Unfortunately, our experience this year was rather disappointing. Not sure if there is new management, but the clam chowder was watery and not flavorful. We also got the chicken parmesan portion was small for the money. The seafood portions seemed to be bigger but no one was particularly impressed...

The food was good, portion was right, price is right, and space if plentiful. There is always a lot of people so expect to wait. Plenty of space inside and some more outside. They serve a cheaper/smaller lobster roll for those of you who do not want to spend $18 for a lobster roll. Clam chowder is on the thin side but still rich.

There is nothing redeeming about this place. From it's mental institution style decor to the dead eyed, weary counter staff, this place is thoroughly depressing. The food is bland and sad looking. With a countless stream of seafood places in the area, many just as if not more affordable, I cannot imagine how it is still in business.

Love Sam's. Have been going with my family for years - this is THE place for us when we want fried seafood. The fried baby popcorn shrimp, clam strips, scallops, and lobster bisque are all amazing. They also changed their fries so they're better than they used to be. I really like the indoor decorations - murals, swordfish on the wall - and the lobster buzzers are cool. There is a free water fountain, and you can order small or large 'sides' of things like popcorn shrimp (plates come with cole slaw and choice of rice, baked potato, french fries). Great for groups and kids. Not cheap, but you don't have to tip. Casual dining on the Cape!

I'm craving the platter that has a bit of everything. who am i kidding??!!! I'm just craving EVERYTHING on their menu. Yes I'm a fan, yeah, I know its all deep fried and NO I don't even care :) Hope to see you soon Seafood Sams...me and my greedy belly

I was visiting the Cape for a wedding and came to Seafood Sam's upon the bride and groom's wedding website recommendation. I was not disappointed! I had the lobster roll with fries and a cup of clam chowder. Both were delicious. I was really happy that the lobster roll was made without celery (not a fan). My only regret is that I did not have more days to try some other dishes - I've got my eye on the bisque and clam strips.

Service is fast and generally nice. I've been coming here for 10+ years and the food has always tasted great. Definitely grab a "Lunch Special" if you can, it's a little cheaper and the portions are still good size. If you want more food, just get the sides and skip the platters - you'll be quite happy! I like to "keep it healthy" when eating, but I make Seafood Sam's a meal every time i'm down the Cape. Only real con I can think of is the general unhealthy nature of fried food, but, at least it tastes great!

Just ok. As others have commented, it appears that the entire staff suffers from summer crowd burnout. Servers at the counter would obviously be elsewhere and treat you as such, its a strange & uninviting dining room and not very clean. We opted for picnic table outside. Fried fish sandwich was fresh tasting & decently prepared. I'm just wondering where the fish comes from, since they are square pieces that fit perfectly under the bun. Fries were soggy, clam chowder tasted pasty with very little of anything in it (not even potatoes!). We sent that back & requested another fish sandwich instead. Good, but tiny portion of slaw. Plenty of better places nearby. We will not return here.

Whoever said "fish is healthy for you"... never met Seafood Sammy. The fish that comes out of Seafood Sam's isn't grilled, broiled or baked... it is DEEP fried... KFC extra crispy/ execution style. It's so good but the weird thing is everything tastes the same- a lot of bread crumbs and a hint of fish... but its all good. Anything fried tastes delicious...you know it, and I know it. The Lobster bisque is the real deal. Very flavorful. Get the bowl, b/c the cup just isn't enough. Enjoy!

We had a nice family lunch- we all tried something different. Fish- fried excellently, not greasy. Crab cake side- delicious, price very reasonable. Didn't like the sauce but it was on the side so it didn't matter. Fried chicken sandwich- delicious and fluffy, not greasy at all. Baked beans- ok, not great. Prices very reasonable and kids meal was a great deal! Order at the counter and then seat yourself. Definitely a perfect restaurant for a casual lunch!

Absolutely the worst meal we have had in Yarmouth. My wife was sick for two days after eating the broiled salmon. The salmon was not cooked and the baked beans were cold. We had the steamers and lobster boil two ears ago and had to send it back. We tried it this year and they have not improved. We have eaten in the Seafood SAMs in Falmouth many, many, times. They are fantastic! Stay away! This one does not hold a candle.

I went here after a recommendation from a local and I was not disappointed. This area of the highway is littered with similar fried seafood joints. I got the clam chowdah which was creamy and delicious. I also ordered fried clams which were sweet, tender and had an interesting seasoning in the breading which made it extra tasty. The fries and coleslaw that came with were good too. As others noted the lobster buzzers are adorable. A reliable inexpensive option,

Great casual seafood dining restaurant. I ordered a lobster roll and it was great. My girlfriend ordered fried clams and they were also great. Nice clean place, and the buzzer to let you know your food is ready is shaped like a lobster! I would definitely visit again.

We go at least once or twice a summer, good prices & portions. It can be loud with lots of children. My sister loves the fried lobster. I always get the fried scallops. The food is always good quality. The lobster beepers are awesome!!!

  • Joe C.

Very good food. This became our staple of ours for the week we were there. The food was very good, a lot of fried foods, but not too much batter. Just as an FYI, it's not a table service. You order, pick up your food and sit (or go).

    Great food. $8.95

I wanted to try this place last year but did not get a chance, so I was able to go this year, the place was big, plenty of parking, ordered the fried haddock and I must say for the price, which was a bit lower than other nearby places, it was plentiful and good. I will be going back next time I am on the cape.

One year my family and I stayed at one of the resorts on Route 6, and we ate at this Seafood Sams five out of six days! Its that good! The menu is about what you'd expect from a fish place, clams, scallops, shrimp, haddock, etc. Their prices usually vary, but they tend to lean on the steep side or market price, but its well worth it for the amount of food you get and the high quality. The Clam Chowdah is some of the best I've ever had. If you are a fan of clam chowder at all, get the bowl, don't bother with the cup. I could go for a fish feed platter right about now... ;-)

I was visiting Cape Cod and researched places to eat in the area I was going to be at. After reading the reviews and looking over the menu for this place, I decided to eat here. I'm sorry I picked this place. I gave it 2 stars ONLY because my husband ordered the fish sandwich and he really liked it, if I rated this place on just what I had, I would have given it 1 star. I ordered the grilled bbq chicken sandwich. The chicken was obviously frozen, it was flat as a pancake , had bottled bbq sauce on it and a dash of oregano I believe it was. Just the worst lunch I have had in a long time. I get that his is a seafood place, but it should have quality food for everyone if that is what they serve. If you don't care about the non seafood items, then don't put them on them on the menu. What a waste of money! Very disappointed and will not be back.

  • Tanya S.

Reviews were right on about this place. There are no frills here and did seem a bit pricy, but worth it. The food portions are huge and very tasty fried seafood. The seafood platter was a ton of food that gives you a taste of a variety of food if you can't decide what you are in the mood for.

  • LJ B.

A bit greasy fast food. Some food is tasteless. Overall there are better more authentic places to eat seafood on CapeCod.

  • Chris M.

I frequented Harwichport location and went here once. Whole belly clams were exactly the same. With clams being so expensive It's nice to have solid consistency. They're not the best but they're not the worst either and they even beat Kream and Kone's so take that K and K !

    (4)
  • Pat R.

Always a good meal, whether we get take out or eat in.

  • PJ K.

Let me first start off by saying that it is very true that when you sacrifice price you absolutely sacrifice quality. My girlfriend and I were looking for a quick cheap bite to have before our long drive home from the Cape. Needless to say we were not satisfied in the least. We both ordered clam chowder that was nothing more than white water with the occasional potato. My lobster roll was pure mayo which took away from the lobster meat. And their fish n' chips is an insult to Cape Cod as a whole. The best part of the meal were the fries. I will never return here again.

I will always have a soft spot for Seafood Sam's, as it has been a staple of family vacations to the Cape for as long as I can remember. Yes, there are better seafood restaurants, but for "fast food" fried goodness, it's the jam. My choice meal includes a vanilla milkshake, grilled cheese (like Mom makes!) and the lobster bisque (creamy goodness). The lobster buzzers letting you know when your food is ready is a nice touch. The only problem I have with this clean and spacious location is that it seems to attract parents who let their kids run wild in and around the restaurant.

    (4)
  • Shannon O.

I'd place Seafood Sam's between a 3 and a 4 star place. My husband's family are long time residents of Cape Cod and we always hit a bunch of places when we visit here for a summer vacation. Seafood Sams is one of our standbys. It's not haute cuisine by no means, but the fried food comes out of the kitchen hot and isn't greasy. That makes me happy. The fries are pretty darned crisp and also not greasy. I like coming here because its a solid place for your fried food cravings.

    (3)
  • Mike L.

Simple take-out/sit-down restaurant. Prices were very reasonable. I ordered the whole belly fried clams $18 and steamers $11, my girlfriend got the lazy mans lobster $18, which is basically a lobster taken out of its shell and baked in butter with cracker crumbs on top. The whole bellies had a good taste to them and the french fries were decent, while the coleslaw was nothing to brag about. The steamers were similiar to ones I've had in RI. They had the longer necks and you have to take the crud off of them before you eat them, but nonetheless delicious. The lazy mans lobster was not very impressive, the meat seemed a little tough and not the quality we've had elsewhere in the past. All in all it was a good lunchspot but all the fried food kinda sat in my stomach for the rest of the day. I would most likely go back another yr.

Went with my gf and we ordered the broiled seafood platter for 2. Excellent! Lobster, scallops, shrimp and white fish. Very tasty. Also came with a delicious newburg saucef and choice of potato and rice . Cole Slaw was good too. $21.95 for 2. Great value. Will definitely recommend and will be back.

  • Nicole D.

I've eaten here many times. They have great lobsta rolls and pretty good baked beans. The chowda is not bad either. I was also told that they have one of the best hamburgers in Falmouth- my hubby would agree. We loved the lobster buzzers, that's fun for the kids.

  • Patricia F.

Seafood Sam's has the ABSOLUTE BEST fried seafood on Cape Cod. When our family comes to visit us on the Cape, this is the "go to" place for a fun, yummy meal!

    (5)
  • Taryn M.

Food's good, but not as good as The Original in Dennis -- not by a long shot. I recommend taking out, unless you enjoy parents allowing their children to run amok. I, for one, don't.

  • JAZON L.

Seafood Sam's is a family owned restaurant on the Cape known by locals as one of the best places for fried seafood. They have 4 locations throughout the Cape - S Yarmouth, Falmouth, S Harwichport and Sandwich. They've been voted for the Reader's Choice Region's Best Seafood in the CNC. That's got to mean something. Having been there, I can vouch they do have good fried seafood. I went to the S Yarmouth location, I guess their newest one, and it was packed. The line was out the door. The wait for food was about 30mins. There's no sit down dining with waitresses. It's counter food and you grab a seat yourself. The fried clams were VERY GOOD. Light on the batter and fried just right with the full bellies. I had a craving for fried clams so this was a great fix. I highly recommend visiting Seafood Sam's on your next visit to the Cape.

Definitely come for the lunch special. I had the jumbo lobster roll. It was just alright. Kelly's in revere makes a better roll. M husband had fish and chips - they were nice and crispy, not super greasy. Best part of the meal was the slaw and fries.

    (3)
  • K G.

Deee-lish! I am a great lover of fried seafood and on our trip to the Cape, i was on the hunt for the best breaded and fried fish in the land. We went to Kream and Kone, which was OKAY, but Seafood Sam's is the bomb. Best fried fish, best onion rings, fine looking clam strips, and even a tasty veggie burger for my daughter. Would drive back to just have another meal there!

  • Michel M.

Premium seafood - fastfood restaurant!! This IS Cape Cod! Prices are Cape Cod, but the place is clean, the service is fast and the food is hot and tasty. The utensils are plastic - same for the plates, but if you're looking for good hot seafood without all of the frills, this is the place. Oh yeah, and the cool flashing and vibrating lobsters that tell you that your food is ready cannot be missed!

    (4)
  • Ericka C.

Good place to get some cheap seafood and get it quickly. It has lots of seating inside and outside. I've gotten all sorts of things on the menu, and though I'm not usually wowed, I'm not ever disappointed.

  • Shane L.

Seafood Sam's has the best fried seafood on The Cape. This particular location in South Yarmouth tends to have better quality food than the other locations around The Cape. A good trick is to plan accordingly - this place gets very busy during lunch and dinner time during the summer months. I've been going here for years, and the best time to arrive before the crowds always seems to be between 2:00 & 3:00.

    (5)
  • Bulba S.

I have been coming here since I was a little kid, so Seafood Sam's conjures a very nostalgic feeling for me. The clam strips or popcorn shrimp were always a must during any seafood outing when I was younger. My tastes have since changed, and fried food just makes me feel gross. Thankfully, Seafood Sam's has some tasty broiled options. Unfortunately, the prices are high and other than having a certain Cape Cod charm, I don't know if it's worth paying so much to eat in a place with a very cafeteria/fast food-esque atmosphere. Not to mention it's always FILLED with irritating tourists and their screaming children (and yes, I do know I was one of them once, but at least I was never a tourist!).

    (3)
  • Justin G.

Not bad but not great either. I have been here at least 5 times and I always get sandy clams for some reason. I don't think they change their oil as much as some other places that I prefer but not everyone cares about silly things like that...

    (3)
  • Laura M.

I love going to Seafood Sam's when I go to the cape. There are a few in the area so which ever end your at you should be able to get to one. This probably sounds funny, but I don't eat seafood. So I go here with my seafood eating boyfriend or family and get chicken fingers and fries. I know I probably sound like I am 5, but that's what I get. They are very yummy here...they have a crunch to them. They also aren't very greasy. So you can also go to Seafood Sam's have a good meal and not eat seafood

If you're in the mood for delicious fried seafood and a great price, Seafood Sam's is where it's at. A local staple of Cape Cod (although closed for part of the winter) you'll find both locals and tourists alike here. Expect a line out the door and friendly service. Walk through the front door and order before sitting down, when you lobster buzzer rings, your food is ready. My mother-in-law Linda A. called it right when she said "consistently good food, every time!" She and her hubby have been coming for years and let me know that you always know what to expect. You can go wrong with any of the fried plates (make sure to check out the daily specials too!) I recommend the fish and chips plate, fries are warm and coleslaw is a great side, compliments the fish well by not being too overwhelming. They have awesome tartar sauce and make sure to ask for a lemon on the side. Also, the jumbo lobster roll is awesome, easily split between two and worth the extra money to upgrade to jumbo! get a side of onion rings instead of making it a combo plate, the onion rings are awesome! Flakey and more of a flour based breading then a crispy covering. This friendly, local spot is a great stop for any meal. Plus, come before 4pm and get lunch prices! Homey atmosphere with all things nautical. Seafood Sam's is great for groups and had lovely outdoor picnic benches as well (walk over to the taffy shop next door for dessert!!)

  • Sandro F.

It is basically pretty good, though not outstanding. It is a cafeteria style place. Order at register. Pay. Wait for your buzzer to go off, and go pick up your food on a plastic tray.l and stirofoam plate. 80-90% of the food is fried. It is VERY brightly lit. Loud and cavernous. Not ideal for a quiet dinner for two - but good if you want good seafood quickly. The place IS clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Family friendly.

  • L G.

Yum, yum, YUM!!! We ate here twice in 4 days. Fried seafood is one of those things that can go so wrong. This place does it RIGHT hence the 5 stars. Fried seafood places are a dime on dozen on the cape but this one should not be overlooked. They are fast and efficient, and the service (which is only at the counter when placing your order) is friendly and helpful even when the lines are very long. The jumbo lobster roll is perfection, the fried whole belly clams are crispy and flavorful, the house made cole slaw is fresh and crunchy and Delish. Lobster bisque is decadent. Servings are very generous and prices are reasonable. The dining room is clean and there are outdoor tables in front and back. I can't say enough good things about this place and will definitely be back!

Just inhaled a regular lobster roll then went back for another. Very good. Great place for a quick seafood bite.

Specialty: Fresh fried seafood. This is a family friendly and casual dining place if you're looking for some good seafood. The dishes aren't fancy, but it's def good. It does have a few healthy options, but why would you come here to get broiled fish when you can get that anywhere! I got the seafood platter which comes with fried butterflied shrimp, fish, scallops, calamari, oysters, onion rings, fries and two side dishes (broccoli and baked potato). Nothing was disappointing and we sat outside in the sunny weather enjoying our fresh fried food. Everything is fried by order so it was piping hot when it came out. I shared it with one other friend and we couldn't finish it because it was so large. I recommend getting the seafood platter to share for more than 2 people. They also give you these adorable lobster waiting devices that vibrate when your food is ready.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE SEAFOOD SAMS!!!!! Every year we vacation here and without question on the way someone always say's "when are we going to SEAFOOD SAMS. Never had a bad meal, never had a rude employee. Perfection at a GREAT price.

Very good seafood and not overpriced I will eat there again. I was visiting there with my family and everyone enjoyed

Simply amazing the price the food the place all wins we eat here twice a year when we go fishing

    (5)
  • K T.

The line was out the door for most of the evening, but the staff remained friendly and efficient. The food was inexpensive and quite tasty. The kids meals are a great deal though my kids weren't fans of the ginger cookies that came with it. My party of 8 had both broiled and fried options and all were pleased.

  • Boogaboo K.

Excellent fried seafood restaurant. Freshly breaded and fried. Very efficient and lines move fast. Food for everyone, even vegetarians. Staff is very friendly and nice. A great Cape Cod tradition.

    (4)
  • Krista S.

More like fast food than the clam shack I thought it was. The chowder was awful and runny and the lobster rolls were nothing but knuckle meat. I can see why the prices were pretty cheap, you pay for quality, which this place does not have...

    (3)
  • George M.

For the price you can not beat Seafood Sams By far good quality seafood at a great price I highly recommend, we have visited here a few times every year since they opened and are never disappointed

    (4)
  • Rana H.

My husband and I are Yarmouth/Dennis natives but haven't live on Cape in years. Every time we go back to visit family we go here to eat at least every other day. My husband also worked here as a teenager. It is family owned and operated and it shows. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food is amazing! I always forget how much I love their chicken snacks until that first bite and I'm in heaven. My husband usually gets a fish sandwich and onion rings. This is good simple, hand made food--not frozen! They have special batters and everything is made to order. We love you, Seafood Sam's! Don't change! =)

  • Ronald D.

Never had a bad time here foods great. I bring my family here everytime we go to the cape cheap easy seafood done right. Iv had most of the menu and some things i really like are the all ring calmari. So good. Fish is nothing exciting but far from bad lobsters cooked right. The fries are so crispy i never let any go to the trash. The gf and mother bothe love the clams and shrimp. All in all you cant go wrong here and the waits never too bad either.

    (5)
  • Shelly M.

it was ok ,,, have been there in the past and the chowder was much better back went , I found it to be watery ,,, but good still .

We are from California and this place was delicious!! Not greasy and lots of good for your money!

    (4)
  • Jennifer V.

Went here for lunch today. Not a huge fried food fan but I got fried lobster/shrimp, which came with coleslaw and fries. Hubby got a fried fish sandwicb, which came with the same. I aldo got a cup of fish chowder. Everything was just meh... except the shrimp, fries and coleslaw. Just too fried I guess but the place was super duper clean and the food came out so fast and the price was reasonable. If you like fried food you will probably like it. Not my bag though.

    (4)
  • Christine B.

Jumbo lobster roll was soo worth it. The bun is toasted and the roll was so stuffed that some fell out and I ate it separately on the fries. We asked for water, wish she would have offered tap because she charged us $4 for 2 bottled waters when they offer fountain.

    (4)
  • Nicole S.

The menu was different than what was online which was disappointing as prices were a little different and no Mac n cheese for the kids. We disliked their "award winning lobster" bisque but thought the clam howler was good (although I prefer a thick chowder) the clam stops were great but I expected jumbo gulf shrimp but as the menu had vaca he's they were med sized shrimp. Coslaw and rice were good. I loved the picnic tables outside since we have 2 little ones. 2 bowls of soup and 2 entrees for $35 is a good value. Ild go back to try other options and for more clam strips.

    (3)
  • Malvika M.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. I travel a lot and have had some amazing seafood but this was not worth it. There were maybe two tiny pieces of lobster in my bisque and the crab cakes were like something out of a bag from a grocery store served with a sauce that tasted just like the bisque. We also got the fish and chips, the fish was too oily and the fries were cold. If I could give Seafood Sams ZERO stars I would- a complete waste of my money!

    (1)
  • John G.

Simple and superb. Has outdoor seating as well. The fish is fresh and tasty. Enjoyed everything on the menu. I like that there is no table service. Perfect for lunch. One star off because rice is way too salty and chowder is below average. Bathrooms are super clean which is always a good sign of how a restaurant is managed.

    (4)
  • Ceira O.

There are a lot of options on the menu. I don't eat seafood, but the group I was with chose here to go. I got a salad and the "favorite" onion rings. My salad was good, but the onion rings were cold by the time I got them. They were extremely greasy, not that great. The service was not great and the food took forever to get.

    (2)
  • Mike B.

Pretty good place. They had deep fried lobster meat. I'm pretty sure whoever owns the place is exactly like the soup Nazi from Seinfeld. There are signs posted all over the place of what you can and can't do there and they make you give them 2dollars to use the claw crackers, they give it back, but still kind of weird. Overall, they have pretty good, cheap seafood.

    (3)
  • V N.

Cafeteria style laid back but expensive for what you get. Lobster roll:2,5* for amount and taste, sad small pieces, but at least not doctored up with extra mayo or fillers. Broiled seafood dish: 2.5* small portion, overdone. Lots of different sauces, but didn't really help disappointing fish. Chicken tenders: 3* average Grilled cheese: 3* average

    (2)
  • Shaun F.

Not to bad. A little pricey for the portions. Prob would look for another place if when I'm in the area again.

    (2)
  • Sara L.

I love Seafood Sams....Best fried clams and fish n chips around.. This is not a regular sit down restaurant fyi...meaning you order at the counter and seat yourself. Nothing is super greasy, the cole slaw is crunchy and not overly saturated with mayonnaise. ..This place is nothing fancy as far as ambiance and decor goes, but you will always get consistently great food... You might want to get a copy of the local tour bus schedule however. At certain times of the day you can get stuck behind literally a bus load of tourists that get dumped off at once. ( I couldn't tell you how to figure out these times lol) If you are looking for a quick meal, at a reasonable price....definitely go here...I take all of my family here when they are in town...

  • Matt M.

Seafood Sam's is a great value and it is seldom that I visit Cape Cod without stopping by. The menu is not overly creative, but they have all the staples and do fried seafood very well. They also offer rice pilaf instead of fries, which is a nice option. The jumbo lobster roll is great and they do fried clams as well as anyone. The chowder is below average. The ambiance is a little uninspiring, but pleasant.

    (4)
  • Jessica H.

Better than the rest of the fried seafood places near South Yarmouth. Also, they had steamers as a special! I was impressed. And the lobster-shaped buzzers that let you know when your food is done: cute. Very cute. And the picnic tables out back, also a good move. Good on you, Seafood Sam's.

    (4)
  • Stephanie C.

Might not be the fanciest place but their lobster roll was on point! There was so much lobster that it was bursting out of the bun. Lobster overload!!! We also had fish n chips and baked seafood platter. Like the saying, never judge a book by its cover definitely applies to this fast food joint!

    (4)
  • Jocelyn G.

Eh. It was ok. The inside looked slightly odd...very pastel. The drink sizes are huuuuge, but the food isn't great. Its ok. Not anything horrible or special...would definitely go somewhere else.

    (2)
  • Emily S.

Not bad, but nothing exciting. The restaurant is like a nicer fast-food place, with most of the crowd being families or old people - not bad, just a different atmosphere than a lot of the other seafood restaurants. The clam chowder was watery and not very good. The lobster rolls were fine, but smaller and not as exciting as the other ones around town. But the clam strips we got were every bit as good as other's we'd had, and cheaper.

    (4)
  • Ann P.

The girls were in town and chose this spot. I went with the flow and tried SS's for the first time. We went early for a late lunch early dinner 5:30 ish. There was a line out the door. Service was swift. There are plenty of tables in and out. I ordered broiled shrimp. It came in a foil tray. The shrimp, tail on, was pretty tasteless. I avoided the greasy crumb topping. The fries were cold and tasteless. The cole slaw was ok. Not a fan at all.

Seafood Sam's is a very consistent, clean place to get well cook seafood in an informal atmosphere. Counter order and pick-up. I have been to several of their locations and they always deliver a decent product at a reasonable price. No place is really cheap on the Cape anymore - it is a tourist based economy. I had the 'upsized' lobster roll here. It was served with the 'required(IMO) buttered, toased NE style hotdog bun and was crammed full of lobster with the right amount of mayo. Quite tasty. ------------- Tips for The Cape: The Cape businesses are sometimes only open during the peak tourist season. This is not bad, but it is often difficult to know which places are open year round and which are not. Checking websites and advertisements often do not include this critical info. Driving on The Cape is 'interesting'. The roads are not made for modern transportation and the number of cars trying to drive - especially during the summer tourist season. You may not be able to execute a safe left turn onto some of the 'major' roads without waiting your entire natural lifetime to do so - especially during the summer. The drivers are really bad. And not just the tourists. The local 'Massholes' often are just as bad. It appears that left turns into heavy traffic are considered 'right of way' here.

Very good, simple items on the menu. For example: the lobster roll was simply lobster meat & mayonnaise. No celery or other things added at some establishments, so you really taste the lobster. The cole slae was also simple. In this case I prefer a bit more to it than just the cabbage & mayo. Prices were good, and the atmosphere was very casual. I was there for the food & not to impress clients, so I was happy. I'll be back again. There were plenty of items on the menu that looked good to me, but I was plenty satisfied with my huge lobster roll!

Actually a 2.5 star review. Average food - not bad, but nothing special either. Paid Cape prices - $46 for lunch (2 adults/2 kids). Cafeteria-style place with interior decorating done ala your great grandmother with McDonalds-like benches. Older people love this place. Pastel interior, moth balls, mild flavored food and low noise. Nothing bad with that - just sayin'. We had regular lobster rolls and they were on the small side. Chowder needed salt and pepper too.

Really good fried seafood. The scallops are my favorite on Cape! It's always busy and sometimes takes a while for your food to come out, so I suggest calling it in for smoother service, and taking it to go to the beach.

The food is great for what you get. The prices are decent for cape cod. I have not noticed them driving the prices up in the summer they open in Feb and Close in Oct and the price is what it is. Nothing is greasy, I would suggest you read the menu carefully so you get what you want you can mix and match. Can not wait to go back again

Some hits but more misses. Watery , tasteless clam chowder . Overcooked fies. The broiled shrimp and scallops were good as were the oysters .

I've been coming to Seafood Sam's regularly during every trip to the Cape, and I'm just now discovering the secrets to a perfect meal. 1. Skip the platters. My wife and I were always ordering the fried seafood platter for two. This comes with a bunch of just okay french fries and tubs of rice pilaf. What is the obsession with rice pilaf at this place? Inevitably, these did not get eaten. Instead of the platter, go for a "side order" of fried seafood. Some places just call these "regular" or "large" orders of fried seafood. 2. Speaking of the side orders, how did I ever miss "fish snacks?" This is basically a big order of scallops, clams, shrimp, calamari, etc. This dish with the unassuming name will be my go-to dish from now on. 3. The jumbo lobster roll is reliably awesome, if you don't want fried food. 4. Avoid the broiled seafood. It will only make you sad that you didn't get fried. 5. They may have chowder, but save your chowder appetite for Captain Parker's, less than a mile down the road. 6. Don't forget to utilize the outdoor seating! For some reason, the indoor seating gets packed, even on nice days, leaving about dozen picnic tables on the lawn completely empty.

Was told this was the place to go and it was closing for the season in 3 days... Well, they should have closed 4 days sooner... Lobster bisque was luke warm, no indication of lobster... clam chowder, no clams, but hot, giant lobster roll, tasteless, quahog, terrible... Very bad first impression, will not be back.....

Your average Cape fast type of seafood place. Good for quick take-out. Chowder is nothing great. The broiled seafood platter for 2 - way too small but scallops were delicious. Scallops are really the only thing that deserve the stars. The cole slaw was horrible - - they use Miracle Whip!!!

Had the scallop mini plate for lunch today. It was delicious! The batter was light yet flavorful. I had it with fries and baked beans; will try a different side next time instead of baked beans. It was clean and we'll stocked (self-serve dining room). Can't wait to go back!
