I love this place! I usually make it there on the weekends for breakfast or lunch. Their coffee is tasty and so are their breakfast sandwiches! My boyfriend usually gets ham, egg, and cheese on an English muffin. I usually get the egg salad with American cheese and lettuce on a Portuguese roll. The cupcakes always look tempting when we cash out and we finally decided to grab some. To our surprise and disappointment they were not as tasty as they look. The frosting was gritty with sugar, even the cream cheese frosting. I tasted very little cocoa in the red velvet and traditionally is supposed to have sweetened cream cheese frosting and was what tasted like plain canned vanilla frosting. Everything else at the Rise Cafe is delicious! I would not waste your money on the cupcakes.

Took some time and had a coffee and croissant inside. Great selection of baked goods and treats....some of the cupcakes made me want to break down and have some for breakfast. The staff is overall very friendly except for one young girl that works there...she might have to have her head surgically removed from you know where. This is not the first time I have received this vibe from her and from observation it was the same treatment other patrons were receiving. Needs to be fixed....the other waitress was super friendly so for this time...we're neutral....

Fantastic restaurant/bakery. For breakfast on the weekends try their fresh, hot malasada. Or, at anytime, a bacon, egg, cheese on a Portuguese sweet roll. For lunch, their chicken salad has a real kick to it. Wonderful bakery selections, nice staff and extremely clean place. You can't go wrong.

By far the best !! I am a Portuguese lady who loves her fried dough .. And There's is just outstanding! They have great breakfast sandwiches and coffee. I love the lunch menu as well.. A perfect mix of sandwiches and soups. American and Portuguese ! They sell sumols which is a Portuguese soda .. This has been my favorite drink since I was a little one. Coming to the rise cafe not only puts the biggest smile on my face it takes me back to my child hood! For all you Dunkin donuts addicts out there... I hear ya! But the rise cafe will quickly change your mind about ever going to Dunkin again. The food and drinks are top quality it isn't even comparable to Dunkin. All there ingredients are really fresh! They have a drive through for those on the go! And I must add the prices cannot be beat! This is my everyday morning stop! And so much more! The lunch the dessert the everything ! There's something for everyone! The staff is super friendly and make you feel right at home ! Thank you rise cafe for making my mornings so wonderful!

I met a friend for coffee here today. It's amazing cafe! Staff was so friendly and helpful while we tried to decide what to have. Both of us decided on the cinnamon roll. They warmed it and it truly was the best I've had in a long time. There is a great selection if fresh pastry and they have sandwiches and soups. There rice pudding was highly recommended but I am saving that for my next visit. All the reviews I have read are all true, this is definitely a must try.

I got sick of Dunkins ruining my coffee, so I decided to give The Rise Cafe a shot. They make a solid cup of coffee, but you must try their Coffee Rolls, omg they are seriously out of this world yummy! Chewey, flakey, sticky, buttery cinnamini goodness.. just so good. They also have a variety of bagels you can choose to make a sandwich with, My Husband said his bacon egg and cheese on an onion was very good. It smelled awesome. I picked up a few cute decorated cupcakes for the kids when they were being extra well behaved after a shopping trip one day, they loved the red velvet. I will be back to try the tiramisu and get more coffee rolls!

I got sandwiches to go here to bring to my aunt and uncle who live in somerset. The sandwiches were good-- I called ahead and picked them up. No complaints.

Great iced coffee and the cinnamon sticks and buns are wonderful!! Nice place to meet up with a friend in an informal setting.

Hearty breakfast sandwiches, good prices and quick service. A great place to stop for a quick bite

Food is great and the prices are fair, the 3 stars are for the personalities of some of the people the work there. My wife and I have been going to the Rise since it opened and have been shocked by how unfriendly they can be sometimes. We would have stopped gong there a long time ago if the food wasn't good just based on them being unfriendly and rude. Smile once in a while and throw in a good morning and a have a good day and I bet you will have more appreciative customers.

The Rise Cafe is one of those places that I tend to avoid for my waistline's own good. I am a fiend for a good pastry and the RC has them in spades with something for sweets fans (like me) or savory seekers (like my husband). I usually get a vanilla latte or an iced chai and both are swell but the food at the Rise is really where it's at. When family of mine came from out of town we got Portuguese sweet bread to serve them from here and they thought it was from one of the "locally famous" bakeries in Fall River. Rise has a nice, clean dining room and free wifi. I've met co-workers there for business and their Internet was fine for our purposes. Personal sweet favorites of mine: Peanut Butter Cup cookies, raspberry sugar cookies, and ALL of their cupcakes. Husband likes their ham and cheese croissants and we both enjoy their chorico rolls for quick heat-up lunches. My diabetic grandmother also liked their sugar-free, colorful butter cookies and she's a picky eater, so that's saying something. Only complaint is about the service: it's really hit or miss and while I've never encountered anyone who was outright rude, I have waited in the front while the entire staff was in the back chatting and some of the servers are better at making drinks than others. Never tried their drive-thru but their service seems to be a bit slow there too just from watching them from the inside. Rise is definitely worth your time if you're in Somerset and need a quick pick-me-up and you don't wanna give your time/money to the many Dunkin Donuts in the area.

Ordered a cake for my daughters birthday. When I went to pick it up price was 1.5 times what we expected, then when I asked why the lady who seemed to be the owner came out and took over the sale. She proceeded to raise the price another 8 dollars. After she raised the price she became extremely rude and I got the impression based on the looks of everyone around me this wasn't the 1st time something like this happened. I decided at that point I did not want to make a scene so I just paid the bill and left. One other thing that is worth mentioning is the box they gave me to transport this cake did not fit properly. In my case it did damage the frosting on-top of the cake because the box would not close. That issue could have been worse but I would make a point if you order a cake from them to insist you get the proper box for it. I feel for the price I paid, I should have received the proper box to transport it. Even the guy who brought it out made a point of mentioned the box did not fit it correctly. The cake however was good and everyone at the birthday party enjoyed it. I do not believe it was worth the $58 I ended up spending on it. I guess they would be ok just make sure you get the final price in writing before you agree to it.

Went through the drive thru on a Sunday morning. The place was packed so I was sure we were going to be waiting forever with an order of 2 breakfast sandwiches,2 coffees and a doughnut. But nope! Service was pretty quick and friendly. The food was delicious. I loved my egg and cheese on a croissant, it tasted very fresh. My coffee was delicious too. Will definitely be back.

I know that it is silly to let something like a bad meal ruin your day, but there are not too many people that love cafe breakfasts quite like me. This was the first one where I was left feeling unfulfilled and very disappointed. I had read the reviews of rise and thought it would be the perfect place to grab a quick meal before heading back to work. I walked in, impressed at the amount of options that I had to choose from. I chose a simple egg, ham, and cheese sandwich on an English muffin and an iced coffee with skim milk. The girl serving me seemed nice enough and quickly went to fill my order. The first thing was that for the amount of food I got, it was six dollars. This may not seem like a lot if the sandwich was huge and fresh and the iced coffee was great. The disappointing part was that the egg sandwich was small, and tasted like something you would get in a school cafeteria. The ingredients didn't taste fresh, and there was far too much cheese on it. It tasted like it had been heated up in the microwave instead of being freshly put together. That wasn't even the worst part. I tasted my iced coffee and immediately realized that she hadn't made it with skimmed milk. I walked back in (after having already taken a seat on the patio) and asked her if she had made it with skim. I could tell at first she was going to lie and say yes but quickly changed her mind. She said "Oh, it is whipped milk (?). You wanted skim?. She redid the iced coffee. I took another sip of it and now my coffee was about ninety percent milk and about ten percent coffee, and stale coffee at that. At that point I was too frustrated and didn't even bother asking her to redo that awful excuse for coffee. Unfortunately, It was a bad enough experience that I will probably not be back. I'm sure that some of their other items may be great, but I'm not willing to go back to a coffee shop who can't make a decent cup of coffee.

Pastries are off the chain! Definitely stop by if you're in the area. I had a breakfast sandwhich, pastry and coffee. They were all excellent. After leaving we got pulled over by the cops for looking suspicious...but that's another subject.

I have not gone to Rise Cafe, but had a dinner party at my house and a guest brought a dozen cupcakes. They were so beautiful, it was actually a shame to bite into one as I hated to see such a masterpiece disappear. There were 11 different flavors from jelly filled, velvet cake, carrot cake, a chocolate with minty frosting, another one had chocolate sprinkles and curls, just so delicious.

Nice little cafe with good food and nice atmosphere with reasonable prices. Panini with fries and drink with a cookie for desert was about $11.

A cute quaint little place with fitting cafe atmosphere. Had to wait a little while before an employee recognized I was there, but not too long. I ordered a grilled chicken panini with roasted red pepper and feta and wow it was delicious!! Reasonably priced, still cheaper than daneglos and much better quality than subway! The bakery treats looked amazing too! I will definitely be back

Stopped by for lunch the other day. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Had a tuna melt, it was awesome. I also had an iced mocha, which was better than Dunkin but this place is not a coffee house. To finish it all I had an apple turnover, also awesome. Prices were really good too. I will definitely be going back.

My husband and I love the rise! It is our go- to place for a coffee, sandwich or just a little snack. We started going there when it first opened and was pretty quiet. Now it has gotten ridiculously busy on Sundays, so we usually grab and go on those days. The staff has gone above and beyond for us. We had our wedding cupcakes made there, and Jess (the owner) delivered them to our wedding site! We got rave reviews for those. Since then, we've had baby shower and christening desserts made there. We won't go anywhere else in town!

Working down here in Somerset, found this nice little place for a coffee and a pastry. Linguicia and cheese roll followed by a chocolate chip croissant.
