I am by no means a froyo expert but I thought the frozen yogurt was very good. I kept it simple, a brownie "bottom", topped with peanut butter yogurt and triple chocolate yogurt. They had a large number of topping options but I was happy with what I had. My only real complaint would be the brownie. Although it tasted fine the edges were baked crispy and impossible to eat with the plastic spoons. I broke a few on it.

Make it yourself and sold by weight? Thats not for me.kiddie corner hangout.. I will go to BerryLine in Boston its no comparison and many times better! Just the taste alone!

Best frozen yogurt around!!!

For that kind of money I could have done without the shoving and pushing from other customers in line to get to flavors and toppings. It was chaotic and unpleasant....Orange Leaf is a better set up and has better Customer Service.

zinga is great! the frozen yougurt is the best and the have all of these differnt toppings to put on! they change the flavors and toppings daily. just fyi they weight it and they charge 49 cents an ounce so wacth hoe much you put in because it will really add up if you overfill your cup. the first time i went i spent $9 on my froyo! but overall its great! :)

My fave froyo place is Mixx in Allston. It's self-serve also and sold by weight. But living in Saugus, driving down to Allston when I get a sudden craving is not that convenient. So when I heard this place was opening, I was jumping up & down with glee. Maybe because of my expectations, I was quite disappointed. The first time I went, the flavors were not what was listed on their FB page. I was really looking forward to their mango tart, but i persevered. After sampling all their flavors, I went for the pomegranate instead. They were out. Went for the original tart, also out. Decided to go for a trifecta of salted caramel pretzel, chocolate, and cafe au lait. I was not totally satisfied but decided that they just had a few kinks to work out... The second time, they ran out of sampling cups and were handing out spoons instead. Not very sanitary. I went with the "Italian style tart" and loaded it with fruit. Honestly, not bad at all. My BF who normally hates froyo, admitted his cookies & creme was like eating regular soft-serve. I must say, their yogurt is very creamy, but also sweet. Their Birthday cake was like eating cake batter x7. My only other gripe is the 10245339954 high schoolers who hang out there. I understand, it's the burbs. Besides the mall, the parking lot by the CVS, where else can they go? Still prefer Mixx, but not a bad alternative if I'm too lazy to drive.

This place is great! Build your own frozen yogurt sundaes! My nephew gets super excited - "Where are we going buddy?" -- "Zinga!!!!" My favorites have been the cookies and cream and the peanut butter, though the last time we went the peanut butter wasn't in, so I made a concoction of vanilla bean and dark chocolate covered with hot fudge, peanut m&ms, and Reese's peanut butter cup chunks. Unbelievably delicious, and totally murdering the point of the 'fat free' yogurt. The nephew loves "Birthday Cake", and recently got to try a Reese's peanut butter cup chunk out of my towering monstrosity. We go a couple times a month. Great place, with or without the kid. (But way better with)

Good but the Orange Leaf chain is a tad bit better. Is froyo a fad, or are these parlors here for good?

Used to have good flavors but they don't have them anymore :(

I was very excited to finally get the chance to try out Zinga but when I entered Zinga the floor were very sticky and the air reeks the smell of garbage mixed with fruits. My boyfriend and I headed towards the back of the room to where the self serve machines were to look at the flavors. There were a variety of flavors to choose from and I picked mango. As I was looking at the flavors I notice there were a lot of fruit flies flying around the yogurt machines. DISGUSTING!!!! Not was it only near the yogurt machines it was also on the toppings. There were a lot of different toppings but seeing the fruit flies land on top of the it gave me the chills. Overall, the yogurt was fine as well as the toppings but I will stick to Mixx or Pinkberry. At least their store is much more sanitary then Zinga.

Just opened this summer! It's great to have a self-serve frozen yogurt place close to home, that offers a variety of flavors. We usually have to go into Boston for the flavors we love. It's clean, its yum, staff is friendly .. usually about 10+ different flavors that change every so often. I'm simple though, my favorite is the Italian tart. Go check it out!

Delicious dessert! 49 cents per ounce which Is kinda pricy but lots of different flavor a are offered with tons of different toppings! You can also get brownies or waffle cones on the bottom! I recently tries a swirls which is like a mcflurry.

I've been here a few times and it's been okay. I wouldn't say spectacular but it's just any ordinary self-served frozen yogurt in the hood. You go into this vibeful atmosphere and you choose a cup. Then, there's many various flavors that you can choose from or even taste try using the little cups. I always go for a coffee type, or chocolate type of goodness. Once you fill your cup, you head over to the toppings station and they offer a various and plentiful amount of toppings you can choose from. Among them, my favorite are: mochi, brownie, cherries, and popping boba. Then, near the wall are more toppings which you get out of tubes. I like the walnuts, peanuts and coconut. But there's so many you can choose from, it's like an endless creation possibility. Anyways, lol. So then you weigh your creation. They have this special where if you get the exact amount as listed, you get it for free. But I haven't been so lucky so perhaps I may need to go back soon to test my luck again. Regardless, a fun place to go if you're just finishing up an epic family outing, or a place to hangout with friends or even a cool place to take your date while you gaze into their eyes while dripping froyo all over your brand new polo.

Who knew that froyo would be the craze of summer 2012? I wish I had and gotten in on the ground floor by opening my own little froyo cafe! Ah, dreams. Anyway- everywhere you go there are frojo eateries opening up. They all have the same design; heavy on the self serve, based on weighing what you manage to bring up to the counter. My friend and I are totally on to their tricks and just fill up about half of a bowl which comes to about $4.50 and is plenty. This location claimed to have an awesome assortment of flavors, but only some of them were available. It was a mess of people that gave me an insta-headache and not the good kind caused by the delicious frozen yogurt. Novelty and hot weather and this place must be making a fortune this week. The line moved relatively fast. Lots and lots of kids. Lots and lots of people sampling and trying to cut into the line. They have a huge "salad" bar with fruit and other toppings. A whole row of granola and cereal dispensers for the customer that just needs to top off their yogurt sundae with fruit loops. I've been to other locations that had staff that were more helpful. We saw one person handing out "cone" bowls and a few peeking out from behind a door and that was it. I think they should have someone monitoring the line and the dispensers. Would I return to this particular location? Probably not. The novelty is already wearing off for me anyway, and it's not a particularly healthy treat despite some claiming to be fat free and good for you (ha). Fine for a treat on a day that reached 100 degrees though!

Flavors were horrible. Tried the "peanut butter" and it was more like "salted peanuts." Also tried the "salted caramel pretzel," and it was all salt and no caramel. It tasted more like popcorn than frozen yogurt. Also, the place was full of teenagers, at 10:00 at night. Including the staff. Stick to Orange Leaf. More variety. Cleaner. And no rude teenagers.

This place is disgusting! The employees seem bothered to even be there and act like customers are a nuisance. Way overpriced especially for soft serve that tastes like food poisoning and nightmares

When I came back to the area last summer after studying abroad, everyone was talking about Zinga. I tried it out and I was a fan right from the beginning. So many flavors to chose from, so many toppings, and even a rewards program! This location in particular should be renamed Zinga - Saugus High School because it seems to be the hangout for that crowd; even the staff is high school aged. As a college student, I felt like a senior citizen in comparison. At first you could have as many free samples as you wanted; you could try all of the flavors. Then all of the sudden you had to ask for free sample cups. Then a sign appeared that said you could only try the new flavors (new for who? for you or for the store?). And then finally there was a sign that said you could only use a sample cup once due to "health" reasons (that makes no sense). I understand that they're trying to limit the amount that they "give away" but I'd rather not blindly choose. At least with ice cream the flavors are well established. This whole frozen yogurt craze is relatively new and so are the flavors. I've also tried the Kenmore Square location which is naturally an older crowd (next to BU), but I was annoyed to find that the rewards program points are unique to each location. For example you have Saugus points and Kenmore points that are independent from each other.

Worst customer service experience I've ever had at a frozen yogurt shop. Ive worked at two different froyo places in the past and understand that the jobs two main duties are customer service and cleanliness. This place lacked both. The toppings were sloppy and not refilled. The fruit is normally my favorite topping and they were soggy and sitting in the juice at the bottom of the tray. Not to mention the employees were terrible. I was the only person in the store for 5 minutes with melting yogurt on a scale considering whether or not to just walk out when a girl finally came out from the back and told me that I should have gone into the back room to get her attention...The employees (2 teenage girls) were constantly on their phones and ignoring customers as they came in. Manager really needs to be more involved with the employees or find new ones. Will never be returning or suggesting this place to friends. I hate to be so negative, but this was a bad experience to say the least.

I'm not sure if the frozen yogurt here quite justifies having an exclamation point in the business name, but I'll give it the a-ok. They have some interesting flavors, such as the salted caramel I recently tried, and the toppings bar is extensive, but I just don't enjoy the yogurt here quite as much as at Orange Leaf. I find it a tad icy, like there's just a hint of grittiness whereas Orange Leaf is smooth and creamy every time. Zinga does taste good though so give it a shot and compare for yourself. Lord knows there are about a billion options all of a sudden for pay-by-weight frozen yogurt, so some research is in order.

So many teenagers running around with no respect to other customers and doing disgusting things like pumping the sauces directly into their mouths. GROSSSSSSSSS!!!! I'll stick to Orange Leaf in Salem.

We were excited to try Zinga anticipating the grand opening of the store in North Andover. This was our first visit to a Zinga. We stopped in last night on our way home from a dinner in Boston. First Impressions were the over-flowing trash can to the right as you walked in the door. Flies were all over the trash. We picked our serving cups and had to wait while a three really obnoxious teenage girls were each taking one of the small sample cups, (given to them by one of their friends who worked there) and was totally appalled watching them taste each flavor then reusing the same cup to move on to the next flavor. It was disgusting and very unsanitary. They didn't even purchase anything. They just walked out of the store after filling up on free samples. No wonder many of the machines were empty. I can't imagine this store is making any money. The topping bar was also a mess and very poorly stocked. The flavors we wanted were empty and we ended up having to go with vanilla and chocolate. We avoided the topping bar and decided it was probably more sanitary to choosing toppings from the dispensers. We waited 5 minutes before someone finally came out from the back room to weigh our purchase. I would definitely avoid this poorly run and very dirty location in Saugus. I really hope the New Zinga's in North Andover is better staffed and hires competent people to service the customers and keep the store clean and well stocked.
