Small place, only a waiting bench, no public restrooms, but they sell beer--can't drink on premises. The wait time was a little long, but you can call ahead and just pick up. The guy was nice, just chatted a little while the food was being made/heated (about 30 minutes; not bad considering the amount of food I got) Pretty good! **Lump crab sandwich (you can get fried or broiled)-giant pieces of crab. Pretty good but doesn't really stay together (not complaining too much because there's just that much less filler to hold it together) **Broiled crab balls (you can get fried or broiled)-small but legit and tasty **Hush puppies-eh they were moist and soft but not exceptional. A little on the oily side and couldn't taste too much corn **Crabby deviled eggs-pretty good. Didn't taste THAT much crab in them, but very flavorful and worth it. **Fresh steamed ears of corn-delicious sweet corn with a little butter and Old Bay **MD crab soup-perfect. The ones I've had are almost always too salty and too spicy. This was packed with veggies and potatoes and crab and had just the right amount of flavor and tomato-ness will be back to get some crabs in the future!

I would give 0 stars if I could. I hate to be mean but seriously.... I bought a dozen female large for 45 bucks. They tasted like they cooked dead crabs. They tasted fishy, they were light, and they did not reflect any quality of Maryland blue crab. This place should be shut down. I pray I don't get sick. This is my birthday weekend and I immediately had my husband buy me a dozen large males from seafood stop in Fallston so I could have good quality crabs to wash the bad dead crab taste from my mouth. I shouldn't have been cheap looking for mustardy heavy females. The crabs at kent island were like skinny light fishy smelling skeleton crabs and they need to be shut down and they should be ashamed of themselves.

Picked up 2 dozen large crabs. They weren't very tasty and seemed to be dried out. Won't go back.

I simply can NOT say enough good things about this place! The ONLY possible thing I could change would be to make more waiting room (There's only a small bench.). Kent Island Seafood is locally owned and he sells local seafood. The owner chatted with us while his cook was making our dinners. I had the shrimp and fries basket. My husband had the fish and chips. Both were amazingly good. Fried the exact perfect amount of time. Nothing was burned or over cooked. Everything was the right temperature, too. When we got home (less than 10 minutes) everything was perfect. You could tell the fries were fried in the same oil as the seafood. They weren't seasoned with old bay themselves but you could taste it from the oil from other stuff. It was really good. This is the kind of place worth supporting in every way and for every reason.
