The appetizer cajun scallop was very good. Cooked just enough so that it was flavorful and juicy.The buffalo chicken app was also very good as the batter was crispy and spiced well. It's the Kobi Salmon was a disappointment. The salmon was way over done and dry. There was no flavor. The glaze was too salty.

Really disappointed. Had been looking forward to a nice entree salad which is typically hard to screw up. Decided to splurge and get an appetizer, also. How can you go wrong with New England crab cakes in Mass? Well, I found out. My crab cakes were soggy and tasted of filler. One portion was especially firm, as if it had been microwaved. Not sure I could find the crab meat in the limp patty. Somewhere in heaven a poor crab weeps for what he sacrificed his body for. I weep, too. Then came the salad. Chef salad. I think it was made by the infamous South Park Chef for local elementary school. It has been since 5th grade that I had such a mediocre Chef salad served to me in any dining facility. Salad greens tasted off. The sliced lunch meats would have gone home for the dog if I were not on travel. The bacon was cooked. The best I can say. Avocado was devoid of flavor. Waiter asked if I was full. I let him know that I was disappointed. He told me a story about how the crab cakes are prepared. I asked if they came from the freezer. He told me they are made on site, pan fried, and then put in the oven. I duuno. Still think that a freezer and microwave are more involved than he lets on. I will not eat dinner there again.

I am in town on business and got stuck working late one night so I decided to give this try. The reviews looked good and it was in the hotel. Menu was kinda all over the place so no real identity. Some coworkers had the lobster scampi the night before and recommended it. Four of us ordered it. The meal was simply bad. Portions of lobster were different from dish to dish, it was cold, dry, and the lobster had no flavor. It seemed old like it had been prepared earlier and prepared again some how. Very chew and did I mention cold and flavorless. Anyway ,,,,,, never again! We are here for another week and ...never again! It was that bad. I will drive an hr to eat before I eat here again. Sorry but I had to write this it was just that bad.

For a hotel with the Hilton name on it I was less than impressed on several levels. I sat down at the bar and waited about 3-4 minutes to be asked for my drink selection even though there was two bar tenders present. I ordered the Derby Lemonade, one of their specialty drinks from their menu, and the bar tender had never heard of it and wasn't even sure how to make it. He made a nice attempt but failed miserably because there was not one ounce of lemonade flavor but I drank it anyway. For appetizer I ordered the cheese and cracker platter which was a feast for at minimum 3 (see the pictures I posted). They cut small blocks of the cheese and give us large round crackers. The grapes were good and seem to be fresh. The other cheeses were good I just find i hard to eat cheese and crackers when the cheese only covers 1/3 of the cracker and one bite causes the cracker to break into several pieces. For my lunch entree I had the chicken pesto flatbread. It came square shaped with lots of arugula and unmelted parmesan cheese on top. The pesto was ok but the chicken bites were overcooked and difficult to chew. The size was good but the overall flavor was less than desirable but tolerable because I was so hungry. I have been to several Doubletrees and Hilton hotels over the past couple of years and this one has the worst bistro or dining that I have experienced. No, I did not approach management about it as I was not looking for free food and one person's opinion won't change anything. I just won't go eat here again. There staff needs ALOT of education on their specialty drinks and their cooks need to make 4-5 star-like food for what they charge.

We were SO shocked to find that this hotel restaurant (Doubletree Hotel in Westborough) was so fantastic. Just don't expect that in a hotel setting. We decided to eat here the first time primarily because we arrived from the airport late, tired, and hungry. I ordered their scallops and shrimp in white wine cream sauce over risotto. It was excellently prepared. The fish was perfectly cooked and the risotto was tender and full flavored. The second night we met friends for dinner and decided to eat at the Regatta Grille again. This time I ordered their Steak Diane (always a favorite, but rarely find it). This particular version was a filet mignon cooked in a wine sauce, topped with some wonderfully cooked asparagus, and a delicious baked potato. It was cooked perfectly for me (medium rare) and was unbelievably tender--of the "melt in your mouth" variety! One of our friends ordered the same thing and totally loved it. In fact, everyone in our group of five thought their meal was fantastic. My wife had their clam chowder and thought it was super. If there was one less than stellar part of our meal, it was the bread. Both nights, it was dry and somewhat tasteless. However, other than that, we had just outstanding meals during our stay. (The buffet breakfast in the morning was also excellent, but we had free coupons for this meal, so that made it all the more attractive.)

Sorry, Horrible Bar food and clueless bartender. Went here on a Saturday night with some friends for drinks and Appi's. It was 7:30 on Saturday Evening and we thought the place was closed because it was us and 1 guy at the bar with a laptop. We ordered drinks and apparently she thought Knob Creek and diet sounded like Woodford Reserve (they sound similar right??) because that's what I got. Next I asked the bar tender what the dish was in the picture and she didn't know (said it looked like shrimp which isn't even on the menu). We ordered fried Calamari and the Bar sampler. The calamari was cold, didn't have much flavor and wasn't much of a portion. The sampler consisted of cheese quesadillas which were very plain, mozzarella sticks, onion rings(soggy and greasy), and frozen processed chicken fingers. Will I return??? Not sure...but definitely not ordering the same food.

Ditto on the shock of having such an amazing restaurant attached to a hotel! The food is fantastic! The portions are large, and the quality is high! Full assortment of vegetables that varies from dish to dish. I've been eating at this place nearly every night for the past week and have yet to try a dish I didn't like or get bored. Staff is very friendly as well! Good wine selection and decent amount of beer on tap for the thirsty. If you are in the area on business you absolutely must stop in here for food. And even if not... still worth checking out. This place is better than most places I've eaten at in the city!

Ate here last night as I was staying the hotel. The service was fine but wasn't impressed with the food. I ordered chicken parm and it was quite bland. I think the chef needs to learn how to season food.
