I came here for my boyfriend's birthday around 2 pm for lunch. The place was pretty dead yet our waiter didn't even show up to the table until 10 minutes after we were seated. He didn't seem too bothered by his tardiness and casually said "sorry bout that." He took our drinks, appetizer, and entree orders. After 10 minutes we still didn't have our beers yet he brought us our appetizer. I asked him to bring the beer and he just glared at me and then brought the beer another 5-10 mins later. During our whole service the waiter was nowhere to be found, yet everyone else's was clearly active and checking on their customers. I saw our's off in the corner talking on his cell phone (?!) and loudly goofing off with his coworkers when we didn't even have any water. I'm normally not one to complain, but I told the manager about the horrible service we were having for no apparent reason and she just said "it was unlike him." ...was he on drugs or something? He came back to our table finally and gave another pathetic "sorry bout that." Yet he clearly didn't know what he was sorry for. He brought us the check and after I put the cash in he never came back to give me my change. I got the hostess and she said that our waiter told her we had already paid. I said "why would he not give me my change back?" It was only supposed to be around 20 cents but if he didn't give it to me it's technically stealing. After that, she came back over to me with a $1. What?? How hard is it to give correct change? Needless to say, do NOT come to this location. It seems like nobody takes there job even remotely seriously. You'll be way more satisfied somewhere else.

The food here is on the better side of what I've had as far as "Chinese" food goes, but my one qualm with this place is the food is just so ridiculously salty pretty much across the board. And I mean salty even relative to other "Chinese" food, which I know is generally salty. Aside from the saltiness I can't complain about how tasty the food is, though sometimes I feel like the place is a bit of a glorified version of a standard carry-out Chinese place that charges a bit more for the ambience. This location has very good service most of the time though, which is a huge plus if you're going for lunch during a business day. One funny thing I've noticed is that their menu changes a lot.

Terrible service. Don't come here if you want good service.

While visiting Inner Harbor my wife was hit with a lettuce wrap and Asian food craving. We elected to sit at the bar since the dining room was a little busy at lunch time. The bartender made our drinks well and took the orders correctly. Orange peel beef, Singapore street noodles, and the wraps. It took about 5 minutes for the wraps and another 7 after that for the meals. Everything was tasty and hot. The beef was a tad on the spicy side which is why the little symbol was next to it's name on the menu. Our drinks were kept filled, and the plates removed shortly after being emptied, 2 plus sides of sitting at a bar for dinner. Not a bad experience, just a little spendy for what you get.

I may not a chinese food expert, but I can say I've eaten the best fried rice over there.

I visited the inner harbor location today with my friend during lunch and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Let me preface this with telling you that I outrageously patient and never complain. We arrived a little before 12:30, placed our order and got a bowl of soup 45 minutes later (my soup spoon was covered in the soup and my fingers got all sticky). We were irked that it took so long; we had watched tables arrive and receive there main dishes while we were waiting. about 10-15 minutes later, we got our appetizers. We waited another 15-20 minutes before I got up and asked to speak to a manager. The manager came our table and we asked how long it would be before we got our main dish. She said it usually takes about 20 minutes and that we were still working on our appetizers (which were all gone), making it seem like it was our fault. We explained that we were on a lunch break and that it was pushing two hours and we still hadn't gotten our meal. She told us that she would go check on our food and huffed away without so much as an apology. We waited and waited (and waited) and we finally told our waiter to just pack up our food because we had to leave. He then brought us the check and the manager dropped the packed food at our table without and thank you or a sorry of any kind. Both my friend and I were looking forward to eating there today and were extremely disappointed. We were in shock that the manager first blamed us for the food running late, and then never coming back to apologize or check up on us. Never again will I visit that PF Changs.

PF Changs always rocks! The downtown location is tricky... unless you can walk from a nearby hotel, you'll most likely have to pay to park in a garage but thats part of city life. PF Changs favorites incluce: hot & sour soup, lettuce wraps (of course), mongolian beef, Changs spicy chicken & those little desserts in shot glasses. Last time there our waiter was fantastic and our busboy/expediter was horrible. Good sized portions for the money as well.

Had never eaten at PF Changs and decided to try it here. Was very disappointed. Rather greasy noodle dish. Bland shrimp with lobster sauce dish. Have had much better elsewhere and we eat a lot of Chinese. Stick with small Asian restaurants, not chains. Service was just okay but not stellar, either.

I went here for a Mother's Day dinner with my boyfirend and his parents. We made reservations (although not needed, it wasn't too crowded) and were seated quickly at a booth/table (chairs and comfy couchlike side). Our server was nice and we ordered drinks and appetizers. He also brought us waters. The next rounds of drinks did not come out as fast. The server seemed way too busy and forgetful. That was the only negative thing about our experience. The appetizers we ordered, fried green beans and chicken lettuce wraps, were DELICIOUS. I don't even like green beans and I couldn't stop eating them! Our food came out afterward and it was also good. My bf's mom got duck which had a strange blueberry sauce on it which wasn't for our taste but she like it! We both got excellent sesame chicken which I'd highly recommend. His dad ordered lamb which was also good. Excellent food all around, nice portions and not very expensive. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu, just hope the server is a bit more attentive next time.

Worst PF we've been to. Arriving at 1140, just 10 minutes after opening, with maybe 5 tables filled, we get seated at back booth which is halfway in the kitchen?? Really???? Request to sit somewhere else was not an issue, but thanks for the first impression. Orders taken quick. Soup was lukewarm, and certainly was a few days old. Fried rice had clumps of unstirred white rice in it. Seems we hit this at the wrong time. Hostess probably figured she'd get the worst table out of the way quick and the kitchen wasn't all the way up when the doors open. Two strikes = two stars

Typical chain restaurant. Service very slow. But our waiter was nice so i guess he just had too many tables. Veggie lettuce wraps are delicious. They had happy hour special good drink prices. This location of PF Changs very crowded.

Bland chinese food, minimal portions, overpriced, and sub-par service. This place is overrated. I prefer one of the smaller Chinese take-out joints in the area.

Service was awesome but food was mediocre at best. Ordered the General Tso's chicken and it was just to sweet and the rice was overcooked.

So family style is definitely recommended for this restaurant if you have a big group. My FAV dish is the Mongolian Beef, and those chicken lettuce wraps are pretty good too. I was also a fan of the Hot Fish. So here's my review, short and sweet: The Good: Tasty tasty food. We ordered 5 dishes and not one bland dish! The whole mixture of the sauces they show you before the meal is brought out is a pretty unique trademark. The Bad: The tofu and double pan friend noodles were a bit on the salty side. And our server today was a bit awful - but I guess I can forgive her since she apologetically said it was her 3rd day on the job. And I agree with Jess - this PF Chang's is a bit crowded.

Went here on a Thursday night. I've been waiting to go to a PF Chang's for a while now cause I'm a HUGE fan of asian food. I had the spicy chicken as suggested by the waiter as I didn't see the standard Gen Tso's chicken. It was bland. I also ordered the egg rolls thinking that they would knock my socks off....boy was I wrong. When I started trying to cook egg rolls at home, these are what my initial attempts tasted like- heavy on the ginger and oily. I picked at my meal and vow to never return to PF Changs.

Worst service ever. Food came out wrong, appetizers came out with entrees, zero refills. Manager had to come by twice and nothing was ever done. Worst.

They have a pretty good happy hour with discounted apps and drinks so that part is nice. Seating is pretty easy to find although they do take reservations. If youy are watching calories you should check out the nutritional menu before ordering. Skip the dumplings- they are a bit doughy. Everything else is has been pretty good though.

I went on a date and was unfortunately not that hungry at the time. We split a crab wonton appetizer (very fresh tasting). Fairly large portion of them, too. Comfortably split between two people (even ignoring lack of hunger). It came with a sauce that was really tasty. For entrees, we split two, the first being Philip's Better Lemon Chicken. The sauce was really heavy on the lemon and nothing else. I later had it for leftovers and it wasn't as strong (yay!). The second entree was Shrimp with Candied Walnuts. The honeydew melon with it is so good! Lots of good combinations of flavors in this, and I highly recommend it. Even good the next day. It's always packed, so you probably want reservations. We tried to go another time at 8 pm and were told there was about a 2 hour wait! The first time we managed to snag a little table right by the entrance (next to the bar), but I don't recommend it. Very drafty in the winter when we went and it's easy to feel out of the loop there. Decent service--we actually had a bartender who delivered our food and surprisingly provided the same information you would expect from an excellent server, so a pleasant surprise. Overall, I would go again, and I can't wait to try new dishes!

Very good service. Great location. Food is the usual PF Chang's fare. You get what you get. It's really dark inside, much like most Changs. The desserts are bad, don't try them -- as they aren't worth the price. We went here, 'cause it was the only decent thing open, when we got there late. I'm sure there are better options in the area to dine.

Is it too weird for a Chinese to visit this non-chinese Chinese restaurant? Is Baltimore just different from DC? The food is so so, not bland but it just feels like they put the wrong sauce in the stuff -- not up to par with the typical PF Chang, and the people are really not that friendly. I'll spend my money elsewhere.

  • Alisa K.

Not sure what to say. Been here twice -- to a Chicago location and this one. The calamari was soggy, the salmon dry, the noodle dishes bland. The desserts were the only good part. I really enjoyed the fried banana/coconut ice cream medley and the mini desserts that allow you to taste smaller portions of the bigger ones. Overall, however, this place does neither American nor Chinese food justice.

Went to couple Chang'.....all about the same....dark inside....food are really salty(they are not authentic Chinese food for sure).....dessert sucks....but service is good...

Had an early dinner on my way to the Lyric at PF Changs. We ate in the bar area and the waitress was very attentive andthe service was super fast. Ask for a seat bythe window so you can check out the light show around 6pm.

The place is ok.... I mean personally I like delivery chinese food better but for people that have never been to PF Chang's before, it is a treat.

Slow service when coming in, and to top it off the waitress was quite rude. I ordered fried dumplings, and got boiled dumplings, (so they had to fix that mistake).... I ordered shrimp fried rice, and specifically told them I am allergic to eggs, (yet I received plenty of eggs in my rice)... Next I ordered beef lo mein, and got shrimp in it.... And the noodles were not cooked, yet real sticky. To top it off, the waiter and the cook seemed to be in another world!!!! Hope for better service somewhere else!!!!

First location when i tried it so good, good deal for lunch and that's the reason i want give it shot again with my husband now in this location cause i thought it's same rest and they have standard flavor right. I went to this place after we (me and my husband) decided to stay for dinner package. Good service, and i'm so dissapointed with their veggie lettuce wrap... i love salty food but for this one too salty for both of us, they serve us with another one same menu but still to salty, and the end we wrap it to go. Other appetizer is calamary still salty (beyond to normal my opinion) but better than other. bout our main course our best fav is snow peas, for orange pill chicken was ok not impress me alot, and for pepper steak we both like it. My husband told me people who smoke have a bad smell and taste for the food (well my opinon there's a chance the cheff on this location not good enough cause maybe he/she smoke, or he/she not good enough). Will i try again in this rest in diff location ?? can't give you this answer yet cause still hunting bout the salty food.

You have to try the Chang's Lobster Fried Rice! It's really good - ordered it today together with Kung Pao Chicken and Chicken Lettuce Wrap. I'm giving this place 3 stars because after almost 4 years of patronizing this place, the best tasting dishes we've got were just from the last 2 visits only. They must have a NEW chef! If not, I would've rated it a 2. Over the years, the service and food were nothing great! They were mostly disappointing. Why do we still go to this place? Answer: The location is very convenient as it is right at the Inner Harbor/E. Pratt area. My husband and I also have had issues with the service staff a couple of times in the past - mistake with our orders, rude/unprofessional staff, very long waiting time, etc. Obviously it reflects the overall rating for this restaurant. Having said that, the last two most current visits both from the month of August were satisfactory. One was dine-in and the other one was for takeout. I wanted to make sure that I post a review and give credit to two excellent servers Veronica and Darryl. Friendly, polite, professional and just the kind of people PF Chang's should be hiring. Veronica was very pleasant, she assisted us with our orders, gave suggestions about the menu/new items. She made sure throughout our dinner that we were being taken care of. Darryl was polite, professional and thorough. It was evident that he's knowledgeable about his work. There were 5 of us waiting to order/pick up our food and he was able to handle everyone with ease. I will be back and I look forward to writing an updated review - hopefully a 4 or 5 star next time. We're happy with the improvements!

Food always comes out hot. It's not the most flavorful of Asian cuisine, but when you add the casual upbeat vibe and decent service it's an enjoyable dining experience. I will say that it is a little more expensive than it needs to be.

Love this place! Has all the classic Chinese dishes and a great selection of cocktails, wines, and beers. We had Kate as our server and she was fantastic! Very knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. We opted to do the changs for two which was only $40 for 4 course meal! Practically a steal. I opted for the Chang's spicy chicken on Kate's recommendation and my date had the kung pao shrimp both of which were delicious. For our appetizer we had the chicken lettuce wraps which were mouth watering. I enjoyed the egg drop soup and my date had the hot and sour both of which were great. For dessert we had the cream cheese wontons. The cocktails are not to be skipped here. I opted for the mai tai and a spiked lemon tea and my date had local beers. I will definitely be coming back again and again.

No star, hate this place bad bad service didn't offer me table just cause they didn't want to clean it. GOOD FOOD BAD SERVICE. If your able combine these two I don't think you'r in the right industry

While we walk in, the greeter was so friendly. That's always a positive when walking into a restaurant. Unfortunately, our waitress was not that friendly. Maybe she should stay behind the bar and stick to bartending. Anyway, our food was great. The sushi, not so much - they need to take it off the menu cause someone who is not Asian is clearly not making them. I give them 2 stars down because of the waitress and my sushi, I mean really - how are you gonna have an Asian restaurant with terrible sushi.

I should have known the quality had went down when I went in at prime dinner time (8pm on Friday) and only 6-7 tables were filled. My party of four ordered appetizers, drinks, main courses and desserts. All the food was extra greasy. The two chicken dishes were horrible and tasteless. I am a P. F. Chang loyal customer in Las Vegas and VA. This place should not bear the name compared to the others. Corporate need to secret shop the Baltimore P. F. Chang to see the low customer count and sample the food best on corporate standards. I have had better inter-city Chinese take than what we were served. I will only return if Corporate comes in with better cooks and revamp current staff. By the way no problem with service so still left a 20% tip./

Great Staff. The food taste is totally different from the PF changs in Columbia and Rockville. If you are going here expecting the same taste that you are use to... you are in for a surprise. Just as example i ordered the chicken lettuce wraps and the chicken was burnt and also gave me a bad after taste of pork !!?? i have no clue how pork got mixed. I will not be going to this place again.

Service is horrible. Food is very good. We sat for ten minutes before someone came over to us. We constantly were waiting for server to help us. Our drinks were always empty. Dirty dishes on table. No one seemed to care. The servers seemed very nice. Ruined whole lunch experience. May I add, there were only six other tables.

I have been to PF Changs before many times at different locations and always had good experience with food and service. Food was delicious here too and our waiter was a nice guy. There was one other waitress which was little weird. My husband stood up from his place and he was standing that waitress almost slapped him on his back!! Then she came later and poked me hard in my rib area from the side!! Wanted me to move my chair forward. She could have gone around the table!! I didn't like this behavior and want the management to tell their staff not to poke and slap there guests!

Hot location for tourist , food is average ! Reception is always helpful , only problem is parking in this street by the inner harbor ,you may have a long way from the car garage !

  • Glenn S.

Went here for lunch with a few people from work. The staff/service was excellent, no problems there. The food, however, was just a little off. I expected PF Changs to be really really good Chinese food but I feel like I could have gotten better Chinese at a local carry out. The egg drop soup literally tasted as well had the consistency of chicken noodle soup. The fried rice had a good flavor but it was like they tried to make fried rice out of fresh hot white rice. You can always judge a restaurant by its fried rice! The Mongolian beef was actually very good, I was just expecting a little more I guess. I might be back if someone wanted to go but other than that I just don't see myself going back.

    (2)
  • Christopher C.

You know what you get at a PF Chang's - solid but not spectacular Asian fusion that is a little pricy. At least the lunch specials introduce a small soup. Mongolian Beef is always a safe bet. Love the potstickers. Restaurant was fairly empty for lunch hour and the service was slowwwww. I felt like our waitress disappeared for a bit 2.5 stars

  • Kaitlyn H.

I am a little surprised at how many reviews comment about poor service. My husband and I just tried this place last night and we had great service. Drinks were refilled before we even asked. Our food came out quickly and it was pretty tasty. Certainly not the best food I've ever had, but definitely a good solid meal. I didn't think the prices were that high considering the restaurant is in inner harbor. We would definitely go back.

Gross inside . Usually stop at Pf Changs to get a quick bite , usually decent food . This place is totally mismanaged and really dirty . It's a shame , most of Changs are clean . Won't be returning to this one . :-(

Such an improvement Chef, Charles Wynn, came out and greeted us, recommended dishes and made sure the manager Amy took care of us. That kind if service was exemplary!!!! TERRIBLE SERVICE So my noodles were delicious and everything was fine until after we were done. I waited for my server to come out and after patiently waiting 30mins (with her nowhere to be seen), I asked two other servers to send my server to my table (if they saw her). It's a plausible request, considering the amount of time I had already waited. Was there a "don't serve Asians" at the door? Because both servers (a male and female) BLATANTLY IGNORED me! It wasn't until i SHOUTED "excuse me" that the girl finally looked my way. Oh and her attitude! The girl gave me such attitude for calling her over, you would have thought I asked for rice imported from China. Also it was apparent that the male had heard me too because the moment my server came out, he signaled my table to her. I mean how could he have not heard me? I said excuse me at least 20 times, in varying tones! Sure, call me crazy, insane but to type out every detail is a bit tiring so maybe it seems the story seems like I'm being picky on one tiny detail. One thing is for sure, I'll come back when all the servers learn some manners...meaning NEVER.

I've heard so many good things about P. F. Chang's China Bistro chains all across the nation, but my experience here was underwhelming, in terms of food. I will point out that the service is phenomenal. We had a pretty large party of about 12 people, with people trickling in as the rainy night went on, and the restaurant and staff were able and very happy to accomodate to us (on Otakon weekend!,) even without a reservation. However, the food was another story. It wasn't terrible; it was just mediocre. I ordered the Coconut Curry Vegetables off of the Vegetarian Plates menu, and it was extremely bland. It literally just tasted like steamed vegetables and tofu. There seemed to be no spices or flavoring whatsoever. Fortunately, before the meal started, our waiter provided the table with an array of different spices and sauces to garnish our dishes with, which I--and everyone at the table--ended up doing with gusto. Still, these additions only made my dish a little better. Overall, this P. F. Chang's is in a great, convenient location with extremely accomodating staff, but the food for my entire party was just mediocre Chinese food. Perhaps other locations have better food than this one, because I really would like to understand what all the hype is about.

Have always loved P.F. Changs but..... Baltimore's was the worse ever. We were wondering when we walked in the door why it was so quiet for 6:30 even on a Tuesday night. But after the slow, lousy service, dirty bar area, even a bottle of bleach under the bar which I'm thinking is totally not on the Health and Food regulation !!! The food was okay, my past experience with PF Chang's has been wonderful! My husband and I both walked out thinking it will be a while before we ever enter another. Sadly we have been in this Chain from Hawaii to the East coast. But Baltimore was a total turn off!!! They are in need of a total clean up and over haul of their staff and definitely their presentation.

Consistent service seem to have the process down. Have always started with the lettuce wraps and never have been disappointed. Try the eggplant usually piping hot and full of flavor

OK, so you're at a PF Chang's. You clearly are not expecting real Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, or any actual Asian food, right? I get that there's some lowest common denominator for chain Asian, and the food here is just fine. Had the Chang's Chicken Lettuce Wraps, nice mix of hot stir fry and cooling iceberg lettuce cups; Dynamite Shrimp, basically deep fried battered shrimp in Sriracha mayo (can't really mess that up can you); Dan Dan Noodles (oversalted, noodles overdone). As with all Americanized Asian food, overabundance of sugar in the dishes. I seriously cannot believe that someone would complain about terrible sushi at a PF Chang's, why on earth would you get sushi at a PF Chang's? For an Inner Harbor location, prices are just fine and the place is pretty family friendly, they'll let your rugrats throw food on the floor because you let them and not throw you out for it. That's some patience and diplomacy right there. Fine for a tourist trawling for something to eat with the family baggage in tow. You want real Asian food (pick an ethnicity any ethnicity) ask for somewhere else, but it's a great location to the Inner Harbor sights and won't break the bank.

Great food! My boyfriend and I were looking for a quick and easy place to eat during restaurant week before our concert started. I ordered the lettuce wraps, ginger chicken and caramel tart: AMAZING. I also got a fancy expensive glass of wine due to the three courses only being $20.00 so I decided to indulge a bit and it was a great decision. The only downfall was the "salad" my boyfriend ordered. It was gross and slimy--some sort of avocado salad on the restaurant week menu. If you don't order that salad, everything else is awesome =) Plus our server was great!

Had their hot and sour soup bowl for family, I have to admit was the best hot and sour soup!! Chicken fried rice was good though! Wanna give five star but fried rice deserves only four stars... Will go back again

Came here for the first time for my sisters bday. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and specifically asked for no onions in my food (I'm allergic) I was assured there wouldn't be any! I got my meal and realized I was chewing on a piece of onion. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed

I love PF Changs but this was my first and last time I will be dining at this location. I usually go to the location in Columbia but was already downtown. The service was good but the food was terrible. The brown rice was overcooked and the wonton soup was bland. Really? How does a china bistro mess up rive and wonton soup? To top it off, my regular dish which is the Mongolian Beef wasn't crispy at all. I should have driven back to Columbia. Thumbs Down!

  • Nina U.

Yes I'm giving P.F. Chang's 5 stars. I usually like P.F. Chang's for their Happy Hour prices (street dim sum, crispy string beans and chicken lettuce wraps). But today I loved P.F. Chang's. I discovered some new favs and it was the best meal and experience I have ever had with them. First of all, weekday street parking was available. $2 per hour for 2 hour max = $4. Not bad in Bmore. No reservations needed on this Thursday afternoon since it wasn't busy yet. I am convinced this is the best time of day. Service was great. The dining area is just one big area. I prefer other restaurants with different floor plans- adds character but we got a booth that was comfy. And where are the big horses outside this restaurant? GINGER YUZU MOJITO. Excellent. My only complaint was that it wasn't big enough. FLAMING RED WON TONS. The won ton pi was just fine but the sauce was amazing. We ate all six won tons ($6) and savored every last drop of that sauce on our rice. Then we got the prix fix meal for two (1 appetizer, 2 soups, 2 entrees and 2 desserts for $39). - Egg Rolls (4 huge veggie ones) were good but these aren't particularly exciting. Plus they were overshadowed by the Flaming Red Won Tons. - Hot and Sour Soup was good but really thick almost like gravy. I was starving and still ate all of it - CRISPY HONEY CHICKEN is always a big favorite - BEEF BROCCOLI was even better than the Mongolian Beef everyone usually orders. It surprised me and I would definitely order this again! - Banana Spring Rolls (we opted for one big dessert instead of 2 small ones and paid an extra $3). It was like banana lumpia with pineapple coconut ice cream on the side and fresh berries on top. I would try the Great Wall of Chocolate instead next time. I think we needed more ice cream and the lumpia fried wrapper was a little much for me. I thought it was funny how they brought us serving sized spoons to eat this with....that's how I'm going to do it at home now. No reason to mess around with tablespoons that I usually use.

Ok for some reason my friend insisted on going to PF Chang's of all places in downtown Baltimore, so I grudgingly complied. Have to say that this is a real nice PF Chang's though, and the service and food was very good, as is expected at any PF Chang's. There really isn't much to say about PF Chang's other than what you already know. But if you bring people into Baltimore, please convince them to try a local joint instead of a chain restaurant. Way too many great restaurants in Baltimore to waste a trip on a chain they could eat at anywhere else. I'm giving it 4 stars because as I said, the food and service was great. It wasn't busy at all whatsoever in here on a Sunday afternoon, probably because most people have no desire to go to a chain.

Horrible service and hostess Last week on a layover (i'm a major airline pilot) walked in and stood at the bar like many other pf changs to order take out. After a few minutes I quized the bar tender..can I please have a menu for takeout? She sent me to the very back of the restaurant to order. So this week on a layover I was ready, Went straight to the back, and was told..no..no..go order from the bartender. With hands in the air I went back to the bar near the entrance. No bartender. Asked the hostess if she knew where he/she was since I wanted to order take out..oh..you have to order that from the back of the restaurant she said..well..you get the picture. I explained how i needed to order from the bartender and that i'm on a tight schedule. The hostess at 2pm, Oct 29 said, " if you dont like it you can just leave..the door is right there..there are plenty of other restaurants around." So there you ..as I walked away chomping at the bit to yelp that location, I will still go to pf chang's in other cities as I have done for the past 20 years. You can make up your own mind but they couldn't drag me back into that baltimore location! To quote the hostess, "there are plenty of other restaurants around."

This was an extremely, extremely bad experience. First, the hostess completely ignores me -- I'm standing by the desk and she's on the phone. Another dude walks in and she says, "how many?" I'm like HELLO? She says oh, i thought you were with another party. Get to the table, it's near the entrance to the kitchen, which is disgusting - the floor is covered in water and there are straw wrappers everywhere. I dropped a roll up on the floor and it sat there for 15 minutes. At least 6 servers walked right by it....more than once. We got to the table and it was dirty. Very dirty. I asked the waiter to wipe it. He brings a measly wipe that does NOTHING. I dry that with a napkin and it's COVERED in soy sauce. The table WILL NOT get clean. So, we move. We order...no water ever comes to the table. We get a bottle of wine, the glasses come and they are FILTHY. Meantime, we move. I hold the glass up to the waiter and say "would you drink out of this?" he makes a yukky face but says nothing. Takes the glasses back, wipes them with ...? and they come back again dirty. Meantime we get served crab rangoon which the server can't somehow find enough room for and he ends up dropping one on the floor. NO ONE says, "we're sorry, we'll get you another order or another rangoon" I have to ask. They end up bringing me ONE RANGOON. Water never comes. No manager to talk to, no hostess stops by. The place is disgusting, the service is terrible, just an awful terrible experience.

I love PF Changs but this location is pretty shitty. Food-wise, if you've ever been to Changs then you know what to expect so I'll stay away from the food. However the service at this location is terrible. Once, a friend and I stopped in mid-afternoon during the week. At this time, you'd expect to be seated right away and have no problems, but not us. We actually arrived at the same time as some friends and they were seated, ate, and PAID by the time we were seated. I actually ended up calling and complaining which landed us a free $50 to go back. Can't complain about that, though. Recently, my boyfriend and I stopped in because we were finishing up some Christmas shopping. As he waited in line at Best Buy, I went down to get us a table. The hostess told me it would be 10 minutes and to sit at the bar. I sat on the closest corner to the hostess stand and waited. While waiting, I overheard the hostess tell the bar staff that the tables weren't being turned over quick enough so she had to make people wait for tables to be cleared. This wasn't the problem. The problem was that I waited for close to 15 minutes and, during this time, the hostess seated 3 other couples so I got up and left. Again, I called and complained. (Apparently I do this too much, but surprisingly I've only ever done it at chain restaurants). The manager I spoke to apologized profusely and let me know that the Baltimore Changs was under new management and asked me to go back. Unsure if I will. I'm probably being picky but I have a major issue with bad service when a restaurant isn't packed or busy. Under normal circumstances I understand.

The best Chinese restaurant in Baltimore. There's Szechuan garden way up north, but I'd put this PF Changs ahead of it. Right its not "authentic" Chinese food, but very solid choice for lunch. The fried rice is the best I've ever had (and I order fried rice everywhere, even Taiwan!)--its a huge portion with lots of meat and among the lowest priced of the menu items, so if you are hungry for lunch come get it. This restaurant is amazingly consistent across locations, so I'm confident that the crispy honey shrimp, chicken lettuce wraps, and chang's spicy chicken are great.

We had good service and the food was unique and very tasty. The 4 course for 2 ($30) is a very good deal! I would for sure eat at another P.F. Chang's in the future!

The first time I came here was in June around 1:40pm. The lunch crowd had came and went, but our service was so slow one of our coworkers had to leave to make a meeting that was an hour and twenty minutes from when we sat down. We still didn't have food. The server was friendly but wasn't at our table often until we were itching for the check to get back to work. All of a sudden she wanted to discuss philosophy or something and we were ready to split. The food was fine but not impressive. I had the pad thai and it was oddly really spicy. I got some food to go just last night and the pad thai was horrible. I'm not an expert but it had tasted like it was reheated for lunch. The bottom of my container was covered in a thick grease and half the noodles in the middle were stark white as they had never been mixd in with the sauce. They also didn't include any lime. I was definitely disappointed from last night's meal.

It took like 45 minutes to get a vodka and coke, the waiter just seemed confused, and the veggie options I could eat weren't that impressive. Over priced for everything too, not my choice of place to try again.

I have been to this location of P.F. Chang's and have mostly received good service and food :) Like the lunch rice bowls - perfect size and good in taste too. Service does take a hit if I am there just after lunch hours, maybe the staff stretch their legs for a little bit after the busy period.... Like the decor inside and the location too!

What a great lunch spot! I went her today for lunch with my girlfriend. We sat at the bar area which was nice. I was able to watch people walking by as I ate. (I like people watching...LOL).... Anywho, the service was awesome. Our waitress was very attentive which I like. She was a sweet young girl. We got some drinks...delicious and ordered from the lunch menus which were priced reasonably. I got the crisp honey shrimp....yum yum. I loved it. My friend had something (LOL) and she liked it too. I will definitely come to PF Chang's for lunch sometime soon. I really liked the vibe on a friday afternoon. Definitely a place you should check out...

I agree with Meredith J., DONT GO TO THIS P.F CHANGS unless they do something about their chef or cooking staff cuz this is the ONLY P.F Changs which keeps disappointing me over the course of 3 years. Strike 3, never trying it again!

Had an early dinner on my way to the Lyric at PF Changs. We ate in the bar area and the waitress was very attentive andthe service was super fast. Ask for a seat bythe window so you can check out the light show around 6pm.

It's a chain, sure. But the facility looks great, the food is consistently good, and the service is very very good. A decent bar area near the front and a subdued (lighting - the music is actually quite loud) dining area. All very good. Kid friendly, and convenient to the inner harbor. You could do a lot worse.

This used to be a safe choice for good chinese in the Inner Harbor, but just tried it last night, and extremely disappointing. Not sure if they changed the Chef or what the change was, but food was very poor quality, and taste was not what I am used to for PF Chang. One hot dish was cold. Good people/service working there, but I think they even know that the something is not right with current quality of food and food preparation. Hope they make immediate quality changes because I used to like this place, and hope it survives.

The steamed vegetable dumplings were pretty good as an appetizer. However, my the seared ahi salad had tiny shreds of sliced tuna on top of a mound of lettuce. Hardly worth $13 in my opinion. The service was ridiculously slow for a Thursday lunch. How does it take 15 minutes before you take the drink order and over 20 minutes to come back with drinks? I'll skip this establishment next time I'm in the east harbor.

It's all about the lettuce wraps! Actually, my wife and I enjoy the entrees as well as they are different enough from the run-of-the-mill Chinese restaurant to make it an experience in itself. I'm found of the Ma Po Tofu and I also like the small pots of hot tea. This restaurant is right next to the Columbia Mall and can get really crowded so I tend to sit at the bar if I drop by for lunch in the afternoon. Service is OK but parking can get crazy with the Mall crowd competing for spaces. I also like their wine list, though I usually don't order wine with the meal. I'm not a vegetarian but I tend to go with those dishes at P F Chang's.

This wasn't our first time coming to a PF Changs but since we wanted to try out the Baltimore night life we thought might as well go to this location. It was total of 4 of us and we were celebrating a 38th Birthday. The location is nice and the ambiant is classy. The waiter was lively and ended up making as really laugh. The food was fantastic. We got the $39.95 special for two people. The Egg drop soup was perfect and the hot and spicy soup was not of my likings but I was happy I tried it. The Changs lettuce wraps were delicious(recommended) and the shrimp dumplings were enjoyable. We had the Beef a la Sichuan(recommended), Crispy Honey Chicken, Orange Peel Beef, and Changs Spicy Chicken. The best ones were the Beef a la Sichuan and Changs Spicy Chicken. Everything else fell right behind those. But nonetheless everything had its own delicious flavor. We practically left nothing left. Hungry? Most definitely. For dessert we got the Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake(recommended) and the Fourless Chocolate Dome. It seemed a little short staffed (or busy how the waiter put it) since the waiter seemed like he was running from table to table. Not to say that he rushed us at any moment but when he did get to our table he was antsy. Towards the end he really made us laugh unintentionally on his part but it made for a memorable evening. We will most likely return again if and when we're in Baltimore sometime in the future.

I really have no basis for a review!! I sat for 10 minutes without anyone stopping at my booth to inquire if I wanted a glass of water. Multiple servers were walking back and forth but none stopped. I was so upset I didn't even stay to complain to management. Reasoning behind no server assistance was the host forgot the afternoon change over occurred. Poor excuse so that was probably my last visit to that PF Chang's or that chain of restaurants as a whole.

Consistent service seem to have the process down. Have always started with the lettuce wraps and never have been disappointed. Try the eggplant usually piping hot and full of flavor

Mikey is one of the friendliest servers I have ever had. He was helpful and had an amazing personality. He was the most memorable part of our dining experience;) also the lobster tacos were tasty!

I agree with Meredith J., DONT GO TO THIS P.F CHANGS unless they do something about their chef or cooking staff cuz this is the ONLY P.F Changs which keeps disappointing me over the course of 3 years. Strike 3, never trying it again!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
