Went there in April because we had a groupon. Didn't know what to expect as we are from out of town and it seemed more of a to-go type place. Our pizza was half pepperoni and half Hawaiian with ham & bacon, both sides perfectly cheesy. I actually asked if they cook the meat separately since there was no grease - in a good was, it wasn't dry, it was great. We also ordered chicken marsala, and it was out of this world!!! He said he cooks his pasta with the sauce, not in water so that way it isn't watery. The chicken parm was ok, a little bland, but quality chicken and good once we added a bit of sauce. The chicken tenders were also good, and the fried doe pieces were great for sharing. The baclauva was homemade and the best I have had for a while. The owner/cook actually served us and never seemed bothered by our pesky demands - we were with 4 kids, 3 adults and needed extra sauces, cups, and misc. The little dinning area tucked in back was decorated nicely and all the staff the came out to check on us were wonderful. Hope to get back there soon. Plus it is across the street from a state park and is a great way to finish off a summer day!!!!

To give you an idea just how much I love Ninnos I downloaded and created an account for Yelp just to give them a good rivew. The staff is amazing and always remembers that I have a young son so they throw in lollipops for him every time we order, so thoughtful! Always a timely delivery, great prices too. Now for their food, they have a great selection and everything I've ordered has been exceptional. Their sandwiches are the talk of my family as we order them often. I can't say enough about their amazing food and service.

Pretty standard pizzeria with slightly above average pizza. Mainly fried apps, jalapeno poppers are good, fries are slightly better than good. Chef salad was missing key ingredients (egg, bacon bits, swiss and cheddar {american substituted}), however it was still crispy fresh and satisfying. Two things give this place 4 stars instead of the standard 3: 1. The staff is a SUPER friendly Greek family 2. They have baklava (and it's good).

Driving through Westfield on a cold Monday night, I decided to grab some takeout at Ninoss Pizzeria Ristorante, which is located in the Hampton Ponds Plaza. The parking lot is a bit set back from the plaza. This strip plaza eatery is very casual and inviting, which is order at the counter with overhead menus and open kitchen and 2 dining sections with painted murals, tables and booths, TV, candy dispensers, and small pinball machine. The menu offerings include traditional & specialty hand tossed pizzas (sm, lg, giant), calzones, subs, burgers, appetizers, salads, soup, pasta dinners, chicken, kabobs, steak tips, seafood (haddock, shrimp), and kids meals. The prices are fair, pizza prices $7.50 (sm cheese)-$23.25 (giant specialty), dinners ($10-$14), and subs ($5.50-$7.00). See the menu at yellowbook.com/profile/n… For those who love to eat "Man vs. Food" style, Ninoss offers the Monster Burger Food Challenge. Just finish off this monstrous burger with the works (about 5 lbs), and surrounded by fries and be on the Wall of Fame (I saw no pics on my visit) or on the Wall of Shame (pics of those who tried and failed, eyes bigger than their guts). Anyways, I decided to order the Lasagna Dinner Special ($9.99) and a small 10" cheese pizza ($7.50). I watched my food being made and the pizza dough was stretched and tossed in the air. I flipped through few restaurant and food service magazines on hand while I waited. My order was ready in about 15 minutes after placing my order. The Baked Lasagna was really good, which was piping hot with dense layers of cheese, generous amounts of ground beef, firm sheets of noodles, with lots flavorful tomato sauce and melted mozzarella cheese, baked in a round foil container. The side salad was very fresh with crispy lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, and dressing cup on the side. However, the buttered garlic bread was soft and could've used a few more minutes in the oven. The small thin crust cheese pizza was excellent, which was crispy outside and soft inside with the right amounts of sauce and cheese, to the edges of the pizza. This is one of the better cheese pizzas I've had in a while. I'll have to try a specialty pizza (possibly the Tuna Pizza or Greek) next time. Overall, great tasting food and a great find in a quiet strip plaza! I would definitely return to Ninoss for more pizza and pasta, if I happen to be in Westfield again, but no Monster Burger Food Challenge for moi!

I'm in town visiting in laws and can't help but notice all the pizza and Italian pie shops scattered throughout the landscape. I decided to give Ninoss a chance on a rainy afternoon. As soon as I heard the woman's eastern euro accent I should have ran for the hills. But against my better judgement I decided to give it a chance. Note to self.....self, leave Italian cooking to Italiano people. I am half Italian so I know my grandmothers food. I ordered the lasagna. At first glance everything appeared to be in order. Cheese, sauce, pasta and a warm plate right???? Not! The lasagna was overlooked and dry. The ground beef was dry and overlooked and had a funny taste. There appeared to be four layers of pasta and only one layer of parm and no other cheeses!!!!!! The sauce or gravy was also scarce. One layer of cheese only on top????? In case they didn't know lasagna has layers of sauce, cheese, meat and pasta.......run for the hills and avoid Ninoss at all cost......11 dollars for a slab of dog doo?????

Tried to go here tonight, but the map pin is in the wrong spot... Submitted an edit business request to the correct location, which is in a strip mall on Rt 202 across from Hampton Ponds State Park. I give the place 5 stars for how gracious, what seemed to be the owners, were when we called to cancel our order from the wrong pin location, which was 21 min away!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
