Meh. $8-9 for average breakfast food. They offer organic free range eggs but you have to pay $1 extra per egg. They need to step up their game.

Friendly, attentive, fast service. Good fresh food. Reasonable prices. Limited options but more than enough to choose from for breakfast. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

I thought it was really good. They only have a small area to cook though so It took a while to get my food, but with breakfast i kind of like waiting having a cup of coffee and relaxing. Sitting at the bar was comfortable, a couple TVs to watch. I was salivating with each prepared dish in front of me as it all looked so good. Might get kind of cramped in the winter but maybe they'll put all the tables together and everyone will be one big party :-P

I have been at The Breakfast Bar twice. It is a relatively new business, so the owner makes an effort to greet the customers personally or at least acknowledge them. A lot of the other reviewers had mentioned having to wait a long time for their food or that the people working behind the counter did not follow proper food handling procedures. I should know this because I worked in the food industry myself for quite a long time, although now I have a job in my own field. It is true, the person who works at the grill, does not wear gloves. It is common sense, that you need to wipe the knife, or your working area. Also the grill has to be scraped before putting on a new order. You must not touch your face, and if you do, you must wash your hands. I guess some of this applies to the waitresses as well; if you have long hair, you must keep it in ponytail, and wear your yoga pants when are the gym. I like that they are making the effort to get their produce and dairy from local farms. The bread seems to be of good quality, as do the cold cuts. The coffee is awesome, especially the french vanilla iced coffee. Thank you for not using the fake syrups, and for putting enough ice, it is true most places are so stingy with the ice, order an iced coffee or iced tea at the Bean Counter for example. A few last pieces of advice to the owner, invest in a software, and have the waitresses put the orders on the computer, get a printer, so that way the kitchen gets their orders, without having the waitresses going back and forth. You have such a small area behind the counter. The kitchen should alert the waitress when a certain order is ready. You could even hire a cashier. All in all, the food is good, more time needs to be spent on hiring and training the right people the right way, and make use of your small space in a more efficient way. Good luck !!!

I've come in for breakfast a couple of times and like the vibe here. Service has been friendly and fast. Thumbs up for having organic options. I do wish there was a source of vegan protein--like beans or tofu or tempeh--on the menu, but in the meantime I'm happy to order a few sides. I get potatoes, toast, and a generous portion of fresh fruit with coffee.

This place is a great place for breakfast. Had omelet with chicken sausage. Food was very good. Owner even came over to check on us twice and gave my son a complimentary organic yogurt. Will be back.

Great place, very friendly staff and yummy food. Gluten Free and organic options.

Says it's "gluten friendly".... But the cooks/ staff were not knowledgable when it came to cooking with gluten free food. He used the same egg batter that contained gluten when making gluten free French toast. Just because they have gluten free bread doesn't mean they are trained on how to cook with it. I got very sick from eating here. I highly suggest that if anyone has celiac disease to stay away!

We moved to Worcester from Tucson, AZ, and we struggle to find a breakfast place that has fresh food that is creative and delicious. Worcester's great for dinner, but the diner culture has ensured that all breakfast places taste the same. We often find ourselves driving to South Street in Westboro or Bluebell near the Tower Hill Botanical Gardens. And then we decided to try this place. What a relief. Now we have a Worcester option! Some of the reviews have complained about the amount of food, but we got more than enough to eat, and we all had healthy appetites. There were five of us, three adults and two children. The place was totally child-friendly. We tried The Hangover, The Newton Square, The Farmer's Market, and my children ordered from the children's menu. We also ordered fantastic fruit cups. None of us were disappointed. Warning for parents: No bathroom. Have children go before heading for this place. But other than that, fantastic! Children want to go again.

Out of my entire dining out history, this has been the worst experience of my entire life. My friends and I had to wait almost 2 hours for all of our meals to finally come out correct. They had gotten 4 out of our 7 meals wrong and had to remake them. We were served our meals without silverware and did not have our silverware brought out until 10-15 min after our meals. I had asked for a cup of ice water 3 times, and it was well over 30 min before it finally was brought out. My husband asked for a re-fill of his coffee which he never got. The coffee also tasted like water. On top of that, the coffee was brought out without creamer, which we waited another 10-15 min for the creamer to come out. After the millionth mistake, I told them to not re-make my meal, that I was "all set." So they said they would take it off the bill. We got the bill and it was still on it. Not only that, but there was an extra charge for meat, which they only gave us because they had ran out of home fries so decided to give us bacon instead of homefries, without even asking if we wanted bacon first. I can't even believe this happened. Seriously? Not even an apology. I never not leave tips, but I definitely did not leave a tip today. HORRIBLE. The ONLY good thing about this place was the title.

Just ate here for the first time since the rebirth. My GF and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the scrambled eggs with portabella mushrooms (a first for me), and she had the waffles with fresh fruit and honey. Both were delicious and well prepared. I really enjoyed the chicken sausage that accompanied the eggs. Coffee was good and refilled frequently; service was friendly and attentive. Contrary to what other reviewers experienced, we thought the portions were ample and service was quick (although it was not busy). REALLY happy the new owner found a way to use real dishes in the tiny kitchen instead of disposables. Coffee tastes much better when it's not from a styrofoam cup. We definitely plan to return.

Ordered breakfast this morning, was charged $8.50 for the tiniest amount of hash, about 6 burnt pieces of potato, and burnt scrambled eggs. I do NOT recommend.

Excellent breakfast food. Not diner like huge portions but great quality. Creative menu. The staff is very friendly and outdoor seating is nice.

I've been to the Breakfast Bar a handful of times. If you're looking for anything that looks like decent service, do not go on a weekend. My few week day visits were pleasant. Decent food with decent service. All that you could really expect for a small breakfast place. My few weekend visits have been horrible. We often sit at the bar, and you'd think the service would be more attentive seeing the staff walks past you a zillion times. Hardly the case. On multiple visits we've had to ask for the simple things like silverware, cream for our coffee and coffee refills. Not to mention on the weekend if you get your food in under 45 minutes it's just shy of a miracle. Just don't expect it to be right. Our latest trip for instance (on a Sunday morning) our food took over an hour, and we damn near had to beg for coffee refills while waiting. When our order came, the omelette had maybe one egg to it, my sandwich was made with the wrong kind of bread and I never even got the soup I ordered. Not to mention the times we sat at the bar we had a front row seat to the unsanitary conditions. Female severs with long hair, often not tied back and being played with. Grill cooks that don't wear gloves or have longer hair themselves which should have been in a hair net. We've watched them handle food wipe their hands on their jeans/t-shirt and continue to handle other food. Or my personal favorite, drop food on the dirty floor (compete with straw and food wrappers) pick it up with their bare hands and then continue to handle other food. I have never once seen a cook wash their hands. Our last visit took an 1h20m for food and the owner/manager appeared clueless. We also got quite the laugh listening to servers tell customers that walked in the door that food was going to take a long time because the grill was backed up and they close in an hour. Exact words were "I haven't taken your order yet because the grill is backed up, and we do close in an hour." Thats some horrible customer service. Needless to say we'll be happily taking our business elsewhere....

Great new place that took over where Bagels And Friends used to be. Interesting menu and good service. I had the Garden Of Eden Omelette which was very fresh tasting. My wife has the Eggs Benedict and that also was great. It wasn't too heavy. I hope this place stays for a while.

Stopped in here for breakfast since it was conveniently around the corner from work. Ordered the Hangover which was a ton of food at a good price. I'm not normally a big fan of home fries, but the ones here are great. The Hangover was great because it came with a choice of two meats. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was my Italian toast because it wasn't thick sliced. Great food, great service. Will be back.
