I met a friend for happy hour after work. Happy hour goes until 6pm in the bar area and all appetizer's are half off. Quite the deal for the assortment of high quality appetizer's they offer. We started off with drinks. We each got a giant sangria; one white and one red. They were both very sweet, not something I would order again. The Jack and ginger was a standard drink and made strong. Our bartender guided me towards their melon martini. I didn't love it and I didn't hate it, a little too sweet for my liking; definitely a lot of fake melon flavor. The lemon drop was delicious but very strong. After all the beverages we had, we definitely had to eat quite a bit to drive home safely. We started wtih the half price grilled buffalo chicken skewers and the shrimp scampi pizza. The buffalo chicken, which we weren't sure we'd love, was flavorful and not too heavy. The servicing was generous with six large skewers of chicken. The shrimp scampi pizza was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and different from the traditional grilled pizza. If you like shrimp, I'd highly recommend this pizza. For dessert we shared a dessert pizza and warm brownie sundae. The brownie sundae was one of the best we've had and a very very generous portion. The pizza was the show stopper for the evening. It was light, sweet, and tangy. With cream cheese, melba, and fruit, it was the perfect item to cap off a lovely meal with a friend. Due to the half priced menu, our bill was very low for such a diverse selection. Our bartender Nick was also lovely and made wonderful recommendations. He apparently has been coming since he was a kid and remembers ordering the dessert pizza as his entree. We will definitely be back to Chardonnay's in the future.

There are so many better options in the area than this place. They over seat people to the point where it's impossible to move around. Food is very bland and uninteresting. They try to hard to do everything but you know that old saying - jack of all trades- master of none. (Sushi? Really?). Drinks are good but that's about it.

Never had bad food or bad service here. Love the bar specials but would come even if they didn't offer them!! The food is always delicious - you can get fire grilled pizza, pork medallions, chicken skewers or even the nachos and find something you will love! The desert is also yummy so if you can save room - I recommend the creme brûlée. I come here several times a year and think I should make it more often! Top notch service tonight at the bar, I will be back soon!

Met some friends at Chardonnays on Thursday after work. Half price appetizers were fabulous, we had nacho loaded and fried calamari. We sat at one of the high bar tables. It was pretty quiet when we got there but filled up and got loud quickly. The service was great attentive, professional and friendly. We will definitely be back. Posted a picture of the giant Sangria.

Excellent find Seated right away at a nicely secluded table. Ordered a bottle of Laguna Chardonnay which was fantastic and a great buy. Prices of wine are very reasonable which makes up for the slightly overpriced food, though the food delivers on taste. The Kung Pao calamari was perfectly fried with just enough spice. Only criticism would be for a little more sauce on the plate. The lobster mac and cheese appetizer is enough for a meal and was rich, creamy and had fresh lobster meat. The chicken Gorgonzola was tender, juicy with well balanced sauce. The vegetables were nicely prepared and the mashed potatoes were very tasty. All in all, a nice find. Only exceptions would be the outdated decor and the servers attitude changing after we paid our bill. She seemed to just want to go home. Will DEFINITELY return.

Went here last night and it was better than I expected it to be! First off, at around 8:30 I called and said I'd be there in about 15 mins with seven people and if they'd be able to take us and they did! Once we got there our table was all set up and we were able to sit down immediately which mind you, I was completely shocked with due to the fact that they're ALWAYS busy. Once seated our waitress, who was incredibly nice and attentive, was already present, giving us menus, and telling us about the specials of the day. For my main course I got one of their specials which was a Chilean sea bass served with wontons and a sweet sauce, a side of greens, and jasmine rice. Very delicious! For the rest of my family that attended, I know they too enjoyed their food as well and my brothers and I even got dessert! For dessert I got another one of their specials for the day which was a cannoli cake served with a side of what I believe was cinnamon ice cream and it was delicious! Highly recommend this place for a date, family outing, or to celebrate an event.

My husband and I both had clam/pasta dishes. The amount of salt in both dishes was so overwhelming neither of us could finish. So not worth the cost.

Food is great. But last couple of visits wait staff was just okay. They were very busy though and it appears our favorite bartender is not working on the night we usual go. All I all we still love this place.

Had an amazing margherita pizza last Thursday night! The place was a bit busy when we were there but overall service is fantastic! We didn't even finish our food cause we were so full from the pizza. The spring onions made is sooo flavorful. We alao ordered combination plate and caesar salad. Caesar salad dressing was incredible!! Cant wait to be back!

Dinner was great. Atmosphere was busy on a Saturday night, but our waitress was very efficient. For an app we ordered the bbq chicken nachos and those were good. I enjoyed a yummy mojito with my dinner of ribeye steak, topped with lobster butter. My desert was crime brûlée and it was yummy as well. Prices are a bit higher, but overall, everyone enjoyed their food.

Wow was this bad. Not sure how so many people can be so wrong. To start with the service was terrible - every step of the way was slow and you never knew if you were going to see your server again. The food was alright at best - nothing special; certainly not worth the wait.

We started off looking for a place to accommodate 20-25 people for a low key retirement party just for drinks and apps. After running into many obstacles with other restaurants. Chardonnay's was a breath of fresh air! From making the reservation, to accommodating our needs to the fantastic service we received our group was extremely pleased and impressed! Thanks for making our event easy, and memorable! Thank you to Rachel and Gregg for the impeccable service and attention to our party! We will keep you in mind for future events and most defiantly recommend you to others!

Awesome food - great gem of a restaurant!!! If you are looking for a local business to support and great food and service, this is your spot. They have a bar, high top tables, an general seating. Prices were a bit high, but I got chicken skewers off the appetizer menu for dinner. They were amazing!!!! The only reason I gave this restaurant a 4 and not a 5, was because the restaurant only has one bathroom so a line was formed all night. Also, the restaurant was smaller than it appeared and it was jam packed. It was a 2-hour wait, but we had made reservations so we got lucky!

I'd tell the whole story but there's no sense. Typical problem in alot of restaurants but this restaurant gives me the impression that because their food is good they don't have to be hospitable. Right from the hostess that basically told us it was too busy to stay to the server "dan" who was to concerned about his 8 top tables and paid no attention at all to my wife and I. I was not happy to say the least. As an owner of a restaurant and an executive chef if I had any servers that treated my guests with the who cares attitude like these kids do I would be totally appalled. To the owner: your food is really good don't let your front of house dictate the way your going to treat your guests. Btw.....I used to go here all the time when I was a bachelor 20 years ago. This was the first time I had dined here in years. My wife enjoyed her food as well as I did but if I'm going to spend 150.00 for a two dinner I better get great service. This restaurant is in need of a service meeting. To the server "dan" :your avoiding me and my wife cost you a 30% tip and cost the owners new guests To the hostess: you don't tell guests good luck getting a seat. Bad form

Little neck Portuguese was delicious. Spicy with the crusty bread soaked in the sauce. I had the miso sea bass which was excellent. Juicy and flavorful with the broccolini and rice pilaf. Portobello mushroom pizza was excellent. We had to wait a bit but it was worth it. House zinfandel was also good. The mixed drink(titos and tonic) was fair.

One of my favorite restaurants - best risotto you will ever have (especially the one with pears, gorgonzola and walnuts), nachos are amazing and the dessert pizza is something you HAVE to try! Also love their mojitos - super fresh and not syrupy like many other places. My husband loves the sushi and he is very picky with that. He also says that their meatloaf and also the blue cheese burger is the best of the best. Can't ever go wrong with a meal there. The only downsides are that it can be really loud since it's always packed and it's pretty dark in there too. Never bothers me/my hubby but my in-laws and parents have complained about that. And be sure to make a reservation because there is always a wait!

I have been here a few times for their happy hour specials with no issues or complaints. On my most recent visit this past friday there were no seats available in the lounge so we decided to sit in the dining room. When we were seated we were told we had to be finished by 7:30 for a reservation that was coming in. It was 5:30 so figured we had plenty of time. But I have never had an experience at a restaurant where i was told when we had to be done. The food overall was fine. The service was very very slow, especially when we were waiting for dessert. It felt like we were forgotten. It was just about 7:30 when we left. The next day i noticed that i had an extra charge on my bank account. I called and explained there was an extra charge on my account, the person i spoke to said a lady Linda would call me back. I never received a call. I called back on Monday and left a message. I finally received a call back on Tuesday by a guy who said the waiter made a mistake and the pending charge would probably be released on my account in a few days and its the banks issue that it takes so long. This is unacceptable that a customer is treated this way. First no call back right away and then to be told I just have to wait on the bank, when it was the waiters error. I wasnt even given an apology. Im just fortunate i had the funds in my account to cover the over charge.

We sat at the bar (bartender didn't seem too interested in us) and had a few drinks and calamari and a pizza. The food was okay, the drinks were good, and the restaurant was lively. I wouldn't go running back but it was a fun night and nothing went particularly wrong. The parking is a pain, but most of the time you'll get lucky... I want to come back for the happy hour specials I noticed :)

This restaurant is awesome and I really enjoy eating there. There sangria and nachos are awesome and the service is always good and accommodating. Other than the food that I have zero complaints about, the ambiance and atmosphere is very nice and relaxing!

I would give it 2 and a half stars but it's not an option. Went here for the first time for our anniversary dinner. I had high hopes, good reviews and always packed when driving by. No wait for a Monday at 7:15, which was good, it was busy but certainly not crazy busy. To start my husband ordered the huge margarita, on Mondays if you order a big margaritas or sangria you get a free tapas app. Good deal, but check your itemized bill at the end, they were going to charge us for the app. And just throwing it out there the service was super SLOW! We ordered the scallops app which was ok, just ok. And the beet salad, they definitely skimp on the goat cheese and didn't dress the salad enough. Ordered my 2 year old a cheese burger which was surprisingly big and tasty for a kids meal. My husband ordered the sirloin med rare with lobster tarragon butter. His meat was WAY over done, shame on us for not sending it back but the service was so SLOW I would have been done with desert even before he got another. I ordered the special, risotto with corn, red peppers and scallion with sea scallops on top. It was ok. Definitely not the risotto I thought was coming out. I thought creamy aborio rice, nope. Actually it looked like brown rice, no taste really I don't think they use salt. We wound up ordering my son ice cream because he was done and our food wasn't even out yet. I was expecting more from this place. Very disappointed. And no I wouldn't go back or recommend it. For the price I would rather go somewhere else.

Came here for dinner tonight and everything was delicious. We used gift certificates so we ended up ordering 2 apps and we both ordered the sirloin steak with lobster butter. We did the Tuesday 2 for $22 deal which was awesome and super affordable. My steak was very undercooked from what I ordered and our waiter Dan took it right back, put it on the grill and re plated my entree which was great. To top it all off he gave us a free dessert since the steak wasn't cooked right the first time. Great service. We will definitely be going back!

I have heard nothing but great things about this restaurant so me and my husband decided to try it for ourselves lets just say we wouldn't come again very limited menu and loud you can't even hear each other talk you had to yell it was not someone I enjoyed I would not go back unless it was just for drinks

I usually do not give out 5 stars but this place definitely deserves it! My girlfriend and I went here on a Monday which to be free Tapas with any margarita. Tried the Shrimp pizza mmm yum for main course my girl had the Tuscany chicken and I had a burger with Lobster mac n cheese. Very satisfied with the meals and when our waiter heard we had driven over 1 hour to come to the restaurant he offered us a free dessert :) awesome place make the trip to Seekonk and visit "Chardonnay"!

My experience here was most likely my fault - I didnt go on their actual website and view their menu, instead I read reviews here. Chardonnays. Their sign reads, "Pastas, Salads, Wood Grilled Pizzas." With a sign like that, and a name like Chardonnays, I was expecting an Italian restaurant. Wrong. This place has a far more Asian inspired menu. And seafood. Seafood, seafood, seafood. Everywhere seafood. I counted the menu items, there are roughly 5 meals that are not seafood (a cheeseburger, steak, meatloaf, and pasta with red sauce - all of which I could've gone to a Gregs or Chelos and enjoyed for MUCH cheaper. Pasta with red sauce is $14?!). Want to guess what all 3 of their specials were that day? You got it, seafood. It just really surprised me. The sign out front should read, "Seafood, Sushi, Wood Grilled Pizzas." I DID enjoy my burger, don't get me wrong, but I was expecting so much more! It seemed like their menu was perfect for sharing with friends, but only if you like seafood. So, before you go, read the menu on their website.

Great place! Food was great and drinks were huge! Inside decor is great (don't let the outside fool you). Had the meatloaf with a side of lobster mac and cheese, great meal! Prices aren't bad either. Get there early, place fills up quick on the weekends!

I love this restaurant so much I can't stand it!!! Very energetic atmosphere, so don't expect an intimate experience. Having said that, the atmosphere is amazing! It's a little industrial, but dark and cozy. The food is so good, I've never had a bad meal here, but to be honest, I usually order the chicken gorgonzola because it's my favorite dinner in the world!! Come here and meet people after work, or come to dinner for a special occasion. You won't be disappointed!!!!!

  • Jaclyn P.

Don't let my 3 star rating give you the wrong impression that I won't be coming back again. Because I'm sure I will be back again. However, I think my standards have risen a bit over the last two years and prices are pretty steep for this part of town. Also the Maserati in the parking lot which I can only assume is the owner's was a little off putting considering my husband's chicken dish was almost $20. So...message received: we're paying this much for our food so you can pay that much for your car. Anyway...you can dine in the bar area if the table wait is too long. Vegetarian options are few and far between but plenty of seafood for the pescatarians. The thin crust pizzas are pretty good but won't blow you away. Overall, it's a decent dinner option for this neighborhood. It's always packed though so maybe it's just not totally my taste. Give it a try and see for yourself. Either way, I doubt you'll be disappointed, but you might not be that impressed.

Love the pizza, huge plates of nachos, and the happy hour... but everything else is just... meh these days. I've usually ventured here on a Friday or Saturday night and the bar tends to be packed.. If you want to sit and eat a meal it seems like there is always a table. The mixed drinks are overpriced, and sometimes I felt like I was at some kind of a meet up spot? The ambiance is nice though, dim lighting, little candles on the tables and like I said you can't beat the price of the apps during happy hour! I will be back for nachos and pizza, I just tend to hide in a corner table to enjoy them.

  • Ray E.

Limited menu for vegetarians, but all dishes are well-prepared and portioned generously. Wait staff is attentive, but often very busy (craps shoot on speed of service). Same for the kitchen and bar. Have been here many times, and will definitely return in the future.

  • A Z.

The food here is GREAT. I could steal a star because they make weak drinks, but maybe that's because their Sangria is the size of my head. From the shabby outside decor, you'd never know what a hidden gem it is inside ... modern, hip and delicious. The blue cheese burger .... a juicy cheesy pile of awesome. The pizza ... beyond fantastic. Pork medallions ... amazing. Ribeye w/ onions + bleu cheese ... delish. Sangria ... ENORMOUS. I even like their green beans. What? And their california roll tempura ... I like that too. Other than their skimpy chicken teriyaki skewers, these folks can do no wrong. The crowd is mixed but upscale. Wine linens on the tables with candles, but a large, more casual bar area. Don't let that big gaudy stand-alone sign in the parking lot fool you! They might need a new logo or some updated outdoor decor, but these guys are having no trouble packing the restaurant based on the food -- you know, the most important part!

I absolutely love this place! Good music, drink and app specials (good on Mondays) and pizzas that you can take home and are ready to bake. I like it better when they cook though. If I am in the mood for pizza I know where to go. They make a fig jam and arugula pizza with house made dried tomatoes and goat cheese crumbled on top. A furious combination of goodness. Its fresh and sweet but cheesy and crunchy all at the same time. The sangria is delicious and comes in red or white. The picture for the restaurant has a picture of a lady holding one. If your ever down on rt. 44 shopping or buying a car, take a break and go have a pizza and a drink, it'll be worth it.

My second time here, service was great. We went for happy hour specials- what a great value. We had the calamari, pineapple and bbq pizza and mozzarella and tomato pizza. My favorite and reason for going back the dessert- Pizza Melba- It was so delicious that I forgot to take a picture!

So I have been going to Chardonnay's for years - being originally from neighboring East Providence. This place is a little gem in Seekonk, where besides a number of chain restaurants, places like this are hard to come by. Which brings me to the only reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5. Can we talk about parking, kids? The lot IS ALWAYS FULL, and clearly not big enough to accommodate the restaurant. So, it can be frustrating as you troll the parking lot for 10 minutes or more, hunting for patrons that are leaving in order to take their spot. So onto food...the menu is eclectic and tasty. They have sushi, which I have had in the past. Sushi is one of my favorite foods, so I am pretty picky about it. I have to say, they do a decent job with it here! But their pasta dishes are fantastic, as are their pizzas and burgers. My last time here was for a birthday party, where we started with calamari and their fig jam and arugula pizza. The combination of sweet/savory is addicting on this pie, and I could have eaten the whole thing! For my entree, I actually opted for the blue cheese burger, which comes with sauteed mushrooms and onions, all topped with wonderfully sharp blue cheese. It was delicious and perfectly cooked, as were the sweet potato fries I got on the side. And for dessert...OMG. Their peanut butter chocolate cake was AMAZE-balls. It was a peanut butter mousse between layers of chocolate cake, all enveloped in chocolate ganache. It was like eating a fancy funnybone. Holy moly was it good! Chardonnay's always satisfies! You will not be disappointed.

My boyfriend and I have been here several times and it never disappoints! This restaurant is always jammin and it has a great atmosphere. Food and drinks are great, we've honestly never had a bad meal here and we're self-admitted somewhat food snobs as we both work in the restaurant business. Good values, they have happy hour & late hour specials everyday - something you don't ever see and special days throughout the week. We tend to sit at the bar and the service is always good. One of my favorite things here is the music that is played throughout the restaurant - slow jams, old school, you name it. Whoever controls the music, keep it up! This has become our go-to restaurant. Their fig and goat cheese pizza is amazing!

Great food. Very reasonably priced. Great service and the atmosphere warm and inviting. Started with the pear and Gorgonzola salad - delish. Just the right amount of dressing, sweet pears and tangy balsamic perfectly balanced. The pork tenderloin entree was fork tender. Just the right amount if sauce with super fluffy mashed potatoes. Friend had the se bass and it incredible. Firm and meaty not a trace of "fishiness" But the piece de resistance was the cannoli cake dessert. Oh my god. Can only describe it as heavenly. Server was pleasant and professional. Entrees were right around $20. Which IMHO was appropriate for the portion size and quality. I will be back.

Never disappointed here. One of the best restaurants in the area. Food is outstanding. Gets packed so make sure to make reservations on the weekends. Favorite dishes: pork medallions. Orange salmon. Calamari, antipasto salad, and Portuguese mussels are great appetizer offerings.

Chardonnay's where do I begin, you and I have a history, after working at the old grist mill I would often visit and spend majority of my tips on food and drink it was always a fun time. Half price appetizers on the bar is just the best thing ever and your discount for fellow servers is great too. I love your Christina martini, the drinks can be a little pricey for what you get but the 1/2 price apps make up for it, although your drink menu could be updated for a little more creativity but oldies can be goodies too! Service is unremarkable but not unpleasant there is always prompt greetings and smiles even if it's late night, and they always offer menus, conversation with the staff is minimal unless John is behind the bar, he is old school, and a hot shit, love the nights I walked in and he was behind the bottles! Really no complaints just could use some updates to the drinks and apps but overall you can count on consistency!

We dined here with another couple, all of us for the first time. My wife and I got there early, checked in and went to the bar to wait. Took a while to finally get noticed by any of the bartenders. It was a packed bar with no seats, so I get they were busy. Got some drinks and waited for our friends. Good but not great service at the bar. We got sat and ordered more drinks for the table. Service was quick. I cant remember our waitresses name but she was a very good server. Attentive throughout the dinner. Food courses came out appropriately and never felt rushed. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Overall it was nice. But it was lacking the wow I like. We would definitely go back. It's a nice place and the food is good. Atmosphere is nice with good decor as well.

We have been coming here for a few years and each time has been excellent. I can honestly say I've never regretted a visit. Atmosphere is relaxed with dim lighting, with an intimate feel, especially at the high top tables. Happy hour deals run every day from 3-6 and after 9:30. Deals include half price on all appetizers which are the best around. We haven't ventured too far on the entree menu because we love the apps so much. The highlights: BBQ Chicken Nachos: Best Nachos around. Huge portion that usually will be all we eat if it's only the two of us. For 13 bucks it's worth the full price, but at half price app time, even better. Comes with olives, scallions, BBQ or buffalo chicken, or plain, with cheese and a perfect amount of jalapeño sour cream. Calamari: Something we usually get each we come here. Not heavily battered or greasy like you would find at other places. Calamari isn't rubbery and always tastes fresh. Lightly seasoned, great with or without marinara. Clams Portugeuse: A warm bowl of deliciousness. Excellently seasoned broth with clams, tomatoes, chorico. Perfect starter or combo app with something else. Pizza Rustico: I'm a basic pizza lover so I prefer this as a pepperoni pie without the extras on it (mushrooms). Thin crust style pizza with lots of flavor. Perfect for snacking on later if you can't finish it. Spicy Tuna Tempura: wouldn't have thought the few sushi items would be as good as they are but this is a hit for sure. Excellent sushi item hidden amongst all the other gems. Again I can't speak for the entree items but you won't go wrong if you like any of the above, especially if you get them at the happy hour prices. Now that I've written this review, I think I'm gonna head over there!

My husband and I really enjoy this place. The menu offers a nice range of items, all well prepared, I love the blackened chicken salad and my husband loves the orange ginger salmon. They often have half price happy hour appetizers in the bar, which are a great deal. They also have lower price dinner deals mid-week. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.

I've only been here for the 9:30 PM happy hour, so I can't speak to a full-blown dining experience, but I've been hankering for the thin crust pizza ever since that fateful Wednesday night. Sitting at the bar and asking for the after hours bar menu produces a bevy of choices on a budget. Pizza is the best, sushi is average but only a fiver. We also had the special shrimp and some greens. Yum. Music is wonderful and appropriately loud. Crowd is the mature, single and ready to mix and mingle type. Go forth and be bold with getting a seat at the bar, your only challenge now is getting served.

Overall: yum, too much salad dressing, wilted lettuce (returned for a fresh one) awesome, huge sangrias x 2!! apps and 3 entrees were awesome though. cod (with yummy jasmine rice), steak and tuna entree. i got the 3 course menu for 29.95 (app, entree and dessert) never had a bad meal here. btw, we were told 1.25 hr wait but had a table quickly. in the meantime, we sat at an open space and someone served us drinks and apps (not at the bar). i thought that was pretty nice. service was very good.

Had a really nice meal here with the wife. We started with the Clams Portuguese (littlenecks and little chorico pieces in a nice broth on top of a crostini), and for my main dish I had the chicken gorgonzola...both of which were delicious. My wife had the side lobster mac and cheese and she enjoyed it but realize that it is truly a side dish and you should only get it if you have a smaller appetite. The atmosphere is dark so it's a nice date night kind of place, and the bar has two huge HDTVs that are excellent. The clientele is a little uppity (if I were a single 40-something I'd probably hang around the bar if I wanted to find a companion, ha) but who cares, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and that's what life is about. The lack of the fifth star is due to the service. Our waiter only gave us water after we asked (and it took a while for him to get it), and after our meals were served (not by him) it took a good 15mins before he came back to check up on us. By then my wine glass had been empty for a while so I ordered another glass but really shouldn't have as by the time he returned with it I was pretty much finished with the meal. He also didn't serve us any bread...oh well.

I went for Valentines day. Alot of people seem to love this place and I would like it as a bar but lets talk about the food. Menu selection is just weak. I went for easy and got the steak with the blue cheese and butter. The steak was rare, not medium. As in barely edible rare. The only reason I ate it was so my date could eat hers. The flavor to the blue cheese was weak. More butter than cheese. The rest was forgettable and my girlfriend liked her meal but would not say she loved it. We had a glass of wine each and an appetizer of teriyaki chicken. I prefer it a little less gooey but thats just a personal preference. Those were good. The bill was a bit higher at $80 but not really unexpected. Service was good and we were checked on often.

Wow, what a meal! The drinks are delicious and very well priced. The calamari was perfectly crispy. We ordered the pork chop and the ribeye which were sooooo good! Though the prices were a bit much. Great ambience too.

Love this restaurant. It has a great atmosphere and awesome bar. The sangria (white & red) are delicious and anything I've tried from the menu has been great. My fiancé LOVES the fig arugula pizza. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is I'd like a few more menu options as I don't do sushi or most seafoods.

I'm not sure why on earth it is so dark. (I really like to see what I'm eating.) However! I keep come back to Chardonnay's at least once a month, so let me tell you what they're doing right: food. Chardonnay's has appetizers for everyone. There's calamari, something with tuna, buffalo chicken... Just to name a few. There's also these fun little things called GRILLED PIZZAS. These pizzas really are what keep me coming back here. Thin crust and perfectly crispy- these pizzas are packed with flavor. The Girlfriend and I have tried a few different kinds, most recently the Barbecue Chicken topped with procuito, scallions and red peppers. To die for. We inhaled it. The buffalo chicken appetizer, while sounding like pub food, is actually very tastefully done. Its grilled instead of breaded and fried, and it makes me wonder why other restaurants haven't ditched the fried ones. The servers are hit and miss. We've had some fantastic ones who recommended pizzas. We've also had some who like to disappear. The parking lot is tiny and might give you a panic attack while driving in circles in it... But the inside of this place is calm and relaxing despite being loud. Every table gets a white tablecloth and a candle. Its the little things like that that make my meal. Overall this place is loud and a little dark but it does start a night off well. If you're looking for just a little something, like quick but classy pizza and apps- this is your place. Ps: Drinks are huge. Margaritas and martinis are the biggest I've seen.

Go here and get the fig jam and arugula grilled pizza, the flavors are so amazing! Sweet, tangy, slightly salty and perfect grilled crust which isn't like a crispy cracker. Delicious!

Not really used to this whole yelp thing, but this place is a hidden gem!!!! The bartenders are beautiful on the inside and out!!! They will make you whatever you want, even if it's not on the menu!!!!! Try the lobster cardinale; it's worth it's weight in saturated fat!!! The BBQ chicken nachos are plentiful portions; and the Melba is the best dessert pizza around!!! You haven't had a dessert pizza until you've come here, that's for sure!!! I can't even imagine my life without this place!!!! #paradise

We just arrived in Seekonk. Being hungry and on the road most of the day, we consulted Yelp and decided on Chardonnay's. After being advised to shy away from their line of sushi, and stick to their Italian fare, I chose carbonara while my GF chose the daily risotto offering. We also had a few appetizers of cheese stick, chicken strips, Caesar and house salads and fish tacos. Our server was friendly but often absent, presumably servicing other patrons. The fried food was good, not to difficult to mess up. Our salads were very basic... Really nothing to rave about, but both salad dressings were very tasty and to my unsophisticated palet seemed to have been made in house. The taco was very nice, juicy with plump well seasoned fish. Unfortunately, our entrees were not as good. Not to say they were bad. Just not as good. The risotto was served with sea scallops which were so over done they needed to be cut with a steak knife. Furthermore, the dish was super oily. The carbonara on the menu was to be served Cajun style with smoked bacon mushrooms and peas. The flavors were bland and incomplete. The CHEF did not check the dish prior to letting it out of the kitchen and it was served to the customer with out the peas. Our server did check on us once as the food was served, prior to us sampling our meals. We were seated behind the host stand. I placed my un eaten dish on the edge of the table to bring my concerns to any member of the restaurant staff. I caught the eye of several servers and floor supervisors looking at my dish, looking me in the eye and looking back at my dish. There needs to be some one in the restaurant who can take charge, and check on tables. By the time our server returned to the table, Everyone was finished eating. She asked me if there was something wrong with my dinner and I said, "shouldn't the carbonara be severed with peas? She looked a bit taken aback. Then asked whether I wanted them. Of course I want them, that is what I ordered. Ridiculous.

My wife and I visited for her birthday on 12-13-13 and we were very impressed. We went later in the evening to avoid the crowd but it was still crowded. I take that as a good sign and I wasn't wrong. We were seated almost immediately since it was wife's birthday. That was a nice touch. We had a very friendly and knowledgable waiter. I was a little disappointed that they no longer have Chilean sea bass but my kabob trio was awesome. It came with fresh greens and jasmine rice. No complaints, everything was delicious. My wife got a strip steak and she loved it. It was cooked perfect and perfectly seasoned. We split a lobster Mac and cheese. I could eat that every day. We had a great experience and will be back.

Went there for New Years dinner... Nice atmosphere kind of loud but may have been the occasion! Food was delicious, I think that may have been the best burger I've ever had. Wine selection was nice. Tried a Moscato it was like apple juice! Wish I knew what it was called! Definitely would recommend! You definitely get what you pay for!!!!

My first trip to Chardonnay's was for a baby shower brunch yesterday, so I will update this review once I eat a "real" meal there. Brunch was fantastic though! I loved the interior of this restaurant; it had a wine bar feeling. It was clean and fresh and modern. The brunch buffet included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, waffles, fresh fruit salad, hash browns, pastries, strawberry sauce and fruit dip. My only complaint was the scrambled eggs were cold by the time I got them back to my table and not very good on top of that. Everything else was superb: the bacon was high quality and cooked perfectly, the French toast was good, the waffles were light and fluffy inside with a crisp exterior -- topped with strawberries and a dollop of fruit dip, and they made a perfect post-brunch dessert. I could have ate the entire bowl of fruit salad: red and green grapes, watermelon, cantaloupe, honey dew melon, strawberries... all so ripe and fresh. Looking forward to having a dinner at Chardonnay's to get a real feel for the place.

Decent option for the area! Pretty crowded at night..may want to have reservation, unless you don't mind the bar area or waiting. Good service. Excellent grilled pizza! Tempora battered sushi...random and not that great.... Chardonnsay's should just stick with the Italian/appetizer theme.

Open late! It seems like every other restaurant in the area closes at ten! We were happy to drive down the road a bit to dine here since they serve food until eleven. My husband loved his pork medallions and wants to come here from now on every time we are in the area. I was amazed at the pizza that was served as the kid's meal- as large as my steering wheel and one of the best thin crust pizzas I've ever tried, and I'm a New Yorker! There were tvs at the bar but the whole place had a family vibe. Couldn't have asked for better service. Bring a sweater, the A/C was blasting ..

Supreme local establishment. Ambiance fantastic. 20 something's up will enjoy the night. Fresh food. Margarita for two is top notch. Lobster Mac and cheese A +++ crab cake very good. If you are looking for a nice place with excellent service at a reasonable price, this is the place to be. Did I mention the lobster Mac and cheese?!!!! Good people. Good stuff.

So I am giving this place 3 stars instead of 4 stars based on my ridiculously awkward experience last night... I do genuinely like this place. Last night was my second time there, both with a large party. The atmosphere and food are both great. Both times we went, it was very busy so the place obviously does well. Thankfully both times we had a reservation. I'm not sure if there's a minimum for the party but I do recommend making one if you plan on going on a Friday or Saturday night, especially with a larger group. Ok.. so here's my awkward experience. I will try to make it super short. Towards the end of the night I went to use the ladies room. I waited forever as someone was in there (its a one person restroom). Finally the lady comes out and tries to hold the door for me. I am pregnant and in my third trimester. The hallway to the bathroom is super tiny and I declined her nice gesture saying its ok, I got it. And she pointed out she was holding the door and I said, it's ok, I can't fit. Finally she leaves and I get to go in. I leave the restroom to find her standing there, I assume waiting for me. I ignore her, sorry I may be in my young 30's but I am definitely too old for drama and I walk to my table. I hear her mumble something to which I assume was a word to describe a female dog. Whatever, no biggie. I go to my table and explained why I took so long and we all joked about how awkward it was. Well... the woman, who was prob in her 40's or 50's follows me and is on the other side of the wall next to our table listening to me and started screaming at me! I mean, she LOST it! My friends intervened saying listen, you're yelling at a pregnant woman over the bathroom and she basically said I needed to go home (I'm assuming bc I'm pregnant?). I'm sorry but I am out to dinner with my friends and drinking water. You're sitting at the bar throwing back drinks.. maybe you should go home. I don't recall much of what she was screaming but there was a lot of back and forth between her and my group (who was trying to get her to just walk away), I was too busy laughing at the situation. Her friend finally pulls her away and that was that. Now, I have mentioned in previous posts that I have worked in the service industry for years... never have I ever witnessed anything like that and I have seen some interesting encounters. It was comical and absolutely ridiculous. If I were to witness that as a server, I would have gotten a manager and asked him or her to remove this person as she was causing a scene and obviously had a little too much to drink. Instead she sat at the bar for at least another 20 minutes or so with her friends. Whether or not she continued drinking, I don't know but it did bother me that she was still there. We all joked that she was waiting outside for me to leave the restaurant. But that is my reason for the 3 stars. When a patron gets so out of control like that, that person should be removed as they were making our experience, as well as other consumers in the restaurant, very unpleasant. For the amount of money we spent there last night (we had a party of 13 people so it wasn't a small bill), we should not have had to deal with that, even if it were a party of 2. The staff apologized AFTER she left which was fine but they probably should have done something when she was screaming and flipping out. I do enjoy the food and the atmosphere but I would probably wait some time before going back. Hopefully I won't run into her.... but she apparently frequents there (as per the host and some of the servers). Tips: Pizza is excellent! And if someone holds the door for you, pregnant, skinny, overweight, whatever you may be... squeeze through and say thank you.. unless you want the wrath of too much to drink lady.

Honestly, we've never had a bad meal here - it's a solid staple for us and conveniently located right off Rte 44. A bit on the pricey side, but well worth it for the quality of food and beverages. Every time we've come here it's been crowded - even as early as 5-5:30, so the service has never been super-speedy... but having said that, if I'm going to go out, I like to take my time and I've never once felt rushed here (which I HATE!!), so it's worked out well for us. There's plenty of seating, and even an outer-bar area where you can sit if all of the tables are full - we've done this a couple times and have really enjoyed it. Also, we've never had a server who hasn't been friendly and tended to us well (while sometimes on the slow side) - we've always been pleased with the service! LOVE their skinny margarita - patron, cointreau and squeeze of lime - perfect! They have a pretty extensive cocktail menu and it looks like there's something for everyone, I stick to the rita every time though! They just added some more items to their menu - the cod with fresh tomato/basil salad is absolutely delicious, I've ordered it twice with extra veggies instead of rice and it took all that I could not to lick the plate clean - fish has been perfectly flaky and just exploding with flavor. And they just added the most amazing blackened fish taco appetizer - anyone who knows me knows that I'm a fish taco-holic and these are by far THE tastiest I've found anywhere in the area! If you're at all like me with these crazy cravings, drop everything you're doing and go get one!! We also had a really scrumptious s'mores dessert not too long ago- graham cracker crust, chocolate and marshmallows that they toast right at your table with a flame torch, pretty cool and absolutely scrumptious. Also worth noting, their take and bake pizzas are AMAZING!! A little pricier than what you'd pay for at the grocery store, but so packed with flavor that it's definitely worth the couple of extra bucks every now and then. A really thin, fire grilled crust and fresh, fresh toppings, yum! Call ahead and pick one up on your way back from a crazy work day, pop in the oven for 10 minutes and get to work on a bottle of cab while you're waiting. This would get 5 stars if the service was just a little bit faster, and I'd also like to see them put more emphasis on the use of organic and local ingredients - or if they're using those already, note that on the menu! The playlist has also been a little over the place (Jay-Z to Sinatra within the half hour) - we'll definitely be back many more times!

i love their food but after many disappointing moments, my girlfriend and i have shunned this establishment. I previously visited and enjoyed my food and subsequently tipped well. however over time the evenings where myself and my party had to wait 30 minuets to even be given a menu began to bother me. eventually i got fed up and myself and my girlfriend simply gave up and left during an evening in which were were utterly neglected and have yet to return despite how much we enjoyed their food. as two individuals who worked in the food service it is rare that we abandon or criticize an establishment over its service however this establish, ent has gone above and beyond as far as poor service goes.

Love this place. I've had great service every time I've been and the food is delicious. Some of the highlights are the nachos, scampi pizza, dessert pizza, and the risotto. Their menu has a good variety of food so you can pretty much find something for whatever mood you're in. Oh and i cant forget to mention the sangria!

We've dined at Chardonnay's a few times in the past month and were pleasantly surprised. A strange place for an upscale type restaurant, something you wouldn't expect in this part of Seekonk. The restaurant is different, a chain restaurant setting with a Mom & Pop restaurant feel. We have only tried appetizers and a pizza so far and have been somewhat impressed. The Ahi Tuna is delicious, served over lettuce with a wasabi dressing; the calamari seems to be far over-breaded so it absorbs a lot of grease, couldn't really taste the squid; grilled pizza was excellent, tasty pesto with fresh tomato's and mozzarella, the lobster mac though flavorful was very runny. The service is friendly and efficient, they stay on top of drinks and check to make sure you like your meal selections. We will try again.

Based on several visits not by my own choice(meeting place chosen by friends), in a word, this place is pretentious. The waitstaff has been consistently unfriendly and it's always too hot inside, especially in the winter months.

We went on the recommendation of a friend. Lamb Lollipops and Antipasto plate a good start. Sushi was pre-made and refrigerated. Came to the table cold and with no flavor. Do not get it, no matter what the server says! Pork Medallion dish that was raved about was too sweet and over cooked. Margarita, though large, was with a powder sour mix and lots of ice. Wine list had a variety from low to medium priced wines, good for any budget. Draft beer selection was varied enough but not exciting. However, service was very good. Hostess and waiter were attentive and helpful!

I think the name fits - a dim, intimate-first-date-in-a-late-80s-movie kind of vibe. Complete with smooth jazz soundtrack. No doubt why this place is so popular; it really is the only thing going on in this part of town. SO POPULAR. If you think you're gonna swing by on a Friday after work or Saturday after errands, dream on. Since the happy hour app prices are from 4-6 (and after 9:30) every day, the place gets packed in early. Unless you want to hold one of those red buzzing things for a couple hours, make a rez. Nice service. Really basic beer/wine options. Ridiculous "-tini" list (my husband and I played a game, if you were held at gunpoint and had to drink ONE of these...). Some real misses on the menu - talking to you blackened chicken salad. BUT... The one stand-out that will keep me returning, that I simply can't get out of my head: The thin-crust pizza with goat cheese, arugula and fig jam. WOW!!! Get it.

I've gone to this place many many times over the years and it's great. I love it. The food is always good, whether it's an appetizer or a dinner. Have never been disappointed. We went to Chardonnay's for fathers day dinner this past Sunday. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table which was in the corner of the restaurant, which I liked even more because it was so dark in the restaurant and we got to open the shade to let some light in. After sitting for about 5 minutes our waitress came over and took our drink orders. After another 10 minutes she came back with our drinks and told us the specials. Finally she came back and took our dinner orders. This whole time we were kind of wondering where the bread was, then our appetizer came and we had ordered the Calamari, which was okay, a little soggy and rather small portion. After we finished the app my husband got up and walked around, saw all other tables had bread, so he went and found our waitress and asked her about it, she said oh yes I'll bring some right out. The bread came out and seconds later our meal came out. Both mine and my husbands rib-eyes were over cooked, when the waitress finally came over to ask how our food was, we were almost done with the meal, we told her they were overcooked, she looked perplexed and said "I can take them back and have new ones cooked, but it will be at least 15 minutes" we of course declined. The side of lobster mac and cheese was okay, but it was almost completely devoid of lobster, and at 10.50 for a side I expected at least some chunks of lobster. The desserts were good. We had some of our leftovers wrapped up to bring home, we saw the waitress drop my leftovers on the floor(they were packaged up and in a bag) and she never said a word to us about it and never even checked to see if everything was okay, which is was not, the container with my rib-eye was crushed and split open and was leaking over the other package of food. The food was not horrible, but it wasn't outstanding either, but the lack of attention by our waitress was deplorable, the fact that she dropped the leftovers on the floor and didn't do anything about it, and the fact that we had to ask for bread, halfway through our dinner was unacceptable. I will not be going back to this restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone.

I really like this place the food was excellent , the music was on point, and they really take the time out to consider people. Right by all the table they have a hanger which you can put your bag on or coat/jacket. Chardonnay's was a wonderful experience and well worth the wait. We went on a Saturday night around 7:00 and were quoted an hour for a table so we lingered in the bar for a short while and enjoyed a glass of wine and got seated at a high-top within 15 minutes. The portions were ridiculously huge! We shared the nachos and I had tomato bisque and pan seared, wasabi tuna. Everything was wonderful and we had so much food left over. There were plenty of items of the menu that sounded delicious and I'm eager to go back again and again.

We had dinner 8/3/12. As a Friday night it was jammed but our reservation was honored on time. We told Brian we weren't in a hurry, which sometimes means you'll have to track the waiter down in the kitchen when you are ready. Not Brian who kept checking with us. I had the Lobster Cardinale and my wife had the Cajun Shrimp Carbonara. Both were excellent and provided each of us lunch for two more days. The prices are reasonable. Kind of noisy, but it was a Friday night crowd. Will go back.

I've been here twice. The first time, I remember it being delicious. Amazing. We went tonight and it a bit crowded, which is normal for a Friday night but everything was just OK. My risotto (which is my favorite meal ever!) was SUPER salty! My beef medallions, which I requested as Medium were charcoal-ed. The waitress also failed to offer a new beverage until mine was empty - empty due to the over-salted risotto. So overall, meal was OK. Venue was a bit loud but my guess is it's because of the vaulted ceilings, plus it was a Friday night, which is understandable and makes sense. Definitely worth checking out and a place I will revisit and try again. 100 times BETTER than any chain restaurant could ever be, that's for sure!!!

Very good! The atmosphere was great, the sangria was huge, and the food was very good too. I got a burger and we was cooked perfectly...not the best burger I've ever had, but very good. My wife got the kabobs and loved them. We'll deffinitely be back to try some of the other items that looked good. It's a little pricey so not too often, but worth another trip back.

I give this place 4 stars: good food, attentive servers, clean. A bit lacking in ambience. Came here for a family event, had a lunch buffet with baked white fish, salad, pasta, mashed potatoes(yum-o!) and fresh out of the oven bread. All food was presented nicely and very flavorful, the servers taking care of our large group were friendly, professional, and glasses were never empty. Next time I'm in town, I could add this into my rotation of eating establishments to visit.

One of my favorite restaurants in the Providence area. Never had a bad meal or service while dining in. I been going there for over 9 years, the menu does changes from time to time but luckily my favorites stay on. First with the appetizers, I would always get the calamari which is very good and great portion for a appetizer, but once I switched up and got the bbq chicken nachos, there was no going back. These NACHOS ARE THE BEST AROUND. NO SERIOUSLY. Check them out. For entrées I would recommend the pork medallions or lobster cardinale. But my favorite is the lobster. Seafood heaven on a plate. Loaded with Lobster, Shrimp, Scallops in a rich pink sauce with pasta.. Sooo good. Everyone I bring or send over there says the same. For dessert GO with the pizza dessert dont remember the name but ask for it. You can also take it to go and they box it premaded and you just gotta throw it in the oven. Love Love Love Chardonnay's

I went back....It was friggin fantastic!!!! My sister and I splurged big time but it was so worth it. We started off with the nachos...We practically cleaned the plate off. Then we split a pizza, forgot the name of it but it was a play on a margarita pizza. It was really really really good. Finally, I figured out what everyone was raving about. And then we split dessert. A slice of chocolate cake with whipped peanut butter in the center and it was coated in chocolate. It was oh my god amazing. Out waiter was really funny too. Great service, we were both drinking diet cokes by the gallon full and he was right there to bring us another refill. Great sense of humor too because my sister and I were both sooo hungry when we were there you would think that we had never seen food before. I can't wait to go back and try another kind of pizza.

The food here is fantastic. Everything is cooked perfectly, even the pan seared scallops and the calamari-which are VERY easy to mess up. The pizzas are my favorite. It is often a bit loud in here, as the bar has a bustling crowd every night, but if you ask you can get a table farther away where it is more peaceful.

So what if this is where mid-centenarians come out to play? Chardonnay's is the perfect let's-get-a-drink-and-a-bite-to-eat location if I find myself in the 'Konk or the Bucket shopping, at the gym, visiting family, or going to see a movie. Chardonnay's is neither too frugal or too fancy: it's not one of the hoards of chain restaurants on Route 6, but it's cool to roll up in there in gym duds if you've just come from Planet Fitness. Sidle up to the bar or the high-tops - preferably before six or after nine thirty so you can rock the cheap-ass happy hour menu - and enjoy a pleasant range of fare: from grilled pizza to fresh salads to simple sushi, and a well-varied list of appetizers. Pair a couple of those plates with a giant sangria, dim lighting, chill service - and I'm one happy lady! Their sangria isn't the strongest concoction, but it also isn't the sickeningly sweet mess that I usually expect out of those heinously ginormous glasses (there's a fair amount of ice in those bad larries, too). Their Parmesan crusted pre-grilled pizza crust makes a great base for their pizzas (also available to take and bake); and the portabella and caramelized onion pie is completely crave-able. Small plates of note: the clams portuguese and beef tenderloin with portabella - both steals for seven bucks each. Their soups of the day are solidly executed, well-proportioned and never too salty. Usually, I'll do a glass of sangria or wine, a pizza to split, a cup of soup, and an arugula and goat salad and it will set me back a whopping twenty bucks total including a hefty tip. There definitely is no other place in the immediate area that can compete in price, culinary quality, or atmosphere. One gripe/note: because of the grilled pizzas, you WILL leave stinking like the grille. I usually make sure I am wearing something that is easily launderable and leave my jacket in the car - another great reason to come straight from the gym!

My fiancee and I went here last night because we heard about Restaurant Week in Rhode Island, and we decided that it was a good time to go try somewhere new. We ended up ordering from the RW Menu, which had a lot of items from their normal dinner menu. I ordered the Risotto of the Day, which happened to be a delicious sausage and prosciutto mix. My fiancee ordered the Kabob Trio, which was shrimp, beef, and scallops (?) served over rice with peppers and onions I believe. She thoroughly enjoyed it. We also ordered a side of Lobster Mac-n-Cheese, which, sorry to say, was not very good at all. The sauce was a little watery and didn't taste very homemade to me. However, this was the only negative thing I can say about this place, because even their dessert (homemade Tiramisu) was phenomenal. I wish I could remember the server's name, because she was very pleasant and accommodating, even though it was a busy night and she had a group of 7 to take care of in addition to us. All in all, it was a great experience and we can thank Restaurant Week for opening our eyes and helping us find a nice spot not too far from our house...well done!

Just had a baby shower here...Sunday brunch was fantastic. So many compliments from the people attending- everyone was super nice during the planning process and the actual event. People loved the food, atmosphere, everything- many said they'd go back and try it out for dinner as a result.

The atmosphere here was very romantic, great for a special date night. We came on a Sunday & were offered a free bottle of wine with our meal (& given 5-6 options for the wine) which was a nice touch. The waitress had excellent recommendations for the food & wine too! We started with the scallop appetizer which was very visually pleasing & tasted amazing! The sauce on the scallops had a spicy little kick to it & the seaweed salad that came with it was delicious! I ordered the orange-ginger glazed salmon which came with rice (that was creamy & very tasty!) and a salad. I was a little disappointed that the vegetable it came with was just lettuce though, I feel like it would have been much better with a steamed vegetable. It almost felt like a cop-out for a side to the dish. My date ordered the Portuguese clams with chorizo & it was delicious! Overall the food was delicious, the prices a bit high ($19-$21/plate), but the service & atmosphere was wonderful! I'm sure we'll recommend this place to friends & be back sometime in the future to try more :)

really like this place, especially for the location! You don't have to drive into Providence and deal with parking and traffic, just come to Chardonnay's! You can make reservations no matter how big or small your party, and the place is always hoppin'! I have been here numerous times for after work drinks/appetizers at the bar, as well as dinner with friends, mother's day, date night, and have never had a bad experience. The service is always wonderful and fast, the specials are always amazing, as is everything else I have had on the menu. My favorite is the stuffed sole with mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach, which they often have as a special, but I think it should be on the regular menu! The Wedge salad is HUGE and delicious. Desserts are good too. I really can't say anything terribly bad about this place. The noise level can be pretty high though so be prepared for that, and there is only ONE bathroom stall, which is crazy for a place this busy. I wouldn't recommend bringing children, and you might want to dress up a bit (ie, no ripped jeans or sweatshirts), but I don't think there is a dress code. Nice atmosphere.

We went with my husband's grandmother a couple of weeks ago. It's a nice place to go for dinner and it's not too expensive. I had their fig/proscuitto/goat cheese pizza and it was delicious! I am craving it right now. Their fried calamari was okay. It was very oily and since they have a piece of paper on top of their table cloth, there were oil markings that annoyed my husband grandmother. Around Seekonk I have not been to too many restuarants so this one stands out to me.

This place was fantastic! I went with friends during restaurant week and was pleasantly surprised. The place was jamming (didn't expect that) and the food was amazing. The owner has another restaurant, Meritage, which I'm also looking forward to trying.

First things first, open table showed no openings for last Saturday night, so we checked again just to make sure, and all of a sudden a 7 p.m. appeared. We booked it. A few minutes later a manager called us and said there was a glitch with Open Table, and there were no openings. They encouraged us to come down and they would try to squeeze us in. We arrived and were seated within 30 seconds of arriving. Nice start A+. The waiter immediately came over and took our drink orders. The Riesling we ordered was good, and the waiter came back a few minutes later to take our orders. This is were there was a major hiccup. We ordered the Clams Portuguese as an appetizer and for our meals I got the Braised Beef and Pork pasta and my date got Sushi. The appetizer took around 20 minutes to get. Not a super long time, but still longer than we expected. The clams were very good, and the sauce they came in was exceptional and yummy. Would have been nice to get some extra bread with it. Next we waited for our main course for literally about 40 minutes. This to us was unacceptable. Especially considering my dates California Roll tasted like it was someones left over and it was squished together, indicating to us it was pre-packed, and not freshly prepared. I got the Braised Beef and Pork pasta, and due to the fact the meat was all shredded up you dont get to really taste just the meat, its more like a meat soup with Ziti in it. Still tasted pretty good, I just wish there were chunks of meat. The disappointing part was from the time we ordered our meals to the time we were done with them we never saw the waiter, about an hour with no service. The waiter finally came over and asked how everything was (too late) and if we wanted dessert. We ordered the brownie with ice cream and it was quite good. The restaurant was very busy, however it seems to me they have great room for improvement. I'd try it again with the hopes for a better server and to try something else on the menu. I hope to leave a better review next time.

Anyone I have ever introduced to this restaurant has really enjoyed it. I particularly enjoy the dim lighting. Who wants to feel like they're eating under fluorescent lighting. The happy hour appetizer specials from 4-6 is the best value in town! Sushi & pizzas are always tasty. My personal fav has to be the zippy shrimp.

Don't go here between Jan and April (not sure the exact time period), Chardonnay's hard liquor license is ineffectual. Only beer, wine and liqueur occupy the bar.

Chardonnays has pretty good pizza, though I think their pizza was better years ago when they had a location in Cranston and the chef was a former Al Forno cook. If you're a fan of fried calamari this place can come through. Just a warning...the restaurant is VERY loud at dinner.

I have nothing bad to say about this place! Nothing! My husband and I received a gift card so we decided to check it out, I wasn't sure what to expect so I made a reservation. Good idea. We got there and it was packed but we were seated right away, this place is clearly well run. I like how it's a casual restaurant but is also elegant, with dim lighting yet there's a bar of loud sox fans to lighten the mood. My kind of place! Our waiter was friendly, big plus. We ordered a couple of blue moons, a filet special, a lobster tail pasta dish, as well as Portuguese clams (with spicy tomato sauce, onions, chourico) and seared scallops for appetizers. The clams come with a big ass crostini in the middle of the plate that soaks up the sauce, who does that?! I almost asked for more bread to sop up the rest of the amazing sauce, hell I almost tipped the plate into my mouth to finish it.. but alas, I refrained. But the thought did cross my mind. The scallops were spicy and perfectly cooked. I love that they were served on (I may be wrong) seaweed? Crunchy deliciousness. Reminds me that next time we will try the sushi. The steak was tender and flavorful with a mushroom sauce. The pasta dish had the same spicy tomato sauce as the clams and I loved it. I even wore some of it on my white sweater. I devoured the lobster tail, mussels, and clams, but barely made a dent in the pasta with spinach. It will be my lunch tomorrow and I will sop up the sauce with a big piece of bread. Everything was amazing, we will definitely be back. Also worth mentioning, 3 drinks, 2 apps, and 2 entrees, only $89. Not bad at all considering filet and lobster were involved! Thank you Chardonnay's for a lovely night out.

I met a friend here for a drink and was going to stay for dinner but we ended up going elsewhere. I was appalled at this place since it is the sister restaurant to a classier upscale spot in East Greenwich RI, Meritage. The name does not match up to this place. The location is on a main road in the middle of strip malls and looks like an old Ponderosa restaurant. The interior is open and the bar is smack in the middle of the place. The noise level was crazy and I guess I expected from the name something more low key. This looks like more of a sports bar. The menu is a slew of items thrown together on two pages, from buffalo wings to pasta. It didn't add up. They offer half priced appetizers at certain times of the night. Don't bother with this place, its a waste!

I've been going to this restaurant since I was a kid. I love the food and the prices aren't bad. They also have a great deal: you can get half price appetizers (which includes all their pizzas--which are way more than i can eat) every day before 6 and after 9. My favorites are the gorgonzola & pear salad, the bbq chicken pizza, and the huge margaritas. The have a pretty extensive menu of drinks and all the ones I've had are good.

I have visited this area often, and after going here for the 2nd time, I think I can review it. The food is awesome. They have such delicious pizza. The owner actually worked at the acclaimed Al Forno's (famous for their original pizza in Providence), and they have the same, if not better brick oven pizza. The crust is so thin, and the toppings are great. Along with a pizza appetizer, I had the Pear and walnut Gorgonzola salad and it was delicious! The dressing was a little tangy, but the flavor was awesome. I will definitely come here again!
