Arguably, Dino Facente is Springfield Massachusett's Cake and Cupcake Boss as evidenced by a few of his most noteworthy clients; Chubby Checker, Gov. Charlie Baker, etc. The Boston Cream Pie is the official State dessert and when Gov. Baker first tried Koffee Kup's Boston Cream Cupcake at the Big E, well history was made. The two men have kept it touch ever since, Gov. Baker has placed many orders since that time, even presenting the cupcakes at his inauguration. Koffee Kup is an "Old School Bakery", quite unlike the more modern versions we are accustom to seeing these days. Everything is scratch made, no prepared mixes are used and the end result is a product you might remember growing up as a kid sneaking pieces of grandmothers home made desserts. This is not an Italian bakery, although you will find some of those type of products available. They specialize in cakes for every occasion to the tune of 300 cakes per week. Koffee Kup is a must try when you are in the area and after your first Boston Cream Cup Cake it might very well become your destination spot when craving your next dessert fix.

This is an old school bakery. Sheet cakes, brownies, cupcakes. No frills. Nothing pretentious. Delicious cakes. They also have a great variety of rolls, pies, fruit bars, etc. Prices are reasonable. Taste is always consistent. The only negative I noticed on my visit yesterday is that staff was busy texting and chatting while I waited for help. I also disliked how my cupcakes were handled with bare hands. But otherwise....a good choice for simple tasty baked goods. Brings back nice memories of coming here with my mom when young for gingerbread men. Update 3/2015: Visited again recently and continued to be ignored by staff was chatting and texting. Very frustrating.

Do you like pie? I like pie. My mom's fiance picked up some pie here for Thanksgiving. 5 to be exact (mince, pumpkin, pecan, apple, and banana cream). They make some outstanding pie. Each of the 4 I tried (I'm not a mince fan) was quite good. The banana cream was perfectly creamy, and the others hit the spot perfectly. While I haven't actually been in the physical store, the pies are outstanding :)

We ordered a chocolate cake with chocolate filling and white frosting. The top layer slid right off (while in an air conditioned room on a flat surface), but we decided to try eating it anymore. Big mistake! The cake was dense and stale and the taste was unrecognizable. This will be our last time EVER dealing with them. I would of gave no stars but its not an option.

We gave this a try after reading an article about the boston cream pie cupcake, which is definitely worth stopping in for. They are well balanced and the cake is nice and moist. We also got the apricot pastry square which was so buttery and delicious we wanted more. When we went back in another time they didn't have the pastry squares which was a disappointment. The other fruit pastries have a funny swirl of cinnamon in them which competes a bit with flavors like lemon. We also grabbed a vanilla cupcake which wasn't anything to write home about, so definitely drop in to try the boston cream pie cupcake and the apricot pastry you won't be disappointed!

They have the best lemon Danishes ever! I grew up on their sweets coming back to Massachusetts visiting family and coming back to this place took me back to my childhood. It's also cheap and credit card friendly. Their treats are always fresh and so soft! Their cake is good also but I mainly come for the Danishes. The people are friendly and helpful. They have cookies to cannoli' s and everything in between. Definitely check them out if anything for their fresh Danishes.

You will be hard pressed to find better cakes anywhere. The staff is friendly and the prices are reasonable. I'm not a huge sweets eater, but I'll always make an exception for a Koffee Kup cake.

Cute little bakery tucked into Springfield plaza. You wouldn't believe it is in there, but it is! Recently I bought a ton of Italian cookies for a party and each and everyone was delicious. Everyone was super helpful and friendly.

absolutely the best birthday cakes, kind of reminiscent of the days when cakes were baked from scratch. but everything we have had from this great bakery has been just that; great. miss the holyoke location.
