Have dined here every year for ten years on my annual trek to the east coast. Good food and service. This year was taken aback by the demeanor and attitude of the hostess. We asked about a booth and this seemed to irritate her. I asked her to check how long the wait would be for a booth and she seemed put out but did go and check..came back and in two curt words. Said soon. When she sat us she slapped the menus on the table, not saying a word. Server Michelle was great. Hostess getting too old and bad tempered to greet cutomers

The view is great , the staff friendly but awful food... ( my two stars ) I had what was supposed to be sautéed shrimp but it was breaded and underneath the shrimp was tough For these prices I would expect better food and presentation What I got I would expect in a bar ..... The place is dreary and old - put down some new carpet ......

Crappy food rude waitress. Will never go back. Went with a group, waitress practically threw the food at us, walked away in the middle of taking a drink order. Sub par food for the price. Did I mention the ride waitress??? We have been coming here for years- all done. Hope they go under

We went on Mother's day and despite the crowd, service was great. We had a one year old and a vegetarian in our party. The waitress was very accommodating in that regard. The food was good. It's mostly seafood but there are other items on menu. This IS WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE. There is a wheelchair ramp at the front door and an elevator that takes you to the second floor. The bathrooms are accessible.

Really disappointed in this place especially after our tour bus driver just raved about it. I ordered the stuffed shrimp and the menu described it has having a Ritz cracker topping. The shrimp was not stuffed and I think they put half a box of cracker on top. Absolutely no flavor. My sides were just as bad. Potato was over cooked and the slaw was bland. The clam chowder was basically a gravy. Service was just ok. Overall the location was nice, but was not impressed at all.

Isaac's, is a very spectacular restaurant, not in design. But in the quality of food and service. The platters are huge and delicious, I recommend you going there.

Lot's of gray hair here, good thing I had a touch up. Great location and so-so food and service. Skip the clam chowder. It was very pasty. The service was slow and there were several inaccuracies.

This place gets a bad rap sometimes but we had a great time here last night. The place was beautifully decorated for the season and the view of the harbor is tough to beat. We had flawless service from our waiter (don't remember his name but he can't shave yet). The Ceaser salad was gigantic and we shared 2 between the four of us, with anchovies upon request. The dressing wasn't the greatest but it was light and fresh and the greens were also fresh and crisp. They serve hot rolls to start which is a nice touch. We all had seafood: Nantucket haddock was done with shrimp on top along with a nice seafood white sauce, two decent side dishes come with all meals. Other diners in our group had the baked haddock with Ritz cracker stuffing and also the sauteed shrimp special was enormous. Several doggie bags went home. Service was great, drinks came fast as did all the courses despite a busy Friday night.

OMG! We did a whirl-wind site seeing drive trough New England and this was the best meal we had, and we had a lot of great meals! We ordered the clam chowder and fish and chips. For a week, I ordered a cup of clam chowder for almost every meal, just to compare different versions, and Isaacs was definitely the best. When the fish and chips came out, I have to admit, they looked a little different than what I was used to, but they were awesome. The batter was light and crispy and the fish was melt in your mouth good. I would definitely recommend this place. Btw . . . The little souvenir shop just below Isaacs is worth a look as well. The owner was just as nice as could be and even gave us a nice hot apple cider to warm us up. I LOVED Plymouth!

The location and views are great. However, for the money they charge, I expected better food. Maybe it was what we ordered because the restaurant was busy. It's up to you.

) I have been coming here with my family since I was a kid. Tonight, however, might have been the last time. Let me start by saying that the food was fine for the most part. The service was a mess. Also, the place has been in need of a face lift for years. (I always notice how sticky the chair backs are, how dirty the upholstery is, etc.) It was very busy, as it was a Tuesday and they do a special on Mondays and Tuesdays which attracts quite a crowd. WIth three of our 8 person party having spent 10-15 years each in the service industry, we were all more than understanding and polite. The waitress...not so much. She was flustered and she did not handle it well. Actually, she took it out on us. We were sat 25 minutes after our reservation. There was no water on the table. She said she'd be back soon to take our drink order. After getting our drinks, we didn't see her for another 25 minutes. We had to ask someone else to get her so we could order. One of our members of the party is a vegetarian and asked for shrimp scampi (which they had on the menu with chicken and scallops so shouldn't have been a big deal-this was met with an exasperated, half joking, half not, remark about how the chef was going to throw a pan at her head for asking this) and when it came, there were 3 (THREE!) shrimp on the plate of pasta. Once we finished ordering, we didn't get our food for another 30+ minutes. The table was not marked, so everyone had to ask for new forks, steak knives, condiments, etc. Each of these requests was met with a sigh, an eye roll, or no response at all. When we asked for more drinks, she'd just write it down without acknowledging it. So rude. You'd think she didn't realize these drinks were making the check and therefore her tip, bigger. The funny thing was, all of a sudden after we'd been served, she became attentive. She was clearing plates as fast as possible while the guest of honor and my 92 year old grandfather were still enjoying their meals. This seemed like a skill/class deficit. We had asked for a birthday cake when we sat down. This never came. She was offering coffee/dessert and we all sort of paused, wondering about the cake. When someone whispered to her, "Is there a cake coming?" She ran away and said under her breath, "I remembered." It was almost comical how terrible each and every aspect of the whole evening was. The whole thing took 3 hours, and some of the guests had come right from work and had to work early in the morning. It ate up the whole evening. When we informed management how bad it was, they spoke to her right away and she approached our table to defend herself. So uncouth. Management did compensate us, but it was just such a wet blanket on what was supposed to be a celebration. Such a pretty location and potentially good food, but spend some time cleaning up the place and the staff.

Just know that many fingers got into your plate to steal a bit food before it gets to your table. NASTY!

The food was great. The view was great. The service was great. And the prices are reasonable.
