Ive been to the Dream Diner 3 times now at the suggest of an 80 year old customer of mine. The wife and I LOVE diner breffix so we make it a regular thing as we can... Ive since met the owner Marybeth (who is wonderful) both there as well as in Market Basket sharing 'spread cheer to the local commerce' duties with me. Ive also met her aunt Marybeth (yes same name) who owns the owl diner in Lowell and is also wonderful... Yesterday our 3rd visit and my birthday was as exceptional as always... But THIS time when the waitresses (Dorothy and Bridgette?) found out it was my birthday they *insisted* i play along with their rendition of singing happy birthday which consists of wearing a birthday cake hat and running around the restaurant high-fiving customers as they sing to you. Being a goof ball by nature i was more than obliged to do so as well as do my own version of dancing.... Id have gone another round if they could have kept up... The Dream Diner is a great place. Wonderful people thatmake you feel like family and its a big deal you come there. To the 'haters' on here?... - if a restaurant has a wait, while frustrating when youre hungry it means youre in for a treat... People like it there - as far as kids serving/helping? As i mentioned 1) diners are a family thing for these folks 2) i started my first job washing dishes and bus'ing tables in a family restaurant when i was 13... To this DAY some of my fondest memories and set the pace for my life long willingness to work hard for my money. Relax about the legalities folks.... Love living 'The Dream'! Keep it up Marybeths and co.!!!

Drove by here all the time and figured I would give it a try. What I should of done was keep on driving. First of all the music in here is very loud, it is the honor system for waiting to be seated, the waiting area is small just like the diner. I was here for breakfast. Even though they have a wide variety of omelets to choose from it is your typical menu for breakfast. The staff is prompt and friendly and the decor is 50/60's style. Staff comes around and asks you if you want a fill up of coffee, can take away dirty dishes, want anything else; and this was a sunday... But I just was not overly impressed by the food. I will give this place another try but I will not be in any rush to be heading back there anytime soon...

My mother wanted to try a place we have never tried before. So we ended up here! So glad we tried it. First-ambience: Betty Boop lovers....you need to visit! Old school drive-ins meets old style cartoons! My mothers era so she loved it! Second-service: Our waitress was the mother of the owner. She was a riot! Scoot over so she can sit while she takes your order...love it! Felt like family! Nothing on our order was missed. Coffee was refilled at the last sip. She was friendly - and the way she moves to keep up at her 'young' age us to be commended. Lastly-quality: more than I can eat but I am not a big breakfast person. Omelet cooked perfect...home fries tasty-rye bread with melted butter was fresh and delish. You might walk in and be confused...I was. Small-cramped but very old school diner with great fresh food. Service was timely and you don't have to wait for a table-even though initially you think you will have to. Only downfall was one stall bathroom and it kept getting clogged. Might be an off day and no time to permanently fix at the moment-I will return and hopefully this one critique will be resolved. Try it! Doubt you will be disappointed!!

One word perfectly describes this place, CHAOS. I hate to write bad reviews online, but there was no suggestion box at this restaurant and this is the only way to hopefully get in contact with the owners. My husband and I wanted to try a new diner, so we found this place which is around the corner from our home. My first impression was that it was tiny, the whole restaurant looked no bigger than our living room. We had to wait a solid 40 minutes to be seated for breakfast. There was no room to even wait, I felt like everyone standing in line was nearly on top of the guests eating which made everyone in line feel uneasy. While waiting in line, servers kept bumping into us, there was no host to seat us. You had to wait for a table to open and seat yourself. This is clearly a family run business. We saw little girls, no older than 10, running food and acting as hosts which was cute, but not sure their level of experience was helpful, nor legal. Our server was far too busy to give us any attention or ask how our meal was. The food was very mediocre but was by far the best part of the experience. This restaurant belongs on 'Kitchen Nightmares'. Too bad that show is no longer on the air because Gordon Ramsey would have shut this place down. I know sometimes businesses have tough days. Working in the food industry for a few years in my youth, I understand how dinner rushes can really slow things down. But the problem here was a fundamental issue. Small diner + lack of service = total chaos. What was really annoying is they allow you to pay with credit card, however they only accept cash tips. So I had to drive to an ATM to get cash to leave a tip. To the owner - the year is 2015, paying with credit cards is not new, nor is leaving tips on credit cards... My best guess why they do this is for the lack of experience in book keeping, but for the guests it's a massive inconvenience and it's reason enough not to return again. There is a clear demand for a diner in the area, however given the demand this diner falls flat on its face. There were literally more people waiting to be seated than there were sitting and eating. Sorry, your restaurant needs massive improvement. Until then, there are better options a few miles down the road.

Dream Diner is the best! Dorene is a living doll. So friendly and attentive. Food was amazing, especially the sweet potato pancakes with bananas. Delicious!

Loved the pastrami eggs Benedict!!! Food was great, the atmosphere was fun and just the right amount of old-school diner kitschy. The waitresses were sweet and very attentive. They all stopped by the table to top off coffee and check in and just take care of us. Good coffee too! Very glad a local recommend it.

First off let me say my kids enjoyed their meals. My son had the Texas toast french toast and my daughter had a hamburger and fries. I on the other hand did not enjoy my meal at all. I ordered a sausage, cheese and tomato omelette with home fries, corned beef hash and wheat toast. The eggs where very very thin. reminded me of the eggs I had in basic training for the Army. The home fries were not my favorite. Very soft and buttery. I prefer a bit of a crunch to them. Maybe keep them on the grill a bit longer and brown them next time. The toast was a bit weird as I go the distinct hint of cinnamon on them. Kind of threw me off a bit. I did very much enjoy the waitress we had and the staff. very fun place with lots of regulars. I will go again but will try a different food

Not going back. We have been to Dream Diner many times over the years and it's always been okay -- not great, not bad. The decor is cute and fun (retro 50'/60s) but the food has always been just OK (it's right up the street so convenient for us) Today we had the day off and decided to treat ourselves to breakfast and we had a disappointing meal. There was only one other table occupied, but it took a while for the waitress to come over since she was engrossed in a conversation with someone at the counter - so engrossed that she was still talking to him as she dropped off the menus, pausing for a moment to ask if we wanted coffee. As we waited for our order (and waited and waited) another waitress was coughing her head off all over the restaurant (and NOT covering her mouth -- DISGUSTING!) When we got more coffee, the cream was totally curdled (GROSS) and we were told that the ice machine was broken. When the food finally came it was OK, but between the coughing and the curdled cream we were almost afraid to eat it. The waitress never came back to check on us and I had to give her the evil eye to get her to come back with the check. So that was it -- there are other breakfast places nearby and we will be going there from now on. If you really want a great breakfast, fresh vegetables and a very funky decor/vibe, go to Joey's in Amherst (Route 101A)

Didn't even get a chance to try the food here. Yes, it's Memorial Day and we understand the shorter hours but we got there at 11:45 and called from the parking lot because we had seen a group of people walking up and a woman on the inside banging on the window trying to get their attention. The woman answered the phone and said "we just closed" then hung up before I could even say thank you. I know what it's like to be closed and have people still coming in, but customer service standards dictate that you be pleasing, whether you want to or not. We ended up at Suzie's 10 minutes down the road, which was pretty fantastic. So I guess the point is, I won't be attempting a return to the Dream Diner, because who needs that place.

I have been here a few times. I've had "The Dream," which is a BIG breakfast that is very good. I LOVE the eggs benedict, but the eggs Florentine is my favorite. Their eggs are perfectly poached and the Hollandaise sauce is spectacular. The service is good as well. They are always busy, but it gets very crowded on weekends. They will serve you coffee while you are waiting for a seat. I really want to try the lunch menu, so I will have to go back!

An OK diner that is unfathomably busy. Really. Stay away during breakfast prime time. Their food is good basic diner style food. They always serve breakfast, and they also do lunch. Not exciting, but reasonable. Oddly, while they take credit cards for the food, tips are cash only. The place tries hard to have an authentic diner look and feel. It is clean. You will not be allowed to linger when they are busy- which is most of the time.

First visit. Not planning a return. It's a funky little place, pleasantly decorated with 60's vintage decor and playing same vintage music. Staff was welcoming and friendly. It's the type of place you'd like to want to come back to and be a regular. Unfortunately neither service nor food encoraged that for us. Despite the place being only maybe 2/3 full, it took around 25 minutes after ordering for a sandwich, burger, and fries to be delivered. My wife pronounced her chicken salad sandwich as pretty tasteless. My hand-made burger was extremely generous but also so greasy it completely soaked through the bottom half of the bun and could only be eaten with knife and fork. Our bill has to be corrected. And as others have noted, there's the bizarre inconvenience of needing to fish for cash to leave a tip even if you're paying by credit card.

Not impressed. We arrived and sat down. It was myself, my husband, 4 yr old and newborn. We had 3 different waitresses ask us about drinks. After getting our drinks a different waitress got our orders. Once they arrived no one came by after that to ask about more coffee, water, milk nothing. It was close to closing time so I suppose they just wanted to leave and therefore their customer service was out the door. While here we saw other customers who were not impressed with their lack of service as well. It was our first and probably our last time here. It's a shame as we were really hoping to have a great experience. I wish I had better things to say. The food lacked flavor and overall the experience was lack luster. I'm sorry dream diner.

Food is excellent and the location is perfect for me. I have been coming here for over 10 years and would recommend trying it out. It's classier than your average Diner.

Went this morning after hearing rave reviews for years and was sorely disappointed. Our waitress took our order and was not seen again, not to refresh our coffees or bring us our ordered drinks. My omelette had a hair in it, and my father's had some sort of long sting of plastic. It was impossible to get ahold of any one to complain, and the busser had to be asked to bring our checks. Oh and the potatoes were SO salty! The only saving grace was the amazing sweet potato pancakes, but I wouldn't return for them after the experience we had. So sad to give a poor review, but this was a let down .

Fun family-owned diner with friendly staff and good food at a great price. I enjoyed sitting at the counter watching the 'show', ie the dance between the line cooks and the servers and getting orders out. I'll certainly pop back in next time I'm in the area.

First time here today. Great place! I often drive past it so my boyfriend and I decided to stop in and try it out. GREAT food, AMAZING service! Bridgette literally made my day. She was so incredibly nice! Introduced herself, asked where we were from, if it was our first time- very personable!! The food came out quick and hot. The omelets are very yummy. Highly recommend!

Had Sunday breakfast around 8 am. There was plenty of room at the counter. Biscuits & gravy were just fine, and the sausage gravy went FANTASTICALLY on the cinnamon roll French toast--I highly recommend balancing out its sweetness with that. The sweet potato pancake with banana was tasty with a very interesting texture. I thought it was going to be like a potato pancake, but no, it was a regular batter pancake, I guess with sweet potato pureed into it. My waiter was very solicitous, joshing with the cooks to make sure my meal was awesome. I'll definitely come back to try some of the great looking eggs benedict.

The food was really good! Thanks Brett for the awesome service! Everyone should try the sweet potato pancakes! The diner had a great atmosphere and was super busy. But the food was definitely worth the wait! They had some great specials. Especially the stuffed French toast!

Not our first time at Dream Diner. My wife and I live in Tyngsboro an used to visit Dream Diner regularly. Not having been in a few years, we returned for breakfast this 4th of July. I was astonished with the poor experience we had. I ordered 2 scrambled eggs, corned beef hash, home fries and raisin toast. Oh I'm sorry, they no longer serve raisin toast. Something about raisins getting stuck in the toaster. I wish I were kidding. So I had to resort to white. My meal came out first with my wife's home fries. Then we waited a few minutes for her french toast with strawberries to come out. How hard is it to deliver meals together? My eggs tasted watered down and cold, the home fries were large, cold and not crisped, the corn beef hash was granular like it was the left over gristly pieces left on the grill. Oh and did I mention no raisin toast, and the jelly was not kept on the table. My wife's only comment on her food was that she makes a better French toast at home. I tried hers and agree. Dream diner in the past used to be cash only. So it was nice to find out that they now take credit cards. A $10 minimum, but that wasn't an issue with our $25 meal. Though, your using the wrong credit card service if you have to impose a minimum. The more surprising thing was that they don't accept tips on credit cards! Cash only tips. What is the point of accepting credit cards if you still require people to carry cash for a tip. There isn't evan a tip line on the receipt. I can understand wanting to accept tips in cash, but can you be any more obvious about tax evasion? Needless to say, our visit only reminded me why we moved on, to get our breakfast elsewhere during the past few years. There was a time Dream Diner had terrific food and great service. But for us, that was a long time ago. Maybe we'll try again in a few more years, but for now, I don't think we'll be back.

We used to love the Dream Diner, however after several "last chances" we will no longer go there. The service is awful and the owners are rude to say the least.

We decided to try lo Kai in dracut for Saturday night. I had 2 items that were hot. Very disappointing that food was lukewarm and some actually cold. The soup was incredibly hot though. We have been to lunch. Will likely try that again for fresher and better temperatures.

I ordered the Breakfast Burrito and it was great! Very, very hot and packed full with delicious veggies! My only negative comment is slight-- if you're a vegetarian, they cook their home fries 'very close to' the bacon grease (a thing I always like to check on!). I mentioned that I didn't eat meat and my waitress was very sweet and understanding-- she mentioned that she would make the burrito sans sausage before I ever asked! Also, I picked up a pack of Thin Mints on my way out-- any place that sells Girl Scout cookies is a place I can totally get down with.

The staff has become less friendly and they have this rule that if someone in your party is a few minutes late then you aren't allowed to be seated until they get there. My friend and I were waiting for fifteen minutes to get a table. I decided to get there early because I was meeting my friends before I had to work that morning and didn't want to be late. When we informed them our party had three people in it we were told that we were not allowed to be seated until the third person was there even though she was two minutes away. Instead we were told our table would be given to the people who just walked into the restaurant and we would have to wait for the next table. Our waitress apologized and got someone in charge for us and the woman was rude and acted like we were a waste of her time. I will not be returning to the Dream Diner which is upsetting because I have been going here for years.

I am eating a bit of crow re-reviewing this diner. I have never been a fan. There are some things that still really bug me but here is my updated review: Menu is updated and has a much better selection. I have now been twice for breakfast and have really enjoyed what I ordered. My biggest complaint was the biscuits and gravy was to big. They now open for dinner on a few nights. I had prime rib and my daughter chicken parm. Both were very good. I wished I had ordered a baked potato instead of the mashed but that is only personal preference. I would highly recommend stopping by for dinner. They also serve alcohol. try it.

Fantastic food and service for a reasonable price! It's got a very home-like vibe and you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. The staff is great and the food is delicious - you'll be planning your next visit before you're even done eating!

  • Matthew K.

The food was absolutely delicious, we got a shaved steak breakfast burrito, and steak eggs benedict. The steak was watery and cooked to perfection. The home fries were great if your somone who likes them thicker rather than crispier. The only complaint was more steak than egg in the steak eggs benedict.

  • Richard D.

The food was average. The omelet seemed like it might have been made from egg beaters, judging by how paper thin it was. The home fries were hot, but not a hint of crispiness to be found. For some reason the server didn't want me to order white toast, and pretty much wrote down that I would get an English muffin instead - not sure what that was about. The sides came several minutes after we ordered, and one was completely forgotten. After about 10 minutes, we asked a passing server about it (we hadn't seen our server in a while), and a minute later our server came by to let us know they were making it: "let your food digest - it'll be your dessert." Maybe just apologize for the mistake instead? At one point, the same server plopped down the coffee pot on our table and told us to pour our own coffee refills. Later when she actually did pour another cup for us, she spilled a little coffee on the table and onto me and said "see, you didn't spill it when you poured it yourself" and nothing else. Seriously? I am very tolerant of mistakes, but not if they're not acknowledged. Our server asked us to write a review, so here it is. I wanted to like this place, but was disappointed.

Took my Dad to Dream Diner today, it was his first time. My fiance and I visit the diner one to two times a week. I have been a regular customer for about two years and so haven't my adult children. It was very crowded and slow. We were told that something happened to one of their wait staff and they apologized for the wait. After we were seated our orders were taken (this took about 35 mins total). I ordered an omelette and it was delivered missing half the ingredients. I told this to our waitress and I was brought over the rest of the ingredients (cold) and she put them on the table. No apologies were made nor did they ask if they could remake the order correctly. After, we were brought our bill, I noticed we were charged for coffee that we did not order and I was also charged for extra cheese that was never added to the omelette. For the prices that they charge and being a regular customer this was an extreme disappointment. We will not be returning here again.

I've gone past the Dream Diner for years on Middllesex Street and decided to try it out for the first time. I went there two weeks ago with two of my friends Carrie and Elia. First when we got there, we were greeted right away by the staff and got coffee asap , as soon as we all were seated. For breakfast I has two scrambled eggs with wheat toast, bacon, and potatoes, it was the best homemade meal I've ever had, My two friends Carrie and Elia had Banana Pancakes with homefried potatoes which they loved. Last, everybody left happy and I'm sure we will return again sometime in the future.

Had lunch here this week with my 2 children. Arrived around 11 and there were 4 tables free and entire counter. We chose a table and sat there for close to 10 minutes unacknowledged even though several waitresses walked by. I finally went up to the counter to grab menus and this got their attention. Waitress followed me back to table and took our order. Food took a long time to come and was not served all together. My food was cold. I had to ask for flatware. While we were eating I overheard 3 other parties ask the waitress why they do not take tips on credit cards. We also did not have cash for tip and had to drive to ATM and bring it back to waitress after we left. The whole experience was unpleasant. We will not be back.

I took my daughter there for late breakfast. When we were served our food, they started washing the floor with ammonia. Also sweeping nasty looking stuff around us. We both lost our appetites and have not been back.

We tried here again. We came in around midday, which was less busy. I got a Reuben Omelet, which was as weird, and GOOD as it sounds. My wife got the Dream Omelet, which she loved as well. The wait staff was busy, but they tried their best to keep up, which is all you can ask for. Environment was much nicer than the last time we went here. They had a gentleman get up and give everyone a high five while we sang happy birthday to him!

Visited this hopping place for the first time yesterday and was blown away by the energy of this great little restaurant. Family owned and operated, the extensive menu offers every kind of omelette imaginable -- all fresh and jam-packed with fillings! If you're craving pancakes, French toast, or creamed chipped beef on toast -- no worries! Breakfast sandwiches are also popular! Bottomless coffee tops the service -- every time I looked away from my cup, someone refilled it. For the best seat in the house, sit at the counter. Not only do you get to watch all the goodies being prepared, you also get to schmooze with the waitresses. Entertainment AND good food -- what more could you want?

Our family's favorite place for breakfast and where all of our out of town guests want to return. As close as you can get to a modern day Cheers where everyone knows your name and will sing happy birthday to you whether they know your name or not. Best omelettes, sweet potato pancakes with bananas and cinnamon roll french toast. Our neighborhood place - even through we're from Dunstable!

I don't get what the hype is, have been a few times and it's always mediocre. I'm not a breakfast person but I know a good diner when I eat at one. Was so excited for this because of phantom gourmet. Service is slow, crowd is rude and it's a bit grimey.

Went back this morning for the eggs Benedict. I really like this place. The service is excellent. More restaurant owners should stop by to see how service should be delivered. The staff is upbeat, they check in to see how you are or if you need anything frequently. Check out the guy making the omelets. He's a rock star. Food is great. Mary Beth, owner remembers everyone and makes them feel like they've been coming for years. Thumbs up

When we walked in the first thing I noticed were the pre made potatoes and bacon on the grill, just sitting there getting cold... It was 7 am on a Thursday and the place was almost empty except for a gentlemen at the counter and another 5 top in a booth. That being said, despite our very sweet waitress, the turn around for food was incredibly slow. I was served first and then a full 5 minutes went by for the rest of my family to get their food. I want to be clear, I don't believe it was the server's fault, obviously she gave me my plate as soon as it was ready. But waiting that long on pancakes?? I ordered an omlete, it was so over stuffed with lukewarm bacon I actually had pick at it around the edges. The potatoes were completely un-edible. They were cold, grey, and there was an unmistakable film of grease around them. My husband ordered the Dream breakfast which disappointed him greatly. When the check arrived we noticed there was no place to include a tip. We found out from our waitress that tips are cash only and she was kind enough to let us come back and leave her one. I think this part was the that left the worst taste in my mouth. The food was lousy, service was slow, but they didn't have a credit card reader that automatically includes a tip portion on the bill. That is unacceptable! It puts the wait staff in a position to miss out on tips, and it puts the costumer in a bad position if they don't know to bring cash. Needless to say we won't be coming back.

overall very good. been here a few times. I got the eggs Benedict, it was good, the english muffin was great. very soft, very thick... the ham slice was tender, not dry or tough, the egg was perfect. the sauce was plentiful, but sort of bland.. needed a little more flavor somehow. husband got the breakfast burrito with sausage.. i didnt hear a word from him the entire time, and he didnt offer to share so it must have been good. :) coffee was never empty and always kept full and hot. the waitresses were very nice, the staff friendly and fun, the price was fair. in and out happily fed in less than an hour. we got a blueberry muffin as well, grilled. it was fabulous. no complaints. would love it to be larger so it could seat more, but love the small size as well.

Hands down, my favorite place for breakfast. The service is awesome, the food is delicious. Everything is cooked properly and the staff is very friendly. Maryann's in Derry is good, but the Dream Diner is great! It doesn't feel like a tourist attraction. I always get excited when I go to eat here.

My husband and I were at a classic car show at the Dream Diner last Saturday. We ordered a meatloaf sandwich to go so we could eat it outside while at the car show. The meatloaf in the sandwich was not too thin or not too thick. Also the meatloaf had some grilled onions on top of it and was served on white toasted bread. Easy to eat as it was not sloppy, very tasty with just the right amount of seasoning. Plus very welcoming wait staff! We are waiting for a free Friday night so we can have a meal inside the diner.

We are new to the area and needed to find a breakfast place and I'm happy to say Dream Diner will be our #1 choice when we want to go out for breakfast. It is such a cute place. The theme is 50's and they play oldie music and the waitresses wear the cutest uniforms. I feel like I am in the movie "Grease" when I am there. The food is basic breakfast items but tasty and they also serve lunch and dinner on weeekends. The prices are affordable. Very fun place to go eat!!

We found this place last week and have been there 3 or 4 times since. It has a great atmosphere to it like an old diner (doesn't look like one from the outside) but not greasy like most diners, this place is clean and has really nice staff that makes you feel like your eating at home. Very accommodating if you need to have a quick bite or you can have a nice Sunday breaky. Great omelets, pancakes, breakfast meats (especially the bacon) and the baked goods looked unreal. Bucket list place for sure

My fiancée and I wanted to try someplace new for breakfast and this place had some good reviews, so we came. The atmosphere was pleasant. Typical 50's diner. All the servers had on 50's garb and doo-wop tracks were playing in the background. The service was friendly, but very slow. She kept apologizing, saying it was a crazy morning. After we got our coffee, she made rounds about three times near us without acknowledging us. We had to flag her down to take our order. We waited probably another 20 minutes for our food. The menu was full of variety, with at least 20 different omelet combos and all the typical breakfast platters. I got the "Brill" omelet. She got "The Dream Omelet." The omelets were decent, served in a very thin layer of egg (not at all fluffy). The veggies were cooked perfectly and the steak was done well. The home fries were disappointing: overcooked and mushy, with an odd seasoning that I didn't like. The toast was thinly sliced and very crunchy, with some blackened edges. The place has it's pros and cons, but I don't think we'll be coming back for breakfast.

This is a place for a true yelper to go, just bring the green stuff and not the plastic stuff (money not credit). Lotsa parking, easy to find location and coffee while you wait and lemme tell you- you will be waiting, it's clearly THAT good. There is a hometown feel, lotsa happy people eating heartily....laughter, camaraderie, a staff that gives you a genuine smile, a busboy that is totally on top if it, fun ole time music, cast iron hot rods glued between the booths, multi colored ceiling fans and, thank god, coke products. Our meal: Me: Eggs florentine,1 french toast, side of kielbasa, coffee and a bottle of diet coke He: greek omelet with sour dough toast and coffee My florentine was scrumptious just needing a bit more hollandaise sauce so I could soak it up after scarfing down one of my perfectly poached eggs. Usually I'm a control phreak, meaning that I order a breakfast that usually consists of eggs, toast, meat, home fries. No concoctions because one can't control a mixture of ingredients....but the lady that was sitting in the booth across from us had the florentine and, truthfully the only florentine I love is the one hubbie makes for me....but hers looked so yum so I opted for no control....and I must say it worked to my benefit. The meals came with home fries that albeit good needed to be a wee more crispy for my tater tastes. The kielbasa was good and from the nearly cleaned and reusable plate sitting in front of my wonderfully satisfied looking husband...I'm thinking the greek omelet was out of the park. Honey dew lovers beware..the coffee isn't up to our standards but I think d&d peeps will be fine. Check out the picture of the swarm of people who came at the waitress that brought out the platter of coffee for them as they waited on line, it was quite interesting to experience first-hand. We were able to tell one of the staff members that we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and they asked us to comment about them at a similar place like yelp - and I told them that I had already started a yelp review - and although they didn't have such a great star rating, we opted to try them out. And we were happily full and satisfied and that would be reflected in our stars (hence the 5 star rating) Mary Beth came out and gave us a card and thanked us for stopping in. It was nice. I would go so far as to say, that it would be worth a trip to Tyngsboro on a nice Saturday or Sunday morning... People we have a responsibility to small places such as these to bring them to the masses. Keep Yelp'g, my fellow Yelpers. and bunnihuggles to all of you!

50's kitsch over very good food. It seems better than it was a few years ago. Excellent selection of omelets.

Another great visit to my favorite diner. Yes the wait can be long but it is definitely worth it. The staff is wonderful. The food is yummy and feels like your mom prepared it for you with love. Sweet potato pancakes are to die for! My advice is come early if you are starving so you don't have to wait long and bring cash because they can't take tips on Credit cards. Luckily there is a bank right next door.

I LOVE breakfast! My search for a great breakfast place in Northern Mass / Southern NH has not ended. I thought my search was finally over after reading all the great reviews on yelp. The one star for Dream Diner comes from the friendly service and the great atmosphere. If you love that feeling of stepping into a place where everyone knows your name, you'll love Dream Diner. The food was just below Denny's in the taste category. I ordered the eggs benedict and my spouse ordered an omelet. The eggs on the eggs benedict were under cooked and the amount of hollandaise sauce they use is past the point of drowning. I was expecting a life guard to come in and save the eggs from the sauce. The hollandaise sauce was flat in taste and the texture was too thick (it was mayonnaise thick). SAD! The english muffin may have been swiped across a toaster but I would hardly call that toasted. The eggs benedict I was served missed the mark by a mile. My spouse ordered an omelet. The omelet was made with a thin layer of egg and the ingredients were not sprinkled into the egg evenly. All of the cheese was at one end of the omelet. The taste was palatable but the potatoes were below average. Again, I can't say enough about the atmosphere. The people in this place are great and the decor is nice. The food needs to be re-vamped. We won't be back.

We went there this morning for breakfast. There was a line, but that's to be expected on a Saturday morning and it we only waited about 20 minutes. One of the waiters came out and offered anyone in the line coffee which was very nice on a chilly, damp morning. We were also able to look at a menu in line so we knew exactly what we wanted when we sat down. The wait staff was fairly attentive, only took a few minutes to refill our coffees and take our order. I had the country benny (I think that's what it was called). It was 2 biscuits with scrambled eggs and sausage gravy. The sausage gravy was quite good, not overly salty. The has browns were so so, not bad but not any better than anywhere else. My boyfriend got the Mulholland omelet. It had ham, bacon, sausage and cheese in it. He didn't really like it, he compared it more to an egg burrito. The egg was very thin and every time he cut a piece, everything fell apart. Overall, pretty good and we will most likely try it again.

The mixed reviews from a few years back are deceiving. This diner is a dream come true for breakfast lovers! Delicious meals sans the heart burn you'd get from the typical greasy spoon. The menu consists of an extensive omelet selection with all the trimmings. My omelet was cooked perfectly, light and fluffy with plenty of spinach, cheese, and mushrooms inside. The sweet potato pancake was to die for, the coffee worked, and the home fries were great. Our waiter, Brett, made us feel very welcomed upon our first visit. The wait for our food was long but totally worth it. The prices are super cheap. We've been back a few times.

I like breakfast. I like the breakfast here at the Dream Diner. They use real butter in their home fries. Their omelets are totally stuffed (see my posted picture). The coffee is hot and fresh. The only thing that doesn't make this 4 stars is that unless you come in close to when they open, you're not going to get great service unless you are a crony/regular. I understand about taking care of your regulars... I am one elsewhere and enjoy the perks, but you have to take care of the rest of us folks that stop in once in a while too! So, my advice: come in early, remember it's cash only, order anything and it'll be yummy and filling :)

I love their eggs benedict which is probably why it's the only thing I've ordered off the menu. The eggs are always perfectly cooked and the hollindaise sauce is to die for - I get it on the side so I don't have too much on my food. Only downside is no fountain sodas (bottles only) and cash only but this place is still awesome.

A few weeks ago we were at what I considered to be a 3-star diner, and after I told my sister about this place, she responded with, "Have you ever tried Dream Diner? I was just here with a friend, and it's really good." She was raving about the raisin bread French toast, and I've been "dreaming" about it ever since she mentioned it. Today was the day of reckoning. Mr K and I have never been here and never knew it existed, but we decided that this is what a true diner should be: friendly staff, accommodating owner, cute "diner" décor (red vinyl seats, replica Chevys, CocaCola paraphernalia, and pictures of Betty Boop--boo boo ba doo) and not over the top, a place where everyone knows your order and name, and good food. This diner is truly family run: Mary Beth is the owner, and her mother, Bridget, as well as brother Brett, are part of the waitstaff. All are very sweet and accommodating. I was REALLY disappointed that they didn't have the raisin French toast today, so instead, ordered a Master omelette without the tomato. It contained peppers, onions, cheddar, and mushrooms, with a side of wheat bread and crispy home fries. Mr K's order had a side of extra crispy bacon and was an Egg Beater omelette with the same vegetables plus turkey--real roasted turkey and not the processed kind that other places serve. The coffee was on the weak side, so that's the only real complaint we had about the meal, and I never got the Splenda I wanted. While we were waiting for our meal, waiter Brett came by (he looks like Seth Meyers from Saturday Night Live) and asked if this were our first time here. We enjoyed some heavy schmoozing and 5 minutes later, he brought us a sweet potato pancake with choc chips and a small amount of confectioner sugar to share. Simply delicious, and a smart, friendly gesture. I see from another review (hi, JPD) that we were not the only patrons to be "charmed" with this pancake, but that's ok. The waiters and owner seemed to know everyone's order, so this place obviously has a lot of repeat customers, which is always a good sign. It was packed at 1:15 (it closes at 2 on Saturday) and from what I understand, is REALLY packed on Sunday morning. Am not surprised. 4 stars. I deducted 1/2 star for the weak coffee and 1/2 star for the crumbs on the floor next to the counter seating. Still anticipating the raisin bread French toast, so we may be here sooner rather than later.

We LOVE this place! We're not generally Diner diners, but once we tried the Dream Diner we were changed forever. The menu is unbelievably diverse and there are always great specials as well. The restaurant is family owned and every staff member is so attentive, friendly and hard working it's impossible not to have a phenomenal experience when you're there! We are a family of four where two like breakfast and two like lunch, so this is the perfect place for us! It's always crowded and there might be a brief wait, but where else are you offered and brought a hot mug of coffee while you wait? Homemade everything, including pies to go, and one of the quickest, high quality service places around our area. We always leave here feeling like we've eaten well, had a great time and been treated like our visit was appreciated. You've got to try this place if you haven't yet!

We've been loyal and frequent customers since our first meal there and my initial review in November of 2008 and I realized this morning it was time for an update. The Dream Diner continues to make us very happy. Service is usually quick and attentive with coffee never getting low in the mug and the food usually coming within 5-10 minutes of ordering. An occasional mistake may be made but when the place is jumping with customers and tons of orders, it's understandable for an egg to be cooked fried instead of scrambled or sausage instead of bacon to be brought with the meal, and these errors are always quickly corrected without any hassle. The home fries are big chunks of potato, crisped on the flat top, which isn't everyone's favorite kind of breakfast potato, but it is mine and I make sure to always have some with whatever I order. As I said in my first review, the Eggs Benedict are a breakfast masterpiece and they are consistently good. The eggs are always poached exactly as I like them - firm white, gooey warm yolk - and they are always atop a slab of carved ham, beneath which hides some English muffins to carry it all. I always save some home fries to clean the last traces of Hollandaise off the plate, too. This morning while hemming and hawing about what I wanted, our server, Brett, asked if I'd ever tried the sweet potato pancakes. I haven't, despite being in there so many times (what can I say, I'm devoted to their Eggs Benedict), so he brought us over a plate with a small sweet potato pancake to try. I have no idea why I hadn't tried them before now, but I don't think I will ever order a plain pancake there again... the sweet potato pancake is like a sweet breakfast pancake with a hint of pumpkin pie, almost. So yummy and I didn't even bother to put syrup on it, just a dab of butter. Please note that it's not a potato pancake like a latke, but rather a breakfast pancake that has sweet potato in the batter. It sounds wacky but just think about how good sweet potato fries are dipped in maple syrup. Yeah, that's right. You're craving them now. :) The meals are reliable, homey and filling... we are never hungry afterwards and sometimes earning your clean plate club title is almost impossible! Mary Beth runs the place with the hand of a savvy businesswoman, but also as a family business. Her mother, Bridget, is the Queen of the Neverending Coffee Cup... her brother, Brett, is one of the friendliest waiters you'll ever meet... her husband and daughters are often on site having their breakfast or just charming the customers. Even the staff who aren't part of the family really are part of the Dream Diner Family... and they make you feel like you are, too.

I like the cool retro look of the inside and the waitresses and staff were very (almost too) friendly. My sandwich at lunch was not to my liking. Prices aren't great, not expensive but not cheap either. What I didn't care for, was that most of the waitresses were sitting in the booths with their friends chatting. When I wanted the check I had to find a waitress and she had to leave her friends. She made me feel like I was bothering her. Had I wanted something else with my meal I would have had to interrupt a waitress also. I haven't been for breakfast, but I heard that it's good. Also, I didn't know that they had any lunch specials until I was leaving and noticed it on a sign above the counter, would have been nice if the waitress had pointed it out to me.

We left the city over a year ago and have searched high and low for a place that would remotely compare to Deluxe Diner in Watertown or Friendly Toast in Cambridge. Found one. Dream Diner is fantastic. They are quick and accommodating. The restaurant is clean. I didn't use the bathroom. I had an omelette that was cooked perfectly. Bacon perfectly crunchy. Ordered a tall glass of milk and it was cold and fresh. The homefries were great, didn't taste frozen or overdone, just perfect. We didn't wait for a seat at the counter. I am thrilled that we have finally found a diner worthy of five stars and our repeat business.

This place is owned and operated by very nice people. The food is overall very good. The cool however in the am is very braisen. How so you Ask? Well we call it the phantom egg... I ord ered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and asked to be sure the egg was "over easy "NOT TO COOK THE EGG THROUGH. Well, it came out cooked through and anything but "over easy" so the waitress took it back to the cook and it came back to me. Now the yolk is totally missing!!! He aparently scraped out the cooked yolk left put some runny yolk from somewhere and covered it with partially melted cheese. Noe initially it looked ok until I kept cutting into it and never found ANY YOLK cooked or not. I did not say anything to the waitress who is a sweetheart and we know the owner and did not want to make a sene. Hopefully the owner will read this and keep a watchfull eye on this aregont cook who by the way has worked there several years. We will never go back as long as that cook is there. Hopefully he is reading this too and will now realize he didn't get away with what he did.

My sister wrote her wonderful review of this place before I could - but I wanted to add my two cents. The staff at the Dream Diner ROCK! The entire crew re-arranged their days when my family came in a few minutes before closing - AND they served us a great lunch. There were several corned beef reubens - and I have to say they were just about as good as any New York diner. Served with a side of sweet potatoe fries or onion rings - and we were lucky to get both - it would have been a hard choice -both were great - but I have to say that as a huge fan of the onion ring - these were outstanding! Go get some! I love this little place - they treat you like family - or better - and they have about the best breakfast menu around - love love love the sweet potato pancakes - and greek omelets. Looking forward to my next trip back there

I want to live there, I want to marry the chef there, I want to eat the food morning noon and night - this was the best yummiest diner EVER! This is a family operation which is often packed, but the lines move swiftly and the waitresses take your order carefully and deliver it correctly!! We sat at the bar - so we could see the staff moving swiftly and putting the orders together one by one - again correctly! My husband ordered the Trio (three muffins with various toppings - spinach/florentine, sausage and ham) - which was a generous portion. I ordered the eggs with toast - which they nicely replaced with an english muffin upon my request and bacon - the bacon is crisped to perfection - no sogginess, and no burned edges - I could have eaten more of it - so yummy. And a side of blueberry pancakes because you have to. The only minor disappointment was that they didn't use maple syrup, instead using some home sugary syrup. If you're in the neighborhood, definitely worth having a meal there!

My boyfriend and I came here today, excited to try a new place for breakfast. It's a cute little diner. Reminds me of the Owl Diner in Lowell, except not chaotic or noisy. I would definitely say my favorite part about this place was the atmosphere. It was nice and relaxed with Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley coming through the speakers. The food on the other hand was not great. My apple juice tasted very watery and my eggs, toast, and hash browns were just mediocre. The waitresses were nice, but I didn't like that I got my bill literally 2 minutes after my food came out.

Growing up in California, the closest thing we had to a diner was Denny's, Sambos, Bob's Big boy and the like. None of them, in my mind, fit the mold of the diner that is ubiquitous in New England. Thus, I find myself inextricably drawn to both "real" and "faux" diners. Driving to the tax fee haven of New Hampshire to go shopping, we've passed the Dream Diner on several occasions. My partner and I decided to give it a try. Alas, we will not be going back. I had lunch and my partner had breakfast. Service was quick and good after a five minute wait for a table. The problems started with the beverage order....they were out of ice tea! I ordered the tuna melt...although the cheese was melted it was cold in the middle. All in all, I thought my food was mediocre but not horrendous. Unfortunately for my partner, his food was beyond mediocre. The omelet was nicely cooked but WAY too salty. The potatoes were overloaded with salt and grease. Within an hour he was complaining of heartburn. So, you can dream a little dream of me, but not the Dream Diner!

My best friend is visiting from CA and one of our traditions is having coffee, breakfast and talking. I had driven by the Dream Diner a few times and really wanted to try it. From the moment we walked in, we knew it was going to be good. The ambiance is very "diner-esque" featuring a breakfast bar and multiple booths. The server was dressed in a pink and green 50's style dress and immediately greeted us as we walked in. We picked our booth and she came over a few minutes later to ask us what we would like to drink and present us with menus. The coffee was delivered quickly and it was hot and fresh. They brought the standard creams, but they only had sugar on the table (no artificial sweetener) which though I was fine with, could be a problem for someone who can't have sugar (diabetics namely). I'm guessing had I asked they probably had some splenda or something available though. We both ordered omlettes and my friend got a side of bacon. The food was excellent and was served quickly. I was really happy with the homefries, which were not salty or greasy. They were cooked well and really tasty. My friend reported that her bacon was crispy and good, just as she had hoped. We sat and chatted for about 45 minutes and the servers came by to freshen up our coffee as we chatted. We didn't feel pressure to leave or pay and really enjoyed our time there. The young man who was working was extremely pleasant and it was clear he really enjoys his job at the diner. He was funny and nice. We really thought that his kind nature made the ambiance as people came in. Just made you feel welcome. There is a good amount of parking. I would caution people like me, those who never have money on them, to hit the ATM before they go. The Dream Diner is a cash-only place! I'd definitely recommend the Dream Diner to my friends and I will be taking my husband and daughter sometime in the future!

The Dream Diner was recommended to us by the front desk staff at the Radisson in Nashua. We were looking for a place that served breakfast all day. The place was crowded, and our party of six squished into a four-person booth. The pluses: Breakfast food was yummy. There's a huge selection of omlettes (go for the Brill, it had shaved steak, onions, peppers, mushrooms and cheese... yum). The server was super friendly, even getting the restaurant's attention to acknowledge my parents' 40th anniversary. It was a nice, personal touch! The minuses: One of the people at our table got a lunch dish (a steak club sandwich). It came out between 5-10 minutes after everyone else's food did. It also wasn't as good as the breakfast offerings, so definately go for the breakfast goodies. The waitress, although super super friendly, did also try to get us into some pyramid scheme thing. Overall though, we'd go back if we're in the area.

Pros: reasonable prices, great menu, huge portions, great service, yummy pancakes and eggs. Cons: the homefries were terrible! think boiled potatoes with some sort of unpleasant aftertaste. they were also really wet (not the swimming in butter kind). 3.5 stars.

This place was just okay. I went into the breakfast having high expectations, since they claim to have the best hollandaise sauce.... That's a big claim to make! So, of course I needed to get eggs benedict..... I decided on eggs benedict with turkey and a side fruit cup. Fiance got eggs benedict with sausage. I can't place my finger on what it was but the benedict sauce was just off. The consistency was strange and it seemed to congeal within seconds. The turkey was good but I don't think it was fresh-carved since the meat was pink. I will say though that the home fries were delicious. They also forgot my "fruit cup" and it took awhile for that to finally arrive after asking. It also wasn't fresh fruit- definitely out of a jar because I could taste the sacchrin in the juice. We also ordered a cinnamon bunn to go because it looked too good to resist (it ended up being just "eh"). They did have cinnamon bunn french toast that day- literally a cinnamon bun french toast-ified. I should have gotten that... Anyways, the coffee wasn't bad either but they definitely skimped on refills. Since we were ignored, we were sitting there for a good while and I was only asked once if I wanted a refill. We sat at the counter and looking back I now think that was our mistake because after the waitress took our order we were pretty much ignored the rest of the time and it took forever to get someone's attention for the check. It also seemed like the counter was for the regulars, since the waitresses were chatting with everyone else- except us of course. I will say though, I was impressed with the omlette guy's skills- he was quick, meticulous, and loaded them with fillings! If yelp did 1/2 stars, with with be 2.5.

I think I've been here literally hundreds of times over the last 10 years or so and enjoyed every visit. The two standouts for me are the cinnamon roll french toast and the sweet potato pancakes. The cinnamon roll french toast is not just some cinnamon laced bread, but an actual cinnamon roll cut in half dipped in egg and cooked like a piece of french toast. Its very sweet so there is no need for syrup, but it is awesome. The sweet potato pancakes taste good and are actually pretty healthy for you compared to a buttermilk one. I would also recommend the linguisa in place of bacon or sausage. The service is fast and good. When waiting in line for a seat this Saturday morning they even came out to pass out coffees for everyone waiting in line. I thought that was a nice touch although I had never seen them do that before. My only gripe is they are cash only! I know breakfast isn't expensive, but seriously I hate having to go to an ATM before breakfast.

I've been here about 4-5 times. The wait has always been horrendous - at least 45 minutes to get some breakfast for 3 people on a weekend. Omelettes were very dry, and their sign touting "best benedicts around" is unfortunately WAY off target. Staff was nice, prices were average. I WISH this place was better - it's a lot closer than the places I actually go for breakfast.

Went here last Saturday - we both really liked it. Place doesn't LOOK like a "diner". To me - a true diner, is a diner car. Period. But - whatever. It's a new-ish place that has all the fake 50s-tin-signs up on the wall and rockabilly music playing. So - while it's not legit, it's not bad. It has a fun vibe to it. Colorful wall decorations and check out those rainbow-colored ceiling fans! The food was really good! Fast service too. Big menu. Coffee was great. I was disappointed in their sweet potato fries - they were soggy. But the meatloaf sandwich I got was awesome. The price was kinda steep I think, and they are * CASH ONLY *. But - there's a bank next door, which doesn't charge a service fee to use their drive-up ATM so - running out for money while leaving my girl as collateral was no problem. Aside from the soggy fries and cash-only bit, everything else was spot-on. Nice place for lunch. Give it a shot if you're in town.

We had a wonderful visit to Dream Diner this morning. Our breakfast was absolutely delicious - try the sweet potato pancakes and the cinnamon roll french toast - and the staff was wonderful. I wish I knew his name, but our waiter was extremely friendly and welcoming. Definitely felt like we were "home". I also bought an apple pie to go (made by Marybeth) and it was delicious. It perked up my entire family during a tough time. Thanks, guys!

I have been to this restaurant twice and was disapointed both times...The first time the owner was away and how the restaurant was run was chaos... I went again last week and the ham in my omelet was so strange it was all mushy in my omelet and the toast was burnt... The waitstaff was really nice but the food makes it not worth going back... I highly recommend going to the other place around the corner... I think the name is Comets.

I've been going to the Dream Diner for years and thought it was good. I admit I have a bias against "fake eggs" you know the ones that come in a plastic bag to make omelette's. My breakfast eggs tasted slimy and fake. pro's service is good. con's prices are a bit high for what you get.

Two things are apparent after eating here: 1) Management apparently believes "Retro" cancels out greasy and unappealing; 2) Someone convinced the staff that low gear is fine. The place isn't very large, and there are several servers/supervisors, but they somehow turn it into a sea of expectant diners trying to catch their server's eye.

You can never find enough good places for breakfast. And the ones you can find so often aren't there for very long. The Dream Diner has been in business for over seven years, so it most be doing something right. That something right is your basic diner food, or more accurately breakfast diner food. Sure they have a lunch menu, and just recently they started to even serve dinner, but breakfast is why you go here. They do everything you want for breakfast, eggs, pancakes, omelets, French toast, bacon, sausage, ham, corned beef hash, and even some surprisingly good eggs benedict. The home fries are worth the trip all by themselves. Unlike almost every other breakfast place in the area that serve those small cubes of potato like substance that have been deep fried in some anonymous food warehouse, frozen and shipped in the back of some generic delivery truck; the Dream Diner uses honest to god actual potatoes, cut by hand into inch chunks and cooked right in front of you on one of the two giant griddles. Crunchy bits, soft parts, real potato taste. I love them! The coffee is plentiful, not being a coffee drinker I have no idea if it's any good, but I have seen only one spit take there and it involved chocolate milk not coffee. I just stick with the hot tea when it's cool outside, or ice water when it's hot. (They do have iced tea available, but I am afraid they make it once a week and leave it in the back room to ripen. I refer to that as getting bitter, but maybe my palette is different from others.) The service is, well they know the locals and treat them great. Not a local they will probably be good to you, but when it gets busy (and it does every weekend morning about 8:30) the regulars get looked after first. Price is not cheap, but it's not over priced either. If you want to find a spot for a $5 breakfast, you can, but the food will be much better here. So good breakfast, sometimes indifferent service, set in a room stuffed with retro 50's dcor and you have the Dream Diner. I don't love it, but I am there for breakfast on a Saturday morning more than I am any place else.

Last week the power was off in Tyngsboro but I stopped into the Dream Diner anyway seeing the parking lot full of cars. The place was packed as usual. Yes, their power was out too but instead of closing like most retail places did, they were cooking and serving great food. I was very impress as I entered and was told that they could not make toast or serve hot coffee but the grill was working and they could make anything on the grill and serve cold beverages. This is a cash business and although the register wasn't working they were able to make change the old fashioned way by counting it back to you. The food was great as usual. I had eggs benedict (my personal favorite). They serve you a very generous thick slice of ham on a grilled English muffin covered with eggs and hollandaise sauce and home fries on the side. I elected to have juice given that there was no hot coffee. The food was great and the help was very apologetic for not having coffee or lights. What I thought was going to be a disaster became a great breakfast. I love this place and this is just one reason why.

Fun staff but long wait and mediocre food left something to be desired, although the coffee while you wait is a nice touch. My Irish Benedict had great hash but way overcooked poached eggs. They were out of some stuff-like lettuce and the meals came out in waves. Stick with the breakfast and you will get an acceptable meal from this greassy spoon. Do not go with a party of more than four. You may be uncomfortable or expect to be split up.

Good food, lousy service... Went to the Dream Diner the morning of Friday 11/10 around 10:00 am - place was quite busy. Nice interior, a retro 50's feel with lots of comfy booths and counter stools. Tables were scarce, but the counter was turning over quickly so we sat there. There was definately a disconnect in the way the place was running. Our waitress was the owner, who spent most of her time elsewhere. Service was scarce at the tables too. We sat by the counter and watched the cooks put up plate after plate of hot food (including ours) that just sat there because the waitresses weren't picking up the orders. Sicne we had counter seats, we got a birds-eye view of the open breakfast kitchen, and it looks like the cooks weren't that on the ball either. The waitresses kept having to correct the cooks, who kept leaving parts of orders off (even though they were working off order tickets coming from a printer). The food was decent, we both a sausage, bacon, pepper, and onion omelette. The omelette itself was good, but the bacon was dry and overcooked - looks like the cooks had done up a few orders of bacon earlier and then just left it to dry out on the grill. The coffee wasn't bad, but unfortunately nobody ever came around to see if we needed a refill. Our waitress breezed by once during the meal glancing at everyone on the counter going "everyone happy? good" before we could even get a word in. This place has a lot of potential, and I've heard good things about the food -- but until I hear something different concerning how disorganized the restaurant was, I won't be back.

Our favorite weekend breakfast spot, even though there's always a line and it's not a very big place. The waitresses really move, and we love to sit at the counter and watch the 2 short-order cooks. The menu includes all sorts of omelettes, breakfast sandwiches and the like, as well as delicious sweet potato pancakes. The coffee is just so-so, but it's easy to get a refill - in fact, they often come over to the people waiting and offer them coffee - a nice touch. The place is classic 50's - 60's decor - Elvis, Betty Boop and '57 Chevys, 15 or so booths and half a dozen stools at the counter. The also have a driveup window for takeout. We've only had dinner there a couple times - nothing awesome, but fine for a quick burger... and you can get breakfast all day. They don't rate 5 stars because you can't get real maple syrup, and the coffee is just ok.

This diner managed to screw up the most simple of diner fare - grilled cheese and french fries. The fries appeared to have been defrosted and temporarily dipped in lukewarm cooking oil, resulting in uncooked, limp strips of oil potato product. In what could only be interpreted as a cost-savings technique, only one side of the grilled cheese had been buttered prior to hitting the grill. The other side was just toasted.

Why would you bring out the food for one kid 5 minutes before bringing out the food for the other? Food quality, service and setting were all unspectacular.

Service is excellent, the coffee keeps on coming but the food is just ok. There are other breakfast joints in the area that are better.

Overall food was not great, wasn't very hot and i could have made a better breakfast at home. Service was terrible, kept having to ask different waitresses for things. The place was very cold inside and we felt very rushed to get out of there. The waitresses kept asking if I was done with my food and tried to take my plate when I clearly was not finished. Also when the waitress brought us our bill, it was incorrect. I was hoping this would be a delicious hole in the wall breakfast place, but overall I don't think I will ever go here again. Left very disappointed.

This place is great with a 1950's retro/hotrod flair. The place gets busy on weekends so expect a 10-15 min wait... But they offer free coffee while you wait and the jukebox tunes are swinging. Banana pancakes are awesome and the corned beef hash omelette is fluffy and delicious. The wait staff is very friendly and welcoming. I would go everyday if I could. Cash only... But good prices.

I love going to Dream Diner on a Saturday or Sunday morning. At first I was worried about the massive line that was going out the door but I'm glad I waited. I ordered a veggie omelette and strawberry milk and my friend ordered the sweet potato pancakes (recommended by the friendly waiter). Even though I loved my meal, I probably ate more of my friend's meal than she did because it was so good. The atmosphere was nice, looked like a typical diner with all the waitresses dressed up. Everyone was super energetic and put me in a great mood for the rest of the morning. Even though they were all very lively, service could've been faster. Overall, it's a great place to go to breakfast with friends and family. They also take cards now so you don't have to worry about having cash on you.

I love this retro diner. The food is fresh and very good and the service is even better. We were treated as if we've been regulars at this diner and they make sure you feel welcome. Bridget (the owner's mom) is very sweet and provided a service I wish some upscale restaurants would mirror. She suggested I try the eggs benedict with pastrami and it was delicious. Even my husband agreed that it was good and he doesn't like pastrami. This is without a doubt our new weekend breakfast place - they serve lunch and dinner too...

I am a frequent diner for breakfast. I visited this establishment over the Summer for breakfast. The energy and decor by the employees was very good. I ordered a steak and cheese omelet and it was fantastic. I like how the omelets are not overly thick and it's rare you can find a diner that serves fresh steak and cheese omelets. Overall the experience was good. Only recommendation I would make for this place is to find better potatoes because the order of home fires I received had small black spots on them causing me to have to pick around the good potatoes, otherwise a good place. Will be back!
