Best wings outside of Buffalo! They really missed it with the Beef on Weck, though. I was thrilled when I saw it on the menu. While the beef was good, the bread was not close to right. Kimmelweck is supposed to be crusty, not soft. The crusty bread holds up to the moist beef. This bread was so soft the whole bottom bun had disintegrated by the time it got to my table. I had to either flip it upside down and eat the sandwich open-faced or eat it with a knife. Please fix the bread! I would LOVE a legit Beef on Weck locally.

It does not even deserve one star. Went there for lunch. Service was horrible. The waitress was too busy flirting with the manager to help of three tables. My taco was horrible it was pieces of plain chicken in a taco shell with no sides. My moms crab cake was small and expensive and mostly filler. I won't be there again. You can get better food for cheaper.

Mediocre chicken sandwich (at best). TERRIBLE french fries. The were obviously fried earlier in the day, sat out, and then re-fried when my order was put in. My meal was comp'd - so there's that redeeming factor.

O'loughlin's is like a "Cheers" bar. Been visiting this place for over 18 years! Their wings are the best, onion soup, burgers. Jelopeno peppers stuffed with chicken are the very best in the area. Cold beer, sodas etc. Please visit you will not be disappointed!

All that's missing is the darts When my uncle lived in London, folks in his neighborhood would walk to the local pub at night where they'd have a pint or two, watch some "football" or cricket, and catch up with their friends. O'Loughlins is that kind of place. It's unusual to go and not see people that you know. As you enter, there's a bar on the right that also has some booths. You can order off the full menu, not just appetizers. There are always some sporting events on the televisions. I've never seen the place not full in the evening, even on week nights. It's noisy, but in a gregarious sort of way and everyone looks like they're having fun. On the left side there is the restaurant with two large rooms. The place has a nautical décor of sorts which one would expect in the Annapolis area. You can't make reservations, but they do have call ahead which is nice. It's kid-friendly, and you'll see families there, especially after youth sports. The food is reliable and predictably good. The servers take your drink orders and bring warm rolls to your table. Darling wife had the French onion soup, a side Caesar salad, and some steamed shrimp. I had the blackened, seared ahi tuna appetizer as an entrée. Although billed as 4 oz, I think the portion was more like 6. It was a really a nice piece of fish. I've put a picture up of my plate. Our server, Janie, was a bit business-like until I asked her if she waited full-time or was also a student. At which point she lit up and told us about the nursing program that she was enrolled in. I composed a limerick in honor of O'Loughlins: The Guinness will get your toes tinglin' It's almost like you're back in Olde England There's no darts to toss But on the telly there's lacrosse It's the place where you'll find your mates minglin'

We have been loyal Oloughlin wing lovers for 8 years. But the past two times we have gotten them carryout they have been small and scrawny, with no sauce. hopefully they get their original supplier back!

We've been regulars here, but sadly the food has gone down hill and we're left wondering why we even come back. Time to find someplace new. Nothing tasted fresh last night. The applesauce was so rancid I could smell it and tell right away it was "off." I let the waitress know and highly doubt she stopped serving it to others, as I saw her carry out a tray with applesauce on it to the table beside us. The sauce on my son's 1/2 BBQ chicken also tasted very sour and "off." My crab legs were beyond rubbery, and even the cherry tomatoes in my house side salad were rotten. I guess the ONLY saving grace was that my son's wings (which thank heavens we ordered plain!) were crunchy and meaty. Guess it's time to move on.

This place is a really good place to go for dinner or just a place to go watch the game. It's too bad the bar area isn't a bit bigger because it can get a bit crowded. **Update** They've knocked the wall down and the bar area is much more spacious, so my rating is now 5 stars. These could be the best wings in the area with so many varieties. They also have lobster night, which is a pretty good deal. The crab dip is one of the best in the area (we've tried a lot of them). The staff and owner are very friendly. Always have time to chat even when they don't really have time. If you live in Arnold, you know this is a locals place to eat and I'm not sure you can give a better compliment than that. Good food at good prices. I have yet to try anything I didn't like. If you get the fish "tacos", they're huge. They're really more like a burrito. They're delicious and filling.

The best thing about O'Laughlins is Trivia Tuesdays! Seriously, these people get very into it. It's sort of a taverny-blue collar feel. If you win, you can get 25 dollars or a bottle of wine. But I never win. It's really really hard. The food is pretty decent and what you'd expect. Crab dip- super creamy. Yum. French onion soup- VERY cheesy. Pretty much the ideal French onion as far as ratios go. Onion strings-plentiful, affordable (if you're a girl, you will probably want the half order for 3 bucks. There's actually a lot there.), and smell like heaven. The reason for 3 stars--the happy hour deals aren't really ones that I'd take advantage of. No food deals, and the only beer deals are on beers I wouldn't drink, like Bud, or Coors. The beer/drink list is kind of limited. They don't have some common favorites. The wine list is pretty decent and affordable though---I got the Riesling, and I'd get it again! So basically, yes, go to O'Loughlins. But go on a Tuesday night at 7. And be ready to bring it.

My girlfriend and I have been here a few times. She loves the salads, and I love the Stuffed Jalapenos appetizer. For those who complained they are too hot: THEY ARE JALEPENOS!! I have had hotter, and these do have a kick: just enough, in my mind. Food has varied, but always seemed like a good deal. Service was fast, friendly and always asking what we needed, which is nice. Recommended.

A great local place for traditionally American food. Nothing to rave about, but it's close, the staff is friendly (sometimes to the point of unprofessional), and they have a pretty good bar. Trivia night in the bar is usually pretty fun as well. I'm not going to say it's the greatest place on earth, but if you are looking for a cold beer and some wings, look no further.

I have been going to O'Loughlins for over 25 years. It is purely a local pub with food. It is a great place for teams to meet and enjoy the wings. It is also a place for locals. The wings are great, the onion straws are worth a try. Lobster night, Thursday is my favorite. Do not expect a culinary experience. On your first visit stick to the proven stuff, wings, roast beef on a Kim, Maryland vegetable crab soup, onion straws, mussels and shrimp. The fish and chips are also OK. Tom runs the place like a British Pub, he does a fine job and the place has a great atmosphere. It's a place to go for staple American fare, quick dinners during the week, meeting buds during the weekend.

Gotta love O'louglin's. I've been a fan since it was back off of Shore Acres. When it first moved out to Bay Dale, I was worried that it wasn't the same, and it isn't. But it is a great place. Old Bay and Butter wings are always a favorite (especially on wing night!). Roast Beef on weck is another good one. The staff here are great and while it does get really crowded and busy, they keep things moving. Give this place a shot if you're considering.

Serious sports bar with a brisk bar scene. A few key menu items such as Cream of Crab Soup and Wings. Very good wings!! This establishment caters to a strong local following and is a really fun environment. This review has more relevance for someone moving into the area who wants to find a local restaurant. You can catch many pay per view sports events and good bar food.

When I have a wing fix this is my place to flock to. Irish food is also o the menu along with some maryland favories like steamed seafood. They also hold trivia on Tuesdays in the bar area. Overall, great local bar/ family restaurant to grab some grub or a good time.

We were sucked in by a coupon. . . of course. Standard overpriced pub grub. Kid ordered mozarella sticks (actually a first for our kid). She ate one. (We warned her . . .she is NOT a mozarella stick kinda kid). I had the beef on weck (weck=mushy kaiser roll w/ caraway seeds and salt). Beef was not good in the least and the roll was. . . mushy. Small portion of not good beef . . . reminds me of the old Woody Allen line: the food is ot good and portions are too small. Beef came w/ std. frozen fries, brown beef juice (I think (HOPE) it was beef juice . . . it WAS brown) and horseradish which was the highlight Must have been Golden's. Wife had 2 tap beers (OK) and "Mexican" Pizza. Mexico and Pizza are not a good combination under any circumstances. Mexico and tacos, burritos, margaritas, tequila=good; Mexico and pizza=bad. The pizza was not plate-shaped (round) so, a chunk o' fruit was put on the dented side of the pizza to hide the not-roundedness. Pretty funny but, it showed some level of pride. Waitress was pleasant. Service was OK. Place was doing one heck of a business. (It was Friday dinner time). Tough to find a reasonably priced "Irish" Pub in the area. We moved down from Philly. Now there's a food town!

You gone and done it O'Loughlins! Be freaking 5-Starrer from Ol Megs. We watched the Saturday night football games here and had a blast. Great beer specials, the service was fabulous, the serving sizes were tremendous. $9 might seem steep for a chicken quesadilla, but this was like, 10 big pieces stuffed with cheese and chicken. My mom got a spinach salad that was huge and fresh. Husband got a Cuban sandwich that was close to a Miami version. Uncle got meatball parm and this sucker must have still weighed 5 lbs after he had eaten his fill. The wings were definitely awesome!! A little bit spicier than most places "Hot" so you've be This was all on the bar side, so not sure what the dining room is like, but for a nice, good-natured neighborhood, low key bar? You can't beat this place!

Love this place, only restaurant around you can go to on a Monday nite and a family of three can get away with a bill under $50.00. We go for chicken nite - 2 orders of chicken wings ( best anywhere ) , 3 drinks and 3 fried chicken dinners, slaw and French fries for under 50 bucks. Can't beat it, give them a try!!

I have heard great things about this place for their wings. The old bay and butter were delicious. However, The manager who I spoke with was rude. He was reluctant to honor the price online of the wings. He said there prices are always subject to change and they have the best prices around. Outback has a better deal and so does South River Pizza and wings. I ordered 100 wings for a party and came to pick them up at the time I requested. After the conversation about prices the wings were still 15 minutes late. I hope their staff are better than this manager. Their prices online should reflect their menu price.

Wings and service are great. Brunch on Sunday is fun too. It would be nice if they keep expanding the beer selection!

The normal food is certainly nothing bad and is always consistent but the Monday wing night is by far my favorite attraction. $5.99 for 12 wings is a really great price that gets you large perfectly fried wings in a few, but very well done, flavors. Old Bay and hotsauce is a great combo if you're looking for a local taste. Tuesday night trivia is done by the same guys who operate downtown throughout the week and tends to draw an older but quieter and more family friendly crowd. Only been to brunch once but it wasn't bad for the price being that it was an all you can eat buffet that includes an omelet and meat carving station.

Aside from the Old Bay & Butter wings, the food is horrendous. The Maryland Crab soup had not more than 4 strings of crab meat. The steamed shrimp were not deveined, mushy, and completely lacking in flavor. No one else in my group particularly enjoyed their meals (chicken gyro and stuffed fish of some sort). Our waitress asked how the food was (I guess it wasn't obvious seeing I only ate a handful of shrimp), but then didn't bring it to the attention of the manager, apologize, or take it off our check; so I am not sure what was the point of that exercise. The only redeeming qualities this place has are good beer specials, good wings, and lots of TVs.

Amazing wings and draft beer. I recommend the medium boneless and bud light draft. Great customer service.

Quality has come up and there are more choices. Cream of crab soup has way too much sherry added to it. Most places let the customer add sherry to their taste. Could not eat it. Tuna appetizers are delicious.

We had not been there for years and the food has gone downhill. The place appeared to be clean and the rolls were great. The salad dressing on the ceaser salad was not good. The fried oysters were greasy and had so much padding that you could not tell they were oysters. The crab imperial on the stuffed shrimp was watery and not so good.

I don't know about the food, but I will not patronize a business that has a 16 year-old kid scraping up used gum off the sidewalk with a putty knife in 90+ degrees. I confronted the manager, Steve, who responded with arrogance and negativity. I prefer businesses who treat their employees with a modicum of respect.

This is a place we have went to dinner plenty of times before. i had previously gotten the prime rib but the last two times it was so tough and tasteless i decided to go with something different, steamed shrimp. we got onion straws as an appetizer which ended up being the best part of the meal. light and not in the least bit greasy the onion straws were hitting it. i ordered steamed shrimp, which was OK. small but nicely seasoned shrimp filled the plate, the accompanying fries tasted like they were from a bag and the apple sauce from a jar. My wife's crab imperial stuffed shrimp tasted like a sprinkling of crab in a gob of mayo, yuck! the salads for both of us (her a garden, myself a Cesar) were rather pedestrian. the saving grace to the entire meal was our server Brian who did a bang up job. guess if we ever return we will try sandwiches.

I live within walking distance of O's and have been in several times, but have yet to see what everyone raves about. I've read the reviews, both here and on other sites, and I just don't get it. The food is OK, but nothing special. The cream of crab soup is the worst I've had in Maryland, and the crab dip was bland and more like thick lumpy gravy than actual crab dip. The wings ARE pretty good with a lot of varieties, and they do have a pretty decent spinach salad. But otherwise, it's just mediocre. They do sometimes have live music, but with the bar being as small as it is, it gets a bit cramped and dancing is out of the question. The bar area is small but always packed, especially on Tuesdays for trivia. Service is average, not terrible but has never made a big impression on me either way.

A group of friends and myself stopped in yesterday to have some wings for a local fallen hero, Joey Sudo, O's was one of his favorite places and he loved their wings, with the 23rd marking his one year, it was a great tribute. The service was excellent, the wings tasty, definitely a place that can keep you coming back again and again

I like beer. They have beer. This is good. Now for the rest. The have a full menu and restaurant so, the key here is to only order the bar food. The wins here are awesome, I especially like the Thai and the Hot Old Bay. Finger lickin' good. Take that Colonel! Also, I was introduced to Beef on Weck. Awesome! Get it, it's good. I like it much better that a French dip. I here they have a great Sunday brunch. If wings, Weck and wings is all they served. I'd give 'em another star.

You must have the key lime martini! The food is just pub food. Nothing great. Get some wings, onion straw, crab dip, guac and chips, etc. Wouldn't go to expect fine dining. Decent local place for bar food.

The locals like myself call it O's, not O'Loughlin's. BEST wings ever! I love their Old Bay & butter wings. Always loved their cream of crab soup as well. The staff is friendly and their Halloween and New Year's parties are a blast. My husband and I consider this one of our favorite spots to hang out.

Awful experience with this place - i wish i could give it a negative star rating. my fiance and i recently relocated to the Annapolis are from Brooklyn, NY. We are slowly getting used to the terrible food options around here, but this takes the cake. Everyone had food poisoning the entire weekend :( Friday night we were too tired to cook and called in an order for pickup to feed a few friends who came over. 18 wings, plain with a side hotsauce and bbq, an order of ultimate nachos with "beef", and jalapeno poppers. we thought it would be a greasy crowd pleasing menu for friday night beers on the back porch ... wings were good. crispy and delicious. sauce on the side was the way to go. nachos were dripping in cheese, "beef" option looked worse than cafeteria grade slop & definitely was the culprit in making myself, my fiance and everyone who ate them ill the entire weekend. terrible stomach cramps on and off, diarrhea for days, and one thing in common among us - we all ate Oloughlin's takeout on Friday night, specifically the ultimate nachos the jalapeno poppers were inedible and thrown away - the menu does warn people they are "hot hot hot" and no one in the room could stand more than a bite or two. i guess we were warned about those & chose to risk it with bad luck. NEVER AGAIN will i eat there, recommend anyone to go there, and really hope other people are not getting sick. i grew up in restaurants, made a living behind the bar, and know all about the health department's regulations for food prep and safety - someone over there in the kitchen is seriously slacking off & my belly paid the price. having just moved from new york city, you get to know the symptoms of food poisoning as it's so common with old hole in the wall dive bar menus. this was one episode that was pretty high up there in stomach cramps, and pain. do yourself a favor and skip out on this place until they get their act together.

The best thing at O'Loughlins is the Old Bay and Butter wings. They fry them up nice and crispy. They're great. Nothing else I've had there is very memorable, but it's all relatively cheap and there's nothing fundamentally wrong with it. The beer selection is boring like most places: the typical domestic/corporate pale lagers, Guinness, Smithwicks, Blue Moon, etc. The bar area can get a tiny bit crowded at the right time of night. I've walked in many times where I've not been able to find a seat, so I left. The staff is friendly, except one guy who pisses me off by scrutinizing my ID every time I order a beer. He's nice otherwise. The crowd is mostly 40 something locals who are out getting away from their spouses. You'll occasionally get a meat head or two, but they behave themselves. There are plenty of permed cigarette smoking cougars, if that's your fancy. This sounds like a bad review, but I go there regularly and do like the place. You often see someone you know there and I never leave disappointed with anything (except for one bad batch of oysters).

  • Merrill F.

The burgers are great, and I'm a huge fan of their onion straws. Most places do onion straws like chopped up onion rings (ie, soft). These are crispy, like chip-texture-y. The service is awful (hence the lack of stars), but the food makes up for it. Great for a morning-after brunch or a laid back Friday night.
