OUTSTANDING! Great food, great service and I couldn't believe the price. The decor is Velvet Elvis and Natty Boh meets Cheers. It's GREAT. If I had one single complaint it would be that everyone knows about it! Come early if you want to avoid the wait but it is completely worth it! FYI - Barbecue Shrimp Quesadilla is amazing

Gotta love the hubcap margarita. The crab, shrimp and corn quesadilla is really, really good. Parking is kind of pain, and there can be a bit of a wait on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and in the evenings, but it is worth the wait.

Awesome place! The food is great, the portions are huge, service is always good, and the atmosphere is fun! I'm a huge fan of the black and blue quesadilla along with the jalepeno mac and cheese quesadilla. Each one is nearly big enough for two, so if you don't finish it...bam theres a great lunch for tomorrow! The margaritas are awesome! You must try the margarita served in a hub cap...if you're lucky another table may challenge you and your buddies to a hub cap race! On friday and saturday nights there's usually a 30 to 45 minute wait for a table. Overall I'd give it 4.5 stars! A Canton must!

Good margaritas, delicious jambalaya and Jamaican appetizers. Long waits and high prices may be the downfall of this fun, cozy joint. If you go at the right time, though, you'll be treated to a good meal. Some reviewers and ex-kitchen-staff have criticized Nacho Mama's for its "microwave-only cooking," but if you order correctly you'll avoid any soggy or inconsistent food. Jamaican jerked apps and entrees are a favorite of this reviewer, and the cross-cut fries are always delicious and fresh. Hubcap margaritas are a fun novelty for tourists, but not worth the price - they're never mixed as well as the regular 'ritas. Go for the decor, get a few beers or house margaritas, and try a few appetizers. See if you can be there around 10:00 - they always play Journey then.

Let me just say that the hubcap full of margarita definitely seems like a fantastic idea BEFORE entering this fine establishment. Although, upon entering and ordering... and then sipping, I suddenly realized how disgusting it is! LOL, four people had their straws inside and I quickly changed my mind as to how exciting this drink would be... although it was definitely entertaining, next time I'll pass unless it's just me and my babe drinking out of the hubcap. ::gross:: The nachos are unbelievably delicious!! Lotsa cheese, lotsa salsa, lotsa other stuff that contributed to my stomach ache. Good stuff! The garlic shrimp also looked very appetizing, but I didn't order... dammit. I'll definitely return, it was a good time-- mostly because of great company and a great atmosphere. There's definitely room for a small party, but if you go with another individual you can definitely sit at the bar!

Tried Nacho Mamas because people in B'more were so high on this place. Then I was brought back to reality. The food is medicore at best. Their actual selection of Mexican food is quite small. I had a burrito. I ate half and threw it away. This may be good for some people, but real tex-mex can be found across the harbor at Miguels. I would not come back....

After arriving in town from a flight that was delayed I was hoping some place would be open for a late dinner. Although I have been to Nacho Mamas for dinner a while back I dont remember what I got so Ill just speak in the takeout I got last night. I thought the hotwings were above average and I would order them again, I also opted to go with something I haven't had before and thats Mesa Fries, which come with jalapenos, cajun seasoning and grilled onions. They were good and id recommend trying them if you haven't before.

The only thing bad about this place was the wait. I went with a few girlfriends and had a few hubcaps. The decor is great, lots of elvis everywhere. Its a little small too, very tight aisles..Otherwise its awesome.

Hearing about a margarita served in a hubcap was our main reason for wanting to try out Nacho Mama's in Canton. Gimmick, yes. But a large amount of alcohol served in something silly is O-K with me. Upon arriving on a Thursday night it was a little crowded so we grabbed the last two seats at the bar and got a couple drinks while waiting for a table. The bartender (big red haired dude) was nice and even allowed my boyfriend to exchange his Yuengling when he thought it had gone bad. The 2nd one was up to par. Drinks were a little expensive for my taste; $16 something for a screwdriver and two beers. Meh. After a semi-short wait we were seated at a table in the back. Elvis is everywhere on the walls. Someone is a fan. I'm not so it wasn't too impressive. There were many hot sauces on the table which my boyfriend sampled. A few good ones. First thing we ordered was the hubcap margarita. There is a large menu of different choices and you can get any flavor in the hubcap, so we decided on the Orange Crush-rita. I was expecting it to be orange, and taste a bit like OJ.. Nope. It was green like a regular lime margarita and also tasted this way. I didn't get it. I thought we were served the wrong thing but my bf thought it had a hint of orangey taste. Whatever. I didn't complain. Should've just gotten the "house" one and saved a few bucks. For the two of us it was a little bit of a challenge finishing it, but we did manage to before leaving. Worth $20? I guess. Our waiter gave us both a bumper sticker which says "TEAM HUBCAP", cute idea. The food. Free chips & salsa. Decent. I ordered a chicken quesadilla (no steak or pork on the menu ;(!) and wasn't too impressed. It was large and fully covered the plate and had a dollop of sour cream in the center and no other dipping sauces. I usually like some salsa on the side.. but it was inside this one. The dough didn't look like your average tortilla, it was "cloud-like" if you will, and fluffy. I had a bad feeling about the whole thing. It tasted ok, nothing special. Really reminded me of pizza which was not what I wanted. The sauce tasted like marinara and had the same constancy. I don't get it, Nacho Mama's. What is this stuff? It didn't seem like salsa. The chicken and cheese were average. I don't understand why places don't put peppers, onions, etc in quesadillas. It makes them SO much better. I "borrowed" some of my boyfriends toppings (the rice- YUCK, tomatoes and quacamole- good) he got with his chimichanga to make my qdilla a bit more interesting. He liked the chimichanga a lot. Nothing we ate was really worth coming back here for. I would rather make all of it at home. Overall, too expensive for what you're getting. If you want to suck down a hubcap margarita before a night of drinking with friends that'd be the only reason I'd ever stop here. Large portions aren't worth it if the food isn't great. Skip Nacho Mama's and go to Holy Frijoles for the same if not better food, and defiantly better prices.

I was unimpressed with their food. First we got there on a Friday happy hour and the kitchen was momentarily closed. So we took to drinking the hubcap margarita and ate chips and salsa. The marg is pretty tasty, it is not to sour and has a good amount of tequila in it. Once the kitchen was up and running I tried the burrito and it was just messy and hard to eat. You can even pick it up without it spilling it all over yourself. I would go back for drinks not food.

I'll admit, since moving to Maryland last summer, I have had a VERY jaded view of Baltimore as a whole. Before checking out Canton and Federal Hill, I had been downtown for the Baltimore marathon/O's games, taken my students to the BSO, and gone to my boyfriends favorite crab house (Obrycki's on Pratt St.). I 'll admit...I was jaded and kind of a hater... On the day of the NCAA Lacrosse tournament, we decided to take a little daytime tour of some good spots and ended up in Canton. I LOVED it! I have a special place in my heart for Mexican food so we stopped off at Nacho Mama's. SO GOOD! Way too much food for one person so feel free to split with a friend. I had an amazing shrimp quesadilla and my BF had a burrito. Both amazing and enough to feed us and the rest of the people sitting at the bar next to us. Drinks looked great and seems like a fun Friday night spot with friends. If you are in baltimore looking for Mexican deliciousness in a quirky fun atmosphere-give this place a try!

I only came here in person once...that I can remember, anyway. (Those hubcab margaritas are deadly...they should rename them Rohypnolitas). I can't stand the O'Donnell Square clientele. Its not fratty...its not yuppie...its some weird hybrid of the two...just some of the most obnoxiously boring & meatheaded white people on the planet, all getting drunk and rowdy, with the males beating their chests and the females showing off their plumage, trying their best to attract a mate. It's a good place to go to study primate sexual behavior in humans, but not a fun place to hang out otherwise...unless you enjoy people throwing punches at you or having your car get used as a urinal. But I digress... I used to order delivery from here fairly frequently. Most of the menu is fairly meh. But their steak nachos...man oh man...some of, if not the best nachos I've ever had! Mounds upon mounds of melted cheese smothering a plethora of chunks of plump, juicy, quality cuts of steak, all embedded on a pile of chips the size of Mount Everest. It was one of the best bangs for your food buck in all of Baltimore. Their Chili, Nawlins Shrimp and Mama's Meatloaf were all really good too.

Odd decor with all the Elvis and Nasty Boh stuff. Best reason to go here is the Hubcap Margarita. It's freakin huge and ridiculously strong.

We walked in and sat down at the bar. Shawn greeted us and made us feel at home. He was a super cool dude and knew a lot about National Bohemian Beer. I had the Seafood Smasher Potato. Was HUGE and i ate the whole thing. With 4 beers and that it was still under 30. With a nice Tip. Menu is really creative and they do have the wraps if your trying to cut back on bread. We would go here more but we live in Texas.

The food here is not good; it's just BIG. I am pretty fond of the chorizo queso, but I come here for the margaritas. Not the hubcaps (I think they're watered-down), but just the regular ones on the rocks. They are tasty and will take you where you want to go in no time.

It had been a while since I stopped back in my old mexican spot, but the food and drinks are still as good as ever. We went for the fajitas and margaritas deal they have on monday and tuesday.. also got the duck spring rolls which were great but we had to roll them ourselves, kind of expected them to come out rolled. either way it was good. insider tip: order the 'queso' when the nachos come out, it's amazing.

This place is an absolute Baltimore landmark. Known for it's fun atmosphere that takes pride in serving Natty Boh and reminiscing on Elvis, Nacho Mammas is as good as it gets in Baltimore for Mexican...and Italian! Some key signature items are the chicken tacos (or fish) which are HUGE and come loaded with a side of black beans and rice, and the PIZZA. Many items like wings and nachos come served in a hubcap which is very cool and lends to its theme of a fun place to hang out. Of course, if your just out for a night of drinking this is a great place to start as the Margaritas are excellent (top shelf of course!) The only drawback is the size. It's absolutely tiny and fills up way too fast, especially on a Friday or Saturday night. Expect a LONG wait unless you get there early. You can at least fend for yourself at the bar, but another nice alternative is the carry out. You can even enter through a different door and see the kitchen up close and personal while you place your food. Same great taste and quality. Or you can call ahead and when you arrive, there is never a line to pay and pick-up. If you have friends visiting from out of town, this is one hot spot they will be happy to check out. If not for the food and atmosphere, but for the location as well. Nacho Mammas is situated in the heart of Canton on O'Donnell Street. "The strip" is surrounded by over a dozen great bars, a desert cafe, and a park between both sides of the street that you can take a midnight stroll down.

Food was amazing for an equally amazing price!!!!! The only problem with the restaurant is the wait time. I had seven people in my group and we ended up waiting an hour and a half for a table. The wait was definitely worth it though.

My friends and I have made Nacho Mama's our monthly spot for nacho and beer night! The atmosphere is great and the food is even better. The nachos are fresh, not "manufactured" like other spots we've gone to for nacho and beer not. I loooooooove the bbq chicken quesadilla!!!

The food here is amazing! I absolutely love the Santa Fe Chicken dish that comes with snap peas and mashed potatoes!! It has chorizo and is soooo good! I definitely highly recommend it! The only complaint is that thhe chips used to be way better!!! I used to go for the chips and salsa in fact until they switched to these generic, cardboard tasting chips. I don't know why they went to these cheap disgusting chips, but it was a terrible choice!

Nacho Mama's has been a favorite of my family for years. We don't often go out for family dinners anymore, but when we do, we generally choose Nacho Mama's for its great combination of food, ambiance, price, and service. Food - Great quality and tasty. My girlfriend has a very fragile stomach and she says NM uses fresh foods. Thanks to NM also owning a seafood restaurant nextdoor (Mama's on the Half Shell) they have really great seafood. The shrimp quesadilla I get is loaded with really huge shrimp. Prices - I think its probably one of the better values for a restaurant these days. I get a shrimp quesadilla which is around $11 and because portions are so huge, I take half of it home for lunch the next day. Also, Natty Boh bottles for $2. Again, portions are huge, I also cannot finish their nachos which are loaded. Ambiance - Others reviews on here will do better justice than me. Its just really cool mixture of old stuff and a lot of funny stuff if you look around. Natty Boh beers are only $2

A long, long, LONG time ago, I used to design menus for Nacho Mama's for the agency I worked for. They paid me in food. At first, I didn't know if this would really work out, but it ended up being awesome. I have no plans on ever being vegetarian, but if I did, I'm positive that their portabella quesadilla would get me through life. I've still never had any potatoes that stack up to their smashies, and the Santa Fe Chicken is always changing, and always awesome. There also should be some law in the books that every place in Baltimore that serves anything resembling bar food needs to serve Boh battered items on their menu. Sure it gets crowded, because the secret is no longer a secret, but don't mind the haters. Nacho's is deliciousness all the way through.

This is a great place to go if you want to see Colts and Orioles memorabilia. There's a lotta Natty Boh memorabilia too. (National Bohemian for our tourist friends). Nacho Mama's celebrates Elvis' birthday and death day so if your moms is a big Elvis fan she might get a kick out of this place too. I rarely stop in to this joint because it is always packed. Rarely can I find a bar seat, But when I do I am reminded of why I never come here. Food is marginal at best. It's old white folk doing Tex-Mex and the flavors are uninspiring. Quesidillas are a hot seller there but are just blah in taste to me. Ordered the catfish taco and it was a huge taco with deep fried catfish and loaded with a pickled onion that completely ruined everything else in that monster of a taco. Side of beans was expected to be refried since they were black beans but it was a sugary baked bean. Not what this dish called for. The only truly edible part of this meal was the side of sour cream. But this place is always packed and is a hit with the tourists and locals alike. Good thing they have a solid gimmick.

Stopped in here because my friend in the area said it was great - she was right. Little late on a Thursday night, but we still had to wait almost 45 minutes for a table. It's a small place, and evidently pretty popular! I had been traveling most of the day and really just wanted a beer and some food. The hostess was super-nice - ended up bringing those of us waiting some chips and salsa, and the bartender was more than happy to quench our thirst (BTW - I'm sorry Baltimoreans, but I really don't understand the affection for Natty Bo) Finally ended up at a table. Completely enjoyed the chips & salsa, the Elvis sightings, the collection of hot sauces at the table, and Journey played promptly at 10. I wasn't starving, and the portions looked huge. So we decided to split a hubcap margarita and the pulled pork Quesadilla. I decided that might not be enough, so I got the chipotle crab bisque and oh am I glad I did. Not because it wasn't enough food, but because the crab bisque was phenomenal. Served in some kind of fried tortilla shell that almost ate like a pastry. Beautiful and tasy. The pulled pork quesadilla was just as delicious - and there was PLENTY of it to go around (ended up with leftovers) I realize pulled pork in a quesadilla doesn't sound right, but that's why it's called "quesadilla things" on the menu. I agree with some of the other reviewers - the square dwellers are... uh... hard to describe. But excellent food reasonably priced - I'll be back, and I'm bringing the real Elvis with me.

Awesome food! Don't come here looking for authentic. This is fusion cuisine and it is oh so super good!!!!! This is the place to go if you wanna have a great time with friends. The place itself has its own weird sense of humor, but that's what makes it so cool. Any standard restaurant can have regular decor, but this place is weird and takes it to the next level. It gives you something to talk and laugh about. Elvises everywhere......Drinking from hubcab tins? lol.... Definitely a great spot for food and fun!

If your an Elvis fan. This is a place for you. Its your neighborhood bar w/ a room dedicated to the king. Menu is not your typical bar menue. U can get the hubcap. A local fav. margarita that you can share with friends. Did see a mouse run across the floor once. Food is way over priced. If your in canton square. Your not gonna find 5 star dining anywhere!

MMmmm...I have never left Nacho Mama's comfortably full...the food is so good that I always eat until I have to roll out of there! More importantly...the margaritas are FABULOUS! I highly recommend Nacho Mama's - it is a great atmosphere that all Baltimore residents and visitors must take part in. And they deliver :)

The hubcaps...oh the hubcaps. These are satan in liquid form. Drank 2 of these between 3 of us and don't remember leaving this place or subsequently getting kicked out of the next place we went to. Drink at your own risk. Oh and pass on the crab quesadilla. Even in my drunken stupor, I thought it was vile.

First timer in this place its not real mexican food but a great twist on it. The people here are awesome n are very attentive. I would say to try the chicken chesapeak quisadilla ...it was great!!! Would return to this place in a second.

Is this Mexican food? No. Is it good? Meh. But... I had a delicious margarita and enjoyed looking at the walls (plastered with Baltimore sports memorabilia) and hanging out with an entertainingly rowdy bar crowd. The spinach and mushroom quesadilla was a whole lotta good spinach, mushroom and garlic slapped between two flour tortilla-esque items which tasted more like bland flatbread. Requested a side of guac instead of sour cream-- it was essentially just mashed avocado but, I mean, it was still avocado so it's hard to complain too much.

June P.
The service was good, the guacamole was great but that's where it ended. We ordered meatloaf and I had bbq pork tacos. The meatloaf lacked texture, it had the consistency of solidified baby food, it tasted good but the after effects were not pleasant. The pork tasted like it had been in the freezer too long and had gotten freezer burn and it tasted gross. I ate the beans and rice and buried the taco under a napkin. The server never did come back and ask how our meal was just dropped off the check. The tables behind us were so noisy the server couldn't hear our order we had to point at the item on the menu. I'm not sure I'll go back anytime soon.

Nacho Mama's is a place you must stop at if you are in the area. They have awesome drinks, and bar tenders that are friendly and personable. The atmosphere is unique to Baltimore. I only got food once, and ended up finding a piece of plastic in it. I would not get any food again from there, but I would definitely go back for a maragrita.

Absolutely horrible experience here tonight. Walked in with a couple friends who are in town for the holiday and the hostess was completely rude to me for seemingly no reason. We left and went next door. I've been going here for many years and this was my first bad experience with any staff. Was so bad though that I was not willing to stay it out. I would have preferred the food to be bad than the people! Unfriendly staff is completely unacceptable to me. Nacho mamas just lost my business for quite some time.
(1)
Michelle K.
Oh my, the food is awful. How one can make a burrito horrible is confounding. Even the rice was inedible. Rice. I went with a big group and started sampling other people's foods. 6 out of 6 was gross. Our server was friendly and apologetic when she realized that none on us had eaten more than a few bites of our food. However, it was not her fault and we had no desire to make a ruckus considering how busy it was. If I ever go again, I think I will stick to a liquid dinner of beer or cocktails.

I would have given this place three stars, except that when I was walking out I noticed an award on their wall that claims they had the best Mexican food in Baltimore. They lost a star just for that ridiculous assertion. I can understand the appeal of Nacho Mama's if you want somewhere to hang out with your friends and grab some drinks and nachos. If you're looking for a tasty Mexican dinner though please go somewhere else. The food here wasn't terrible, but it was very generic and uninteresting. I'd have to rate it a notch below what you'd get at Holy Frijoles, and that place isn't too great either. Update: After having been here a few more times I'm adding a third star to my review because NM is a very good place to go for beer and nachos or other bar food. Their margaritas that they make such a big deal about are terrible though. I had a hubcap once and it was nauseatingly sweet. A margarita is NOT sugar water and tequila!
(3)
Angela S.
The food at this place is so mediocre, it makes me wonder if the other reviews were at the wrong restaurant. Been here twice, with a fairly large group each time. The first visit, all of the quesadillas were burnt. Thought it was just the cook. Second visit, all of the quesadillas were burnt! What is it with this place? At least 2 of my dining companions had to scrape out the insides and just eat that. Veggie nachos were totally tasteless (huge--but who cares if the food isn't good?). Black bean soup tasted suspiciously like bacon, so if you're a vegetarian, ask first (I didn't). Tried at least 3 types of margaritas, each one worse than the next. Yes, if the group wants to go again, I'll go. But I'm having a hard time finding something on the menu that I would order again...

HUBCAP!!!! SEAFOOD QUESADILLA AND A NATTY BOH PLEASE! I spent hours looking at all the cool memorabilia on display. The decor is quirky and so are the patrons. The wings are delcious. I can't go to Canton without stopping here for something.

This place is one of my favorite in Baltimore! I go so much and enjoy their hubcap margaritas. I ask for Jose Cuervo to avoid rail. I usually order "The King's Wings" or I get fajitas. Their chili con queso dip rocks! I have never had a bad meal yet. I go so often and don't live in the area.......It sucks because I think I pay their light and electric bill. Downside: I get a "Naddy Boh" eye after a few hubcaps.

During the summer, my and I roommate took a trip to a small bar/restaurant outside of Fells Point, Md. called Nacho Mamas. My roommate has always been talking about how much he loves going to this place so I decided to finally see what all his hype was about. Now I must say when I first arrived at Nacho Mamas, I wasn't really impressed. It just looked like a typical sports bar with limited seating and wooden booths. Plus the restaurant didn't even have a Mexican or Hispanic theme, which is what I'd expect with a name like "Nacho." However once I my meal arrived to the table, and I took a huge first bite, I was quite impressed. After scanning the menu, the only thing that caught my eye was these chicken nachos. I then ordered this meal expecting to have an average size portion. But boy was I wrong. The serving size of these nachos was ridiculous. This thing honestly could've fed 4 people and still have leftovers. I dug in and didn't even make a dent in the nachos. I literally tried to continue eating after I was full so that it seemed like I got my money's worth. But I just couldn't succeed. Despite this failure of finishing my meal, I was very satisfied with my nachos. The chicken was large and tender, the cheese was baked and stringy, the beans were beany, and the tortilla chips were warm and crispy. It was pretty good. Now the best thing about this was that it was only about ($10). Not bad if you ask me. In terms of the restaurant's atmosphere, it's very dark, and sports bar like. What I mean is that people are drinking beer, talking loudly, and watching the game on the TV screens near the bar. Also within this restaurant the Elvis theme is pervasive throughout the restaurant with many pictures and memorabilia covering the dark walls. It's a pretty cool setting to enjoy a nice meal. So overall, Nacho Mamas is very affordable and is a great dining option for those on a college student's budget.

GREAT FOOD. Pretty good service. Really fun atmosphere. The only downside is it's very loud inside and it's a hit or miss whether you'll be seated immediately or if there will be a 2 hour wait.

Food is not that good but the drinks are awesome. My "hubcap" margarita came in a baking pan while the chips came in a hubcap... hmm

I got to go here this past weekend for my sisters birthday i hadn't been before but had read about it. Lets saw I feel in love with this place the second I walked in. Its great if you love sports Natty Bo and Elvis. The walls have paraphernalia everywhere and I even asked my dad about a few thing he remembered when he was a kid. The food portions were huge for a good price and I recommend getting the Buffalo Chicken Burrito it is so cheesy and creamy it send your mouth into overhaul. Plus you can beat getting a Natty Bo for 1.75 if you get a chance go I recommend it.

I honestly might have liked this place, but everyone that worked there was SO rude...from the hostess, to the wait staff! First off we were in town visiting friends on 12/29/2012. Our friends said we should try this place and their hubcap margaritas, so we go. There was a 1.5 hour wait so we put our names on the list and went across the street to another bar while we waited. My girlfriend and I went back to Nacho Mama's at the specified time while our husband/boyfriend paid the bill at the bar we were at. They seated us two while we were waiting on our significant others, and it took about 10 minutes before the waitress even took our drink order. We ordered the hubcap margarita. 15 minutes after we sat down the hostess SITS down at our table, very rudely tells us that she wasn't supposed to seat us without our full party being there, we explained they were just paying a bill at the other place and would be there in a minute. She stormed off and left us feeling bad and then proceeded to give us dirty looks the entire evening. As if that wasn't bad enough, we couldn't get our waitress to make eye contact OR answer us so we could place an order. In the meantime, the waitress actually accused a man at the table in front of us of grabbing her butt and made a big scene with the two couples at that table. Rightly so, they left very pissed off because the man DID NOT grab her butt. Our significant others showed up about 18 minutes after we'd been seated. We relayed what had already happened to them. Well, the waitress FINALLY came to wait on us when they got there, and my friend was not happy with the fact she wouldn't wait on us until they were there and nicely told her so since we'd been ready to order. She REFUSED to wait on us and told us she was getting us another waiter, which was perfectly fine with us, trust me, we didn't want her waiting on us and probably spitting in our food! The man who waited on us was a fake friendly, just trying to get us out of there, but we were very polite to him as he didn't do anything to us. We decided to just order the appetizer and leave because everything about the place was negative. We were debating on whether to leave a tip when the waiter handed my friend a menu and said "this is for you the next time you come In" and had circled "be nice or leave". Needless to say, we didn't tip them. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. The service was so HORRIBLE, the people were extremely RUDE, and what we did eat wasn't worth the wait, much less the attitudes of the employees!!! I've NEVER in my life been treated so poorly at a restaurant before. I will NEVER, EVER go back to this place and I know three other couples that feel exactly the same way. HORRIBLE PLACE!

You want Margarita's, Fried Mexican food and of course the Baltimore Canton vibe then you have to make a stop at Nacho Mama's. I went here last night and it was a first for me, the Margarita was strong, tangy and did the job of making me feel giddy and of course "buzzed". Was it the best, you ask? Nope, but for 8.50 it was descent. I am a fan of freshly made drinks, but of course most bars love the mixers. I did not get to try the food, but people looked satisfied. Who doesn't love deep fried wings, quesidillas and of course nachos. It was fun, the people were friendly and it is opened late. When in Canton and by the square, you have to make this a stop for the night.

So the service is just ok but the food is soooo good! Great portion for the price too.

I crave their black bean queso pretty much 24/7- delicious. I also enjoy the shrimp/asparagus quesadilla and margarita selection. It's a fun atmosphere, there's a lot on the menu, and the portions are pretty large. My only complaints are that it's extremely crowded, ridiculously long waits, and they could use some brushing up on customer service.

This is one of Baltimore's best lil food joints. The food's pretty good for what it is. Come in and enjoy the atmosphere and the people and down some Natty Boh's and watch the O's, hon! My girlfriend and I usually come in here on a late afternoon when we're both off. Perfect time, because usually once the sun dips the place gets crowded quickly. Weekends are usually the only time you'll have to wait for a table.

Nacho Mama's is small and awesome. I tried the catfish taco off the specials menu, which was delicious, as well as the buffalo wing burrito on a bed of jalapeno mac & cheese (also off the specials menu, and maybe one of the yummiest foods I've ever tried -- they seriously should make this a regular dish). The service was great and attentive. I liked how small the restaurant was -- seemed like a perfect size to create some buzz. Not sure I understand the Elvis-Mexican fusion, but it works, for some odd reason. Definitely would go back here.

It is a pretty small restaurant but it seems to a be a popular place. They serve nachos on hubcaps and there's alot of Elvis pictures all around the restuarant. The salsa and chips that came out were ok and the guacamole was so so. I would highly recommend the crab dip as an appetizer. The quesedillas are huge and most people in my group didn't finish it and I thought it was pretty good. I got the meatloaf and it was a litle too soft but the sauce on top was really good. I'd say it is pretty good place to hang out but it can get busy and they don't take reservations so I wouldn't come and wait to eat here.

There is something about this place which gives me much hope for Baltimore. Good and inexpensive food, friendly staff, electric atmosphere -- you haven't visited Baltimore until you've experienced this place.

I never stepped foot in the lounge, but I am very familiar with the side door action to the carry out. Best wings you can find in Canton. Also, they have secret dishes not found on the menu... Ask for a "Sticky Burger" or "Sticky Wings" !

Others have said it and I'll say it again. Hubcap margaritas. Four stars for the concept and atmosphere, just shy of three for the margaritas. Now there are tons to choose from, but the two we had were nothing spectacular. Fun presentation in the hubcap and 10+ straws, not so fun with the strained neck from leaning down to slurp it down. I loved all of the Baltimore memorabilia - really reminds you of what put the Charm in Charm City. Seemed like a really popular spot in Canton. Even at midnight the place was packed. Huge menu, too much to look through and we didn't go to eat. My brother said I simply must try the crab nachos. I'm not one to shy away from either crab or nachos, so it was a no-brainer. Super super super satisfying. Went great with the hubcap o'tequila sitting in front of us. Creamy crab dip-ish stuffed between the chip crevasses, topped with melted (and slightly over-baked) cheese and sour cream - so good. Concluding my evening in Baltimore, Nacho Mama's definitely tipped the calorie scales. Guess it's an extra 30 mins at the gym for a while.

OK service, good wings and ribs; but everything else the six of us ordered was awful. Beef Enchiladas, BBQ Chicken Enchiladas, and BLT Scallops Tacos were all awful. Yet another disappointing Mexican meal in Baltimore.

This was my second time at this venerated Baltimore eatery and I'm convinced that it's the kind of place Gordon Ramsay would start cussing about on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. When my wife got her mahi "taco" I wanted to hurl the plate across the room yelling, "what the f%!# is this?" It looked like someone had vomited on her dish. Why the heck did they slather the thing is Russian dressing? The quality of the food is really unacceptable and I just don't get why people love it so much.

I think this place is over-rated! There is a wide range of menu items but both times I've been here I've only found the food to be OK. One of my coworkers had a chorizo and cheese appetizer with tortilla chips, which was pretty good. I ordered chicken nachos - a huge heaping platter of tortilla chips and generous toppings but I thought the chicken had a strange flavoring. Overall, I'd rather eat elsewhere although the decor and menu commentary are somewhat entertaining.

After 13yrs of living in Canton, I still LOVE this place! The staff makes everyone feel like they're just hanging with friends no matter how busy the place gets. And I never turn down a chance for a hubcap margarhita whenever a friend suggests a happy hour there. Food is always excellent. Stop by if you've never been here...

Food is good, service is poor, atmosphere is top notch. Nothing is more Baltimore to me than drinking Natty-bo at Nacho Mama's while waiting for a table. Always a wait and slow service but a great place to down a few before a night out in Canton. Crab ball appetizer's would be the can't miss item. Creative list of quesadillas, waffle fry option as a side, a separate daily specials menu that should always be looked at.

Over the years (10+) I've been going here, I've taken about 30 other people. I can think of only 1 who didn't love it. Most have adopted it as their favorite restaurant as well. None will turn down a trip there, and none [including myself] live closer than 25 miles away. I won't wax poetic, here are the details: Potential cons: the wait can be long (1.5 hours) on weekends because it is quite popular. That also means it can be very crowded, and street parking can be near impossible. Their food isn't "authentic", but makes no claims to be. The people who take your name aren't always particularly helpful. I like hot food, but their buffalo chicken taco is almost too hot. Pros: My sister claims their nachos have crack in them. Everyone I know agrees that they are the best they've ever had, even on off nights. The food is almost universally delicious, and you'd be hard-pressed to order something that wasn't. They don't try to go for subtle tastes here, everything is rather saturated and strong. The hubcap margaritas are nice and strong (even the cheap ones). Their wings are just as you'd hope... they aren't the world's best, but there are no negatives. Their meatloaf is a favorite of my friends, some of whom admit they'd never order meatloaf from a restaurant. All of the quesidillas are very tasty. The salads (especially the 10 leaf) are strongly dressed, but super. All dishes contain large vegetables, shrimp, and hearty amounts of meat, which is why every dish ends up being quite large. Unless you want to crawl out, you will be leaving with leftovers. Their staff has very little turnover, so you almost always get someone who is good, because they really knows what they're doing. The staff is very friendly, especially Maricio, whom is especially so. Still not sold? I'm an amateur photographer, so I invite you to take a look for yourself: bit.ly/gd5SFg .

Don't listen to the idiots on here giving one star. My girlfriend and I eat here minimum twice a month and the food is always fantastic. You will not be disappointed by the Chicken Chesapeake, Nawlins Shrimp, Seafood or Fajita smasher, or really anything for that matter. My only complaint about this place is that there is always a wait and the bar is always full. Anyone who had a bad experience at this place needs to give it another shot, there is no way this place disappoints twice.

How dare you, Nacho Mama's. HOW DARE YOU. I heard about your hubcap margaritas and waited for YEARS for the perfect chance to get on down to Canton and check you out. When the day finally arrived, I was so excited. You really pumped me up! What an excellent concept. Too bad your food sucked and made me feel sick and gross, and was way overpriced to boot. Fucking underwhelming. Your margs weren't even anything to write home about. You're dead to me.

Preface, if you want a unique bar devoted to Natty Boh, go and have a good time. If you are looking for mexican places in Baltimore... read on. First, I registered simply to review this restaurant, because frankly I am baffled by the other reviews and sad that this is what people think of as mexican food. Statements: - Their chips and salsa was LITERALLY... Tostitos and poor grocery store bought salsa. This same salsa was littered around the rest of their "mexican" dishes. (I should have left right there, it was the biggest red flag there could have been) - there were only a few mexican things to even choose from. Nothing complex, just basic quesodillas, enchiladas, fajitas, etc. You aren't getting any flank steaks or interesting creations. - quality of meats and vegatables was utter garbage. Think sub grocery store level stuff. Its like they just heated things up bought on the mexican aisle and served it. I couldn't believe it. - Zero flavor and only noticeable spice was pepper (like, black pepper from a grinder) Seriously? The fact that I signed up to review this should tell you something. After reading these reviews, i knew it was a coin toss. But man, anyone that review it as a "mexican" place has my pity. The mexican food I make myself (and i am a poor cook) is miles beyond this. It was so sad that people were waiting over an HOUR to eat here. So far my tour of Baltimore restaurants has yielded nothing even comparable to NYC flavors. It has made me not even want to leave the house to eat. If its not better than what I can make, why would I pay. Such a joke.

Nacho Mamas never disappoints!! they have an extensive menu and regularly feature over the top, awesome specials. I love it when i can catch their soft-shell crab taco special.. mm mm mm MMMM! one thing to beware of is that nacho mamas has a very small seating area and bar, so while it would be great for a group of 6 or so, anymore and you will run into a space problem. also, any restaurant that serves margarita's in car hubcaps is A-OK in my book! Also, be sure to check out their mango margarita too, soo good!

I've heard of this place and have seen people eat their food when they order takeout. The portions are HUGE and the prices are pretty fair. I ordered Mama's Meatloaf and it was a big hit at the table. The meatloaf was perfectly cooked and the sauce was so delicious - definitely different from any other meatloaf I've ever tried. The green beans that came with it were a tad salty and the smashed potatoes were decent but definitely not something I'd miss if someone sneezed on it. The service was delightful though and our glasses were never empty or low for too long. Plus, our server was just sweet and pleasant, and we didn't feel rushed even though they were pretty busy during lunchtime on a Friday afternoon.

Surprisingly good. Nope, it's not authentic, but I'm not sure that's what they're going for anyway. What they are going for is creativity and thoughtful planning in preparing their menu items. I ordererd the vegetable fajitas and he ordered the jambalaya, both of which were plentiful and super fresh. The prices are moderate - maybe a little high for Mexican, but once you see the portion, you'll see that you're ordering for two. Pictures of Elvis cover every inch of the walls, which I suppose is a little creepy, but maybe not - it's a fun atmosphere with fresh food and friendly service.

Is this considered "tex-mex"? Ouch. Maybe I'm tainted from living in Texas, but this was simply "ok". While the decor is cool, and the specials (think there was a pitcher of margarita last visit) is decent, this is a poor attempt at flavor. This is as authentic as Mothers is spacious on a Raven's game day.....

HEY HUN! Nacho's has been a staple in my Baltimore experience forever... I remember the days of hitting modern music and than stopping at Nacho's for a natty boh and some jerk wings... I have been living in philly for the last 4yrs and My last few trips to nacho mamas have been different not necessarily bad different, but different. the food is still top Notch and the service is still excellent. Visually it is turning into a "yuppie" hangout, the bathroom mirrors have been removed and the "flare" which was classic not only Baltimore but, Maryland has been polished up. The food however still warms the cockles of my stomach which are very close to my heart! Go and eat, everything is good just be sure to have a DD if your planning on having a Hubcap margarita.

Driving back to DC from NJ...the hungries got the best of us so we detoured through Baltimore. We intended to try a Greek place, but it was closed...Mondays! Several blocks later, and with the help of Yelp, we came upon three cute little homespun restaurants, all seemingly attached to one kitchen. Which one to choose? Eeny, meeny, miny mo...catch a Mama by the toe! Nacho Mama's it was. The decor is kitschy with colored lights and tinsel wreaths. Interesting, yes. Attractive, not so much, but it did possess a certain charm. The food though, excellent for the price. Our server recommended the quesadillas wholeheartedly. We selected the steak and blue cheese version and a pulled pork enchilada off the specials menu. The quesadilla had the best crispness and flavor to the bread--compressed and griddled with oil. Perfection. The filling wasn't too bad either-very moist. My enchilada was heaped with pulled pork and the most amazing tropical fruit, jalapeno salsa. The only change I would make to that dish would be to sandwich it between those griddled tortillas. A sizable entree, I was only able to finish 1/3 of it before I was absolutely stuffed. My BF, who has an endless pit of a stomach, had to leave a 1/4 of his behind as well. Definitely a good value, a good meal and an excellent detour. Already bookmarked this one for our next trip to Baltimore.

This guy walks into the room carrying this big chunk of cheese. His roommate marvels at the sight and asks him, "What kind of cheese is that?" The guys replies, "It's nacho cheese." His roommate asks, "How do you know that?" The guy answers, "Because when I was walking and saw this cheese, I picked it up and walked away. Then I heard this guy yelling at me, 'Hey, that's nacho cheese...that's nacho cheese.'"

If you can get over the long wait during peak times (the joint is small) and the sheer unsanitary grossness of slurping a hubcap margarita through a straw along with four or five other people (can you say, "backwash"?), then I'd say Nacho Mama's is a great place to get a drink and some food. I also enjoy the quesadillas there, and the medicine cabinet at each table with hot sauce is a cute little touch. Yes, if you want to see tons of Baltimore memorabilia, and feel like you've "experienced Canton," then go for it.

1. This is not Mexican - when I first moved to Baltimore from Texas and was missing Mexican, people would drag me here. Ugh - this is not even Tex-Mex - it is pub fare with slight Tex-Mex influences. That said, the wings are OK, and the burgers are edible. But NOT Mexican in any way, shape, or form! 2. It is crowded and the wait is long - despite being marginal fare, for some reason Cantonites love this place. Plan to wait, and wait, and wait, and wait.... 3. The service sucks - we once went here after work, and one of our colleagues who was tied up with a patient decided not to join us. He then got free and came in about 20 minutes after we were FINALLY seated and the freakin' waitress refused to allow him to order food! We had just gotten ours seconds before, so it isn't as if we were all done and he would hold up the table. We were completely shocked! She said the policy was that the entire party must be present to be seated and latecomers would not be served. She absolutely refused to let him order ANYTHING including a drink. We all shared our food and drinks with him of course, but WTF!!! I have never been treated so badly at a restaurant before. That was my last visit to the place and I will never go back. It is one of the very rare places that if friends suggest it, I put my foot down and refuse on principal.

Mamas rocks, I've tried nearly everything on the menu and there has never been a miss. Great food, huge portions, what's not to love! My favorites; Mama's meatloaf, 10 leaf salad and their changing selection of soups served in a taco shell bowl. Damn, my mouth is watering just typing this.

Best Tex-Mex in Baltimore. The portions are huge! I always want to order the blackened chicken nachos, but if I do I wont have room for the awesome enchiladas. The decor is everything Baltimore. The service has always been excellent. I don't think they take reservations, and you should be prepared to wait for a table on Friday and Saturday nights. But it is well worth the sometimes 45 minutes to an hour wait to get a table. After all there is a reason that on a square with at least 15 bars and restaurants that people are waiting to eat here.

I love, I mean I LOVE Tex-Mex! I've heard so many rave reviews of Nacho Mama's that figured a visit was long over due. Started off with a margarita, chips and salsa. All were pretty good; not great, but would definitely get them again. Now on to the main course. No hard shell tacos? I mean, come on, if you're trying to be an authentic Mexican restaurant that would be expected, but this is certainly no authentic Mexican restaurant. Okay, onto my second choice: beef enchiladas topped with a rojo (red) sauce. The portions were fine, and the sides of rice and refried beans were actually GOOD, not the usual crappy sides you end up not eating in many other Tex-Mex joints. The enchilada however? Well, it wasn't BAD, it was just very, very odd. First off, the beef tasted sweet. That's right, SWEET! I was expecting flavors such as chile or cumin or SOMETHING along those lines, but the meat was sweet. Not gross, just weird. Unfortunately, the rojo sauce did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation. It, too, was sweet, and tasted like cheap, store bought BBQ sauce! I was like, WTF?? Given my love for Tex-Mex, and they're pretty good margaritas and chips and salsa, I MIGHT go back again someday, BUT... if I order anything with beef in it (far and away my first choice in Tex-Mex) I'm going to ask them if they use the same beef/seasonings in the chimichanga or the fajitas as they do in the enchildas cuz that beef tasted just plain WEIRD. In a nutshell: Not horrible, just plain odd.

It's interesting to me that people love the food here so much - I've eaten here twice and it's really not that great. It's a fun atmosphere and I would recommend it for drinks and maybe an appetizer. I felt sick after eating here both times, and it's not that I got anything that crazy. Just queso dip and some quesadillas. The food tasted ok, but I ate here twice and got a stomach ache, twice. I'm pretty sure that's not a coincidence, so I won't be back as I think the food quality is lacking.

Nachoooooooooooooooo!! This is a great late night place to head to if you're in the Canton area and in the mood for some margueritas with friends. They're (in)famous for their hub cap margueritas. The food is pretty standard, not fabulous, and on Thursdays and weekend nights it can get pretty crowded, so be prepared to wait for a table. If I remember correctly, Thursday night is also Journey night, so they play Journey all night starting around 8pm....which is cool if that's your thing. The place has character, it's decorated wall to wall in Natty Boh memorabilia. It's a good time, especially if you've already got a few beers under your belt.
(3)
Howard R.
One of the few places that I will drive 30 miles to go eat. I love the laid back atmosphere, funky decor, and YES the food is good. If you're going looking for so-called authentic Mexican food, you'll be disappointed but if you are looking for a different take on some old favorites you're going to love the place. The portions are MORE than ample and a shared quesadilla and caesar salad are enough to fill the two of us up.
(4)
Rebecca L.
I would *like* to like Nacho Mama's, but the food and service always disappoints. I live within walking distance, but only go if friends insist. Love me some Elvis and 'Boh, though!
(2)
Butros B.
I love the food, service and natty boh. It's the unofficial museum of the great tasty beer. The bartender are also super friendly. Be warned there are only 11 tables so on a busy weekend night you may have to wait well over an hour. Don't worry, there is a bar or if its too crowded at the bar there are plenty of places in the area that you can grab a beer or two until your table is ready.(I have done that plenty of times)
(5)

VIVA NATTY BOH! Mr.Boh lives at nacho mama's...Ok if your a Natty Boh fan like my self then you'll love the decor...classic natty boh ad's on the walls, waitress with Mr.Boh shirts & hats...and you'll have PLENTY of time to admire the decor as you wait HOURS for a table...the hostess said 1 hour wait and it was 2 1/2 hours and about 7 Natty Bohs later I finally got a table...they only have about 15 tables and people tend to sit and drink more after dinner rather then get up and continue at the bar...ok the food was great,I read other reviews of people complaining it's not "real Mexican"...I never been to Mexico so big ass yummy chicken quilsadillas and delishious steak tacos are good to me! I had to deduct 1star cause the wait time and the parking in canton is terrible...I think every single person out that night drove seperatly...sooo if your in canton and love $1.75 Natty Boh and cramed with goodness food but have a few hours or possibly even days to kill...go check out Nacho Mama's!

I'd put Nacho Mama's on my top 10 reasons why I'd move back to Baltimore. I lived in the neighborhood right after college and found myself there at least once per week. It was always so busy, so I found it helpful to go for an early dinner. The prices are great, food is outstanding, portions large, and the atmosphere so much fun. Oh Nacho Mama's, how I miss you and your hubcaps of Margarita.
(5)
Patrick H.
I really wish I could give this place no stars. For the life of me, I can't understand why anyone would eat here. The food is greasy and poorly prepared, the margaritas are terrible and the service is surly. After hearing people rave about this restaurant I was at least expecting edible food and a well made margarita. The fact that this sorry excuse for a restaurant is still open makes me seriously question the taste and judgment of its patrons.
(1)
Will M.
Nacho Mamma's has yet to disappoint me in anyway. I love the atmosphere and the randomness thrown all over the walls from vintage Baltimore Oriole and Colt gear to a shrine of Elvis and the "Barbie Cage". Everyone I've taken there has loved the food. If I lived in Canton I would be a regular.
(5)
Dominic C.
A quintessential Baltimore bar/restaurant. Not quite authentic Tex-mex but it doesn't matter when you can get Natty Boh in a can, margs served in hubcaps, and one of several dozen tequila's they have on deck. Great atmosphere - a must do if you're in east Baltimore.

Huge portion sizes and reasonable prices. We had the veggie nachos and a mushroom and spinach quesadilla. The nachos were big and good. I liked having broccoli and zuchini under the cheese. The quesadilla was good. My biggest complaint was the tortilla chips. The chips were straight from a bag, a little too salty, and not very authentic.
(3)
Josiah L.
you know you're in baltimore when you're at nacho mama's. the whole place is covered with natty boh, ravens/colts and orioles memorabilia. the quesadillas are huge but so tasty that i always somehow found a way to finish it even though i'd suffer afterwards and like Hanna B said: Hubcab
(4)
Danny K.
i'd really grow to love this place if i were 10 years younger. if you like to drink an excessive amount of cheap margarita, this place is for you! what better way to top that off than with a plateful of greasy food (i don't know if you can call it Mexican...) smothered in cheese! but it definitely can be fun with the right crowd.
(3)
Patrick C.
We came here in a group of 4 on a Friday night, around 5:30PM and were seated immediately. Waitress was attentive, not overly friendly. The calamari and Mach Nacho appetizers were average - not bad, not great. The chicken in the Macho Nacho was dry and tasted like leftover chicken that's been in the fridge for a few days (I know EXACTLY what that tastes like from experience). We ordered the soft shell crab taco, burrito, and enchilada for the main courses. Again, not bad, but not great. The soft shell crab was was a plain salt flavor. We definitely had better margaritas though. The appetizers were HUGE...keep this mind if you're going there after work and you're ordering appetizers...especially the Macho Nacho, as the name implies. Interesting-looking place...not terribly expensive, very lively...overall, and enjoyable experience and wouldn't mind going back again.

Loved this place. Food is just for the sake of filling you with something solid if you want. For me, the beer takes care of it.
(4)

I went into this place after hunting for parking for 15 minutes and found people with straws in a hubcap... I gave a blank stare, then saw it as a menu item. HUBCAP MARGARITAS?? Crab Dip Nachos!!!! My interest was piqued. I had that, some crab dip nachos. and oogled at the Old School Baltimore memorabilia including the Elvis collection. This place gets the nod for cool props, decor and atmosphere. The staff is quick, and riendly, and the other mexican foods here are good enuff for a person from L.A. to enjoy and not be too critical. Oh and you'll have leftovers from the portion sizes: they're quite hefty.
(4)
Michael B.
I have always enjoyed this restaurant although there can be a long wait on fri /sat night and they don't take reservations. I always get the seafood quesadilla and it delivers every time. I have also gotten the jambalaya and it was very good but oily You have to get a hubcap to share. Definitely not gourmet but huge portions of tasty food at a reasonable price. If your in canton and looking for a little b-more flavor this is the spot.
(4)
Donna H.
This place is really cool. If you order the nachos, you will need a doggy bag. If your order fajitas, you will need a doggy bag. In fact, if you order nachos with the intention that they will only be an appetizer, you're screwed -- haha. They give you more bang for your buck. It's not a wide-open place, but they make up for it in grub and booze. If you're new to Baltimore you MUST at least try this place. If you like Mexican food you will not be disappointed.
(4)
Elizabeth E.
I love this place!! It's all good - the atmosphere, the food, the service, the price, AND the substantial presence of velvet Elvis!
(5)
Gunnar V.
Seems like everyone loves this place but I didn't. The atmosphere is fine but our waiter was absent-minded (forgot drinks, etc). Of the 4 of us, only one liked the meal enough to want to come back. I got the chili and it was basically big honking chunks of stringy beef in tomato sauce and chili powder. A friend of mine got a crab quesadilla and it was like a glop of crab dip sandwiched between two tortillas. Maybe the mistakes we made were in what we ordered. Whateva, I two star you.
(2)

Good for Carry Out but over hyped. Very Smoky but if you like Baltimore memorabilia this is the place for you! No traditional Mexican food like Tamales or Relenos but solid "Tex Mex". Not sure why it won best Mexican food in Baltimore.... Try Geckos if you like more authentic

I ventured out after a convention and tried Nacho Mama's based on Yelp ratings. I sat at the bar and found the staff to be very helpful. They introduced me to Natty Boh beer (very similar to a PBR). The servings were huge. I would give the staff a 5 star and the food an avg rating. I would go back.

Nacho Mama's is one of my favorite places in Baltimore. It's great for a small outing with friends. The local flavor comes through strong in the decor, and the food is pretty good. They also have really good magaritas and sangria.

Nacho Mamas is one of the oldest bar/restaurants on Canton Square in east Baltimore. It's a tragedy that the City of Baltimore forced Nacho Mama's to retire Elvis. He no longer stands outside on O'Donnell Street, luring in customers. He's still there in spirit, though, from the cold bottles of National Boh (even available in the popular "40" size!), to the quesadillas sized to feed thick-necked men named Gunther. The regulars at the end of the bar add local color, and the daytime staff is the best on the Square (ask for Sean or Kim). The menu is fairly large, and I have to admit that I've never steered far from the daily specials menu. You can't go wrong with a quesadilla (crab and corn, black and bleu, jerk chicken, cheeseburger) or a taco. The taco is a single-shell serving, but it's HUGE and served with beans and rice. I've never had a bad meal here. If I had to complain about something it'd have to be that the portions are monstrous. If'n you like it spicy, here's an insider tip: ask for some of their homemade habanero salsa, and hold onto your hat. Drinkin'? Stick to the bottled variety of beer. The taps are funky and spew out frothy glasses of foamy head. Great food, cold beer, and good people. Added bonus: the bathroom walls are painted with chalkboard paint and chalk can be found to the left of the sink on the old soap dish. Write something about Scott - I hear he wears a merkin.

Canned salsa chips from a bag that taste like they put extra salt on to get you to drink more. Large portions of very mediocre food. Only positive is the place has a nice vibe

Crab Nachos, hubcap margs, and great hot sauces. Kind of miss the ol' medicine cabinets at the tables, but all in all the place is great.

shrimp fajitas and hubcaps- best combination. the fajita special with a free pitcher of margaritas is great!! It is always busy but it's worth the wait. it has a great laid back vibe for nights you just want to take it easy and catch up with friends

My god people, this place is dreadful. Clearly some of you have never left Canton Square to get Mexican Food Tex Mex my a**. Every single chain Mexi-joint in a 30 mile radius has better burritos than this dung-hole.. Including Chipotle and Qdoba. Ain't that sad? A Ma and Pa joint FAIL. Simply put, this place is a jedi mind trick. Put Elvis in the window, make it look kind of John Waters-ish seedy and kitchy. Plop some unseasoned beans and dog food grade meat into a burrito. Serve some Tostitos in a hubcap with some from-a-jar salsa- (generic Safeway brand preferable). It's not good. Really.. trust me here. Don't buy the hype.

Note: I do not like dining in here, but my friend and I regularly partake of delivery. And the food is consistent, tasty, and the portions are nice and gigantic. I'm a fan of the salads and the inexplicably-addictive NACHO FRIES. We've recently discovered the Godfather pizza, which leads to wallpaper-peeling dog farts, but for some reason you keep wanting to order it. I'd be heartbroken in a Baltimore without the ten-leaf salad with blackened chicken. It hits the spot.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

(4)Austin B.

(2)Jeremy A.
(3)Ricki L.
The only thing bad about this place was the wait. I went with a few girlfriends and had a few hubcaps. The decor is great, lots of elvis everywhere. Its a little small too, very tight aisles..Otherwise its awesome.
(5)Melody C.
(2)Megan N.
(3)Emily D.
(4)Bryan R.
Fantastic food and atmosphere. Hubcap margaritas are huge and good! It is VERY easy to order way too much food here...
(5)Mark M.
(4)Matt H.
I am wild about this place: they've got great food (massive portions) and are well-priced all around.
(5)Rodge B.
Odd decor with all the Elvis and Nasty Boh stuff. Best reason to go here is the Hubcap Margarita. It's freakin huge and ridiculously strong.
(4)Jackie B.
(5)Jennifer H.
The food here is not good; it's just BIG. I am pretty fond of the chorizo queso, but I come here for the margaritas. Not the hubcaps (I think they're watered-down), but just the regular ones on the rocks. They are tasty and will take you where you want to go in no time.
(2)Russel S.
(4)Joe K.
(4)Michael W.
Food was amazing for an equally amazing price!!!!! The only problem with the restaurant is the wait time. I had seven people in my group and we ended up waiting an hour and a half for a table. The wait was definitely worth it though.
(5)Arsalan H.
Went thursday night, awesome food and fast service! Great!!!
(5)mel g.
Hub cap margarita's what more can I say that = fun. The Nacho's are so good here. the atmosphere is so chillax.
(4)PeeAy C.
(4)Gina W.
(3)Peter E.
Natty Boh beers are only $2
(5)Adam R.
(5)Jamie S.
(2)Seth J.
(4)Jennifer H.
(5)Vincent L.
(2)Katherine O.
(5)Amanda B.
(3)Gina B.
First timer in this place its not real mexican food but a great twist on it. The people here are awesome n are very attentive. I would say to try the chicken chesapeak quisadilla ...it was great!!! Would return to this place in a second.
(5)Emily P.
(3)June P.
(2)Jeryn B.
Love it! Every time I visit Baltimore I come here! I normally get a quesidilla & it's always fantastic! This place is just all around fun!
(5)Jessica T.
(4)Manda G.
(1)Michelle K.
(1)Pascal P.
(3)Angela S.
(2)Sha T.
HUBCAP!!!! SEAFOOD QUESADILLA AND A NATTY BOH PLEASE! I spent hours looking at all the cool memorabilia on display. The decor is quirky and so are the patrons. The wings are delcious. I can't go to Canton without stopping here for something.
(5)Maryanne M.
Nacho Mama's is a great place to go with friends! The hubcaps are a must and the Elvis theme is awesome.
(4)Janelle S.
Awesome atmosphere, pretty good service with a great tequila and beer selection. Food is good, just which they had crunchy taco's on the menu! Great lunch place! Elvis room is the best!
(4)Tonya H.

(5)Kari R.
Food is not that good but the drinks are awesome. My "hubcap" margarita came in a baking pan while the chips came in a hubcap... hmm
(3)Fat T.
Crab nachos are awesome. Get it everytime. Portions here are huge.

(3)Karen K.
So the service is just ok but the food is soooo good! Great portion for the price too.
(4)Candace V.
(4)Elton A.
(5)Jonathan M.
(5)Andrew K.
(3)Panda B.
There is something about this place which gives me much hope for Baltimore. Good and inexpensive food, friendly staff, electric atmosphere -- you haven't visited Baltimore until you've experienced this place.
(3)Mike W.
I never stepped foot in the lounge, but I am very familiar with the side door action to the carry out. Best wings you can find in Canton. Also, they have secret dishes not found on the menu... Ask for a "Sticky Burger" or "Sticky Wings" !
(5)Amanda E.
(4)Jason S.
OK service, good wings and ribs; but everything else the six of us ordered was awful. Beef Enchiladas, BBQ Chicken Enchiladas, and BLT Scallops Tacos were all awful. Yet another disappointing Mexican meal in Baltimore.
(2)Jennifer K.
Place is small, make a reservation always! Portions are huge, perfect for sharing. I'm a fan of the salads and quesadillas.
(4)Dave A.
(1)Deann G.
(2)Vicky P.
(5)Tom C.
(3)Eddie W.
(5)Bill B.
(5)Jen T.

(4)Shirley L.
(4)Janelle M.
(3)Nicholas C.
(2)Luke L.
(4)Jennifer S.
(4)Edward K.
(3)Carrie H.
(4)Kathryn E.
(1)Michael U.
(5)Chip F.
(5)Fred L.
(2)Erin O.
(2)Emily C.
(3)Howard R.
(4)Rebecca L.
I would *like* to like Nacho Mama's, but the food and service always disappoints. I live within walking distance, but only go if friends insist. Love me some Elvis and 'Boh, though!
(2)Butros B.
(5)CHRIS P.
(4)Maria B.
(5)Patrick H.
(1)Will M.
(5)Dominic C.
(5)richard a.
great service, great food, amazing atmosphere. best of all they give you soooo much food for a great price. MUST GO!!!
(5)F D.
(3)Josiah L.
you know you're in baltimore when you're at nacho mama's. the whole place is covered with natty boh, ravens/colts and orioles memorabilia. the quesadillas are huge but so tasty that i always somehow found a way to finish it even though i'd suffer afterwards and like Hanna B said: Hubcab
(4)Danny K.
i'd really grow to love this place if i were 10 years younger. if you like to drink an excessive amount of cheap margarita, this place is for you! what better way to top that off than with a plateful of greasy food (i don't know if you can call it Mexican...) smothered in cheese! but it definitely can be fun with the right crowd.
(3)Patrick C.
(3)AJ S.
Loved this place. Food is just for the sake of filling you with something solid if you want. For me, the beer takes care of it.
(4)Dee H.
(4)Michael B.
(4)Donna H.

I love this place!! It's all good - the atmosphere, the food, the service, the price, AND the substantial presence of velvet Elvis!

I love the medicine cabinets full of hot sauces and they made my Chimichanga amazing. My 6th grade science teacher also worked here.

margaritas in "hubcaps" and 1 1/2" thick quesadillas twice as big as your head. what else could you ask for?

The quesadillas are to die for. And they're huge. Amazing.

I got takeout from this place. Got a bunch of stuff. It was pretty decent but not great, even for takeout. The meat distribution in the beef nachos wasn't great.
