Considering Bertucci's is a chain restaurant, it's has some pretty amazing Italian food to offer. And it's better than the Olive Garden that's probably about one hundred yards away. My whole family enjoy's Bertucci's, and they have nothing but good to say about this fine Italian eatery in Colony Place. Are you hungry, passing by, and want Italian? Well, you're best option is right in front of you. The food here is great, and I always start off with the warm and hot, fresh baked rolls with butter and oil that my mother loves. I preferably would rather have butter, but I've tried the oil before and it's actually not bad. Sometimes for an appetizer we'll get mild chicken wings, and considering they're mild, they are pretty hot. But the best part about them is the delicious and tender meat. For dinner, I usually get one of two things: Ravioli or Chicken Parmesan. The ravioli's are pretty good, but the cheese inside is a little too creamy, but not much of a problem. My favorite meal is the chicken parmesan. With the delicious chicken, melted cheese, amazing marinara sauce, and the ziti, it's heaven in an Italian restaurant. My mother also says how great the eggplant parmesan and salads are, so they must be worthy of going back almost every week. The service is above average, I would say. The waitresses are for the most part, friendly, and they tend to check up on you frequently. After ordering you're main meal, the food should be out in about 15 minutes, which is pretty good considering it's always crowded inside. I don't know why, but some Bertucci's restaurants are better than others, and this one is the best. And yes, it's rather clean inside, but the bathrooms could use some more help with piss on the floor near the toilets. I could even see it when I'm just washing my hands. I HATE PUBLIC BATHROOMS! Bertucci's is creative and delicious and preferable over Olive Garden. It does have some amazing Italian food worth trying. And as I said before, some Bertucci's are better than others, and this one is my favorite. What's not to love?

Reliable and creative Italian fare. This location has better atmosphere than some others, although all tend to be good. Some nice options with seafood which you don't always find at Italian places. Despite being a chain, always manages to avoid the cookie-cutter, mass-produced, feeling that I get from places like Olive Garden. Each location has it's own style. Why not 5 stars? Main dishes frequently come out of the kitchen only a couple minutes after soups, salads and appetizers leaving you with no time to enjoy it all before some of it gets cold. Some of the waitstaff can be very professional and courteous, but they also have a fair share of staff with the too-chummy "hey guys, how's it going?" approach that is better suited to selling cell phones at a mall kiosk. Last, they are occasionally skimpy with expensive ingredients such as shrimp and lobster. Recently, I had a lobster, shrimp, and pasta dish in which they used cheap "popcorn" shrimp and only the meat from a single lobster claw. That being said, the family always enjoys going here and rarely leaves disappointed.

The food was absolutely delicious. The alfredo sauce is really good and not gritty like other chains. The rolls were fresh, soft and hot. The service was not very good. My drink was not refilled for at least 15 minutes and the table next to us(different server) had 3 different refills during this time. I finally asked a different server for a refill and she was very prompt and apologized. I will definitely be back.

We've gone twice. It's new in Plymouth and do prefer it over The Olive Garden which is nearby within Colony Place. Bertucci's is near the new hotel down the street a few hundred yards. Their salad dressing is made with Balsamic and not the tongue twisting white vinegar at the Garden. They have come up with what they call new meatballs which I hate to say it ,are "Superior to Olive Garrden's". Eat one by itself and see. They even have a meatball sandwich if you wish. The pricing is so similar to the Garden especially lunch pricing. In addition you get these fabulous hot rolls "homemade at each location" that are to die for along with garlic and herb infused olive oil to dip them in. The servers are so good to keep those rolls coming along with the salad you're stuffed before your food arrives. I did try their Minestrone which is not as good as the Garden's. I'm going to try the Sausage soup which apparently they are known for next time. The wait staff are very good with prompt seating. The menu is pretty extensivie. They do take out and apparently some type of Business delivery for the Colony area. I Hate to say it but I think we will be going here rather than the Olive Garden we've gone to for years. Those rolls will suck you in!!

Normally I like this place last night not at all. Called ahead for a party of ten and walked in and they looked at me with a puzzled look. Our waitress did not seem interested in waiting on us. Barely checked on us. Now food. It was awful. The spegetti dishes were all under cooked and stuck together like it was cooked in a microwave and the Alfredo was watery. I was very unhappy with my service and will think twice before I go back

WIldly disappointed with my last (and it is my LAST) visit to Bertucci's. The food was not up to par at all, the rolls were not hot, the Caesar salad was laughable- a pathetic excuse for a salad- but at least we got to stare at it for the whole meal, since our table was not cleared of starters, salad or wine glasses all night. The Bolognese was thin and not at all meaty, the lobster ravioli was fishy and unpalatable. The chicken piccata was made well and my friend said she enjoyed it. Our surly waitress had no interest in being the least bit friendly, and when we asked her about not clearing our table, she said the table was too long and she couldn't reach our empty plates and such. All in all, we were not made to feel like guests, but more like a bother to her- this in combination with the lackluster food will keep me from returning.

Beware the chicken domani! Sure the menu says chicken in wine sauce, gemelli pasta, asiago cheese and SPINACH !! Sounds awesome. Until you take a big ol' healthy bite of spinach and find out it's wrapped in with SAGE and BASIL!!! Talk about instant projectile vomit into the closest napkin. And the server? She's right there to tell you that AFTER THE FACT!! Otherwise, Bertucci's is a solid B-, B on a good night.

I think the quality of the pizza has gone down- haven't been there in a few years until yesterday (I moved to la) but it wasn't as good as I remembered... But still not bad. I love te tomato sauce here! Customer service was very good :-)

I think the pizza here is better than the pizza at their Hingham location. Great ice tea.

TERRIBLE!!!!!! Worst service/meal my boyfriend or I have ever had. Our waiter didn't know how to open a wine bottle so he asked us awkwardly to do it ourselves as he blocked his managers view if us. He never cleared table, had the dirtiest finger nail I've ever seen. Food came out and it was awesome. Rubbery microwaved chicken And dry pasta. He then basically told us to hurry up because he has to clock out so he needed our check. Somehow this meal costed us $75...!!?!?!? This app is making give 1 star... Otherwise I'd wouldn't give bertuccis any. Don't go here.

It's dependable. The thing that separates chain restaurants for me is customer service and do they keep quality high. At this Bertucci's, I say, yes they do. It's next to a hotel and maybe that's why they fill orders like a machine, accurate and fast. Also, this location is a lot quieter than most, again I think because the crowd is different and not so many screaming kids as most of them. Pizza- at no Bertucci's have I had a pizza that would be more than a 3 star anywhere, they just don't make a great pizza- too dry and not enough toppings. But the pasta is good and the portions are strong. Chicken Domani- so happy they brought it back from the archives because it's DELICIOUS. Like chicken piccata with spinach added and a little garlic. Rigatoni Rosario, the Tuscan Chicken wings, roasted vegetables appetizer are fantastic! They make one of my favorite Caesar salads, great grilled chicken, a nice dressing and as much shaved Parmesan as you like. Catering orders are even better- the portions say feeds 5-6 and we routinely serve 10 out of an order of Chicken Piccata that comes WITH salad included and as many of the to-die-for rolls as you like added. Good value, good food, good service- all my boxes are ticked off here!

The pizza is pretty good and I like the Eggplant parmesan. I order online and there are coupons in the paper so there are ways to save $10. The hostess tonight was nice, but it took longer to bake a fresh cookie than she realized (last week they were wrapped up and ready to go so I didn't bother ordering in advance). Unfortunately, that parking lot is super cramped with the massive snowbanks. It's not entirely their fault. I was blocked in because someone parked in the area boxed-off in the middle (yellow stripes). Anyway, a staff member was quick to find the owner and have him move the Jeep so three of us could get out. The downside was that my pizza was room temp by the time I got home because it was done well before the eggplant parm. Anyway, I'll be back.

Arrived, ordered drinks & were brought rolls w/dip after ordering our meals. My wife asked for butter - finally on our third "ask", butter arrived. As we watched 2 other tables that had arrived long after us receive their meals (app 30 minutes), I finally got our server's attention & asked if she might check on our meals. "I just did & they ran out of meatballs" I did notice that another table arriving after us had been served meatballs. App 10 minutes later, our food arrived & was fine. A woman came shortly after whom I assume? was the manager (she never identified herself), apologized & said "dessert is on me". Server brought our check & asked what we would like for dessert. I asked for 2 cheesecakes. She didn't answer, but held up 1 finger???? Ohhhhh.... Did we BOTH NOT WAIT????? Unbelievable!!! We dine out pretty much every nite & live a mile away. Heads up, Bertucci's?? You just lost a few grand a year over a lousy $2 piece of cheesecake.

Stayed next door at the Hampton and walked over just because it was close. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bread was good and very warm. I had the chicken Marcella, it was good as were the potatoes but the beans were charred. The portions were VERY small. I thought for what you got the prices were quite high. I'd skip this place since there is many other dining choices nearby.

Staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites, I wanted a quick bite to eat. Decided to walk over to Bertucci's. i was unaware that it was a chain. The theme of the restaurant was nice and the workers seemed friendly. We were given bread with oil to dip with hints of garlic taste. The bread and oil dip was delicious. Probably the best bread and oil combo I've had at a chain restaurant. I ordered baked tortellini and chicken gratinati. It was definitely not the best out there but it's good for a chain. Also, the verde pizza was delicious. The fresh arugula and garlic combo was a taste of heaven. I would recommend this place to anyone staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites who want a quick bite to eat.

Not sure about all the bad reviews. Granted this is a chain restaurant but so is Olive Garden. Service was excellent and the food was tasty. The meal starts with fresh and hot ciabatta rolls and seasoned oil. Appetizer was the Cheese and Meat plate. Nice start though the toasted bread left some to be desired (especially after the rolls). Main course was the Mediterranean Pesto Salmon Salad. Salmon was moist and flaky with a simple yet tasty Balsamic dressing. Also had the Ultimate Bertucci Brick Oven Pizza. Though it sounds like all ingredients would be throughout the pizza, each ingredient was individually on 2 slices. Would recommend and yes you could have Authentic Italian in the area, but there are no complaints about Bertucci's. Beats Olive Garden.

I have had no issue dining at Bertucci's in the past 10 years. I have dined at Braintree, Hingham, and Plymouth locations. I always experience good customer service and food quality and quantity. There's no place can beat there prices for lunch just for $8.00 including salad whether it's free or not. They have a good red sauce and pizza. I will keep going to Bertucci's until further notice.

This place is ok. Bertuccis has good food but you dont get big portions at this place. They have some good pasta but the pizza here is to be desired. Called once for pickup when was on the Train when we got to Burtucci's on time they had not even started making the dinners yet. There were not many people in the restaurant either, Just neglect on their part. The food is good, prices are high and small portions, if you got the money and want something different go for it, or head to one of the other many - many places in plymouth to eat

I like this location but they always seem to want to keep that free lunch salad they offer top secret. Last time I asked, they said they only tell people about the free lunch salad AFTER they order, maybe to get them to buy an appetizer? Hmmm... I do really love the pizza and the rolls and the dipping sauce though - simple and delicious. Just don't let them stiff you on the salad ;)

A mild step up from Applebees. I hate eating at chains but my date suggested it. The balsamic dressing was from an immature and uninspired bottle that you would find at the grocery store for three bucks. For a lunch salad, it was serviceable.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
