I had the pleasure of trying the huge pork chop in sauce with a side of white rice, their house salad in oil and vinegar and the famous cheese pupusa. Everthing was delicious and plentiful for an individual order. The owners are very nice and the place is small with regular tables, and hightop tables, but it is clean and maintained well. They also have a tv and an electronic jukebox for your listening pleasure. The one meal for me was a tiny bit pricy $18.00 for everything, but well worth it. I would definitely go back again to try everything else on the menu.

Authentic local joint. Prepare to wait a whips if dine in, service slow. Most folks do take out. Tasty papusas, next time will try their fish stew.

I am not a review person, but this place blew me away, so here goes. We LOVE home cooked and small restaurants. This place is just like home, and you can't beat the price. If this Restaurant was in my town, I would be here 5 nights a week, that's how good it is. I had the lobster soup (about 18 bucks) and it was worth every penny-and I am a cheapskate! My wife had chicken (9 bucks) and it was great. Rice and greens came wit it--all fresh. We came back for the second day and it was just as good. After finishing we asked for desert and they said it was all gone. Thinking that was OK, we asked for the bill. They said wait, and low-and-behold- out popped a great big home made desert that we busted our gut with, in a good way. They eventually did not charge us for the desert, hence a larger tip. The only caution that I would make, is that although they are located on a main road, I would not feel safe after dark. During daylight hours, still a poor neighborhood. The owners and her family work here, they are humble folks. Dinning area is very small, but super clean.

Thank you Yelp for leading us here. Tiny spot in out of the way urban neighborhood. Long wait that's more than worth it however. Locals said they order ahead to beat the wait. Food is all fresh and amazing. Large portions of simply wonderful food. Don't miss it if in Springfield!!!
