This pizza has been fantastic, EVERY TIME! We have ordered more then 10 different pizzas and each one is excellent. The thin crust is great! Although its not quite like some little spots in Brooklyn they are better then the ones in Chicago!

Thin-crust lovers unite! I'm not big on pizza because of the excessive amount of carbs, but this place rocks it because of their extremely thin crust pizzas. And when I say "thin-crust," I mean literally as thin as a cracker! We ended up creating our own pizza masterpiece, and were surprised at how quickly it came out. The toppings were both generous in portion, and were very tasty (we recommend the sausage, ham, olives and ricotta). Also, for a pizza place they really kick out some sweet salads as well. We shared two salads: the Bagby Chopped salad with the sherry shallot dressing and mixed salad with roasted veggies with the balsamic vinegrette. Both were killer, but I extra-enjoyed the salad with the roasted eggplant and squash. Talk about a gourmet salad! Do yourself a favor and go with the balsamic dressing: it's the bomb.

Was in the city after working on a Saturday morning and craving pizza, saw the reviews for this place and decided to stop in. It's a fast casual place where you order at the counter and they bring your food to the table. It's nice that they offer a chilled glass with the bottled bear selection. I ordered my pizza, grabbed my drink and picked a table. It was probably 10 or less minutes before the pizza came out and it was delicious. The small was just enough to fill me up and give me a good snack for later. Location was great, I found street parking a couple of blocks.. I initially planned on dining somewhere else so I noticed a ton of parking while walking over.

Another awesome Bagby experience! After swinging by TenTen for some delicious drinks and appetizers (shoutout to the charuterie and Korean taco appetizer!), we ambled the entire 20 feet to Bagby pizza ready to rumble. I decided on their delicious roasted veggie salad and a small "chef series" special pie, called "The Correll" with spicy spicyyyy italian sausage, carmelized onions, broccoli rabe, and three cheeses. AMAZING. The pizza was crisp and perfectly charred, and the flavor combos of the toppings was perfect. The only things I would have changed was to make the carmelized onions a little more finely sliced andmore "well-done." The wine was just okay (chianti blend) and the inside of the restaurant was hot, but with real pizza ovens you can't help that. There's also plenty of outdoor seating in the patio area between all the Bagby restaurants, which is great. I will definitely be back!

Overrated...perfectly decent but no better than any entirely average pizza place. Whatever points are added as a result of the brick wall decor is deducted as a result of the high prices. My lack of enthusiasm may be due to having ordered a plain pizza, but to me, that's the true test of a pizzeria. If you can't do the basics right, you shouldn't ask to be judged on the fancy stuff. Never underestimate the power of free throws in a game of HORSE.

Bring the Kale salad back please!! Not a fan of the new avocado and mango salad. The pizzas and chicken salad are great also!

Pizza had a nice thin crust but it wasn't burned. Nice crunch. We had a plain cheese and a prosciutto and arugula pizza. Both very tasty. The sangria was also flavor able and on the sweet side. Efficient service.

Never been here before, but I had to stop into Verizon (next door), and had a free small pizza from my Baltimore Dining deck, and decided to grab a pizza TOGO while I waited. The place was clean, the food smelled really good. The service was top knotch. The pizza was thin crust, and had good flavor. I will be back to try this: Herb Brined Roasted Pork$9.99 sweet pepper relish, aioli, mozzarella, arugula, rustic italian bread

I stopped in Bagby's for a late lunch. I had the Bagby Italian sandwich. It was loaded with thin-sliced deli meat. Prosciutto, soppresetta and other amazing seasoned ham products. It was amazingly tasty. The bread was crunchy, fragrant and a bit buttery from the panini press. I opted for the salad to go with it instead of the chips (I'm on a healthy kick), and the salad was very fresh - even the tomatoes seemed ripe which is apparently no small feat in Baltimore this time of year. The dressing was nicely herbal and tangy. It went really well with the sandwich too. They have fountain sodas, some bottled drinks and assorted beers like Blue Moon. If I wasn't heading back to work I would have had one. Water it is. The decor was nice if a bit Spartan. They had nice artwork and black and white photography. Very high ceilings made it feel spacious - I love it when restaurants do this, especially in the city where every building is so narrow. I'm definitely going back for more menu offerings, hopefully with a friend so I can try the pizza!

My roommate craves pizza every single day, I kid you not. So during one of her many pizza cravings I finally gave in and said we could grab a slice. We have both heard great things about Bagby Pizza Co. in Harbor East so our adventures took us there. Bagby Pizza Co. is one of the four restaurants from the Bagby Restaurant Group, the other three are Cunningham's in Towson and Ten Ten American Bistro and Fleet Street Kitchen in Harbor East. I have not tried any of their other restaurants but I have heard good things about all of them. Their menu consists of pizza, pasta, sandwiches and salads, but because pizza cravings took us to Bagby, we were both ordering pizza. It comes in two sizes, a small which could be a personal pie and a large which can be split between two people. We decided to each get a small and if there were leftovers it could be lunch the following day. Bagby Pizza is a fast casual establishment, you go in, order from a counter and then someone brings you the food. The pizza's are thin crust style from a wood fired oven. My roommate, being the boring one, opted to try the plain cheese pizza. She liked it a lot. The crust was thin, but was able to hold up the cheese and sauce nicely. And at $10 it didn't feel overpriced. It was a quality pizza. I was in the mood to try something a little more unusual so I went with the Grilled Skirt Steak Pizza - skirt steak, roasted corn, peppers, onion, asiago, cheddar, sour cream, cilantro. This was very good, the thin, crispy crust had a nice crunch to it, but didn't make me feel like I was eating a cracker. I am a bit of a traditionalist in the sense that I enjoy having red sauce on my pizza so when I return, I probably will try something different on the menu. With so many different options on the menu, it's hard not to find something to love at Bagby Pizza Co.

After a long day of sitting in a conference, I wanted to find a quick place to eat. We found this pizza joint and it was pretty busy, though the wait wasn't too long for a table. We were able to secure a table and went up to order our pizza. This place is not your ordinary pizza joint. They had a good selection of speciality pizza as well as alcoholic drinks. The crust was nice and crispy. The different specialty pizza and combination was really good. I wish there was a pizza like this one in our area.

I love this place. Byob. Right across from Whole Foods and The Bin (wine shop). My routine. Order Pizza reserve table. Pick up wine from The Bin. Get salad and mini tart from Whole Foods then back to Bagby's. Their thin crust pizza is delicious, fresh and flavorful. I love the prosciutto and goat cheese pizza. I took my bro last time and tried the chicken pesto. The chicken wasn't as juicy and i would have liked but lots of flavor. Bagbys has salad and wine but they r very accommodating to allow u to bring in your fav wine. Buying salad from grocery is pushing it (and kinda ghetto) but i always leave a good tip. :-D thanks Bagby's

Cracker thin crust, fresh ingredients, excellent service, and great location. Best guarded secret in Baltimore. Always go there on my last day. The BEST spinach salad you could ever have. Simple menu, not a lot of choices, but what you get is awesome.

Loved the very thin crust oven brick pizza!!! Great costumer service The small pizza is good for one if your hungry Salad portions are big enough to be a main course, but they offer half portions too Soup of the day was chicken noodle, it was also a heavy dish & tasty I highly recommend this place if your craving a good slice of oven brick pizza

Loved the pizza! Thin crust, great toppings and very fast! Maybe too fast..... We went on a Friday night as we were staying at the new Hyatt Place around the corner. We both had a salad and a pizza; both which was great!! Love there thin crust!! Busy as people were coming and going with their pizzas and we decided to dine in and watch basketball. Very casual and nice place!

Pizza and beer lovers, beware! Bagby's is not the place to hang out and have a few beers and a few slices with friends. It's overpriced to be a hangout spot, which is unfortunate since they have a pretty nice patio. Bagby's offers unique varieties on paper thin crust which is light and crispy, yet still strong enough to hold the heavy toppings of the specialty pizzas. We had the sweet and spicy, which was disappointingly, not the least bit spicy, although it was tasty. The beers are bottled only, and are severely overpriced. I think there are other pizza joints in Baltimore calling my name.

Bagby's is a great pizza/sandwich place for a relatively inexpensive lunch, but they've dressed it up like a farm-to-table high end restaurant. While the menu and food is great for dashing in and getting lunch, the ambience is more of a date night spot. I almost wish it was a bit more casual and bar themed - because at 3.25 a slice, I'd love to hang out for a slice and a beer after work. I've been here a few times for a few reasons. A late night slice after the movies, sit down lunch sandwich, lunch to go and even ordered a pizza once. The cool thing is, Bagby's does a pretty good job at them all. They even have a smallish salad with a slice of pizza deal that is a good light lunch. Before you continue, a word of warning, these are thin crust pizzas - if you don't like true thin crust, keep moving. For what they do, they do well. The crust is slightly crisped, the cheese is sharp enough and the sauce isn't over acidic or overly sweet, but still tasty. It won't satiate that CT/NY thing crust craving you have... but this will be the best you'll get in the area. The slices, for thin slice pizza, are a bit small. I like the New York style, fold 'em half - really two slices sized pieces. However, you can still be an under-ten-buck lunch and get two slices, so its hard to complain too much. This warning does extend to their pizzas. A "Regular" pizza could easily be finished by three people for a light lunch. Four of us could have probably finished two. The place where bagby's does shine is their sandwiches. The roast beef and cheddar was great. The side salad it came with was a bit light, so I might stick to chips. I really wish they had more side options there - then this would be a no-brainer when compared to the drastically over-priced nearby deli.

Nice place with exposed bricks and a very casual atmosphere. Decided to create my own personal pizza with their home made sausage, mushrooms, provolone/mozzarella cheese, olives and red onion. My companion went with the chicken parm sandwich. The pie looked really good when it arrived at the table. Thin crust, lots of toppings that were well distributed and a good ratio of sauce and cheese. I've eaten many "styles" of pizza from Chicago, New York, and California to Detroit, New Haven and neapolitan. This didn't really fit any of those categories which wasn't a bad thing. In the end It was just ok. I would have probably enjoyed it much more after a late night out then for lunch. My partner's chicken parm remained basically untouched. The chicken was dry, overcooked, and there was definitely not enough marinara sauce. The "crusty" bread looked very pale as if it never saw the inside of an oven. I did take my left over pizza back with me hoping to make another meal out of it. Later that night I went in for a bite, and realized the rest had to go. In my book, a good qualifier of decent pizza is if you could eat it cold. This wasn't even close.

Checked this place out while visiting Baltimore. Atmosphere is casual and open, I enjoyed the high ceilings and the natural light brightness of the daytime. There were 4 of us in our party. The pizzas give you 8 slices, I'd say comfortable for 2 hungry adults or 3 slightly hungry adults, but with 4 in your party, you definitely should get 2 pizzas to avoid side eye stares when you reach for another slice, lol. We tried the Tennessee Honey Chicken and McTernan. For a traditional pizza feel, the McTernan is the way to go...the fennel gave the sausage a great flavor with the pepperoni. The Tennessee Honey Chicken was interesting, not bad, but not my cup of tea. A slight sweetness from the honey and the artichokes didn't suit my fancy but my brother and sis-in-law loved it..guess you have to be opened minded for this one.

I like my pizza with thin crust. And this place has one of the best thin crust pizza selections in Baltimore! If you're a meat lovers, theirs is superb! Great salad, too! I just wished they stayed open later than 9 pm, but oh well. I may special accommodations to get here to eat before they close; they are that good to me!

My honey brought me here for Saturday lunch date. Well we all know I love me a great slice of heaven. And in my would only 2 things could be slices of heaven. Cake or Pizza!!! Lets get started.. its in a great location unless you are driving there at lunchtime or friday/saturday night. Parking could be a hassle. But whatever. The best part is the you can pic your sauce and the cheese. I think that's great because not everyone like the same type of base for the sauce and cheese. For example I think the sauce should be very thin layer and mild with a bit of sweet with oooey gooey cheese. My coworker likes sauce with more flavor and prefers more creamy cheese. You can do by the slice for cheese and pepperoni only here. I got the tomato and basil .. which was super yummy. I am bit of a simplest when it comes to pizza. I don't like fancy schmancy pizza. I stick to the basics. But they do have lots of "gourmet " pizzas. The crust is thin and crispy but still had that required softeness towards the middle of the slice. Yum yum yummy :-) My honey got a sandwich - Turkey and bacon. it must have been fantastic because he finished the entire thing and was very quiet while doing so. Also our food came out in a decent amount of time. There were others in the restaurant and their food was coming out in about the same time. They also had a pretty decent choice of beers and wines. They get 4 stars not 5 because: I hate those horrible cups they gave us for water. We chose water because they have sucky fountain drinks and then unsweet tea. And also the staff could have been a little more happy to greet the customers, not just us. But everyone that came in while was there. The guy behind the register was just ... meh . There wasnt a smile or "hi, how are you" Or "have a great day" or " have you guys been here before" Just what would you like?

Very good thin crust pizza. For lover's of IGGIE's in Mt. Vernon, this is a close second with similar prices and also with an ecletic mix of toppings and combinations. #Pizzas I've tried. - TOMATO BASIL: pretty solid, fresh, just the right amount of each ingredient. Crust is superb, crispy throught and not soggy. - Roasted Lancaster Mushroom Pizza: my favorite of the pizza I tried there. hint of hot sauce, flavorful mushrooms, excellent - skirt steak western pizza: also pretty good, sweet taste to it with the red onioins. WHY I WANT TO COME BACK: I didn't get to try the pastas which looked amazing. There was a pasta special with a list of at least 7 or 8 ingredients.....NEXT time. They also have a pretty good beer selection OVERALL: a step below iggie's from a pizza standpoint, but much more variety as you can get pretty awesome sounds pastas and salads.

One of my favorite Harbor East lunch spots, with creative pizza options, great sandwiches, salads and pastas dishes. Service can be a bit slow during the lunch rush but it's usually pretty good on the weekends and in the evenings.

Bagby pizza is very unassuming. It's hanging out in Fells, seeming all innocent. You walk into its clean, organized and simple interior. I was expecting mediocre pizza at best. But wow their Tomato&Basil is perfection. Thin, crispy crust with fresh mozzarella and basil that tasted like it was picked out of a backyard garden. Prices were a bit on the steep side but it will do because it's probably the best thin crust pizza I've had in Baltimore. I have yet to try the sandwiches and/or pastas, but why change a good thing? Will be back for another pizza soon! * vote: best thin crust pizza in Baltimore!

We needed to eat the other night and we were down in this area. We had checked out previous reviews of this place but hadn't had a chance to go. Other options in the area did not pan out so we went here and what a really cool place it was. There were plants inside and even at night time you could tell that it was a very open space, with brick on the interior walls which gave it a really homey feel . The pizza was thin crust which I happen to love and I got the gourmet vegetable version which was delicious. It had artichokes and spinach and was very yummy. I would definitely go back to this place.

Affordable, gourmet & delicious! Came here trying to escape the outrageous prices of other Harbor East eateries (I'll review those when I'm not on a student budget anymore...:)) Found this little gem a few blocks away from the roundabout/fountain. It was kind of confusing coming in at first. There was no sign to say "seat yourself" or "please go up to the counter for service." Not only that, but there was no one at the cash register when we came in. We grabbed a menu near the register and by the time we'd made up our minds, someone had noticed us and proceeded to log on to the cash register. Food came out fast and it was super tasty! Definitely no complaints there. We got the Chicken pesto and skirt steak pizzas. Chicken pesto is what I'd recommend. Split between two people, I think two small pizza's is more than enough. A/C was turned a little low though. So be prepared to keep your coats on if they haven't amped up the temperature for winter. I'd definitely come back!

I am definitely a fan of this place. It's a tad bit quirky - wood tables and benches, photography of space craft, window boxes of orchids and a couple flat-screen TVs. Decent offering of wine and beer mixed with get-it-yourself fountain drinks and some frou-frou pizzas. Some menu items are definitely better than others, but you'll have that in any place you go. I could seriously eat their Spinach Salad every day. Their Fresh Herb Vinaigrette is delicious and I find myself craving it on a regular basis. I'm normally a less is more kind of person when it comes to pizzas, so I tend to lean towards the (more often than not) daily special of fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil and balsamic glaze pizza. Delicious fresh out of the oven and even the next morning for breakfast (cold or room temperature, naturally.) My heart skipped a beat when I saw the Prosciutto & Goat Cheese Pizza, but I personally found it to be overly salty. I'll stick to my tried and true. I have yet to find my absolute favorite pizza place here in Baltimore, but I'd have to say Bagby is up there.

Two words. BBQ Chicken. Pizza... Is that three words? I read a few tips recommending the BBQ Chicken Pizza and I was impressed. Rather than slathering the pizza with BBQ sauce, there is just a bit of sauce, and the chicken itself is marinated. Great idea. Bagby makes a good pizza, and is a nice place to go, overall. In Harbor East, I usually expect to be gouged on price, by Bagby was a fair deal. The large pizza was just enough for two, with nothing else. The restaurant feels fresh, with high ceilings and lots of brick. It is clean, and well run. I like how you order at the counter, and they bring it by. Check it out!

It's right across from whole foods and is a more budget conscious place to eat in harbor east. They serve a variety of thin crust pizzas with some creative options. I like the tomato basil and bbq chicken. The southwestern skirt steak is okay, sour cream on pizza didn't really do it for me. I've tried some of their pastas such as the grilled chicken alfredo and fettucinni w/ meat sauce which are all not bad. The one thing I would go to this place just to get though is the steak sub w/ side salad. For some reason, it always hits the spot when I'm craving a good sandwich. I think it's the fresh roll that the tender skirt steak is on that makes it work wonders. I can't quite figure it out. But try it, it's delicious.

Take out on a low key Friday night. Excellent Gourmet Veggie Pizza and roast pork sandwich. Obviously, not as good as in-house but higher quality take-out wise. Since we live so close by and the menu is innovative, this has become our go-to to-go place.

Bagby Pizza is one of the better pizza places I've been to in Baltimore. They serve thin-crust pizza with a variety of specialties. I especially enjoy the McTernan and both the gourmet meat and gourmet vegetable (grilled) pizzas. I'm not one to like vegetable-only pizzas, but Bagby's gourmet vegetable pizza somehow is able to make me come out and recommend it. However, the pizza served here only comes in two sizes -- 10 and 14 inches. So if you're like me, you'll probably not want to share and rather eat a 14-incher by yourself.

This place is amazing!!!! Of course, their pizza is great but non-pizza items on the menu are incredible! I got the turkey & bacon sandwich and eating it was like being punched in the face with freshness, high quality ingredients and flavor. My God, the flavor!!! The atmosphere of the place is great too. You better eat here!

After eating at Ten Ten which just so happens to be owned by the same group behind Bagby Pizza Co we were excited to give the little eat-in pizza and sandwich joint a try. Located in the bustling Harbor East neighborhood, Bagby Pizza Co is a long, narrow space complete with big pictures of the Space Shuttle and exposed brick. I have no idea where the space shuttle thing comes from, but I get the whole sort-of-industrial look. It works. My first gripe has to be about the layout and logistics of the place. When you walk in it's pretty unclear what you're supposed to do. Most restaurants have visual cues that help guide the diners from step to step in the process, "please wait here to be seated", menu boards over the registers, you know what I'm talking about. Well, Bagby has none of the above. When we got there it was pretty crowded (it was a Saturday afternoon and there were alot of kids) so we claimed a table by the door. We later found out for ourselves that the flow at Bagby Pizza Co goes something like this: 1.) Enter front door and stand there for a few minutes awkwardly looking around trying to figure out what comes next. 2.) Take a seat at an unoccupied table and continue wondering. 3.) After assuming that no one is actually going to come to your table, meander toward the back where it appears that people are paying for their food. Once there you are informed that you need to take a paper menu and return to your table to decide what you want. 4.) Return back to the register to place your order, pay for it and take a little plastic number back to your table with you. Note: remember to stay out of the way of people getting their drinks and others trying to figure out what the hell's going on. Yeah, it's not the simplest thing to figure out. I know it's not rocket science...wait, maybe that's where the space shuttles come in...anyway, the last think I want to do is figure out how a restaurant works. How about some menus at the tables? How about a menu board over the registers? These aren't new concepts and trust me, your customers will thank you for it. The Food Turkey and Bacon Sandwich ($8.99) Maple turkey, applewood smoked bacon, provolone cheese, mixed greens, and roasted garlic aioli on ciabatta bread. The turkey was tender and slightly sweet, bacon should be its own food group and the soft ciabatta bread slathered in garlic mayo was perfect. The chips are OK, probably came out of a bag. Caesar Salad with Garlic Croutons ($7.25) Holy shit. What happened here? Did I just pay $7.25 for a side caesar salad? Sure, it was tasty, but c'mon here. It's about a cup of iceberg lettuce some dressing and a couple of croutons! Just because you're in Harbor East doesn't mean you have to take advantage of your customers. Artichoke, Eggplant and Red Onion Pizza (small, $13) I'm more of a meat guy than a veggie guy when it comes to pizza, so this wasn't my favorite. These toppings were my wife's doing. The Crust was on the thin side with some nice char, the sauce was meh and there wasn't enough of it for my taste and I like alot more cheese as well. Bland. Overall, I'd have to say it was just OK. The sandwich was better. The Bagby Pizza Co is one of those places that appears to be trying too hard. Are you upscale? Are you fast casual? Where the hell's the menu? Do I walk over here? The sandwich was tasty, the pizza so-so and from what I saw in their cooler in the back they've got a nice craft beer selection (two words...beer list). I dunno, seems more complicated than it's worth.

I've had the pizza a few times and it's very good, BUT my favorite is the Baked Penne. Be forewarned, it doesn't come out like a traditional baked Italian dish, but I LOVE it. It has just enough zing to make my heart sing!

Good location (affordable metered parking around the corner, but also walking distance from many things). Very good food -- I really liked the barley mushoom soup and the gourmet vegetarian pizza. Pizzas are thin crust, Brooklyn style, with an array of sauces in addition to a traditional tomato based sauce. They have a bar if you want drinks, but this isn't a formal sit-down place at all, very good for informal groups or for lunch. They have a lot more than just pizza - others in our group got pasta entrees or large salads. I myself also had a greek salad -- tomatoes were fresh and the olives/feta were great, no signs of skimping on ingredients. The price is affordable by Harbor East standards but the quality is well above avg. I believe this place has the same ownership group as Fleet Street Kitchen, which is quite a bit more expensive.

I'm a regular visitor here because this place not only has good pizza but their salads are ROCKING!! Their mixed greens salad with grilled veggies (asparagus, squash, onions, etc) with their creamy shallot vinaigrette dressing is DA BOMB. Generous portions, lots of grilled veggies, all mixed with the tangy, creamy dressing Their pastas are always served steaming hot and are pretty good too (especially their spicy shrimp linguine). They have good staple pizzas (like a good Margherita and a good BBQ chicken) but they also have monthly specials which are always really good too (Pear/caramlized onions and Sweet and Spicy- onions, peppers and other veggies with balsamic vinegar).

I ordered the gourmet vegetable pizza, which was neither gourmet nor very good. It kind of defined mediocre. I also ordered the Bagby chopped salad, which was also less than mediocre and the dressing was terrible. Baltimore has good pizza. If you have the time, look elsewhere.

A good place to drop in for pizza before heading over to the Landmark for a movie. A little slow, but the pizza is good.

Awesome date-night. The spinach salad and the mushroom pizza are a GREAT combo, best paired with a fountain root beer (or one of the beers of fancy sodas in the fridge cases).

Love the Philly pizza and we tried some others. Now if you don't like thin crust then go somewhere else because this is all they do and there main focus is on the flavor. I love the pizza when I got extra money to splurge it's great. Small place and parking is rough I find but check it out. You'll get your $$$ worth

We have lived in this area for a few years and Bagbys remains my favorite for pizza. We have taken advantage of their Tuesday night pizza deals (25% off) on many occasions. They also used to do a spicy shrimp pasta to die for. Unfortunately they have recently changed the sauce for this and it now has a canned tomato soup quality about it which has left me somewhat heartbroken. However, I would still highly recommend their pizzas. Their simple and straight forward service is good. Some evenings can be quite a wait for a pizza - but easily solved by calling ahead and getting your order in.

My friend and I wanted pizza and beer. We wanted to go to a place that we haven't tried before, this was the place. The pizza here is certainly different. My friend and I ordered a regular sweet & spicy pizza. It was enough to comfortably fill our tummies with a few slices to spare. The crust was interesting. My friend compared it to a tortilla, very thin and crispy. There isn't anything chewy or doughy about the crust here. I'm a fan of chewy crusts, so this was kinda ehh.. The toppings made up for the strange crust, they were very fresh. It was certainly sweet, but also savory. It wasn't all that spicy. The beer selection is fairly decent and the beer isn't cheap. But, you pay to play. The service was very friendly. The staff walked by to make sure everything was okay and gave us a cup for water.

Bagby is a brick oven pizza shop in Harbor East with a nice menu of pizzas and a few sandwiches. We've been a few times, most notably enjoying that they're one of the only pizza places that I don't get poked fun of for making a bunch of modifications to my order (like extra garlic, fresh mozzarella not buffalo mozzarella, add basil), and that they have pizza that we both like (instead of ordering two separate pies). His plate: chicken parmesan sub "To share"/Her plate: tomato & basil pizza - tomato puree base, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, garlic added Bagby is great - less expensive, less pretentious, and much less of a wait than Joe's... less of a wait, less expensive, and easier parking than Iggie's. The pizza isn't as fantastic as Iggie's, and you don't have the crazy number of choices or the coal oven of Joe's, but the pizza is really delicious. It's the crispy, not soggy, thin crust that we love, and it's really not oily! Our pie is noted to share, but really ended up mine - I ate half there and had the other half reheated the next day for lunch - delicious with just a few minutes in the oven. D's sub was nicely toasted and he enjoyed the flavors, especially the hot sauces that Bagby has available. We'd like it if they were open a little later, but that's really the only complaint. And from a takeout meal on a separate evening: We do comment on here about service, not just food, so I'll add here that somehow it took half an hour for a takeout BLT - while there were only two tables with people in the restaurant, and both already had their food. Not sure what took so long. The sandwich itself was delicious, though a bit messy to eat - the bacon is broken up into small pieces, not in strips. If it were in strips it'd be quite a bit easier to eat, but that's really the only criticism (other than time).

Agree with previous posts, no directions about what to do. In fact you seat yourself, find a menu in the back, order and pay at the register and then they bring the food out to you. They sell beer and wine there. The pizza is good, I had a sausage and tomato pizza which was excellent. I was able to finish the entire thing myself though and I am not the biggest eater. Prices are a touch high although I guess it is the Inner Harbor and the pizzas are quite good. I also tried to cobb salad which was decent enough. It's a long place and you can put multiple tables together for a larger group. Definitely decent, would come back.

Bagby's is a pizza and sandwich joint located right next to the other Bagby owned restaurants TenTen and Fleet Street Kitchen. I like the format of this restaurant, where there is no servers, you order at the counter and they bring you your food; simple, fast and efficient. Bagby's pizza uses a cracker thin crust and pretty good toppings. I am a huge fan of the thinner crust, but I still enjoy a little doughy-ness to it. I have now been to Bagby's two times. The first time I had the pepperoni pizza. The second time, I ordered the duck confit pizza and that hit the mark. This pizza had duck confit, with bleu cheese, arugula and topped with a balsamic drizzle. It was roughly 12 bucks and worth the price. They also have a bunch of other items on the menu besides pizza such as sandwiches and salads. I saw that they have a pork sandwich special which sounded delicious. I will probably end up getting that the next time I visit. That is right, I said I would come back. Do I think that this is the best pizza in the city of Baltimore...no. Do I think it is good enough in a pinch, yeah, I do. The price is right and the pizza is on point with the price.

We ordered Bagby's the other day at work. I have to say, I love their crust. The pizza is very very good. It's a good NY style with thin crust. It was a tad greasy but that's ok. I've heard they have a spicy shrimp pizza which i'm going to try next. If you're in the Harbor East and need some pizza it's worth a try :)

May I say, this is the best pizza in Baltimore! YES, it is definitely April approved!!!! I order some pizza from Bagby recently for lunch. I had the veggie personal pizza which actually was enough for me and my co-worker. When I opened the box, my mouth dropped open in amazement of how good it looked...and the smell filled my office with delicious scents of warm baked bread and olives. Once I took a bite, I was literally in heaven looking down upon those who haven't had the honor to get a pizza from Bagby and I was sadden. I told the angels, I must go back to earth and tell all the people how this pizza has changed my life and that no one should buy a pizza from a chain store again. SO here I am spreading the truth about good pizza and where to get it...Its all about Bagby Pizza...they will change your life!

Nice, casual atmosphere to grab some pizza and a beer before a movie. I was very impressed by their salad - we got a chopped salad to share between two people for an appetizer and it was more than enough. I loved the crust - super thin and crispy - but I think they need to work on the balance of the toppings. While the toppings were delicious, the volume was a little overwhelming, especially on such a delicate crust. But, that's really nit-picky. I'll be back!

  • Phil M.

I tried this place base on the Yelp reviews. I ordered their Gourmet Veggie pizza and had sausage added. Something just isn't right about their pizza and it think its the dough. Just because the crust is super thin, doesn't make it a good crust. It seemed more like cracker dough to me. There was really no chew. I love thin crust brick oven pizza, but only if it has the right dough, and this did not. At 20 bucks for the 15 inch pie, I felt it was expensive for what I got.

this pizza place was such a welcome addition to the harbor east landscape. prices are reasonable (a $10 pizza is enough for two meals for me). i absolutely love their crunchy thin-crust pizza, my favorite being the sweet tennesssee honey chicken with artichokes and fresh ricotta cheese. also good are their salads, including the spinach salad (similar to a greek with with pesto dressing) and bagby greens (pears, gorgonzola, YUM). sandwiches are also a draw, with everyone from chicken parmesean sub to a veggie sandwich. and they have decent pasta as well, especially the slightly spicy baked penne. service here is prompt even when they're busy--which is often, especially during lunch hour.

Oh, Bagby, how I love you. You're a paradise for any lover of enormous-portions-of-food. Your penne with sausage and peas have evoked heart-warming moments between me and my boyfriend time and time again. Your caesar salad is the perfect complement, and your pizza with lovely, fancy toppings is divine. Good for lunch, dinner, on a date, with friends, outdoor seating, etc. The only thing is, I wish the alcoholic beverages weren't so pricey. Bring back happy hour prices. Thanks.

I have been interested in exploring the much hyped offerings from the Bagby group, so Bagby Pizza seemed like a good place to start. I love pizza, and am open to a wide variety of pizza styles. I found the Gourmet Vegetable Pizza almost intolerable because of the large pool of oil it was sitting in. The entire bottom of the pizza was soaked in addition to the "fresh herb oil" on top of the pizza. One must be able to see this in the kitchen. How about putting it on a perforated dish? Seems easy to me. The grilled chicken added to my salad pleasantly surprised me. High quality meat nicely cooked and sliced on the angle.

I've been frequentlng Bagby since it opened. I'm so happy to say it's finally hit it's sweet spot. Saturday night was packed ! You can now order wine there so don't need to hit Bin 604 for a bottle of BYOB. But they still allow it (yay), f you would like a better wine with your pizza/pasta. I was very happy with the new Goumet Veggie Pizza. Artichokes, asparagus, etc. It's a light pizza that doesn't weigh you down . It's my number 2 pizza spot in Baltimore, taking a second place to Iggie's, the true gourmet BYO pizza place located in Mt Vernon. If you find yourself in Harbor East looking for someplace easy to eat definately don't miss Bagby. You won't be disappointed for an inexpensive step above. Cheers !

I ordered garlic bread and a small Regular Cheese 10" pizza. First the garlic bread came which must have been the worst I have ever had. It was rustic bread very lightly toasted with smashed garlic chunks and a little melted cheese on top. They didn't seem to put much thought into the garlic bread because one side was not toasted at all and the other was barely toasted. You would think that they would at least put the garlic and cheese on the toasted side and not on the untoasted side but they didn't. Also, the garlic cloves were still in pretty big chunks and even though I love garlic, eating chunks of garlic cloves is not a pleasant experience. I definitely would not order the garlic bread again. The pizza is baked using a Brick Oven and the pizza arrives on a silver pizza plate. Looking at the pizza, you wonder how they can make it so thin and it not break. Unlike some brickoven pizzas, this pizza is not burned at the bottom and separates easily from the other slices without cheese stringing along. The pizza had a delicious taste and is worth the 4 block walk into Little Italy from where I was staying. The pizza had a little of it's own unique blend and you can taste a bit of the oregano when you take a bite. They use very light sauce which is how I like it. Some pizza places use thick and chunky tomato sauce which I believe takes away from the taste. The pizza had a crispy crunchy crust which is cracker like, holding the pizza is a bit of a challenge because of the thinness of the slices. This is not your typical NY style large slice that you can fold in half, any attempt to fold the pizza and parts of the crust cracks into pieces.

Great crust but very expensive. The large use is pretty small actually. It is definitely an expensive option but they have some great combinations. I tried the veggie pizza and it was great except it came with " sweet potatoes" which I thought it was a weird ingredient. I tried the tomatoes mozzarella basil and it was very tasty excep the basil should be better fresh notepad of baked because it tastes a little strange. Great crust but expensive.

Good sandwiches , pizza from a brick oven and a good selection of wine and beer. Beer is mainly microbrews a lot from dogfish head and some other great local brewers. A little pricey for an everyday lunch most sandwiches start at $8.25 and go higher but their mainly worth the price. Most come with the option of salad or chips. Pizza by the slice is a little higher than some of the other places but it is a little larger and comes in only cheese and pep. Try it , their a lot better then some of the other places with in that area.

Bagby's is probably the first place I've ever been to where I was more hooked on the salad than the pizza! Their salads are absolutely delicious! My friend and I split a small pizza and each got a salad as a side dish.... well, the pizza turned out to be the side dish. I'm not even a huge fan of salad and I couldn't get enough, it was absolutely delicious!! I ordered the Spinach salad and I recommend anyone who goes there to try it. YUM! The pizza is good too, but not as memorable as the salad. They should be called "Bagby Salad Company". Next time I am in Baltimore I will be back for that salad again!!

If you are in the Inner Harbor area, and are looking for a nice meal that doesn't break the bank, you must go to Bagby's. They specialize in gourmet pizzas with an ultra-thin crust and the salads get rave reviews as well. After a long afternoon at the National Aquarium, we drove down Fleet Street to Bagby's. Parking in this area is tricky and it took a few spins around the block to find a spot. Inside we were greeted and were told to seat ourselves, but they did get us a child booster seat for our 2 year old. The menu of specialized pizzas is extensive and I finally settled on prosciutto and goat cheese pizza with spinach and sun dried tomatoes. My husband got the BBQ'd chicken pizza. Both were 10" which was perfect for one or to share. It was nice that we could each pick our own style of pizza without having to compromise. After going up to the counter to order and get our drinks, we waited what seemed like only a few minutes before they brought the pizzas over. They were so pretty! I can't believe I didn't take a picture of it; I usually do. I guess I was so eager to dig in that I forgot about it. Mine was delicious with all fresh ingredients and a very thin crust that was cooked to perfection. Although I love sun dried tomatoes, i wasn't crazy about them on this pie so the next time I'd hold those, but otherwise it was to DIE for. I tried a slice of my husband's pizza and his was very good with a tangy but not overpowering BBQ sauce flavor. Our son ate a piece of both...he enjoyed them as well. Refills to go and we were out the door in less than an hour. We were there at around 5:00pm and as we were leaving it was getting busy, but we noticed next to the building was a small alley that was tastefully decorated as an outdoor seating area. Had we seen it beforehand, we probably would have enjoyed our meal outdoors. Awesome Bagby's! See you again soon!

Best penne pasta ever! Their shrimp pizza is amazing as well. Great interior and ambiance. Delivery is also on point. If you are having a large group of people and want to impress with some amazing pizza and baked penne pasta this is the place to order from hands down.

In my opinion - the best pizza in Baltimore. Had the Southwestern Skirt Steak Pizza with skirt steak, roasted corn, peppers & onion, Manchengo cheese topped with sour cream and cilantro. And it was REALLY good.

I'm happy to have this place come to Harbor East. If you are looking for good gourmet thin crust pizza (or salad or sandwich) in a casual setting, this place is perfect for lunch or dinner. We pop in with our toddler and enjoy a satisfying meal. It so happens that Iggie's in Mt. Vernon is my favorite gourmet pizza in Baltimore but Bagby is a satisfying enough alternative. While Iggie's probably has higher quality ingredients, Bagby is an overall more comfortable dining experience--good food, a staff to bus tables, and better parking and seating.

Very very good quality. I had a Chicken Parm sandwich that was terrific - made from a freshly grilled chicken breast, on a soft roll that I think was par-baked then finished to order, it was a little crunch on the outside but not so much so that it was tough to eat. It was just great. I got it with a side salad w balsamic vinaigrette. It was GREAT and I'm not a salad guy, the greens were fresh, the dressing was delicious and (most importantly) it was the perfect portion size of dressing for the salad. Just great!!! Loved it. A day later and I'm still thinking about how good it was. Yes perhaps I need to get a life, but it was really really good. Highly recommended if you're in the neighborhood.

It's unfortunate...there should be more casual places to "pop in" places in Harbor East so I was thrilled when a gourmet pizza shop opened to provide a spot to meet with friends before going out. It served us well for awhile...then we had the worst service we've EVER had at any restaurant EVER. Yes, EVER. No wine we ordered, charged our guest for a dinner we hosted, wouldn't refund him, forgot to deliver half of our meal, wouldn't allow us to order more, got the salad order wrong...want more? Called the owner to complain the next day,,,complete indifference. No apology, no sympathy. Even after I told him that would walk out of the restaurant if the same woman (Haile) was there if we ever arrived. I give this place six months. It's a shame, but It's good that Joe Squared is now open at the Power Plant...only two short minutes away. Do not waste your energy here. The food has gone downhill and the service is abysmal. Oh, and it's ridiculously expensive for average pizza...always has been.

I ate here while visiting the Inner Harbor this past weekend. We ordered the Sweet and Spicy Pizza and the Tennessee Honey Chicken Pizza . They were different and both were pretty good plus not too expensive. I like the Sweet and Spicy better but that is just my taste. My biggest complaint was the wine I ordered (Cabernet) which was really not good at all. Although from the looks of it you could bring in your own wine and there was either no or a small corkage fee because I saw at least 3 other parties do this.

Ahhhh, I'm popping Bagby's Yelp cherry...this is a good thing!!! So we went two days after they officially opened. It may take time for them to get busy, but when we went it was a perfect little experience that took no time at all. Definitely some of the best pizza I've ever had. And I come from DC/MoCo...so I'm a huge fan of Vace and Angelo's, respectively. I will add Bagby to my top three favorite pizza joints in the DMV area. This is GOURMET pizza (thin crust) btw and its very affordable. Parking is a dollar an hour (on the street meters), so this is an affordable visit all around. I think its worth it if you find yourself along Fleet Street one fine Baltimore day. OH! And outside seating right next to this lovely garden. I'm craving their pizza and it's only been a week. I wish I lived closer...I'd order out every night =D They also have pastas, sandwiches, and salads (and it all looks delish!)

Went here for lunch the other day pre-earthquake!! I ordered a slice of cheese & a half portion of their summer berry salad. The pizza came out within a couple of minutes, piping hot and a little greasy (If anyone is quirky about their pizza grease like me, I did the napkin sponge-off method & used two and a half napkins!! Meh.) The pizza was pretty good though, I'm not a huge thin crust fan but I enjoyed it. I thought it was strange that they brought the pizza before the salad, and that they weren't at least brought out together. 6-7 minutes later, and about 1/2 way through my pizza, I got up & went to the counter to make sure they hadn't forgotten it. The girl told me they were working on it, but in a really strange way, almost as if she was wondering why I was asking about it. I don't know, maybe they were making the dressing from scratch, or picking the berries off of a courtyard shrub? This is Harbor East, after all. Luckily I am not one of these foot-stomping, young urban socialites with South Moon Under beckoning me to buy my next $70 dollar cotton boatneck! (Nothing against that store, they always have cute stuff in their window, it's just not my type of thing. I'd rather spend that on a massage or something, which currently isn't even in my budget, but back to this salad...) I subbed the blue cheese for feta & when it finally did arrive, it was delicious and worth the wait! Very reasonable amount for a half portion & plenty of the fruits & other toppings. Four stars because of the delay on the salad & weirdness of the cashier, but I'll be back!! Hopefully next time I'm leaving I won't feel the sidewalk rumbling beneath my feet!!

#1: When you walk in, if you want to order, good lucking finding a menu. There are plenty of wine menus, menus for courier food delivery, fliers for local businesses, but only TWO for the food at Bagby's - and they're either under a pitcher of water, behind the counter, or hidden underneath something else. If there's a line, then, well, good luck. #2: The girls that work here keep their cell phones at the register and are more interested in their text messages than you. I got a stare for a few seconds before I asked "Oh, does it come with sides?" - the menu doesn't list sides. She informed me I could choose chips or salad, with an annoyed look. #3: Your food will sit on the pick-up counter until someone gets it. I stared at my food for five minutes before someone picked it up. Your receipt has your name AND an order number. So, how do they announce your food is ready? THEY ANNOUNCE THE FOOD, not the number or name. #4: The soda was flat. #5: The inside looks prettied up - but then you realize it's just another carryout place, with nice tables and paintings. The atmosphere seems nice, until you realize the location is in a touristy/high-traffic area, and it's really more like a McDonald's. There's a steady stream of people coming in to just use the bathroom (and it's a single unisex bathroom you'll be guaranteed to wait for), and leaving. #6: For a basic lunch/dinner carryout or dine-in, the prices are a little higher than they should be. #7: The food is pretty average. The sandwiches are pretty dry. The chips are pretty good, though. Another customer's comment to one of their staff sums it up perfectly: "Wow, you guys are still in business?"

My husband & I had been to Bagby Pizza's sister restaurant, Fleet Street Kitchen, several times. We were very impressed with FSK so we decided to try some of the other restaurants in the Bagby Group family of restaurants. We recently tried Bagby Pizza and boy, were we disappointed! We got there relatively early for dinner and there were very few diners in the place. However, out wait to order was still long. When my husband's pizza was ready, the waiter took it to the wrong table. Once he realized his mistake, he brought it to ours and mumbled something about "that's what happens when you ride 11 miles drunk before coming to work". What?! How's that for professional service? I told my husband to start eating his pizza even though my sandwich hand't come yet. Good thing he did because he was on his very last bites when my meal finally arrived. The food was okay but the apathy of the staff was unbelievable. We will definitely NOT be returning!

I'd give this place 3.5 stars. Stumbled upon this new pizza joint (initially wanted to go to Whole Foods for healthy food...hmmm, so much for that!). Pretty modest and simple decor, which isn't bad. Quick service, BYOB, friendly staff -- all good perks. A little limited on the pizza menu selection, but you can make your own pizza. We got the special marinated flank steak pizza with tomatoes, red onions, ricotta, and mozzarella. It was decent. The crust could be a little less 'crunchy' (I suppose it's a preference thing). Definite potential in this place doing well, but there are other great pizzerias in Mt. V that I don't need to go out of my neighborhood for this pizza.

A little pricy, but this may be the best pie I've had in Baltimore. I'm a big fan of the tomato and basil, which is light and flavorful with good crust integrity for such a thin pizza. When you walk in, go right on up to the counter and place your order. Then you will get a number to bring to whatever table you can find and they will bring your food when ready. Outdoor seating is available next to the restaurant as well.

I just received the worst service from a man working the phone. After being placed on hold three times I was told "It's not going to get your order through any faster." when all I wanted to know was if they would deliver to my neighborhood. I can't believe that someone could be so rude. Apparently they didn't want my business and now they'll never get it. DON'T ORDER FROM A PLACE THAT TREATS THEIR PATRONS LIKE CRAP!

I went there tonight for the first time with my wife and we were looking forward to it. We had a Groupon and when we looked at the website, from the Groupon, it mentioned that it was BYOB with no corkage fee. One of our favorite wine stores is near the restaurant, so we decided to bring our own bottle. That's where our problems began. Upon entering, we placed our order and told the person that took our order that we had a bottle of wine. He mentioned that there would be an additional $4 charge. I said that their website stated there was no fee and that was not correct. The response? "That's not true, and I can show you the site on my phone to prove it to you." Seriously? I was shocked. However, we had a prepaid Groupon and didn't want to waste it, so we said ok and sat down. After our food arrived, I went back to the counter to speak with the gentleman that took our order that the website was down, and that we didn't appreciate the way we were spoken to earlier. It turns out that he is one of the owners, which he said. The next thing he said, blew me away. Basically he said that I was wrong, and that the site didn't say there was no corkage fee and that if I wanted to, he would take me up to his office to prove it. I mentioned that I linked to site through the Groupon site and I had no idea why it said that, but I didn't appreciate the way I was spoken to before. His response? I don't care. we don't have that on our site and you're making it up. I tried to plead my case, but it didn't work. I told the owner that this isn't how you should treat a new customer, and his response was the same. "I don't care, sorry you feel that way" Seriously? The best moment though was when I told him that I would yelp about this and tell everyone I know not to support his business. That response was even more outrageous.... "Ok" That was it. A a business owner myself, I would never want to have someone tell me that. Especially when an apology was all I wanted. DO NOT EAT HERE. There are many other pizza joints in Baltimore with good pizza, owned by goood people.

So amazingly good!! i have several family members that were born and raised in italy. i have been eating their authentic cooking my whole life. if i die and my Great Aunt Mary (may God rest her soul) is not in a kitchen behind on a stove atop a cloud somewhere, i will demand that God send me straight to hell. eternity without her cooking would be intolerable. so when i say that this is THE BEST PIZZA i have ever had, it is QUITE the bold statement. my only negative about this place is they don't deliver to las vegas.

BYOB don't say I didn't warn you. Reasonably priced, thin crust pizza. As for pizzas, i've tried most here. I really like the bbq chicken and the margarita pizza. What i''ll really rave about is their grilled shrimp salad with chalet dressing. AMAZING. Creamy and delicious. The shrimp were large and meaty. Perfectly grilled with just the right seasoning. The outdoor courtyard gets bonus points. The only issue is parking, always difficult in the harbor east area.

I have only done carry out here so my perception of the place is a bit limited, so take this review for what it is worth. The pizza is absolutely delicious. I have had the sweet and spicy pizza twice as well as the shrimp pizza. I prefer the former and my boyfriend said the shrimp pizza looked like cardboard the next day so he threw it out. The shrimp pizza is very underwhelming in presentation and taste but the sweet and spicy is amazing- abundant in flavors, textures and a wonderful presentation. Now the negatives: service could be a lot better which is why I am only giving three stars. The first time I went in during lunch I found out the wait for a slice would be very long so I had my money refunded. The second trip was perfect and I was very satisfied. The third trip left a bad taste in my mouth (no pun intended). I ordered two pizza's and a side salad. My food was presented on the counter and the cashiers did not even consider that I may need something to carry it all with. I had to walk them through the type of bag I wanted and put it all together myself (REALLY??!!). What really ticked me off is that they looked like my asking for a bag was the strangest question they have had all day. Sure, I'd like to walk around with two boxes of pizza balancing a salad on top- come on! Also, I didn't realize it until I got home, that they forgot to put the balsamic vinaigrette on the pizza (one of the most important ingredients on the sweet and spicy pizza). The pizza tasted great, but I was angry with their careless error. I would definitely go to Bagby's again if they are still doing BYOB. I am not very intrigued by their menus outside of the pizza, but this is a great option when I want a really good pizza and I am feeling a little more fancy than Papa John's. But check your pizza before you leave.

Roomy. open, reclaimed industrial space fits right in at Harbor East. Pizza's not as successful as their thin-crust brethren around town (like Iggie's or Two Boots). Crackery-like crust is OK, a little bland; toppings a little uninspired; tomato puree base also rather plain. Pizzas with chunks of meat not as good as crumbled or smaller bits; the meat end up a little overdone and chewy (like the Southwestern Skirt Steak and BBQ Chicken). Not bad if you find yourself down that way and would like a non-national chain place to grab a bite.

The food was a solid 4 stars. The pizza crust was perfect, the toppings fresh and generous. I cannot look past the service though. The beanie wearing, wispy-facial haired, sulky hipster who took our order was just ridiculously unfriendly. Although I repeatedly tried to engage him in conversation/eye-contact, he kept furiously typing on his cellphone like a teenager. I felt like a mom trying to deal with an errant child! If only I could have sent him to his room, would have made me feel so much better! So until Peter Pan decides to grow up, Bagby Pizza is neverever land.

I went there with my date and 3 other people on a Thursday night. It is BYOB so you can grab a bottle of wine and six-pack from BIN 604 (right across the street next to whole foods). Corkage fee is only $4.They also had a decent beer & wine selection at Bagby. We had a great experience. This is a much more relaxed version of Iggie's. More tables, not as tense, staff is nicer. The pizza style is similar, but they don't drip olive oil on top of each pizza after it comes out of the oven like Iggie's does. We started off with salads and they were EXCELLENT. I'm not a salad person, but the mixed greens with seasonal vegetables was awesome. We ordered a bunch of pizzas: Tomato & Basil - my favorite Four Cheese - simple, but delicious Prosciuto & Goat Cheese - good stuff, but not as good as it looks on paper McTernan - too much meat (even for 3 dudes to enjoy)

Great brick oven thinish crust pizza but pretty pricey. Not too filling, so I'd recommend ordering more than you'd normally do.

Great prices and great pizza. You can bring your own booze, so that make it even cheaper. If you do choose to buy drinks there, they are pretty cheap. The crust on the pizza was great as well as the high quality toppings they used. Great atmosphere.

Excellent thin crust pizza. The sauce they use is delicious. I stick to the basics and have never had a bad experience here.

Like Iggies, but without the attitude and the drama. If you're looking for delicious, innovative thin crust pizza in Baltimore, look no further than Bagby's Pizza in Fells Point. I've gone twice now during the week with my husband, and once with a large group of girls for a bachlorette party. Location: Located in one of the better neighborhoods in Baltimore city. Easy to find. The premises are nice and clean, with local art on the walls. There is a courtyard for dining al fresco in the summer. It has been quiet and easy to get a table during the week. I expect that the weekends shouldn't be too bad to get a table, since it is located away from the bars. Pizzas: Very thin excellent crust, with gourmet and innovative toppings. Sometimes I think they go overboard on trying to be innovative instead of focusing on what flavors go well together, but all in all, I appreciate their efforts. My husband was particularly a fan of the two current specials: the New Years pie with rosemary ham and the Sweet and Spicy. I tried a small pizza that was half & half of Gourmet Vegetable/Grilled Vegetable. Of the two, I preferred the grilled vegetable which included grilled squash & eggplant. I used to be a fan of Iggies Pizza on North Calvert Street, which has incredible, flavorful and interesting pizza and is BYOB, but I had a bad experience there when the proprietor was extremely rude to my group. After that I resorted to Iggie's "take-and-bake" option to get my fix without dealing with the owner, but the last time I went there for carryout, a bunch of police cars zoomed into the area closing off streets to apprehend some fugitive... Bagby's is a good alternative in a better neighborhood.

This place is solid and easy. The salads are fresh, field greeny concoctions with pretty exciting dressings (herby vinaigrette, sherry vinaigrette, etc) and very nice proportions. The vegetarian pizzas are nice, too. I have the Bagby Gourmet Veggie pizza and loved it--except for the artichokes. Apparently I'm not an artichoke person. Great quality cheese on the pizzas and I'm a fan of the very thin crusts (pretty crunchy). My boyfriend raves about the fennel sausage pasta with peas. It's simple and delicious--and the large serving made two meals. Staff here is very friendly, decor is clean and comfortable, and the tv is on very quietly. Our one winter gripe is that people tend to lot a let of cold air in when they open the door, but no big deal! We park in the Whole Foods garage when we visit.

Bagby Pizza. I really enjoyed my first go at Bagby pizza. Im glad that they got involved with Yelp because I think this place deserves to be raved about. To start off, first impression of the restuarant is an awesome warehouse feeling but homey ambiance. It smells good and the music isnt playing too loud. The people that work there are overly helpful (in a good way) and without a doubt one of the best pizzas in that area. I had the special shrimp pizza (large) and it was a good size portion for me and my girlfriend. I ate 6 pieces and she at 2. I would definetly call it a gourmet pizza with its thin crust and large shrimp toppings. I havent tried anything else on the menu but i will be back for seconds. 1 great thing about bagby is its BYOB and there is a liq store right around the corner. If I lived closer to Harbor East I would make this my nightly hangout.

so far, so good. tried the gourmet meat pizza -- sweet italian sausage with caramelized onions -- perfectly done thin crust. the ingredients were quality. the only problem is that i split a large 8 slice pizza with my boyfriend and still was hungry afterwards. this is very thin crust! i am definitely gonna go back and try some other offerings -- the couple next to us had the spicy shrimp pizza, which looked pretty drool-worthy. casual environment -- seat yourself, go up to the counter to order, then sit down with your number posted on the table, and they bring your pizza to you.

I've been in twice in the last month and both times was extremely pleased. I think there are few places in Baltimore that makes pizza really well -- and this is easily one of them. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The owner is there and can walk you through the menu. Currently, the menu is basic with some very awesome speicals. in addition to basic pizza, salad and pastas on the menu they have two fresh soups daily. Plus, they have a great burger that they'll make with anything they have in the restaurant. I was duly impressed with the super thin, almost cracker like crust. Delish. I'll definitely be back.

Going into the place, I wasnt sure what to expect... I had heard it was fairly good pizza and nice atmosphere but It seemed very commercial driving by. After stepping into the place, it definitely felt more independent. The overall look and feel of the place is welcoming. The guy who took my order at the walk-up counter was super friendly and overall, everyone behind the counter and in the kitchen area were smiling and seemed like they were having a good time. The Pizza (I had the tomato/basil, their version of a Margherita) was very tasty. Full flavor. Fresh tasting tomato sauce and fresh mozz cheese... the majority of the crust was very tasty also with some charring. The ONLY thing I wasnt happy about was the pizza's cornice... the outer crust. They roll their doughs with pins... very thin all the way out to the cornice. I even watched the stick man pop a few of the bubbles that would naturally form in the oven... which I would have preferred be left alone :) I love thin crust pizza but I want some substance in my crust cornice and this was very thin and crispy. All in all, it was a good pie. Service was nice. Place looks nice. BYOB is nice. Location is great in the old Bagby building in Harbor east. I'd say give em a shot :)

I work right next to this place and probably have been here 20 or 30 times over the past couple of years. The food here is pretty good. The pizza selection is interesting and I like the thin crust. The salads aren't that imaginative, but the sandwiches are pretty damn good. I'd definitely recommend the sliced skirt steak sandwich, or the marinated pork. You can't go wrong with either of those. They also serve pasta that I've only had a couple times because there's a considerable wait to prepare the pasta compared to waiting for a salad, sandwich, or thin crust pizza. This place can get pretty crowded for lunch time on a Friday.

Nice casual environment. Staff could be friendlier. Good thin crust pizza. I would rather try someplace new before going back, but would keep it in mind for a good back up location.

The salads and sandwiches were awesome. The pizza was just okay. I wish the bottom wasn't so soggy. That being said, the best salad dressing is the Herb one, but if you don't like basil, don't get this one, because the basil taste/smell is very pronounced. I love it! The Italian sandwich was amazing. They definitely don't skimp on the meat. Definitely give it a try. As for the pizza, we got the Italian Meats, and while it was good, i think the soggy-ness of the pizza made it somewhat unenjoyable. A bit bland too. Maybe the simple ones are better?

  • Rick V.

Simple menu and atmosphere, but the food is incredible for a pizza joint. Pizza has a super thin crust, the pasta is cooked just right and daily specials keep it interesting. I'd rather eat here than walk another 2 blocks to Little Italy and pay twice as much for so-so Italian.

My favorite fast casual spot in Baltimore. Surprisingly, the sandwiches and pasta outshine the pizza. Try the steak sub (hangar steak with provolone) and the mushroom and asparagus penne. Consistently great spot for takeout in addition to sit-down, the food travels well. In the warmer weather, definitely a good spot to eat outside.

I have been frequenting Bagby since it opened. It is a tad expensive, but the portions are huge and the food is excellent. Basically, everything here is super good - the pasta, pizza, sandwiches and salads are all awesome. My go to is the baked penne. Lucky for me they have half portions...! The pizzas are truly gourmet and I am usually not a huge thin crust fan but I do like theirs. The turkey bacon sandwich is a winner. And if I'm craving a salad (a rarity), they have some really satisfying ones. The wait can be a little long, the atmosphere is a little odd, and the meals can cost a little much... But I'm always excited to come here, and always happy when I leave! I work down the street so when I come for lunch, I don't really get to enjoy the BYOB aspect, but it's cool nonetheless. I hear they have good happy hours. I definitely recommend this place if you find yourself in the Harbor East area and hungry!

I love this place because it has somewhat of a European flair. Nice furniture, flower arrangements probably from Dutch Connections next door and they serve their food on real dinnerware! If you like thin crust pizza it's probably the best around and the Italian Sandwich is just to die for!

Probably more of 1 1/2 dollar signs, but great, super thin crust, brick oven pizza. The simpler the better here, but the specialties are still excellent. And my wife was in love w/ the chop salad w/ herb vinagrette. We went for dinner at 7pm on a Tuesday and got a table for six immediately. The service was quick and friendly to boot. If you're staying in the inner harbor and are looking for something quick and simple, you'd be hard pressed to find a better option.

My daughter and I were meeting up to spend an afternoon in Baltimore, so before leaving the house I searched Restaurant.com for a place within walking distance of the inner harbor, and then cross referenced those against Yelp - Bagby's seemed to best fit my needs. We both found Bagby's to be very good to excellent food and service. I would give it 4.5 stars if possible. The wait/counter staff were very pleasant; the place was immaculately clean, and the food was awesome. I had a steak and cheese sub, which has pieces of real steak (like that found in fajitas) and was served on a wonderful bread. My daughter had the Sweet and Spicy Pizza - Spicy tomato sauce, spinach, roasted red peppers, red onion, applewood bacon, Asiago and goat cheeses with balsamic glaze. The food was excellent, especially the pizza, which has a very thin crust. With the coupon, we saved $10, bringing our total bill to just over $11. I would definitely go back!

Great pizza, good beer. I had the proscuitto and goat cheese, fantastic. The ordering part was a bit tricky, couldn't tell if it was a sit down place or not... Other than that great,

Came here for a quick dinner before hitting up the movies a few weeks ago and I can't wait to go back! We ended up ordering three different pizzas and a salad to split. My favorite one was the Sweet and Spicy Pizza...every bite had a different flavor that was better than the next. Highly recommended and very fast service! Can't wait to try some more but I have a feeling it's gonna be hard to top the Sweet and Spicy.

Quite possibly the worst pizza on the planet! And its expensive! With all their hype leading up to opening one would think they'd be further along in their mastery of pizza making.

Great nothing else to say the food was remarkable and filling. I had the Bagby Italian with and side salad both were phenomenal. And my friend had a slice of pepperoni and a slice of cheese both were great he also had a chicken Cesar salad which was huge so were the slices. Definitely will return.

Went for dinner last night. I was hoping for an actual restaurant but this place is more cafeteria style where you order your food and drinks at a counter and then they deliver your food to your table. I found the wine, pizza, and salad all extremely overpriced. The pizza is ok but not as good as other brick-oven pizza places in Baltimore. The ceasar salad is big enough to share but too small and mediocre for the $7.50 price tag. We tried the tomato & basil pizza and the prosciutto & goat cheese pizza. There is so much cheese on the tomato & basil that the pizza turned soggy quickly, which defeats the best part of a brick-oven pizza for me, the crispy thin crust. I won't be back.

Food is awesome, but that cashier with the dreadlocks needs to go. Complaining under her breath about the rest of the people in my group while I'm ordering my food, not the best customer service!

I was introduced to bagby pizza by the guys I was interning with about 6 months ago. I immediately became addicted!!! I crave their delicious food all the time!! My personal favorite is the Italian sandwich, which is amazing crispy balsamic drizzled bread around about an inch and a half of the meat you would find on a cold cut sub. The only difference is that instead of stacking the cheap, heavily processed meat that you would normally find on a cold cut, they pile on the quality meats like prosciutto! I always get the salad. It's excellent, simple, and healthier than potato chips. And why not, it's no up-charge!!! The owner is friendly and welcoming, and has been present every time I have been there! My only gripes are that the parking in the area sucks (not their fault) and I can't afford to eat there everyday. All in all, favorite place to grab a quick bite to eat! Can't wait to go back!

I'm split between a 3 and a 4. On the 4 side, the greek salad was extremely fresh and delicious, very high quality except for the sliced canned olives. Great veggies on the veggie pizza as well -- would have enjoyed red sauce but fine. The tomato and mozz pizza was just OK. Not much flavor. I like a thin crust but the four of us agreed that it was too cracker-y. Serious about the thin- and crunchiness. We sat and gabbed for hours and were treated very well. BYOB was a big hit and nice decor.

Nice, relaxed dining area. Small restaurant with a big time pizza taste. It's definitely a place to go after work to relax, catch up on any reading and enjoy great food. I had the Tenn. Chicken Pizza, which was very tasty and filling.

Bagby's Pizza - you have a few things done really well, now you need to smooth out the imperfections. Your margherita pizza (actually callled something different, tomato and basil?) is awesome. I'd recommend it unhesitatingly. Your other vegetarian pizza is: a) *way* too heavy on the cheese and b) full of vegetables that don't belong. If I want feta cheese, it's sparingly, not melted into a dense mass to cover a pizza. I also want vegetables that add a taste rather than a limp, watery texture to my pizza. Asparagus and squash/zucchni(?) don't belong in the form you're using them - they make the pizza wet and squelch its flavor. Your salads also leave a lot to be desired. Asparagus, at least the way you're using it, doesn't add any taste to the salad. Especially when it's covered in three choices of creamy sauce, all of which completely douse the salad and none of which I like. The greens look like they're selected for appearance rather than taste. Thin the dressing and make it less pungent, serve less of it, simplify the greens, and I might like them. Finally, Iggies *works* better. It's more obvious what to do there. Do you guys have waiter service, or not? It looks like you bring the pizza and the salad to the table, but we have to get the plates and the silverware. When I've been there you've brought the plates/silverware, and many tables haven't cleaned up after themselves. Is the model really working? Finally, you could use more pizza options. Focus on the pizzas (and things to eat with them), forget about the rest. Barely 4 stars because I have something I really love there. Iggies is still better.

we had the mcternan pizza. it was tasty. the crust was thin and crispy, the cheese, sausage and sauce were all on point. bagby's is a close competitor to iggie's in terms of really good pizza place that's byob. bagby's is a little easier to manage in some ways since they have more pizza condiments (sorry iggie's, but just telling me that it's salt not parmesean doesn't help me that much :P ) and they sell beer & wine at the pizzeria too. they're also located in harbor east so that's a whole different kind of convenience for many people I'm sure. when we went we were able to sit next to a large flatscreen with sportscenter on. that's another plus that iggies might want to consider for my entertainment purposes.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
