We went here a few years ago for some take out and loved what we had that we went back the following week for lunch. The service is great, the smell from the smokers is true BBQ and the food is GOOD!

Simply put this is the only place to get BBQ in town and its not too shabby. Two complaints first like everywhere else its a little pricey for what you get and #2 for some reason they simply will not let you order a burger for take out, why? In the end its welcome break from seafood blag that permeates the town.

This location has been the home to many restaurants and I have tried them all. The food at Marconi is delicious and the service is just as good. The place is always packed and the restaurant still operates like a smooth sailing ship. My family and friends stop here a few times every summer and it never disappoints. They also must take care of their staff because I see the same people working there year after year. Please bring back the stuffed shrimp :)

Parking was easy in their private lot. We were seated quickly and the wait staff were both friendly and timely. Their special fried chicken was kinda dark as they did not change their oil often enough. The whole belly fried clams did not have many bellies, which give clams their unique and delicious taste. Without bellies, clams are kinda tasteless. We did not try their BBQ. This was a family dinner yet I would not choose to come back. PJ's down Route 6 is much tastier.

OUTSTANDING service by Theresa the hostess and Kelley our waitress. The restaurant easily handled a party of eight that included four children. Very Early American theme that was very cool. Enjoyed the ribs and pulled brisket with homemade mashed potatoes- VERY good. Others enjoyed fried lobster, shrimp scampi and pulled pork. Decent selection of local craft beers - try the Cape Cod Red. Not bad at all! Overall, very friendly place with very good food.

Disappointed would be the description of our recent experience at Marconi. Starting with the Quahogs special that turned out to be loaded with filling yet with minimal clams, through the ribs that were overly greasy but overloaded with the barbecue sauce. We miss the quality of the grill as it was. What changed? Hopefully our next visit would be a better experience.

Fried Chicken Sunset... It's now a family tradition... Grab a bucket of their fried chicken, beach blanket and some drinks and head over to the bay side to watch the sunset. Some if the best classic fried chicken I've had. The ribs aren't to bad either. The sides are pretty good... Especially the mashed potatoes with gravy. And the cornbread is like dessert. Skip the lines for the restaurant and go take out.

Maybe for the outer Cape, three stars (but compared to the best tasty bbq I've ever had, I'd say barely a two star experience). Quantity over quality, IMHO. Server was helpful and efficient and honest about the beef ribs being on the fatty side. (We passed on them) PS. Every time I drive by, I'm encouraged by seeing the smoker outside in front, hickory or mesquite or ? wafting through the air... And then so turned off by the guy puffing on his cigarette as he tends to the food and adds some nicotine smoke. ;)

If it wasn't for the food being so good here I would never visit again. The service is always hit or miss and the past few times I've gone, our waitress is always short with us, cold, and slow to our requests. It seems she hates serving tourists and caters only to the locals. We visit once per year and the two older waitresses are always bitchy. We asked for a utensil and she doesn't get it for us so I had to get up and retrieve it myself. She took our drink order about 15 minutes after we sat. She is never warm and friendly. Like I said the food is good and the only reason I come back when I'm in the cape. But I cringe when we get to meet the server.

One of my family's favorites. The portions are huge and the food is excellent. Haven't had a bad meal there yet and have tried almost everything! Has a good beer selection on tap. Sometimes the owner/cook Russ comes out and thanks customers for eating there. You can tell he enjoys his job and appreciates the business. It's a nice treat, and not very expensive for its location and the amount of food you get. It's worth stopping, even for take out on the way home from the beach.

Was looking for good fried clams while in Wellfleet, MA. After driving up and down Rt 6, family and I decided on Marconi's. Wow what a surprise, I ordered the Fried Clam Platter, wife did too, daughter ordered a seafood over linguine dish. All was excellent, service and food. My clam plate was huge, more than enough and the clams were the best I have had this season, full, large bellied clams, the plate was $23.99, Very reasonable price for what we received. Very happy, and walked away full and satisfied. Place was great, decorated with nostalgic stuff from the 50s and 60s, music from the same era playing too and as hot as it was outside 89 degrees, it was a nice cool AC'd place inside. (Cold Sam Adams Summer was good too). Highly recommended. I hear they have great BBQ here too.

Delicious BBQ. Ordered takeout and brought to beach. Fried chicken, ribs, and pulled pork all tasty! Also our family tried and enjoyed the Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and coleslaw. Reasonably priced too.

We've gone to this place once a year for the past 2 years. The smokey aromas literally drift onto the highway and draw you in. I'm surprised it hasn't caused more accidents (especially because traffic on 6 Is a nightmare). Good luck getting in and out during rush hour, but is it worth it? Id say give it a try, the ribs are super tasty and tangy. One full rack ran me $20!!! I just think it's a little bit pricey for what you actually get! (Sides included)

This is such a good option for everything. The lobster roll was mayo free and amazing, the pulled pork sandwiches were incredible and the waitstaff are amazing. And the beers are cheap! This place is perfect for pre-beach food and post-beach beers. Definitely my favorite place on the Cape yet.
(5)
Michael S.
BBQ was great. My daughter had the ribs and loved them. The BBQ stew was amazing. I would definitely recommend it as a post beach stopover.

Such RUDE customer service! Hostess was an absolute witch.... Only reason they get 2 stars from me instead of 1 is because the food was good(not great though). I watched 3 different families leave after speaking to the hostess. Asked if we could wait in the bar area (there was a 40 minute wait) and the witch said "no kids allowed in the bar"

This is ok. Not many BBQ places in the area, so it is a nice change, but not my favorite BBQ place ever.
(4)
Hunter Y.
Awesome place, you get a TON of food for your money. The lobster roll had the freshest lobster, the cod sandwich had the freshest cod. Definitely a place to stop by on your way to/from P-town! And the fries are the best fries ever!

Amazing... Lots of great food. Very fresh seafood. Being a sushi aficionado the seared tuna appetizer was amazing. The Wasabi was incredibly with the seared tuna. Highly recommended. Very large portions and great quality. Excellent variety of foods. Smoked meats and seafood.

With all the choices to eat in the area, mostly seafood and lobster, lobster, lobster, and more lobster...It was great to find a bbq joint. I gotta say, we loved this place. We ordered the pulled pork platter and pulled pork sandwich. Great but limited beer selection. The platter food portion was enormous. We were so glad we found this place. It was so good, one of my favorite bbq places I have come across for taste. The pulled pork was fabulous as were the mashed potatoes, and sweet potato fries. Wasn't crazy about cole slaw, on sweet or vinegary side, couldnt tell what it was I didnt care for in it. Great rustic charm (decorated with antiques and gadgets), seated right away (late on a Saturday night, 7ish), and the wait staff was aweome. Prices totally fair for what you get. If you are with someone who wants seafood (...lobster) or steak, they have it too. A place to please everyone. Had the greatest waitress, she went out of her way to find someone we could talk to about the local area. We will come back for sure.

Pleasant, technically perfect BBQ with no regional identity or pretenses. It's all pretty good, none of it outstanding, but it's the only game in town if you're craving BBQ on the lower Cape. OK bar, few veggie options, tendency to sweetness in sauces and slaw. Now they've added a more traditional menu to supplement the BBQ
(3)

Oddly enough this was our best meal on the cape. Everyone in our party was pleased from the non-seafood eaters to the seafood lovers. The crab and artichoke dip was great as well as the wellfleet oysters (got 7 on the half dozen order) to start. Also enjoyed were the BBQ sampler- killer BBQ sauce and corn bread muffin, hot buttered lobster roll- bursting with lobster for only $15 (total deal compared to other nearby places), and the seafood scampi- one mussel was "missing" from the shell and the waitress brought out a bowl of 3-4 more to replace it. Decent beer selection, quick seating and prompt service. And the owner checked in on us too! If I were to come back, I would come back here. Wish I got some photos before all the food was devoured.

When you go ask Gus. Try the pulled dork. Fried chicken is really good. Steak Bomb is great too

Really good. Had the Pappadelle with lobster and roasted corn special, my daughter had the Shrimp and pasta. Came with big Caesar salads, hot crusty bread and the server hand shaved Parmesan at the table. Nice dining rooms, quite unlike a lot of places up here.

We decided to get take out for 20 people for my 50th birthday. Best decision we could have made. Everything was perfect, juicy and hot. Everybody raved about the brisket, ribs, fried chicken, beans, cole slaw and corn bread. Highly recommend going or taking out.
(5)
Mike B.
I'm giving it 5 stars for mainly 2 reasons: 1) The rollicking, high-energy atmosphere and kick-ass staff. 2) The really tasty fried chicken. Steaks and fish here have also been consistently delicious and are cooked to temp. (So if you want a rare steak, you don't have to worry about it coming out medium.) Avoid the barbeque (I know, it's a barbeque place but trust me) and you'll have a great, great time!
(5)

Most excellent brisket and fried chicken. I stop here to eat whenever I'm on the lower Cape. Nice food, nice staff (especially waitress Mary! she rocked). My daughter is a chicken freak and she loved it. I cant think of a single negative to say. Russ the owner is very friendly. For Cape Cod and seafood being pushed down your throat, this can be a very welcome alternative if you wish. You can only eat so many oysters, clams and lobsters... maybe.....hmmmmm

Every single thing we had off the menu was off the hook ! Great fresh seafood ! The BBQ was perfectly smoked, tender, full of flavor. Friendly and smiling staff. Def recommend this place !

Second time eating here with my family. Delicious food, huge portions, decent price, friendly staff, prompt service. If you're seafood-ed out, this is the place to go. Entrees for 4 adults and two desserts came to about $100, which is a decent price in this area, but With these portions, any other place you would pay $200. Any questions about the area or recommendations, ask for Kevin. He was a great server and obviously from the area with recommendations of other places to see. Great server. I wasn't blown away by dessert. Had the "brookie" which is a brownie cookie. The scoop of icecream along with it was a little small, but the actual pie slice was ginormous. Good thing I was sharing with my brother. It tasted good, but it wasn't the best thing I've ever had. Again, huge portion for just $5.99.

My second visit for the friend chicken was a epic failure! We drove from Provincetown and arrived at 830pm but they were closed. I guess that's the kind of hours with a seasonal cape restaurant. At this point as good as the reviews might be, I guess I can just never get to order any food from this place! Ok I got to go back and had the fried chicken. Very tasty.
(4)
Valerie F.
The BBQ potato skins were delish! BBQ ribs and brisket were amazing! Sweet potato fries were cut nice and thick. Great spot for lunch or dinner. Hubs and I split the combo...the portions are huge! Only thing that wasn't fab was the coleslaw...too soupy for my taste.

Stopped here on a whim whilst travelling back to the upper cape. Place was busy but not that busy where we had to wait for a booth. Service was slow. We tried a varied selection - brisket, fried chicken, pulled pork and the mac and cheese with pulled pork. All were delicious and the portions generous. The mac and cheese was actually better cold the next day. Corn muffins were good, but a little disappointed about the sides. They were tiny little ketchup dipping size cups. Cmon. A huge portion of food and you skimp on the baked beans and cole slaw?? Would have been five stars but I deducted one star for service and the size of sides. The prices were fair for the amount of food we got. Will I be back? Absolutely!

When you have so many great choices for dinner on Cape Cod BBQ is generally not top of mind. But we spent 20 years near Memphis, one of the BBQ capitals. And so we occasionally veer from all of the lobster, clam chowder, striped bass, swordfish, etc. Thus the occasional stop here. It is one of the best values on the Cape and OMG they smoke everything on-site. Wonderful food and service.

Stopped here because we heard there was good BBQ and we go out of our way for good BBQ. Sadly though, what we found was average, mediocre New Englandized BBQ. I had the ribs which I suspect we're boiled/broiled, very little flavor on their own, and way over-sauced with a run-of-the-mill sauce. My wife had the pulled chicken which was dry as hell. I know I'm hyper critical of BBQ, but if you travel anywhere south of New England to a state that respects the style, you'll see a drastic difference. We've traveled all over New England hoping and have yet to find anything worthwhile.

Came here from a restaurants.com deal. Our server was extremely friendly, fast and upbeat. The atmosphere was OK, we were brought to a booth (which has high walls) while I did like the privacy, the wooden booths are a little uncomfortable (especially when trying to navigate with a full tummy). The ceiling is very low and has more of an "office vibe" for me, however there were some cute random trinkets on the wall (old style telephones and tin boards). The music playing was from the 50's (a bit random for the atmosphere). Prices are descent and portions are crazy good! The fried chicken was a little dry, corn bread muffins were amazing. They have an incredible cinnamon butter if you order a baked sweet potato and the homemade BBQ is delish. LOVED the "smashed" potatoes. Will go back but only with another coupon. Also - wish they had outside restaurant seating (not picnic tables).

I don't mind food seduction ... when you have a smoker on the side of the road, with that come hither aroma that wafts under the nose of my best guy and his eyes get that pork glaze stare, you had better be able to back it up sister! By far the worst bbq ribs and chicken we have ever had. Ever. We got the combo plates. We both ate about a bite each of the chicken and ribs (over $50 of course) gave each other the look, you know, the incredulous, are you tasting what I'm tasting, or in this case, "are you not tasting what I'm not tasting?" You have a smoker, you call yourself a bbq place, how do you mess that up? It is almost a gift to be able to get ribs and chicken that bland. I don't know how they did it.

My wife had the ribs and I had the pulled barbecue sampler. Both meals were excellent and we could barely finish all the food served. It had a nice homey atmosphere and the service was excellent. Highly recommended, we would most certainly return again next time we are on the Cape.

Absolute go to place on the cape for BBQ, it is awesome. Great fried chicken as well. And their steak bomb is one of the best in the region. Glad to see they are open in February.

Portions are BIG but there is a $4 splitting fee. Can't go wrong with the pulled pork sandwich, clam chowder, ribs, or lobster mac and cheese. The staff is so friendly! The owner came out to check on us and chat. They are also so accommodating; they close at 9 but served us at 8:57 anyway. Highly recommend for some quality BBQ and good vibes!

Fantastic! Took three of my residents here while we were on vacation, they were incredibly accommodating (we have a gentleman in a wheelchair), the staff was courteous and helpful and the food was delicious. Portions were huge and food was well priced. The owner came out and chatted with us to make sure everything was going smoothly. Loved it. We'll be back!

My wife and I had the 16 oz Ribeye steak, mine was with fries and my wife's was with a baked potato, both came with freshly steamed brocoly . It was the best steak we had in a while, it was tender and prepared just the way we ordered it. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We are going back there the next time we are in the area. I strongly recommend this Restaurant to anybody .

Afternoon Delight... Having spent the day hiking on Great Island, I had a hankering for something indulgent, and the smell from the smoker as I passed pulled me into the parking lot like a cartoon coyote. Kick ass Bloody Mary, a surprising fresh and not-at-all bland garden salad, and the FRIED CHICKEN! Service was superior, price was reasonable, everything was delicious. My partner had the fried scallop roll and gave it 5 stars, but back to that fried chicken....Just Do It!

This place is a great trap for tourists. The "active" smoker out front gets you excited, but the ribs leave you wishing you kept driving by. The full slab was far from fall off the bone. Any amateur BBQ chef knows enough to remove the membrane before the smoking process, guess these guys could learn a lesson or two. I don't expect much in the way of service from part time college kids, Lord knows they are watching the clock till their shift ends and the beach parties begin. The girl who served us was part of that rank and file, but could have at least smiled at us.

Great service and more food than you can eat. Fried chicken lives up to its hype. Lobster Mac and cheese was large with big chunks of claw meat. Buffalo chic Mac and cheese was a miss according to us.

So I am from the cape and lived here most of my life and always wondered why I never went there well now I know HUGE disappointment on so many levels . First off they pump this place on the radio and adds all the time so they get tons of traffic . Soon as I walk in place is so creepy tacky and the decor is gross and you feel creeped out. (But I guess I kinda expect that in the outter cape) next we finally sat down and the. Waiter we had was just very short and rude when me and my girl friend ordered are incredible over priced bbq platter and fried chicken we where told we can not share are food unless we want to be charged extra moneys and the waiter said its not feed the world day like fuck you buddy so immediately soon as we got are color less food which was a huge portion we had to share and try each other's food to break the rules the waiter immediately said you can't do that. must have been watching is like a hawk so I had ribs and brisket the brisket was chewy like a peice of rubber and had a thick syrup type sauce in excessive amount all over it which tasted premise and processed and ribs where not fall of the bone where not properly done for BBW the corn bread was dry mashed potatoes where cold my girlfriends fried chicken was like KFC or Popeyes and when we where done the price of the bill would have paid for meal at a high end fine dinning place and did I mention we didn't even order drinks so all and all of your in to over priced left than average BBQ food with a terrible customer is all ways wrong mentally for a staff and tacky smelly decor tourist trap the. This is your place other wise I would just go to many other places in that area for a fraction of the price with much better food

Some reviewers have said that the wait staff can be pretty rude. We have been here many times (8+) and have always been happy with our service. Yes, sometimes they do have a diner type attitude but until you work or spend a lot of time with seasonal tourists you will never understand why. There is usually a lot of summer help on the Cape coming from Eastern European countries and their ideas of service differ greatly from an American's. The fried chicken is absolutely the high point. It is always moist and typically hot out of the fryer. Our most recent trip though you could tell it was pulled from an already waiting pile. It was the right temperature, but not fresh out of the fryer temp. It was still delicious. The pulled pork was a little bit dry but no more than the usual smoked dryness. The atmosphere is curious. Lots of random wall stuff including a poster thanking those that switch to Phillip Morris. Certainly not luxurious by any stretch but it is not claiming to be fine dinning. It's pretty tight inside as well so strollers and high chairs could be a small challenge depending on where you are sitting. Overall this is a nice little place to try.

Three adults and two kids (ages 8 & 9) went to dinner on August 2nd - about 5:30 PM. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and quickly seated. Orders included two barbecue pulled pork sandwiches, kids hot dog/fries mac and cheese barbecue and a veggie burger. We also ordered a side of boneless chicken wings. All of the food was fresh and delicious. The veggie burger came with sweet potato fries - yummy! The waitress was attentive and efficient. The owner (unknowingly) stopped at our table to chat. He asked the two boys if they played baseball and both said yes. He came back and presented them with two used bats (now defunct) from the Montreal Expos baseball team. He used to work for them years back. Very cool and very thoughtful! The kids were thrilled. Great craft beer selection as well. Will return again next year during my annual Wellfleet vacation!

One word YUM! With KFC being one of my annual guilty pleasures, Marconi takes that pleasure and kicks it up 10 notches! This place has fabulous fried chicken, BBQ baked beans, coleslaw and smashed potatoes with gravy...so sinfully good I cannot take it and I go back every year! The only thing is sometmes the staff forgets things during take out...like they forgot our toasted garlic bread that came with our meal...very disappointing. One star off for service but the food is 4 stars for sure!

Excellent casual fare! Everything we ate was delicious, from the BBQ to the fish and chips to the fried chicken! We were a large group, so we got to try a lot of different things, and everything was very good - we especially loved the lobster dip appetizer. Also a big shout-out to our server Janine, who gave us excellent recommendations, and was especially great with our little kids!

My husband and I each had the Prime Rib. It was delicious and done to our individual liking. Very tender with a nice portion of Au Jus keeping the meat super moist. The sides were a perfect combination, smashed potatoes and peas and corn. Not fancy but very tasty and filling. We had a nice amount leftover for lunch tomorrow. The bartender was amazing, very efficient but personable at the same time and she was handling the take out counter too! (We sat at the bar which was pretty crowded) Marconi Beach Restaurant is a welcomed alternative to all the seafood options available.

Fantastic restaurant, and it keeps getting better. I've eaten there many times, with a large group at a table or my grandfather and i at the bar. Always pleasant and accomodating service. Russ and Marie's Marconi Beach restaurant has Cape Cod famous BBQ and fried chicken that makes my friend from Richmond, Virginia swear they have a southerner locked up in there making it. With the barbecue emphasis of its sign and signature smoker, its possible, but a mistake, to overlook Marconi Beach's excellent seafood-- most recently my girlfriend enjoyed the oysters which are indeed fresh from Wellfleet itself. And the big secret? Vegetarian and vegan options, always available by request, and now on the menu.

I got the cold lobster roll with a side of Mac n cheese, hubby got fried clam roll with French fries and cole slaw. The lobster roll was good but the dressing was thin and was either not mayo or was mayo mixed with something else. I prefer my lobster roll with mayo personally but it wasn't bad. My Mac n cheese was creamy and cheesy and delicious. Hubby says the clam roll was excellent, the tartar sauce was weird, and the cole slaw was some of the best he's had. Our waitress was extremely friendly (Thanks Sadie!) and we enjoyed looking at the assortment of antique telephones and cameras decorating the walls. The restaurant was very cozy and comfortable, by no means fancy. Overall we enjoyed it :)

We celebrated a birthday at Russ and Marie's Marconi Beach because of all things we were asked to find a BBQ restaurant on Cape Cod. And I am so glad we did. The BBQ items we had were great, not too salty, portions were good, sides were good and even the non-meat eater in the group was happy. The waitstaff, Kevin was great, honest with answers to or questions and Russ the owner could not have been better. I would highly recommend Marconi Beach Restaurant..and have already sent happy customers. Yes, the wait is worth it.

THE SMOKER IS A LIE (as has been pointed out). This is absolutely the most flavorless pork and ribs I've ever tasted. While waiting at the take-out window I could see the steamer and microwaves being used - which would explain the bland and watered-down taste of the pork and ribs that have never even been in the same room as a smoker. If I could assign negative stars I would. The question isn't whether or not to go, but whether or not to call the AG for deceptive business practices.

TOURIST TRAP Don't fall for the smoker. I am convinced they use this only to trap tourists like me. This is a fast food quality restaurant with fine dining prices. Skip this one!

When we passed the smoker that appeared to be roaring away on 6 as we drove home from a hot day on the beach, I made a U-turn. There is no way I was not getting in on that party. To my disappointment, the smoker appears to be more ornamental than functional, but that didn't stop me from going in. Who cares where they get the work done, as long as its good, right? The prices are a bit higher than I would have wanted at an in-town restaurant, but considering the level of hunger and the gigantic portions, it all worked out in the end. The pulled pork ($13 for a whole sandwich, cole slaw, beans and fries) was a standout, and the fish & chips ($18(?) for a gigantic fillet, fries, and cole slaw) were fantastic and fresh - definitely just-fried. Try the sweet potato fries! The beef brisket was considerably dry, though bottles of BBQ sauce are on each table. A extra large garden salad ($8 for a huge plate of mixed greens with veggies and dressing) was more than enough for 4 people to share, and I ordered it as my entree. Overwhelmingly large. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming on a hot day. I would definitely return, at least for the friendly vibes and the sandwiches. Let me know if you see anything come out of that smoker. :P

Stopped in at Marconi's last night for a late dinner....we didn't realize they were getting ready to close. We have been several times in the past but won't be returning. The waitress was nice...which was the best part of the dinner. The food shouldn't have been served. Seafood in the past was excellent not this time. The baked scallops were overcooked, tasted frozen, and had no flavor. The shrimp also overcooked. Clam Casino is supposed to be a specialty but was inedible. The hot fries were the only edible part. Sadly, the mistake cost $40+. Marconi's Beach you have lost a repeat customer. Word of of advice if you do eat here never go late....or you too may just leave the meal for the trash.

1. BF was mesmorized by the smoker and loves BBQ, so here is where we stopped. 2. Very overpriced-Apx. $23 for a BBQ plate 3. I found BBQ bland, BF enjoyed it. 4. Large portions 5. Service initially good, but then our food arrived, never saw the waiter again until the check. Eh, wanted another drink, but oh well. 6. I had the oyster stew (very rich, but quite tasty) and a lobster roll (average) 7. Prob. won't be back but was OK The End

"Don't let the sign fool you, this is an outstanding restaurant!" I had the half rack of ribs with all the fixins, every morsel was delicious. My husband got the beef & barley soup, Wellfleet oysters on the half shell and the steamed clams. All prepared perfectly! We asked about the cooker out front - it used to be what they used to smoke the foods, but no longer big enough. The real deal is out back. Since it is very casual and the inside is nice, clean but nothing fancy I would say 4 stars. (Personally I prefer not fancy, so 5 stars for the casual crowd!)

Like everyone else the smoker in front drew me in. I'm a fan of BBQ and always on the hunt for good, falloffthebone, BBQ fare..... well.... This was it.........sort-of.....kinda.... It pains me to have to give it only 3 stars but, to me, that's what it deserves. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I only got take out but as soon as I walked in I was greeted and my order was up promptly. Like that! After biting into my first bit of ribs it was clear that the smoker out front is a great marketing tool. The ribs were a solid, middle of the road, "fine". It was 22.44$ for 2 corn muffins and a full rack of the BBQ ribs. No sides. I got it that way b/c the prices for dinners were really high and I felt this was more bang for my buck. ok back to the ribs, since that's all I got!! I can't quite put my finger on it, but when I think of amazing BBQ I think of messy, BBQ sauce drenched, finger smackin' deliciousness. This wasn't that. Again, they are "fine".. but sort of the opposite of above, not much sauce, and they maintain a firmness to them, they lack juicy flavour or any real smoke-y-ness. I didn't eat anything else from there, so my review is purely on the ribs, and my review gives it a solid F I N E. Bottom line: I kept waiting for something to tip the scales... ie. a great value for the $, amazing soppy ribs, pushmeoverwithafeather sauce. s o m e t h i n g. but, alas I got "fine". off to keep my hunt for amazing BBQ going.. happy eating! Cheers!!

Had to go back for more fried chicken. Just as good as my first experience. I skipped the mashed potatoes, which I still don't care for...I tried a forkf full. The Mac and cheese was okay, nothing special. Their coleslaw was really good though, mayo based the was I like it.

Expensive? Most definitely. $14 for a BBQ sandwich is a bit much. So I'm knocking off a star for that right from the get-go. The food, I must say, was good. Definitely not the best (and definitely not worth the prices) but it satisfied. Pulled chicken and pulled brisket were juicy and flavorful. The sweet potatoes are tiny, so boo to that. And I'm told the fried chicken is nothing special whatsoever. In fact, I'm told it wasn't that great at all. I say save your money and head somewhere else unless you have a hankering for some BBQ. Just be prepared to spend north of $20 for anything other than a sandwich when all is said and done.

The smoker out front gets you prepared for what's coming... Great, affordable BBQ! Service was flawless & food was out quickly. We'll be back!

After living in the south for a while, a person tends to get a taste for good BBQ. There aren't many BBQ options on the cape, but out of all of them, Marconi's wins. The only downfall is they have one sauce option and that's it. In the south, most BBQ restaurants offer multiple sauce options and getting to try them all is half the fun! The portions here are very big and the cornbread is pretty good. All in all, a very good place to go if you are in the area. We hear their fried chicken is to die for, so we are planning on going back to try it out!

This place is hands down my favorite place to eat on the Cape, and has possibly the best meat I've tried in Massachusetts. I love the atmosphere, the staff is friendly, and the food is damn good. When friends visit the cape and ask where they should eat, this place is always at the top of my list. Highly recommended

OK ... when you're on Cape Cod, you ought to stick with the local seafood , right? Yeah, sure, but after a while, you just get a hankering for some good old southern fried chicken, or a rack of bbq'ed ribs ... and where do you go in this land swimming with ocean fare? We just finished a tub of real down-home fried chicken. Haven't had anything this good since my Grandma passed away! Cole slaw was excellent, and the price was very reasonable. I haven't tried their bbq YET ... but with the chix so good, I'll be sure to try some ribs in the next few days. ........ to be continued

Very nice beach, even in late Spring when the weather is questionable. Watch out for the bugs though! Crab watching is a treat for the kids!

This was my family's second time coming to Marconi's Beach BBQ (our first time was 3 years ago). From the moment you walk in, you smell the delicious bbq and smoked flavors that they have to offer. Absolutely delicious. The environment is very cozy, its like a hidden gem of the Cape. Not only is the food amazing but the service is great too! We definitely hit it off with our friendly waitress. She was very personable and chatted with us as much as she could while working. The owner, Russ, came over to our table and introduced himself to our family. He is one of the most genuine people I have met. He seems to really care about his customers and enjoy what he does too. He told us not to rush eating ( since they were closing soon) and even pulled up a chair and offered my parents more wine on the house. Such a great man, you can tell from the staff and the delicious food that everyone puts in their best effort. I will definitely make sure to stop here for future times in the Cape. :)

While the fried chicken is clearly a winner, we also enjoyed the BBQ pulled pork, beef brisket and the BBQ ribs. Sides Included an above average cole slaw, decent baked beans and good corn bread. We had a very pleasant waitress with a nice sense of humor who even retrieved a ball cap we accidentally left behind. If you need a break from a steady diet of seafood, you could do far worse than Marconi's.

I was looking for good pulled pork and did an internet search and found Marconi Restaurant. I picked up barbecue last night and it was a hit! Both pulled pork and chicken, plus ribs. Absolutely delicious! Well worth the drive from Barnstable.

We stopped here last week on the way back from P-Town, excited to enjoy some authentic BBQ. We put our names on the list and the four of us (my wife and I plus our two teenagers) waited outside. My wife needed to use the restroom so she went inside. The hostess, possibly one of the owners, not sure, stopped her in her tracks and grilled her on the name we had given. My wife said "Oh, my husband already gave our name, I just need to use the restroom." The hostess glared at her and said, loudly, "I NEED to know the NAME." As if my wife was trying to sneak in and use the restroom without being on the list, I guess. In any case, my daughter witnessed this as well and confirmed that the hostess was extremely rude for no real reason (maybe she was stressed). We had a quick family conference and we all agreed that we should leave and find a more customer service oriented place to eat. I went in to tell the hostess to remove us from the list and she said, annoyed, "I was JUST about to call you." I said, "well, we're going somewhere else since you were just rude to my wife." She glared at me and loudly proclaimed " I WAS NOT " . At that point it was just comical, like an SNL skit. In any case, we won't be stopping there again. CAn't comment on the food since they drove us away before we could try it.

Maybe I should give this place 5 stars- not sure. But when I want to give 5 starts I usually know it right off the bat, so Ill stick to 4. That said- GREAT BBQ place! The cooker outside- although ornimental, caught our attention and caused me to wonder how this could not be great. Well we were not let down! First off- its nice that this place is open offseason- points for that from the locals in general. Walking in- it was clean and we were greeted promply. Decore is cool- and looks like a very family friendly place. Service was well deserving of the 20% that they actually suggest in their tip % suggestions that is printed right on the bill- with options from 18% and up- I thought this was interesting being in the service industry myself- to give tip suggestions. We tipped her $5 on $25 anyways wich is over any percent they suggested anyways. For that $25 we got a sandwich and a salad. Other reviews stated that the prices were high. Darn tourists- um....its the Cape- its a Cape price and they seemed like fair prices to us. My sister got a chicken salad rollup and loved it. What she didnt love it the fact that since she wanted to swich the french fries as a side to broccoli- they upcharged her $2.00. I wonder how much it would have been if she just ordered the side- they added it right in the bill so it didnt look like they charged but they do sneek it it. I got the pulled BBQ pork salad- it was AMAZING!!!!! WE WILL GO BACK to this place- I know I will dream of it tonight and honestly- it was the best casual dining meal I have had in awhile. Im happy. You should try it.

Like many others, we were drawn in by the smell of the smoker. It didn't let us down. We got pulled pork & beef brisket sandwiches and an order of ribs. The ribs were the clear winner as far as I was concerned. The rib platter came with baked beans, cole slaw, a cornbread muffin & a sweet potato. The sweet potato with cinnamon butter was great, the baked beans were amazing. The house BBQ sauce was great too. The service was good, but because the portions are SO oversized and there's a hefty sharing charge ($7.99 - are you kidding?!) I'd recommend going around to the take-out side and ordering what you actually want. Not sure if the full menu is available over there, but we all ended up taking home half of our meals. All around really good BBQ in the land of burgers & hot dogs. Would definitely recommend!

Yuk! We stopped here on Saturday night after a day on the Cape. Never Again! Prices are very high for BBQ, $13.99 for a Pulled Pork sandwich and an extra dollar for sweet potato fries. Cole Slaw and beans on the side came in tiny plastic cups, like the ones you get as free samples in the supermarket. The coleslaw was spoiled it tasted bad! I wanted to spit it out but swallowed it anyway and then I was afraid I'd be sick. The beans tasted like they were right out of the can except that they were kind of watery. As for the pulled pork sandwich, for $14 I was expecting something very special. I was wrong again. The pork was very dry, tasteless and very hot. My guess is it was fresh out of the microwave. The sweet potato fries were not hand cut and were a little bit like cardboard, dried out. So the bill for my wife and I for two pulled pork sandwiches and two Diet Coke's came to $38.03 before the tip. It seems like Marconi Beach restaurant is all about bilking tourists. Too bad, we go to the Cape quite often and I enjoy good barbecue, but we will never go here again.

Wish I'd gone for the pulled pork. We pick the sliced beef brisket and sliced pork (port butt aka ham). The beef was okay, the pork slices were lunch meat thin and tasted off. The baked beans and slaw were good. Just not the best bbq I've had.

Upon walking in i waited at the door to be seated for several minutes. There was nobody else waiting and it was not busy. There was just no hostess there. The smell outside really got our attention and my wife and I have a smokehouse near our home that we love so we thought we would give this one a try. Once we were seated my wife ordered a full rack of ribs. I was not that hungry so I was going to try a piece or two of hers. The waitress was super nice and it is not her fault but the restaurant policy charges 7.99 extra if you were sharing. 7.99 on top of the older 23 dollar price for the ribs?!?! That is a little excessive. Instead of swallowing the 7.99 charge to share a bite or two off my wife's plate I ordered 2 skewers of bacon wrapped scallops. They were nothing special and in my opinion were overpriced. We ended up just getting a to go box and leaving as we weren't that impressed with the ribs either and didn't want to feel like we were doing something wrong if I ate some of her food. I thought it would be nice to try some new places in the area other than the normal Arnolds and Cooks trips that I am accustomed to. After that experience I think i will stick to the restaurants with the big lines out the door. The lines are there for a reason.

We were heading back from an overcast morning/afternoon at the weekly flea market when we passed by the Marconi Beach Restaurant. The smell from the smoker in front of the restaurant certainly made our mouths water. We were very impressed with the quality of the food and the quantity - at least from the lunch menu - and would definitely go back. We ordered the Bar-B-Q Sandwiches. My wife ordered the pulled pork, and I ordered the brisket. The service was good, our server very attentive and knowledgeable. And the food was excellent. While it is the Cape, better known for seafood than barbecue, finding a gem like the Marconi Beach was a delight. We will be back!

Finally got to check out this place after two years of driving past that delicious smelling smoker out front. There were 5 of us, one on crutches after surgery, we were seated right away in the bar area that was easily accessible. The waitress was friendly and fun and the place lively for a Monday night. as for the food. It was great. We had ribs, pulled and slice bbq which all got thumbs way up. The sides were also very good-sweet potato fries, beans and slaw.

EXCELLENT FRIED CHICKEN! WISH I COULD SAY THE SAME FOR THE BBQ! So, since this IS a BBQ joint I have to go with 2 stars only, even though the chicken rates 4. I admit it. I'm a bit of a BBQ snob. IMHO, ribs should be able to stand on their own and NOT be smothered in sauce, especially if the sauce itself isn't anything special. Would I order them again? Maybe, but I'd be sure to say "sauce on the side." Brisket was as I suspected, nothing like what I was accustomed to after living in Texas for 8 years. Nuff said about the BBQ. Let's talk chicken! The fried chicken was perfect. Crispy, tasty and piping hot. Puts the Colonel to shame!! Actually, we drove from PTown back to Wellfleet a second time JUST for the fried chicken. All sides sampled were just average. The best one were the baked sweet potato & sweet potato fries. Come to think of it... I probably won't try the BBQ again. I already know the chicken is really good.... why take the risk?

If you are looking at a long wait, ask to sit at the bar. For some reason, it isn't really crowded, even though they have a great tap line. Try the shredded brisket sandwich, it was good. Sweetie had the sliced brisket sandwich, and it was entirely ginormous. She ate every morsel, and was making yummy noises The folks next to us ordered off the raw bar menu, and were absolutlely kvelling. I know nothing from raw seafood, but these guys were very vocal in their praise, so I'm noting it.

Went in with a group of 10 and we all loved our meals. Can be crowded so expect to wait. They have a LARGE bar that seats about 20 so if you don't mind you can eat there. Can highly recommend the seafood diablo and the lobster pie. Also had a cup of the BBQ stew which was delicious.

Stopped for a late dinner with three young children on a Thursday night. We were seated right away and the waitstaff was over immediately. Nice selection for kids meals - more choices than most places offer. I had the pulled BBQ 3Way - a bit of pulled chicken, pork, and beef brisket with all the fixings. Chicken was definitely the best of the three, but if I'd had any of them on their own I would have thought they were all fantastic. Tender and nice, sweet flavor. Fries and bread were standard, but the beans and cole slaw were well done (and I'm not usually a fan of either!). Husband really enjoyed the steamer clams - said they were well prepared and very tender. Portions of everything were definitely generous! Waitstaff was attentive with being overbearing and very friendly with the kids. And when the couple at the next table over started a very long, very berating conversation with their (fully grown) son, the waitstaff wanted to know if we were at all uncomfortable because they were willing to either move us or the other family. We'd definitely go back.

It should be 1 star only...but 2 stars due to our AWESOME bartender. I happened to meet the ONLY other Philadelphia Eagles fan, who just happened to be our bartender, Barbara. Tried the Cape Cod Beer IPA, cold & hoppy. Also had the chili cheese fries (hey, it's football season, don't judge). The fries were "ok" but it had wayyy too much bland chili on it. The place was slow, food was mediocre, but service was great!

This place has THE BEST Fried Chicken I have ever had on Cape Cod and Beyond! In recent years the only fried chicken on restauant menus seems to be boneless, skinless, chicken breast (Other than KFC, but I don't consider FKC a real restaurant). Marconi Beach Restaurant serves bone-in Legs, Thighs, and Breasts with skin - to me thats fried chicken! My only complaint is that they are not open year round!

I'm giving this place only two stars, even though I did enjoy the food there. Stick to the BBQ, it's very good and tasty. I liked the sauce, and the ribs were tender and delicious. So why the two stars? The hostesss couldn't have more rude if she was trying. In fact, I think she hates people in general. When we arrived, we were told there would be a wait, and we could go to the bar for beers. While ordering our beers, the hostess came back and forth several times, each time practically pushing us out of the way in as rude a way as possible. No "excuse me." Then we were seated at a table by someone other than the hostess, and there was one too few chairs for our party. We asked the waitress for an additional chair, and she went and got the hostess who told us that there was "no way we could put a chair at the end of the table!" We were not asking for a chair at the end of the table, just one ajacent to the place setting at the middle of the table that was chair-less. Meanwhile I was standing while the rest of my party was sitting, waiting for an additional chair, which eventually showed up with a huff from the hostess. Ugh. Fortunately our waiter was great...very attentive and friendly, but it hardly made up for the rudeness of the hostess! If you're despirate for BBQ on the Cape, this place has decent food, but don't expect great service.

Perhaps driving by Marconi Beach Restaurant and having the delicious smell of smoked pork fill my nostrils for 3 days before visiting set my expectations too high or perhaps I visited too early in the day but I was a bit underwhelmed with the experience. We ordered takeout for a group of people and we got fried chicken, pulled pork, and ribs. To start with, the chicken was actually pretty darned good. It was nicely fried, crispy, and had a good taste. The ribs on the other hand were tender but the sauce seemed to be slathered on at the end instead of cooking along with the ribs. This very possibly could be because it was noon and not evening when the ribs had longer to cook. Finally, the pulled pork was a bit bland for my taste. Despite the misstep, I would like to think that going to Marconi later in the day could yield a better experience because I can't imagine that a place that smells so good could regularly be that far from the mark.

Expensive! Great tasting food. Not Texas BBQ, but good. If the price were a little lower it would have received another star.

I just barely made this 3 stars. The food is ok, really nothing special. I ordered the fried chicken, my daughter got a pulled pork sammie. While I found the chicken to be fried properly and moist, I'd be hard pressed to find any sort of seasoning done to it. I tried some of the pulled pork, just the meat and would have been better off going outside by the smoker. No discernible smoke flavor, though my daughter really liked the sauce. Her's came with fries- frozen kind. My sides of beans, slaw and corn bread muffin were inoffensive, standard fare. Prices are stupid, come on- 13.99 for a pulled pork sandwich, fries and little plastic cup sides w/beans & slaw? The fried chicken is probably the best deal at 15-16 bucks for 4 pieces and the lil sides.

Went with a large group and they handled us expertly! They actually did separate tabs for 14 of us! I don't know how our server, Richie, kept it straight, but he did without a single mistake. I had the pulled pork and it was just as good as any I've had in the south. Everyone else was pleased with their food which ranged from steak to seafood. Desserts were predictable. Cocktails were extraordinarily weak, wouldn't reccomend. Prices are about right for a tourist town.

I have dined at this restaurant many times over the past ten years. The restaurant is very clean and the wait staff has been nothing short of kind and attentive. I have had many dishes such as fried chicken, chicken salad roll up, fish n' chips and most recently the pulled pork platter. I have never been disappointed in the food. The prices are competitive for Cape Cod and having a $13 pulled pork plate (very large serving) on the cape is not out of the ordinary to me. Most dinner meals on the cape average between $12 and $30 depending on location and item. My husband and I always stop here as he is a huge BBQ fan and the restaurant is close to where we stay. I would recommend to anybody in the area to stop in.

Last year, my family and I went to Marconi Beach for dinner. I admit we got there a little on the later side, but the restaurant was still open, and there were still people there eating. We sat down and the waitress made is clear that she was in a hurry to get out of there. Every time one of us told her our order, she had to make some comment like "oh, that takes a long time" or "are you sure you want that? you're going to have to wait". We finally got our food and she made sure to rush us through our meal. I had hoped that was an isolated experience, being that we had been there before and it wasn't a bad experience. This year we went back. There were 9 of us... 7 adults and 2 children in high chairs. She hostess kept hemming and hawing while she was looking for a table for us. "oh, well, I can't put you at this table. I can put you at this table... no, wait, I can't". There are certain things people don't need to know. A hostess's inability to seat a party is not something I need to know. If they couldn't seat us, she should have just told me. Finally, after complaining to me about how hard it would be to seat us, she told me it would be about a 30 to 45 minute wait. We finally sat down an hour later, not without the hostess being obnoxious to us first, of course. Don't even bother going there. The food isn't that fantastic... even if it was, the service would completely kill it. Hopefully, an owner or something reads these reviews and figures out that their staff needs a MAJOR overhaul.

Awful. The best thing about this place was the less than the promised wait to be seated which was only 15 minutes instead of the promised 30. Server was slow and it took 40 mins to get the two appetizers and over one hour to get our entree from the time we ordered... And our order had 4 uncomplicated kids meals and two adult 3-way BBQ dishes. The BBQ meats were flavorless and watery - hard to mess up BBQ but they did it. Needed to add hot sauces to make them edible. Slow service and below average food will yield no return trip for this guy. Too bad. BBQ is supposed to be good vacation food.

Stopped in here for an after Marconi Beach late lunch/early dinner. Apparently the magic time is before 5 which is when the lines start for a table. We got there earlier and were seated immediately. The food is on the pricey side and if my memory serves me right there is a sharing fee so you won't get away with ordering one big platter for two or three. Both boyfriend and I had ribs which were falling off the bone good. The sides were good too. I don't remember there being any memorable deserts and there was no room for them anyway. The service was ok. No complaints from me. I'd send people to eat here.

Good, but not "award winning" ribs. Kids meals ok. Adult Marconi ice tea an expensive waste of money. Go if you're hungry, not if you're looking for anything more.

I am a ribologist and had to leave over half my ribs on the plate. I ordered a chicken and rib combo. The ribs have had to been re cooked at least 3 times. the meat on the edges was dried and hard and was not tasty. Only one bottle of sauce on the table (no choices) the chicken looked like a fiberglass model of a chicken. The skin was so hard you had to peel it away to get to the dry chicken below. Not a good experience. I was fooled by the smoking barbeque out in the street in front of the restaurant which was a good gimmick but had nothing to do with the food inside the place. The only place in P town that was worth every penny and left you wanting to come back was the Lobster pot in the village of P town.

We went here not expecting much (needed a quick bite before the drive-in) and were pleasantly surprised. There was a bit of a wait, but once we were seated the service was fast and friendly. I got the pulled-chicken sandwich, my companion the pulled pork. Both were delicious. Portions were generous, fries, slaw and baked beans were great, and the buns the meat was served on was so good I actually ate it (instead of quasi-dieting and omitting the carbs). For dessert we got the chocolate cake which was excellent. It's good for kids too. My 1.5 yr old got the mac & cheese. It was ok, but she's less fussy than I am. That's all she will eat and I was grateful it was on the menu. i'm a huge fan of Blue Ribbon BBQ in Boston and still think that is better, but this place is definitely worth going to, especially if you want a satisfying meal before the movie.

There's not much choice for fried chicken on the Cape, so we were thrilled to find this place. We did take out and got the 8 piece bucket with cole slaw, bbq beans and mac and cheese. The chicken was tasty! Breading salty and crunchy, just like you want it. The best part for me was the sides. The cole slaw is the best! Super crunchy, not too wet, not too dry. The bbq beans were awesome - full of flavor. The mac and cheese was rich and moist. We really enjoyed the meal and look forward to trying it again. I've heard the restaurant gets crowded. I'm not surprised as there's not a ton of restaurants on the outer Cape and most of them are seafood, so this place probably gets a lot of business.

It looks and smells great with the smoker outside, but don't let that fool you. The bbq is mediocre with bland flavoring. The beans had no flavor at all. The service is bad and extremely forgetful of the basics, such as bringing over drinks. The prices are just not worth it either. If you are driving down Rte 6, skip this place.

Russ and Maries Marconi Beach BBQ Restaurant claims to be the best BBQ on the Cape but that's a bit like claiming to be the best Jewish Deli in Provincetown. I stopped in for dinner because I saw a couple old school smokers in the front yard cooking away. I got there at about 8:30 and after feeling a bit rushed by the waitress (who other than that was very sweet) I realized they close at 9pm (sort of unusual for a restaurant that has a large connected bar and is situated in a popular area of Cape Cod in the height of tourist season). The menu offerings and prices are pretty good (especially on the beer and dessert prices). The food just wasn't that good. The baked sweet potato was way overcooked and was so watery that I'm wondering if they cooked it in water; the meals come with a garlic bread stick (very weird combo) and you have to pay extra for corn bread; the pulled pork was pretty mediocre; and the ribs fell completely off the bone (which it's actually not suppose to do in good BBQ) so I had to eat them with a fork because it was nearly impossible to pick up and eat normally. The ribs appeared to have a smoke ring but there was no smoky flavor to be found. For dessert I went with the Boston cream pie. Instead of having custard between two layers of cake and topped with a chocolate ganache (as it's suppose to be and as was pictured on the dessert menu), it was custard sitting below a layer of cake with chocolate frosting on top. It was moist and tasty but just not a real Boston cream pie. Go if you want ok food, a cheap drink or dessert, or just something other than seafood but don't expect great BBQ.

Called ahead to get fried chicken, which they prominently advertise on a sign by Route 6. They said 20 minutes. Arrived 20 minutes later, no chicken. Ten more minutes later, the chicken was ready. It was freshly made. :) But it also had freezer burn. Edible, but not great. The baked beans were good.

4.5 stars. Two fundamental truths in my family: we love Cape Cod and we love to eat. Until recently, a perfect vacation meal for our family would involve clam chowder, fish/lobster and a dipped soft serve cone from PJ's down the street (still highly recommended). Little did we know that some of the best southern fried chicken, ribs and mashed potatoes could be found on the peninsula where seafood is king! The menu has several offerings, but there is really no reason to look further than the bottom of the front inside page. The fried chicken platter ($14) is an incredible deal. You get four pieces of perfectly crispy fried goodness with the right amount of southern spices served along with a hearty scoop of buttery "skin-in" mashed potatoes with gravy, texas garlic toast, beans and cole slaw. The food comes out within minutes and the service is friendly. Our waitress told us she couldn't wait for her shift to end so she could have some chicken. If you live, go on vacation or are just passing through Wellfleet, Marconi Beach Restaurant is definitely worth a stop for some belly busting, belt-buckle loosening barbecue goodness.

After passing this place - and seeing the outdoor smoker and craving good bbq - time after time during our yearly Cape trip - we finally decided to stop in. Ultimately - this place was a disappointment - and one of the low points of our Cape trip! I'll start with the service: We got there before any potential dinner rush (before 5 pm) and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly enough. We ordered an appetizer (buffalo wings) and our meal at the same time. Literally 5 minutes later - before we even get our drinks - the waitress comes out with our dinner. I asked her what happened to our appetizer - and she apologized for forgetting to place "that part of the order". Also - my wife had requested (for an extra charge) - a piece of corn bread with her meal...Our waitress had no recollection of that whatsoever. When reminded - she quickly brought it out and apologized once again. The next part of the review might sound strange but it's true. We typically like good service when we dine out - but this place took it to an extreme - making it a really bad experience. From the beginning of the meal - roughly every 10 seconds - someone would come over to clean our table. My wife put down her half drank glass of wine for a second and one of waitresses took it. My wife literally had to chase her to get it back. I still had food on my plate - I look down and they cleared my plate. Of course - they didn't ask - they just took it. It was almost comical. I felt like they were giving us hints to 'get the heck out'. At one point - one of the staffers came over to our table - literally took the glass of soda out of my hands (which I was just finishing) - and apologized for constantly being at our table all the time. The food: I've had real bbq. Believe me, this isn't real bbq. My wife's chicken was extremely dry! My rack of ribs - quite dry as well though I did enjoy their homemade bbq sauce (which is given to you in squeezable ketchup bottles) With so many great places to dine - I'd pass this one by

Horrible service by waiters and manager. Extremely rude, staff, food was cold and tasteless. Long wait thats not worth it. I strongly recommend not going here. I hardly ever post reviews but i would hate to see someone else go threw what I did.

They need a drink menu, people like that by the beach. Nice slection of beers, lots of local brews, so not a bad place for a drink. We constantly overheard staff members complaining, very unprofessional. Clam chowder tasted funny, lobster bisque was better but pricey. I had very overcooked salmon and never got the salad that was supposed to come with my overpriced meal. My hysband ordered bbq ribs - which were dry - and bbq chicken - which was also dry. The bbq sauce...well my husband liked it, there just wasn't enough of it - i thought it didn't have enough oomph but i like that kind of thing to be spicy (which is why i don't order bbq very often). I don't reccomend it except to sit at the bar for a beer.

After spending a day at the oysterfest - we felt we weren't completely satisfied yet so we went here because they have a huge signs offering 7 ways oysters. When we sat down the server immediately ask us what we want to drink like I know what's on their beer & wine menu. They have an extensive beer & wine menu but when I put in my order - she said there is only 2 kind of white wine left and a lot of the beer we wanted to try - they don't have it either...Since it was oysterfest they have a special oysterfest menu, i ordered the oyster rockefeller & oyster casino. Both were overcooked and you can hardly find the oyster meat in the shell...since they were well-known for their BBQ - we decide to order some ribs... the server came back and ask us if we want to go...like the other reviews I feel the waitress was a bit rude since from the beginning...she really got the attitude...service really matters to me...no matter how good their food are...if they don't improve their service, they will loose out from it...so I know from now on...I'm just going to order take-out because I'm probably going to be much happier eating their food somewhere else and I don't have to deal with the look on the face to make me unhappy...

Food wise, this pace was very good. One can actually get tired of seafood and the cape is inundated with tons of seafood restaurants, so this was a nice change. The food was delicious. Small bit of a wait, but nothing ridiculous. A smoker out in front (may just be a prop for all I know) and a take-out and take-out seating area just off the side. The portions were good and selections plentiful. If I were to knock one item, it's the mixed drinks. I had 2 beers, and my wife had a martini. The martini itself was good, but it was served in what I would classify as a big cousin of a shot glass. In other words, a fairly small glass. A look around and other "drinks" were in equally small glasses. In relation to the portion sizes, the drinks, especially a $7 mixed drink, should be in glasses proportioned to their food. Nothing to fret, if you just want food. Great place. If you're going just for drinks, maybe pick somewhere else or get this place to buy adult size glasses. Cheers.

No idea what the problem is with these grumpy reviews. You're on the Cape, not the Barbecue Belt! Things are a bit more pricey at all of the area restaurants. Our family of five just had a wonderful dinner. Three of us had BBQ, one fried chicken, one grilled salmon. All dinners were better than expected, service was great, drinks from the bar very good. This was a terrific break from seafood. It should be on anyone's list for a week on the Cape.

I really don't get the reviews????? I think the prices are really reasonable especially when I find it nearly impossible to finish and I am a very good eater . I got the fried chicken and I had to put the pieces on another plate to get to the fries!!! I didn't eat the Cole slaw as I am just not a fan. I had baked beans along with sweet potato fies. Only issue was the garlic toast; needed to be cooked more. Folks- get the crow bar out to loosen up the pockets!!!!!!!

Terrible and over priced. Food arrived luke warm, 5 minutes after ordering.

This is my favorite restaurant on the Cape. It's real Southern BarBBQ. From the road, come aromas of smokey Oak and apple. Get a picnic lunch to eat on the beach. I got the pulled pork platter, which came with crispy coleslaw, garlic toast and sweet potatoes. The BBQ sauce is just the right combo of sweetness and tang, a taste of summertime, for certain.

I'm from Virginia, and have had a great deal of amazing Southern Barbecue. Then I moved up to Boston and, well, I was sad. I love the northeast but will always miss proper southern barbecue. I found some solace in Redbones in Somerville, their barbecue is the best around the city, but, it's a far cry from the barbecue I'm used to. While visiting my girlfriends brother and catching a giant tuna, we got hungry and visited Marconi's. In short, it was amazing. From the Buffalo Mac 'n Cheese to the Ribs and Chicken dish, it was excellent. The portions were quite large, which was fine with us because it gave us lunch for the next day, and dinner, and lunch the day after that. The ribs were smokey, very smokey, the kind of smokey that comes from sitting in the put for hours, but they weren't dry, they were perfect. The Chicken was astounding, not too greasy, and certainly not dry. The only bad dish served was the Filet Mignon, which just wasn't great, but, i didn't order it, so i won't hold it against them. Overall it was a great meal well worth the 30 minute wait.

This looks from the outside - and the inside - like your basic cheesy route 6 joint. It IS a cheesy route 6 joint but it's special anyway. The bbq is really bbq, and even if it's not going to win any bbq contests it's still pretty good. The wait staff is very friendly and very accommodating - we had 25 minutes to eat lunch and make a movie, and we made our movie (ratatouille).

We really like their beef and pork, and the portions are very generous.

We went here a few years ago for some take out and loved what we had that we went back the following week for lunch. The service is great, the smell from the smokers is true BBQ and the food is GOOD!
(4)ryan c.
Simply put this is the only place to get BBQ in town and its not too shabby. Two complaints first like everywhere else its a little pricey for what you get and #2 for some reason they simply will not let you order a burger for take out, why? In the end its welcome break from seafood blag that permeates the town.
(4)Steve K.
(5)Dan S.
(2)Dan N.
(3)David D.
(3)dMitri D.
(4)Lisa N.
And then so turned off by the guy puffing on his cigarette as he tends to the food and adds some nicotine smoke. ;)
(3)John X.
(3)Michael C.
(5)Wayne B.
(5)christine f.
Delicious BBQ. Ordered takeout and brought to beach. Fried chicken, ribs, and pulled pork all tasty! Also our family tried and enjoyed the Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and coleslaw. Reasonably priced too.
(4)Joe B.
(3)Emerald R.
(5)Michael S.
BBQ was great. My daughter had the ribs and loved them. The BBQ stew was amazing. I would definitely recommend it as a post beach stopover.
(4)Steven M.
(2)Jessica F.
This is ok. Not many BBQ places in the area, so it is a nice change, but not my favorite BBQ place ever.
(4)Hunter Y.
Awesome place, you get a TON of food for your money. The lobster roll had the freshest lobster, the cod sandwich had the freshest cod. Definitely a place to stop by on your way to/from P-town! And the fries are the best fries ever!
(5)Paul G.
Amazing... Lots of great food. Very fresh seafood. Being a sushi aficionado the seared tuna appetizer was amazing. The Wasabi was incredibly with the seared tuna. Highly recommended. Very large portions and great quality. Excellent variety of foods. Smoked meats and seafood.
(5)John A.
Great food , best fish on the Cape! We eat here every time we come on vacation and have always been happy with the food and service.
(5)Jessica H.
(4)John S.
(3)Laine S.
(4)J M.
When you go ask Gus. Try the pulled dork. Fried chicken is really good. Steak Bomb is great too
(4)Carol N.
Really good. Had the Pappadelle with lobster and roasted corn special, my daughter had the Shrimp and pasta. Came with big Caesar salads, hot crusty bread and the server hand shaved Parmesan at the table. Nice dining rooms, quite unlike a lot of places up here.
(4)Michael M.
We decided to get take out for 20 people for my 50th birthday. Best decision we could have made. Everything was perfect, juicy and hot. Everybody raved about the brisket, ribs, fried chicken, beans, cole slaw and corn bread. Highly recommend going or taking out.
(5)Mike B.
(5)Max S.
(5)Tony C.
Every single thing we had off the menu was off the hook ! Great fresh seafood ! The BBQ was perfectly smoked, tender, full of flavor. Friendly and smiling staff. Def recommend this place !
(5)Erin C.
(4)Jackson Z.
Very tasty.
(4)Valerie F.
(5)Dan M.
Absolutely!
(4)Bruce L.
(4)Adam C.
(2)Catarina C.
(3)Pam C.
(1)Steve R.
My wife had the ribs and I had the pulled barbecue sampler. Both meals were excellent and we could barely finish all the food served. It had a nice homey atmosphere and the service was excellent. Highly recommended, we would most certainly return again next time we are on the Cape.
(5)Donna C.
Absolute go to place on the cape for BBQ, it is awesome. Great fried chicken as well. And their steak bomb is one of the best in the region. Glad to see they are open in February.
(5)Alex S.
(5)Katie D.
(4)Thomas B.
(4)Jose C.
(4)Brian K.
(2)Seth G.
Great service and more food than you can eat. Fried chicken lives up to its hype. Lobster Mac and cheese was large with big chunks of claw meat. Buffalo chic Mac and cheese was a miss according to us.
(4)Nick C.
(1)Stephen S.
(4)Vinnie P.
Food was great. Found it to be perfect for lunch. Portions were big and kept us full till dinner. Service was also friendly. Would definitely go back
(4)Suzanne D.
(5)Marleena C.
(3)Katherine R.
(5)Fish C.
Combo Plate was enough for two, but add some ribs and you have enough for lunch the next day!! Great food and our server Angela was attentive and very nice!
(5)Lara B.
Got there before 8pm (their closing time) wouldn't serve us =not happy. We drove far to get here. Never again!
(1)Lynne B.
(4)Benjamin M.
(5)Alysha C.
(4)Carlos C.
Really good BBQ. Get a mixed plate and try it all. It's all good!
(5)Marcia F.
(4)Robert M.

(4)Shel D.

(4)Andrew R.
(3)Lisa K.
The smoker out front gets you prepared for what's coming... Great, affordable BBQ! Service was flawless & food was out quickly. We'll be back!
(4)Lisa P.
(4)Liz B.
(5)Gary M.
OK ... when you're on Cape Cod, you ought to stick with the local seafood , right?

(5)Marianne G.
(4)Suzy B.

(4)Sarah G.
Didn't get to try the food bc the waiter was so rude that we decided to leave before we could place an order.
(1)Colleen L.

(4)Michele H.
(4)Deb J.
(2)Kerri O.
(4)Jack R.

(4)Cynthia M.
(2)Sandy M.
(5)Mark N.
(2)Josh M.
(2)Jason P.
Expensive! Great tasting food. Not Texas BBQ, but good. If the price were a little lower it would have received another star.
(3)Steven L.
(3)Mary T.
(4)Bella S.
(4)Laura C.
Sweet potato with cinnamon butter is outstanding! We also enjoyed the Marconi chicken and the pulled pork sandwich. Make sure you're hungry, portions are big!
(4)Beth F.
(1)Jim P.
(1)Dina V.
(3)Steven S.
Good, but not "award winning" ribs. Kids meals ok. Adult Marconi ice tea an expensive waste of money. Go if you're hungry, not if you're looking for anything more.
(3)Joseph S.
(2)Laura D.
(4)Hannah C.
(5)Lynne G.
great bbq and friendly efficient service...
(5)Brad D.

Yummy BBQ joint on Route 6 in Wellfleet. Had nice meal and good time here.
(4)Matt E.
