Don't think they can manage food for 15 people. My first clue was seeing the rat run across the patio area, but I let that go because of the restaurant's location. Ultimately the food came out... Fries were cold, steak was... I don't know what it was! Peter's may be good for a small group, couple, or individual, however, no one was satisfied in my party. Very disappointing!!!

We were looking for a place to watch the World Cup final off the beaten tourist path of the Inner Harbor, and this fit the bill. Just a few blocks off the harbor in an unassuming alley lies Peter's Pour House. I've never been to Boston, but if I were to describe a stereotypical "Bahston" guy, it would have been our server. Nice, but without any extra charm - very to the point. I liked the interior a lot, full of brick and wood, it felt like a legitimate local's bar. We both had the crab cake sandwiches which were priced at $15 and included some of the better fries we've had. They had some beer specials too, 32oz Natty Boh for just $5 - others available for a slightly higher price depending on your selection. Not too crowded, enjoyable food and good beer specials make for a good experience and our "Bahston" server gave the place a unique feel. I'd go back! 4 stars.

Poorly managed. Only had one employee working the entire bar and dining areas. Food came out cold and over cooked. Patio is in an alley where the nearby building are under construction so it doesn't make for a good view, unless you like homeless persons and rats.

My husband and I are staying at the Hampton Inn Inner Harbor and stopped in to Peter's Pour House this evening. It was really convenient, since it is right around the corner from the hotel. Lauren and Hannah were really nice and provided great service. We had read about the crab cakes on Yelp and had to try them. We ordered the crab cake platter and steamed shrimp to share along with red wine and beer. The reviews are no exaggeration...it was all delicious! We would definitely recommend and hope to come back sometime.

Old time city bar. Good selection of local drafts. Good burgers and a friendly staff. I had never been there before and they made me feel welcome. Food is "simple" and that's not a bad thing. Burgers nachos etc. grab a seat and watch the Orioles with friendly locals

Not too bad lunch experience. We went for the crab cake sandwich. The crab cake itself is slightly smaller than expected, the fries was good. Overall, the food can be less oily. But I have to say the service was excellent and the staffs were very friendly. Ended up spending $22 including tips.

Peter's is conveniently located. I walked ten minutes in the snow, and it was worth it. The service was good. It is definitely a place where locals come -- I felt like I lived here! I ordered the crab platter. The crab cakes were very tasty! I wish they had had an option to only get one crab cake though (two was a little much). I recommend it!

Extremely convenient location for the two hotels, it's just down one short dark street and it's the place that doesn't look like much. Friendly service, a great cheeseburger, inexpensive beer. What's not to love? Several TV's tuned to the local sports channels and you can expect this place to fill up quickly after the game (Ravens or Orioles) ends. The place is open quite late, but the food service ends at 11pm.

We were back in Baltimore for the holiday weekend and were so glad that Peter's was open as some other places in the area were closed. I ordered an Orange Crush, as I always do while in Baltimore, and a black bean burger with cheese, tomatoes, and jalapeÃ±os along with fries. I've had tons of veggie and black bean burgers and Peter's did not disappoint. It was cooked perfectly, not dried out like other places and came with the delicious fries. The waitress was also very attentive with our drinks and made sure to check in on us after we got our food. Another great meal at Peter's!

I love Peter's. We ordered the Surf &Turf ,Buffalo wings, and some appetizers. The best thing in Peter's is you can hear the songs by the band: Wasted Gravity.

Very good burgers until pretty late and awesome staff. It is a great place to go in Baltimore, at least compared to the Waterfront Cheesy and expensive restaurants and bars. Would definitely recommend.

Happy hour, (2) beers (resurrection and a brown ale) - $14.50 or something. 3/4 full plastic cup. Cool? Not really that busy, bartender was nice. Said she'd be right w me, proceeded to take like (3) regular customers orders who got her attention with a wave - and wash pint glasses, before she came back to me. Couldn't hide the dissatisfaction w/ that type of service (through mannerism not words-6 min is "right w/ you" in a non-busy bar?- I dunno) and she couldn't either basically. It's hard to tip much on top of two plastic cup 3/4 filled beers served 6 min after you'd be right w/me, for $15. TouchÃ© Anywhere around the block is basically a better call unless you are tight w/ the bartenders.

Got a tex mex burger it was pretty good. Service was great. Pound (.454 kg) shrimp was off the charts. Waitresses were pretty, nice and very attentive but not too attentive. Literally came three days in a row. Loved the gravy, perfect for fries as well as my grilled ham and cheese.

Well the cheap drinkers are obviously the ones driving the reviews here....cheap beer does not make for good food. Cold fries, cold crab cakes and canned chili. Nice patio though, we had a great view of the rats. Not the ones who scurry away out of sight. Raton was willing to sit and watch us. Wow! A rat in its natural habitat only 15' away. Wowsers! That was a dining pleasure!

This place is why the term "hidden gem" was invented. It is down a little alley, and totally blends in. I have a feeling they kind of like it that way. With the downtown area being so busy, it is nice to find a "local's spot". They have a normal bar menu, but the chicken wings are way above average. Please order the wings covered in old bay. I am a former Buffalo area resident, and I am telling you the skip the Buffalo style and order old bay. It is amazing. The crab cake sandwich was excellent. Our food took a while to come out, but the bartender/waitress apologized and gave my husband a free beer. The beers are served in 32oz plastic cups, and are super cheap. Another reason to go off the beaten path. I don't want to forget the fries! They are crispy, and crunchy. Oh, the fries! The music may get loud, but they have a patio if you prefer.

Small, cozy atmosphere with a nice outdoor seating area. Secondly off the beaten path, so it doesn't seem as tourist-y as some other nearby restaurants. Great food with good portions. My fiance and I had the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and the Cincinnati Joe, which were both fantastic. I also had a 32 oz Yuengling for about $6. The waitress and hostess were both very attentive without being overbearing. I will definitely visit again.

I have to say that Hannah C. Is the best waitress/bartender/bus person ever! She has totally taken care of my wife and I on Valentine's Day! We came to Baltimore for a vacation and this has been the highlight of our trip so far! Whomever owns this joint should keep her at all cost. We left fat, dumb (I had the Tell Tale 32oz) and very happy.

Staying at they Hyatt and it's only about a 5 minute walk. Carl at the bar is great to talk to and really good service. Great, food, great selection of beer on tap, and decently priced. Not to mention they play really good music too!

Stopped here for brunch because it was one of the few places open while we waited for our runners during the marathon. Our service was pretty slow and some of our food was cold. It wasn't the best brunch place I have been in the area.

The 32 oz beers for $5 is legit. They let you get 'better' beers... Ambers and lagers. The fries are nice and crunchy! The burger was a little over cooked...I got medium well when I ordered medium, but still tasted good.

Pretty low key bar. Has a 1980s feel with a 2014 jukebox. Great customer service and I love that's drinks are served in mason jars. I didn't give it 5 only because it didn't blow my mind.

What a great find ... literally around the corner from the hotel we were at (Residence Inn). Karaoke was blaring upstairs so we ended up going downstairs which was more our speed (pool table, dart boards, nice full bar, couches, TVs ... they even had a table shuffleboard - haven't seen one of these in years). Very nice pours on all the drinks. Great pepperoni pizzas for those late night munchies.

While the food was fairly average the service was some of the worst I have ever had. My steak sandwich came out as a tuna sandwich and when they took it back it was over 40 minutes before I received the correct order. Water street is a very pleasant place to get a meal, but everyone should go to the water street tavern right up the street.

I went here with a co-worker for lunch today. It's within walking distance of the office and we ran into other co-workers with the same idea. On my co-worker's recommendation I had the burger. She had a cheeseburger. The burger and fries were both delicious! Super crispy fries and perfectly cooked beef, which is pretty much all you need on a Friday lunch break. Very comfortable place to hang out also. I'd be curious to see what the evening/weekend crowd is like since it's probably different that the office dwellers of the weekday lunch. I'll definitely be back!

Amazingly nice people that helped us find a great breakfast place because they didn't serve breakfast. They called to ensure the breakfast place was open and the owner walked us half way to the new place to ensure we didn't get lost.

Peter's pour house was a great experience. It is the perfect neighborhood bar to grab a few drinks. Our bartender Carl was personable and knowledgeable. While we did not order any food, what was being served looked fantastic. Will definitely be back next time we are in Baltimore.

Typical bar fare (although a little overpriced for my taste). There are delicious fries with the option of adding gravy and wiz... yum! That's one way to my heart. This was a lunch trip and the service was quick and attentive. The folks at the bar were loud but friendly... they were having quite the debate about labor unions but were kind enough to apologize for being loud. No worries guys. It was rather entertaining. Didn't get to drink any beers but I can't see having a hard time with $5 32oz beers. I see others talking of a beer garden. I hope to have a chance to stop by for that on one of my many work trips to the city.

Went there on Mother's Day weekend...8 adults 9 children(between the ages of 2-9). Our waitress was gracious and accommodating considering how many people were in our party. We had the entire 2nd floor to ourselves! This place is definitely kid friendly :o) The food was great! Hands down one of the best crab cakes I've eaten (and I've been up and down the East Coast). We basically ordered crab cakes, nachos, buffalo wings, burgers, chicken tenders, fries...ALL OF IT GOOD! 32oz. Beer for $5...need I say more?....Not. Go here, ya' won't be disappointed.

Excellent crab cakes and the best deal on beer in the city. Great atmosphere with super nice bartender/staff. As a southern guy I was treated like a local and I appreciated that. Atmosphere is like the TV show Cheers - in real life. Went back the next day and will again on my next visit the Baltimore.

Loved Peter's Pour House. Found it on Mapquest when we were searching places to eat downtown during the Baltimore Grand Prix. Hidden at the end of Water Street it was worth going to three nights in a row. The Race crowds hadn't seemed to discover it yet ( good for us, bad for Peter's I guess), so we were able to sit and relax for a while. Food and drinks were delivered quickly and the bar tenders were friendly. The food is, well, bar food. Nothing to write home about, except the Grilled Cheese was huge and yummy. Perfect comfort food. For the love of God, watch the front steps. Big, tall, Original stone carved steps are Not drunk friendly.

We sat outside on a beautiful day for lunch and the service and food were great. My co-worker and I ordered 2 of the specials that day, tomato stuffed with shrimp salad served with hard boiled egg and provolone cheese and a steak sandwich with fries. Both sounded so good we decided to split them. Everything was delicious and a good value for the quality of food. I would have given 5 stars but the tea didn't taste as fresh as I would have liked. We will be back!

Peters has been marinating the livers of Balmer's financial world forever. Preakness bands and warm spring evenings make for a jumping outside beer garten on the cobblestone Water Street. Beer trucks, chicas slinging 32oz domestic drafts outside, young fellas casting pick up lines, and outdoor charity gambling tables spell Friday happy hour in the summer. Solid tuna melts, old bay shrimp salad platters, crab cakes, and hot turkey gravy sammichs are loaded with always crispy fries. The wingtip set shares knowing glances with other patrons who cram the business lunch every work day. Try to get a seat for lunch during March madness! Peters can be dead in the winter evenings, but it does not go into complete hibernation. A diverse crew of business types grabbing a pop before the journey to the burbs, guests of the surrounding hotels lucky enough to get a tip to come to Peters, and knowing locals who work the good jukebox and cheap spirits find a warm respite from the cold doldrums. The first crack of the O's bat ushers in outdoor drinking season, and Peters will be there for you.

This was my second trip to Peter's. My second trip did not disappoint. My friends and I were staying in the Hampton Inn a few steps away. We visited Peter's on a Saturday night from 10:30-2:00. The bar was fairly empty but they did have a great juke box and the infamous 32 oz domesitcs for 5.00. The bartender was very friendly. If you can survive the steps to make it down to the restroom you will have a quality evening. This is definately an off the beaten path bar. If we are staying in Baltimore I would definately return and recommend this to anyone looking for a bar to chill in and have a few drinks. After an hour they treat you like a regular that has been there for years!

$4-32oz. Miller Lite & Yuengling drafts Do I really need to continue? I literally stumbled upon this little place tucked up in Mercer St. while I was street hiking with some friends a few summers ago. You can't really see this place by car because when driving south on Light St. it is tucked up behind your blind side as you pass it. Great little alleyway outdoor seating in the summertime. Kinda strange. The outdoor seating is like where 4 alleys converge with tall buildings blocking out all the sun. Great little off beat spot if your in the area. Bartenders have always been cool and easy going. Conversation is easy to come by here too. Check it out if you can find it.

Don't expect much from this pub except for beer and friendly service. I stopped in after conference and hat a decent bowl of chicken gumbo and a couple pints of Fat Tire. I saw one guy placing his third 32 ounce Yuengling into two other empties (plastic cups) - they're only five bucks!!

Stopped by for a quick lunch, their crab cake sandwich was surprisingly decent though steamed shrimps were too salty. Kind of strange, seasoned on the outside but with shells on. Good service and clean bathroom. Can't ask for much more for a quick road trip stop.

Overpriced, pedestrian food. My $9.95 garden salad was comprised of small bowl of ice-berg, two green pepper slices, a few pieces of sliced tomatoes. Originally ordered with tuna which was literally nothing more than plain, canned and apparently undrained tuna atop. Looked so unappetizing I immediately sent back and asked for shrimp salad. When that arrived, it was a small scoop of bland - but fresh - salad atop the same sized salad. For that, I was charged an additional $6.95. That's right, $17 for what should have been a small lunch entree for half that amount. Asked for crackers and was given handful of stale, cellophane wrapped saltines. Classy with a 'K'. Conversation with both owner and server that this was disproportionate yielded a nominal reduction in bill ($3 off) and little satisfaction. Shame on me for not reading the menu prices more carefully. As I told Peter - the owner - I will not return. There are too many great lunch spots in Baltimore worth your time and money. For $1 more - give me the $18 lobster salad on field greens with champagne dressing and fresh rolls at Capitol Grille anyday of the week.

This place will not let you down if you are looking for a social, outdoors 5pm happy hour after work. Located on the corner of a cobble-stone alley, Peters provides a great place to chat outside with a 32oz. beer for $4. The bartenders are friendly, the atmosphere is great, and on Fridays you can play some roulette or blackjack (all benefits go to the UMMS Shock Trauma). It's a great place to bring a large group of friends to relax and enjoy a couple drinks. I would not recommend ordering food if you are a food snob, as their foods are limited to a basic bar menu. Overall, everyone seemed really happy to be there! I will definitely be going back to this place for happy hour.
