Seriously, this place is a hidden gem and probably only the locals frequent this place because it's so hard to find. You go through windy paths and friendly neigborhoods and through farms and forests and finally you get there! This place was highly recommended by my hubby's boss that goes there at least once a week. There's not a lot of items on the menu, and mostly are sandwiches and salads, but they really know how to make a good sandwich. Be sure to ask about their daily specials. We ordered the seared tuna sandwich, and the portions are really decent. The slice of tuna was about 1/2 inch thick and almost the size of my palm. It comes with pan fried potatoes and a pickle and all that for $9.99. Ya can't beat that! We also ordered the daily special, which was shrimp with stuffed crab meat over rice pilaf and veggies, and that was $14.95 for two very large shrimps and mounds of blue crab meat baked in a savory cream sauce. It was delish! Also, did I mention how amazing their crabcakes are??!!? I'm serious, the crabcakes had mounds of the freshest crab meat in there, and it was very flavorful and not greasy at all. I really enjoyed it, and almost had to order two crabcake sandwiches because it was that good! This is definitely one of the better crabcakes that I've had in this area. We sat at the window table overlooking the marina. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon. The food and ambiance was fantastic! Now that's an awesome day!

This is a restaurant at a marina. Its not a high end place so don't expect too much. On a nice day the location is great and the food works.

Obviously, right off the bat, five stars. There is nothing I wanted more after a good american election day than good American beer and good American wings at a good American establishment. Despite my depression at the loss of summers day light (read: daylight savings time), my mood was immediately brightened upon my entry in to this establishment. Sitting down at the bar, I was promptly greeted by bartender Linda who informed me that this night was the night of half-price chicken wings. My cohort and I rejoiced at the occasion and celebrated by ordering two plates. They were most delicious -- I might even say they rivalled McGarvey's or O'laughlin's. Buffalo wings fried to crispy morsels smothered in irresistible sauce; Chesapeake wings deserving of the Chesapeake gods! To die for. All of it. Our meal ended with the most delicious of warm oven baked bread assisted by the most delicious home made honey butter. My taste buds were literally cuddled in to submission by the elegance of the flavor duo upon my tongue. In short, my soul literally cried tears of pure and unadulterated joy after my experience at this establishment. If you are anywhere within three states of this place, go here immediately.

We enjoyed the cream of crab soup which had nice chunks of backfin. Our burgers were great too. Service and atmosphere excellent. Very casual, neighborhood vibe and the waterfront view was great.

Great crabcakes & outside picnic table seating in the summer time. Our son enjoys feeding the ducks on the pier while we wait for our food.
(5)Jeremy M.
Nice little local spot with a water view. This felt like a great local spot. The food was good but the request for Gluten Free options seemed to be a bit confusing for them. No problem. Still good service and a cool spot to visit especially if the weather is nice.
(4)Bob S.
I've never had a bad meal here. All seafood is fresh and deliciously prepared. Employees are always friendly and try hard to give patrons a good dining experience. Plus a very nice view of Deep Creek, which is just off the Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Magothy River. The restaurant has its own marina, so its a great place for boaters too. The interior could use an upgrading so that's why I didn't give it 5 stars.

Food is magnificent. Everyone in our party had different entrees and they were all fantastic. There is definitely some culinary magic taking place in the kitchen. Everything seemed to be fresh and cooked to perfection. Beer was sold for a great price as well. The service was great and I would recommend this place to anyone. I would go more often if I could afford it, but the price is definitely worth the portion and the quality of the food. Must try.

After a series of errands, my husband and I both ended up in the Arnold area and decided to meet for dinner. Our conversation went something like this: Me: Want to meet at Deep Creek? It's a marina over on-- Him: Oh, great choice! I love that place. Me: You've been there?! Him: You haven't?! Turns out a colleague of his docks at the marina, and they've been here numerous times for drinks and dinner after work. I was a little miffed for a few minutes, that I'd never been let in on this secret, but that dissipated very quickly into pleasure at having discovered it at last! There's just a sweet, charming air here that infuses the entire experience. We were one of only a few occupied tables on a weeknight, but our server was gracious and didn't rush us through the meal. The view is classy -- an array of boats on the water outside, and a wood-paneled interior with a casual bar adjacent to the dining area. Their food is excellent, especially for the price: we weren't starving, but enjoyed their Maryland crab and cream of crab soups and then split the California tuna salad. The cream of crab soup came with a little pitcher of sherry (again: classy!) and the Maryland crab was just what it should be -- full of fresh vegetables and sweet meat in a spicy broth. The salad was delicious: tuna cooked to order on a bed of fresh greens. I ordered the dressing on the side, and the waitress kindly brought two kinds of vinaigrette so I could decide which I preferred. They were both great -- a classic balsamic dressing and a sweeter hazelnut-berry version. I liked both! The "seasonal" fruit wasn't really seasonal (pineapple and melon in March) but it was fresh and perfectly ripe, and I just ate it separately since it didn't go too well with the fish. I also have to mention their warm, fresh baguette with honeyed butter. I could have eaten that all night! They have a good selection of wine and beer, too. I look forward to returning for a full dinner -- lots of great-sounding options on the menu.

Good seafood, good service, nice atmosphere, fair - not great - value due to pricing. It was dark, so we could not appreciate the location or view.
(4)Nicole F.
Can someone please nominate this place for a restaurant makeover? PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE?! It'd be so easy because it would be for decor only. Food here is good, and the view is amazing. Come, relax, have a good time.
(4)Nurseavi B.
First time we came for lunch I had the chicken chesapeake sandwich and it was not so great. They used cheddar which really didn't go well with it. Second time we went I had blackened salmon which was much better. My husband had The shrimp salad which was ok the surf and turf was satisfying. Large portions good prices but that's about it
(3)Jeff P.
I know people rave about it. I don't get it. It's fine but, not great by any means. I can live with or without this place. I wish the food and atmosphere was better but, alas it is not. Take or leave it, you're really not missing anything.
(3)John D.
Deep creek is a very good place to go for lunch and get some crab dip and sit by the window and watch the water. The foods pretty good and the atmosphere is good.
(3)Michelle D.
This review concerns the lack of proper dockage at this restaurant. I was told that we would be able to dock our 40 foot boat at the restaurant's docks. There were no dock hands available to answer questions about length and width of slips or to assist with dockage. Upon arriving at the restaurant we found there to be a single lay along that would have sufficed, though with difficulty, and a few slips for smaller boats. The pilings are too low to the water and hit below the rub rail of most boats my size. We left the area very frustrated, angry and hungry. Don't go there by water with a boat that is more than 30 feet long.
(1)Andrew F.
Food and service was really good and reasonably priced
(5)J M.
I don't get! 3rd time here...won't go back. This place REALLY sucks. Sunday brunch is overpriced the food is semi warm and the service always sucks. The carpet on the place is probably 12 years old and has never been steamed cleaned. Perhaps as a drinking hole this place is fine but I won't find out because I won't be back. No stars is more like!
(1)Katrina M.
Yum! We moved into the area and were happy to find this neighborhood place. Great seafood. They know how to cook all of it perfectly - and, it turns out, can rock a beef tenderloin, too! I wish I could remember the name of our server; she was awesome. All business, but very jovial and on it. The only criticism I have is the food was a little light on seasoning, not enough to be annoying or disappointing, but enough to notice.

While my husband and I were planning our wedding in Annapolis, we were driving around the surrounding areas checking out possible restaurant venues. On our way back from one location, we saw a sign for Deep Creek Restaurant. My husband asked if i wanted to check it out for a possibility for our rehearsal dinner even though we hadn't even picked a wedding venue yet. We walked into Deep Creek and spent about $70 trying out different things like the Crab Cakes, Beef Tips and Chicken Piccata. The beef tips were juicy and cooked to perfection. They melted in your mouth. The chicken piccata was seasoned just right and was very delicious. Before i tell you about the crab cakes, i must explain that i typically hate all seafood except for shrimp. However, my husband ranted and raved so much that i had to try them. To say they were moist, seasoned to perfection and incredibly fresh is putting it lightly. YOU WILL NEVER HAVE A BETTER CRAB CAKE. They are the best, hands down. After eating there we knew that we had to have our rehearsal dinner there no matter how far it was from the venue. It ended up being 30 minutes away from the place we chose but it was worth it. The service i've had has been good and bad - they didn't seem to handle the rehearsal dinner very well - it seemed as though they don't do big parties often. We were understanding and they were accommodating. Every other time i have ever been there my waitress/waiter has been warm, friendly and genuine, as well as fast. This is my favorite restaurant, ever. Items i have tried and recommend from the menu are: Deep Creek Crab Dip Crab Bruschetta Crab Cakes Beef tips & shrimp Chicken Piccata Some of you have complained that the service is slow - first of all i want to point out that it is MADE TO ORDER FRESH, you can literally look out the window at where the boats pull up to drop off crab and other seafood DAILY. Secondly i would like to point out that it is WORTH THE WAIT. and since i mentioned the view, it makes for a very romantic setting so it's easy to get caught and not even realize that it took 15 minutes for your entrees to show up.
(5)Sarah H.
Great cream of crab soup and burgers. Service was quick. They give you complimentary warm bread which was a nice touch. Casual laid back atmosphere. It was an enjoyable meal with a beautiful water front view.

Great food, nice view! The mushrooms are great! I do wish they would update it some more but its still a favorite!

So, I went here many many times in high school and growing up in the area and it's been at least ten years since I've been inside but I wanted to write a more updated review. I'm not sure if you're familiar with the way Deep Creek used to be, table cloths, dim(mer) lighting, quiet, a nice restaurant for special occasions, holidays, Sunday brunch etc. This place has really changed. No longer is it the fancier place but more of a dated, very laid back establishment. This isn't BAD per se, just different. Our server was very polite, and the food was great! As always. The menu is pretty basic but they do however have their fantastic homemade honey butter, as well as the salmon strudel still on the menu. If you have not ever had this. I highly encourage you to do so! Your taste buds will thank you. They are pushing for a boaters crowd, I totally get it. However, this place needs some major upgrades inside. The windows are extremely drafty, I felt a constant breeze as I sat and ate my dinner. The walls, carpet and décor just look.. o-l-d. I think if they upgraded the inside they'd easily be able to attract the majority of places that are going to the Point for dinner on a warm summer night. I hope this place keeps around just needs some tweaks.
(3)Chris R.
The food comes out cold and taistless. I have been here three times and each time the same issues. It's over priced for the food you get. It could be really good if the chief would taist what they are serving.

Came here for the Sunday brunch buffet. Well priced, food was decent. I liked it more than my wife but she's a tough grader. Good place to get a good sticks to your ribs variety - waffles, omelets, various desserts, home fries, chopped beef on biscuits, eggs benedict, french toast, and various other goodies. Nice views.

We recently went for to the Deep Creek Restaurant for the first time. We heard good reviews and wanted to try it out for my mothers birthday. It was a little hard to find, probably would be a good idea to use a GPS if you are not familiar with the area. Lets get to the details. We had a semi large group (5). I wish they would have larger tables along with window so we get a better view of the water. It was still a nice view from the middle. Cream of Crab, Crab Cake Sandwich, and Turkey Club were all delicious. Our server was nice and friendly.
(4)Courtney K.
Bottom Line: Very casual, almost divey, but offers views of the Magothy and tasty seafood. As other Yelpers have mentioned, Deep Creek used to be a fancier place. I remember coming here two decades ago when people dressed up, there were tablecloths on the tables and it was kinda a destination. Today, the concept is a bit different but Deep Creek is still a place I enjoy visiting for the following reasons: - Casual so need to get glammed up. I like stopping by here on my way home from work when I am too lazy to cook. - They have a bar where locals congregate for draft beer, wine and cocktails. The bar is totally casual with TVs and Keno. The bar is a little crusty and I kinda expect the sea captain from The Simpsons to walk in any minute. You can order from the full menu at the bar. - The nature of a seafood restaurant is that you can get a healthy meal. Or, throw caution to the wind and get it fried! Lately I am on a friend shrimp kick and Deep Creek has been satisfying my cravings with their beer battered and butterflied crustaceans. It's not just the entrees I enjoy here. I also like how they lightly cook their green beans. - There is something fun about winding along back rounds to get here. For me, I can get here without having to get on Rt. 2 which is a nice change of pace. - An indoor table by the window or a seat outside will provide some nice river views. I am sure this place is hopping during the summer, but for me, I like the quietness of the off-peak winter season. Here is where I think Deep Creek has some room for improvement: - Having grown up in this area, Deep Creek is nostalgic. But along with that nostalgic comes some deferred maintenance, as others have mentioned. - The kitchen seems a little slow.

Saw that they got good reviews on the FoodNetwork's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and decided to check it out. Well, all I can say is customer service sucks. They act as if they don't want you there. The food is just ok but attitude goes a long way in how you see the food. I'll never go back and wouldn't advise anyone to go...

Great spot to end a full day of swimming at Sandy Point. Beautiful location and friendly staff and nice decor though the outdoors area is simply picnic tables. BUT.... food is very average. Calamari was dry. Scallops cheesy. Chicken nuggets washed out and hard. Only nice part was margarita

Half the fun of dining at this locale was the getting there. Just when you think it couldn't be here, up it pops. A bit of a back water place but upon venturing in it all makes sense. Great Maryland dishes, crab, rockfish of course. Friendly, helpful service, decent bar selections, fair price. Having said this, serious thought should be given to updating, starting with the carpet. Very big, obvious stains in the carpet throughout could make the more squeamish not want to finish their meal. Spindles on many chairs were mended with colorful duct tape. Elmer's Wood Glue would be a stronger less obvious repair. Water views help to mitigate the deferred maintenance. Granted I'm an out-of-towner but I'd bet your regulars would be tickled to see renovations for the better.

The crab cakes here are very good. My husband and I like sitting out side by the water. I would definitely only come and stay outside. It's fun on a nice day. The inside décor and lighting are very drab and blah. My issue is with the MANAGER and a less-than-pleasant interaction with her. The waitress told me the market price for the crab cake platter was $15 but charged us $29. When I told her, she said, "Ohhh, I thought you asked about the sandwich price!" (Which I did not since I never eat sandwiches.) Instead of just removing the charge and saying sorry, she brought the manger over who defended the waitress. "You should have double checked," she told us. She ended up charging us $20 for the crab cake and wouldn't even take it down to the original price I was told ( $15). I walked out of the restaurant extremely annoyed at her actions. Very unprofessional and definitely not worth it to lose customers.

The Good: All of our food, minus the crab dip, was excellent! We were piggies and ordered: calamari, crab dip, french onion soup, Caesar salad, House salad, Black and Blue Fillet, and Flounder Veracruz. Everything was fresh, cooked perfectly, and interesting! Our waitress, Jessica D., was just awesome. She knew the menu inside and out, and checked on us numerous times. We were scouting the place for a possible banquet venue, and she was more than helpful and answered all of our questions; even provided contact info and when to call. The Meh: So their dining room needs a couple upgrades....carpeting is..well..gross. And the tables and chairs detract from the otherwise charming ambiance. The crab dip was hot, served in a great bread bowl, however, I never found any crab meat, Old Bay, or REAL cheese. It was mostly mayo and cream cheese. :/ We will definitely come here again! The atmosphere is laid back, the food is far above average, and service exceptional. Can't wait for the warm weather so we can chill on their tiki deck, and watch all the boats cruise by. :)
(4)Jennifer H.
Service was great! Though the food took forever to come out, the wait was worth every minute. DELICIOUS!!!!
(4)Lesa T.
"Marina" has 1 foot draft according to hostess on the phone, lol. We were undeterred and pulled in our deep draft (5') keel boat at the pinnacle of a very low tide and never drew under 6'. We figured out it was a deep creek not a deep river, lol. Best crabcake I have ever had. Shrimp appetizer was very good, hand breaded with tasty dips. Great service, somewhat updated interior with spectacular view of Deep Creek. Plenty of coming and going, beautiful boats and wildlife to see. Had fun watching the "boys" drink beer at the tiki bar. AWESOME restaurant shirt with a navigational chart of the Magothy on the back, $17, must have! Appearances can be deceiving, first impression was the interior could be cleaner, has one of those used carpet musty smells, but everyone was super nice and fun and the food was fantastic and the setting is ideal. It's hard to complain about food when arriving by the water.
(4)Luis S.
Outstanding restaurant with great service. Worth the trip out ti Arnold. Recommend the crab dip and the filet mignon.
(5)Andrew S.
Nice little restaurant hidden at a dock between houses. The complementary bread is good, its served with sweet homemade and regular butter. The raw clam appetizers where small, but that's because they are locally caught. The cream of crab is rich with cream and flavour. The Deep Creek Crab Cakes are Excellent. It came with a double baked potato (good enough to eat without adding seasoning) and steam broccoli and cauliflower, which was still crunchy. I despise people who over cook their vegetables. There was only one Waiter with 6 tables occupied. Despite this, she was very attentive. Overall, great place. The meals run from $17 to $28 per plate but u can get seafood sandwiches for $9 to $14. My only real complaint would be the leaking roof in the rain near the entrance. If u want to get away from the crowd and eat good seafood, come her.

Sample Take: I may have to start a new Yelp list, "In Search of the Perfect Crabcake." Deep Creek offered two beauties at "market price," $25.99. ******************************************************************************* Deep Creek's location is like Cantlers in that you need a GPS, or at least Mapquest, if you're not a local and it's your first time. But it's definitely worth the trek. And don't be surprised if you see some loud, colorful local watermen at the bar. We had some old friends, former Naptowners, passing through from Delaware. We picked Deep Creek because it allowed us to drive by their old house on the way. It was an early dinner on a glorious spring-like Sunday afternoon. The dining room has an open view of the "creek," which is about a football field across, and feeds into the Magothy river. Look at the pix to see the view from your table. We started with Oysters Rockefeller, which met Darling Wife's high expectations. Deep Creek offered two large crabcakes at "market price," $25.99. Darling Wife and I split them and a lettuce wedge. I may have to start a new Yelp list, "In Search of the Perfect Crabcake." The crabcakes were loaded with jumbo backfin meat, devoid of filler, and very good. My only qualm was that they were served with tartar sauce. Who would dare defile a crabcake like that with tartar sauce? I regret that I didn't ask Lindsay to remove it from the table. The other couple's entrées included mahi mahi, which they were pleased with. Lindsay was attentive and got everyone's orders right. The service was paced and befitting the relaxed feel of the place. Lindsay didn't nudge us, when after two hours we were still sipping coffee, contently looking at the scores of boats.
(4)Dave K.
The bar food is OK. The beer is generally cold and quick to your table. If you are looking for a hamburger it's fine. Just don't expect too much. But.... this place is turning into a dump. We've been there on and off for the last 6-7 years and I don't think they've changed anything on the menu in that time or the table cloths. We went there last Saturday and the table, the floor, the windows, everything where we sat was filthy. We will not eat on the dining side anymore. Take my advice and stay close to the bar at least you can see if the bare top is clean. The wait staff is friendly enough but they don't seem to have any training or the management doesn't care... not sure. They seem to have a take it or leave it attitude towards their food. My wife wasn't happy with her meat and they basically didn't care. The steak was very, very tough and full of gristle.
(2)David G.
At Deep Creek Restaurant you get the ambiance of a sports bar on the water but food that show the restaurant is serious about its cooking, and not just its drinking. Even the fish and chips, a pedestrian dish at most places, was a cut above average -- crisp, tasty, and properly seasoned. The crab dishes are a shade expensive for a setting such as this, but if the crab soup is any indication, they would be worth trying. At these prices, you can't get five stars from me unless you food is imaginative and something that demonstrates superior culinary skill. Deep Creek Restaurant does not do that, but remains a solid four star experience and worth the few mile drive from Annapolis.
(4)Pam S.
One of our favorite places to take out of towners for brunch- you really can't beat it for quality and value! Dinner and lunch are good too but the Sunday brunch has it all! It could do with some updating as it is looking tired but nice local neighborhood restaurant and definitely recommend
(4)Margaret R.
We stopped here and gave it a shot. We were not sorry ! Crey crab soup, crab dip , and crab cakes were l super yummy!

Deep Creek is one of those hidden gems that you have to really dig deep to find. Even with the signs posted on College Parkway, it's still not easy to get to unless you know where you're going, but once you're there, it's worth the effort. It's not anything fancy, just a nice casual place overlooking the water. But the beer is cold, the food is hot, and the service is fast and friendly. My personal favorite is the Scallops Monterrey.....sea scallops with mushrooms, scallions, tomatoes, and LOTS of Monterrey Jack cheese. No really.....I mean a LOT of cheese, so it's not something I could eat very often, but when I get a craving for it, nothing else will do! They have a decent Sunday brunch, with lots of good choices for omelettes. And during the "off-season", you can't beat their Italian nights.....$10 for a 3-course dinner on Tuesday nights. Where else can you get a deal like that? One note: Their parking lot is just a gravel lot, so ladies, be careful if you're wearing nice shoes!

Saturday, March 17, 2012 - 7pm I'm accustomed to hosting dinners. This time, I did nothing but, appear. I am a new member of Singles on Sailboats. Our spring training class in Annapolis Md finished perhaps an hour earlier. When I arrived approximately ten members were seated and beginning to order. The two servers were efficiently taking orders and offering separate checks. I ordered a cup of Maryland Vegetable Crab soup and Shrimp Salad (Whole large shrimp tossed in our homemade dressing on a bed of fresh Romaine and baby field greens with egg, cucumbers, shredded carrots and tomatoes) I enjoyed both very much. When the dinner finished there were approximately 22 diners at our table. The servers continued their efficient efforts without complaint; ever maintaining their composure. So impressed with my experience, I offered my compliments to the Owner/Manager. I rate dining experiences on the whole package. I.E. ambiance, service, separate checks and of course, food. I'm particularly sensitive to the day of the week. It's "easy" for a restaurant to excel on a Monday night with few patrons. This was a Saturday night with several patrons. A very good experience.

First, I think it's important that I let you know that I am an Arnold local. Arnold, in fact the Broadneck Peninsula in general, is not that big of a place. I have been going, along with most other locals, to Deep Creek Restaurant and Marina for many years. I am a friend of the owners and most of the current staff. But I am not biased. That said, Deep Creek is the greatest restaurant the world has ever known. OK, OK... but it is pretty darn good and many things are truly outstanding. Since Deep Creek sits in a residential area, it seems further off the beaten path than it is. In reality, it is just a few minutes from Rt. 50 or College Parkway, when approaching by land. When approaching by water, it is just a off the Magothy.. This Fans Favorites? * The View. Waterfront dining on the banks of beautiful Deep Creek. There is seasonal outdoor dining and a small TIKI BAR * Atmosphere. Deep Creek is family friendly, but also perfect for a first date. * Brunch. Great value, great food, great Bloody Mary's * Actual real-life people own the place, not shareholders. They care about their community and take an active part in organizing and sponsoring local charities. * Special Events. If there is a local game that needs watchin', these guys will through a party The Food * Apps: Calamari. Yes, everybody has calamari, but not like this. Absolutely delicious, the calamari is lightly fried and served with a Thai dipping sauce that is unbelievable. Of course, if you're a traditionalist they will substitute marinara * Soups: All of them. But, The MARYLAND CRAB SOUP is not only the best I've ever had, it is also a perennial favorite at the Maryland Seafood Festival and local polls. The VELVET CREAM OF CRAB, rich and full of delicious crab is also a regular on the top of local magazine and newspaper "Bests" lists * OYSTER STEW. Some might consider this a soup, but Deep Creek's Oyster Stew deserves special mention. The recipe was inherited from a local waterman. The normal reaction when people get their first taste is for them to close their eyes in delight. Each bowl is made to order, so a little patience may be required, but the stew is worth the wait. * OYSTERS. When in season, an oyster boat unloads its cargo right at the restaurant's pier. I don't know how you get fresher than that. Traditionally, Saturday afternoons offer an oyster special of .50 per oyster. Talk about your local gem. * Salads. Their entrée salads are all excellent and self explanatory. I'm fond of the Cobb, myself. But the standout at Deep Creek is actually the HOUSE SALAD It's a mix of greens, gorgonzola cheese, toasted walnuts, and mandarin oranges tossed with their house balsamic vinaigrette. * Sandwiches: CRAB CAKE. No question. Deep Creek's Crab Cake is one of the best around, and certainly my favorite. There's enough filler to hold them together and add flavor. The rest is just crab. Delicious! * Steaks: FILET MILANO. An eight once filet mignon served with garlic mashed potatoes and a woodland cream sauce. * Seafood: I am a fan of the SEAFOOD PENNE, which is shrimp, scallops and lump crab ,meat sautéed with tomatoes and scallions in a Romano cheese sauce. *Great Presentation and Taste: BAKED SALMON STRUDEL. "Fresh salmon filet layered with spinach, artichoke hearts and Boursin cheese, wrapped in phyllo dough and garnished with a dill cream sauce" * Dessert: I'm not big on dessert, but have always been fond of Deep Creeks Key Lime Pie. Deep Creek also offers CARRY-OUT FOOD AND BEER. If you're out on your boat and short on supplies it's good to know. They have a full bar, and a nice wine list. So, if you're in the Annapolis, Severna Park, Arnold area, Deep Creek is worth the trip.

We decided to go to Deep Creek restaurant last night since it was a beautiful, low humidity evening and we wanted to eat outside after being inside all day. They told us that the outside was full and we sat inside. There was a friendly atmosphere, two birthday parties going on with regular diners. Our waiter (Steve, I think) was attentive and very cheerful, he knew the menu and was very courteous. We did get a window seat and I kept seeing two open tables outside, but half way through our meal, someone did fill them. This place is located on a small creek and the scenery was great watching boats pulling in and out of the marina. Ducks and geese swam by through out the meal. We started us off with a half loaf of warm yummy bread. It came with sweetened butter (honey and poppy seeds) that was worth the extra calories. Next we had the macho nachos- wow, were they fantastic! A good size serving and full of yummy toppings. They were polished off in no time. Unfortunately, our dinners were less than good. One meal was the steak and shrimp special. It was dry and not very tasty according to our 22 year old son who isn't a picky eater. My DH had the shrimp scampi which was more like under-seasoned shrimp in a linguini soup with cream sauce. I had the salad with shrimp on it but they were little tiny shrimp also in a creamy sauce on a bed of romaine with large cucumbers and tomato slices rimming the plate. Looked pretty- tasted so so. We didn't finish our meals and didn't want to take them home either. We decided that we would nachos there again but skip dinner.

Good service and good food. The view of the creek is nice. Definitely a good place to go if you like traditional seafood dishes. Not very vegetarian or diet-friendly, but overall a good spot. Nice place for groups. More of a family and locals spot.

I heard lots of good things about Deep Creek and decided to take my wife here for an early dinner to start our celebration on our 10th Anniversary. We both were blown away by the quality of the apps and meal. Never have either of us completely devoured our food with such happiness,we were so delighted by the atmoshere and sevice ,we decided not only will we return during the year, we have made this our official spot to go to celebrate our anniversary every year! As long as you keep the service consistant and the food phenominal we are patrons for life! Thank you Deep Creek Rest. and Marina.

Food is good but the service is a bit slow. I'm sure this is one of the hottest spots in the area since they have fresh seafood and poultry. I like their view of the water and parked boats..I believe I saw some people come to the restaurant via boat which is pretty cool. In general, the food was pretty good.

Great local hang. This is not luxury, but the food is great. The atmosphere does not compliment the food quality. They have it the other way around from so many places that look great but cannot put the great food on the table. Amazing food, great Chef. Best crab cake in Maryland and possibly many other regions of the country. This was personally attested by a Chef who visited the restaurant with me and tasted the crab cakes. The other menu items are all good to excellent. My only irritation is being served wine in those extra small wine glasses that really only hold 3-4 ounces of wine unless they are filled to the top, which they are not. I feel cheated. Fun spot to have a few drinks and watch sports or to just sit and converse. Nice views in the summer. Boat access.

Had the rockfish special tonight. I have not been here in about 2 years, and I forgot what I was missing. This restaurant is a hidden gem in Arnold. The food is awesome, and the service is really friendly. totally love this place.

We came here for Easter Brunch for the buffet this past Sunday. The food was good, plenty of choices. Mussels were delicious, mini crab cakes were delightful, and plenty of fresh fruit among other things. The salmon left something to be desired, but being from Chicago where salmon is our thing when it comes to seafood, I'm used to grilled, blackened salmon. Shellfish is the East Coast's thing and they do it well. I think the price of the brunch was slightly high (24.95) as it wasn't anything spectacular. But I enjoyed the homey feeling, and the waterfront views. On non-holidays their brunch is only $14, which I would definetly go back for.

After reading all the Yelp reviews, my husband and I decided to give this restaurant a try. What a disappointment. We went on a Monday night, and maybe that was the problem, but the soup was cold, salad was just OK and my shrimp were mediocre. We were going to have crab cakes, but they said that the crab was not fresh, and they were getting it from a distributor at this time. I was thinking canned crab and I can do that at home. Yes, the restaurant needs a face lift, but if the food is great, I don't care what the restaurant looks like. Unfortunately, the food was not really very good.

Whether you like this place is partly determined by what you want from a restaurant, and your attitude when you arrive. The menu: pretty standard fare...salad, burgers, sandwiches, tilts toward seafood-oriented dishes. The ambience: Severn Inn it ain't, but neither is it Chick n Ruth's. An open, comfortable albeit low-ceilinged family-style dining room with a series of windows overlooking Deep Creek. Think Broadneck Grill if you've been. The food: Didn't have a full sampling so this is necessarily half-baked. Wife had the cream of crab soup and it was stupendous...maybe the best I've tasted. Meaty chunks of crab sit atop this oh-so rich soup--you should get a prize if you can finish a bowl given its richness! Shrimp salad was well above average, though a tad mayonnaise-laden. Cobb salad had a full breast of chicken, still warm from the grill--and moist, which is a rare commodity (too many restaurants see salads as where poorly cooked proteins from the night before go to die). Blue cheese was sharp and chunky, just the way I like it. Drinks: A fine selection of beers on tap, though judging by the place I'm not sure I'd be coming in looking for a Chateau Petrus or some froo-froo tropical drink. Service: With a smile, but patience was a must when we went. Looong wait times for even the soup--though the Fordham came out quickly so I was able to self-medicate. A table of ~16-18 had left sometime before we arrived and the dishes remained on the table during our entire meal. Not so nice. Overall: Worth a few more visits to explore more of the menu, including those crab cakes John K was raving about. I wouldn't take my wife there for a special occasion or anything, but for a visitor who wanted to get a feel for the area and didn't want to wait too long for over-priced and under-sized crabs at Cantler's. 3.5 stars

My girlfriend and I visited the restaurant last night for our two year anniversary. We were on the fence between Deep Creek and O'Learys in Annapolis, we finally decided to give it a shot and I'm glad we did! The waitstaff was amazing, I believe our servers name was Linda and she couldn't have been better. Everytime a dish was empty it was immedietly taken off the table, our cream of crab was out of the kitchen before we could blink. The only thing better than the waitstaff was the food, I had the steak and cake and she had a scallop dish, we split a cup of the velvet cream of crab. Everything was amazing, I couldnt be happier with the experience. We had a great view of the river from our seats as well, hands down the best dining experience I've ever had

Went here twice in the same week. The bar area looks like fun. Sat in the dining room side, with window seats overlooking the water. I'm sorry, but I just can't get past the moth-ball smell. Your sense of smell is punched by it the moment you enter, and it never disappears. Unfortunately, more than 24 hours later, my coat still reaks of it! The carpet is threadbare and filthy. Definitely NOT a place you take guests and/or dates to impress them. That being said... portions for lunch were big, the velvety cream of crab soup was good, and the onion rings were raved about. Seafood special (penne pasta with lots of seafood) was good, though misrepresented. It was soaked in an alfredo sauce and smothered with parmesan cheese, not in the basil pesto sauce described by waitress. If you do go, take a clothespin along for your nose! If you don't take one, don't say I didn't warn you!
