This quaint little Bed and Breakfast Inn is located several blocks from the rugged Massachusetts coastline. It's situated on a small hill right in the middle of Rockport next to a problematic pond. My visit occurred at the beginning of spring and it's when the Peepers come out. These noisy bastards are tiny frogs, numbering in the thousands and they chirp all night long. Not one wink of sleep that night. I wish I had a room facing away from the pond or even better, a stick of dynamite. In the morning, A Continental style breakfast was served in the dinning room, homemade biscuits, croissants and coffee. All of it smelled and tasted wonderful. But what makes this place so charming is during breakfast you meet the other guests. I met a married couple that were Social Workers from NYC and they were there just to decompress from the high stress of the job and living in the big city. It seems this place has many patrons returning every year. The owners are very nice and the town is small enough so that everybody knows each other there. If you've never been to Rockport, it's a colony of craftsmen selling there wares along the coast, and it serves as a small commercial fishing port. One of the shops I visited knew the owners of the inn I was staying at and her comment was that the wife is a good cook but she eats too much of her own cooking. Ha Ha! If you're into crafts then Rockport is your kind of town.

my family and i have been going to this inn since i was 9 and every time its been great its not even 5 minutes from the beach and about 8 minutes to the shops at bear skin neck the owners Toby and john are great and will take care of you well. And the continental is good and fills you up for the morning. The rooms are great I love the carriage house rooms which have a small.kitchen deck and a king and a twin bed.

Excessively priced for a run down inn. Plastic table cloth, noisy A/C, far away from the beach, rip-off 100%

Our second visit to Linden Tree Inn was as great as our first. Love the location since it is within walking distance to downtown Rockport. Room was comfortable and quiet with all the needed amenities. Hosts - Tobey and Joe - are welcoming and accommodating. Breakfasts are fantastic with fresh baked scones daily. We look forward to our next visit to the inn.

Tobey and John, the inn keepers, are excellent hosts, very interesting conversationalists, and so welcoming. We were here during the historical February snows of 2015. We were comfortable, warm and well fed. We look forward to our next visit at the Linden Tree.

We decided last minute to try to get a place to stay I'm rockport for the night. After calling a few places, I called Linden Tree and was very happy to find they had vacancy on such short notice. The couple who owns this inn are so sweet and friendly and try to make you feel right at home in their home. Complimentary breakfast was included and we had a lovely, quiet stay.
