Burgers
Burger or Hamburger is savored as the most desired fast food meal in the United States. A hamburger is basically a sandwich prepared by stuffing ground meat patty, generally beef, between two slices of a bun cut in half. Hamburger is also famous for its seasoning. Most popular condiments used in hamburgers in the United States are mustard, mayonnaise, and ketchup. Besides ground meat patty, hamburgers are also stuffed with lettuce, onions, tomato slices, pickles, and cheese.
Hamburgers are also categorized into two types in the United States. Fast food hamburger and individual hamburgers served at restaurants are two basic types of burgers served in the United States. The individual hamburgers served at restaurants are prepared using everything including lettuce, onion, tomato, and sliced pickles as well as melted cheese on the patty or crumbled on top. American restaurants also serve veggie burgers for those who don't relish meat. Cheeseburgers are also hot favorite in the United States.
McDonalds is the most popular fast food burger restaurant serving different types of burgers in the United States. On the other hand, there are several restaurants such as Burger King are famous for serving the best hamburgers in the United States. Most burger restaurants in the United States often serve hamburgers with French fries and other condiments. If you have a liking for burgers in the United States, then you won't be disappointed. You can easily find the best burger restaurants in your city on our Restaurants Listings directory. Stopped in for lunch, was told the burgers were very good. When you walk in you order at the counter and take a seat. They bring out your order when it's ready. Good selection of burgers and you can get any burger as a turkey burger which is nice. Good selection of beers, bottle and on tap. A selection of barefoot wines in mini bottles. Burgers were excellent!! Tasty, hot and fresh buns. Get onion rings and they were very very good, light and clean battered. It was $30 for the two of us with two adult beverages a little pricey but good burgers. If your looking for a good burger for lunch or dinner I would recommend.

Great Burgers, but Expensive Grass Fed steak burgers done right. All of the food that we ordered here was great. Typical bacon cheeseburger with bison meat, hand cut fries, and Texas chili. You can tell the place is making everything from scratch with super high quality ingredients. The issue is the place needs to be configured a bit differently to make it more comfortable. Projection screen to watch a game is not visible and a bar area with no stools. The other issue is the price, 2 burgers with bacon, cup of chili, one fry, and 2 bottles of beer, 42 bucks!!! With a small tip because you order your food at the main counter your talking almost 50 bucks, for burgers. It's a little crazy especially for lunch The product is top quality so it lightens the price issue, but I feel like I could goto 4-5 star restaurant and pay 50 bucks lunch. I mean Flemings Steakhouse serves a 15 dollar burger with fries for lunch and that's prime beef, so it makes you think. Enjoy, just make sure you put some moolah in your wallet before you go. Thanks

There are two kinds or burgers in my mind, there are restaurant burgers and fast food burgers. This is a restaurant burger and it is the best one in Worcester. It's a touch expensive but well worth it. Their fries and shakes were also phenomenal. Nothing negative to sa.

Best burger I ever ate! Picture the BBQ burgers your dad used to do on the grill on weekends in the backyard. These are better than those. Freshness of everything on the burger, including the Angus beef, condiments, lettuce & tomato, as well as the soft bun, contributes to the overall amazing flavor. Casual family friendly atmosphere.

I just don't get this place. Yes, they have a pretty awesome pickle barrel, but their burgers are terrible. I've come here a few times with friends and never been happy with my burger. The toppings are decent, but the burger itself tastes steamed and absolutely flavorless. If you're a burger place, make a good burger. Don't make a terrible burger and put some cool stuff onto it, and call it a day.

Onion rings were delicious!!! Burgers are pretty decent. Would def return when in Worcester!

When it comes to burger joints, this place is legit as they come. You order at the counter when you walk in and then seat yourself. The cashier was friendly and efficient (a feat given the extensive menu choices and permutations), and our food and drinks were brought out quickly on bright red tray. You can tell they run a tight ship! The reason I LOVE this place is how gluten-free friendly it is. Upon entering there is a large sign outlining their impressive list of GF options: buns, fries, onion rings, chicken tenders, and beer. They make a point of mentioning that they use a dedicated GF fryer with clean oil, which makes me confident as someone with a legitimate health concern. I haven't had onion rings in YEARS and this spot did not disappoint. They also have lots of other comfort foods besides burgers and fries.

Walked in and used the men's room, the floor was very dirty, lots of crud build-up. (I worked in the restaurant industry-the buildup was gross!) 2. Fries were good but my burger was meh at best. I expected a great piece of meat but was disappointed with the frozen hamburger. Also, the bun could have been a better quality bread. For $26 I expected more. 3. The decor could be spiffed up a little and cleaned better.
(2)John S.
Perfectly fine place for burgers and chicken tenders. You order at the counter, sit at the table and wait for your food. And when it's ready, it comes out piping hot and decently assembled. Overall, good work out of this place. Bonus star for relatively healthy/ethical options like the buffalo.

Fresh burgers (chose from Angus, Natural Feed, or Bison) with an array of specialty toppings on fresh baked buns. Not into burgers....they also serve wings or fresh haddock and chips. More than just fries: original, seasoned, sweet potato, onion ring or nuggets, nothing frozen here! Portions plentiful. Ample seating after placing order at counter. Bright & clean. Limited full bar. BBQ sauce very mild. Wings were overdone. Burger was slightly over done (ordered medium came med-well), but still worth a return trip.

Mind you, I had a simple order, but my taste buds hadn't been this happy in a long time. It was my very first visit. I ordered takeout of a Bubba Bbq burger with Certified Angus beef, (you have the option of ordering that, or all-natural beef or a bison burger) on a gluten-free bun with all the toppings. It was amazing! They served it promptly, and everyone was so respectful and courteous. The burger was medium-well just as I asked, and so juicy and delicious. Everything tasted fresh, and even the bun was far better than any gluten-free bread I've had. I prefer to eat healthy normally, so this was the perfect splurge for me. Real food, man.
(5)Philip D.
A little disappointed. Burger bun was toasted way ahead of time and was cold and felt like biting into stale bread . Burger only semi warm by the time served to me. Fries were limp and soggy. But they pleasantly gave me new fries upon request. Felt like Williys needs some attention to detail....numerous burger joints open in Worcester
(2)Saul G.
Pleasantly surprised with this somewhat random choice for lunch prior to a visit to the nearby Babcock offices. My colleague and I went with the bison burgers - I would say mine - New Mexico style, was more medium well than the default medium, but maybe that's a good thing. A large basket of onion rings and sweet potato fries served us both, Greaseless and tasty, they were on the money although the thinness of the rings and the evenness of the coating suggest that they were not sliced in house. Service was reasonably quick - the restaurant was not very full at Monday lunch. I did think the tab was a bit pricey for what is essentially enhanced fast food - about the same quality as a Smashburger. 'Spose it was the bison which adds about $2 to the sandwich price.

Why are the people working there so rude? I have worked in restaurants for 20 years and you don't get out exactly at closing time every day. I will call and order takeout around 730, the time my hubby gets home from work and every time I get the answer " you better get here before 8" (what restaurant closes at 8pm???) I have never been late to pick up food, but yet I get attitude like I'm bothering them by ordering food. Why don't you close even earlier and loose more business to make the staff happy, because that's all it seems they are worried about is going home, not customer service. Will not be back.
(2)John C.
Enjoy this local establishment that offers a nice selection of menu options. I prefer the buffalo wings and onion rings combo with a cold brew. Their burgers, salads, fries, and milk shakes are consistently good. Staff is attentive and keep the place clean.
(4)Krista V.
When I want a gluten-free burger - this is where I go! Dedicated fryers, lots of gluten-free options. As anyone with Celiac knows, it's tough, if not impossible to eat fried foods anywhere aside from your own kitchen. Wild Willy's not only can serve you fries that haven't been contaminated - but the onion rings are made with a gluten-free batter. Wings are amazing too. Staff is always friendly and I love the 25 cent pickle barrel. Highly recommended!
(5)Evan W.
Fast service, great choices and atmosphere but extra fixings for burgers were overpriced and the burger was scantily topped at best.
(3)Marina N.
Conestoga burger was pretty good! Don't ever get an iced coffee though, it was like they handed me water with a splash of coffee.
(4)Vas S.
Last Sunday I ordered a strawberry shake and just at that moment the kitchen delivers one for someone who hasn't yet arrived to pick it up. The young woman behind the counter without hesitation snatches it and gives it to me and asks the kitchen to make another. She should be promoted to manager. By the way, the strawberry shake was great.

Never would have thought to go here but took the kids to the Amory Museum and it was across the street so why not? Some of the best fries I've ever had (olive oil and sea salt variety), bison burger sans bun with cheese and green chilis was super! Add in the 25 cent pickles from the barrel and I'm seriously looking forward to another visit. Be forewarned (if you have squirmy little kids with you) that you order at the counter when you arrive and then have at least a 20 minute wait if theyre bust at lunchtime. Everything is made to order (which is great, don't get me wrong). Oh and definitely get extra napkins. Slightly expensive for burgers and fries but oh so worth it.

loved the root beer, the open windows are nice as well

After visiting Higgins Armory down the street, this place seemed unique and interesting for a visit for lunch. I walked in, and was welcomed and greeted by the girl at the register who was behind the counter. I wasn't sure of the procedure, and she politely informed me. I looked up at their great big menu board, and settled upon the Buffalo Bill sandwich, as I do enjoy my horseradish sauce on things. The neat feature was that you could get the sandwich made from a few different examples of gods creatures. Angus($7), Beef($8), or Bison ($10). I opted for Bison, as it's supposed to be healthy and stuff. Not too grossly expensive either. I got a giant oversized playing card as a table marker. That's way better than a plain ol' number table marker. I then wandered over to find a table to sit at. The place was fairly empty, so after a moment or two, I changed my mind and moved to a table over by the window. After sitting at the new seat by the window I watched a train go by. Good times. Shortly after the train went past, a guy came over with a tray of food for me. My drink and a burger-shaped foil package sat atop it. When it was set down, I thanked the guy, and reached for it. After unwrapping & photographing it, I noted that the burger was 'plain'. Just the items that were listed on the menu were in the burger. There was no lettuce, tomatoes, onions...stuff like that. Also, for $10 you'd think it would come with something. But maybe Bison is just expensive? Who knows. As for the veggies, I'm not sure if I could have asked for that when I ordered, but it was still pretty good as it was delivered to me. I've decided that I like do Bison in burger format. After I finished, I cleaned up, and headed out. They've got a wifi bubble, so I was able to send a picture of myself in a tux to my friends via Facebook. It's a thoroughly decent place. But I may or may not go back when I'm in the area again.

Wow, I've been driving by this place for over 2 years when leaving Quinsig. I finally dropped in and all I can say is wow! The Cajun Fries are awesome! I got an Angus burger w/ the house chipotle mayo & cheddar and it was great! The smallest burger they have is 5.5 ounces and that's the Bison Burger- yeah they have Bison! As well as all natural grass fed beef! And angus! I am happy to go to a burger joint that's basic entry level burger is 6 oz angus beef! Could use a slightly better beer selection- but the beer they do have is good!

Have eaten here multiple times and always been happy with the consistency. One of the few places you can get a Lime Rickey. Many fry and burger options. The loaded fries and herbs fries are outstanding. Only negative is it is overpriced. A small burger, small fries and soda is over $15.
(4)Anthony M.
My families favorite burger joint. Tasty burgers with toasted buns loaded with fresh toppings. Try the pickles they are an added treat. Only complaint, on the kid's menu they don't offer burgers.
(4)John D.
Burgers are excellent, only negative was the canned jalepenos. The fries and onion rings were as good as anybodies anywhere.
(4)Suzanne M.
This was my first trip to Wild Willy's. The father-in-law wanted a beer & a burger, and we couldn't have chosen a better location. The atmosphere was neat - casual, clean & fun. There was a large screen TV, but not the blaring volume you'd get at a sports bar. Patrons were of all ages, this is a place for everyone. The meal was served in a timely manner & the staff was friendly. Here are some things you may want to know: 1) You place your order & pay at a counter when you walk in. With lots of options, I felt a little pressure to hurry up & make a decision...the cashier is waiting. 2) I read from other Yelpers that this was a good place for gluten free options. Had I not read this prior to the visit, I would not have known. I did not see the GF menu onsite. 3) I was handed a kids menu for my 6 year old. Options: chicken tenders, hot dog, grilled cheese. Wait... WHAT? My son wants a BURGER! Major flaw, the reason for only 4 stars - a burger joint without a burger on the kids menu. Duh - Overall we enjoyed our visit. I had (surprise) a burger, onion rings & root beer. Probably logged enough calories to last me a week, but it was worth it. You don't come here for vegetables, unless onion rings & fries count!
(4)Arthur D.
Horrible service. I come here with my kids by reading all "positive" reviews. I'm shocked when stuff show to us table where windows wiev to city totally covered with some similar looking to puke spills. I asked to manager they supposed to clean windows because it's looking horrible. His answer "so what, you want to teach me how to run business?" I left on table $20 bill for window cleaning and left this crowd place with leaving him with wide open mouth.

I wish I lived in Worcester because of this place. Or maybe it's good that I don't because I would gain 50 pounds. First of all, I love the menu. I haven't had everything on it, but I love the options (not only do you get a choice of angus, natural beef, or bison -- you also get to pick how your burger is cooked and what fixings you want on it.) I had a burger with smoked hickory mayo, grilled onions, and American cheese. It was cooked to perfection. Definitely one of my favorite burgers ever. Hickory mayo: who thinks of that?! The fries are also top quality. I don't know how they did it, but they were some of the freshest fries I've ever had. Also, kudos for allowing your customers the option of chili fries sans cheese. The chili was fantastic in its own right, as was the Raspberry Lime Rickey I ordered to wash it all down with. Service was pleasant and prompt. Would definitely recommend eating-in to preserve the freshness of the food. Can't wait to make my way back to Central Mass so I can swing by this place again.
(5)Kristen W.
Being new to town and craving a quality burger, I decided to look up my options on yelp. I found this place and it seemed both high quality and not super fancy, which was what I was looking for. I ordered the Annie Oakley, because I love blue cheese, fries and a diet coke. The burger was cooked exactly how I wanted, had a solid amount of delicious toppings, and was of substantial size. The fries were pretty standard. I enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back here again.
(4)Dana R.
Best burgers in Worcester. Awesome place for a burger and fries. Great portion size, great pickles, their own root beer which can be bought in large glass bottles you can keep and have refilled, this place is a great neighborhood joint, and I imagine the handful of other locations have locals who'd claim them as their neighborhood joint as well. They're casual and they don't play up the wild west theme as to be goofy, but it definitely informs the decor. Staff is friendly, and since they're not full service, no wait staff during the meal . . . which would just be annoying when you're sitting down over a couple of burgers. Good variety of toppings and several options besides burgers, and they've added some gluten-free options as well, which doesn't do anything for me, but makes it easier to recommend to others. I'd have happily given them five stars, but the one negative comment I have about the place is an important one. They cook to order, which I very much appreciate, and their meat seems really fresh, so it's the rare time eating out I get to order a burger medium-rare. I order it medium-rare, but I don't always get it medium-rare, half the time it's medium-well, and on a few occasions it's been so rare I passed on a few bites towards the middle.
(4)Mike S.
Good Burgers, cold beer and the place was very clean. Pricing is moderate for the type of restaurant it is. I go there frequently.
(4)Marco T.
Now, terrible terrible terrible management compared to Bob and Jan. Current Management creates a toxic environment for customers and their employees. You can see how rude they treat their staff and in-return the staff can react rudely to customers from being upset. Owners and management don't even care about customers; only their money. My old review from years ago used to be: Great, handmade food at a decent price. If you're expecting 50¢ cheeseburgers from McDonald's then please don't bother. The burgers are priced as they should because of how good the taste and quality.
(1)Dan P.
I like this place. The burgers are fresh and juicy, a bit better than Five Guys, but also a bit more expensive. Be careful: Unlike the Guys, Willy nickel and dimes you for every topping not already included in the basic burger. You get your choice of Angus, organic farm raised and bison (in increasing order of cost). They also offer white, wheat, and gluten-free buns. Just today I tried the steak sandwich, which is not posted on the in-restaurant menu board, but is on the website. It was...OK, but a little on the small and overpriced side. It was about a 1" wide and 10" long of 3/8" thick meat -- tender enough, but underseasoned. The onion rings are well done, but they put too much salt on them. Consider asking for no salt, and season them yourself. They offer three rings for 75 cents. I ask for two orders and it hits the spot without breaking the bank. I like their self-service pickle barrel (25 cents each) with new half sours.
(4)Angel F.
Great little burger spot. Location is cool, like the wooden tables and the pickles for a quarter was a nice touch. Big variety of burgers available along with other fried goodness, like wings, chicken tenders, and sweet potato fries. Oh, and the best part about this place: its cheap.
(5)Michael W.
Love the idea of a non chain burger joint that serves bison, grass fed beef or Black Angus beef....they offer a wide variety of sauces and condiments for the burgers....I went with the plain cheese burger as did my son. We shared an order of the handcut fries and we waited around 10 minutes for the while we sat in the large and kinda divey dining room. The only point of criticism I have is that the burger is a bit too sloppy with all of the condiments....lighten up on the mayo by the way....the burgers were perfectly cooked, the rolls were good....not great and the fries were awesome.....
(4)Penny L.
Fun place and food all tasted good. But, i was disappointed the burger was not fresh meat, but appeared to be a patty.
(3)Molly W.
Gluten free paradise - but don't let that stop any gluten-lovers! This is a consistently great burger place for our whole family of five. We are 3/5 gluten free and we can all have our favorite items off this menu. All fried foods are GF - and the onion rings are delicious. It helps that we adults can enjoy a drink while the little ones drink root beer (also GF!). Burgers and chicken sandwiches are a favorite along with the very crispy and tasty chicken fingers. For the GF crowd - we have eaten there over 20 times and never had an issue with gluten exposure. They know their stuff there and are very proactive in asking questions as you order if you identify your concerns.
(5)Warren L.
Been here 3 times. If the prices were more reasonable, I would come back. GOOD: The food is great AVERAGE: Kitchen speed is average BAD: Expensive, and everything is separate. The burger doesn't come with anything, all the sides are extra.
(3)Becky F.
Met up with a friend for a quick dinner while passing through Worcester one night. We wanted something quick (but better than typical fast food), tasty, and relatively inexpensive. She recommended Wild Willy's for some classic burger fare and I can definitely see why. The menu is heavily (90%) burgers with some chicken sandwiches and other items tossed in for good measure. They offer angus beef, all-natural beef, or bison and then you get to choose your fixings. I went with a bison burger done Stampede style which had chili and cheddar on it. Definitely good! We split the sweet potato fries and a pickle which you can get from a barrel for 25 cents. After you order from the counter you get an oversized playing card sign for your table and your food is delivered to you. Service was pretty quick. Not gourmet, but something for everyone and a good and quick meal!
(3)Bethany B.
So after coming home from the Bahamas, Mr Bethany and I were dying for a good ol' burger and decided on Wild Willy's. Really wish we hadn't. The burger was ordered medium rare and came out beyond well done. Mr Bethany brought it back to be redone. Well, the acoustics in this place are awesome because we got to hear the cook in the pink shirt loudly protest that " burgers can only be cooked rare or medium, there is no in between!" I tried to tune out the rest of her tirade. Also, my steak sandwich, which was ordered rare, was raw on the thick end & cooked perfectly on the thin end. I ate what I could & just wanted to get out of there. On a positive note the onion rings were perfect -- crispy coating with crisp-tender onions that didn't slide out of the coating after the first bite. The root beer was also delicious served in an icy mug. However after spending $24 and change -- the sides shouldn't have been the highlight to our meal. So, we're done with Wild Willy's. Also noting that they have changed the meat they are using (per info from the "chef") -- and that never means bringing in a higher quality beef.
(1)Aly D.
Was heading to O'Connors for lunch but found out they were closed on Sundays. We stumbled upon Wild Willy's per a yelp recommendation. DEEEEEEELICIOUS! We had just come in out of a cold rainy day, and fast service, the BBQ burger and onion rings were spectacular. My friend got the Willy burger and fries and loved her meal too. Next time I would get the fries, they're exactly how I like them. Simple. Delicious. Exactly what we expected. Will definitely go back.
(4)Melissa O.
We hesitated to go here based on some mediocre reviews and were sorry we did! We loved this place. Excellent for our picky family of eaters - vegetarian, gluten free and kids! Loved their low key atmosphere. The fries were so YUMMY! Veggie burger was excellent. Our GF family member was impressed with the offerings and the full segregation from the rest of the order. Loved that it was super casual yet you could enjoy a beer with dinner. I highly recommend this place. Oh yeah - their prices can't be beat!
(4)Scotty B.
This was the first time we visited here and all in all we had a good time. If you are looking for fine dining, go somewhere else. If you want a great burger and no frills, come on down. We walked in and happily found no line so ordering was easy. Contrary to what I've read, there is a kids menu, though limited (mac & cheese, grilled cheese and one other choice that eludes me at this time). We waited about fifteen minutes while our order was made to order. I had a Wild Willys and Mrs B had an Annie Oakley. Both were made exactly as we had requested. Kudos to the Chef. Baby B had a Grilled Cheese that was round in shape and quite tasty as we ended up sharing our respective sandwiches. When finished, you are expected to bus your own table and clean up after yourself. My only complaints would be: 1. No child size burger, a regular burger is way to much for a three year old. 2. For the price, I expected the basket of fries to be a bit bigger and they probably could have been cooked a bit longer. All in all, we had a good time, really enjoyed our meal, and plan on returning.
(4)Ryan K.
Love the burgers here, and the fries are delicious, too. Staff is super-friendly. We like to go here often. As other reviewers have said, it's not the cheapest place to get a burger, but I don't think the prices are outrageous, and I do the burgers are very good - cooked to order, made to your specifications, and with interesting toppings at your request. My wife has a gluten allergy, so she loves their gluten-free menu. Staff is well versed in accommodating this, clearly labeling the food and aware of cross-contamination.
(4)Jennifer S.
There were some things I liked & some not so much. Loved the buttered & grilled buns. Meat was tender & nicely ground. I got mine well done & it was. It was a nice thick burger but not juicy so with the bun it was quite dry. Fries were very salty & the onion centers were ok- I was expecting some nice dipping sauces but they were just salad dressings. And $6 for basically some onion scraps! The horseradish sauce on my burger was a lumpy mess. What I really didn't like were the prices...burger, rings & bottled soda was $16! I wanted a raspberry lime ricky but not for $3. Anything extra on your burger cost more $ too. A large fry was $5! Burger was $7-8. I'm not disappointed that I tried it but I will stick with 5 guys from now on! Better fries, juicy burgers & as many toppings as you want!
(3)Nate J.
The food is really good (burgers and other bun food 100's of ways) but its expensive for what you get. All sides are extra and service is slow to glacial or unattentive. If it was a little less expensive (think $12+ per person) it would be a better value.
(3)Joe R.
I've tried a number of burgers here, and every one is great. They even have pickles for a quarter from a local supplier and a bar. The food is excellent, the service friendly, and though not as cheap as other burger places, the food quality for a casual dining burger joint is high. While I haven't tried it, I've been told that their gluten free burgers, fries, and onion rings (all with GF buns, batter, etc) are the best in the area. That's a major issue for those of us with gluten intolerant friends and family. They also offer Groupon and Foursquare promotions from time to time, so keep an eye out. Bring quarters for the pickle barrel.
(5)Mr B.
Deceptive exterior, Wild West thematic interior, and darn good options if burgers are what you seek. This is all American for sure and so don't get your gourmet hopes up unless you think that buffalo meat is a step above as that is the way to go here for some lean meat on your burger!
(4)Stephanie M.
Great concept, great food. My boys love going to Willy's in their cowboy boots and stomping around the place like Jesse James. I would have given four stars, but my jalepeno burger was more medium-well than medium-rare. My sweetheart had the BBQ burger and his was done just right. Hit the pickle barrel every time.
(3)Cameron H.
I've been to Wild Willy's three times, all for lunch, and each time there wasn't more then a half dozen other customers in the place. Reading the Wild Willy's menus is more like going through the offerings at a block party cookout then your average restaurant. Offering a pretty wide selection of burgers, chicken sandwiches, and other barbecued goods, there isn't a whole lot for anyone looking to loose a few pounds or in a vegetarian mood. You place your order, pay, take your "card" to display on your table, and wait for someone to bring over your drink and meal. Biggest disappointment with this restaurant is the service. They simply hand you a card and expect you to know what to do with it, no instruction if you should head over to the bar to collect your drinks, wait for your "card" to be called, or wait for someone to bring over everything to you. I ordered fries and the "Rustler," a chicken sandwich with bbq sauce. Took a good 20 minutes for any food to appear, despite it's simple ingredient list and lack of other customers. Once I was done eating, I was again confused. Garbage cans are hidden, and require you to "sort and separate" - placing your cups, garbage, plates, and trays into various piles. Food was 4 stars, but the lack of speed and confusion in operating procedures, easily brings it down one star for me. Not the cheapest either for what you get.

Hands down, best Burger in Worcester, MA. PROS: Burgers are made-to-order. Buy-One-Get-One burgers during certain nights over the Summer. They do Pulled Pork, slow roasted, available on certain days as well. Owners are friendly and distribute email updates for what's new. The hand cut fries are great, but made even better with a side of cheese dipping sauce. Burgers, Grilled Chicken, and Steak Sandwiches are freshly prepared to order, and topped with a variety of tasty options. CONS: Can be a little pricey for Burger and Fries. Better during BOGO nights. It can get crowded very quickly, and during the busy times, you can wait quite a while for your food. This can be remedied by avoiding the place during busy times. SUMMARY: Great Burgers, cool Wild West atmosphere, and fresh pickles. This is a must-eat place in Worcester, which is very close to Greendale Mall and the Higgins Armory Museum.

Top 3 reasons to check out Wild Willy's: 1. Pickle Barrel (with HALF SOURS for 25 cents each!) 2. Veggie Burgers! 3. Malt vinegar on hard to dose their delicious fries in. A little pricey, but YUM.

This was an incredible break from the typical in your face, over serving you'd receive in most non-fast food burger joints. There was no rush to order, we just hung back until we were ready. The decor was simple, saloon style, and cheerful, with huge windows letting in plenty of light. The Rio Grande burger was a simple blend of beef, cheddar and copious amounts of chopped green chiles, char grilled perfectly. The fresh cut fries were delicious topped with malt vinegar, and the half sour pickles helped take away the burn from the hot peppers. The draught root beer was absolutely perfect. The menu had many other options, from vegetarian, to poultry and even bison! What a treat this was, I can't wait to be in Worcester again!

Get the root beer! The bison was beyond delicious and the service was spot on.

My fiancé and I drove out of the way to come here, during our vacation to cape cod. I am gluten free, and they have a lot to choose from! I had an angus burger *the showdown* and gluten free onion rings. My meal was amazing. Hands down best gluten free bun I have EVER had! It was 'branded' with a gf logo. And the onion rings were so so good. I dipped them in chipotle sauce. They also offer gf chicken fingers, chicken sandwich, and fries. My fiancé is not gluten free and his burger was really good as well. Cooked perfectly to order. they also offer a natural beef and a bison option (we didnt reealize until after we ordered) We both enjoyed the root beer in the icy mug. I had to unbutton my pants after I was done here! Wish they had a location in NY! Yum!!!

Wild Willy's is one of those chains that still isn't big enough to suck, so get there while you still can enjoy a good meal. Pretty soon McDonalds or some other corporation is gonna buy up this chain and it'll be nothing more than a glorified applebees burger. Burge's ain't cheap but well worth the price. A double burger alone is gonna cost you about 10 bucks. So if you're looking to save money on lunch stay away. This is the place you go to splurge and enjoy a real burger, by that i mean you can actually get it medium. Yeah 5 guys is juicy, but it's mostly grease, this juice is from a well cooked burger. Selection for burgers is good, I usually go with the stampede witch is loaded with chilli that doesn't seem like it came from a can. If it did, i don't mind cause it's good enough to fool me. They claim they make it on their website, so I'll take them at their word for now. You also got chicken, but who the fuck goes to a burger place to eat chicken? If you really want something different, get one of the speciality bison burgers or just upgrade any of the regular burgers for 2 bucks. I think they got salads, but i pretty much covered my view of that in the chicken section. For sides you got fries and onion rings. I could really give a fuck about the fries and i've never had them. Everyone i knew that went to willy's said to grab the onion rings and i have since day one and not regretted my choice. Frappes and ice cream is decent, but if you want something original try the frontier root beer float.

I've been once during the middle if the day when they place was practicially dead empty. Food is great and prices are moderately cheap, the service is just a little slow, which is a pain if you're starving. I definitely recommend you try it at least once; I know I'll probably go back again.

I always get the same thing and they are absolutely fabulous. th eowner is very helpful and the staff is nice and always answers any questions that I have. THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO if you want the most delicious burger ever!!!

Wild Willy's was the first local burger joint to offer a Groupon in Worcester (since expired). When I saw the deal ($7 for $15 worth of food) I immediately grabbed it. My wife and I went on a busy Saturday night and the place was full of people, but not too crazy. When we walked in, there was a line at the front register that took about 15 minutes to get through (yes, you have to wait in line before you can sit). The procedure is as follows; you order and pay at the front register, they give you a jumbo playing card, ours was the 2 of spades, then you pick a table in their dining area and mount your card on a stand at the table. They then bring out your drink order followed by your food order about 10 to 15 minutes later. Definitely not fine dining, but there's nothing wrong with that. I had a Bubba BBQ Burger Medium-Well with a small order of fries and a homemade lemonade. All their beef burgers are priced the same, so you can concentrate on choosing the right burger and not worry about the price. They also have bison burgers & chicken. My wife had the grilled chicken salad with Newman's Own Italian Dressing and carbonated water (sparkling tap water) from the fountain gun. Total Price: $20 (my Groupon Price: $12). The burger was delicious, it was cooked just right and the combination of bacon, cheddar and BBQ sauce provided all the juiciness that one would expect at a good burger joint. My mouth started watering thinking about it just now... it was good. The fries and lemonade were all homemade and delicious. My wife liked the grilled chicken salad although would have preferred a low-fat version of the Italian dressing. All in all, the experience was great. We're not big fans of waiting in line, but on a busy Saturday evening, the wait wasn't too bad. Parking was also somewhat limited, but someone pulled out just as we arrived. Make sure you order your dessert with your original food order, as you'll have to get back in line if you want anything else. If you're looking to have a nice big juicy flavorful burger in a friendly family style restaurant, then Wild Willy's won't disappoint.

This place is amazing. Honestly has one of the best burgers I've ever had. I have always been a Red Robin fan but this place tops RR's burgers by far. I've had burgers around the Worcester area and now since I live in CA, I still haven't found a burger as good as Wild Willy's. You wait in line to order your food and they give you a number. You sit down at any table you want. Seating was never an issue for me because this place is huge. Then they later come by with your order. They also have a pickle barrel where you can buy pickles, if you love them. The price is reasonable and they people there are really friendly. When ever I am back in MA. I will definitely come back to this place.
(5)Jeffrey L.
This place should be MUCH busier than it is but that's because of the location, this Wild Willys blows out the one in Watertown by far, providing Bison burgers and many specials as well, the things they do here are so much better but the decor and service isn't over the top. Its all about the food and the variety and flavors they have here are definitely worth it, Go with the buffalo bill or the conestoga. The fish and chips are pretty good too!

We have gone twice now and both times thought that the burgers were mediocre at best. Yesterday I had the Rio Grande burger which was advertised as a burger with green chilies and cheddar. I asked for medium rare and got well-done with cold diced green bell pepper and a cold piece of cheese- Not even melted to the burger!! My dates bison burger was overdone as well. We explained to the server that we would be sharing drinks- she came back with another straw for our iced tea but wasn't clever enough to bring a second straw for our frappe. Service and food was similarly mediocre at our first visit. Overpriced for those tiny patties- are they even 8oz? Room for improvement, this place could be great if someone there showed some interest and excitement in this place! I wish we had had the good experience others have expressed about this place...

Burgers were dry and not hot.
(2)James R.
Out standing bison burger. Staff was helpful. The ordering process is a little different. You order and pay at the counter and the order is brought to your table. The best onion rings I've had in years.
(4)Jake D.
I think that the burgers are great, service is a little slow but well worth it. Also I love that you can get things other than cow such as bison and buffalo.
(4)Douglas J.
So, I have eaten at Wild Willy's a couple of times, and I've been please each time. The burgers and the fries are awesome. The service is friendly. I recommend Wild Willy's to my friends, and I eat there when I'm in the area. Some might feel that there are not sufficient vegetarian offerings, but hey, it's a burger joint! If you want veg, go to a vegatarian joint.
(5)Tux P.
Good burgers, good drinks! As someone else wrote, I think Red Robin does the 'burger experience' better, but these guys are also less expensive. We all liked the burgers and drinks we ordered. My only complaint is with the Chili & Cheese Fries - the "cheese" is velveeta, I think, and not melted cheddar. The half-sour pickles are a nice little bonus - fantastic for munching on. The ordering system is interesting: you pay for your order at the register, and then they bring it to your table. No plates, no silverware, and you clean your own table. But then again, all this is reflected in the price of the food too. If you're in the area, give Wild Willy's a try instead of normal fast food fare - you won't be disappointed.

excellent menu nice atmosphere and great beef.... it was worth coming to Worcester to visit Wild Willy's on our way to the Armory museum!!
(4)Brian M.
Wild Willy's Bubba BBQ burger is great! Why anyone would go to 5 Guys is beyond me! Onion rings are outstanding and not loaded with grease to give you a heart attack. Area is a dump, but who cares your there to eat! Make sure car is locked!
(5)Paul M.
Awesome burgers! Stopped in and throughly enjoyed mine! Was cooked corrrectly, tasty and I ordered mine smothered in onions and peppers. The handcut fries were good. The Willy's Root Beer was refreshing!
(4)Martha R.
If you want a simple burger or grilled chicken sandwich, Wild Willy's is your place. It's not at all upscale nor is it fast food. We enjoyed burgers, a chicken sandwich, fries and onion rings at Wild Willy's. The sandwiches have a very unique taste; I've never had an In-and-Out burger but I guess I see what all the fuss is about. I think it's a combination of the very fresh meat, grilled perfectly, on that great roll, with the exact toppings you want. Mmmm. Hubby did not like the o-rings but helped himself to most of my fries, which were very good. Love that they have beer and wine. After ordering and finding a table, it took quite a while for the waitress to deliver the drinks (10 - 15 minutes) then about 10 minutes more for the burgers. We were pretty hungry and the place was less than half full, but the cooked to order food was worth the brief wait.

A Review of Wild Willy's Burgers. By Dimitri D. Wild Willy's is a place that has it all. Good friendly service, delicious burgers, reasonable pricing, warm cozy western atmosphere. The burgers are fresh and come to you relatively fast which I like because I'm not a very patient person. As delicious as the burgers are, they still don't quite compare to the legendary Red Robin's but they certainly are a very very close second. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes fresh, tasty, hamburgers fairly quick.
(5)John O.
The food here was decent, but I feel it was WAY overpriced for what you get. The burger itself was cooked decently but it lacked any flavor and the toppings didn't taste fresh at all. I tried the pickles and wasn't a fan. They tasted like they had not had enough time pickeling and tasted like raw cucumber in the middle. The high point of the meal for me was the fresh cut fries.
(2)Brian G.
Not a fan. The best part of the meal by far is the hand cut dries but that is where it ends. The burgers are only ok, nothing compared to 5 guys. Toppings were ok but the meat was not seasoned and WAY overpriced. It is sad when I left knowing chili's makes a better burger. (chili's sucks!)

Buffalo burger was great

I should have known, when we passed the Greendale Mall and I saw the state of affairs that is the shameful and disastrous wasteland called West Boylston Street, that Wild Willy's was no French Laundry. And although a restaurant can't be held responsible for the fetid conditions of its host neighborhood, it most certainly is culpable under the rules of general hygiene to keep its interior tidy. Their burger offerings are varied and relatively inexpensive. The "Bubba BBQ" and the "Wicked Good" were so-so; palatable and filling, but nothing to be wowed about. The fries were limp and soggy and flavorless. They somehow even rejected the addition of salt and vinegar, no matter how much used, to triumph in their flavorless glory. My review here really revolves around that sorry slob herself; the establishment proper. When we arrived, there were two other couples in the dining area, and what seemed to be 4 or 5 dining room staff members on duty; plenty of folk available to wash a table, a window, or chisel some ketchup from the tabletop or windowsill. But, alas, my lofty expectations for even a modicum of cleanliness were not met. I, frankly, am grossed out that I ate here. I watched in awe as a female employee made a milkshake, and then wiped the ice-cream splattered mirror behind the mixer with what I can only imagine was a rubber glove slathered with Crisco. If you don't mind this kind of clean, by all means... grab a burger!! Personally, I'd rather eat a frigging bologna sammich from a roach-coach off of a park bench. Sayonara, Wild Willy's.

Wild Willy's is an absolute gem. This no-frills eatery has the best burgers in town, hands down. It's not often that you find a restaurant with lightning-quick service, yet a gourmet selection of burgers. If you are a bleu cheese lover, I highly recommend the Annie Oakley. However, Wild Willy's greatest creation has got to be its bison burgers. It's cooked to perfection and you can pick from three or four different types. Order your burger with some perfectly fried onion rings to complete a meal you won't forget for a while.

so i LOVE the show how i met your mother and there's this episode about finding the best burger in new york. inevitably, after i watch that episode, i ALWAYS want a burger SOOOOO bad. usually, i'd fix that by a trip to in-n-out! however, i'm not in LA anymore so i turned to yelp to find a good burger joint and i came across the reviews of Wild Willy's. So i went last night to satisfy my burger craving and it definitely did the trick. They have made to order burgers with tons of choices and options. The buns are buttered and grilled (yum), and their beef patties are thick and yummy! The decor in the place is really cute; its all old west style. I have to say it's a solid burger! Much better than fast food, and better than red robin. HOWEVER, for those of you who said Wild Willy's is the east coast answer to in-n-out, i have to say that it's not a very good answer. In-n-out beats Wild Willy's HANDS DOWN!!! but for worcester, i'd have to say it's the best burger available (that i've experienced).
(3)Myke L.
If I was hungry in Worcester, MA I would hit this place up again. 25¢ pickles are good and the burgers are tasty. The meat lacks a little flavor but with enough toppings it will make up for it.

I got a blast from the past when I walked into Wild Willy's. I swear I was in line at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disney World. You know how it looks inside where you spend time in line....the old lights that look like lanterns, the rustic wood and the look of the wild west. Yep...yeeehhhaaaa. We ordered up our meal at the register and you get this huge card out of a huge deck. Our number was the 6 of spades if you really wanted to know. The menu is huge over in back of the counter. Lots of different toppings for the burgers and they had onion rings, fries and usual stuff. Prices were pretty good...under 20 bucks for both of us to eat. The dining room was pretty spacious, open, airy with the same lanterns as the register area. We didn't have to wait long as we were only the 3rd couple in there. The only thing I didn't care for is that the burgers came in individual wrappers....and on a tray like a cafeteria. I don't think the wild west had trays. Good burgers, strange style.

Have been back many times since my first review. The problem with the buns have been fixed, the food comes out in a timely manner no matter how crowded, and the workers have all been friendly and professional. Also, great, great, great frappes.
(5)Doga K.
the best burgers in town. the staff and the owners are very friendly. I recommend the chicken sandwiches if you are worried about your cholesterol. The only downside is their hours. 8 pm is way too early to close!
(5)Kelly S.
I'm always on the lookout for a good burger, and had heard good things about Wild Willy's. I was not disappointed- thick, juicy burger (cooked to order), with a good selection of potential toppings. The fries were perfect- fresh cut and just lightly browned. I also enjoyed their rootbeer! Their restaurant is sparkly new and clean, with easy convenient parking. I'll be back.
(3)Randy S.
The best burger in Worcester including great selections. I've been there many times and the burger, cooked to order, has been spot on. Fries are a must have and make sure to enjoy the best pickles this side of Reins. Wash it all down with house root beer. Great value!
(4)Zack S.
It can be frustratingly difficult, especially at chain restaurants, to get a perfectly cooked medium-rare burger. Not so at Wild Willys. I got the Rio Grande burger which was beautifully mid rare with spicy New Mexico chilies and cheddar. Delicious. Nice hand- cut fries with some skins on and tasty 25 cent pickles sealed the deal.
(4)Jaclyn R.
I love this place. Food is great, I like the wide assortment of nonalcoholic beverages, and it has beer. Best of both worlds. Burgers and sandwiches are Awesome, fries are awesome. And don't forget the pickle barrel too, great deli pickles. The only down side is that place is a little over priced, I hate that you don't get fries (or any side) with your burger. Other than that. I love it

wild willy's is my go -to place for a burger craving. the burgers are available in beef or bison with a bunch of topping combos. they will cook them medium/medium rare and i actually see pink, which makes me happy. my favorite lately has been bacon, cheddar, grilled onions and BBQ sauce (raw onions are standard but subs are never a problem here). you can also sub a grilled chicken breast with any topping combo. salads are available, but they're pretty basic iceberg/romaine with some other veggies. good size, but i definitely don't come here for salad! the fries and onion rings are delicious and the orders are huge. we usually split a small order of each and it's plenty. sweet potato fries are a new addition and have been popular with friends i've taken there. drinks are refillable when you eat in. they also have a huge pickle barrel full of delicious fresh dill pickles for $0.25 to hold you over until the burger comes. i love wild willy's and we probably come here once a month. the owners are sweet and very visible at the restaurant. they seem to have a good rapport with the staff and we've always had great service.
(5)Rooster C.
Just awesome!! Great bugers, chicken and bison burgers. They have a bar, so you can grab a beer or a homebrewed soda. Real dill pickles in a barrel for only $0.25 each!! This is a gem of Worcester!1

I can't understand why I don't hear more about Wild Willy's burgers. I feel that this place is New England's answer to In-N-Out burger, except for slower. Burgers are cooked to order and ground from prime cuts of beef. The fries are hand cut and give In-N-Out a run for their money. Home brewed beverages include draft root beer, raspberry lime rickey's, lemonade and iced tea alongside the regular Co(ke)rporate offerings. Beer and wine are also available and you can have your burgers prepared any which way but wrong. Apparently this location is so new it hasn't made it on to the website yet. Run while you can, avoid the long lines that come with delicious burger notoriety before word gets out.

This was my first experience with Wild Willy's Burgers and it came accross as a little disappointing. First, they are not traditional FAST food, so if your expecting drive trhough speed, your not getting it. They cook to order. (I think) I got the Bubba BBQ Burger, and its was OK, a cut above McD's, B-King, etc. (took maybe 7 minutes to get my order) Where I was disappointed was the fry's. Cmon people if your name has the word burger in it, learn how to serve fries. Mine were cold, heavy, and just plain soggy. You get much better fires at the drive through burger places. I also ordereed, the Lime Ricky, it was 75% ice. The 25% drink was really good, but they were cheap with it, I'm betting they actually increased thier profit margin by mayb 1-2 cents on the order but this shows a lack or customer appreciation. I'll give them one more chance since the burger was ok, but if the other items like the fries and drinks dont make it, they wont be worth my bother.
(2)John L.
I read about this place online a while back and heard about how good the burgers were, so one night with nothing to do I brought a few friends to check it out. I was very happy with what I found. Both that first time I visited Wild Willy's and a second time just recently, the place was pretty quiet. On my first visit I hoped to try a bison burger, but they were out, so I settled for beef. I got the Bubba BBQ Burger and it was absolutely amazing! The second time around, I was a bit luckier and finally got to try my first bison burger. Remembering how much I loved the BBQ burger I decided to order it again, though of course with bison this time around. Comparing the two meats, I'd say the bison tastes a bit leaner, without sacrificing flavor. Getting a burger with bison will cost you an extra dollar, but I think it was definitely worth the try and I may consider getting it again. I do strongly recommend the Bubba BBQ Burger!
(5)Rob S.
Went because of a groupon and really enjoyed it. It's a bit expensive because you have to order a-la-carte but everything was good and tasty for sure.
(4)Eir A.
Mediocre at the very best. I went with my family I am a vegetarian they are not. We liked the fries. I was not thrilled with the way you order and they brought us food but never asked if we needed any thing. We had to get up several times to get condiments silver ware for our kids and our selves. I ordered a side salad and a veggie burger. The sale was soaking wet and vegetables had no taste. My veggie burger came out cold, "rAw" , and not as I ordered. I brought it back to the counter and asked if they could cook it and fixit to put the toppings I ordered on. Went back to the table and a young manager looking man brought it back to me. Opened it and it was still wrong I had to back to the counter and there was no one to be found after several minutes I flagged someone down and asked if I could please have the cheese put on the burgers I originally ordered. The same young manager brought the burger back to me no apologies or any thing just a smile. By this time you can imagine my 2 kids under 2 had completely finished sitting don to eat and I had to take this cold again by the way veggie burger with me. We won't be going again service was disappointing and so was food. Never again!

Probaly in my 14 year old's top 3 places. The burgers are big and juicy and come with many choices of toppings. The french fries and onion rings are always plentiful and hot.We also purchased their refillable "growler" which allows us to bring their delicious rootbeer home. The owner will walk up to your table and converse with you.He really does seem to care about the quality of his business. The spacious booths add to the casual rustic atmosphere.
