Red Red Wine Bar is absolutely amazing. Their flatbreads are killer, especially the City Dock, the crab dip is really good, and the cheeses that I've had are wonderful. They're helpful with wine selections and their mixed drinks are great. The service is always friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is beautiful! I highly recommend this place!

Took me forever to post this review, but I promised I would, so here goes... I visited Red Red Wine Bar late on Memorial Day this year. I split the crab dip, which was tasty enough, with my date. For my entree I ordered the "Bistro Filet - All Natural, 8oz Filet with Red Red Wine Reduction, Grilled Shallots and Fennel Gremolata" with a side of veggies . Of course, I assumed the "filet" was Filet Mignon, because, well it's a $25 filet. Why wouldn't it be? What later became apparent is that management here is banking on the notion that diners will assume that "filet" refers to filet mignon. In this case, it does not. What I received was a thin, skirt steak like hunk of meat, overcooked (I ordered medium rare) and underseasoned. I took two bites into what can only be described as a salted spare tire and decided that I wouldn't be partaking in any more. I alerted my server, Katherine, that what I was served was neither filet mignon (as was implied), nor was it edible. She asked, "Well how are your vegetables?" I told her that they were fine. She said - and I can't make this stuff up - "Well at least you like some of it", and walked away. I was dumbfounded. I asked to speak to a manager the next time she made an appearance. I was told that none were working that night. No managers working on a Holiday... let that simmer... I told Katherine again that I was unsatisfied with the meal presented, that it wasn't filet and that I was unhappy. She just sort of stared at me like a dog trying to understand those nonsense sounds that come out of its owner's mouth. After a long, awkward silence, she said, "Well, the kitchen staff is done now so...". It was abundantly clear, that I was getting nowhere with this dialogue. When I was presented a check for the meal, including the aforementioned inedible tire steak, I asked for the name of the manager and resigned to call back the next day. On Tuesday morning, I called and spoke to the manager, Bethany. I recounted the crappy experience from the night prior. She offered no apologies, but promised to "investigate" the situation and return my call the next day. 5 days later, after no follow-up from Bethany, I called back again. I reminded her who I was and that I had been expecting a call back. She led with, "I've been trying to figure out what to tell you..." and proceeded to explain that the restaurant's filet isn't actually filet, as much as it's teres major (I did some research to learn that this is a very cheap, shoulder cut of cow. It's in no way related to filet mignon or known as "filet" anything). I pointed out the obvious deception that's inherent in calling a menu item filet when it's not, and noted that Red Red Wine Bar had essentially lied to steal my money. Bethany blamed the situation on the server not knowing to explain that the menu item wasn't actually filet mignon and offered me a credit for my next visit. I explained that I lived 40+ minutes away, and was so bothered by the first experience that I had no intention of visiting again. Instead, I asked for a refund for the uneaten non-filet. She refused, saying, "I can't just go refunding credit cards. I don't own the restaurant." As someone who worked in hospitality management (even running a steakhouse) for years, I was horrified by, not only my culinary experience, but especially the interactions I had with Red Red's wait staff and management. I would never recommend this restaurant, and cannot fathom an owner who'd be proud to be represented by the team that I encountered. Word of advice to the owner: employ a staff that gives a damn about your reputation.

Probably our favorite place downtown--love the decor and Lorenza is the BEST server! Fresh food every time (go for the grilled romaine salad with scallops!) and lovely wine selections. We always take visitors here to give them a great, unique dining experience in Annapolis.
(5)Susan V.
Totally deception and a rip off. They brought the wrong drink and refused to remove the cost from our bill. The pizza was burnt, service sucked and to make the whole experience worse. We ordered a bottle of wine and they charged us a corking fee!! Usually a corking fee is only charged on wine that you bring in with you! Save yourself money and grief and go to Mcdonalds....better meal and service.
(1)Colleen R.
Great service, amazing food. Classy wine bar that knows how to do it. Thanks for making our night so much better.
(5)Kelly F.
Literally nothing bad to say about this place. Food is amazing. Wine selection is amazing. Adorable place to eat. Loved it!
(5)Kathea S.
Just wanted to give a huge shout out to Lorenza for being the best server ever. Came in last night for the tail end of a date night. Took her up on the advice to get the Polination drink made with mead. So yummy. Got a cheese plate and then asked for another drink. Surprise me. Sweet and fizzy, you know what I like. She comes back with a lavender and blueberry collins made with vodka. Delicious! I'm going to have her surprise me with drinks all the time. Another wonderful night at Red Red Wine.

I still think about those filet skewers months later. This was a fun and romantic dinner without being pretentious. I hate pretentious. Our server was down to earth, knew the menu and kept our glasses full. Oh but those skewers. Tender flavorful bites I won't soon forget. I could order these and a salad for my meal. But, the salmon was pretty fantastic and I'm not usually big on salmon. The wine was also great as expected. I didn't love the eclectic seating. It screamed dirty to me. It's hard to pull off lush fabric in a restaurant. Not my thing. Worth going and worth going again.
(4)Meg L.
This is a favorite in downtown Annapolis. If you're looking for plenty of wine options and great food, this is the place for you! Love the ambiance, and they also have outdoor seating!
(4)Travis H.
Really cute- great ambiance and a fun place to bring friends. It's loud and full of energy. Beautiful jewel tones.

This is just an initial review, and I do plan to come back and provide an update after I've visited a few more times. For now, this is only based on my experience at the bar with the wine and cheese plate. The bartender made some excellent recommendations on the wine, and even provided some small tastes to help me make my decision. He also helped steer me toward some cheese selections, with which I was very satisfied. He was attentive and friendly, and didn't tease me TOO much about my football team which isn't one of the local teams and isn't known for being a powerhouse.....I thank him for his mercy. The decor is fantastic, with the wall behind the bar being comprised of old doors that look like they came straight from the French Quarter. I'm definitely going to be back to try an actual meal....so stay tuned for an update!

We held an informal party here after our wedding and it was the best decision we ever made. I had only been to the bar once on a recommendation of a friend but the atmosphere was fun and whimsical and the food was amazing. Lisa the owner was super responsive to my emails and very helpful with everything. We had a tasting 2 weeks before the wedding to decide what food and drinks we wanted to serve and then we created our own menu to put out on the tables. Lorenza was our go to girl that day and she was on top of everything. We have over 50 people show up and the staff didn't miss a beat. Food and drinks flowed freely during the afternoon. I can't imagine having done anything different. My husband and I already said for our 5 year anniversary we plan on getting everyone together again there. In the meantime, my girls and I will be going back in a few days for a girl's night. I have and will continue to recommend Red Red Wine Bar to any and everyone I meet!! Thanks Lisa, Lorenza, and Roger for everything!!!!

Excellent wine, food and atmosphere! I've been here twice and each time was impressed. The flights of wine are reasonably priced and I enjoyed reading the info given for each wine that I tried. The cheese platters, albeit a little pricy for the portion, were fantastic as was the food. The pear prosciutto pizza is highly recommended. Hope to return soon!
(5)Stephen B.
I love wine, but don't know much about it. I told the bartender i like pinot noirs and he immediately poured me a couple of samples -both of which were excellent (per my pallet anyway). The culture is truly one of simplicity. Beyond the wines, my wife and I shared the chocolate cake. It was very good, but nothing to rave about. We went back for Sunday brunch and they had a gnocchi special with a creole flare. A May zing!! The five stars is for the wine, the experience and the brunch.
(5)Madeline S.
(1) comfy sofas everywhere. Clutch. (2) outlets everywhere for charging your overused smart devices. (3) wide variety of wine flights and wines by the glass. (4) great descriptions for easy of purchase by the bottle (5) very pleasant staff (6) amazing creative decor without being obnoxious In short - you wanna hang out and drink a ton of wine at this place. Mission: accomplished.
(5)Allison L.
Loved this place! The parmesan crusted salmon was amazing and the side of spaghetti squash made for a great combo. We also had quinoa cakes, which I wasn't excited about, tasted a bit funny, and then they grew on me and I quickly ate the rest when everyone else was stuck in the "these taste funny" phase. While I assume this place is great for all types of wine drinkers, it was especially great for this Moscato loving, non wine connoisseur. I've been hunting down the Moscato I had here since then, and am hoping to make a little side trip while in Philly this weekend to a store in NJ that supposedly has it. Loved the atmosphere, and would love to go back soon.
(4)Allison F.
Great for order flights of Cab-bey Road, drinking wine, gabbing with your favorite gal pal, drinking more wine, noshing on pear prosciutto pizza, and ordering another flight. I really enjoyed my afternoon here!
(4)Hetax P.
Great apps.... Always great to pick their cheese platter with wine... Excellent food... One spot you can't miss off of West Street Annapolis.
(5)M C.
A very mellow scene with great wine and cheese. Came here after being disappointed by the world's quietest dive bar and wanting to avoid the top 40 discos. A hipster would feel welcome here but it's not really pretentious at all. Drank a powerful Tempranillo at the beautiful walnut bar munching cheese and grooving to George Clinton. A sophisticated spot.
(5)Elizabeth B.
We stopped by here for lunch on a Saturday. It's in a great location. It was not very crowded. The wine list is impressive and their cheese list as well. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the wines and cheese. We really enjoyed the cheese the waiter recommended and I enjoyed the wine on tap and the wine flight I got. Cool atmosphere. There's a New Orleans influence, as they are having crawfish poboys and red beans and rice for their Mardi Gras party this year. It's like Napa Valley meets New Orleans. I had the special, Thai salad with shrimp which was very good. Can't wait to go back!
(5)Shari A.
Great place to get drinks and good wine, especially when sitting outside during the summer. Brunch is also really good. The cheese plates are really good as well. Ambiance is fun and comfy. Would go there more if the food we're better in general. Owners are also less than friendly. There are other places to spend the money where it will be appreciated and you will get a much better meal.
(3)Cyrus B.
Very cool atmosphere and detailed wine list accompanied with great cheese plates! Highly recommend for a nice date spot! Ask for Forrest
(5)Kate K.
Incredible service, food and of course wine! Our courses came out as soon as we finished the previous ones and our wine glasses were never empty. The wine on tap was very fresh and full-bodied. Our waitress paired our wine exceptionally with each course and was very friendly and knowledgable! Great restaurant.

Met up with a friend and went to Red Red Wine bar in Annapolis. She picked it because she lives there... I"m more towards the DC side of the world. We got there in time for happy hour, so that was nice. We ordered a $5 order of crab dip right off the bat and then contemplated our next move. They also had $5 glasses of wine on the happy hour menu. We asked our server if it made more sense to get a bottle if we each wanted 2 glasses, or to go with the happy hour specials. She told us the bottle was the better way to go... so we took her advice. We also ordered a Pear & Prosciutto Pizza. The pizza and the crab dip were both good... and we both enjoyed the wine that the server suggested. Here's where things fell apart.... We got our bill... and the bottle of wine was $17 plus a $10 corkage fee. I'm no math whiz... but by my calculations that puts our bottle of wine at $27.... which is MORE than the $20 we would have spent if we each had 2 glasses off the happy hour special menu. I questioned the server, and she explained that all of their bottles have that $10 corkage fee because they also have a retail license. That's all fine, but that should have been explained up front. Yes, its $7 difference, but its the principle... ESPECIALLY since I asked her flat out which option was going to be more economical. Food was good... wine was good... service was good.... but the snafu with the bilil kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.

This was my first time here and I will not be back. There was 15 of us here for a nice dinner. I there were a couple things that I was really upset about. The first thing was my drink was horrible, I ordered a strawberry mango sangria and it was so bad. I told my server that I didn't like my drink and I would like something else. I told him he can take it back (meaning also take it off the bill). Second thing was we ordered three bottles of wine for our party and they charged us a $30 corkage fee. The bottles were even twist off. Absolutely ridiculous. Are bill was over $500 and we said something about my drink and the corkage fee and they said they were not able to remove them from bill. Seriously you didn't take my drink off? All of our drinks were bad. We will not be back.
(1)Nicole H.
Mighty impressed with this place as they have successfully nailed both food and drink! Great wine list to choose from, as well as specialty drinks. Crab dip is a must, and I highly recommend the salmon entree, it was perfect!
(5)Julie F.
Great wine and amazing happy hour prices! The crab dip was fantastic. Definitely recommend!
(4)Christie B.
Love the sparkling wine flight for a night with the girls. The interior design is fun and targeted towards a girls night out for sure. If you have a big group, they have a nice room off the back that can be very private/intimate. Happy hour has some good deals and a fun place for dinner too - I recommend the Everything-incrusted Ahi Tuna.
(4)Meghan C.
I love this place...the bartenders are always engaging, the ambience is relaxed but not boring, the cheese and wine selections are off the chain! I've never had an entree but the people next to us had what appeared to be the salmon and it looked and smelled amazing. Can get pricey, but nice for a date night...I love that they always have really unique by the glass options. Enjoy!

I love the exhaustive menu and the in-depth description of almost all the wines listed inside, however I'm not sure how knowledgeable the bar's management and staff really are about their craft. I visited last night while in town with a friend. I was excited to try their cabernet blend from Bordeaux, but ended up being disappointed to discover it wasn't the bold and full-bodied wine I had expected - also as described in the menu. The worst part was it came in a chilled glass. When I asked the waiter if they had refrigerated the wine, he said the manager had decided to chill the red wines to bring out their flavors more and the reds weren't as cold as the whites. In my humble and limited opinion it only ruined the integrity of my cabernet by taking away, not adding to, its flavor and possibly making it even a little sour. The food was decent though. I had the mussels and it was a generous portion served with warm bread. The indoor decor is cozy and inviting, whereas outdoor seating is nice for catching some fresh air while people watching on a pleasant summer night.
(3)Eve C.
Had dinner here Sunday and came back pre-dinner Monday and Tuesday for happy hour (hey, don't judge; I'm working hard). Really loved the food and ambience. Great friendly people at happy hour. Nice staff and just a really comfortable place to chill out at the end of the day.
(5)Gabe R.
My experience here was okay. I'm not a wine connoisseur but it looks like this place has enough to satisfy any wine lover's needs. Whatever wine I ordered tasted good. I ordered the Maryland crab soup and wasn't impressed. It was very light and tasted watered down. Service was fine. Give this place a shot if you're into wine.
(3)Sarah S.
The wine selection was interesting and different. Who knew there was awesome wine from Georgia (the country)? The crab melt was exactly what I was looking for on my trip to Maryland. Cool atmosphere, had great decor.
(4)Nicole R.
In Annapolis for a wedding, my boyfriend and I decided to try out this spot to indulge in some delicious cheese, wine and small plates. Wine - Pretty average. I'm not sure if it was the selection, but neither wine we had was that great. My boyfriend's wine actually came out corked and no one had noticed before it was brought out and he tasted it. Pizza - Burnt crust, doughy middle, tiny... DiGiorno's would have been an upgrade. Cheese - The only thing that was good. I like purple haze goat cheese, which they had! Overall pretty much a let down!
(2)Elizabeth L.
The wine is fabulous. The food is not. The crab tostados were watery. You couldn't taste the lime our jalapeno that was supposedly in them. The wonton they were served in was great. The filet was over cooked and tough; covered in a burnt demi-glaze. The seasonal asparagus was not trimmed correctly, leaving the dinner chewing for hours. The service you ask? Even worse! As our waitress flirted with one of the waiters outside of the kitchen (I saw her coming back from the restroom), I was left to hunt the manager down for a meager $20 discount from our bill. Our entree cost $23, which I had three bites of!! Never going back, unless it's for the wine which they can't mess up.
(1)Sydney T.
Amazing little wine bar and I'm so sad I didn't get to spend more time here. We stopped in to grab a drink while waiting for out reservation at Factor's Row He had- The French 76 : Is there any other way to describe perfection in a drink? Crisp, balanced, refreshing, and potent. I'm in love. The classic french 76 with a twist of basil and a sweet syrup which I can't recall. I wish I had another one of these right now. I had- The tinta? Argentinian Torrontes wine with a twist of lime over ice. love it and it reminded me of the tinto de veranos I drank so much of in Madrid. Wine, with lime over ice. Atmosphere- Cute, date like, but good for striking up a conversation with strangers at the bar. it can get busy on Saturday evenings though so just be prepared.
(4)J M.
Great list, reasonably priced, nice classy atmosphere, relaxing. Service great and friendly. Even had a wonderful Mediterranean pizza. This is now my other fave bar in Naptown (with McGarvey's)
(5)Joseph S.
Nice to have seating outside! Large selection of wines as expected. Food was good. Only 4 stars as service was a little slow but otherwise, will recommend!
(4)Jini K.
My friend and I stopped by lunch here at about 1:30pm on a Monday. The place was pretty much a ghost town, as my friend and I were the only ones in the restaurant for the majority of the time. As such, the service was prompt, we didn't feel rushed, and felt like we were given ample opportunity to sip our drinks and enjoy our food without getting glared at. We stayed through the beginning of happy hour (3pm) and our server told us we could benefit from the specials (though they were minimal), without closing out our tab first, which was nice! My friend ordered 2 glasses of the red sangria and I ordered 2 of the moscato d'asti, and we each ordered pizzas. The prices for both food and drinks were reasonable. As a vegetarian with limited non-seafood dining options in downtown Annapolis, I enjoyed this place and would love to return. I'm also hoping the vibe is better during peak times, because it was very slow and dull inside!
(4)Jolene F.
Love, love, love this place! Totally filled a void in Annapolis. We had way too many frat boy bars. Great wine list with prices at every level. Some of the food is great and a few things have been misses. The pizza can be good or not so good. The cheese plates are always great! But...my wife and I go back again and again. The decor is cozy and inviting. I do desperately wish they would bring back The Smith Island Seven Layer cake for dessert. The cakes by Caroline just don't even come close!
(5)Amy M.
The only reason I give this place 4 instead of 5 stars is because the food is only so - so. Nothing to write home about, which is disappointing because the wine selection and atmosphere are so great. We spent a quiet, intimate evening here with friends and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The service was good, too. Our waiter Josh showed the perfect level of attentiveness and was knowledgeable about the wine selection. Highly recommend for a nice, casual evening out with a small party of friends. Just don't expect to be wowed by the food!
(4)Gretchen O.
We've been here three times, and after those visits I feel like I can make a pretty good review. The first time was AWESOME. It was a weekday afternoon in the early fall and the weather was nice, so we sat outside. Props for outdoor seating! We tried the flights of wine, which were all well-chosen bottles. The food was excellent. We went back a second time, and had the same experience. It was a Friday night, and the food was delicious. The third time (in January), we took my mom there for her birthday since she's a wine-lover. Same flights of wine as early fall. Decent wine bars generally rotate their flight selections weekly, so I was disappointed that months later, the same wines were still on the flights. Also, the crab dip was barely there...maybe enough for 4 bites between the four of us. The service was SOOO slow, and my food was just OK. I'm sad to say that based on this last experience, I probably won't go back. But if you do go, don't go on a Saturday night.
(3)Erika T.
Came here for a Girl's Night Out! I have been wanting to try this place. the decor of the place is so nice, all the girls loved it. They sat us in the back which was perfect for out big group of 8! It was private and quaint. When we arrived we got there during happy hour which we loved! $5 glasses of wine and cheese plates not to mention mango sangria. I did not have it but it looked pretty and heard it was delicious. Their wine selection is superb! I am a red wine fan (ha ha). I loved the two reds I had and was not disappointed! We ordered appetizers, I had their fresh mussels, they were good A LOT of mussels though! I could not finish them! They were very good. some of the dishes my friends weren't impressed with. They DEFINITELY loved the cheese platters. Their cheese selection was very good. Our waiter, gave us the best service ever! We had a few in our group with food allergies and who were vegetarian. He really was great when telling us what had what and that it could be changed. He was patient and always gave us his honest opinion on recommendation. Overall Red Red Wine Bar is a go to place, I will certainly go back. Great happy hour, cheeses and wine selection. Go! Put everything down and GO NOW!
(4)Joe M.
Stopped in on a business trip for a night cap and so glad i found this gem. Had a bottle from Napa. The service was great and they were well versed in the wine. Its right downtown. Walked there from my hotel. Visited January 2012

Second time in to red red wine bar but first review. I like it! The first time I was with a bunch of friends on a Saturday night. We had dessert and wine. My take Away thought: "must come back and try dinner". It was a bit too Loud and crowded but that's an Annapolis Saturday in October. After a busy holiday season I just had the opportunity to return. Monday night was less crowded and noisy but still busy. The wait staff did a great job acting as host and attending to tables. Our food was fresh and tasty. Tried the quinoa spinach cake for starters - a good size portion with nice flavors. Then shared the Mediterranean pizza and chicken Baja salad. Salad was a full serving with lots of treats (avocado, cheese, peppers, etc) and the pizza was like a salad on bread. No room for dessert this time but will plan Better for the next visit--love the smith island cakes served here!
(4)Daniel C.
We've visited red red twice now. The first time we only had wine to celebrate a special occasion. The second time we were here for someone's birthday and had beers, wine and food at the table. Tried the powerful welsh cheddar cheese plate which was very tasty. Came with 1.5 oz of the cheese, apple slices, almond slices, walnuts, cranberries, toasted bread and a splat of honey. I would definitely order a cheese plate again. We also ordered a Cuban panini and a 'the gus' pizza. The Cuban was good and warm upon arrival but the pizza was cold and looked like it had been sitting around for a long while. Wanted to send it back but I had already waited over a half hour. The meats were good on the pizza but it also had quite a bit of raw tasting garlic. It was pretty over powering. I'll be back for the wine, cheese, and atmosphere but probably not for the other foods.

Free wi-fi. Outlets. These guys were a savior during the power outage. Comfy oversized (like take up the whole wall) Victorian bench of a couch. Cute little seating areas. Huge bar to accommodate lots of people. Private little skype/TV room to do small wine tastings. Cool chandeliers. Trendy feel. Must've been the folks they brought up from D.C. to design the place. Service was friendly and on it. Where else can you get a 10 layer white cake with peanut butter and chocolate, a salad and a glass of wine in the middle of the afternoon. Big fan, big fan.
(5)Victoria S.
I went here yesterday with a few coworkers RIGHT at 5PM. The place was empty which was fine. The décor was funky and really contemporary. Loved the big plush "chair" backs on one of the larger booth areas. There are some high top tables when you walk in and a long bar in case there is no seated areas. We took advantage of the Happy Hour Menu. $5 Red/White of the day. I'm not a wine connoisseur so I don't remember the red that I tried but it was great. A nice Merlot/Cab blend from Spain. Other's tried the white which was like a Sauv Blanc but not as sweet. The appetizers were delightful. Baked brie on toasts with Chardonnay infused raisons, Crab balls and a Crab Dip. All were so great! My only complaint would be service was a TAD slow. Especially because how empty it was I was a little disappointed with that. Nice atmosphere and not too pricey. Really would like to go back!
(4)Jen M.
Cute little wine bar in downtown Annapolis. Great outdoor seating for sipping and people watching. Great wine list. Service is a little spotty so put up a flare when you need to order.
(4)Angel E.
We been here before when they were feeling red sangria's and now they stopped it?! WHATTT WHYYY well they stopped 2 weeks ago per waiter and they're selling white sangria. I rated the white and it's very very light which I wouldn't order again. Well I has the Brie cheese & it wasn't what I expected I don't know.... I lived coming here but not sure if I'll continue was kinda disappointed tonight after hearing the discontinued red sangria.
(3)Doreen G.
Not sure where other reviewers eat/drink/dine, but this should not be it. Heard so many good things about it - evident no management in sight. Slovenly dressed staff; waitress forgot to bring our soup - no big deal - but it went downhill from there. Decor appears shabby. Food was just ok, we expected a bit better. Caroline's Cake was on dessert menu - just ordered a cake from there for husband's birthday - sure hope it is not like what was served last night - chocolate looked old, cake was dry, and chocolate was cracked/uneven in color. Crab melt was average. Husband had burger - but how can you ruin a burger? Too many other places to try - wine list was long, we had a white and red and they were just average.
(1)Jackie L.
This place is loud on the weekends, so if you're looking for a quiet place to sit back and drink wine this isn't it. The back was a cluster of people and the front is right by the door to the outside and we kept getting blasted with cold air. The wait staff and hostess were pretty amazing service wise. My pizza was pretty great, it was the Mediterranean and a good price. However, my husbands salad was really mushy and gross and he barely ate any. Instead, he stole some of my pizza. The entrees were sort of overpriced I thought but pretty much on par with downtown Annapolis. I'd probably have liked it more if it wasn't a packed Saturday night and I wasn't cold...
(3)Joe D.
Great wine selection and excellent deserts. We came in and it was packed and the sweet lady in the front worked with us to get a table inside for 4 plus a child. within ten minutes she scooped it up for us and we were able to enjoy a drink and desert after dinner at Joss. The desert was amazing (raspberry cake that was on special) with a scoop of ice-cream, so good! Def. check this place out!
(4)KM S.
We came here with some out-of-town friends and were impressed with our experience. We started with a few flights of wine (Girl Junot It's True and Cab-bey Road). The flights were fun and a good value. M ordered the Roasted Turkey and Smoked Gouda Sandwich and K ordered the Cuban Panini. M really enjoyed his meal--the sandwich was flavorful and fresh. K enjoyed here meal, but it was not a standout. Our friends ordered the Burger of the Day and the Pear Prosciutto Pizza. They both appeared to enjoy their meals. We will return.
(4)William F.
Stopped here recently for some wine and light fare. The food was very good (I had the crab soup and steak kabobs, my wife had a burger), and they had a nice wine selection. Our waiter was both polite and efficient. A good experience.

Stopped by during Sine Die - which was a hectic and long day in Annapolis - but it wasn't crowded. The atmosphere is mellow but romantic, so it can be for a date or hangout with your friends. Service was great, we had a friendly waitress, and the drinks and food were amazing. Food is an American Fare, but in a fancy arraignment so don't expect a huge crab cake like I did. It did take about 30 minutes for the food to be served, so order an entree.

I really wish I could have had the wine here, but unfortunately I had to work after lunch. I settled for a diet coke. Red Red Wine Bar is a cozy wine bar with some yummy lunch specials. Since I've exhausted my sushi options in the old town-ish area, I decided to go for lunch at Red Red Wine Bar. I ordered a half panini and a cup of soup. The chicken panini was savory with basil and roasted red peppers. The bread was warm and crunchy. I ordered Maryland crab soup. It was truly divine. It wasn't bland at all. It was delightfully spiced, not over-the-top. The vegetables were large and hearty and there was a decent amount of crab meat to go around. I was pretty stuffed, so no dessert for me. But, I was tempted by the Smith Island cake offerings. Maybe one day, I'll find a date to take me here for a class of wine and some cake. My waitress was nice and attentive. Cool place =D I can't give it five stars until I try the wine though.

Sunday "New Orleans" Brunch. Reasonable menu with tasty options, prices were reasonable. Drinks were good, the waiter mixed mine up with another table's but immediately brought me a replacement (while letting me keep the complimentary mojito). Place was pretty quiet for a Sunday, I've walked by on the weekends and seen it packed. I'll be back for a dinner sometime to try out their mainstay--a huge wine menu.

Stopped in early to see what Happy Hour might comprise. No Happy Hour menu is listed on the website and I can see why, nothing really to advertise. A pretty place with a nice choice of wines. I had the red and white of the day and the Brie toast. Next time I will come later and try the full menu. If your dining before 6:30 PM there are better places to spend your $$

Annapolis is quickly becoming the wine bar capitol of North America or a least the most wine bars within a 5 mile radius. This was my first visit to the Red Red Wine Bar even though I walked past it numerous times. Excellent decor and great service. I liked the place and really enjoyed myself. We had a spinach salad topped with tenderloin and the crab tostadas appetizer. Very fresh and perfectly executed. This appears to be a good place to hang with a small group. Very reasonable price/value relationship.

This place has the ambiance of what a true wine bar should. The huge bar area is dark and sleek, yet there is plenty of space to sit at a table. There is comfy bench seating along one wall too. Come for happy hour and savor a generous pour of a great Portuguese red wine (Lello) for only $5. I'd be here every week if I lived in Annapolis! Barkeeps are attentive and congenial.

Had dinner here last nite after stopping in the day before for a drink.I must say, this place gets it, especially if you love wine! The prices are more than fair, and their selections are extremely well thought out. The food is also outstanding, especially for the price! I had the scallops, which were cooked perfectly, and the entire entree was only $19. Any other restaurant charges $25-30 for the same meal. Can't wait to go back again. EJS

I would be here at least once a week if I lived in Annapolis! Red, Red Wine Bar is just a really great, relaxed hang-out spot for all kinds of occasions. My boyfriend and I just went as a couple, but there were also groups sharing bottles of wine at tables and solo people at the bar. There was also live music when we were there on Sunday night, which was very fun, and the decor is dark and contemporary but still comfortable and inviting. We did not have any food, but the menu looked pretty diverse and interesting. As for the wine, they had an amazing selection with pages and pages of choices and even a few flights to choose from. You could order by the glass for most varietals of wine, including some of the sparkling wines, and also by the bottle. In addition, they had many of the bottles available on display so that you could purchase them or just look at the outside. It was a nice touch and we definitely took advantage of being able to investigate. I will say that I wish they had more flights available, because it is pretty expensive to buy the wine by the glass. In fact, as much as I liked the selection and the atmosphere, the place is a bit overpriced in general. As for service, they were definitely attentive and friendly. I would have hoped that the servers would have been a little bit more knowledgeable about the wine they were serving. Luckily I know a lot about wine so I wasn't in dire need of their help on choosing a wine, but when I did ask a question I got a very generic response that didn't really answer my question. Still, they were pleasant and I had no other complaints.

I loved the decor and the red Lello wine from Portugal. Not just because ordering it made me feel like a four year old who couldn't pronounce "yellow". You have to be pretty to work here.

The food is outstanding - all of the dishes we had - had great flavor and were very unique combinations. Service was great, atmosphere good - will go back over and over.

Since the Purple Tooth closed I have been searching for a new awesome wine bar to fill the void in my soul. While, not quite up to Purple Tooth level, I do love this place. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE the decor inside. Door panels behind the bar, victorian couches, vintage chandaliers give it a trendy vibe. There is also a little side room if you would like to have a private party. All the dishes that I have tried there have been great. I love their selections of cheeses and their crabcakes are pretty delicious. I'm super picky about my crabcakes so that is saying a lot coming from me. The grilled cheese they have is good, but after Purple Tooth nothing can really compare. Have a ton of different wine selections and are always changing the wine selection and menu options. I have to go back and try out the new fall menu. Staff is friendly and I love the shirts they wear. And I was happy to find that they are available for sale. Pick one up, they are really comfy.

Large portions. On the pricier size. Clean and nicer looking.
(3)Suzanne S.
Great wine flights (including the sparkling wine)... Everyone is very knowledgable, and the info provided with each wine flight is great. We try to come here every time we are in Annapolis, and have yet to be disappointed.

Was anxious to try the newest wine bar on the Annapolis scene. Went with my girlfriend on Friday evening and we were fortunate to not only find a perfect parking place but got the last 2-top table outside. it was about 8pm and everything and everywhere was packed. Were greeted by a nice hostess who told us to help ourselves to the remaining table and were in a great mood getting ready to conclude a long day. After that it was unfortunately all downhill. Hostess said they were out of wine menus so we sat for about 15 minutes not only without a drink but also without a wine list and without a server. I went inside to find the hostess but she was nowhere to be seen. Finally got an apology from the hostess who gave us the wine list. Hey man, i'm all for a nice selection but this was ridiculous. i would take another 15 minutes to read it and we DYING for a glass of wine. so we picked the first thing that looked promising and at the same time made the server stay there while we skimmed the menu and ordered because we didnlt want to lose her again for another spell. Food and wine arrived and was generally disappointing. girlfriend ordered the corn chowder which was tasty but luke warm. we didn't want to send it back because we were so hungry by now. Meditaranean Pizza was a HUGE disappointment. Dough was worse than Domino's and toppings were uninspiring. plus it was a small pizza. No comparison to the great pizza at Vin 909, not even in the same ball park. Salmon pate was excellent. But overall we both said NEVER AGAIN. Hope they get their food and service act together because its a cool idea

Love the food, love the lighting and atmosphere, but . . . Fire the bartender who acts has if she created the cure for polio. I have been there a handful of times with friends and family and last night sealed it for me with her. I came in late alone and in a somewhat empty room had to wait 5 minutes to get acknowledged only to find out kitchen was closed. No problem, I'll have a $6.50 beer, paid cash $7.00, no change given. My wide is a bartender, this is a fireable offense. Only $.50 but a no-no in a REAL bar/restaurant. I am normally. happy to tip well I've 20%, but not when treated with such arrogance. This tattooed woman is not Bryan Brown and this is not 'Cocktail', go down the road to McGarvey's and see Beans, you'll be happy you did. Stay away from 'C U next time.'

I've been twice and yesterday soured my impression of this place. I ordered a salad and soup to go and it was BLAND!!!! I literally had to add salt and pepper to the corn and crab chowder in order to taste anything other than flour. The tex mex salad that I got to accompany it was beautiful in presentation but really the chicken also lacked any flavor. I asked for the "homemade ranch" and not only did I get one tiny to go cup of it but it clearly was not homemade. This was a big disappointment as I've been for lunch before and really enjoyed it...hopefully it was an off day.

MD Crab Soup. Strong. Also, loved the pizza.
(4)Mick R.
I've been a few times since my first review, and it seems the issues I had were a one time thing. Since then it has been nothing but excellent. The services is always attentive without being overbearing, and the food is fantastic. Oh and the wine is pretty good too!
(5)Matthew C.
Great selection of wine, especially for the area. Focus on the Red's here.
(4)Kris S.
We loved this place- sat at the bar. Bartender let me try a few wines when I couldn't decide. Ordered cheese plate which was very good. Nice atmosphere.
(4)Eric J.
They have really big sofas.

I had to wait for my second visit to write this review. The place is new, they're working out the kinks, so I didn't want to be too harsh. But no, I was right the first time, they have no idea what they're doing here. It seems to be the typical Annapolis story...they just can't get good help. The service is horrendous, even for Annapolis. The food is mediocre, and clearly not where they're striving to succeed. Their licensing issues are weird and difficult to explain to a customer why their bottle pricing includes a corkage fee. It all just sounds rediculous. The one bright spot in this totally unorganized chaos is the decor. Totally impressed. I would love to know who they hired for their interior design, they must have been from NYC. Very cool and too contemorary, yet comfortable. They're getting a lot of buzz now cause they're new, but I still prefer Crush - the food, wine and pricing far exceeds this place.
(2)Eric I.
Average food, high cost, indifferent service. Ordered a Moscow Mule ($10). It was awful--all simple syrup, tasted like cough syrup. Sent it back, and they refused to take it off the bill. Crab dip was missing any crab, all cream cheese. Main meals were tepid, obviously sat under a heat lamp. Annapolis has many very fine restaurants. Red Red Wine is not one

I'm pretty into this place. After a heavy lunch we decided to walk around the town to work it off, and stumbled into Red Red Wine Bar. We decided wine and dessert were in order. The decor inside was really contemporary and mellow/ bordering on dark and Gothic. For some reason I wanted this to be a fondue place where I could go with a date. The cushiony seats looked quite comfortable and lent itself to privacy. Alas, we opted to sit outside as it was so beautiful out. Also, the people watching was great. I am sorely tempted to get some Sperry's now. My favorite NYCer food companion has a gorgeous pair of navy ones that would fit right in :) However, I digress: We split a bottle of Las Perdices Malbec. I enjoyed the wine very much because I am on a Malebc kick. For Dessert we got: Red Velvet Smith Island Cake: Holy layers- I get that they wanted to do a Smith Island cake but I was not a fan. It was overtly sweet because of how much frosting there was (because of all the layers). Granted, I only like minimal frosting on cake so keep that in mind. Creme Brulee: I love a good creme brulee. Hell you're nuts not to. This one was nice, but I think they put too much sugar on the top so that when they took hand torch to it, it bruleed but there was too much of it. Light sprinkle of sugar people. Light.sprinkle.of.sugar. But this went really well with our wine so plus and it was still lovely inside. My major gripe wait this place is that I would have loved to do a flight -but only of red wine. I am not a fan of any white (unless it is champagne) so it would have been a waste to get that. How sad. On the plus side I got a tshirt there that is ridiculously cute and absurdly soft. Win.

Upon entering the restaurant you feel comfortable, relaxed and warmly greeted by the wait staff. Most wine place feel pretentious so they can scare off new wine drinkers. This place welcomed you in. They have over 50 wines by the glass, in all price ranges. A great place to expand your wine palate. The food was just as wonderful and a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds! Our waitress was Alex; she was fun and very knowledgeable about the wines. She was truly able to guide us through the wine list so it did not overwhelm us. With that said, the wine list is set up to be very easy to navigate through as well. Just had such a great experience at Red Red Wine. I would highly recommend anyone to try it. They do still have a full bar for those that don't drink wine. I also suggest you listen to a little UB40 right before you go in!
(5)Ed H.
GREAT DRINKS!!!! GREAT FOOD!!!! soooo good that i am at a lost for words!
(5)Beverly V.
I was very disappointed with this wine bar. It was very loud, the waiter stopped back every few minutes--much more often than necessary, and the food was mediocre (and the appetizers were small). Probably won't go there again. Too much good competition in town.
(2)Kelly B.
Red Red Wine Bar is a pretty cool place! I love the decor inside... but we actually sat outside. They have plenty of outdoor seating and it is a great spot for people watching. We went to sit, chat, drink wine, and relax. Our server didn't seem to mind at all and was very nice. The wine selection is impressive. They also do "wine on tap" which is explained in the menu to be a more eco-friendly way to serve wine (no bottles, less shipping, etc). The cheese menu is extensive and your selections are served on the side of a wine crate which is fun! If I lived nearby, I would certainly be a regular at this spot!
(4)Jason E.
We tried to come here. We stood around for 10 minutes waiting to be seated, but no one ever spoke to us, approached us, or even looked our way. So we left. Looked cool inside, though. Had a nice vibe.
(2)Giandi M.
Nice atmosphere. But, think twice before you order something. They will take back the food or drinks that you do not like. But, they will not take off that item from your bill. So, you may end up paying for something that you did not eat or drink.
(2)Casey J.
The best part is the atmosphere, so I don't mind sitting inside on a nice day. The cheese selection is very good and, of course, they have wine.
(4)Katrina W.
Lookout, trendy wine bar has arrived. I must say since the closing of my beloved PurpleTooth it was refreshing to see this place pop up downtown Annapolis. Highlights are their extensive wine listing which changes often and cheese selections as well. Favorite dishes were the crab toastadas, mediterranean pizza, stuffed roasted red peppers, and their salads. The entrees were okay, nothing that really zinged me to tell the truth. I much preferred small plates & a cheese board. Oh...did I mention free WIFI and I can most definitely can see this place listed as a "Girls Night Out" hot spot in the near future.

This is a recent addition to the Main Street vibe and one of five "wine" bars in the Annapolis area (*Grapes* on Forest Dr., *Crush* on West St. and *Vin 909* in Eastport) and one that has been here since the early 1990's (*49 West Café & Wine Bar* on West St.). Red Red Wine Bar is barely a few weeks old but it appears that the place has a bit of an identity crisis. It doesn't know if it wants to be a hip, trendy place or a sawdust on the floor experience. The seating arrangements look as if they want to attract small, intimate groups for talking and sharing. However, the loud Linkin Park or Eminem music blaring over the sound system with the frequent f-bombs makes it virtually impossible to have any conversation without being hoarse the next day. The decor is hip and cool with a Victorian splash added by the addition of a high backed velvet wall length couch inset in the wall in bright red under a bright red chandelier. The long bar is positioned in an awkward area that makes hanging out at the bar an irritant to the patrons and the wait staff who frequently have to bump their way through the narrow passage way. There are over 140 wines available but there is no sommelier on staff to assist with a decision. The young wait staff has no real experience in wines and is overwhelmed by trying to learn it on the fly. They can only direct you to what the owner has said about a wine. The owners are Lisa and Brian Bolter, neither of whom have any prior experience as restaurant/bar or business owners. Brian is the wine buyer and should be the one to help customers select and experience a wine. But we found on each of our visits that the owner is more interested in drinking his wine and avoiding the customers altogether. Annapolis is a small town of familiar faces. Neither owner makes their presence known to the customers by welcoming or making the rounds. The only saving grace is that the wait staff seem friendly and even the bus boys go beyond expected service. The "bearded busboy" makes you feel welcome, engages in discussion and actually had attracted the patronage of those seated near us. It was somewhat a surprise that the bartenders were a bit rude and abrupt at the bar. They must not be accustomed to working in a wine bar experience. They did not offer any recommendations nor a food or wine menu. They are simply order takers and don't add any value to a wine experience. We decided to get a table since we were unaware that we could get service at the bar. The anticipated wine bar experience consisting of a vast selection of cheese plates falls devastatingly short of expectation. The build-your-own cheese selection board served was sparse consisting of 4 thin and stingy slices that were virtually see through, a handful of stale baguette rounds, a smattering of dried cranberries, a thimble-sized squirt of honey and barely anything else for almost $20. The rest of the menu didn't seem to fit with a wine vibe. The personal pizzas, panini sandwiches and rockfish seemed more suited for a beer joint. There was no "wine experience" as expected. Overall, the experience was no different than being in any other bar in Annapolis but this one just happens to have a vast wine selection. It seems that they've intentionally set their prices higher than the surrounding bars to discourage a younger bar crowd or impart an image that they can't quite deliver. Certainly, I don't feel that this place is worth the higher prices. But perhaps they will thrive on the tourist business or lobby groups once the curiousity of newness wears thin with the locals.

This is a painful review for me to write. We're longtime veterans of the business, spending years in every role from owner to manager to cook, bartender, server, and busser. We've visited four times, and I'm heavily predisposed to loving this place, but I just can't. It's clear that the owners have poured passion and time and boatloads of money into this venture, and it's tragic that there are so many problems that are so easily fixed that are keeping them in maddening mediocrity. The space: hip decor; not usually my thing, so much, but I actually like what they've done, and hipsters and fans of a more modern look will likely love it. It's whimsical and fun, eclectic yet has a certain holistic sense tying it together. Food: great every time so far. Someone in the kitchen knows what they're doing, both with designing an interesting and diverse menu and actually preparing it, and with a very attractive presentation as well. (Though be forewarned that food orders can take a little while; they've only got a small kitchen back there handmaking everything.) Like the cheese boards very much and would welcome an expansion of the selections. Wine: A diverse list that more or less matches their stated philosophy of drinking wine. The wines on tap concept is good, and should be expanded. The port "selection" (one mediocre) is abysmal. The list doesn't change; a weekly specials list would go far. We ordered a bottle of white, and fifteen minutes later were still waiting for it while our apps went cold. The server finally swung by to explain that it was almost chilled (!). When he brought it by a few minutes later, it was still warm. We let it sit in an ice bucket (no stands; he used a chair from a nearby hightop) for a while before it was drinkable. I get that the retail bottles are lining the walls for ambiance, but for crying out loud, buy a small wine fridge and keep at least one bottle of each white cold. I've given up on having reds at the proper temperature, but serving warm whites twenty minutes late is unworthy of a Bennigan's, much less a place that claims to have wine as its raison d'etre. Yeesh. Value: Prices are a bit on the high side, but not out of line. If the place solved the other issues, the price point would be a good value that we'd happily pay. As it stands, after we've had a grating experience, it's not as happy to get a $98 bill (with tip) for two people nibbling and sipping. Ambience: Three of the four times we've been there, it's been annoying. The music selection that others have mentioned, apparently selected to set the place apart from "stuffy" wine joints, or maybe just whatever the staff wants to listen to, is not conducive to conversation or relaxation. But a number of the customers at the bar are consistently loud, obnoxious, and act like they're in a frat house kegger. I understand that any business is loath to drive away any paying customer, or even risk offending by telling them to keep it down, but they've driven us out of the place early on two occasions. For example, the most recent visit had an immature party of six at the bar, including a woman with the most grating voice in the world. She spoke constantly and at screechingly high volume about subjects such as her impending trip to "pee". You'd think the relatively stiff prices would keep some of the riff-raff out, but from appearances, they're friends of the staff. (Management might want to keep an eye on inventory, if my years as a bartender are any guide.) Service: We were seated at hightops a couple times and were at the bar the other times. Staff is pleasant enough, but slow, inefficient, very laid back, and primarily interested in socializing with each other. We have yet to meet anyone who had visible knowledge of the wine list. The apparent owner was visible, but she never interacted with customers. The overall experience can come off as kind of impersonal and not especially welcoming. Check, please. Please, for the love of God, hire a manager with actual restaurant experience, who will fire the dregs and train the rest, keeping them in line with a firm hand. We understand that finding good staff in the restaurant business, especially in Annapolis, is difficult, and a new business can ill afford paying a manager's salary. But it's cheaper than losing the entire enterprise. We'd love to see you succeed, and we'll try to help with that, but you have to work with us. You've got great ideas and enthusiasm and the makings of a great place. But the execution is wildly uneven, and once you turn someone off, they're gone for good, and telling their friends as well. There are only so many potential customers in a small town like Annapolis. And for those potential customers reading this: give RRW a try. Hopefully it will continue to improve, and you'll find a fun place to hang out. And maybe you can be the change in the wine bar world that you want to see.

LOVE this spot!! The decor and ambiance is perfect!! The wine selection is impressive. The staff is extremely personable you would think you'd be stepping into a place that is complacent and pretentious with all the wines and such, but it's so completely opposite! The cheese and fruit plates are something to be marveled. A personal fave (can't remember the name of it) is the chevre blend with bits of dried lavender. It comes from Oregon and is amazing!! I would like to see them broaden their Port selection (they only have 1). I think this is the perfect place to have that and there isn't anyone else in town who has more than 2 (so I've found anyway...).
(4)William G.
I just went to red red wine bar and had wine and apps last night. I sat at the bar with my date and the service impeccable! Both of the amazing ladies behind the bar crystal and trixie were totally engaged, with offering recommendations and were amazing all night. As a director for a local business and always looking for phenomenal service I have found my hangout. It's awesome and everyone needs to try..just leave me a seat at the bar!!!
(5)M K.
They have some work to do... Great location, great idea, great wine list but staff is under-trained, hostess clueless, bar tenders over whelmed. Manager-looking types hovering but not helping staff. Open for 3 days and already sold out of some of the wines by the glass. We sent back an appetizer that was too salty and inedible. Does not appear to be operated by restaurant people which is the kiss of death. However, I hope they will have some lessons learned. I plan to give them a second chance...

My boyfriend and I have been twice now. I was super excited to see this place come to be as it seems to promise something different and unique in stuffy downtown. It's a really cute space and the music is great. I think they have a great wine list, even though I must admit I basically stick to the same type of wine always. The food was pretty tasty, we tried the "Gus" flatbread and a veggie pasta, both tasted light and fresh. We also tried the crab tostada (i think that's what they were called) which was my favorite. The only gripe I have is with the bartenders..both times we went, it took over ten minutes to get a drink from them. The first time I could understand as it was pretty busy and right at dinner time. However the second time, I was standing front and center with barely anyone seated at the actual bar. It was almost like they didn't want to make me a drink. Kinda weird. But when things are new, it's understandable that kinks have to be worked out. Definitely give it shot though! Just be more aggressive than I was, if you want a drink at the bar, lol.
(4)Kalee C.
The food is amazing and the decor is so unique and original. It's the kind of restaurant that makes me want to go back and try something new each time. They also have the greatest wine selection!
(4)Kathie P.
I can't give this restaurant 5 stars, because I have only been here one time. BUT, the food and service were awesome. I had a great salad, cream of crab soup and chicken with chablis sauce. Everything was great!!! I can't wait to go back
(4)Sheryl T.
We had a wonderful time at Red Red Wine Bar. The food was wonderful. Love the decor too!
(5)Jaime F.
Cheese plates are awesome! Great wine selection and servers always offer great recommendations. Place definitely worth going in Annapolis.
(4)Matt C.
What an experience! I waited my typical month to visit this new restaurant downtown. I wanted to make sure everything was ironed out before I tried it out. And I have to say it was worth the wait! From the reviews it seems like this place has been consistently good since it opened. Well I am happy to report the reviews were spot on. I went there with a co-worker today for lunch, and while it was a little slow inside, the staff was still all over it. Our waitress Shelley was phenomenal. She literally hit all the service points right - it was as by the book as I have ever seen and she was friendly to boot (also kind of cute - but I am not letting that bias me - promise). I ordered the roasted chicken panini and my coworker got the Gus (personal pizza). Both came out delicious and well priced - and everything just tasted fresh. The side salad I got with mine was equally ample and delicious - and their cilantro dressing was out of this world! I highly recommend it. But try it during happy hour - draft beers are regularly priced at $6 a pop - can I get a nati-boh lol. Good food, great drink selection, and an awesome ambiance. A nice addition to the downtown flare.
(4)Emma P.
Great food, good wine.....looooooong wait for food! The long wait for food was obviously to get us to drink more vino! The wine was served very quickly, so if you're in the mood and have the time to drink a lot of wine, this is the place. It was pretty empty around 2pm on a Saturday, so the wait for food was not anticipated.
(4)Maureen P.
I have to be honest and take the food at RRW down a notch (although the crab tostadas are good). As mentioned in other reviews this place in the evening is loud...they have decided to be a live music place and a wine bar! UGH, in my book not a great combo...Such a small space for extremely loud music too! I could see an acoustic guitar (which they sometimes have). So if you want a quiet wine bar to have a conversation in after 9...dont go here...you will have to yell. On the other hand, if thats your thing...you can have my seat.
(3)Emily C.
Red Red Wine Bar is so cute!! We've had a birthday party and several happy hours here and were pleased with the food/wine selection. Tourists- its a really fun place, but not the traditional "Annapolis Bar," so if thats what your looking for keep walking down towards Middletons :) (oyster shooters!!) The prices are fair and you can spend as much or as little as you want on food. This place does have great variety on the menu ($8 flatbreads - $25 fish/steak). Wines are decently priced anywhere between $8 and $13, but HH specials will make those prices cheaper. Considering this place is a wine bar, the bartenders don't seem to know as much as they should about wine. Regardless, I've gone many times and will continue to go back. The place is also pretty casual so you can sit at the bar after walking around all day, no one will be offended here. I love it!
(4)Natalie F.
This place has a wonderful ambience and beautiful decor. However after each visit I seem to get very ill whether I just eat, drink or have a little of both. This has happen to many of my friends as well. After Sunday Brunch I will not return. Myself and two my friends all got sick. It was awful
(2)Chris P.
wine on tap...nuff said.
(4)Janelle E.
I'd really love to give RRW more stars, but I just can't. The place is beautiful, the selection is AMAZING, I love that they have a good wine on tap, and the food is pretty good...If you like pizza, try The Gus - it's pretty darn good. I also really like the brie toast and shrimp skewers, but haven't tried much else. That said, I just can't get over the fact that their staff is so...lacking. I have been multiple times and most every time the servers had no clue what was going on, with the exception of one girl who had a little better understanding of wine and was at least remotely attentive/personable. My first experience on a Saturday night was awful; weeknights have been much more successful. I think this will be a great weekday Happy Hour (though very limited...) spot, but not a regular weekend spot.

With an afternoon for relaxation before a nearby concert, husband/I enjoyed picture-perfect weather at an outdoor table for a 1st-time visit to RRWB. Our stellar server, Forest (Forrest?), expertly answered all questions and was totally available and accommodating, without being intrusive. Since RRWB was only our 1st stop, we were wanting just a great bite to share with our wine flights (Sauvignon Blanc for me and Cabernet for him), and were delighted with the pear/prosciutto pizza -- different and absolutely delicious. Our next visit to Annapolis (wish we lived closer) will feature RRWB as our primary destination. Looking forward to sampling more terrific wines and menu offerings. A total thumbs up! (If RRWB is any indication, we're also looking forward to the Bolter/owners new establishment underway just a few doors away from RRWB.)

So pleased with this place. Nice wine list , love the humorous flight options. We had 2 appetizers, the grilled shrimp (good) And the crab tostado (good). My salmon dish was yummy, andover that you pick the sides. I had grilled asparagus and the rosemary potatoes, which were both quite yummy. Enjoyed the wine flights, especially the Cabernet. And they understand what crime brûlée is supposed to be (and I'm a certified snob on this topic). I'm still in the restaurant and already looking forward to my next visit.

Best restaurant we visited in our recent trip. Food was beautiful, service was attentive and warm, waiter knew the menu and his wines. Will go back when we return!

Over all, great experience. There menu isn't too extensive for lunch but all of the food was delicious! The flat bread pizzas are amazing! The waiter was knowledgeable and helpful but a little pushy.

Great experience overall, but the bartender with the dark hair is the spawn of Satan and I won't go back until she is gone.

Excellent wines and cheeses, cool vibe. For a foodie, this is head and shoulders above any other restaurant or bar in Annapolis.

My boyfriend and I visited Red Red Wine last Saturday evening, only a few days after the official opening. After following the development process on Facebook; and as former frequent patrons of Purple Tooth wine bar in Annapolis, we were super excited about the potential of a real wine bar opening. We left very disappointed. We did not eat so I cannot speak to the quality of the food or service by the wait staff. However, as another review mentioned, they were already out of several wines by the glass which actually caused them to change the Sav Blanc flight listed on their web page. While the bartenders were friendly, they didn't seem to know a great deal about wine (or perhaps because they were totally overwhelmed they didn't have time to talk with us about their recommendations)...either translates into a poor first impression. While the wine list was pretty expansive, i was surprised that they actually carry a couple of quite average/ordinary wines not typically found in a wine bar (e.g. Barefoot White Zin and Chateau ste Michelle Riesling). I look for a wine bar to have a unique wine list, knowledgeable staff and a relaxed environment where you can explore and experience new wines. Unfortunately, Red Red Wine felt more like a nice bar that happened to serve wine. Their name doesn't seem to gel with their concept.

After reading some mixed reviews, I was a little hesitant but found myself looking for a good glass of red wine while on business in Annapolis. I went in just as HH was winding down and sat at the bar. I was greeted by the tender, I think Will was his name. He was friendly, made some good recommendations, and tended to all my needs without me having to lift a finger. On his recommendation, I ordered Artesa Elements red. I told him I liked big, bold, dry reds and that is what he poured. I was pretty impressed as it hit the mark, not once but twice! I also ordered the crab tostada appetizer which was very good. As far as the reviews from people that claim this place has an "identity crisis", maybe they are the ones with some crisis? Quite honestly, who gives a shit? Maybe they were bonafide wine snobs........I could care less what identity the place has as long as I get treated well and the food/beverages are good! I found the atmosphere to be inviting and casual. The service was great. The food was above average and the wine met my expectations. I found it to be slightly pricey, but then again it is downtown Annapolis. I will return.

I'm not a wine drinker, but I've enjoyed hanging out here with friends lately. It's not too loud, it's relaxed, and the food is pretty good (at least the personal pizza is - I've ordered "The Gus" on my last two visits). Plus, for anyone that shares my taste in beverages there is a small but satisfying craft beer selection. The decor and atmosphere are great. The furniture is actually different in each "section" and a couple areas are arranged nicely to fit bigger groups more comfortably. There are a few tables outside as well. A couple TV's are mounted behind the bar but they're not ridiculously huge and they're mounted high so you hardly notice. The music on the house system is always a good mix and never too loud. Service is excellent. The staff is friendly, courteous and prompt. Nice place.

walked past this place and then came back cuz i wanted to try it. figured i cant go wrong with a wine bar. went inside and was definitely surprised by how cozy looking it was. the bar definitely was packed but it didnt take long for us to get a table. the seats were really comfy service wasnt that good. i understand it was busy but it would have been nice to at least have our waitress stop by our table to take our orders and suggest a good wine instead of telling me oh, all wines are good so i dont know which one to recommend. hmm..but o welps, i'll let that slide. the food alone was good. pizza was really good. price was reasonable. i will come back here again.

Went for lunch with friends. Service was nice, but very slow. Not good for a business meal. I had the tuna melt and just average in flavor and bread did not compliment the filling. A soft, hearty bread would have been nice. Burger ordered was suppose to be medium and was rare. The interior is lovely and hope this one reads reviews and does well. Possible!

Went to RRW Bar on Sunday, during lunch. They had great specials, beer and eats. I had the ribs with blueberry bbq sauce. Great flavor, and less them most appts, even through it was for lunch. Great time to go, for a game, or a nice lunch. Although this rest. has $$$, it is about the same price as most of the pubs around Annapolis.

First impression is welcoming, if not a bit austere. You do not feel crammed against the next table- very nice change of pace. Excellent variety of wines at different price points. Paradigm is less red/white and more sweet/dry/bold- another fresh approach. Appetizer was pricey, and a tad underwhelming, but still good. Server was very knowledgeable and attentive, without being obtrusive. Nice place for a one on one conversation or a group happy hour or dinner. Will return!!!
