Awesome Benedicts! Love the lobster Benny. Very roomy and clean. Best brunch on the Cape!

When in Ptown, follow the road less traveled (get as far away from Commerical Street for at least 1 meal!). Yelp brought us here and the food nourished our hunger pains as we still day dream about the cronut. Obvy with a place so popular and about 15/20 tables you will have to wait on the weekends so come in with a side of "chill out its sunday" attitude. Once we were seated our waitress was friendly, on point and made us hungry eaters happy campers. We started with a cronut. Split the pork green chili omelette (freshest egg omelette I have ever had) and award winning French toast. We left with bigger bellies and smiles for dayz Love this place!

Yum! The food here is delicious. I had the blueberry pancakes and they were sweet and fluffy and perfectly golden. The service was on the slower side. They were admittedly v. busy and my server was new (it was her first day) but even so, it took about 20 minutes for my food to come out, which was pretty ridiculous.
(3)Kameron S.
My team and I came here to have breakfast after we completed the Ragnar Relay on the Cape. It was a very nice end to running that long! They were able to accommodate 6 of us at a booth, which was nice. I loaded up on iced coffee and some delicious French toast. All 6 of us enjoyed our meals! Iwill hit this place up again if I'm bck in P-town!

You can't do better than Chach for breakfast or lunch when you come to visit Provincetown or you're staying in Truro, the next town over. It's popular with both locals and those on vacation. We ate here twice in one week. It's that good. Each ingrediant of the eggs benedict is fresh and perfectly cooked. It looks lovely plated and it's super tasty whether you order it traditional with ham or seafood style with crab cake or fried oysters. This dish comes with home style potatoes that actually tastes like potatoes just made at home. I can also vouch for the turkey bacon club style sandwich and the fries that come with. No wonder Chach has been around now for so long. It's the real deal.
(4)Scott S.
We asked the staff at the campground where they would grab breakfast if they were off duty. We were sent to Chach. So glad, too! The teen had waffles that sent him to sugared heaven, and my wife and I had the huevos rancheros, which we want to drive back to Provincetown to enjoy again. The staff is AWESOME. The food is great. The coffee is plentiful and good. Yes, please, more!
(5)Melanie R.
Breakfast at Chach is great. The hollandaise that comes on the bennys is more creamy than eggy, but a good addition to the plate. Service was outstanding and the staff there is really friendly and fast. It's a little off the beaten path, so you won't run into many tourists.
(3)Kris C.
Best Eggs Benedict and home fries I have ever had. I had the Sharon's Eggs Benedict (regular way) and my wife had the California Eggs Benedict (with avacado, bacon and tomato). We both had decaf coffee which was very good and finished off with a Violet Mimosa. Service was excellent and the setting is adorable. Must visit if you are in Provincetown.
(5)Rick G.
Food was great. We had the huevos rancheros, eggs Benedict and blueberry pancakes. Everything was fresh and delicious. A wee bit pricey ($60 for 2 adult and 2 kids) and the parking is spotty...but worth it all. Kudos!

Went here with a friend to check out a new place in town for breakfast. We arrived shortly before 10am and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, but were eventually seated at a booth. For our meal, we decided to split the french toast and the chile verde pork with a side of blueberry cornbread. The blueberry corn bread was pretty good. Not the best cornbread I have ever had, but a pretty good spin on a classic dish. The french toast (which they put that they are famous for) was quite lack luster. I did not enjoy it really as it tasted like the kind of french toast that I am able to make at home by myself--which is not that great. Thankfully, the omelette saved the day. This was definitely the best dish of the meal and was a good size too for the price. Overall, the food was very good (with the exception being the french toast) and the pricing was very reasonable. The service was a bit errant at times, but it was made up for with a friendly attitude and good service. Definitely worth making the trek out to this place.
(4)Tiffany M.
Came here for breakfast on a late Wednesday morning with my boyfriend and had to wait a few minutes for a table to open up as a few groups had arrived just before us. I ordered the florentine Benedict and my boyfriend ordered two eggs over easy as well as their renowned French toast. We also shared a pistachio cream chocolate cronut and ordered a coffee each. To his surprise, his eggs came with a piece of toast AND home fries. We thought it would merely just come with eggs and toast. The total for that one meal was $5.75! Our total bill came out to $41! You can't beat that in Provincetown! My florentine Benedict was delicious, as many of the other reviews have already stated. His French toast was also very delectable- soft, yet crispy. The staff was courteous and I noticed our server would go around making small talk with each table. Overall, a great inexpensive place to grab some breakfast/brunch.
(4)Catherine K.
Wonderful meals! Loved the huevos rancheros. Bacon was amazing.
(5)Matthew M.
Ever since I discovered how delicious Eggs Benedict is, I have committed to myself that I would marry the first girl who could make them perfectly. Chach (the restaurant and the amazing woman) never fails to deliver the best Eggs Benedict I have ever eaten. Eating Sharon's Eggs Benedict gives you to the most delicious, heavenly breakfast experience. Perfect, creamy Hollandaise covers the wonderfully prepared eggs, Canadian Bacon, and well-toasted English Muffin. A very complex dish, with a complex but simple flavor. The environment is warm and welcoming, and both Sharon and Chach welcome you with their amazing personalities and food. The menu has a multitude of stunning possibilities, but is not overwhelming at the same time. I come to Provincetown only two to three days a year, and I make sure to always come here. Amazing place, always inviting and delicious.
(5)Jackson Z.
Great service! Nice people! Best breakfast place in ptown! The eggs Benedict are amazing! The hollandaise makes it! The eggs are perfectly poached. The Mexican lunch is excellent!
(5)Lou G.
Not horrible, but not the best. Huevos rancheros were very bland, and the service wasn't that great. The orange juice stated it was fresh squeezed but there is no way that it was. If its off season and you need breakfast this is pretty much the only game in town but its not that good..
(3)Ralph A.
Wonderful breakfast/lunch spot in Provincetown! Make stop next time visiting!
(5)Bay G.
Off the beaten track, but still an easy walk from Commercial Street. One of the few options for breakfast in Provincetown. Far cheaper than Cafe Heaven. I sat at the counter and did not have to wait. French toast and orange juice = $15 (including tax and tip). Real maple syrup. Service/staff was fine.
(3)Michael M.
Fresh ingredients, great food. Blueberry pancakes especially. They were also friendly!
(5)Sarah G.
Had brunch here on our day trip to Ptown. Short wait (10 min) for a Sunday morning. Waitress knew her stuff--efficient and polite. Husband had breakfast burrito-"good." I had the French toast and it was as creamy and sweet as it was crunchy. Coffee is excellent. Didn't feel crowded but the main room only holds 36. Space is clean and feels spacious. Lots of booths. This is a win for a nice morning meal sans lobster anything (which is a good break).
(5)Robert D.
Come for the French toast, which is a phenomenon. Stay for the linguica, because it goes nicely with the French toast.
(4)Arun M.
We were up very early due to jet lag and this was the first place to open in the morning, so we went there. But it was a pleasant surprise. This is one of those very nice places located in tourist spots that are mostly favored by the locals. I enjoyed their breakfast, it was delicious. I will be visiting here every time I need breakfast in P-town area.
(4)Chris C.
Friendly service, cheaper than Commercial Street. The space is clean and comfortable, and they serve tasty, basic food. Nothing particularly fancy, but sometimes a basic diner-type experience is what you want after the often overpriced and under-whelming breakfast fare in P'Town.
(4)Kristin U.
Good breakfast/ brunch items here. Have never had a bad meal, from the huevos rancheros to French toast, breakfast sandwich to soft shell crab. Can get crowded with a bit of a wait during peak season, but worth it.
(4)The Shop Girl G.
Amazing breakfast here in Ptown!!! Staff was friendly and service was fast, my dude and I always share our meals... So we opted for the specials... French toast with Bananas and maple pecans, and the California Eggs Benedict... Their hollandaise sauce is by far thee BEST I've ever had!!!
(5)Steve S.
Eat like a local. Best breakfast in P-town. Been coming here for years. Everything is great, specials are always creative. Still dream about the Oysters Benedict. Many items have a authentic southwestern flare that make you forget you are in New England. Don't miss it!
(5)Janet B.
Love, love, love Chach Restaurant. Both staff and food have great personality. Off the beaten path, but WORTH the journey! Eat like a local.
(5)Liv M.
Great breakfast place. The sweet pepper, broccoli havarti scramble was really good. Breakfast burrito good as well but maybe a little less beans next time. French toast was good but very heavy and rich. I'm a french toast lover and I couldn't finish it. Great waiter!
(5)HM M.
Last day in town and I wanted to try something off the main drag. I made the right choice. I came in wanting breakfast but saw a BLT leave the kitchen and decided I wanted that instead. The bacon was thick, crispy, and not 90% fat like most places. There was just enough mayo with fresh tomatoes and lettuce. The fries were perfectly cooked. I try to stay away from fries but I was unsuccessful. They were good. The staff was warm and inviting. My coffee cup was only empty for a minute. The air conditioner made the humidity melt away. Can't wait to come back next year.
(5)Junebug J.
This was not good food. You can see from my extensive travels that I LOVE ME SOME GREASY SPOON. This was not good, the food was bland, the tobacco was watered down, the French toast everyone freaks out about were good but not like AMAZING.
(1)Margaret J.
Best breakfast in years. Huevos rancheros, chile omelette, spinach feta omelette. A mellow Tuesday breakfast.
(5)E K.
Does not take reservations but has a good amount of seating and they are quick. I got the eggs florentine and they were great and the coffee was strong. Laid back and good food...can't ask for more than that.
(4)Silpa S.
I love how "hidden" this place is. It's far away from the buzz of commercial street. But it's very walkable, probably 10 mins max from commercial st. It's really close to stop and shop. It's classic diner feel on the inside with the checkered floor and booth style seating. Of course we went there for brunch (my favorite!), and were seated right away. The waitstaff are very to the point, they get there work done with no frills so can't praise or complain on that point. I hear Chach's is well known for the legendary pancakes, which my party unfortunately didn't have any room for at the end of our meal but it's probably well worth a try if you are thinking about it. I got the Florentine Benedict, two pouched eggs on an english muffin with spinach topped with hollandaise sauce with a side of taters. My sister got the benedict to but with fried clams and we split. Both were really delicious and rich. If I had to say one thing I would say they might have been too generous with the hollandaise sauce. I would consider asking for it on the side next time. But overall great solid diner breakfast food with generous portions that will surely fill you up! Ditch the glamor of Commercial Street and check this place out for breakfast/brunch!
(4)David D.
Chach is a truly delightful places for breakfast.. and the people who work there are super nice too. Chach (the owner) completely rocks the kitchen and makes the best breakfast to be found anywhere on Cape Cod. Highly recommended!
(4)Robert S.
If i was to just rate food I would give them 3-4 stars but overall this place just makes me angry. They close so early and the staff is always disgruntled. They close at the most frustrating random times. I called in take out once and they said they were too busy. REALLY! I have had so many bad employee issues that I rarely go there even if they have the best grilled cheese ever!
(2)Stephanie C.
Visiting Provincetown on a Friday morning and in need of breakfast, our group of 6 clearly relied on Yelp to steer us toward Chach. I'm convinced that it's this very situation where Yelp comes in for the clutch. As the reviews say - this is a restaurant that the locals favor. Everything about this place screams laid back and local. I'm guessing we were the only tourists there but that could have just been because nobody else was there clearly on a family vacation with parents and a super pregnant sister in law. enough backstory - the food! First - you can order breakfast AND lunch all day. It was 10AM and my brother in law was so happy to get a burger with fries. The fries by the way are fresh cut and delish. I ordered the house Benedict with potatoes on the side. Holy hollandaise! It was terrific in that the egg was perfectly cooked, the english muffin was substantial, and the hollandaise was lemony smooth and well balanced. Get the Benedict. Our other orders included a toasted blueberry muffin, french toast, breakfast burrito (bigger than your forearm), and pancakes. Everyone was more than happy with breakfast. Of course the coffee was also fantastic and I did find it nice that they offer a choice of cream versus milk. You don't often get that in a restaurant, especially in a tourist destination. So clearly Chach is in it to be accommodating and ultra cool.
(4)Tony K.
Semi-decent food, but incredibly rude staff. I've given them more than a second chance, and it's alway bad. When I walk up to pay, the angry woman with the short haircut won't even say anything. She just looks at me like I'm completely inconveniencing her. It's very hot inside during the summer months, and it's like pulling teeth to get a glass of water. They hate you if you want a glass of iced water. I've been there 4 consecutive summers. Last year I finally said, "No more!"
(1)Sarah F.
We went to breakfast on a Tuesday around 10am and the atmosphere was friendly and not crowded. The food was good and the service was great. Menu is simple but everyone will be able to find something they like. Did not try the alcoholic drink specials but they looked delicious. This is a great place to go if you are looking for a relaxing meal with a homey feel.
(5)David C.
Chach and Cafe Heaven are the two best places to get breakfast in Ptown. I love their french toast as well as the eggs benedict. The staff is awesome and very friendly. I am so glad we have them in town. The only part which kinda sucks is the parking situation.
(5)sasha h.
Great breakfast spot. We came with 25 people (without a res) and I think it was a little daunting to the staff so they were a bit ancy the whole time. I tried the black bean burger (which was delicious) but I should have ordered breakfast bc it looked amazing when it came out. Some other folks at our table ordered huevas rancheros, the breakfast burrito and the benedict, all of which were good.
(4)michael k.
A new favorite. Consistently good brunch food and a liquor license. Try the Chorizo and cheese omelets.
(5)Rick T.
I am a morning person and I enjoy breakfast! I would rather have a great breakfast and just skip lunch! Thus, I tend to visit Chach on the way to the office once or twice a week. Deb and Jimmy are the most wonderful, friendly servers each and every time I visit Chach! I must admit I am a creature of habit! I typically get a 3 egg omelet filled with ham and swiss cheese- it is delightful! The toast served with breakfast is not your standard grocery store bought bread.....the bread is thick and filled with flavor!
(4)Brian K.
Chach is one of our favorite places to go for brunch in Ptown! I love the Eggs Benedict here among other things. The sandwiches are great and portions are healthy. Extremely popular with the locals and gets crowded quickly on and off season. The ambiance is casual and friendly. Something we look forward to every weekend.
(4)Ally M.
Found this place on Yelp when we drove into P-town on a rainy day. Great spot. We had the California Benedict and some really delicious french toast. Off of Commercial St, so you ditch some of the crowds.
(4)Ebony E.
Friends have told me for years to make my way to Chach, but I would often either stay too long at the gym (next door) or forget. I can safely say, I REGRET not going sooner! The food is great and the service was good too. The French Toast is DELICIOUS and one of the days I went they had a California Omelet (avocado, swiss, and tomato; I think) that was Really Good too! The servers were always nice. If there is a downside, it's that there appears to be no A/C; but there are fans. This really isn't an issue as they close by 2 or 3pm anyway. Besides, even if it is a hot day; it's worth breaking a sweat for a good meal.
(5)Jay M.
We loved this place. Went twice in two days. The breakfast was super. Eggs Benedict was fresh and tasty. For lunch, the turkey club was excellent and they have a french toast that's great too. The service is extremely friendly. A very pleasant, completely unpretentious place. Only open until 2pm, so not a choice for dinner. A great alternative to the "haute cuisine" prices of Commercial and Bradford streets.
(5)Rick B.
I love this place! The waitstaff is warm and the food is yummy- I love the huevos rancheros- get it with the toasted Portugese roll, so you can absorb all the dish! Before the huevos, I had a crush on the green chile omelet- which is so awesome and inspiring! They also have fresh pies each day that are home-made, so save room for that!
(5)Davis W.
More of a 3 1/2 star. I liked the ambiance. Kitchy. Great logo on their sign. I like a simple breakfast. Everywhere I go I get 2 eggs over medium, rye toast bacon and potatoes. BEST part was the bacon! The eggs were borderline over easy with the yokes super thin and running and the whites just past the point of luquidy. My toast was perfect but mark's English muffin was under toasted. Potatoes are the one thing I am very picky about and constantly in search of the perfect batch. potatoes were wonderfully flavored BUT way undercooked. This is common for breakfast potatoes and very dissapointing. Service was terrific! Kind, not imposing but attentive.
(3)Maggie S.
Off the main drag in Provincetown, near the Stop & Shop. You know what this means? Parking! In a parking lot! That's where the 4-star experience begins. While there, we had one of the specials which was French toast with strawberries and a caramel sauce. It was very decadent, filling and delicious. Sides are available at a reasonable price. Attentive waitress and friendly staff.
(4)Darren S.
The Best! If you like Eggs Benedict, They make the best that you will ever eat. When you visit Ptown this should be where you get your breakfast and lunch.
(5)Kati S.
I ate the breakfast burrito for lunch, and basically didn't want to eat dinner, it was that big. Soooo tasty. The kids had a chicken quesadilla each, and I'm pretty sure they felt the same way. Nice atmosphere, very family friendly, a ways off the beaten path, too.
(4)Tracy D.
This is a great place, awesome specials, great coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice! The french toast with lemon curd, and berries very yummy. One of our friends had the Oysters Benedict, and he said it was awesome. Go it's worth it.
(5)Lisa N.
So, in the cooler months, on Tuesday nights Chach dresses up the diner with black table cloths and becomes Chach's Cantina, serving Mexican food. And now they've finagled an expanded liquor license and serve up some tasty margaritas, too. A treat for us year rounders! The place was packed with happy, happy people. Olé! (you need to call for a reservation for sure) The guacamole is perfect...chunky, flavorful, and fresh. The chicken enchiladas are some of the best I've ever had. Really. Excellent filling, mildly spicy sauce, and a more than generous portion--which was fortunate as my husband ate almost half of it as he didn't like his steak soft tacos much. I didn't care for the steak, either, too overcooked or chewy and lacking spice. But I'm so happy this place gives us an excuse to get out on a Tuesday night all winter, I'll only knock off one star. And remember not to order the steak tacos again.
(4)Steve M.
We love this out of the way place and our only wish is that they were open for dinner. I dream about the green chili omelet -- which is by far my favorite breakfast anywhere. The place has a great chill'in atmosphere and adds to our vacation experience. We also stop in for lunch and I (the carnivore) will order the black bean burger -- it is totally awesome. And I know it sounds crazy but I love their ice tea -- simple, fresh brewed tea is my favorite.
(4)Linda C.
The French toast was the reason we came here for breakfast . Remember it with a smooth custardy interior with a perfect crust. Today, blah. Dry and just adequate. The strawberries were tasteless . Grateful for the great friends at my table. Service: Adequate Parking: Very Limited
(3)Jennifer S.
The food here is incredible. simple and delicious. I came for lunch and had a salad and the BLT with their home made fries. They were honestly the best fries I have ever had. They had that home made shallow fried taste where they are crispy and soft at the same time. The BLT is yum on multigrain bread with applewood smoked bacon. and yet surprisingly I have to say the star of the show was the salad. simple side salad comes with an unexpected addition of chickpeas. get it with their buttermilk dressing. dressing is creamy and light with a savory garlic dill flavor. most delicious dressing ever. I think atmosphere is in here is great as well. upbeat lively but still chill enough to sit back relax and catch up with friends. I noted a lot of bitching in the other reviews about unfriendly wait staff. dunno. who cares? food is good, come with a friend or bring a book or something so you wont need so much attention from the poor waitress.
(5)Heidi B.
What a great surprise! Wandered in for lunch with my husband and son....had the requisite grilled cheese sandwich for the little guy, and fried oyster Benedict for the big guy (wow!). I was thrilled with a very tasty watermelon/watercress salad with a delicious dressing, feta and almonds. And, we had a delightful waiter. Great experience!!
(4)Neill K.
Okay, I almost gave four stars...but then realized it was only due to the fact that this is one of the few restaurants open during the winter. In my book, just opening your doors does not get you a star! Went for lunch on a Sunday in February before heading back to the city. I personally love the diner type vibe. They have a chalkboard on the back with the specials written on and the booths are comfy enough. The location is a little out of the way, which is probably why I don't go more often. Parking is pretty tight if they're busy. For the food: They used to have a chicken tortilla soup that was awesome...not an option this time. The rest of the menu is nothing to write home about, but does the job to fill an empty stomach. My partner did have the worst black bean burger ever. It's great that it's made from scratch...but maybe they should get a new recipe. It almost looked like a scoop of canned beans were thrown on a grill then placed on a bun. No resemblance to any type of 'patty' I have ever seen Service...hey, I got my food. Again, not bad and not good. Definitely will be stopping by here again for a quick lunch durring the off-season.
(3)Daniel H.
Don't ever go here. I don't want to risk the chance of having to wait for your fat ass to finish licking the Hollandaise sauce off your plate before I get my table. Nobody gets between me and my maple sausage, egg, and cheese on a Portuguese sweet roll. Nobody. (See McCaila I's review for more)
(5)Mister M.
Great breakfast a bit off the main drag in P-Town. It doesn't have the fancy vibe of the Commercial Street trendy joints, but the food is excellent and creative. The only issue I had was that the AC wasn't working (or maybe it was) and it was a bit on the warm side in there. Just a bit.
(4)Holly J.
We love this place and come here often. Reliably delicious breakfast entrees. Lunch is good, but not as good as breakfast. The french toast is like a really delicious bread pudding. It's thick and custardy, comes with real maple syrup, and when you order it with fresh berries (in season) it can't be beat. Eggs benedict are exactly as they should be: runny and buttery with a good thick hollandaise sauce. One note of caution about breakfast: make your own coffee before you go, because theirs is pretty bad. Some people have remarked that the wait staff at Chach can be a bit prickly. In 2010 there did seem to be one disgruntled waiter, that's true, but the others are all fine, not chit-chatty but efficient and attentive. Nine times out of ten we've gotten good or great service and the food is good enough to make up for the occasional grump. The reason this place doesn't get five stars (besides the lackluster coffee) is that it is not air conditioned. Inexplicably their solution on hot days is to close the doors (NO BREEZE!) and put on a couple of fans. This doesn't work. P-Town usually doesn't get unbearably hot, but when it does, it really doesn't make sense to eat at Chach.
(4)Jeff S.
Went yesterday for lunch food was OK not great Pulled pork how can you mess that up hot and nice roll prices were OK not a bargain Homemade Chips and Fires were great no waiting only a couple tables were filled,,,, might give it another shot
(3)James T.
I don't write reviews often, but couldn't let this one go by. I was completely shocked at the pricing and portion size of the food here. I ordered breakfast two eggs, bacon, and homefries. I ordered coffee too. What did I get.....Two small eggs, two measley sllces of bacon, and 5 small pieces of homefries. Oh and the coffee so bad, I couldn't get past my 1/2 of a a 6 ounce cup, and did I mention it was $2.50 for the budget coffee? We ordered the Biscuits and gravy too, and were shocked at the serving. Smaller than 1/2 of a deck of cards, and a very small amount of gravy, all for the small price of $9.95! Really? Was there GOLD in them thar Biscuits? The total bill for two of us for breakfast each ordering 2 egg & bacon orders, ONE Biscuits & Gravy, one coffee ...... $34.00 without tip! YIKES! I am not expecting huge amounts of food, but come on really? I have been here 2 other times and thought maybe it was a Summer thing, but even in the off season the food and service was the same mediocre and poor! I LOVE supporting local small business, but this one has pushed me over the edge. Chach you will NOT get a recommendation from me.
(1)Rozzie M.
Fun place, nice service. Excellent banana pancakes and waffles.
(4)Jeff D.
If there's a better breakfast to be had in Ptown, I can't imagine what it would be. I ate breakfast at Chach's twice over Columbus Day weekend. The service, atmosphere, and THE FOOD were all wonderful. Plenty of seating, despite it being a very popular spot, and very friendly & efficient wait staff. I enjoyed the mushroom/feta/spinach omelette so much on my first visit that I repeated the meal on my second. Friends enjoyed pancakes, eggs, and a roast beef hash that sounded near heaven. Great price point for the usually expensive Ptown, too. Heartily recommended to anyone visiting Provincetown for breakfast and/or lunch.
(4)Eddie Y.
"Dreamy Blueberry Pancakes" I am not a morning person. I would much rather sleep in the morning and skip the breakfast thing so I guess I am more of a brunch person. However, being far from home and the six-hour time change I found myself up early and ready to eat on my first day of vacation here in Provincetown, HB loves his breakfast so it was off to Chach, one of his favorite spots. Early summer mornings can be a little chilly here on the capes so a cup of fresh hot coffee is for me a great start. Chach is a little diner located outside the Commercial St zone but is still within walking distance. The breakfast menu has a wide selection of traditional breakfast food and some very interesting special "brunch" items. This morning I had the Cod Cake Benedict and it was delicious, two good-sized cod cakes a top of English muffins with nice hollandaise sauce. But what interested me the most were HB's blueberry pancakes. Big fluffy pancakes loaded and I mean loaded with fresh blueberries were just heavenly and I could not resist, maybe I am dreaming... I think I could get use to this breakfast thing... (July 1, 2008 Tuesday)
(4)Heather S.
Fantastic little diner-ish place with a great, friendly vibe. Off the beaten track a bit (5-10 minute walk from the madness on Commercial St), but worth the trek. Portions tend to be pretty large, and the food is fresh and tasty. We were there a little bit later this weekend, and had lunch-- I had the turkey club and my partner had the pulled pork sandwich. Both were good, and the fries are outta this world! Open 7-3 daily, cash only. This place is great!
(4)Oscar H.
We look forward every year to eating at Chach, A must try are the eggs Benedict and the blueberry pancakes. A little bit of a wait, but you will appreciate.
(5)Stephanie B.
Still my favorite place for breakfast, it is a combination of the wonderful food and the great wait staff.
(5)Peter K.
. Great place great food. Great staff. Good home cooking
(4)Ari R.
Um, is this french toast even made on this planet? WTF! It is so goddamn good. I look forward to it every time we visit. The fried chicken salad is also a 10. The waitstaff is as sweet as pumpkin pie the times we've been. Maybe it's because we're so goddamn goodlooking. Go here!
(5)Beth M.
Okay, I'm going to try and be nice about this, and not start ranting about our crappy experience here. My peach buckle muffin thingy was an excellent takeout breakfast, and the coffee was yummy. My man's english muffin with butter was fine. 2 stars for pleasant nourishment. BUT-- the waitstaff is SO surly here. I'm not sure if they were pissed that we wanted take-out instead of a sit down breakfast or what. The ladies we ordered from were inexplicably snobby and curt...one of them wouldn't even make eye contact with us, and the other actually made fun of my husband's t-shirt in a sincerely mean way. (lobster playing with a ball of yarn) Anyway, whatever. We won't be back.
(2)Scott M.
Great food, rude service, the manager needs to SORT IT OUT. (and we definitely did not deserve it)

Heaven, I'm in Heaven. What? I'm not in Heaven, I'm in Chach? As has been abundantly stated, the most amazing, HEAVENLY, vanilla-infused French toast ever made. I can't finish it, can't eat the middle because it gets too soggy and gloopy. But the crusty edges, thick all the way up and down: give me more, 'til I burst! I love the waitstaff. I think some are leftover from the last restaurant here whose name escapes me. I love the woman with the fish tattoos. Is she a Pisces? I don't know, ask her. She also has a great haircut and a sort of typical "does she like me or hate me?" Provincetown vibe. The older gentlemen waiters who are generous with the "sweeties" and "honeys" are an easier read: obviously they love me. My kids love it, my hubby loves it, my mother (yes, my unpleaseable mother) loves it, our friends love it, our kids' friends love it. Closed on Wednesdays, so don't take a 3-hour walk down the beach from your condo and expect a big hunking breakfast on a Wednesday. If you've never vacationed in Ptown yet, you may be surprised at the prices, which are on the high side, esp. considering that this is mostly breakfast. The music can be unpredictably loud or simply too Ptown for me. Lots of locals, always a good sign. Chach gets thumbs up with a twist (highest rating).

Chach very much has a "hometown feel". That being said, it's not a home - it's a restaurant, so clean up a little bit! My first impression was that every. single. table. was dirty. After having to ask someone to clean a table, we sat down on the ripped pleather seats and were pleasantly surprised at the exciting menu. There were lots of Mexican-infused breakfast dishes, i.e. Huevos Rancheros, and the service was pretty good (nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about either). The prices were decent averaging about $10/person post-breakfast + coffee. Would I go again? Definitely! Would I go out of my way to go again? Probably not!

I'm very picky and must say that everything at Chach is wonderful-- authentic, homemade, and delicious. I go there all the time for lunch and breakfast and loved it when they were open for dinner. The soups are spectacular and everything is just top notch in a down-home real-food kind of way. Not fancy at all but truly a great meal! One of my favorites in Ptown!

Excellent food, service. Coffee was fresh and hot. The vanilla flavored french toast with fruit was insanely tasty as was the Eggs Benedict. Great staff.

A personal local favorite. The price and quality can't be beat. The diner atmosphere is very comfortable. My favorite is the black bean burger (I love how messy it is), but the French toast is divine. I've never taken a friend there who didn't like it. I'm a food snob, and appreciate the good ingredients they use. It's usually the first place I think of when trying to decide on a place for breakfast of lunch. I'd like to try the Mexican dinner Tuesday nights - just haven't had the chance yet.

I tried this place yesterday and after waiting about 10 minutes was seated at a table near the window where there was an unbelievably cold draft on my legs. I don't think this place even has a heater, they just figure the customers will generate body heat. The service is AWFUL! There are plenty of workers, yet they all run around like chickens with their heads cut off and do nothing, they just make it seem like they're doing something. When my waiter first came over I said what I wanted to drink, and 15 minutes later got it! He wasn't even doing anything, just running in circles over nothing. This place is not big at all, yet the staff think they're working in a place the size of Versailles! Do yourself a favor and don't dine here. The staff is unfriendly, dumb, and inefficient. The food is nothing to rave about ei

Just simply horrible !! Please avoid this place !!...just so I dont have to wait in line for the best coffee I have ever had !! I swear it must have crack sprinkled in because it is just soooooo good !! And this coming from a total latte snob !! And please dont order any of the breakfast food like the french toast because I want to make sure there is enough for me. So do yourself a favor a go elsewhere and leave this hidden gem to those that love it !!!

This place opened in 2005 and is my favorite restaurant in Ptown. I almost always have the french toast which is basically pan-fried bread pudding. It's so awesome! I've had their fried chicken salad, BLT, and burger. All of which fantastic and reasonably priced for a diner in Ptown during the summer. The other bonus this place has over Edwige (for example) is there's PARKING! Plus, this place is really cute. The diner counter area also has 3 tables set up with teacups and saucers, placemats and gingham table clothes. The main dining room is all booths with red vinyl seats and 50's style tables. The service is warm and friendly though don't expect too much if you come on a Sunday and the restaurant is totally slammed with church-goers. The diner isn't very big so the place can fill up fast! Great coffee and stay for the chocolate fudgy cake!!

I've been to Chach every time I make it down to Ptown. The main dining room has big windows and brightly colored booths. Although the service can be slow, (but the wait staff is almost always cheery) and sometimes you have to wait for a table on weekend mornings (especially in the summer), it's worth the wait. The Eggs Benedict is the best I've ever tasted in a restaurant and check out the specials, because they often do variations with steak or crab. Also, the French Toast is another must have. It's soaked over-night in an incredible vanilla custard. It can get a little pricey for a breakfast joint, and they don't take credit cards, so make sure you bring cash.

Dynamite no-frills slightly upscale diner. Mushroom, feta, and spinach omelette was generously proportioned but not ridiculously huge, and very tasty. My friend Joe had the breakfast burrito, which had the rarely achieved proper proportion of eggs to beans. I was sorely tempted by the special French toast - their vanilla base topped with bananas and caramel sauce - but I stuck with the savory. I'll be back. Worth the walk/bike ride up the hill.

Had breakfast here 3 or 4 times. Always fast service and good "diner style" food. I enjoy that they have booth seating. My only complaint is that it's often too warm inside on a summer morning. If higher A/C is not PC, then at least get some better fans, Chach!

I must admit even with the strange name and stranger wait staff the food is good. If you don't mind being waited on by a bitter older gay guy and a bitter and angry lesbian the food is good. Someone in the kitchen knows what they're doing. But to wait 20minutes for the waitress to bring you the menu and another 20 for them to complete the transaction at the end of the meal is a bit trying.

Nice little breakfast place. Great ambience (diner style, with booths) and good food. The pancakes and egg special were nice, coffee was good. Full breakfast menu with specials.
