Well "the leaf" as the Westfield folk call it, used to be an alright place, nice place to stop after work and grab a tall drink, some really great food. Now, it's more like a fuckin frat house, the kind of frat house where it's acceptable to throw your own shit at the walls. The college crowd that plagues this city has moved from bar to bar festering like locusts until the city folk want nothing to do with them anymore. I'd give them no stars, but the food is actually all right. They have sammiches and burgers and fuckin wings and shit, a few good beers on tap, pool tables, keno, and usually have a decent shot of the month special, but I'm not sure of all that makes up for the gromit population festering inside here. If its not college cocks bringing this place down, it's the team of booze bags that sit here all day every day just milkin the maple leaf tit. On a Friday or Saturday night you're lookin to live like Pablo Escobar, make your way to a bathroom stall, and if the two sided tape is off the top of the toilet, there's a good chance you'll be grinding your teeth before you fuckin know it.

The bouncer, who was an old guy with glasses, denied my friend access because all he had was a military ID. My friend doesn't drink and was dressed in a suit from an earlier party we had been to (very casual bar, so maybe we were too dressed up). When asked the bouncer said he could accept mil IDs, but decided not to, with no further explanation. Very lame excuse, considering mil IDs are extremely hard to fake. This is the only place I've ever seen something like this happen (across 30+ states and at least 10 countries I can remember), I'm 28 and my friend is 30. I realize it's their right to refuse service, but we were very disgusted at how this was handled.

Good time to go out for a drink, but the DJ is absolutely terrible doesn't take requests and plays the same music every weekend.

Terrible service, overpriced and under poured. I've been denied service several times for sweating and falling over. The bartender actually asked me to leave just because I was trying to climb in over the patio fence when they were at capacity.

I go to the "leaf" all the time. It's one of my favorite places to chill and have a beer, and get some dinner in Westfield. Everything I've had there was really good and the prices are good. (Half price apps on Monday nights!) The garlic wings are so good! The quesadilla there is huge and the best around. I often get an option from the specials menu (which changes every few days) they even offer seasonal local options like asparagus as a side option sometimes. Drinks are very fair priced and the bartenders are friendly! They offer a few local micro brews like Wormtown and Westfield river brewery. Served up in frosty glasses every time. It does get a bit hoppin' with college students later at night on the weekends. They usually have a DJ and it gets pretty loud but its a pretty chill place during the day. They have an outside seating/smoking patio. I would absolutely recommend this place! :D

Pretty decent place with a mixed bag of customers ranging in college kids to old guys playing Keno. Drinks are a little pricey but I'm used to cheaper drinks where I normally go. Good atmosphere and ranges from just sitting at the bar having a drink, to getting dinner, to playing a game of pool. Definitely would come back if I'm in the area again.

Westfield is not really a place where I'd say there is a lot of "nightlife," but the Maple Leaf Inn is a fun bar that serves some pretty good food, plentiful drinks and good times all around. Bar service is the standout attraction and the beer served here is the coldest I've found when I've been out in the greater Springfield area. Food is what one would expect at a bar - burgers are a strong point, as are the appetizers. Food is very reasonably priced, as are the drinks. There's a pool table, Keno, and although the place isn't easy to find (unless you know your way around downtown Westfield) it is otherwise pretty welcoming. You could bring the kids and the best time to do so is around the dinner hour - later it can get boisterous and earlier it's better for older folks. Always a stop whenever I'm in town.
