Viet-Thai Paradise Restaurant Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I was in Annapolis for the day and the previous Yelp reviews led us here. As previously mentioned, the decor is clean and bright. We started off with the crispy spring rolls that were tasty, but really skinny and pricey ($4.50). Husband ordered a thai dish that had seafood and noodles. It was nice and spicy with lots of scallops, shrimp and some squid. He enjoyed it. Our other dining companion got the "baby pho with beef." It's cute that they have a "small" portion of pho for $4.50 that really looks like it belongs on a kids menu. It figures, I go to a new city and still end up getting pho. I opted for the large size though...because really...it's PHO, and a small bowl just won't do. They gave us plenty of fresh jalapenos, juicy limes, individual basil leaves, and crispy mung bean sprouts with their whiskery ends trimmed off. Good attention to detail. The broth was really good, and I ended up eating the entire bowl (which I had falsely promised husband that I would share with him). So why only 3 stars? Well the price (I've never paid more than $4 for an order of spring rolls)...and I do wish that they had different cuts of meat for their pho. It definitely hits the spot for a pho craving, especially if there aren't many other options in Annapolis.

This place is a hidden gem. It is in an off-beat storefront location, but the decor is very tasteful, the service is very good and the food is awesome. I usually hate to share hidden gems, but I want this place to get more business so that they stay in business. My friend, who spent time in Vietnam and is quite the "food snob", said the food was incredibly authentic. The Thai food is amazing as well. You will not be disappointed.

Great little restaurant! I really enjoyed the beef pho and lemongrass chicken.

found this place last minute before leaving MD. was surprised that they actually have pho around the area. decided to try it and i must say i like it. the price was cheap and the service was good. the beef pho was good and the summer rolls were kind of small but it was good so that didnt matter.

My husband and I ate at the Viet-Thai Paradise Restaurant for the first time this week end. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was awesome. I started with the Ha Noi Pho soup with chicken; it was wonderful. It is served with a plate of sprouts, fresh basil, and peppers. You can add the ingredients and sauces to taste. It was delicious. The main course was Crispy Roasted Duck - it is served with vegetables in a fantastic peanut curry sauce. The sauce was one of the best peanut sauces I have ever tried. The mix of flavors, crunchiness, and tender meat were a perfect combination. Portions were huge, and we definitely felt we received great value for the price. I highly recommend this restaurant!!

Where was the Pho???!!!!!! That's what I came here for!!!!! I went here thinking that I would see Pho on the menu with the questionable chewy meat and tripe that I love so much.....and there was NONE. Not cool! I had the curry tofu with rice. It was OK. Not nearly enough tofu and drowning in sauce. The chicken Satay was OK, but it wasn't real satay with the small burning stove for you to blacken it a little. Meh....not even close to authentic, but it was OK. Maybe it was an off day for them. I was impressed with the decor, it was very nice almost romantic. I guess that should have been a dead give-a-away that there was no Pho. Real good Pho places have cheesy Asian decor, with a million chopsticks on the table and a bunch of un-labeled hot sauces. Not trendy!

I visited this place twice in the past two weeks and finally tried something other than the red curry! I shared the Tom Kha Kai soup with a friend and ate a bite of my other friend's lemon grass chicken - they were both very excellent. The waiter also always makes a great joke - every time he sets down my red curry and chicken, he says "here's your red curry and tofu". Gets me every time! One thing - and since everything else is so good I won't hold this against them - don't bother adding the extra $3.95 to your lunch order for the spring roll and salad. The spring roll is small and the salad is just some lettuce with Italian dressing. I was confused about that Italian dressing.

This place is OK,. Get the viet food, much better than the Thai portion of the menu. Summer Rolls were excellent, and so was the lemon grass chicken and pork.

This place is not sure what it is... and they are really not doing anything well... At any Thai or Vietnamese or Chinese restaurant I don't expect great service... but its usually terse, quick and correct... none of the above here... three guys running around usually goofing with each other. Food yikes I asked about bun (meat, vermicelli fish sauce fresh veggies ect) got the raised eyebrow, no pad see ew or Phat si io.. I was thinking maybe I am in the wrong place.. this is a Viet or Thai paradise ... I went with the caramelized pork (which was close to inedible and I am a trash can...) but it was just soy and hosin sauce making a salt lick that a deer would love and some really bad pork. My wife had the tofu red curry which was fine but not great by any stretch.. My son had the Chicken terriaki which was ok but again SUPER salty with not much seasoning otherwise.. I can think of many places (not in Annapolis) to go eat much better Viet or Thai food... Guess we will keep driving

If you cannot tell I love asian food of all types, this was one of the most amazing little finds I discovered years ago and the first of many vietnamese restaurants I would try. It is a cute spacious and bright restaurant. They have a very good squid salad and I can say there is not one dish I have not tried on the menu that I could say I didn't like If you don't really understand what something is the waitstaff will give you an honest opinion on their favorites or what is their most requested or best dish and the service is excellent! Virginia has alot of really great places but, so does MD

Had some amazing Pho here before a work meeting. I was pretty happy to find this place randomly (actually I Yelped it, ha). It was right across the street from my meeting, and I was very happy at the end of my meal.

Since I just moved back to the area I needed to find one very important fix.... Pho. I do love me some pho... seriously. This location popped up as being close by after a quick search so off I went. The overall meal was not bad, but there were issues that made me want to look for another place. There was a rookie Pho eater along for the ride and even though they enjoyed it, I know there could have been a better choice. "The Good" - The cut of meat in the pho was very good. Just enough fat on the cut, but not enough where you are struggling to remove fat with chopsticks and a spoon. "The Meh" - The pho selection was limited to Chicken or Beef. There were no choices in the cut of meat, from brisket, fatty brisket or eye round. I opted for the Beef Pho. "The Bad" - The order of summer rolls had frozen shrimp in them and sadly, you could taste it. - Wooden Chopsticks. Now I am all for wooden chopsticks and did not realize I was a snob until this meal... I have always been accustomed to enjoy pho with plastic chopsticks. Using wooden ones allowed the broth to soak in and changed the flavor of the meal. Not a fan. - The lack of Sriracha on the table when the pho fixin's were delivered. When I did ask for it the poor guy did not know what I was asking for and brought over the manager. There was a Squeeze bottle delivered when I revised the request to hot sauce but I confirmation on the heat was still not that hot.

Went here for dinner with my husband and brought my parents, who are visiting from out of town. The list of things that went wrong is pretty long: appetizers took 35 min to arrive, tea wasn't hot, entrees arrived more than an hour after we were seated, one at a time, several minutes apart, and my dad's meal (tamarind chicken) was cold.I ordered the tofu in birds nest and it was brown glop, inedible. On the positive side, my mom loved her tom yum soup and they took the cold chicken off the bill. But I won't be back.

I went here with my co-worker for lunch. He asked if they had the "pork with fish sauce over vermicelli" (I think it's called "bun"). But sadly enough, they didn't have it. We were sort of irritated by this, since this place was not at all a Vietnamese restaurant even though its named suggested it was. But that wasn't the end of it, their thai food wasn't as good as I expected. My coworker and I both had the typical rice over curry dish, and we both agreed it wasn't seasoned correctly and they made a mistake overflowing the curry with vegetables. For the price I paid for the curry (about $12 including tips and tax), I thought I would get something better. But, not everything was bad at this place. I do give them props for their service. At least they did check us out every now and then to make sure we had our water refilled.

My favorite Asian restaurant in the whole area. Henry the owner makes a crispy fish which is without question the best I've ever had. I go there once or twice a month and order the same thing. One thing I like about the restaurant is this, one time I wanted to order fish Henry told me that the fish was not good that day and he sent it back. Now that's the kind of restaurant I want to eat in! Also the mango sticky rice is really good. So that's what I eat every time I make a reservation, crispy fish and mango sticky rice and I'm a happy camper. Moderately priced good service friendly people. If you like Asian food don't miss this little gem.

I've been here twice for beef pho. It's really good, although not the best I've ever had. The broth has a twinge of sweetness to it that's not quite to my taste. On the plus side, I didn't taste any msg in it. The large pho is really enormous, which I appreciate. The waitstaff were all very nice. Also, I love that they give you complimentary orange slices at the end of the meal. What a brilliant idea! So refreshing and delicious and healthy. I wish other restaurants would do this instead of giving away lame mint candies.

This unassuming restaurant in a strip mall is a pretty good neighborhood place. On the grand scale of Vietnamese restaurants in the US, this one is rather average. They do have pho, and the pho isn't bad (piping hot broth, thinly sliced beef), but it isn't outstanding. The selection is limited -- no tripe, for example. The waitstaff tries hard but sometimes seem a little confused. The price seems a bit high for what it is.

Good Pho with chicken and meatballs. Spring rolls the thin version, but tasty. One of the better Pho joints around. Will come back to try the Thai.

    (4)
  • Eric S.

The crispy spring rolls did not come with the appropriate sauce. The Thai iced tea tasted off, and the tamarind chicken was a catastrophe. It consisted of overcooked breading which didn't seem to contain any chicken. My lunch buddy liked his chicken pho, so at least he leaves feeling satisfied. I, however, leave feeling grumpy and hungry. To be fair, they didn't make me pay for the tamarind chicken because it was so awful and I couldn't eat it.

My family and I have been here twice. We enjoy the Pho and curry. We tried the calamari which was ok and the deep fried dumplings which we did enjoy. The amount of food that you get is great. I believe we pay around $14 for the special curry and we(my husband and I) can either bring some of it home or share it if we have an appetizer. And we both have healthy appetites. =) The large pho can feed my 6 little ones. Just kidding. Its enough to feed my 2 little girls. The service was great the first time, our main server was a young lady with help of some other servers. The next time we had a young man who was not as friendly or fast even though the restaurant was not as full as the first time. But it wasn't awful. There is one thing I suggest they do- fix their floor. There is a line of duct tape that could be dangerous. But there is a cute little fountain in the middle of the restaurant. We definitely will go back.

Service was good. Food was above average. They had something for kids and a decent alcohol menu. This is nothing to rave about but is a nice decent little place.

I read the reviews for this restaurant and some of them made me laugh...I decided to give it a try. I worked in the restaurant business for years as restaurant manager and have travelled the world extensively. I always stick to the Viet Thai combination as I consider it the most healthy out there. So, I went to this restaurant with high hopes. I understand some people out there have unrealistic expectations, maybe because they don't know what it takes to run a restaurant or what is worse, they have no clue about other ethnical food. The environment is nice, I loved the simple decoration and the background music. I went there on Friday night and the place was busy. So, for those folks who don't know about busy restaurants... yes, sometimes servers need to run! I got a booth for my friends and I. Servers were corteous and knowledgeable about the menu, as we inquired a little bit about some dishes. We ended up also ordering a few cocktails that were refreshing and well prepared. Food came relatively quickly considering that again it was a busy day. However, the most important thing, the food was really authentic and it quickly made me connect with that part of the world. We liked it so much that we went even for dessert (mango sticky rice). Don't want to write a long review, in short, great place, authentic, well run operations, clean, healthy and priced right! I am definitely coming back.

If you read this and you like spicy and aren't a picky eater.. GET THE SPICY SQUID SALAD. That is my tip and my review. Thank me later. I don't know nothin' about anything else.

Okay- The prices were ridiculous. I'm comparing everything to Southern California- which I'll have to get over I guess. $15 for most of the items? It didn't seem like typical Vietnamese menu. The menu listed 33 beer (I love), but of course they don't carry it. They were working on some sort of vacuum the day we came in. It was Loud enough to honestly hurt my ears, and constant. My (Vietnamese) husband asked them if they could stop working on it while we were there. They said no. I refused to order and left. He stayed and had Pho which had a layer of grease floating on top and was sub par at best. I returned to the restaurant and witnessed an owner of the adjoining business complaining that they also could hear the noise in their shop, and that it was bad business- I agree.

I'm not impressed. I got the pad Thai and tom yum koong. The pad Thai seemed to lack flavor all together and the tom yum had a very strange artificial flavor to it. However, I have not found a good Thai restaurant in the Annapolis area and have tried a few places.

I should checked Yelp first! I went in on an early Friday dinner run after being famished from a hard day's work. It wasn't crowded but my food still took way too long to come out. The server put in the wrong order and I tried to tell the guy bringing the food out but he didn't understand what I was saying. The curry was really, really bland. I've had better curry at Wegmans and its cheaper. Once I saw the clientele that frequented the place I realized they probably cater to patrons who don't eat seasoned food... I ordered the tamarind chicken for my son and he said it was spicy, not good for the kiddies. There was no indicator next to the dish to say it was spicy. I tried a piece and it did have a little kick to it. They have their seasoning levels confused. I won't be going back to this restaurant. I agree with the other reviews about the restaurant being confused to what it wants to be. I had Vietnamese and Thai dishes and they both were sub standard.

Just moved to Annapolis and decided to try this place. I ordered a seafood combo entree and my man ordered a beef pho. He said his pho was ok, had much better some place else. Mine was just ok also and I thought for a $16.00 entree, seafood quantity and quality looked very sad. The service was acceptable. I will not be returning to this place again.

The worst place ever. The pho came out in a small bowl. The broth was so dark and it tasted too salty. The wontons and curry was alright. It wasnt that good compare to other places I have tried. Also, it wasn't enough for me to eat; I have to order some more food to eat. I don't recommend this place.

There aren't many good Vietnamese restaurants around unless you're willing to go to Silver Spring or Virginia. My boyfriend took me to Viet-Thai Paradise for dinner and it was really good compared to a lot of the Vietnamese places spouting up here and there. I had the grilled lemongrass teriyaki pork with vermicelli rice noodle. My boyfriend got the grilled lemongrass beef with vermicelli rice noodle. The grilled meats were fantastic!! Tender and full of mouth-watering flavor, citrusy from the lemongrass. Our bowls came topped with shredded iceburg lettuce and pickled carrot and daikon radish strips. The fish sauce for our entrees was a bit bland and I wished there was some more fish sauce and lime on the side to add a small kick. My guess is that they eased up on making a more flavorful fish sauce to accommodate American tastes (not everyone likes fish sauce). Great dish for a warm summer day. We also ordered the grilled beef wrapped in grape leaves. Again, the meat tasted wonderful, but the dipping sauce was a bit bland. Thai iced tea was very good, though a bit on the sweet side. Nothing a little melted ice can't fix. My only complaint is that they are extremely expensive for what the food is. The dishes we ordered are very simple and I feel like we were charged double the price of what it should have been. However, the service was wonderful. The waiters and waitresses were very nice and made sure we were happy. Most other Viet places that are showing up in the area have cheaper prices, but their food is either yuck or just OK with horrible service. I'd much rather pay more $ for great food with good service. They don't seem to specialize in Pho, so I doubt their Pho is spectacular. Other than that, I'd definitely recommend this spot if you want Viet-Thai food in the Annapolis area.

As you can see from my last review it has been a long time since I was last here. So many Asian restaurants have opened up that it has taken me quite awhile to make my way through them all...smile. What I noticed first in coming back is that they are still very welcoming, the place is as bright and clean as ever, and it is just a lovely environment for having a relaxing lunch. We ordered the must-do made from scratch lemonades right off, and they are as wonderful as ever. But, sadly, that is where the positives ended. The food was pretty dismal. The Pad Thai was so sadly inferior to Lemongrass that it is not even in the same league. The same was true for the Chicken Teriyaki--terribly oversalted and so inferior to Ziki's in Towne Center. The Caramel dish was likewise way too salty. The Shrimp dish whicn advertised jumbos, turned out to be fairly small shrimp in a bland, uninspired sauce. The spring rolls were inedible with a watery vinegrette type dipping sauce. Communication was difficult and there doesn't seem to be anything offerred on their menu that has the kind of taste combination that we were looking for. It will be a lot longer before I get this way again

I had a great time here. My friend and I split some small plates but what impressed us the most was the service. We sat at the bar. The bartenders were SO friendly. The service was perfect. They were watching a soccer game and they had a bet on it so they were slapping each others backs and making fun of one another. It was hilarious. We had a great time because of them

The decor isn't bad. The staff is quick and courteous. Oddly, the background music is an odd mix of 70s elevator songs. I even heard the theme song from an old Clint Eastwood western. Should I have worn a six gun? The food was a letdown though. Kind of generic strip mall chicken pad Thai. The Thai iced tea did not show separate tea and cream so may have been pre-made. Overall, it is an adequate lunch, if I worked in the area. Otherwise, Lemongrass is a hundred times better.

are you kidding me? this restaurant can even call itself an eatery? I ordered a No. 1 pho. a big bowl coming out with about a few strings of noodles, not even the size of a 3-mo baby's fist. five thin slices of beef and that's it. this piece of skunk costed me $12. I came from boston - a way pricey area than annapolis, MD. for this kind of price in the bean town, I could get a full bowl of noodles, beef enough to cover the whole bowl and some more, and all sorts of beefy delicacies. honestly, I don't know how the nice people of this beautiful city can even tolerate such a place to call itself a restaurant. I have been travelling to all different cities in the states, this bowl of pho is by far the most ridiculously charged plate I have ever ordered.

This rating is for my first visit. I'll set the scene. Early afternoon Saturday, clear beautiful day - Slow time for restaurants in general and this was no exception. I ordered the Larb Gai and spring rolls off the appetizer menu for my girlfriend and I. I didn't get a chance to eat the rolls as she loved them but didn't notice because the Larb was amazing. The right spice (hot) balance with perfect flavor. I grew up eating Thai and am usually disappointed but this visit is warranting many more. We ordered pho (that was our original reading for stopping as I usually steer clear of Asian fusions especially Thai-Vietnamese). It was equally as good. I give them 5 stars because that what a restaurant deserves when the service is great and the food makes you excited to return.

I've been here a number of times but never took the time to review until now. I bought a deal for 10 for 20 worth of food and popped in here on a cold Saturday night. The place was not busy and we got booth in the corner. I've only tried two things here... the Pad Thai and the Pho.. so I apologize if this isn't a thourough review. The Pad Thai is great, very fresh - I like Lemongrass or Carlson's better, however this one is spicier and very tasty. We ordered a sampler appetizer. It had the Chicken Satay, the Beef on a stick (that is so not the name), and some coconut shrimp, and spring rolls. I'm glad we got this so I could extend my palate a bit! All were good, especially the beef! The chicken was tasty too. Moist (ew) and flavorful. I think the spring rolls need to be bigger. Beware if you order this as an appetizer. They are teeny tiny, The pho, is great. It is so tasty, the broth is wonderful and it is not over salted which I like. There are two sizes. I got the small but I wish I had gone for the large, as I have in the past. For a cheap-thai place, this place is nice inside they were nicely decorated for Christmas, the servers are dressed very nicely and the service is great! They have some interesting cocktails but I Normally go with tea! I'll be back again I'm sure in the near future. Winter = pho time.

Sorry guys... this place has to figure out their dishes or you're just being fooled into thinking it's Viet/Thai food. The larb (Thai dish) was made with Lucus seasoning, interesting but not larb. The chicken pho had two size small ($8) and large ($12) Small = kid size Large = normal pho bowl. Bottom line: Save yourself the drive and place needs to fix the gouging price points.

Food was good, not great. The service was terrible, my husband ordered one thing and got a completely different thing. Then when he told them they made a mistake he got another completely different thing. I ordered a spring roll and got a veggie egg roll. It was extremely frustrating. These people need to learn their menu. Living in California a large pho never cost 11.99 it cost about 9$ they are overpriced for mediocre Vietnamese food.

Well I was craving some pho because it's kinda cold in MD. Wrong choice of restaurant to do so. It was nearby my hotel so I gave it a try. The Pho broth extremely bland. My buddy's pad see ew was also bland. Wait staff was kinda oblivious to us as far as service. And LAST but not least when the heck has ANY PHO restaurant used AMERICAN meatballs for their Bo Vien. My thoughts were WTF?!?! Killed my craving man! Don't go here folks if you're looking for anything authentic or at least authentic tasting. Make the extra trip to some place that has better food!

My boyfriends mother is from Thailand and my best friends mother is from Vietnam. I have grown up on authentic Asian food. I'm not sure why this place is rated the way it is. The staff was beyond attentive and the owner was a gem. He was extremely knowledgable on not only on his menu but also on the culture. This place exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be back!!! The flavor of the food was impeccable! Thank you for such a great visit!! :)

Oh the woes of finding halfway decent Asian food in Annapolis... Stopped by for a weekday lunch here and ordered for starters CURRIED CALAMARI and THAI PEANUT CHICKEN SATE. The calamari had no hint of curry taste and was heavily breaded. The chicken was nicely grilled and then sauced with a sticky sweet, spicy sauce! Not too bad for Round One. Round Two consisted of the GRILLED SHRIMP VERMICELLI NOODLE BOWL and the PHO TAI. The pho broth was not fresh at all...probably something they had left over from yesterday's service. Shrimp was nicely grilled but the composition of rice noodles and bean sprouts was nothing you would want to come back for. Service is attentive and great but the food is subpar. If they seat you at a booth, do yourself a favor and do not look at the mini-blinds. Do try the FRESH LEMONADE. It's definitely legit with the smooth cube-shaped Vietnamese style ice cubes and the tartness of freshly squeezed limes and a healthy amount of sugar to round it out.

We typically go to Saigon Palace in Edgewater for our pho in the area, but decided to give this place a try. The good: wait staff was friendly and the pho was delicious. With that said, this was the smallest bowl of pho I have ever had in my entire life. Any other pho place you go to the small will be bigger than this place's large. The small here is not any cheaper than other place's smalls either. On top of that there are only two pho options: beef (pho tai) and chicken (pho ga). I can't speak to the other items on the menu, but if you're looking for a pho restaurant I would go elsewhere.

Great Phó and Thai food .... friendly staff, attentive management, clean and comfortable. Awesome low fat meals, a must try !!! .... with me being on a strict low fat diet I can stay on track without sacrificing flavor. My favorite is the Chicken Phó Soup! .... I can't say enough about how delicious the food is here, do yourself a favor and check them out when in Annapolis!

I need to read these reviews more carefully. What a poor experience. I went here on a work day around 2:30 pm. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted or offered a table. There were 4 other customers. I sat myself. I ordered the duck/chicken dumplings and grilled shrimp with noodles from the lunch menu. Both were mediocre. The shrimp was good but way to many noodles. The price was reasonable but I would not return here.

This place is very OVERPRICED. For example, we ordered a small pho and standard pho large bowl cost 8.25. The bowl they served it in was a kiddie bowl that once i stirred the noodles, the soup would spill over. Very SMALL!!! They were not only cheap in providing small portion of noodle soup, but also provided us only TWO basil leaves. TWO!!!! The crispy spring rolls were $5 and they were finger size small!!! Everything was a very small portion for a large price. The owner obviously cares only about making money and not providing a good service to customers!! I hope they loose this business. They dont deserve our money!!! Never coming back here again!!

Wow, what happened! The Small PHO was larger for the price and the large PHO is pushing $12. It is Broth people. Having 6 pieces of beef does not make it a lunch serving. UPDATE: Double wow! i made a remark to the waitress and the manager came out to apologize. They were looking at differenr presentations.... Have not seen such courtesy in a looong time (On the house). Ill be back. It is awesone PHO, once the sizing settles.... Did leave a Good tip.... Thank you....

I ordered their summer roll. The menu says it's wrapped in soaked rice paper, with vermicelli noodles, shrimp and pork, leafy greens, mint, cucumber and chives... Well all I got was noodles shrimp and lettuce! Don't waste your money! Go somewhere else! This restaurant has to be a front for something else!

Obvious change in Management, once a Vietnamese run, very good Asian dining has now been replaced by poor and under staffed service. Our dinner was served but they didn't give us any plates or utensils. We had to get our own utensils because there is only one server for the entire restaurant on a Sunday night. My Vietnamese ice coffee was weak and the Tai iced tea was watered down. The sizzling beef was too chewy and the caramelized pork serving was appetizer size. Avoid this place at all costs. If you want good Vietnamese food go to VN Noodle in Crofton. Better Huong Viet Falls Church. Best Minhs in Arlington.

Yes new owner - friendly professional woman who appears to care about quality of food and service Fresh vegetables , fish - all went well. A bit too much sauce for my liking but informed ask for less in next order. I hope they add brown rice rather than bland white A must return for thai-viet food!!

This is our "go to" place for Viet Thai food in the Annapolis area. They have an extremely varied menu and we have had nothing but excellent food. Easy parking and friendly service. We particularly enjoy the seafood stir fry. We try to get there a couple of times per month.

Woowwww. I'm just passing by this city (not native to this area) but this is by far the best damn Thai food I've ever had in Maryland. I ordered the fried tofu coconut curry -- it's sooo good. Not sure how to describe but it's a fusion of Vietnamese and Thai flavors. Customer service is awesome and the environment is superior. The setting is romantic. They also gave us hot towels at the end to wipe off our hands. This is a must visit restaurant!

It took 60 minutes for us to get our food. The place was empty. They said the delay was the Vietnamese pancakes, but the pancakes were cold when they came out. The food was mediocre to bad. When we asked for the bill they asked us to repeat what we ordered. Seriously! When we complained they offered us ice cream. The last thing we wanted was to spend anymore time there.

This place looks very nice inside, but don't be fooled. Stopped in once for spring rolls, and there were very mediocre, the only real flavor being way too much black pepper. Stopped in another time for a Thai iced tea, and watched the guy mix my drink from a packet. It tasted more like non-dairy creamer than tea. I can't believe I paid $3.71 for that!!!

We've been here a number of times. It is a bit far from home but worth the trip. We have a number of favorite dishes but the pho in particular is outstanding. It's a regular on our list of "don't want to cook tonight" places. Good food at a good value.

A very pleasant surprise, and a nice and clean atmosphere. Food was done well at very reasonable prices. The spicy lemongrass chicken had the perfect amount of kick to it. The pho had a very nice broth. Also ordered the Vietnamese pancake stuffed with chicken and shrimp. A little greasy and underseasoned which is why one star was taken away. Overall a very good experience, will be back.

Horrible crab asparagus soup. So foul smelling I couldn't eat it. I love crabs and this was clearly bad crab meat. They took it off my bill but my take home, 2 fried rice and one curry was 40$ way over priced. Pho has only steak as meat option. Try Saigon Palace in Edgewater for real pho!

This place is fantabulous! We've come here a number of times and they are great. The customer service is super. They remember us everytime and always greet us with a smile. The food is great, pho, the appetizer medley and Thai ice tea are superb but we honestly come back for the customer service as much as the food. This is one of those businesses you want to see suceed. The restaurant is a good size, the food is yummy, and the bathrooms are clean too.

The food tasted like industrial chemicals. As I've been to neither Vietnam nor Thailand (never mind, I have been to Thailand), I can't argue authenticity. I can, however, compare it to the 20 Thai places I've grazed during my tenure in Seattle and have to say the food here was pretty bad. It's tough to screw up Pad Thai and curry, but. it. happened. The vegetables tasted canned, the sauce was bland (I should write songs)(even though I went out of my way to order it extra spicy), the meat was flavorless. The presentation wasn't even attractive. It tasted terrible, and for the first time in my life contemplated *not* finishing the entire meal. That's a big deal. And at $15 a plate, it's not cheap. You can get a whole pizza for that much. On the other hand, the staff was very friendly, and the decor was pleasant. They even had what looked like a few exotic beers in the back that I didn't stick around to try. The Thai iced tea was prepared right in front of me using packaged iced tea mix. Not very classy. From the food alone, this would have been a one-star review. The great staff and atmosphere brought it up a star, but I will be looking elsewhere for my Viet-Thai fix in the future.

Viet-Thai Paradise truly has the hostess with the mostest. I ate here twice in two days while my mom was at a nearby hospital and ordered the Phò both times. The Phò is really good as were the spring rolls and the Carmelized Pork my wife ordered. The food was great but the best thing about VT Paradise is the hostess. I was a little low both days I came in but she cheered me up by just being her awesome self. I can't remember her name, because it's been a couple weeks since I was there, but she made my wife and I feel at home and laugh every time she came to our table. I've never been to a restaurant and enjoyed service like this. She is one in a million and if I didn't live in Owings Mills I would eat here at least once a week for lunch or dinner. Enjoy the food and service.

Is there such a thing as frozen pad thai? I think I just had it. We were staying at a hotel around the corner and ordered take out. It looked promising when I walked in. But when I got back to the room and opened the boxes. Ugg. Then we tasted the food - watch out! Awful. Summer spring roll - 2 star. Summer veggie roll - 2 star. (the peanut sauce for the spring rolls was especially bad) Pad thai - 0 star. Beef curry - 1 star (sauce tasted like it came from a jar...gritty too.) Really. Bad. Food?

Stopped in this below zero degree night for hot bowl of pho. Where else can you find that in Annapolis. The large at $8.95 for that large bowl of soup and salad/veg to float in a great broth. Well, not quite, out of bean sprouts, low on basil, jalapenos and I guess out of cilantro too. Wish I had known before I ordered. Wine at the early hour of six pm was not discounted obviously no happy hour. It was $30 for two glasses of wine and a big bowl of pho that was no phun. Better places to spend your food dollar.

Horrible restaurant starting from customer service to the taste of food. As soon as we walked in the greeting was like "hello" to "are you guys Korean?". He kept delaying our order on our food with his dumb jokes that had nothing to do with us ordering. I asked him questions on portion sizes. He kept joking off and not giving me a straight answer. Even my boyfriend asked questions and he gave no answer but a blank joke. tAfter making me upset he kept repeating his jokes. He knew he was making me feel uncomfortable. He admit that he was and said he was sorry but he kept continuing. First off we aren't frequent customers this was our first time there. So please lay off on the horrible jokes we are not that close. I ordered beef pho then he says something on the line of "I thought girls like chicken more". Seriously he goes from the bad jokes to being sexist.. He has no social skills or skills on being a server. Prices were a bit high. Portions were small. Small pho literally meant a kids size pho. A large pho was $8.95 and small was $4.50. I can understand I can't expect much for $4.50. The pad Thai prices ranged from $9.95 - $12.95 depending on which meats you get. We ordered a small pho, combination pad Thai, and Thai ice tea. All was gross!!! Pad thai had the worst flavor. The noodles weren't even brown it was a pale blob of noodles. Both my boyfriend and I got a disgusting bite of fish sauce that tasted like the sea. It lacked in sauce, peanuts, flavor, and overall waste of money. My pho on the other had good chewy noodles. The broth seemed water down. I don't know if this was due to us coming close to closing time. But after adding lime, hosin sauce, hot sauce the broth got a bit better. The hot sauce was really good but the hosin sauce tasted nasty by itself. The beef was a bit under cook it was good that way cause it cooked in the broth. The beef was thinly sliced and chewy. I would never come back here again. The service was beyond horrible and food lacked in flavor. The sever came over one time to check up on us. He asked is everything ok? I said "no it's not good". He could not even take a honest answer. Instead he replies "well I made everything myself. Ok so does that mean it has to be good? He did not walk away from our table for a good solid 3 mins giving us a uncomfortable disappointment face. Seriously let us finish our nasty dinner so we can leave. He could not take a honest opinion from a customer. He could use my critique to better his server skills and taste of food. You should not get butt hurt but your customers honest opinion about your food and service. P.S the customers at the table behind us did not seem happy! Plus my boyfriend pointed out something the other server was not hygienic when serving the food.

Thanks again to the Yelp app on my phone, I was able to find something more interesting for lunch than a typical sandwich. The restaurant was clean and sunny. The restaurant was pretty full as lunch patrons filled the booths and tables...so far, good sign. I ordered the lunch special of Lemongrass Chicken with rice. I thought the lunch portions were modest but the flavors of lemongrass, red pepper and ginger hit the spot. The chicken was cooked perfectly. I will definitely return the next time I'm in the area and try more of the menu.

Went here for a graduation dinner with family. It was rainy and cold so we mostly ordered the Pho. I had the chicken pho. It was bland. Even with the hoisen sauce and siracha and basil leaves and bean sprouts, it was tasteless. Other family members got the beef pho. They said the same. The spring roll that came with the lunch special was good. But how can you mess up frying a tiny frozen spring roll? We ordered the spicy calamari or seafood something. It was recommended on Foursquare. That was bland too. The people who gave it 4 or more stars probably don't know much about Vietnamese or Thai food. Or they just don't get out much. If your used to good food aka Foodie, don't bother, this place is yuck.

This is our "go to" place for Viet Thai food in the Annapolis area. They have an extremely varied menu and we have had nothing but excellent food. Easy parking and friendly service. We particularly enjoy the seafood stir fry. We try to get there a couple of times per month.

The pho had a very nice broth. Also ordered the Vietnamese pancake stuffed with chicken and shrimp. A little greasy and underseasoned which is why one star was taken away. Overall a very good experience, will be back.

Wait staff ignored us when we first walked in. Didn't take our drink order. Food was ok. But not good enough for a return visit.

Parking - Sufficient parking is available outside the restaurant Ambience - Excellent (refer to pictures) Food selection - Decent menu Food quality - Excellent The waiter was very patient and able to explain the items on the menu. We got a complimentary dessert, at the end of our meal.

Had some amazing Pho here before a work meeting. I was pretty happy to find this place randomly (actually I Yelped it, ha). It was right across the street from my meeting, and I was very happy at the end of my meal.
