back but great cooking by chefs for sure!!

Regi's was my go to place when I wanted a decent crab cake and a cup of crab soup to satisfy the growling coming from my stomach. The restaurant suffered a fire a few months ago and it has had a change in its kitchen staff (cooks) and servers. So what did I get when I ordered my dinner on a humid Baltimore evening? Dissappointing Maryland crab soup and average crab cakes served by a deligthful young woman. It appears that Regi's has lost it's way and instead of a cup of tasty crab soup, I was served a bowl of thick tomato onion soup with some lumps of crab on the top. The soup was more like a tomato stew and did not have the zing that B'more crab soup is known for. I ate about half of the portion and said that was enough, and waited for my crab cake platter. Sad to say but the crab cake recipe is also different, but not for the better. Instead of lump crab meat, nicely seasoned with a small amount of bread crumbs to hold it together, it had more bread crumbs, less meat and the seasoning was absent. Oh my, the fire has not only caused physical damage to the property, it has taken excellent food and turned it to merely average at one of my favorite places. So I have given Reggie's two stars as this meal was totally disappointing for the price we paid. I think that the owner needs to find a new cook (or the previous) who can follow the old recipes and bring the "original" taste back to this nice little place in Federal Hill. Also the menu is undergoing renovation and some of the popular dishes are gone. It appears Regi's is in transition after the fire. Hopefully it will get its act together soon.

I am a foodie and very forgiving if the restaurant tries to improve when it encounters a problem. But when they try to justify or explain with bogus logic, I cut them no slack. lunch,2 people,no alcohol, only sandwiches,2 soft drinks:~$40. I had the Cuban sandwich. Bread was nice, but that was about it. Ham had no flavor and the pull pork tasted old. Fries were soggy, greasy and not fresh. There were little pieces of burned detritus with the fries. I barely touched them and I only ate half of the sandwich (and only half of the bread of this half). I told the waiter i was really disspoainted an pointed out the flacid, greasy fries and the burned pieces which were floating around. Manager comes out and tries to rationalize that different potatoes can't make crispy fries. Really? NOTHING WAS COMPED, despite the fact that most of my food went back. He said next time we come in he'll make sure the fries are crispy.Next time? In such a competitive scene like Federall Hill, I recommend a new lunch chef and a manager that can stand up to the truth, which is the food was bad and the fries were not "FRIES".

My wife and I have been to Regi's a number of times since moving to Baltimore back in January of this year and our experiences have ranged from pretty good to just OK. I'm sure Regi's isn't unusual in that I suppose it depends on when you go and who's working that night, but consistency can go a long way. How about an overview? Like just about every other bar/bistro/café in Federal Hill Regi's is overpriced. I guess that's something you get used to after awhile. It's like being at Disney World and paying $9 for a soft pretzel. That's how it is. It's a challenge to find anything on the Regi's menu for less than $10 and most of their entrees clock in at well over $20. I'd be willing to buy the whole "paying for the atmosphere and service" thing but atmosphere at Regi's isn't really all that special and the service can be spotty. And for some reason I always feel like a kid when I go there (I'm in my mid-thirties). It has this atmosphere that makes it seem a bit like you're eating at your parent's bar, which you very well might be. Speaking of which, there's a pretty small bar in the front with a couple of high-tops crammed in for good measure, but I wouldn't bother sitting in them unless you constantly want to be walked into by everyone that goes by on their way to the door or the bathroom. It's even worse in the winter with everyone opening and closing the front door all the time. There are also a couple of dining areas to the left and in the back. I would guess the place probably seats 60 people inside and another 15 or so on the outside patio. Pretty "cozy" in real estate speak. The last time we were in there the hostess attempted to seat us at a two-top in the back of the side dining area that was so close to the person at the next table that I think I could taste her food. There were several empty tables offering a bit more legroom so we asked to be moved to a four-top. She seemed annoyed. I didn't take it personally. After all, dealing with the public for a living would piss me off, too. We started with the mac and cheese. It arrived blazing hot. Suggestion; It's actually a good idea to let things like mac and cheese rest a bit before serving them. Give that cheese some time to set. Nothing like trying to eat melted cheese hot enough to strip paint. Anyway, the flavor was good and the crunchy topping was a nice touch. A lot of places in Baltimore underseason their mac and cheese. Regi's got it right. Well done. My wife got some giant grilled chicken salad (picture the big salad on Seinfeld). Nothing special. Aside from a few black pieces of lettuce in the mix, it gets a passing grade. I got the turkey and brie ciabatta sandwich with Regi's fries. The fries, a thick version of those served at most county fairs, were great. The sandwich was a bit on the dry side and I happened to find a quarter-sized piece of turkey bone in it while I was eating. Not a huge deal. I mentioned it to our server and she didn't seem all that interested. I like the fact that they use real turkey on their sandwiches but you've gotta pay attention to the bones. It's like getting shells in your crab chowder. Not good. Overall, it was just OK. Regi's isn't all bad. On the good side of things, the Original AJ's Tator Tots are amazing (tots covered in melted cheese and bacon...c'mon). The website says stuffed, but they're not. If you need a reason to visit Regi's, this is it. The fries are great and the brunch, if you get there early, is among the best in the neighborhood. Bottom line? Regi's is a take it or leave it kinda place for me.

I'd give this place 3.5 stars. One of the first restaurants that I came when I first moved here. Took my family here for crabcakes (as City Paper rated them as the "best crabcake" for that year). As I remember it, the restaurant offers a comforting feel, and we got good service there. The food was not very memorable. The crab cake was good but nothing to rave about. The price was also slightly steep for the food that we got but maybe that's because we got the pricier items on the menu. Not too bad. This is an option for those who want fine dining in Federal Hill.
(3)Nate A.
I've been here a few times. The first time we got the crab cake, porterhouse pork chop and tater tots. Everything was pretty good - the crab cake alone was enough to make me want to come back and the tater tots were amazing, even though I don't like bacon. More recently, I came here and again ordered the crab cake but it was dry and not too flavorful. The veggies were also oversalted. The calamari however, was very good. Service has always been decent, but not great. The whole place always feels crowded. Between having to get a reservation on weekends and the variable quality of the food, I'm not sure if I'll be back. It seems a bit overpriced, but most of the food is local, so that's a plus. There's nothing outstanding and nothing terrible, but I'd recommend at least giving it a try.
(3)Gaz H.
The restaurant is a consistent performer. The kitchen stands out for excellent grill work, flavorful sides and the skillful pairing of sweet berry flavors with roasted red meats. I have eaten there often and almost always sit outside and order the daily specials. Servers and service are consistently pleasant and attentive. The restaurant accommodates small children. Go, enjoy, and tip big.

The one thing I continually look forward to whenever I visit my best friend is Bmore is SEAFOOD. That's all I want. And Regi's socked it to me! We waited quite awhile for a table for 3 on a Saturday night, so I would suggest a reservation. This place definitely has a cozy, warm, relaxed atmosphere with its dimmed lighting and dark decor. Really nice on a chilly fall night. If they have it, absolutely get the warm spiced wine. So so so so good. Just the right amount of warmth, spice and booze to get you relaxed. And the crab dip? I was expecting a ton of cheese with a few pieces of crab mixed in (like most places), but not so here. Picture this: warm, creamy, stringy cheeses mixed together in a bowl with lump crab the size of ping pong balls mixed in, with even MORE lump crab on top! The app couldn't have been more than $12 and it was phenom. But of course, a shared crab app was definitely not enough to satisfy my seafood craving, so I ordered the shrimp and crab pasta. Honestly, I ate two bites of the pasta - it was a horrible addendum to the magnificent lump crab and jumbo shrimp on the plate. The pasta was cooked fine, but there's nothing worse than a chef that doesn't know how to properly cook pasta with a white wine sauce - it just laid in the bottom of the bowl and left the stringy pieces of carbs unflavored. Not good and definitely not needed in the dish. Next time, I'm seriously considering ordering the shrimp and crab pasta - without the pasta. But overall, I got what I wanted and then some. My friends really enjoyed their specials they ordered - a salmon and some other catch of the day. The bill was reasonable and the service was decent. Definitely stop in if you're in town!

We loved this place. The bar was crowded and we almost turned around and left but, thankfully, we didn't. Despite a long line waiting for a table, we were seated at the time on our reservation. Our server was great, knew the menu, and also friendly and engaging. The bartender was good too - never saw him/her - but the drinks were great. This was a rare find (a couple had recommended it to us and we tried it out). My steak was excellent and so was everything that came with the meal. It is busy, so make a reservation.
(5)John G.
Always consistently great Americana food.
(4)Meredith J.
I've been going here for breakfast for a few years and my only complaint is that the menu has never changed. Though I am one of those people who likes consistency, something new would be helpful. The tots with bacon and cheese is delicious. I also like the eggs benedict and the california breakfast wrap. My favorite part of the meal, though, is always the warm muffins when you sit down. It's a nice place, but I also think it's a bit pricy. There are other places that are close, have good food, and are better priced.

Nice ambiance, yummy food, a neighborhood gem! After two visits to Regi's I'd say I'm a very happy customer and will go back when I'm in Balto looking for a bite. I'm highly unlikely to order the tater tots or crabcakes since I'm not a fan of either, but the rest of the menu is great. It was not crowded either time I went, so we were seated quickly and the service was great. Last night I had the best turkey burger ever! It's tasty and spicy, all white meat, no filler. It's normally on the lunch menu and I'd seen it mentioned online, so when it wasn't on the dinner menu I asked and they prepared it. The Thanksgiving turkey sandwich was huge and delicious as well. The warm spiced wine made for a nice addition and a seasonal autumn cocktail was great (rum + cider + drunken cranberries). The bar area was very crowded during a Saturday afternoon football game but the rest of the place was quiet, which was nice. Ample street parking was available but I'd imagine that's not the case at all during peak periods.

I was quite content with the Thai Salad with Chicken that I ordered, but those that I dined with were very disappointed in their meals. Service was slow and we were charged for someone's more expensive bill. It was rectified in the end, but cost us another 15+ minutes when we were trying to get out and about.

On a crowded Friday night, we were seated right away using open table for reservations. My folks had the crab soup, a fish entree and two of us had crab cakes. Great food, good service, festive atmosphere. I would dine here again.

Still a great place that has not lost a step. Had a reservation on Saturday night. Waded through the bar and had to wait a few minutes for a table. After that, the evening was perfect. We split two appetizers, tater tots and lobster Mac and cheese. Both we outstanding. For dinner, two had monster salads which were great and a crab cake and pork tenderloin. All were well executed and delicious. It had been some time since I was there, but it has not lost a step and is worth considering seriously for a Saturday night out.

Regi's is on the pricer side for my budget, but whenever I go for Sunday brunch I leave full and happy. I love their twisted chicken club sandwich and anything with pulled pork. They omelets are also big and delicious. If you get their early enough you can get muffins instead of bread brought to your table, but they run out fast! I recommend getting a reservation as this is a popular spot, and try to sit outside if possible. It is quieter and in the warm weather you can people watch the Fed Hill crowd. In the winter the outside is encased in plastic covering and heated, and so is still pretty nice

Went hear last night before a show at the 8x10. Some highlights were the Tater Tots with bacon and goat cheese, fried jalepeno deviled eggs and the veal meatballs. I made the mistake of ordering a burger, instead of the recommended seafood dishes, and it was so dry, I quit after 2 bites. The bartenders was really cool and saw I didn't eat it and brought us out another Veal meatball and bought us a drink. I'd go back just to give it another try and order something else besides a burger.... especially in the summer as they have outside seating.

My fiance and ate dinner here while we were visiting Baltimore and loved it! Definitely some of the best food we've enjoyed in a long time! We started with their grilled Caesar Salad. The romaine hearts were grilled just enough to make the salad warm, but not so much that the lettuce was wilted- tough task. The heat made the cheese even tastier- I definitely recommend this salad. Next, I ordered the Ancho-rubbed Pork Tenderloin which came with mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. The pork was juicy, flavorful, and cooked beautifully. The veggies and potatoes were the perfect compliment to the roasted pork. My man ordered the Salmon and pasta dish (both of these were seasonal specials, I believe). I'm not a fish person, but he loved it! I was slightly taken aback when the owner trotted out of the kitchen holding a whole Salmon to show our neighboring table how fresh the fish was- pointing out its eyes, gills, etc. Not really appetizing... This restaurant appears to be in an old house, so it's a little cramped. You sit very close to your neighbors, so be sure you are feeling friendly! I wish I lived in Baltimore so that we could eat here again! It was a little on the expensive side but was worth the one-time splurge.

Everything was delicious and the service was fantastic. The Brie and bacon tater tots (with or without crab on top) is a must eat.

Amazing burgers and salads really nice place to sit in with friends and loved ones. Our waiter Chris was really friendly we took his opinions on food and ordered. We really enjoyed our time there

I love the ambiance of Regi's. It seems like it used to be two row-homes with very different styles that have now been united by the forces of the universe to be what is now Regi's. So in my opinion, the restaurant has two very unique styles which is really neato. I like the dining area of the restaurant, it has a fireplace & always has fresh, beautiful flowers and makes me feel like I am at a cozy house of a friend. The menu always has some unique options on it and I have never ordered anything I didn't love. I think the quality of the food is top notch and the prices are very reasonable (everything I've ever ordered has been under $15). I really appreciate that they have creative new things on their menu but never overly crazy either. If you have friends or family in town visiting and want to bring them somewhere awesome but not overly pricey, this place is a sure bet!

Wrap was good though the fries didn't look appetizing or taste all that great. I came here to try the cronut which was decent but nothing I would rave about. Or stand in line for (the cronuts in NYC must be out of this world or something!).

(2)Marye I.
I'd give this place 4 or 5 stars if they brought their prices down about 10-20%. It's a nice atmosphere, tasty food, friendly service - just too expensive.
(3)Panda B.

(2)Timmy C.
(3)Tori H.
(4)Chelly W.
(3)Margo K.
Very slow service for a Friday night. We were promised a table in 15 minutes and no one ever came out to seat us, 50 minutes later, we were finally seated. The food was good, the waitress compted our dessert. I highly recommend making a reservation for this quaint little bistro in Baltimore.
(1)Steve F.
Tots were excellent but took an hour to arrive. We waited an additional 45 minutes for our entrees. This is the second and last bad meal I will eat here. NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR WAIT. There are plenty of great places to eat in Baltimore, this is not one of them.
(2)Meredith M.
(4)Cat B.
(4)A J.
(4)Betty H.
(5)Jessica L.

(5)Emgy M.
Made me a tuna steak sandwich even though they took it off of the menu without even batting an eye. Waitress was great and on top of everything. A nice place to escape from the usual fed hill crowd. My friend had the salmon special- with strawberry sauce and it was a unique but great combination.

My girlfriend had the twisted chicken sandwich and the chicken had obviously been cooked before and then reheated in the microwave. The texture of the chicken was rubbery and pretty much inedible. The menu also described that the sandwich had guacamole on it but there was none to be found.

I love love love this place! Best alcoholic beverages made with fresh fruit and strong! Food is equally fresh! Innovative menu relies on local products. Bartenders are friendly and when owner is there he greats all his guest personally!

(3)Ryan J.

(4)Amber K.
Hmmm
(3)Jen L.
(4)Helen C.

(5)Emily A.
Fantastic spot for brunch, great outdoor seating. I had the crab omelet and Bloody Mary. The tator tot app was sooo good as well!!

Fantastic service!! Tricia especially was so wonderful. Friendly and attentive service from Tricia all night, felt so at home!
(5)Aileen P.
Came here for the cronut knockoff. Not what I expected but the salmon salad was very tasty
(3)Anna F.
(2)Xani P.
(2)Sheryl M.

(5)J. Burke M.

(1)Cindy M.
(3)Meemz I.
(5)Caroline S.
(2)Jeff B.
Great food...lots of dishes to chose from. and Services was great.

Always wonderfully prepared food with large portions and fresh ingredients. Whether brunch or dinner, family or date, you'll never go wrong. Everything from the drinks to the service, absolutely one of my favorites.
