To be serious, I worked there 6 years ago.they did"t provide groves for making sushi ,so gross and disgusting.and owners hire illegal people for making sushi and cleaning dishes!and paying only little money! And they dodge a tax!

The consensus seems to be that Joss is the better sushi restaurant, but I prefer Nano. It's not great, but Annapolis seems to be lacking on quality sushi. After my vast disappointment with the Spicy Real Crab Meat California roll, I decided to play it safe here and have the crunchy spicy salmon roll. They used freshly sliced salmon, as a opposed to the premade stuff in the container, which I prefer. They certainly did not skimp on the tempura. I am not usually one on presentation but the whole plate just looked messy. Additionally my rolls were falling apart each time I tried to pick one up. The food tasted good, not the best I have ever heard, but nowhere close to being the worst but I found myself hungry again a couple of hours later. The service was nice and I got my order quick relative to being their during the lunch rush. I guess if I am doing sushi for lunch, I will probably make this my usual spot, but if anyone knows of another place, I am open.

Pan-Asian dining with Thai, Sushi in a place owned by some Taiwanese. Portions are pretty big and good to share. I've stayed away from the sushi and focused more on the noodle dishes when I'm there, with the Pad Thai actually quite tasty (I'm not usually a fan of this) and the Singapore noodles a bit of fun. Can get quite crowded on a weekend night with a mix of locals, Midshipmen and tourists. Never really had a wait, but have been there when nearly every table is full.

This place is gross!! Walked in, it was totally empty (yet Joss up the street was too packed, wait too long) sat down to have a sick waitress.. the rolls were gross!! The shrimp tempura cold, the smoked salmon was too "smokey" and not enough salmon, we ordered some expensive roll that tasted like it came out of a fish tank. Very fishy and gross and when we complained, the owner had a complete attitude. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Joss all the way!!

Great place to stop in and get a solid shushi lunch. Had the miso, vegie tempura, and a bunc hof different rolls. All top notch and very attentive service.

Horrible, sat for long time waiting for a menu!Had my tea but no menu...ooops she said. There was ONE other person in the place and about 5 servers with nothing to do. After that they came by to often and were annoying. The food was expensive and awful. The spicy tuna on top of my roll was like dog food.Tried to scrape it off but in the end paid and left the crappy food on the table. There are so many nice sushi places around.Joss,Yama etc don't bother with this place. Joss is bigger now so just go there if you want sushi...or chick and ruths right down the street for everything else.AVOID AT ALL COST

Always quality, delicious sushi, made well. They have a stop drop and roll sushi that is yummy if you're ever in the mood for something spicy and fattening. The sashimi is great, they don't over charge for it, even though sushi bars themselves tend to be pricey. They also have a diverse menu from the kitchen, but I have yet to try it. I like the ambience. You can sit at a bar, table, or traditional-feeling booth of sorts, or they even have floor seating in a back room for the real experience. Really cool art work too! Service could be a little more attentive though.

Stopped in for sushi at Nano this weekend and was pretty disappointed. The sushi was not great. The small, simple rolls were OK but the specials were very overpriced and not very good. There are a couple other sushi options in downtown Annapolis. I'd suggest checking those out first...

For Annapolis, this is an average sushi experience and really only deserves 2.5 stars. The food is prepared and presented well, and is actually on the tastier side of mediocre. However, this place *seriously* lacks atmosphere. I would say that this place is better for take-out than dining in. I was actually so uncomfortable during my first meal here that I rushed through it just to get out! I advise against accepting a seat near the window. There was also a funny odor, and the bathroom could afford some extra attention both for cleanliness and redecorating. If they can get their act together, this place could deserve the full 3 stars, instead of only the 2.5 I want to give them.

I don't understand the bad reviews! I always have a pleasant meal here. The Pink Lady roll is my absolute favorite. And the fried rice is also great. Large portion too! There are quite a few places on Main St. for sushi, Nano is the spot. Delicious!

A wonderful spot for a thoroughly unplanned dinner date that turned out to be one the best sushi/asian inspired meals my fiancé and I have ever enjoyed. We stopped in after two passerby's recommended the restaurant and the online reviews backed them up. The staff was very friendly and the quiet, relaxing atmosphere was a nice change of pace from the busy weekend crowd outside. My fiancé, a sushi fiend who has known to devour more fish and rice in one sitting than is humanly possible, placed an order for a handful of rolls and sashimi, and I ordered the fried rice with chicken, shrimp, and beef. Now let me take a moment to say that I know my fried rice. As a Jew who was raised with the tradition of Chinese food on Christmas and the dangerous gift of several truly outstanding Chinese food restaurants in my home town, I've downed more than my fair share of soy-sauced, veggie sprinkled, meat filled rice dishes. And I can say that, with complete and utter certainty, this was the BEST fried rice I have had in my entire life. The shrimp was fresh and sweet, the chicken was moist and flavorful, and the steak was so buttery and tender that I was genuinely taken aback by how amazingly good it was. Overall a fantastic meal with equally lovely service at a wonderful little restaurant we cannot wait to return to.

Recommended by USNA alumnus and it did not disappoint. The food was flavorful not overly spiced. The rolls are a takeoff from usual recipes but are packed with fresh ingredients. Price is reasonable. Cooking is Taiwanese influenced with predominant Japanese dishes.

Dirty and not so good anymore. Used to love to eat here but never again. Food was good not great. Got up to us bathroom after we ate and was disgusted. Was so dirty. The floor and kitchen area was disgusting that I could see. Made me feel sick the rest of the day. Ugh.

I've been coming here for ages, and I'm a massive fan of the Crazy Mango roll- I literally COME here just to order this when I can. It's shrimp tempura and mango, and just a terrifically surprising combination!

The owner and server Monika were really great ...very helpful...food was Awesome... We had Mango chicken..sweet and saucy....loved it...spring roll was big and fresh vegetables... Dumplings were fried but not too much... Hot pot was great did not even need the Rice made spicy as we wanted it...Pad Thai...With fat noodles was a new twist for us but it was very delicious... All under $60....what a deal in downtown for something we loved...Enjoy....:)

I love Nano. My boyfriend and I go here all the time. The crunchy spicy tuna roll is my favorite. Their crunchy rolls are unique because of the panko bread crumbs on top. So delicious. I always ask for a side of spicy mayo and I'm set!

  • Rachel M.

I ordered the kama kazi roll and it did not taste fresh. Also, my wasabi appeared to be old, not soft with some brownish color to it. The only reason I am giving it one star is because of the "all shrimp tempura" appetizer. That was good, however they only give 3 pieces for $7. Won't be coming back.

Joss was closed and as I was sitting there reading Nano's menu, I sure did miss my go-to items at Joss. But Nano was open so I gave them a shot. I've eaten here several times and wasn't all that impressed but when you're hungry for sushi at an odd time of the day, this is where I go when I'm downtown! The ambiance is nice and the service is decent. I think they could focus a little more on the quality of the ingredients they use. I'm willing to pay a higher price. SPICY AHI AND AVOCADO. It had an orange mayo sauce over everything that wasn't my fav. I'd rather taste the food rather than the sauce. The pile of spicy ahi was generous! It's a ton to share but it had some gritty bites to it- the quality of the tuna wasn't anywhere near top shelf. I ate it with a bowl of rice and couldn't finish it all. HOMEMADE EGGPLANT entree. They said it was lightly battered but I peeled a lot of the batter off and it didn't have all that much flavor. WASABI SHUMAI. Good flavor but the pork filling was a little gritty like their ahi. CALIFORNIA ROLL. Too much cucumber made it bland and watery. Maybe a little sushi vinegar in the rice would also be good?

This is my favorite sushi restaurant. Everything is amaZing and part of the reason I moved back to Annapolis was to be closer to this restaurant! The spicy tuna avocado salad is one of my favorites. Anything spicy tuna is my favorite at this restaurant. Even the fried rice and pad tai is fabulous. Highly recommend this restaurant.

SPICY SCALLOPS! This sushi is heaven when done correctly, the creaminess from the mayonnaise and the scallop come together makes for a delicious dish! Not too much mayo, not much heat, just enough to warm you from this cold and snowy day. I needed some comfort food and went to Annapolis to run errands. Annapolis has three sushi places and I went for the first one, Nano because it was too cold. Nano is small and inviting, it was not busy like the others, but that did not stop me from bellying up to the sushi bar and peruse the menu. Their prices are a bit steep which took me by surprise, so I did not bother to go for the specialty rolls which weren't that exciting anyways. My friend Todd turn me on to spicy scallop sushi so that is my litmus test on a good sushi place. Their service was good and the place is clean! The quality of the sushi is really great, the fish is smooth in texture and melts lovely in your mouth. I had to be very careful of how loud I was when I said yum. I have not had dinner here, but for lunch is good. I recommend this place, try it out!

  • Devon M.

I got the Kami Kaze roll which I thought was solid but not spectacular. The prices of the classic sushi rolls are very reasonable ($4-6), however the specialty rolls are a bit over my budget ($11-17). If I could give this place 3.5 starts, I would. But i'll give them the benefit of the doubt because the staff is friendly.

I'm usually pretty nice about reviews, but this place is garbage. I ordered a tuna and avocado roll. The roll was sloppily made and the avocado was brown. Okay, I know that avocado browns over time...but not that quickly. I arrived at noon for lunch. I sent the roll back. I was sitting at the bar with super uncomfortable, but "cute" chairs. I saw the chef sift through a bunch of brown avocado looking for fresh pieces while making my replacement roll, which was pretty awful. I was so fed up that I took a bite and asked for the check. The food is old. I don't trust this place. Joss is much better.

This place has some good sushi and the service is really speedy. I got vegetarian sushi. It was pretty good, but it wasn't amazing. I did also feel that it wasn't the cleanest restaurant ever. The second time I went here they sat us In the way back area where you set like on the wood floor. They told us we had to take off our shoes. This I found rather gross, just because we hadn't planned to do this. You have to stick your feet it this gross pit that looks like it hadn't been cleaned. My sister didn't even have socks on, so that was gross. Also, I had boots on and it took me like 5 minutes to get them back on in the middle of the restaurant. Just be prepared if you sit back there!

Went here last month... "Meh" is exactly how I would describe it. The place was packed and people were waiting outside, so we figured it must be good. Nope. We had Nigiri, which was the only good thing. The sushi rice was wayyy overcooked, and the pad thai was dry. Our server sucked. She barely mumbled anything to us throughout the meal. Saving grace (from 1 star): The manager. She was friendly and upbeat, and talked to us on our way out. Her kindness caught me off guard, and I didn't have the heart to tell her that we didn't really enjoy it. It was almost as if it was too late. Oh well.

The atmosphere in this place is awesome! I love the decor and the ambiance of the restaurant. The sushi itself was OK. I ordered the Chorishi Roll which was a shrimp tempura and spicy tuna roll. It probably would have been better if it wasn't swimming in sauce. This was a large roll and I think it came with about 12 pieces, which was a lot more than I was expecting. The fried tofu was really good. The sauce was a bit salty but I am a fan of the tofu. Everything here comes in large quantities and the prices are more reasonable than Joss' (which is about 2 doors down). They didn't have many choices for dessert, only Mango with Sticky Rice and Mochi Ice Cream.

After a day of shopping in downtown Annapolis, my friend and I were in the mood for sushi and walked into Nano's. We were greeted and promptly seated. The customer service was great and efficient. The menu also had a great selection. Where they lost points was in the taste. It tasted fresh, but very BLAND! I got the Annapolitan which had mango in it, but you could not taste it. My friend had the stop drop and roll it (i think that's what it was called) and it was supposed to have spicy guacamole in it. In order for it to even have a kick she had to order spicy mayo on the side! Our Philadelphia rolls were sub-par. It was pretty much just salmon and rice. The cream cheese (my favorite part) was barely even proportioned. Sorry Nano's, but I was not impressed.

I ordered a very simple dish that I get at every Japanese restaurant I try. The yaki soba had a bad taste in it that did not mesh well. I sent that back and they got me their volcano chicken which I asked to get extra spicey. It came out awful!! One of the worst I've ever had at a restaurant. When the waitress came I told her that I didn't enjoy my dish however my friends dish was amazing. She then said well you should order that next time and charged me for the food. I paid for it but felt they deserved me to comment on here.

Went there last Wednesday nite with my wife. We went at a great time around 9:30pm and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Very good Sushi, huge rolls with enough for leftovers. What really made the experience even better was the owner came over and personally checked on us. Ms. Ling, she was so nice and thoughtful and you could tell she really cared about her business and customers! I will definitely be returning the next time we go downtown.

I go to Nano very often - sometimes I end up going twice every day for a whole weekend. I love the food, the owner, the servers, and the chefs are very friendly and welcoming. They always have the Beatles playing which is pretty random but also epic. And as far as I've experienced, the place is kept nice and clean. The noise level is pretty average, and if you wanted to go on a casual date here it would be a viable option. The only reason that the review isn't 5 stars is that I did have a crappy server experience - but that was once on Valentine's Day because our servers were flirting with each other instead of working.

  • Will S.

I frequent sushi places, and this is one of the best I have been to ever. The atmosphere is not the greatest, but it is still a good and clean place. The staff is super friendly, as you would expect at a sushi place, and is helpful with suggestions. Spider roll is amazeballs, very good proportion of fish and rice. Spicy scallop is great, we usually do not like spicy things but this was just a touch of heat. The basic tuna + avocado, and salmon+avocado were surprisingly great as well. The house hot sake is delicious, and pairs well with the sushi.

It was great sushi and the fact that it's located in Annapolis makes it a nice go to date option. You have a check off menu and submit it. It gets pretty busy on a nice day, but we had reservations and it was my birthday. I'd go back and recommend it to anyone. I had the hot sexy mama roll and side crunchy shrimp tempora roll. Both were amazing! Average priced sushi too.

I have eaten there before, never had a problem. Until we went there Sunday April 6, 2014. Sat at the bar. Ordered. Not 5 minutes in, COCKROACH comes crawling RIGHT ON THE BAR BY MY UTENSILS. I thought maybe "nah, stink bug." Nope. Roach, at least 1 1/2 inches long. My wife got up. The server says "we'll move you to a different table." Ummm, no thanks, we don't like eating roachy food. After looking them up, saw at least 3 former reviews, all the way back to September 2011, of the same complaint! Roaches! CHECK THE "COMMENTS NOT RECOMMENDED" LINK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE MAIN PAGE-Another "ROACH REVIEW" is on there from 9/2013! Yech. Stay away if you care about your health!

I had finished my meal here and was waiting for my milkshake at Annapolis Ice Cream Shop when I saw the owner of Nano tapping on the glass and holding my car keys and water bottle in his hand. He had spotted my friend on the phone outside and ran my items down the street for me. How nice. The owner definitely gets five stars. He also greeted us entering and leaving the restaurant. The atmosphere gets 2 stars. Nice seating but didn't feel overly clean. It smelled like a bar with old beer that needed to get mopped up. Most sushi places are impeccably clean. The service gets 3 stars. On par with other sushi places. The food gets 2 stars. People should be blown away by flavor in specialty rolls, for better or worse depending on their particular taste. I thought all our rolls tasted bland. I might as well have ordered all California rolls because they tasted similar if not better than our Spider and Superman rolls. The soy sauce and wasabi provided the most complex flavors in our meal - to give you an idea. Sushi should be refreshingly fresh. This was not so here. Overall, I give it three stars. I might try it again if you twisted my arm and bought me an ice cream cone after. I'm not disposed to paying $13.00 for a Spider Roll that doesn't taste much better than the $5 California Rolls. If you come here keep it simple, get some Miso Soup and some basic rolls.

Brought my niece here to introduce her to sushi. Though she was not a fan of sushi, she loved everything else she ordered. And my bf and I loved the sushi!! We traveled to Annapolis to dine at Joss cafe but like so many other times we wished to eat there, they were closed! I may have to take that restaurant off of my favorites for the simple fact of their poor hours. Next time we visit Annapolis, Nano is where we will go!! :)

    (4)
  • Erin R.

Sushi was decent, but for their normal rolls I'd like to see more fish in the roll. The service was only ok too, they brought us our check without us asking for it or asking us if we wanted something else. I was going to order more because I was still hungry but if you assume for me, I'll spend the rest of my money elsewhere!

3.5***/* I showed for a late dinner after doing some work in downtown Annapolis. I have always had good service and average to above average Sushi. The restaurant is in located in the center of Main Street so it is convenient. You can park on the street or better yet in the parking garage and it is a short walk to Nano. Kevin the owner was in tonight and we had a pleasant exchange as usual. I find their rolls to be generous portions and somewhat unique. This is not the best sushi dining you will experience but it is good. I had two rolls and a couple beers for $30.00 with tip.

the only things positive about this place is the service and space. They are very sweet and attentive and there is much more room than Joss, but the sushi is quite terrible. Not fresh and very "fishy" smelling. eek

I ordered food for delivery while I was visiting Annapolis. I had Volcano Beef and General Tao's Chicken. The food arrived so fast I thought it must have been pre made or microwaved. The chicken was overdone (don't ask me how they got it overdone so quickly) and the sauce was nothing to write home about. General Tao's is a stand by for me when I want really bad Chinese food and this dish wouldn't stand up to most cheap takeout Chinese places. The beef was also overdone and the sauce thick and under spiced with an unbelievable amount of zucchini. When I started this review Nano was 3 stars, mainly for the service and quick delivery. But thinking back on how mediocre the food was, I can't give it more than a two.

I'll admit it - I'm a bit of a sushi snob. And I will say 90% of the time - this place delivers tasty and fresh sashimi/sushi consistently. I don't eat rolls or thai fried rice at a "Japanese" restaurant - yes this place is actually Taiwanese owned - but the sushi is excellent for the area. I drive 40min quite regularly from Baltimore - just to have their Uni - which is stellar. If you don't eat Uni - you've got to start. Just start your Crestor now...

This evening a friend and I wanted sushi and stumbled upon this place while walking down main street. Not knowing much about this area, being here on business, I said what the heck and was pleasantly surprised. The sushi was somewhat inexpensive and tasty. Got some simple rolls, spicy tuna, avocado and salmon, whitetail, and avocado. The Saki was tangy and crisp which was tasty with a nice kirlin (sp?) beer. Overall it was a good restaurant. The service was quick and efficient and our server even brought waters out without us even asking, which where I'm from is unheard of. If your strolling through town and Nano catches your eye, stop in, it won't be disappointing.

Went on a busy Saturday night, and the service was so fast. Borderline annoying with the checking on us every 5-10 mins. The sushi was great, had a few rolls alaska roll, eel, tuna and a salmon. I prefer it over Joss, but I have always liked a messier roll with lots of sauce and avacado

  • Jessica S.

Nano is our go-to. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. We love their appetizers and just about everything else on the menu as well. We go here on the most casual lunch trips and for more formal occasions like anniversaries and birthday dinners. Sitting in the floor in the back room is fun too. Don't be scared off by some of these 1 or 2 star reviews. I have been here 100 times and never gotten a bad piece of food. Love it!!

  • Christine C.

Thumbs up. Sushi is great - love the dynamite and tornado rolls! Great go-to place for sushi. Service gets an A+. Presentation isn't anything to write home about, but the flavor is fresh and delicious, and there is enough space in the restaurant to breath (as opposed to another sushi-spot just a couple of doors down where while you are waiting for a table the staff will tell you to get out of their way)!

    (4)
  • Jason S.

When Joss is just too busy this place is a close second. Allow me to say that their sushi is fresh, clean, and a really good value for a downtown joint. The sake is hot, the sushi selection is pretty standard, and well hey, the atmosphere is pretty nice. The servers here don't have the attitude that they are doing you a favor as can happen else where in town so give the place a shot, you may not be wowed, but you won't be disappointed either.

Nano's should be called Nono's. The inner decor should have been the first sign that there is something a little fishy about this place. I am a sushi lover and in haste took my boyfriend and his sister here thinking that it was really a sushi place I went to a year earlier. Miso soup was okay. Side Ginger salad was some wet lettuce with a splash of orange food coloring. I was astonished how fast the food came out! It was nearly instant gratification, I'd say it on par with the speed of a drive through. My friend who does not like sushi ordered an Asian stir fry dish from the back of the menu. It looked and smelled disgusting. She sent it back to have it be replaced with the most mediocre pad thai. Although, I am not sure expected anything else from Japanese restaurant. My boyfriend said the Philly roll was unfullfilling. DO NOT waste your money here. Service was slow for it being 3pm and only 4 other tables being occupied. Conclusion: Over priced low quality Japanese food. Will never go here again and advise others to do the same.

I've been to sushi bars in Hawaii, LA, and San Diego, and this is definitely one of the best. However, I judge sushi bars based on specialty rolls. My sister also thinks so, and she thinks it's better than most sushi bars on the islands. She lives overseas and is always jealous when we come here. Of course, i'm only talking about sushi because I don't go there for any of the entrees. However, my boyfriend says the chicken curry is always awesome. The crazy horse sushi is definitely a must. The maki sushi is ok, but the rice is kind of dry in those. The fried tofu is really good. It's only a bit over the average price for sushi, but it is well worth it. It's definitely all of the Naval Academy students' favorite place to eat and get delivered to school (which is a plus!).

  • Barn M.

Okay. I guess I should've known what to expect from a "Japanese" restaurant in Annapolis. But hey, I was sushi deprived for at least five days, and I needed my dose of raw fish. Uh, this place is awful. It wasn't the worst, but eating here is like having Chinese food in Kansas. Ah, I should've stuck with Annapolis food.

  • T Y.

It's not the greatest asian food I've ever had, but it's good for DTA. The sushi in the mid-atlantic area never seems to rival that on the west coast. Nano's no exception, but it's good enough. The rest of the menu is pretty good, too. The food at Joss (up Main St.) really isn't any better. It just looks more like a Japanese restaurant (they tend to greet you a bit louder than Nano, too). They make it more authentically Japanese at Joss by crowding you in so you can share the wasabi with strangers if you run out. Not as crowded at Nano. You'll enjoy it enough at Nano to come back. It's between a A-OK! and Yay!

Nano's, what happened to you. This used to be a weekly affair before the quality of food started going down hill. Yeah, the inside looks like a cheap art gallery and they have C + C Music Factory on - but that was kind of cool I thought. The bad rating is because of the food - it just isn't the same the last time I went, and with Tsunami nearby, its not much of a loss.

Very yummy sushi. Love the big roll with the mango (I forget what it's called) and the veggie tempura appetizer. The atmosphere is really neat and I love the set up of the booths. The staff is friendly, and once forgot an alteration I requested for my order and was super nice and apologetic and remade it very quickly.

Nano is a great place with a neighborhood feel. The owner is very friendly, and the food is yum yum yummy! They have the longest sushi bar in Annapolis. We loved the Valentine and Volcano rolls, and the Jade Fried Rice is unique and delicious. Nano has good mixed drinks and a cool little private Tatami room in the back. Park in the garage a block away and enjoy!

Went to lunch at Nano on a Friday b/c Joss' hadnt opened yet. i was disappointed. Avocado salad was good, but was swimming is dressing. Mango salad was not very good; mangos not sweet and dressing stunk like feet (fish sauce?) Waitress was pleasant but inexperienced/untrained - reaching over me while i was eating, taking dishes away before i was finished. The sushi was ok. We only had 3 types -quite small tho (lunch size?), six pieces but rolled tiny, prices not lower tho. Overall, not worth it....walk 1 block to Joss'. You wont regret it!

Was here on a Sunday afternoon. It was fairly crowded but we were seated right away. The service was quick and the rolls were excellent. We got your standard California, Spicy Tuna, Crunchy Spider, etc. It hit the spot and was very conveniently located on Main Street.

If you love sushi and you live in Annapolis then you're screwed. But when I eat sushi I go to Nano. Joss is good as is tsunami but to be honest none of the sushi in Annapolis lives up to my past experiences in Boston or NYC.

After hearing great recommendations about Nano from friends, I decided to try it out. Now I've had fantastic sushi to sushi that gave me food poisoning and while it's not food-poisoning-bad, it is definitely at the lower spectrum. The fire cracker roll appetizer was the best part of the meal, good sauce, but the salmon was way too fishy to be fresh. Same with the tuna nigiri and salmon rolls. Tough texture, fish is not fresh. The chesapeake roll was okay, but on top was this brown chunky mass not mentioned on the description of the roll. After much deliberation I came to the conclusion that it's garlic, again, not fresh, but minced garlic from a jar that has been sitting out on a warm evening. Also noticed that a majority of the rolls on the menu had either had imitation crab or other fillers. I expect this quality at buffet-style sushi but absolutely not for the prices Nano charge.

Ok, first of all I've noticed a lot of reviews here that slam this place. Personally I don't expect authentic Japanese cuisine in the middle of DTA so i went in to Nano with out many expectations. I really liked the decor of the place (even if I recognised a painting from IKEA), kinda funky but not off-putting. My wife and I went on a Tuesday night and got a seat immediatly. A waiter came to us for drinks and let us look at the menus. I had the sashimi sampler with the chicken katsu and my wife had miso soup and the basil chicken. The sashimi was great. tuna, salmon and maybe halibut, not for sure, none of it tasted "fishy" at all. The chicken katsu was really good, first time I've found it in an Annapolis restaurant. The veggies were a bit over seasoned but cooked very well. My wife loved her meal; however she was not thrilled with the miso. The portions were a nice big size, plently left over for lunch the next day. I saw some reviews mention the wait staff and my wife and I had no problems, everyone was helpful and nice.

I ordered the kama kazi roll and it did not taste fresh. Also, my wasabi appeared to be old, not soft with some brownish color to it.

Delicious!

Love it!!

Stopped in for sushi at Nano this weekend and was pretty disappointed. The sushi was not great. The small, simple rolls were OK but the specials were very overpriced and not very good. There are a couple other sushi options in downtown Annapolis. I'd suggest checking those out first...

Oh well.

Dining room messy, dusty and cluttered with boxes, stacks of menus, etc. Very small wait area. Food is good but expensive.

Absolutely love this place!! The sushi is amazing! This place made me a sushi lover. The owner and the staff are always friendly and strive to please the customer. I've had delivery also and have never been disappointed. Love, love, love it!

Visited a few times in last two years. Always have had great experience, service and sushi rolls. Very good seaweed salad as well!

Once and done for me. Other options around town provide better food, ambience and service.
