Rams Head Roadhouse Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Came here with my parents. The crab dip was surprisingly good, since I don't like crab. I found the batter on the fried pickles too thick, but the mustard to dip it in was great. My burger (a beef Round Up) had good meat, and a great mix of toppings (blue cheese, ranch, BBQ sauce, onion ring). Worth a visit.

I love the Roadhouse. The waiter staff is great. The bar tenders are friendly. They are open super late. All the football games on sundays. They have the normal Ram's Head menu but they differ from the others by offering perogies.

Great beers, good food and music that you will never forget! For a fun evening of casual dining and great music this is a sure fire country fan favorite (there is other music .... but check the listings)/. Oh and don't forget to enjoying their great beer. There are several other Rams Head restaurants locally and all are worth visiting

Went here for the fist time with a coworker and his wife after work for dinner. I had never been here before and I am glad I tried it out. I tried the house beer with a cheese steak. I also shared an order of onion rings with the table. The cheese steak is one of the best I have had in a long time and the onion rings were crispy and good. Since I had to get something for my wife, I ordered the crab cake sandwich with fries to go. The crab cake was really good and the fries were good too. If you are in the mood for some good bar food and want to try out a new beer, give this place a try. Thanks for reading my review. This review is based on my personal experience.

Not crazy about this place. All the food was over-cooked, under-cooked, or just plain cold. Seemed like it was sitting around for a while. It's part of a local chain that usually does basic bar food pretty well, but I wasn't crazy about the meal I had there. I don't know if the food quality overall is going down, or if it was an off-night. I've been to Ram's Head Annapolis a few times, and thought it was pretty good, so I'm not sure what the deal is with this location. Seems like happy hour is the place to be, so I guess I'd try it again for that.

Had some issues when I was there, especially late... some good people work there, but also some real idiots. Had chance to visit quite a few times over past few days, and am glad that I only ate there the few times that I did. Don't get me wrong... some food there is very good, as well as some good people...

The food is good and beer selection is fantastic. I really wish they would move the televisions out of the dining area and keep them at the bar only.

Roadhouse is most certainly a local place with awsome beer, not just the Fordham brews. Locals keep coming back, the place must be worth the visit. Beer Club has a great selection of beers from around the world. Opinion: Best Beer Club in the area. Staff is always awsome and friendly. No empty beer glass is left unattended. Happy Hour is one of the best in the area, complimentary Happy Hour snacks too. Been trying to get Happy Hour on the weekends as well, or at least during the live televised sports events. Go O's. Daily specials and menu choices are very good. The stars are due to awsome service and very good food..... Almost forgot, damn good beer makes me forget stuff. Come for the mixed drinks, bar staff is very creative and generous.

Take it how you want, but this is a true reflection of the culinary culture of Annapolis. Fried served with a side of lukewarm beer. Sorry (not sorry), but their motto "Food, Fun, Beer" is not an accurate description of the overall vibe. Though the food here is better than the Rams Head in downtown Annapolis, it's really not much better. The rockfish bites were flavorless, the salads and sandwiches were forgettable, and the fish and chips were all greasy and floppy. Sad, really. The worst part is the lukewarm beer, both draft and bottled. I won't totally slam this place...the location is very convenient for Crownsville locals and Annapolitans alike. It's located right on Generals Highway. And they even have pretty good entertainment/specials sometimes. If you're not really a foodie and just want a decent place to grab "okay food", you found it!

Loved this place! Stopped in for a late lunch with the boyfriend. He grew up in Sherwood Forrest across the street, so he was more than excited to stop by an old favorite. The atmosphere is nice. Lots of big TVs, a big bar area, and nice new bathrooms! Definitely an A+ in my book. The bartender/waitress was very knowledgeable about beer and food. I ordered their house IPA and some nachos, and my guy got the cheesesteak and the Gypsy lager. The beer was great and cold, and the food came out fast and hot. The nachos are HUGE. I mean they are served on a pizza tray. SO MUCH FOOD. And there were plenty of toppings, unlike a lot of other places where you basically get a bag of chips with a tiny amount of toppings. Under the chips there was a layer of hot refried beans, like some treasure at the bottom of a treasure chest. Their draft house root beer is amazing!! Order some!!!

I find it humorous that they actually gave someone the title of "executive chef"... There is no skill level of a chef taking place in that kitchen.. In fact, that's insulting to chefs who work hard to put a decent product on a plate. Head cook would be a more fitting title. I went because I was invited, but there was nothing fresh brought to our table. In fact, the root beer that was served to our party was expired. Simply put, everything I ate was pre-made or frozen garbage.. I wouldn't return to eat anything at this restaurant if my entire bill was on the house... I paid $60 for a $25 value.. Terrible..

Good food and good service and they have a nice deck outside to sit on. They have a great beer selection on tap along with the regulars. Try the wings and the specials are usually a good deal.

My first vist to the Roadhouse left a very good impression. Food was really good. I had shrimp. Staff was great. I will definitely return. The only minus is, they didn't serve Angry Orchard.

Good beer list, nice happy hour. The food is decent and I'm loving the addition of the porch. Great for outdoor dining. They book fun bands and the trivia is great. Service is iffy, could use a little work. I'm a pretty good tipper and over time some of the wait staff has become more attentive. But seems most times than not, I get pretty below average service. It's not so bad that I'd never come back, but as a long time patron, it's kind of annoying.

Our first time here. We will be back. Nice. Great burger cold beer .The rock fish bites are amazing. Highly recommend they are welcoming, knowledgeable. Staff are so nice not phoney. Stop in. Great menu and selection of beer.

We get takeout at least twice a month here. The food is good, the portions are great: Lures is good too but they give you JUST enough of everything and that's why I mentioned that here.. They give you plenty of condiments for it like dressing and butter and all that. The little side salads are always fresh and tasty and we love the dressing. We don't drink beer, don't drink at all, so I can't attest to the "roadhouse" part.

Was there outside on the porch enjoying the sun beautiful weather I order the pizza pan nachos so delicious love it.amd had there draft beer smoothed and cold like it will come again.

Great! Ordered the nachos, and it's a great size portion, the salsa was amazingly good. Also ordered a champagne drink with orange juice and a mango puree, great taste. Prices are a bit pricy but so worth it and decent portion sizes. Services are great, they take great care of you! Will be back to try other items on the menu!

It's a great bar with great service and consistent food. Daily happy hour with free snacks?! Lobster Monday's and $5 burger night on Thursday. It's cozy and as a policy stay open until last call every single night. Around dinner time the host/hostess opens the door for each party which makes me feel classy. It's down the road from home and I don't care what you think!

$5 hamburger Thursday-- great burger, good fries and piping hot onion rings!! Great local pub The atmosphere is a bit loud but not as bad as places like the Green Turtle.

Two coworkers that live in Annapolis insisted that we get together here for a working lunch while I was in DC. From Dulles to here is not exactly crossing the street, so the entire time I was making the half loop around the Beltway, I was muttering how this place had better be worth it. And yes, it certainly was! We set up and spread out on a table in the back. No wifi, but we were hooked up with a Verizon MiFi so all was good. Our waitress got us food and left us alone so that we could hammer out yet another useless business document and worse yet, read it out loud! When the work part was over, one of my coworkers excused himself, something about having a family at home that misses him. That sign of weakness alone was enough to cause me to reach for the whisky. Or at least that is my excuse. The other coworker and I decided to stay for 'just one.' When that just one was finished (at about 1 AM), we had thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the hospitality our hosts displayed. They put up with our left wing liberal rantings (it just seemed like a good position to take out here in the middle of the woods) and didn't seem at all threatened by our elevated tone of voice. The food here is excellent bar grub. I don't remember (much of anything come to think of it) there being anything particularly healthy on the menu, which by itself is an extra star. I mean, really....why come to a bar in the woods and look for humus and spinach? They have live music at this place, although they didn't the evening we were there (unless one of us ended up singing on the bar.....which may have happened by the way). So, while rereading this entire review, I've come to the conclusion that I remember very few actual details of the visit here, but from the pounding in my head the next morning, I give this Annapolis gem 4 stars and a hearty recommendation for all to stop in and indulge.

I've been here 3 times and I am only basing my review on the cleanliness and service, because I think the food is average but you may love it or hate it. This restaurant seems very clean and the service has been average or above average each time. The last time I was here the server was excellent and kept checking on my table even though the place was super packed for happy hour. The first two times the servers were just okay. I am not a demanding restaurant patron and I feel uncomfortable when the servers are at the table every couple of minutes, but the servers at this place where somewhere on the non-existent side of the spectrum during my first couple of visits.

Went twice. Slow service both times, food so-so. got the beer sampler, and none of the beers were worth ordering on their own! Nice patio, solid local spot for music but nothing to crow about as a restaurant/bar.

  • Meghan C.

Super friendly! We walked in and the bartender was like "HI!" WHY, HELLO GOOD SIR! We grabbed a booth, the service was attentive and friendly. Couldn't get a frozen beverage, but apparently that is just an MD thing - no frozen drinks it seems, or at least I couldn't find one for the life of me LOL! Husband got the crab melt which he loves, I had the uhhhhhh roast beef sandwich? It was open face, huge, and tasty. Mom got a big salad. Generally, a win and you don't have to fight with downtown Annapolis traffic to get Rams Head food.

  • Phil B.

Ram's Head Roadhouse is an actual roadhouse - I love it when the label fits the reality. But this is a nicely put together roadhouse and it is a good choice for a casual dinner or drink. The interior surprised me: bigger, cleaner and brighter than I had imagined when driving by. There are plentiful televisions for watching sports and the service is friendly. The fried pickles were very good - just enough batter and salty pickle slices (the way they should be). The burger was cooked to my order and the french fries were perfect. To top it off, the Roadhouse sponsors a beer club where, upon completion, you get $2.50 drafts for life.

I really like the crab dip here. I haven't ever gotten anything that was horrible. Their fries are really good too, kinda like boardwalk style fries. They serve them with vinegar and ketchup, as they should. I went here with a large group, the waitress we had was very attentive, but the food seemed to come out at weird times... Idk if it was because we ordered at different times or what but noboby was ever eating at the same time, which really didn't bother us because we weren't there to eat, just to hang out. I got the mai-tai's it's not on the menu, the cost was 5.50, came with a lot of ice, so much lime flavor and not a lot of alcohol. It was good aside from the lime overload. I just wish there was more alcohol in it for such a small glass and the price. Overall, I like this place. I do have to mention that the girls bathroom has a window in it, with no curtain. that is inside the stalls. There are only two stalls and the window straddles both. I kept looking back to make sure nobody was peeping, but maybe im just a little paranoid, it seemed like an odd place to have an open window.

While they call this a "Roadhouse," don't expect to find a Patrick Swayze look-a-like in tight jeans breaking up bar fights. Nor should you expect watered-down beer, surly waitresses, or peanut shells littering the floor. So really, there isn't much "roadhouse" about this place... which is alright by me! The Roadhouse brings what you expect from the Ram's Head group -- good food, great beer, friendly service, and the best happy hour around. There's no restaurant-like section, it's all basically a big bar, and it looks like you just seat yourself (we do!). There are plenty of televisions for watching the game. The menu offers the usual pub grub, as well more substantial entrees. There's wide overlap with the regular Ram's Head menu, as to be expected. All the sandwiches come with chips, but for an additional buck you can substitute fries. For additional two dollars, you can get... deep-fried pierogi? Did I read that right? Yup... and they're delicious!

I have given this restaurant more stars, because the food has improved, and their amazing Saizon (sp?) beer they are currently serving. It's almost like a dunkel, which I LOVE. They have added a few new things to their appetizers, the crab stuffed mushrooms which were pretty surprisingly good...I will have to try the shrimp pin wheels next time I go in since I've heard some rave reviews about them as well. My bf got the Italian grabber, I got the generals panini. Both VERY good. Fresh ingredients, and great portions. All in all, a great dining experience. Wanted to try the pork sandwich, but I was one person too late, as the last of the pork was ordered right before I ordered mine. I'll have to try it next time. And I still think they do have the best happy hour deal in town. Hands DOWN. TELL ME IF I AM WRONG!!! ;-)

We live about 3 hours away from this place, and anytime we are anywhere close at all to the Ram's head roadhouse we will make a special detour to eat here! The beer selection is always awesome, the food has been made perfect everytime and we love the feel of the place. I will always recommend the Ram's Head to anyone!

This is the first time I've been to Ram's Head, since it switched over from Rudy's. And what a difference time (and probably a decent amount of money) has made! I used to think of the place as strictly a biker bar. I only went once while it was Rudy's, but was pretty turned off by the paper plates and plastic utensils, to match the metal folding chairs. Since then, it has become significantly nicer (although still mostly a bar, and very casual). The food was what surprised me though. I got the fresh cut french fries with bacon, cheese, and gravy (yeah, I know, very healthy). They were outstanding! It's hard to screw that order up, but still, very good. For my main course, I got the crab mac and cheese. I was surprised to find it was even better than I expected it to be. The mac and cheese would have been good on its own, but it was absolutely loaded with crab meat. Easily every bite had some crab in it, and there was more than enough left over to take home. Of course, as usual, I left my to go box at the restaurant :( I just wish I remembered to take a picture of it before I had eaten half of it....it was impressive. I will definitely be back again soon. They also had live music. Typically, I don't like live music (just too loud for me). But, it was a pretty good jazz/blues group (Ursula, was the lead singer's first name) which made for a nice atmosphere while we ate. They don't have live music every night, though. They serve dinner until 11pm, and then just pizza until 1am!

Too locals, this will always be "Rudy's". Taken over by Ram's Head, the food is very good and crowd still has that Annapolis charm. I usually get the french dip sub but everything seems good.

This is definitely the local spot! Had such a great time that ended up going here twice - once alone and once with colleagues from training. On Monday, enjoyed the 2.75$ happy hour of beer microbrewed by Fordham Brewing. To sweeten the deal, they had free tacos with the happy hour. You get 2 coupons for either hard shell or soft. They place some seasoned ground meat inside and then you pick your toppings of lettuce, tomato, salsa, cheese, and sour cream. They also had chips that you can add to your plate. I ended up putting some toppings on those as well. Met a crazy local at the bar who stated that 'its not a hick bar until I get here'. He clearly new the bartender and establishment personnel. I thank this kind sir for a few hookups that night. Really liked the photos of the catfish on his phone! That night, they also had a contest to guess the weight of a lobster! They place a live lobster on the bar, and you fill out a sheet of paper where you place your name next to a weight. I was off by nearly a pound but it was a pretty neat contest. One of the locals won the poor critter which was promptly cooked and packaged for takeout. (You can also eat it onsite if you want.) Did I mention, this night with tip cost me less than 18$ and I had at least 4 pints! The bartender was nice to provide small samples of the other varieties of beer to which I did not want to make a pint commitment - namely the wheat and light flavoured beers. Apparently they use real cherries for the flavoured beer! The next day, stopped by for happy hour and enjoyed my favourite brews from the night before - Copperhead Ale and Tavern Ale. I did enjoy the Rams Head IPA which wasnt too bad and the off course the Dominion Oak Barrel Stout, however, they ran out of that! We were a bit hungy after a few beers and we ordered the Beer Batter Onion Rings and Ace Killer Wings w/ Habanero Mango. I wasnt very impressed with the Beer Batter Onion Rings, but ordering it was not my idea. The wings on the other hand were 'OK'. They were a bit on the small side and dry, so asked for a side of the habanero mango. That worked quite well. The night progressed quite well, and ended up playing Dart Cricket (learned the game for the first time) and having a few Irish car bombs. Yeah, it was a good night. So happy I wasnt on the hook for the bill this time around, lol. In summary, love this place... it screams local. Everyone here knows eat other, talks with each other, and sometimes plays tricks on the bartenders, servers, and bus boys. Its a great time, good beer, and decent food. If you are looking for gourmet food though, this wouldnt exactly be the place... but its not bad. Best of all, I felt quite welcomed and had an excellent 2 evenings. Highly recommended.

I love the crabcake sandwich here. Good price for what you get. Bartenders are always friendly and generally care about their customers. Anytime you pay attention when my drinks are getting low will only earn you a bigger tip from me. To the moron who write the review about not having any women working there, well he must be blind! I have only seen women work here and maybe one or two guys. But regardless so what who cares guys have to work too. And he was to worried about T&A, well there's always Hooters buddy!!! Two thumbs up for me. I hope Rams Head stays for a long time.

I have been to other Rams Heads but I think this place has won my heart. It is close to home, yet off the beaten path. We have gone with other couples and just my husband and I. The atmosphere is inviting. They offer local live music on the weekends with no cover. They offer a multitude of happy hour and daily food specials. Drink specials are usually from 4 PM - 7 PM with a free food item from 5 PM - 7 PM. They have a World Beer Club, which you can join for free on Tuesdays. You will get to sample over 100 beers from around the world and upon completion you will receive various gifts from the Roadhouse. They serve Fordham Brew and offer a sampler with five of their Brews for $5.95. A great way to sample their regular drafts and their seasonal draft. For appetizers, we have had their pizza pan nachos (served plain, w/chicken or w/chilli) and their perogies. The nachos are broiled, giving them a great taste and allowing the chips to remain crisp. The perogies were fried and served with sour cream, garnished wiht scallions. Both were great. Our entrees have included: Dos Amigos Tacos - Beer battered fish tacos served with crunchy coleslaw and chipotle mayonnaise. Side accompaniments are rice and black beans and a small side of guacamole. Not a fan of the crunchy coleslaw but this is the perfect meal for the small appetite or someone who partook of two many appetizers. Tavern Burger - served with chips or for a little more perogies or fries. This is an angus burger served on a kaiser roll with a pickle chip. Grilled to perfection. The Rueben: classic with corned beef or turkey, saukraut, thousand island dressing and swiss cheese on rye. Though we have yet to try the pizza, it is next on our list. They have a pizza deal which includes an original pizza and a six pack of domestic beer for $19.99. This is for to go only. The staff is always pleasant and is well versed in offering insights to the menu and specials. All this being said, if you are looking for a warm inviting pub atmosphere with quality food and good service, this is a great place to go with friends or your significant other.

We frequently visit the Roadhouse. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive. They make the best burgers and hot wings in town. Our favorite thing is their willingness to split an order to be shared with no extra costs or expectations. Terrific music and all the sports you could ever need to watch.

Fun, food is good, wide beer selection. Downstairs smelled funky. Fish tacos were tasty and portion was large.

$5 hamburger Thursday-- great burger, good fries and piping hot onion rings!! Great local pub The atmosphere is a bit loud but not as bad as places like the Green Turtle.

Terrible..
