Diabetics at TGI Friday
If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.
Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:
Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. Also, skip Warm Pretzels with Craft Beer-Cheese dipping sauce as it contains more than 3000mg sodium. It is wise to skip the dessert for diabetics, especially the Brownie Obsession topped with Vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecans.

I must say it's incredible at how Friendly's provides a lousy service Every. Single. Time. This was so bad that I had to review it. I will describe how I feel when I walk into Friendly's via a different route: You wake up in the morning and you have purchased a brand new pair of wool socks the day before. You imagine getting back home after a long day of work and your socks still smelling pristine. They smell so good that you actually think that you could put them on tomorrow. I digress. Back to the morning before. You shower, eat, do some push-ups, drink a super green smoothie and are ready to take the world on when all of a sudden it all comes crashing down. You take one step outside and step in a massive puddle. I don't care what kind of socks you own, they are wet. This is Friendly's. As a child you remember it for its ice cream, and fun sundaes, and now you realize what a terribly run franchise it is, and how great your parents were for dealing with their child ( I was a particularly difficult one), and poor service. I walked in, sat waiting for a host/hostess to stop by only to have the male and female waiters walk by several times. Eventually the gentleman working seated me, brought me water and told me that Shannon would be right with me. She took the order of another table, chatted with the older gentlemen in a very nice way and as she walked by I tried to order. She told me she would "be right with you." She came by another two times before going into the back area and didn't appear for another 5 minutes. At this point I got up and walked out past the waitress, got in my car and went home.

... Service has improved ., wait time is better., from time you enter , until your food is presented., staff is friendly & the present manager seems destined to make your visit pleasant. The last couple times there, i did'nt have to remind the waitress to include Mom's (90 yrs. old) senior discount!

Although service at this particular Friendly's is abysmally slow, and orders are frequently incorrect, this is a standard I have known this particular location to have had for at least the last 10 years. Tonight, three out of five orders were wrong, the waitresses were mismanaged, and when one of the waitresses turned around, she not only rolled her eyes at us, but continued to berate us in the kitchen which we could see by finger pointing. We attempted to discuss our frustration with the manager, and he went to the back and allowed the snickering to continue. On the way out, we even overheard our waitress Kristin (?)mention spitting in food. I would like to point out that our order consisted of ice cream and munchies. Even though the manager gave us our meals at no cost, that does not make up for the rudeness and insulting behavior by both the manager and the waitresses to allow this behavior to continue. We did not even raise our voices ,but had a conversation with the manager right in front of other patrons because he didn't even want to take us aside to discuss the issue. Nobody should go to a restaurant where it is okay to be insulted, especially when you are not fault. In all of the reviews and restaurants I have visited I have never been to a place where the food has been so terrible and the service worse.

Went in for just ice cream, was in the mood for something sweet after dinner. Place was maybe one third full and we ordered simple ice cream and waited for more than twenty minutes before we left without our treats. Waitress kept apologizing but we never did get our ice creams.

Staying at the holiday inn so this was the closest option. Normal diner food. Service was super fast and the food hot. Not many options for my vegetarian friend which was a bummer. Portions could have been bigger as we got dinner at 9.99 each. But everything was clean, staff nice and really quick service. Get rid of the fluorescent lighting, this ain't wal mart.

We went here for breakfast this morning and had a great meal! The restaurant was clean and our waitress was very friendly. I ordered the veggie scramble and I was pleasantly surprised. My husband tried the eggs benedict and enjoyed it very much and my son's pancakes were enormous! Plenty to bring home for leftovers. We'll definitely be back!

I like how Friendly's displays these photos of awesome looking food on the Yelp page yet, when you get the food, it looks nothing like that. Seriously, Yelp shouldn't allow that since these reviews are supposed to be non-bias from paying customers. Using professionally designed photos should not be permitted. I grew up in the area and Friendly's was always a big deal and the times we went there were special to me. I had to wonder if returning to the area for a few days if Friendly's would still capture that magic it had 33 years ago - I can say that the answer is no. I had a chance to stop in here and all I wanted was a Fribble. It took about ten minutes to get it and it was definitely not as good as I remember. I was hoping to eat a meal but, we ran out of time. I'll leave Friendly's to what I remember it best for - a good childhood memory.
