I used to love this place! Huge bagels, reasonable prices and a convenient location...what happened?!? Come to think of it. Bagel World hasn't changed that much except for a slight increase in prices. I'm probably the one who's changed. It used to be a good place to stuff my face during college but lately my taste buds must have really evolved because everything tastes really bland. Made the mistake of going inside once & the place was a mess! Well, having said all that, I still go here when I feel like a bagel rather than dunkins'. Maybe I'm just not into bagels that much anymore....

Best bagels around... enough said.
(5)Kate G.
It's ok. As a former SSC student I can tell you that there were always lines to get into this place on school mornings and often also during lunch time and other peak times. The bagels are pretty awesome and the bagel sandwiches are truly worth the wait. They have a huge variety of coffee flavors also, and the staff is always really friendly even at the most busiest of times. The parking is kind of hit or miss especially during the busier times and inside seating is limited. My best advice is to take it to go, and enjoy!
(3)Charles B.
five stars for bagels? Yes! Its not that the bagels are just great. Its the Bagel sandwiches that put me over the top. Salt bagel with roast beef... yes plain bagel with salami... yum egg bagel with bacon egg and cheese... oh yeah get here early and bring some bagels to share with everyone!
(5)Shells C.
Bagel World is one of my faves, I ask myself why sometimes because as some have already mentioned the staff is rude and brisk, is it because they are trying to get orders out? I think not. I have been frequenting this place since the late 90's and they have always been that way. I am a regular so they are a bit nicer to me. I hate that my beloved spinach bagel is always out, but I do tend to go later, towards close. I love the chicken salad and the sausage egg and cheese bagal is fresh and delish. The drive thru is always banged out but it's worth the wait.
(3)Stacey K.
The best and I mean the best bagels around!! And the coffee is out of this world good!! I would drive out of my way 30 mins to have this for breakfast.
(5)Ryan F.
Fantastic bagel sandwiches and perfect if you're looking for a small breakfast/lunch on-the-go. The menu variety is traditional -- not too adventurous. And everything is surprisingly inexpensive. Only complaint is the occasional long lines and indifferent service. But it's expected when a sandwich shop is located next to a college campus.

I grew up in NY so I am kind of a bagel snob. I've lived in MA for many years and Bagel World is quite seriously the closest to a NY bagel I've had, and is the only bagel I will eat in the Boston/North Shore area. Their everything bagel is insane good, and I also really like their turkey sandwich (deli turkey with cream cheese, chives, onion, and tomato). They have great salmon spread as well and their coffee is also pretty a awesome. Note: don't go during peak hours (ie: the mornings) if you are in a rush... There is usually a line out the door!

There are things you put up with for good food and there are things that just add to your disappointment. Let's start with the latter, because there ain't much in the former category. The place is sub-frathouse filthy - spilled food everywhere, bathrooms that look like Trainspotting 2 is under production there, no soap and / or toilet paper, etc. The lines are out the door despite nearly as many employees as customers at any given time. Most employees seem to be standing in the back doing things unrelated to making food or otherwise operating a foodservice establishment. The prices are average for the genre, and as amounts of money you get rid of go, pretty low. Compared to the quality standard, though, not worth it, and this is compared to Dunkin Donuts, which is not saying a ton. Staff are about as courteous as the average RMV employee, so leaving without a stab wound feels like some small victory. If the food were on par with your average NY / NJ bagel shop, this would all be worth it. Alas, not so much. The bagels themselves are just big doughy lumps with little crisp and too much settled flour to have any real consistency to them other than that of wet plaster. The cream cheese is forgettable, and any hot topping you get is of mediocre or lower quality and is MICROWAVED IN FRONT OF YOU, as if a deliberate insult, rather than griddled. At least Dunks has the decency to hide their microwaves in shame - when they don't use a convection oven, which is at least a step above nuking. The result is a sloppy, doughy, flavorless heap, for which you can at least say you didn't overpay. I would call the food quality (not the experience of being there) forgettable if it were not for the gastric repercussions which echo through every fiber of your being just long enough in the future as to prevent you from going back and demanding some reparations. Forget this experience I shall not, though I will try - believe me, I will try.

This is a great place to go for bagels. It's a special treat to bring home a dozen on a weekend morning. There is a huge variety. The quality is consistently great. Tasty flavors and spreads, fluffy chewy large bagels. They might not be the best bagels in the world, but they are still really really great. This place is very busy. Expect long lines. Just give yourself time and don't go there when you are in a hurry.
(4)Joseph T.
Are you looking for the most amazing breakfast sandwich ever? You've found the place. Go, just go, this place is amazing. Be prepared to wait about 10-15 minutes, everyone else loves this place too. But it's worth it. Prices are cheap cheap cheap and staff is very busy, but attentive and friendly. Also great coffee and lunch, or go just for the best bagels and spreads around. Many local restaurants order their bagels from here.
(5)Victoria W.
There's always an insane line, but it's worth the wait. Great, chewy bagels, good spreads and nice folks.
(4)Michael P.
Let me get this out up front: the bagels are the best I've had in New England since I moved here in 1994 from NJ. What knocks my review down to a 3 is the mind-blowingingly inefficient way they deliver service to customers. Instead of having two people take orders and 5 others fill orders, they have 7 people taking and filling orders, taking money, etc. 99 times out of 100 i got there for a dozen bagels and cream cheese to go. I've asked why they don't have a "bagel only" line. They told me they did but people kept ordering drinks, too. I then asked them if they ever thought of SAYING NO. They hadn't. PRO TIP: If you know you want a dozen bagel or so and cream cheese, call your order in the night before or right when they open. You can then jump the line and pick up and pay.
(3)Athena L.
The best price for quality! I wish Bagel World was closer to my house in CT. I only visit when I get my hair down out here a couple times a year. They are extremely quick & they put a twist on your everyday bagel. I suggest cucumber and cream cheese on a spinach. Always fresh. Always my favorite!!!!
(5)Max L.
If I was just rating the food, I'd give six or seven stars. The food is amazing. If I was rating the service, I'd give less than zero. The only reason I can think of for why the lines here are so long is that Bagel World management must think long lines scream "this place is amazing!" to passersby. The reality is that the lines are a product of Bagel World's laughable inefficiency, as has already been explained in depth by other reviewers. For a while I would call in orders by phone to avoid the lines. Now they just don't answer the phone anymore. That's great, Bagel World. What if I actually needed to call you about something other than placing an order? The drive-through is just as bad as waiting in line inside. Honestly, the food here is not worth more than a ten minute wait. If Bagel World fixed their service I would gladly give glowing reviews, but for now they're just a model of how to create annoyed customers. I feel bad for the people that work here.
(2)Colleen C.
French toast bagel is the best ever! Coffee is really good too! Tuna salad is fresh and perfect! My favorite place to go weekly, THERE is a drive thru!!!!!
(5)Tiffany R.
So the good news is that it's super cheap and pretty yummy. The bad news is that it's always busy. Salem must really love their bagels. The drive-thru lane is always 5 cars deep with people coming at you from both angles. It's like some crazy highway traffic jam to get bagels. Also bad news is their staff needs a brush up on good customer service. But what I think is the slap in the face is that they have a $5 minimum on cards which is neatly displayed facing their cashier on the window of the drive-thru. Uh......... that doesn't really help notify those of us that just carry cards. I know I should have $2 on me but I don't. I know that credit cards take a fee to process and understand your minimum. Just display it prominently *towards the customer* so you spare your customers the embarrassment, ok?
(2)Megan L.
Nothing better than kicking off a weekend morning with an egg sandwich and an iced coffee from Bagel World, and the New York Times. Awesome. Totally worth the wait in line!
(4)Erin C.
I know the atmosphere isn't great. But it's not really a sit-in kind of place. I know the line is always wicked long. But that is totally worth it. I've been a fan of bagel world as long as I can remember. Even just a plain bagel with plain cream cheese is phenomenal. It puts bagels at the Dunkin next door to shame. And for those of you complaining about the service, you try dealing with crazy long lines of obnoxious customers (excluding myself, I'm a delight) and having to get to work at 4 or 5 in the morning everyday. I'd be cranky too. The location on Canal street can be pretty tough to get to sometimes. I work in Peabody so I have been going to the Bagel World on Sylvan St. lately. The lines there aren't much better but you're about 1 minute from Rt 128 making it easy to get to where you're going once you've gotten your 15-minute wait time bagel. As long as I have the time to wait, I wait. It is worth it.
(5)Phil D.
I live in Salem, I have driven to DD next store for a few years. DD was closed one day so I wondered over... I have not been back to DD since. The bagels are REAL they are boiled, unlike most places that sell a "roll with a hole". I eat a toasted garlic bagel open faced with Lox spread and garlic crumbs on the ton. It is the VERY best. If you are looking for a bagel they have 24 different varieties to choose from.
(5)Alicia B.
Quite tasty. I know this isn't Burger King, but I wanted things my way. Meaning, I customized my order. The young lady behind the counter was fantastic. If I could have slipped her a huge tip (knowing she would get 100% of it), I certainly would have, without hesitation. She handled my order perfectly. And it wasn't only my order, since I was ordering for four people, with 3 coffees. I chose a bagel breakfast sandwich, but I asked for a LIGHT spread of their raisin walnut cream cheese. Thankfully, I was asked if I wanted the spread on both sides; i declined. My breakfast sandwich was made to perfection, and having chosen the french toast bagel, I can honestly say it's the best bagel I've ever had. I had never had one of that flavor, so I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. My BF went with the pumpernickel bagel with the veggie spread. He didn't eat it all, saying there was simply too much cream cheese. I saw his bagel; they piled that stuff on! The other half of the order was easy to deliver - a french toast bagel with plain cream cheese. And then there were 3 coffees - two hot pumpkin spice coffees and one cold, of the same flavor. Yet, here's the catch: one hot with cream; the other with milk. And the iced needed cream, too. How she kept this all straight is beyond me. Like I said, she deserved a huge tip. I know it's Boston, and you aren't suppose to be picky (yes, it was me who wanted real milk in my coffee), but if an old lady at the counter can pull out her dozen bagels and count them in front of everyone, then surely I can ask for a little customization. Right? Right. As for the cost, it was absurdly cheap. We're talking not even $11 for all that. Unbelievable. As for the wait, it wasn't that bad. Maybe 10 - 15 minutes tops. It's worth it.

$@&*(&$@*($@(& That's what i said when i had my first bagel from bagel world! This was during my visit to Boston and my girlfriend has been raving about this place since we had got there. Like i have said in my other reviews when my girlfriend starts talking about somewhere, she knows 110% what she's talking about. In your minds your probably thinking how good can a bagel place be?! It's like experience a re birth having one of these bagels it is unbelievable, out of this world good. We got there early for Sunday breakfast/brunch and the line for me was a little long but my girlfriend and our friend told me oh please this is nothing the line is usually out the door and around the block. There were many choices and different ways to style your bagel to whatever your taste palette maybe. Me being the boring guy I am opted for a simple French Toast bagel with cream cheese. I believe that when i'm trying anything new best to keep it simple and not be to crazy because you don't want some condiment over powering the flavor and taste of what the dish should be. This wasn't just any bagel it was a MIND BLOWING TASTE SO GOOD MAKES YOU WANNA SLAP YOUR MOMMA BAGEL! GODDDDDAMN!!! French Toast Bagels are you f*cking kidding me, i felt like my body was in the twilight zone, while i was eating in front of the girls I was at a lost for words. I was so overwhelmed by heavenly flavor that I went into my own little dream state, that i was alone with a dozen bagels eating by myself like a fat over grown glutton until i fell into a food coma. I quickly snapped out of it and told the girls how great i think the bagel was, but they knew by my silence that i loved it. I think i was literally shaking a few hours later from the taste ahhhh so so so damn good!!! My girlfriend made one of the best decisions though she bought an extra one so she would have it for later, of course being the saint that she is she decided to share it with me for a late night treat, god you gotta love having a good woman!!!!! I also got a pleasant treat the next day before i left Salem, a friend had an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese on it! I had never had scallion cream cheese before but damn it was creamy and decadent, had me clicking my heels like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz I LOVE BAGEL WORLD!!!!!!!
(5)Emily F.
Best bagels ever. Best spreads. Awesome sandwiches. Amazing low price.
(5)Lia M.
Okay, so the bagel's don't compare to Katz's, but they sure are good. And cheap. And they have many flavors to choose from. They have pumpkin! Also, instead of coffee, try the chilled cappucino, it's so good. This place is often crowded (lines out the door on the weekends) and you need to fight your way into the drive through line. I like this location better than Peabody. They are really rude in Peabody & so many times my order has been screwed up. Also, you can get a toasted bagel with Nova lox on it for under $5. Last time I went somewhere and asked for that (some deli on Rte. 9 East in Natick, next to Loehman's), they wanted $10. So you really can't beat the price.
(5)Ashley A.
I LOVE this place. I honestly don't know what I am going to do without it when I leave Salem. Every bagel and coffee are so fresh and at a very reasonable price. This is such a great in-house bakery, which you don't find much of them around anymore. Being a Boston-girl, I know I have the shortest patience, but when it comes to getting an awesome bagel and good coffee I am more than willing to wait. Wish I could give a 5-star, but I have to agree with other Yelpers that the table/dining area is a bit messy. I am going to miss you Bagel World-come down to the South Shore-please!
(4)Aaron M.
I truly love this place!!! The bagels are so worth the long wait most weekend mornings.
(5)Andrew H.
These bagels are the real deal. No-nonsense, brisk service, although there often is a line. The bagel sandwiches are packed with goodness. Bring a dozen along to your next outing and you will be very popular. Great crust. Great texture. Great flavor. Bagel World makes the north shore even better.
(5)Lady N.
Trumps Dunkin's bagels by far. The best bagels in the area. They make smoothies. They have yummy and cheap salads. The tuna is great. The egg salad is so-so. They have bagel sandwiches. The lines are quite long during peak times... 8-9am and lunch time. The coffee is so so. The service is fantastic. I've never had a bad experience.
(5)William G.
Great place! Not the biggest fan of the long lines, but the food is so good in this place that is worth the wait. The drive through can get pretty crazy in the early morning hours.
(5)Missus F.
i could have worn my bagel as a crown, and i have a huge head. the bagels are large in size but a little too chewy to the point where it made my jaw click. chewy is good otherwise. they're not so fat and soft and puffy that the hole in the middle essentially closes up. i like it when they do that, so i was kinda sad. this IS a good bagel, despite everything i say. i'd just heard SO damn much about this place and how they're the best bagels on the planet, so i expected an experience that warranted a dream sequence. they have a ton of cream cheese choices, including way more lite versions than most other bagel places. three, maybe four cheers for that. good iced coffee, too. i am absolutely a fan. i swear.
(4)Jon H.
I was pleasantly surprised to find this place, and after trying it a few times almost regret living so close to it. I'm mostly familiar with Bruegger's Bagels who, while they make a good bagel and bagel sandwich, are a bit pricy for me. Bagel World has a great selection of bagels, though you would kind of expect that from any decent bagel place. The bagels are quite big, probably about four times the actual serving size for a bagel, but oh well! I often stop by for a sesame bagel with light cream cheese, and really enjoy that. Unlike a lot of other bagel places I have been to, their toaster only takes about 10 seconds, so you don't have to wait all day for your bagel to toast. Unfortunately you might have to wait all day to place your order. They work quick there, but especially during lunch there are a lot of people ordering quite a variety of items. My biggest problem with the place is it's kind of difficult to find a place in line, as there are doors on both sides of the place and people just kind of cluster around the counter. Speaking of lunch though, they make some really great sandwiches. My favorite is the chicken salad, which at $3.75 is quite a deal. I'd recommend skipping over Bruegger's next time and trying out Bagel World.
(4)Kimberly B.
Absoloute best sesame bagel toasted with garlic & herb cream cheese ever in the whole of the universe. That being said, the line in the drive through and in the shop is way too long, though it's understandable. This is the only place I will go to get my hangover breakfast. it puts you right real fast. ;)
(5)Lucien D.
I love Bagel World. It's the only place in the area that makes decent bagels. If you go on the weekends there is a line out the door which will take @20 minutes. Which isn't bad because you can talk to the locals. Excellent place to visit if you are a politician. Their prices are very decent. If you have a family that is visiting from New York and you have an uncle that must have bagels go here. I love their French Toast bagels.
(5)carolyn d.
We recently moved from Salem to South Boston. There are a lot of things we miss, but more than anything, we miss the snickerdoodle coffees and the french toast bagels! The line is always long, but moves fast and is totally worth it!!!
(5)Erin C.
Bagel World offers old world bagels, huge, super soft, and flavorful. They also have have a large menu of sandwiches (breakfast and lunch), options for cream cheese, and drinks. The service is usually pretty good, but they often get so busy that service falls to the wayside in order to get people in and out. They also have a drive thru which is very nice for students from the neighboring Salem State College. Prices are good. My favorite is the turkey sandwich on an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. Overall a nice place to get a great bagel.
(3)Jessica F.
These are not the best bagels in the world, but definitely some of the best in the area (as evidenced by the VERY long lines on weekend mornings). They have a lot of different bagel sandwiches to try and they are all pretty good. Everything there is very fresh, and their cream cheese is good too. All in all, if you need a bagel and you live in Salem this is the place to go, as long as you don't mind braving the line.
(3)Beth-Ann Q.
Gotta say this is my favorite place to go for bagels except when the line is out the door! Bagels are good sized, always fresh, and even better they are almost always still warm when you get them. Large selection of sandwiches, beverages, and of course bagel varieties. Friendly staff, clean atmosphere, and reasonable prices.
(4)Eileena T.
I ABSOLUTELY love the bagels and coffee! Service is fast even when the lines are long. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the "dining area."
(4)Emme D.
The bagels here are okay. What made them better than Dunkin was their cream cheese, but the last two occassions I have been to this store have really solidified the fact that I will never return. Two different people have helped me and both give us attitude when THEY get something wrong. If you order 5 bagels, they take the entire order without writing it down, do it wrong, and when you tell them it's wrong, they get really upset like it's not possible for them to make a mistake considering how they do their work. Unbelievable. The last time, the girl would not stop whining because she said that we should have told her we wanted salt, pepper and ketchup on an egg sandwich before she started wrapping it up and that they never ask a customer if they want that, but she just went on and on and on, really ridiculous. As if it was the most difficult task ever, or they're doing you a favor even though you're paying. Their "dining area" is always filthy, it's old, nobody cleans the tables, not to mention the parking issues they have. Also, there's always food spewing out of the garbage cans because they also don't empty the bags. Just a CHARMING place. It's just not worth it to me, I do not need to get an attitude every time I try to go get breakfast. I wouldn't be surprised if I have a response from whomever blaming me and mouthing me off on here, cuz that's just who they are.
(1)Stephanie H.
I have only been here once. Keep meaning to go back but my husband didn't enjoy it as much as I did. The wait was a bit long, but well worth it. I got an asiago bagel with cream cheese and it rocked, as well as an iced coffee. I am going to go back and convert the husband one of these days!
(4)Dale N.
Any Salem State student will tell you, there's no place better to start your day then at Bagel World. You want fresh baked bagels and hot coffee? This is the place. They have something like 30 varieties of bagels to choose from, along with flavored cream cheeses and sandwich fixings. And unlike most chains which advertise fresh bagels :::cough::Dunkin Donuts!:::cough::: this place really delivers. I couldn't start my day any other way!
(5)Veronica H.
Im from NY and these are the only real bagels I can find
(5)D W.
Bagel World is a students dream. What first threw me was how low the prices were! i got a drink, a bagel with egg and cheese for $3 and change. They have plenty of bagels to choose from and make a mean garden veggie bagel. They can get pretty busy and the staff seems to get frustrated at times but for the price, you can't beat it.
(3)Jessica C.
Ok -- If this review were only based on recent experiences I would give Bagel World 5 stars. Lately, they have been great. The staff is much more friendly than they used to be. Their bagels, sandwiches, cream cheeses are all amazing. The line is always so long, but the food is worth the wait. If you don't have 20 mins to waste - CALL AHEAD. Their call ahead service is a life saver as long as you can get through! The reason for not giving it 5 stars -- a couple years ago I brought my Mom to bagel world raving about the place. We got our sandwiches and drinks and sat down to eat them there. My Mom really loved her sandwich (Smoked Turkey specialty sandwich). However, she then took a sip out of her carton of milk and promptly spit everything out -- the milk had obviously been left out a bit too long and was actually chunky and sour. We brought this to the attention of one of the girls behind the counter and she actually said that she didn't believe that the milk was rotten. We then asked to speak to the manager and she took the milk and poured it out - no apology. We asked for some water so that my Mom could at least rinse her mouth out and they flat out refused saying that we would have to buy a water. What kind of customer service is that? You make a customer physically sick and then won't even offer tap water? We sent a message to the company on their website and it went unanswered. Bagel World lost business from me for a good 2 years because of that incident. I still have very little respect for the company as a whole, but they do know their bagels. Long story short -- inspect anything you buy there.
(3)t w.
I love this place. I go for lunch. I can get a bagel with cream cheese and tomato, bag of chips, and can of soda for under $5. Love it. I do wish they were open later
(4)Georgie B.
still the best bagels I've ever had, including in NY. only complaint is the line - which stretches out the door pretty much any time during business hours, and especially at breakfast and lunch. I'm not complaining.....bring me back an everything bagel with plain cream cheese - not toasted! THE BEST - if there were more stars I'd give them all.
(5)Tony D.
The best place to get a decent bagel in Salem. Popular with the Salem State students and often has long lines but the bagels are worth it, fresh and delicious with many varieties. Smooth creamy creamcheese. My personal favorite is the salt bagel. Not many bagel joints even have them. The french toast bagel is another favorite. Coffee is good also. the drive thru can get crazy because any more than 4 cars and you are either blocking the few parking spaces out front or sticking out onto canal street.
(4)jenilee p.
until recently, i had never had a great bagel. i had never tasted a bagel worth going out of my way for, and in reality, every time somebody said they would go grab a bagel, i couldn't help thinking to myself, "why? what's so great about a bagel?" having received shining recommendations about bagel world bagels, i finally took the plunge, and now understand why someone would forego other breakfast treats or drive twenty minutes away from the everpresent dunkin donuts to go grab a good bagel... or a dozen. bagel world is very specialized, and they have definitely perfected their product. furthermore their bagel supremecy is no a secret, as evidenced by the masses of bagel lovers they serve on a day to day basis. today, i went at 11 am, and there was a line out the door... albeit a quick-moving line. the bagels were excellent, crunchy on the outside (even without toasting), and chewy on the inside. personally, i recommend their spinach bagel, if you are having a little bagel decision meltdown. also, don't be shy about trying their cream cheese which puts the philadelphia variety to shame. all in all, very impressive.

11 a.m. Saturday morning. Day after Halloween. In Salem, that's equivalent to the day after bastille day in Paris. I'm tired (hungover), hungry, and my head hurts. I have to look at the ground as I make the walk to the door to keep the light out of my eyes. I've been dragged to 'this great little bagel shop that so and so always talks about' by my oh-so-perky better half. We get within 25 feet of the door and it looks like every student from Salem State has dragged themselves off their floor of their dorm, thrown on flip flops and arrived mere seconds before us to create a human barrier between me and sustinence. I am so tempted to cut bait and head over to Dunkins, but something tells me this place has to be worth the wait. That feeling is justified every time that one of the barriers gets their order and walks past us with an extra hop in there step, like Richard friggin Simmons after he just main lined triple shots of espresso. I'm mesmorized. We get closer. I can see the menu board. I can smell the coffee and sweet baked goodies. Finally, our turn has arrived. This glorious woman, my savior, asks what I would like. In my head I go through it all but finally choose a roast beef and turkey sandwich, and a chocolate chip bagel with nutella for desert. This woman doesn't miss a beat, she smiles, she teases me, she toasts my bagel, teases me more, then she piles on the most ridiculous amount of toppings, cuts the bagel in half and wraps it up without losing one alfalfa sprout. I'm so clearly astonished that she had to ask me if I was alright. I could think of only one response 'Will you marry me?'. She laughs. No matter, I take my bag of goods and head for the door. As I pass the unfortunate souls who are now out deep into the parking lot I can't help but give them a smile and a nod as if to say ' your salvation is near'. They aren't amused, but in 20 minutes, they will know exactly what i was so happy about. In the car my girlfriend asks if I was serious about my proposal. With a mouth full of chocolate chip bagel I mumble 'absolutely'!'

Fantastic food - work for an organization that orders 5+ dozen for them every week. However, many times Bagel world has lost our business because of an inability to get in touch with them and place an order via phone. This happens more often than we would like. If you're trying to place an order via phone call for pickup later, good luck. You'll call 10-15 times trying to get ahold of them. It's a shame they lose business this way.
(2)Rick M.
Welcome to Bagel World of Salem with 24 varieties of fresh hot bagels! I've been a regular here long before I started yelping. There's always a line at the drive-thru window but it moves pretty fast. You can choose to sit inside as well but service inside can be a little slower at times. Today I ordered the onion bagel with cream cheese, tomato and nova lox (smoked salmon). Sooooo damn good! They're very generous stacking on the lox. It melts in your mouth with a lovely smoked flavor. I also picked up two cinnamon raisin bagels for later. I just couldn't help myself. I'm weak!

I am surprised the City of Salem has not closed the doors on this establishment. Listen up owner, call a cleaning crew and ask them to clean up the filth. The tables are always dirty, so are the floors. You can see years of sludge caked on the floor. I dared to use the bathroom. When you see a streak on the seat-it's too much. When was the last time this place had a deep cleaning? The front door handles-disgusting! If the dining area looks this bad, one can only imagine if food handling processes are followed. Gross!

Best bagels I've had in years! Definitely worth a drive! My favorites include the French toast and the different yummy cream cheeses. The snickerdoodle iced coffee was a special treat! True about the cons: * they don't have freezer bags * they won't cut a dozen because they do so by hand * long weekend lines * drive thru wraps around front to obstruct parking It won't stop me from going back!
(5)Amanda D.
BEST BAGELS. Sorry, NYC: but Mass. has better bagels than you do! There was a long line to put an order in but it goes quickly. The service is bare bones style in the sense that they are straightforward and efficient. It isn't the cleanest establishment I've seen. But more importantly, Bagel World provides a consistent and high quality product. The ingredients for my turkey sandwich were fresh and abundant. The bagels are perfectly toasted until they're crispy on the outside but still chewy on the inside. Honestly, they are amazing. I was blown away after my first bite. I highly recommend the french toast, vegetable, and sesame bagels. I could eat here every day. Enjoy!
(5)Emily R.
I really like the bagels but the main reason I come here is because It's the only place near by besides dunks. If there was a brueggers or another bagel place I would definitely go there instead, better quality and less frustration. Bagel world is always just a hot mess, they have no organization what so ever. There is a huge line every time but I attribute it to them being outrageously slow and walking into each other due to their lack of organization. As well, they just dont seem to care about anything they NEVER answer their phones and the majority of the women there seem like they hate their jobs, they don't pay attention when you order and then they get it wrong which adds to the general frustration of the whole experience If you have another option go there instead.
(2)Sabrina S.
BEST BAGELS EVER! You Can never go wrong with an Egg bagel with scallion cream cheese! Yummy! All the employees are friendly and this place is very popular with all ages! Long lines usually, I wish the hours were longer. I'd be the type of person to get a late night bagel with some friends. I don't think their sandwiches are as good as the cream cheese solution. The bagels are just amazing. GO TO BAGEL WORLD!
(5)Kathryn M.
Pros: The food is really good and fairly priced. I love their chicken salad. Cons: The restaurant is kind of a dive and needs a makeover. The lines are notoriously long and I think this is largely due to how things are arranged behind the counter. Somebody in my party ordered coffee with cream and sugar. They had to leave the front area and go into the back to put cream in his coffee. Also it's kind of a bummer that they close at 3pm on Saturday.
(3)Em B.
Really delicious sandwich. I came here for the first time and I'll definitely come back. Came through the drive-thru with an order of 3 sandwiches and they were made pretty quicky. Not only that, they had the perfect amount of the ingredients on the sandwich. I ordered smoked turkey which I couldn't really taste much of the "smoked," wish they had other, more flavorful turkey. Service was nice.
(4)Christine S.
BEST BAGELS EVER! They are always fresh, and the best tasting bagels I have ever experienced. However, if you go there and order more than one item, they are going to walk away before you spout off the first item. Then when you give them the second item you are made to feel uncomfortable because they had to make two trips. Why do they need to go out back for an ice cappuccino or any coffee for that matter? The line might go faster if they moved things around.
(4)Dan S.
Let me start off with literally the best god damn chicken salad bagel sandwich I've ever eaten.. Second I stop at a bagel world every chance I get because I am a sucker for their goods.. Absolutely the worst service in this type of industry anywhere.. They won't answer the phone they are all very very rude to the customers.. Just the absolute worst anywhere.
(2)Matt R.
Hands down best bagels in New England. Plenty of selections. Smoothies are the best around. Just beware of the drive through. Long waits ensue. Otherwise, get your bagel on here. Favorites: Everything, poppyseed, sesame Coffee: go to Starbucks.
(5)Adam W.
They left my son's plain, uncut, untoasted bagel out again today. This is getting really frustrating. If you have a bag of bagels, it's really hard to check at the busy drive thru to make sure everything is there. I guess that's what I'll have to start doing since they've begun messing up the order on a regular basis.
(3)Carolyn P.
The best bagels on earth. They are worth the insanely long lines to get them. You have to try a pumpernickel with lox spread, lox & tomato. That may be my last meal request if I ever find myself on death row
(4)Katelyn B.
All I want in the world right now is a french toast bagel. They have the BEST BAGELS IN THE WORLD. Things to note about Bagel world: * This location SUCKS if you're going through the drive through. Canal St. is a horrific excuse for a roadway and you will be out in the road. Good luck. * You WILL wait in the longest line you've ever seen in a simple bagel establishment. WORTH IT. * You WILL be surrounded by hungover bros and girls in their yoga pants, north face shirts, and uggs, they are always annoying no matter what time you go, but once you get that bagel/sandwich...it becomes worth it.
(4)Emily M.
11 AM on a Saturday and they refuse to pick up their phone so we can place an order. You realize your lines wouldn't be as long if you let people place phone orders? Ridiculous. That's the last time I try this place.
(1)Brian L.
For bagels in the Northeast Bagel World is at the top of their game! Bagels are freshly made in house, may different varieties as well as bagel sandwiches good at all times of the day... The BLT bagel is fantastic with good crispy bacon and fresh lettuce and tomato. Any morning that you get there you are bound to have to wait in a line. Prices are very good compared to other establishments...
(5)Nahalia B.
Bagels were very great and a good size. Love that the sandwiches auto come with two eggs on it :) Pina colada smoothie was bomb as well! Prices are far better than anywhere else. Okay so now the reason they lose two stars is cause this was my first visit, and my order was wrong. I got the sausage, eggs and cheese on the french toast, that was fine. I also got the roast beef and turkey on everything, was given the other turkey sandwich instead. She even double checked with me about what my other sandwich was and still got it wrong. The line was horrendous but moved fairly quickly. Staff is super unfriendly, atleast the lady I got. This was my first rodeo with Bagel World. I will be going again next week and will update my review with that experience. *Edit - 8/24/2014* So I went again today. This was my experience "Can i have the sausage eggs and cheese on fren -" "toasted?" "bu - " "TOASTED?" "...yes" *goes to put it in toaster then comes back "Anything else?" "Yes can i have extra cheese and tomatoes on that and a mango smoothie?" *nods and walks away I assumed she got my order as she was looking me right in the eyes as I said it to her so I was sure this time nothing would be wrong and I would be bumping them up a star. NOPE. My order did have the tomatoes on it, was very happy, but i did not get the extra cheese. I wasn't charged for it either so I'm assuming it was just forgotten. I had a different lady this time, while she did smile and didn't have a mean disposition like the other lady, she also doesn't let you talk nor listen to your order. As usual the bagel was the best bagel I've ever had, lines were long but moved quickly and food was delicious. I will go one more time next week. If its a positive experience I'll move it back to 3 stars if not it will stay as it is. *Edit - Sept* Friends spent the night, decided to take them with me and see how their experience went. I got the not so friendly lady but my order was correct. They got another lady I haven't had before and she completely forgot the drink. My friend is super quiet and mousey so she stood against the wall waiting, assuming she was just busy and would grab it in a minute. After about 5 minutes I walked up with her receipt and mentioned that we were waiting on a smoothie. They had indeed completely missed it. She quickly made it and gave it to us. If this had been the first mistake I've been there for I wouldn't have complained, as this was a minor mistake and easy to notice. But no, it was like the third or fourth. My sympathy was spent.
(2)Jesse H.
Though the food here is good, it seems as though it is every employees time of the month. They got our order completely wrong, and absolutely refused to toast our bagel for some reason. They constantly have an attitude and ruined my whole morning. If you plan on enjoying your day, stay away from this place.
(2)Jessica P.
The bagels are $2.10 and always delicious. The lines are really long so give yourself time. I always order an everything bagel with veggies and jalapeno cream cheese. They need to add and asiago bagel. the close by 2:30-3:00pm and they run out of good bagels early!
(5)Tony M.
The only thing that keeps this place from being perfect is the lack of smoked whitefish. I will wait in line every weekend for these bagels, then make a trip to market basket for a tub of the whitefish, a tomato, and a red onion.
(5)Will W.
I only come for the everything bagels and the lox. There is nothing else worth getting, or maybe there is. I just don't want anything else.
(5)Grace T.
I thought people were crazy. There's almost always a long line. Being from NY I didn't believe the bagels would be good, but they are easily the only place in town that has awesome bagels. They're super cheap too. 13 bagels for I think 8$ Lots of different flavors. Their sandwiches look good too.
(5)Tina C.
Chicken Salad on an Onion Bagel with Lettuce and pickle. Soooo good. Only gets 4 stars because the one on Canal St. near me is always packed with Salem state kids so there is always a wait. The one near Sylvan Street is faster. French toast and chocolate chip bagel are delicious too.
(4)Jessica T.
Amazing!!!! The line is always long... But once you've had Bagel World, you'll understand why. Their iced mocha coffees are so good. And you have to try the turkey BLT's on a French toast bagel. Perfect!
(5)Felicia T.
I've never waited so long in a drive thru line as I did this morning and the worst part is there was no way to get out! I had cars in front of me and behind me and there was no way out except to go through the line it took 35min to get through the line with 4 cars ahead of me.. This was from 9:10am-9:45am
(1)Danielle L.
Bagel World is by far my favorite bagel place. I always order a BLT with Cheese and mayo on a toasted plain bagel. On my death bed, I want this sandwich. Delicious!!! Oh, and the coffee is great too!
(5)Susie W.
Party of 5 votes 4 stars - lots of bagel ooing and ahhhing, nice selection of shmears, good seating. The line piled up behind us so I get those other reviews. Line going out the door! Still very yummy bagels.
(4)Kate S.
It's too bad the bagles are as good as they are because no matter what bagle world you go to every location has without a doubt the worst service I've ever experienced in my life. 30 minutes waiting in line for a bagel sandwich is ridiculous unless you have an afternoon or morning to waste don't bother going here
(2)David B.
Only getting a four because the line is always long compared to other bagel worlds. All the time. Maybe get a second toaster if possible. Bagels are delicious though.
(4)Jay D.
Why have a phone??!! They never answer it! Trying to call in a large order so they have time to prepare it but no, they would rather be "inconvenienced" when you walk in and order at the counter. The service is a joke.
(1)Chrissy H.
Um... maybe I'm missing something. But my experience at Bagel World was definitely not the same as my fellow Yelpers. I waited in a line that literally went out the door (because the drive through line wrapped around the entire building) for fifteen minutes. I ordered a simple plain bagel with Canadian bacon and cheese and John ordered the same on a spinach bagel. We retreated to a dirty table where we munched on a decent bagel with a rubbery pre-microwaved cheese, eggs with dried out yolks, and flavorless Canadian bacon. It was very inexpensive, but not really worth the long wait in line listening to other customers loudly complain about the long wait in line.
(2)Ashley B.
OH MY GOD BEST BAGELS! I lived in Brooklyn for a year, which changed my view on what a bagel could be forever, and I was almost in a panic when I moved up to the North Shore over a fear of a world without good bagels. But I found this place! And it is amazing, cheap, super fresh, and I've never had a problem with the lines. I probably don't get up early enough. But any time there has been a long line, it's moved really quickly because there are at least half a dozen people working behind the counter. BIG UP to Bagel World forever. I just wish they were open 24/7.
(5)Aaron K.
Great place, I agree with a previous reviewer that the microwave eggs and bacon aren't good. They are average. Go with the Chicken salad (which is outstanding), lox spread or just lox, hummus, or the other tasty cream cheeses they have. Their bagels are great and cheap. They are on the softer side if you don't get them toasty, and I love that. Sometimes the women behind the counter are rude (just took off 1 star for that) but it's understandable because they serve so many people a day for small tips. I highly recommend bagel world, and I go there at least once a week when I'm in the area.
(4)Rachael E.
I love Bagel World! I'll wait in line forever for an everything bagel with salami and cream cheese. The prices are good and the bagels are even better.
(4)jonathan u.
How do you not love a french toast bagel? Yes there is a long line, if you want speed dunks is like two buildings over, but if you want something different go here. As its name implies they have some excellent bagels, I suggest the french toast bagel it saves lives people. Also sometimes I need a little variety in my life and to this end their Hawaiian Iced coffee is off the charts and as a matter of fact I don't even know what their other coffee tastes like cause I cant pull away from the Hawaiian. Bottom line get the french toast bagel, its worth the wait in line!
(4)Joanna L.
Hooray! Real, fresh bagels, made the way true bagels should be made! Try the: egg bagel, french toast bagel, everything bagel. My favorite is the roast beef sandwich on an egg bagel, WITH cream cheese added. At lots of places the bagels are too hard to make for a good sandwich, but here they are perfectly chewy and soft! Egg salad is a little bit bland, but cream cheeses here are good. Cash only under $5 minimum, I think.
(4)Josh J.
After 10 years of loyalty I have made the conscience desicion to stop going. As good as the bagels are their customer service is abysmal. 20 minute lines for a bagel? No thank you. I try to call in an order and some e picks up the phone and hangs it up. This company needs to get their shit together as far as customer service goes.
(2)Jesse E.
As a self-identified bagel-enthusiast, I have to say bagel world is the best. They have so many different bagel flavors and perfect homemade cream cheese. I usually go for the chocolate chip, marble, or spinach. Their custom-made drinks aren't good, but they do have great sandwiches. I'd stick with the bagel though.. and a bottled drink. The bagels are amazing though, the only way they could get better is if they had blueberry bagels, less lines, and longer hours. Still these are undoubtedly the best bagels I've ever had.. A baker's dozen is $6, are you kidding me? tip: the drivethrough is almost always faster than going inside.
(5)K. E.
I love Bagel World so much my friends and I sing a song about it on the drive there. My favorites are the jalepeno cream cheese, their Tuna Salad sandwich, as well as the Garden Salad Bagel with Jarlsburg Cheese. The pickles are pretty amazing too! Damn good Pumpkin Spice Coffee (all year long) to boot!
(5)ginger B.
Sorry but you guys have obviously never left salem. Bagel worlds bagels are average at best and no line that long is worth anything. 45 min to get a bagel. Think about it. Nothing about this place is efficient. If they are so successful then expand the building add more workers add another drive through window and that will help. ruins ur saturday morning to wait that long.
(1)Mallory S.
After driving by Bagel World and seeing the (traffic inducing) lines every weekend, we finally made time to stop! We only waited in line about 10 minutes (inside, not drive thru). They have over 10 kinds of bagels, 10+ kinds of spreads, 10+ sandwich fixings. So you really kind have a plethora of combinations! We had cinnamon raisin bagels (one with jam, one with butter). Total cost: $2.25! What a deal! We will definitely be back. The bagels were light, warm (we had ours toasted) and wonderfully delicious! There wasn't any room to eat inside so we ate in the car. Warnings: If you park in front you might be stuck because the drive-thru line snakes around and blocks cars in. There is additional parking in the back. No credit/debit cards on purchases under $5. Just go! You won't be disappointed!
(4)Marsha F.
Best bagel place around. Fortunately for me, it's literally down the street from my house. I love the bagels, especially the egg and sesame. The Salem location also has a drive-thru, which definitely gets congested. But, if you don't mind the wait, you will be sooooo happy with the delicious bagels you'll leave with. They also have a wide variety of drinks... Coffee of course, but, also cold drinks in the fridge and they make their own as well. I like the ice chai from time to time. On cold days, I'll get it hot and it warms me up good. As someone else said in a review, the lines can be pretty long. But, he's right. They are worth it. The staff works like a well-oiled machine and they get a lot done very quickly. So, if you go, don't be daunted by the line. In 15 minutes or so you'll have that bag in your hand and you'll be happier for it. Recommend 100%!
(5)Steward P.
Huge lines because they're worth it! Those bagels are so freakin delicious! I love the Spinach bagel! And the coffees are great too! Anyone who goes to the Dunkins next door has got to be a mega loser!
(5)Morgan D.
So my friend started by telling us, "The line is always about 20 minutes long, but so worth the wait" And I'm thinking...Yeah RIGHT! She was right on the money! This place is so so so worth it! The line was long, but moves fast and this place is great! I got an everything bagel with onion and herb cream cheese and lox. It was great! These bagels are so worth your time and money and if I lived in the area...I'd be here every weekend!
(5)Agapi H.
Yummy! Bagels don't get better than this. Have been going here since I was 10. Love it.
(4)Jen S.
I started going to bagel world when I moved to Salem for college in 1998. After leaving, I barely ate bagels for 11 years. But I'm baaaack, and the bagels and coffee are everything I'd remembered; toasting isn't even necessary. I went there a minimum of 4 days a week for the first 6 months after moving back! The iced Hawaiian coffee is perfect, and I love that they use Jarlsberg-style Swiss cheese on their sandwiches. The french toast bagel with walnut raisin cream cheese is my number one. They get 4 stars instead of five due to the lines, which could be decreased significantly by employing another person. The payroll isn't going to break them and would reduce lost business due to people like me who check the line in the back lot before stopping. I sympathize with other commenters who find their reliance on microwaves off putting; the stuff I eat isn't microwaved but it is disturbing to see the microwaves constantly running, right at (frequently pregnant) belly level of the counter staff.
(4)Kevin W.
Absolutely brilliant, I suggest a bacon, egg & cheese on a french toast bagel. They have nearly ever bagel imaginable, a few that aren't (i.e. the bagel energy bar). The have good sandwich combos as well. Be aware, you will be waiting in some form of a long lone, as the line is rarely ever short, unless you're there at an odd hour. Expect hordes of hungover college kids on Friday, Saturday and Sunday Mornings starting around 9ish. Pro-tip: you can call in your order if you don't want to wait in a line.
(5)Toni M.
There is usually a long line here. What most people forget is that you can actually call in an order, walk up to the sandwich prep area, pay for your food and go. Done! No waiting for 15 minutes in line. Recommendations: BLT on toasted everything bagel w/mayo Lox & Sprouts on toasted Sesame Bagel w/scallion cheese French Toast with either plain cream cheese or peanut butter You really can't go wrong ordering any combination. It's all good.
(4)T. P.
I dont know what the big fuss about this place is. I have to admit, i WAS excited to finally get a bagel from here because I wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. I couldnt even finish half of it!! it was the most digusting bagel ever! i thought maybe it was the cream cheese, so I tried it with butter instead.. nope.. still gross. Then i thought because it was a plain bagel that maybe thats why i didnt like it.. so I went agian another day and got an onion bagel.. it was still gross. just like a weird flavor/aftertase, etc. Again I could not finish even half of the bagel. I decided to try one more time and got an everything bagel hoping that the flavor would come out and I could finally experience what everyone else was talking about.. NOPE! Still gross.. I will never be back or recommend this place.
(1)Alex W.
A definite breakfast must for anyone living or passing through the north shore. Bagels served (over twenty varieties!) are massive in comparison to most other breakfast establishments and are made fresh every day, along with the rest of the toppings Menu items include classics like Bacon Egg and Cheese and range to more exotic choices like chicken salad, BLT, and pastrami. If you're not feeling that adventurous you can stick with spreads, which they have a good variety of, including low fat options. Also if you're looking for something sweet, look no further. Their chocolate chip and french toast bagels coupled with Nutella spread will satisfy anyone. If you're not hungry, fear not. Bagel World has a huge selection of smoothie flavors, about half a dozen coffee options, juices, sodas, and a delicious iced cappuccino. I can safely say I've never had a bad experience here.
(4)Yme C.
This is one of my favorite bagel places. I have tried every bagel on the menu in many different types of dishes. This place is an eat in and drive thru facility with bathrooms. The service is fast paced and the mood depends on how the kitchen crew feels that day. Customer service not necessarily friendly but they get the job done and the bagels is what you go for. One of my favorite sandwiches is the Garden Salad Sandwich with Jarlsberg cheese on a toasted garlic or onion bagel. If you are heading to a business meeting, avoid these bagels, your breath will not give anyone you meet any mercy. Coffee is good. I get the Hawaiian Chocolate Nut- Hot. Never been disappointed. This is one of the places that I will drive out of the way for a quick, yummy, and for the best value. It's also much healthier than a greasy fast food chain. Your stomach will thank you later! Try it once in your life, it's Bagel World!
(4)Geoff M.
Sausage, egg, tomato and cheese on a toasted plain bagel. They actually use two eggs. Also try the french toast bagel, toasted with butter. Delicious. Coffee is just OK, the bagels are really where it's at. Best ones around here.
(4)Laura H.
bagel world is legit. Their bagels are so fresh and so cheap! Tons of choices from what flavor bagel to what kind of sandwich. I got a bakers dozen of assorted bagels for like 6 bucks, score. The only issue is that this place is almost always packed, like line out the door into the street packed. All those damn salem state students probably haha. Definitely worth checking out, puts dunkin donuts next door to shame, even with their iced coffee!
(4)Meredith M.
Bagel World Bagel World No one can do it like bagel world (to the tune of Spiderman theme song.) Pumpkin Spice Coffee!! Breakfast sandwiches still so good I drool a little bit watching them make mine. They are also still HUGE and I usually can save half for lunch. Here's what I got for less than 25$: 2 YUMMY bagels with bacon, egg and cheese, toasted to perfection 2 hot coffees (one medium, one large) 2 small cartons of O.J. (Lots of Pulp, duh.) 2 chocolate milks...mmmm and a BAKER's Dozen of Fresh delicious bagels. (That's breakfast for 2 for a week!!!)
(5)Susan L.
So I've been here for a total of two times and I haven't been disappointed yet! The first time I came here, I got myself a pumpernickel with lox spread and the second I had myself an egg bagel with vegetable spread. Both those times were awesome! The other day, I had I think an egg bagel with tuna, lettuce, tomatoes and these stringy-like veggies on top and it was really good! I didn't quite like their coffee the first time I was there, but maybe it was because I'm not used to it yet? Today I got myself a vanilla chai and I actually like it a lot! Their lines are always long, so the next time I order from here, I will just give them a call and come in for pick up. But even if you wanted to wait in line, it would still be totally be worth it.
(5)PJ L.
Great bagels and sandwiches. Long lines are a pain, so time your visit not to coincide with change of classes at SSU or when the students start rolling out of bed late on weekend mornings. Don't know why they don't find a more efficient way to put the food out, but......most often I am up for the wait, since I only go when I'm willing to wait in line.
(5)Anthony O.
Bagel world is Bomb... but waiting in line 20 mins for a bagel is crazy.. seems that this is the case on most occasions. If they were smart they would reverse their drive through and the line for cars would not be out on to Canal Street; just a suggestion... they need to work on the flow in and out... I bet if it was more organized then the place would run much more efficiently. I would have given it five stars... but we will see if they even read this Best bacon egg and cheese sandwiches hands down...
(3)D A.
Bagel World has a good recipe and baking process. The problem is they don't care about the quality of the ingredients or the cleanliness of the oven. If you order any bagels with seeds (sesame, poppy, sunflower, etc) the seeds taste like mold and/or dirt. This is not a one time issue, this has been the case for years and at each of their locations. They are either buying surplus ingredients or storing them in a damp and unsafe environment. You can steer clear of the seeded bagels and go for something else but then you still have a bagel that is coated in burnt cornmeal. This shows that they are too lazy to scrap the ovens. As long as the lines are out the door and there are no other bagel shops in the area they have no reason to change.
(1)Skyler J.
The biggest, freshest and most delicious bagels i have ever had. They are so soft and have a good "crust" on them . made fresh. amazing whipped cream cheese in many flavors. GOOD PRICING I RECOMMEND THE CHOCOLATE CHIP BAGELS, or A BLT on a EVERYTHING but be prepared. there will be a line!
(5)James I.
I absolutely love Bagel World. The everything bagel and the garlic bagels are my favorite. The egg and cheese on an everything is good, too. My only complaint? The line - usually, when we go, there's at least a 20+ minute line. But, it is sooo worth it!
(5)Tori G.
As a Salem State student I am VERY familiar with this great bagel place. It's located directly across from the O'Keefe building and the huge and always packed, commuter parking lot. They make lots of different types of bagels right on site, most of the time when you get them they're hot from the oven which definitely doesn't happen at Dunkin' Donuts! (And there's a Dunkin' located right next door to this place, and Bagel World can definitely hold they're own) I recommend their egg, french toast and berry bagels, they're all great, and they have their own cream cheeses too. The scallion and walnut risen are my two faves. I'm a loyal Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee drinker, but sometimes I like to change it up and get an iced cappuccino from here, they sweet and creamy and delish. They're a little bit more expensive than an iced coffee, but well worth it. It's always VERY busy, but as other reviewers have said, the lines move quickly, they have some very nice and fast employees, so you're usually in and out. They do have a small drive thru line, but if there are more than 4 cars in line, then you're taking your life in your hands waiting out on Canal Street. They have another location in Peabody next to the Petco on the corner of Route 114, and Sylvan Street and it's equally as good. Check it out if you want a change from the usual Dunkin' fare.
(4)Elizabeth B.
This morning at 6AM I ventured over to Bagel World II They had a great selection of bagels and were cool when I customized my egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, let's discuss Toasted Spinach Bagel, Low Fat Vegetable Cream Cheese, Egg, Cheese, and Tomato. Holy Moly - So Good. At first they put the egg in the microwave... and I was like ehhh... but it was awesome, and I would have had no idea they microwaved the egg if I had not seen it. Service was nice and I had a great bagel, soft but toasted goodness.
(5)Aimee G.
Ok, so these are the best bagels in Massachusetts. No actually, in New England, make that the United States, no the world....errr...correction, THE UNIVERSE!!!! Great customer service, fresh bagels (and by fresh I mean still piping hot), yummy varieties of cream cheese, breakfast sandwiches, deli sandwiches....you name it. Lots of different flavors, and the ones you think are a bit on the weird side are actually the best flavors to try. You will be pleasantly surprised. There are locations in Peabody and North Reading on Route 28 as well. The prices are cheap and although I am not a fan of breakfast food AT ALL, this is my number one!
(5)
