I grew up in the Broadneck area and used to go here all the time. Went this afternoon and there were two people that were not so friendly to me. Also I ordered "mac&cheese" and I was given a small red pasta with some Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top and when I asked if that was my mac & cheese he said "yeah ours has a red sauce in it" Idk if he was messing with me or what but that is not mac and cheese.

YESSSSSSSS. This place makes awesome hot subs...we got the meatball parm, hubs said it needed a lot of salt; I got a chicken cheesesteak and I also needed a lot of salt. But, I'm in the school of thought that it is easier to add than to take away so nbds here. Gravy fries = tits. Get them. Overall, big thumbs up for a cheap sandwich.

The pork roll, egg and cheese on a roll was awesome. The Italian sub even better. Great variety of sliced to order lunch meat and cheeses. Great prices.

Having grown up spending Summers in Arnold, MD, this deli has always been one of my favorites. I adore a well-made Italian cold-cut sub, and this deli makes a very good sub sandwich. I am not from NY/NJ, so I cannot make a valid comparison to authentic Italian delis, but, I know what I like. Anyone can buy the ingredients to an Italian sub and put together a good sandwich, but, when you find the exact combination of bread/meat/cheese/onion/peppers/lettuce/tomato, that all of the flavors are complementary and amplified, you have found happiness in a sandwich. That is what I find at Bay Hills Deli. On the wall across from the counter are bins of fresh breads and rolls. I believe they are brought in from a contract bakery because I do not see an oven (I might be wrong here). But, the quality does not suffer. The selection is good. You can pick a roll, and hand it to the counter person and have it dressed any way you wish. Lot's of lunchtime traffic here. Other popular sandwiches are Turkey breast sub, meatball sub, club sandwich. There is a good selection of soda and water, potato chips, and other munchies. On some holiday weekends, when the experienced counter crew is not working, I have had some inconsistent results, but, overall, I love the place.

OK deli. When they are on, they are great (fantastic sandwich, yummy desserts, good service, etc). However, when they are not, they leave a sour taste in your mouth (sandwich is old/tastes awful, cheesecake is old and not cold, nonchalant service). I agree with another reviewer that regulars definitely get much better service.

Sandwiches are OK, hot food is pretty tasty, service is (for the most part) friendly. I've noticed they tend to be MUCH friendlier with their regulars than with the casual customer, and if you don't know what you want right away, you get the awkward stare while you're trying to think.........oh, the pressure! They can be a little slow sometimes, and the prices are a bit high in my opinion......over $6 for a cold ham & swiss on regular bread? Maybe I'm just too cheap, but this seems like a lot to me, especially when I can just walk over to the grocery next door, buy all the ingredients and make about 10 sandwiches for little more. If you're heading to the beach or on the road, I guess this is a good stop if you're willing to pay the price, and are looking for convenience. And it IS nice that the liquor store is next door, where you can pick up some beer or wine.

Herbie makes the best subs in town

Bay Hills Deli is wonderful. I come from a small town so local shops like this really touch my heart. I had a party to attend and needed finger sandwiches for about 20 people asap. When possible I try to shop local. I called Bay Hills Deli and they were able to have my order ready in short of a few hours. Just in time for the party. The spread consisted of turkey, ham and cornbeef finger sandwiches with assorted bread and cheeses. They even provided a separate spread of lettuce, tomato, mayo and mustard. Everything was perfect at the party.

If you want a good deli sandwich for a picnic, a poolside lunch, or a boat ride, Bay Hills Deli is the place to go. They make great subs, and dont overdo ingredients. They have a great selection of chips and drinks, and Port Tack is a few storefronts down if you want some beer, wine, or liquor.

Great deli food.. I especially love their meatball sub! I have been going there since I was a kid and don't plan on stopping anytime soon.
