Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

This is the best pizza in at least a 30 mile radius. I live in Pennsylvania yet will make the trip to Franks to pickup pizzas for my family. Why? The pizza is fantastic! Very thin crust, sauce is perfect- not too sweet or tart, and ample cheese which is cooked to perfection. I consistently get superb quality pizza from Franks. I've also had subs and they are very good as well. The dining room is nothing fancy but the food is outstanding. As other reviewers have mentioned, prices are very low in my opinion which is a great value for families. I usually get two large pizzas with a two liter of soda for $20. Not sure where else you can nowadays and get dinner for a family of 4 for $20! Staff is always friendly and I've never experienced with an issue with an order I've placed over the phone or in person. If you dine in at lunchtime and buy a slice, it's huge. Two slices few more like half of a pie. Which is fine with me since it's delicious and I don't want to stop eating it!

Quick hometown pizza place that had awesome lunch specials can get you in and out within an Hour lunch time wtih time to spare for about $5.00 with a drink. I got the Pizza Pie Bacon Cheeseburger It was huge! and it was good quality fresh out the oven this place is worth a shot if your at APG and need a quick inexpensive lunch.

Staying in the Aberdeen area for a short time so I decided to explore what pizza joints that are in the area. Came across this spot and decided to try. Phoned in my order (Special 14" pizza and Frank's special sub). The lady who took my order asked all typical order questions and gave me an exact ready time and when I got there my food was still hot. Pricing: I'd say the pizza was a little expensive and given that the pizza was nothing special (I'm from Boston and I've had better pizza that cost less). The food: Pizza was mediocre, the veggies and mushroom didn't taste fresh, seemed like it was all out of a can or jar. The meats (pepperoni, etc tasted good). The sub supposedly had special sauce, but didn't differentiate the sub (tasted like a dryer version of a sloppy joe-yeah not that special) much from subs I've had elsewhere. To conclude, I demolished the pizza and sub, but only because I was really hungry. I'd say try it if you don't fancy pizza chains or if you're okay with paying extra for mediocre pizza.

I only tried the pizza- very dry, thin (even by thin pizza standards. Biggest problem that made it an absolutely miserable experience was the heat - it was nearly 90 degrees out, add another 10 for the ovens inside, and you are actually sweating in your booth. The crudely home made "screen door" did little to dissipate the oppressive heat. No way I am going back.

The pizza was delicious, the portions were huge, but the place was kind of a dive. I am a big fan of mom-and-pop places, and you definitely tell the food had a homemade taste. Not chain-ey at all. These guys lose some points for having a locked bathroom with the keys attached to a gigantic PVC pipe. I felt like somebody thought I was going into the restroom to shoot up or something. Not cool. But I guess they must have a problem with that type of stuff in Aberdeen.

Newly remodeled inside, but still serving the same great food they always have. Go for lunch and get a slice of the cheesesteak stuffed pizza. This is the best pizza near Aberdeen Proving Ground and it is also extremely low priced. I go there weekly and have yet to be disappointed.

This place is great. Guys from work go here all the time. Nothing great about the food, but the price is right, and very speedy!

when i was in the army, we were temporarily stationed at aberdeen, md. while working on base one day, my sergeant asked my squad if we were ok with going to his friend's restaurant, franks, for lunch. then he asked about how hungry we were. i said i was starving. he then asked me if i thought i could beat the franks challenge. i said i was so hungry, i probably could eat a horse. so he looked at me, an average size chinese guy, and told me, i've taken guys twice your size here who were hungry and they couldn't make it. i told him, i'm gonna try. so, the franks challenge is eating a philly steak sandwich chock full with so much meat, you couldn't see the bun. the sandwich, open faced is the size of a large pizza. you had to finish it in ten minutes or less. passing the test, you won't have to pay $20 something bux for it, get a picture on the wall and a coupon book for deeply discounted food for future visits. so frank is there specially preparing this philly steak sandwich for me and was laughing and taunting me that i wouldn't even be able to eat half of it. i sit at a table and frank brings out the sandwich and a stop watch and asked "any last requests?" i said, "a huge pitcher of water and a knife and fork." so they gave me what i needed and away i went. i ate up enough meat to see the bun. frank cut the bun 1/3, 2/3, kind of a way of saying, "pick your poison." i decided to tackle the 2/3 first. after finishing that, i was starting to feel full and had about 4 minutes left. after a couple gulps of water and some breathing, i started on the 1/3. with about 2 minutes to go, franks taunts started turning into cheers, and with about 10 seconds left, i finished the challenge. so i got a picture, coupon book, a free meal and immortality hah hah. franks has some great food, it's kind of a small place, but it's a local favorite. so after that day, my sergeant said he will tell future soldiers about what i had accomplished that day.

We've done delivery pizza few times from Frank's and every time it's been fantastic. Simply great pizza. I've never stopped in, and I never tried anything other than pizza, but honestly... I don't care about all that other stuff. One time, we calle and there was an hour wait for delivery, but the lady on the phone was considerate enough to let us know, and I said we were willing to wait.

I've been to Frank's a million times, and I neglected to review. Normally, I save reviews for out-of-town restaurants on business trips. I'm writing this up, because four of us had an exceptionally good buffalo chicken pizza and I'd like to see it stick around as a regular item. We all agreed that it was flavored just right. Too many 'buffalo' dishes are just Tabasco, but this was a perfect amount of spice, with plenty of room for the cheese and dough to show through.

I think i know why people don't like this place...THEY DIDN'T GET THE PIZZA. Get a slice. I know Frank's wants to be more, but no-stick to pizza, it's great. Franks had the best pizza in Aberdeen, by far. They make it the right way; thin, but nor cracker thin; not too much sauce; just a little greasy. Guess what, real pizza cheese is a little greasy, not oily, like someone dumped cheap evoo all over it (I'm looking at you Olive Tree). The kids like this place. They use a real pizza oven, not one of those chain link conveyor deals. Maybe the subs are good, the look good, but why get a sub from such a good pizza joint? Get a slice or a pie to go. Seriously, don't eat in, the place is a dump, but the pizza is really good.

The pizza is very good. Reminds my wife and I of a local pizza joint she used to work at in college when we first met. Brought back good memories.

Nicely done mushroom pizza. Nice crust, good sauce, good cheese mix. Enjoyable all around.

I had take-out. I ordered the Spaghetti and Chicken Parmesan dinner. It came with a salad and garlic bread. There were two small pieces of chicken that were very flavorful. There was an extremely small serving of what I would call Spaghetti-Mush. The small serving was good because it tasted like Franco-American spaghetti from a can .. Yuck! The salad was basically shredded lettuce (the kind you put on sandwiches) with one-half of a very thin slice of tomato. The garlic bread was good. I won't be back!

We ordered two pizzas for delivery that came in timely, but one of the boxes I noticed was really oily. I mentioned to the delivery guy and he placed the box on top of the other, took the money and tip, and left. Opening the oily box, our pizza didn't fit as we had gotten the XL sizes and was rolled up the sides and one slice was flipped over from the center outward. I called the store and mentioned this and they offered to replace the pizza, but only if we return the other damaged pepperoni and cheese to the driver. This was at dinner time and I had a family to feed!! This whole situation was poorly handled and we are highly disappointed as this place comes highly recommended by friends. Buyer beware.

Love the pizza!!! Can't beat the large, NY style slices for that low price. Very spacious inside. Quick service. This is definitely a mom and pop style place. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because the pizza is definitely the best in the area but not excellent. Also, the service is good but not the friendliest bunch. But they get the job done and are considerate. One guy gave me extra marinara! :)
(4)Austin K.
Pizza here is awesome, and the prices are great as well. My whole family loves this place
(5)Tyler W.
I ordered delivery. The pizza was greasy and only average. There was nothing special about it. The delivery guy called me multiple times because he couldn't figure out my building which is on a main drag that he has delivered to before. I also think the guy was high as a kite.
(2)Phil S.
The pizza here was terrible. It was possibly the worst pizza I have ever had and that includes the kind from the grocery store freezer. I did not get delivery so I cannot comment on that. I will never purchase pizza from here again.
(1)Amy P.
I love hometown pizza parlors over the big chains, and the Frank's is the reason why. This is great pizza. I LOOOOOOVE the White veggie pizza, which is near impossible to get anywhere else. And the dough? The right combination of soft and flaky. Alright, this doesn't have a posh interior, but the people are nice, the pizza is superb and it's a local business. What more could you want?
(5)Becca H.
The subs were amazing, service was fast in spite of the lunch rush, and the young lady who took our order was very friendly. And the prices are great. Today was my first time going, and I definitely see myself becoming a "regular"

The pizza might be good here, but I can definitely say that my experience with the quality was terrible. I needed a quick lunch that was delivered to the base (Aberdeen Proving Ground), so i decided to order from Frank's in hopes that it would be quick and delicious. I ordered the Chicken Cheesesteak with Broccoli - what I ended up with was extremely dry chicken that was almost unrecognizable as chicken with raw broccoli on stale bread WITH added bits of beef. Let me start off by saying that I refrain from eating red meat as much as possible so while i was put off by the blatant disregard for my order request and lack of consideration for what could have been an allergy or diet preferences, I was still able to pick out the pieces and eat it (since i am not allergic or so put off by beef that I won't go near it). it was still disgusting though;.. Chicken was so overcooked and dry that it was crunchy and reminiscent of Bacos (yeah that near bacon thing that they say is good on salads - it is not.. don't try it). The cheese was almost non-existent. The broccoli was raw - who orders raw ANYTHING in a cheesesteak? anyway, I am pretty miffed, but I stand by my rule of always giving a place a second chance. but for now.. I would never recommend this place.

I love this place. Just make sure that, if you're ordering a whole pie, you get an XL. The first time we got delivery from them, we got a large (not realizing that XL was even an option) and the pizza was small, thick, and doughy. Nothing like the thin-crusted masterpieces they serve by the slice. The wings aren't bad either. They aren't saucy, instead the sauce is fried into the wings, leaving them crispy and tasty. Good cheesesteaks too. I'm not a fan of their subs, though.

I find it hard to believe that this restaurant has so many stars. The only thing that's good to eat here is the pizza and the cheese steaks and probably the French fries anything else is a big risk.
(2)Steve H.
Just the best pizza around.. even better then the pizza is the steak and cheese sandwhich. The roll is light, and hot, a lot of steak and they protect the roll from getting soggy with lettuce tomato and always the perfect amount of Mayo. I could have that Steak and Cheese everyday for the rest of my life and die a happy man.
(5)Gardner M.
One of the best pizza places around. Excellent pizza and subs. It is very expensive which is why 5 stars is not given. A little bit of a sketchy experience eating inside since employees or maybe not employees see it as a place to hangout with friends near the back of the restaurant.
(4)Christina W.
This place is a classic. Been here since before I was a kid. Food is so so. I wanted a trip down memory lane.
(3)Andy M.
On our annual Thanksgiving road trip to the Northeast we spent an overnight in Aberdeen and had the good fortune to find Frank's. Pizza was excellent, people were friendly and fun to visit with. When traveling, why eat at chains you can find anywhere? Get the best while supporting a local business with hard working people. Eat at Frank's.
(5)Jeanette K.
Food was okay. Staff were okay.
(2)Jenn G.
My husband and both our sets of parents love to come here frequently for not only the food (which is great - you can go casual and easy with pizza, fries and subs or go fancy with a delicious pasta dish) - but for the amazingly friendly service. They always remember us, ask how we are doing, and go out of their way to make sure we are satisfied. A huge plus: BYOB and they have wine glasses waiting for your use (and no silly corkage fee). Love love love this place!
(5)Pri P.
they have really good pizza's here.
(4)Michael J.
Some of the best cheese pizza I have ever had. The cheese steaks are overflowing with meat and cheese. I have had the chicken cheese steak several times and it was great so the guy who said his cheese steak was dry and such must have an agenda because I have never had an issue with anything with one exception. They overcook the fries ALOT, you have to specify font burn my damn fries! I eat there at least 2 times a week it is a great little pizza joint, heavily populated with the Aberdeen PD! :P
(5)Katharine T.
Decent pizza here, relatively quick service. Crust is on the thinner side, and ours was kind of greasy... but it was Pepperoni, so thats kind of to be expected.
(3)Rebecca W.
Excellent!
(5)Heather T.
Good pizza! Will definitely order again!
(4)Brian C.
I've never been here, and probably never will. Simply because it's in an area I rarely traverse. Why give it a five star rating, you ask? Anyone who can pull off a 4.5 star rating, and their only two photos are of a pineapple pizza slice with a cockroach baked in the cheese... you sir (Frank) are a genius! That, or your pizza is that F'n good! Come to think of it, now I do want to try your pizza!
(5)Tanya C.
The pizza here is quite good.
